As longtime LAAC member, I highly recommend a wedding or other fine event at the LA Athletic Club. Elegant options, excellent food and presentation available.

    Ahhhhmazing

From start to end, this venue and their staff have been an absolute dream to work with. After our previous wedding venue fell through LESS THAN 2 MONTHS till our wedding day, we scheduled a tour with Christie and signed on right away. The venue is gorgeous and you really need very little in terms of decor to dress it up for your wedding- we just added some light floral decorations. Christie and Terri made the whole planning process so easy and stress free. And the food was so good; there is such a large variety of cuisines and you could also change things up as you’d like! We had several guests who work in the wedding industry comment that it was some of the best food they’ve ever had at a wedding. Would not change a thing!

    The Perfect Day

Our wedding at The LAAC is what dreams are made of!!! Everything was perfect! The venue, food, drinks, & service was top notch!!! If you have the pleasure of having your big day here, please request Christie to be your coordinator! You will not regret it! She was very attentive and didn’t mind alllllll of the questions we had. Terry was also amazing at helping us with the block of rooms in the hotel! I couldn’t have asked for a better experience!

    Amazing room block experience

We spoke to many hotels in the Downtown Los Angeles area and none were as accommodating in having a room block as LAAC. Working with Teri to set everything up was a pleasure! As if that wasn’t enough, when we checked in the hotel and facilities turned out to be amazing. Our guests raved about the incredible spa, gym, and sports facilities and the hotel rooms and staff were also top notch. Also, the included breakfast every day was delicious! We recommend using them for your next event and hope to be guests there again soon.

    Our Dream Wedding

We knew right away that we wanted to get married at a private club in downtown Los Angeles, so we were between LAAC and the California Club. However, even though the ballroom at the California Club is more grand, the amenities (gym, spa, etc) at the LAAC are bar none, and given that we would have so many guests come in from out of town, it was imperative that there were enough hotel rooms for them.

From day one, the LAAC has been great to work with. We were members here so we felt like we were treated like family. Christie is amazing: she's young, hip, and has great ideas on finishing touches to get your wedding to a level 11 on a 10 scale. Teri, who was in charge of our hotel room block, worked so hard to make sure we had enough rooms for our guests -- in the end we booked out 30 rooms!

Our original date was affected by COVID, and we had to postpone our wedding twice, and the Club never once balked, but worked with us for over a year to finally get us to our big day. The tastings were the best part for us: not only do you get to work with the chef in creating your menu, the food options themselves are exquisite. We had tomato bisque shooters and lobster apps for tray pass, followed by a four course dinner. We're a bit biased, but the food here is not your typical banquet prepared food, it's on par with five-star restaurants anywhere in LA. Service was also a dream. The service staff is like a well-oiled machine and that's the upside to booking a venue like the Club with its own employees instead of hiring an outside caterer.

At the end of the night, so many of our friends told us that it was the best wedding that they had ever been to, and it was the best compliment.

Appeased the Crazy Bride & Groom

My bride and I asked a lot of LAAC for our wedding. We poured over every excruciating detail of our menu and apparently requested more tastings than any other couple before us. We pushed extremely hard for a cocktail menu that was so involved it required several days of additional prep. We were THAT couple who couldn't let anything go and probably drove everyone crazy.

Everyone at LAAC took it all in stride. Roxy, Director of Catering, somehow managed to keep us from going crazy and delivered on everything we asked her for. Brandon, Bar Supervisor, went above and beyond his duties to hit the ambitious mark we set for him and he was on the money. Melissa was the warmest and most attentive server we could have asked for. And while we didn't get to work much with Rob leading up to our wedding, it eventually became evident that he had been working very hard for us behind the scenes.

Thank you to everyone at LAAC for the support, well-wishes, bearing with us, but most importantly for delivering on a set of ridiculously high and nearly unfair expectations. We're so happy with how everything went and will forever treasure our new LAAC family.

Outstanding rehearsal dinner and hotel rooms

We recently hosted a wedding rehearsal dinner and a block of hotel rooms at the Los Angeles Athletic Club. The dinner was for 50 persons. The dinner was delicious and very efficiently served with just the right timing following a cocktail reception. The serving staff was pleasant and attentive in every respect. We thank the kitchen and serving staff for a wonderful dinner and evening.
The hotel rooms, dining room and all facilities were beautiful and perfectly maintained. Truly a charming, elegant hotel in every way and very fairly priced.

Amazing venue and experience from start to finish!

We got married at the Los Angeles Athletic Club on December 1, 2018 and the entire experience was unforgettable. We knew right away that this unique historic space was a perfect fit for us.

Beyond the beautiful facilities, the entire team was warm, welcoming, and professional. Roxy clearly navigated us through the wedding process and made every step memorable. From the venue walk-through to the food tasting to our engagement photos, everything felt like a bespoke experience. She even took the time to teach us the basics of the tango for our first dance.

Our wedding weekend was so much fun! I got to start the day with a swim in their incredible pool and my husband started his day with a game of basketball with his groomsmen and it all went up from there. We loved staying at the LA Athletic Club on our wedding weekend and having our loved ones stay there as well. We cannot thank the whole team enough for making us and all of our guests feel so taken care of. We are excited to make the Club our anniversary spot!

    Wedding at the LAAC

We just got married at the Athletic Club on March 9th, 2019.

The venue is amazing with so much history and beauty in the heart of Dtla. Our guests were blown away by the charm and uniqueness of the club. Our ceremony was on the rooftop with beautiful views of the city. Our guests were greeted with a champagne toast before the ceremony began.

The entire process with Roxy was super smooth and she made it seem not so overwhelming. She was very accommodating and was always there if I needed anything. She is AMAZING! Super knowledgeable and goes the extra mile to make sure you’re day is everything you hoped for!

Roxy set up a tasting for us to put together the menu and the food was spectacular! The service team made us feel like we were family and we knew we had made the right decision.

The food on the big day was amazing and our guests all LOVED IT! (Not your typical bland wedding food)We went with a Cuban themed buffet and it was a hit!

We blocked off rooms for the guests and Terri made the process super easy! The rooms were spacious and made for a great wedding weekend. We were given complimentary wedding suite for the night of the wedding and it did not disappoint.

The bartenders, wait staff and everyone else at the club were professional, friendly and fun.

I would highly recommend having your wedding here, you won’t regret it!

Thank you to everyone at the Los Angeles Athletic club for making our day so special we couldn’t be happier!

    Amazing venue and experience!

My daughter’s wedding was held at the Los Angeles Athletic Club on March 2, 2019. What an incredible experience it was from our initial visit to the venue, to preparing the contract, to the food tasting, to the wedding! Roxy Adlesh and her team at the Los Angeles Athletic Club are amazing! Roxy was always available and responded to us immediately, even when she was dealing with a family emergency! To say she was nice and wonderful to deal with is quite the understatement. The night of the wedding ceremony and reception, Roxy’s team were top notch.

The venue itself is classic and beautiful, exactly what we were looking for! The food was amazing! Everyone commented how great the food was—the hors d’oeuvres, the salmon, the hangar steak, and even the vegetarian/vegan option! Most event venues serve okay food, but the meals here at LAAC were outstanding! The wait staff were incredibly attentive and responsive to our every request. Rob and his team did a wonderful job!

In addition, LAAC has a hotel onsite and they will block rooms for your guests. The rooms are beautiful! Definitely not the standard hotel room you would find elsewhere. The rooms at LAAC all have character, and you feel like you’re staying at someone’s home. Teri Onerato was a delight to work with! Although we live in the Los Angeles area, we all booked rooms for the weekend so we could truly enjoy the whole experience and not deal with LA traffic!

What an incredible wedding weekend, all thanks to the wonderful team at the Los Angeles Athletic Club! Thank you Roxy and her team at LAAC! We cannot recommend this venue highly enough!!

    Perfect Wedding Venue in DTLA

We looked a lot of wedding venues around the area, but none of them had all the elements we were looking for. Having been a member for a couple years we were familiar with the LA Athletic Club, but I always assumed it would be way out of our price range and that we'd only be renting a venue. Roxy, the Event Coordinator / Director of Catering is simply the best. She handled virtually everything. Having heard horror stories of other weddings, I was relieved that she had planning weddings at the LA Athletic Club down to a science. The food was EXCELLENT. We even rented out the bar for the after-party and Rob the banquet manager helped us set up our own playlist over the clubs speakers. It was all perfect, and my wife and I couldn't have asked for a better experience. It's truly the best place to have your greatest day.

One last thing, every single last preferred vendor was fantastic from the wedding photographer (Fitz) to our day of coordinator (T).

    Excellent Historic LA Wedding Venue

We researched and visited many venues for our daughter’s wedding reception. We were familiar with the Los Angeles Athletic Club (LAAC), however we assumed Membership was needed to host an event there. We found that was not the case.

In choosing her wedding reception location, our daughter had a few requests.
    1. A historic Los Angeles venue.
    2. Ability to provide a vegan food choice for the bride and some of the guests.
    3. On site accommodations, due to the large number of guests traveling from all areas of the country.
    4. After Party options at the venue, to follow the formal reception.

LAAC fulfilled all her desires and more.

The venue’s Centennial Ballroom and connecting Olympic Lounge gives the feeling of an old world, classic private club adorned with rich wood paneling, chandeliers, and timeless art. The photo opportunities were many, including the building’s rooftop views. Lastly, the Invention Bar adjacent to the Olympic Lounge, was the ideal place to host the After Party.

The food was delicious! Unlike many venues, your menu selections at LAAC are not picked from a list of pre-defined meal options. Instead, you work with the Event Coordinator and Executive Chef to create a custom menu of your desires. We were able to accommodate the vegans, vegetarians, and yet other guests who appreciate classic cuisine.

The service was exemplary! Roxy Adlesh, the Event Coordinator, worked tirelessly managing our function up through the start of dinner. Rob Adlesh, the Banquet Manager did a superb job managing the Banquet, Bar, and the After Party food and beverages. He was most gracious and accommodating to all requests asked of him. The Cocktail Hour, Reception, and After Party were all executed seamlessly thanks to the wonderful management and staff.
In all, every element of the evening was deemed a great success by the Bride, Groom, and all our guests.

The original wedding date was delayed an additional 9 months, so we had many conversations with Roxy Adlesh. She was at all times accommodating, gracious, mindful of all our wishes and budget. She has many years of experience in the field of catering and event management, and was an amazing source of information and expertise.

Teri Onorato, the LAAC Hotel manager was also so very accommodating, helpful and gracious when we requested additional rooms at the discounted room rate. Guests commented about the spaciousness, classic decor, yet modern features of their rooms. The Bride and Groom were given a lovely complimentary suite for their wedding night. The Mother and Father of the Bride received a beautiful corner suite at the single room rate. Plus, a delicious, complete breakfast is included with the room fee.

The Bride’s cousin, whose own wedding took place a month after ours stated, “The LAAC is so beautiful and the food so delicious, I want to scrap all my wedding plans and start all over here!” We wholeheartedly and without reservation recommend the LA Athletic Club as a wedding venue. There is not one detail or aspect of our event that disappointed. Actually, we’re glad we have another daughter to marry, so we can repeat our wonderful experience at the LAAC.

The LAAC was where my bride and I first met, and it was the most iconic location for our wedding. We worked with the Director of Catering, Roxy, and she put together the most beautiful event.

Early: Roxy will give you an all star team for the wedding. Just trust that she is giving you the best of the best. Roxy has a lot of knowledge about hosting weddings at the venue. Just talk to her about your dreams, and have some trust with her suggestions because she had some things that she protected us from that we would have never thought of.

3 Weeks Before: Final details get ironed out during a 2-4 hour meeting where you confirm final layouts, number of people, meals, etc. Everything that you can think of gets covered here. This front loads the effort and makes sure that the final days leading up to the wedding are less stressful. She sorts out a 90% final timeline and confirms all vendor arrivals so that she can work with the day of planner to make sure there is nothing that you need to think about on your wedding day.

Day of: Roxy is working with the wedding planner/coordinator to make sure that everything goes without fault. She was on top of it tasting food, making sure that the vendors could unload, ensuring her staff is quick and invisible to deliver the most amazing day of our entire lives!

Food: We received tons of compliments on the food. It is a fully custom menu, and you work with Roxy on all the ingredients and the recipes. We did a southern menu, and we did multiple tastings to make sure that we nailed everything. The chef met with us, and he made sure that he exceeded all expectations. He went 100% out of the box for a cheesy shrimp and grits recipe that he had never made before, and he crushed it! Well done! Only small note would be for the jalapeno poppers that they make them a little less spicy haha!

Venue for photos: One of the most diverse buildings in Los Angeles. This provides the best venue for photos. Just check out ours...

We couldn't have picked a better venue than the LAAC! Everything about the club was outstanding, starting with Roxy! Roxy was so helpful throughout the whole wedding process; we extremely grateful for everything she did. She was such a joy to work with, as well as the rest of the staff (Rob is amazing as well and super sweet)! We had such an amazing experience with everything, it was such a dream! Our guests are still raving about how beautiful everything was and how greatly they were treated by the staff. Thank you LAAC for helping us create a perfect wedding!

We could not have been more pleased with how our wedding was executed by the staff at LAAC. Special thank you to Roxy Adlesh the venue coordinator.

The process went very smoothly, the food was great, the venue is second to none.

Several people told us it was the best wedding they've ever been to.

Roxy Adlesh and the Los Angeles Athletic Club team made our wedding a dream come true. We couldn't have been happier with any part of it- from the richness of the venue to the flexibility of the team (thank you Roxy) and even the food (my family and guests said it was the best Beef Short Ribs they have ever had in their life!) You do not feel nickel and dimed here like most "wedding" venues. Roxy treated us like family members and accommodated us with special requests like- surprise Storm Troopers- and strict family dietary needs. The pricing is one of the most affordable in the city and you would never guess that from visiting the venue. It far exceeded our expectations and then some. The rooftop, ballroom and Invention Bar are the perfect venues for a couple looking for old world romance. Thank you Roxy and team!!

We absolutely LOVED this venue. We knew we wanted to have our wedding here from the moment we walked in. After seeing many venues, this one was the most special/different. Having been to a lot of weddings, I thought we'd have a hard time finding something different but we found it at LAAC. If you're going to get married here you're point-person will be this woman Roxy who is a wedding pro and will give you tons of great advice. And, picking a venue that has food, drink, rentals and hotels rooms for guests is a game changer. It was honestly a breeze having a wedding for 118 people here. All of our friends keep telling us what an incredible wedding it was and are asking us to do it again, ha. Oh - and the cost for all the things you get is pretty unbeatable. Cannot reccomend more!!!

I recently held my bridal shower brunch for almost 40 people in the Presidential Lounge (4th floor) of the Los Angeles Athletic Club. The room is absolutely gorgeous and feels like you are in a piece of history. My contact person was Roxy Adlesh and she was so down to earth and easy to work with. She was very conscientious and respectful about my budget and requirements. The staff was incredibly helpful and the banquet team helped me get everything in order, especially Rafael and Jose and another gentleman whose name I did not catch. They did an exceptional job and paid attention to every detail. My guests were so impressed by the team's friendliness - they were always around to help but literally did not get in anyones way. They even set up a PA system with microphone and were there every step of the way to make sure I was accommodated. I will be having many more events here in the future. Food was excellent and the ambience was so inspiring to work with. I created my own floral arrangements and table settings but did not bother with room decorations because the room itself is a work of art. Thank you LAAC, I am proud to be a member of your fine establishment.

We had our wedding at the LA Athletic Club in May 2016. The venue itself was exactly what we wanted. The Athletic Club has a rich history in Los Angeles and the ballroom’s wood columns, crystal chandeliers, and warm décor gave our reception the elegance and warmth that we were hoping for. We hosted a cocktail hour in the Olympic Lounge and the reception was in the Centennial Ballroom. We had 130 guests at our reception and we filled the ballroom comfortably. Roxy, the Catering Director, was unbelievably accommodating and beyond helpful throughout the entire process.
We reached out to Roxy in December 2014 (17 months before our wedding!) because we are both Type A personalities. Despite the fact that we are those people who read the fine print at the bottom of the contract and question every line item of the order, Roxy never tired of us. Throughout the planning process it was very apparent that Roxy had our best interests in mind. There were several times when Roxy told us, “Don’t waste your time and money on that. But, if you really want it we will do it.”
We were so happy with the service and family treatment we received from Roxy and her staff that we decided to host our rehearsal dinner and post-wedding brunch at the club as well. Roberto, the bartender, took care of us all weekend. By Sunday Brunch Roberto knew half of our family by name! The food for all three meals was incredible. Everyone said the meals were delicious and well beyond the typical “wedding food” that we’ve all had.
The venue speaks for itself: A private club with amazing décor and historical significance. The ballroom, lounge, and rooftop are all breathtaking. But, what really sets this location apart from the others is the service. From day one, Roxy and her staff were responsive, celebratory, and receptive to us and our wedding. The Los Angeles Athletic Club wowed us and our family for 17 months. We threw the biggest and best party of our lives thanks to Roxy and everyone else at LAAC.

We had our wedding a the LAAC and couldn't have been happier with the results. It has an incredible ballroom and interior that has been recently renovated. It has a feeling of being very classy without being stuffy. It also has a great rooftop although we opted for the ballroom (but did some pics on the rooftop post-ceremony.) With 150 people we fit comfortable in the ballroom and also the ceremony area (Olympic Lounge). We also did a cocktail hour and an after party in the Invention Lounge which was awesome. It was very reasonably priced compared to other venues downtown and the service was top-notch. We worked mainly with Roxy Adlesh who was incredibly helpful in our planning process and just an all-around awesome person to hang out with. Roxy gave us lots of options and was really responsive whenever we had questions or concerns. She also recommended a great day-of coordinator, T Keaton-Woods who ended up being a great help. LAAC provided all the food, beverages, tables, chairs, etc. The food was good and the beverage service was great. Our dinner captain, Brenda Abrahamian was also amazing and with Roxy and T made sure the evening went smoothly. Brenda was also great during our tasting and offered us a lot of great advice on how best to set up the rooms for the ceremony and reception. They are pros here clearly with so many events. The LAAC is also a hotel so it was helpful to have our wedding party stay here. There is also a great breakfast included with your room which was very nice and provided an easy meeting place for my wedding party for a good, quick meal. All in all, it was a great experience!

The Los Angeles Athletic Club is a wonderful place to have your wedding and reception. My husband, our families, and I had a wonderful experience working with the event coordinator, Roxy Adlesh, and her team. From A to Z this venue makes wedding planning so much easier. The building is classy, stylish, well-decorated and detailed and a little quirky. All we had to do was bring in beautiful flowers and it was a wedding! The chef is very talented and is on-site, you don't have to bring in a caterer who doesn't know the kitchen. The food on their suggested menus is amazing, but he can also create anything you might want. The servers and staff went out of their way to take care of our guests, our family and us. We also hosted a brunch there the morning after and he staff were still coming up to ask if there was anything they could do.
I cannot say enough about Roxy Adlesh. She is a wedding rockstar. She was 100% present during our meetings. She has so much experience with running weddings. When I had questions or worries, she was able to give me answers and put fears to rest.
My words of wisdom as a bride who LOVED her wedding day: HIRE THE BEST VENDORS! And then just let them do their work. You won't regret a minute of it.
Best of luck to all of you!

I was coordinating a wedding of my best friend Henny & Joe on 6/9/12. Kelly Bland, the Sales Manager is so awesome. She is very kind, patient, and very helpful. The set up on the rooftop for the wedding ceremony was done excellently, she was able to accommodate our needs, moving the cabanas so we can put the wedding arch. The hors d'oeuvres were fresh and superb. The service was excellent. The utmost important is the main course, wow, their New York Steak (Topped with a Tripple Pepper Corn Sauce. served with Red Roasted Potatos, Asparagus. and Baby Carrots) really made my day. The server were very professional and nice, the banquet manager was also very responsive, he was able to provide 1 veggie dish to one of our guest :-) Awesome!

We had our ceremony and reception here. The venue is gorgeous, the staff is professional and the food is delicious. Kelly is so easy to work with and she and Jose will make sure that your event goes perfectly.

We received so many compliments on the food, staff, venue, hotel, etc. etc. etc. I just cannot get over how great of a day it was. You just won't find another venue like LAAC.

The LAAC is a venue that takes you back in time to Old Hollywood glamour. The unassuming facade from the street betrays the elegance and excellence that thrives inside. We had our wedding ceremony and reception there last weekend and Kelly and Jose in catering saw to it that we had not a care in the world. Their professionalism in such a beautiful venue genuinely created the perfect setting for our event. The food prepared by Chef Boris' skilled hands, was prepared perfectly. Each meal was delicious and beautiful to behold. Absolutely everything was attended to with swift grace. Timing, food, rooms, service were all flawless. The newly renovated ballroom and guest rooms were elegant and maintained the flavor of the club's rich history, yet with modern amenities. Most of our family came in from out of town and stayed on site in the hotel. Each guest was delighted with their stay and raved about the accommodations and the hotel staff.

The LAAC truly has it all! Run - do not walk - to book your next event here. You will not be disappointed!

We had several requirements for our wedding - we wanted it to be indoors, we wanted the ceremony and the reception to be in the same place, and we wanted it to be in a unique venue. The Los Angeles Athletic Club met all of our requirements, and as an extra bonus, has a fantastic hotel that our guests could stay at for a reasonable rate. The LAAC staff is great, the food was delicious and the venue is beautiful. And they were able to make our signature cocktails to our specifications with no problems. We can't wait to see the photos!

We Loved our venue!! It has that old world feel to it. It made for a vintage and elegant vibe. Kelly, the event coordinator, was so accomidating and wonderful to work with. The food was amazing! Our guest were so impressed, from the cocktail hour to dinner to the dessert chocolate fountain. The Los Athletic Club gave us more bang for our buck, in comparrison to the venues in the area. This included all the alcohol, appetizers, dinner, tables, linens, chairs, chocolate fountain, our wedding cake, and even a bridal suite! We even took pictures on the rooftop at night and they turn out gorgeous! We couldn't have picked a better place to celebrate our wedding!

    Exceptional DTLA Venue

Los Angeles Athletic Club is a great wedding venue for any couple who envisions a vintage vibe in downtown. I'm so happy that I was able to host my wedding reception there since I wasn't able to have one when I originally married in 2020.Tip: you don't have to be a member in order to have a wedding there. I worked closely with the venue coordinator Christie who was such a sweetheart and flexible. For type A brides, it takes her a few days to respond back to emails but she does respond. Regarding the staff that day, everyone was professional and friendly. The main area is the ballroom, but you are not limited to just that space. They only do one wedding a day; so, my party felt like we had the whole place to ourselves. Our cocktail hour was on the rooftop. Then, our reception was in the main ballroom, with access to their Invention Bar. We ended the night with our afterparty in their speakeasy, the blue room. My guests still rave about the venue due to the decor and delicious food. You really can't go wrong since it is all inclusive: own parking garage & hotel.

    The Perfect Wedding

Wow! Just wow! This venue is amazing and makes planning a wedding a breeze. We were married here in May 2018 and if I could I would do it all over again just to relive how great our wedding was. The LA Athletic Club is a beautiful venue and the great service you receive from the staff is unparalleled. Roxy and her entire team were on point the entire night and really made the entire wedding experience flawless. We loved everything from our city view rooftop ceremony and cocktail hour to the absolutely delicious custom dinner menu they crafted for us! To this day we constantly receive feedback from our guests claiming it was the best wedding they’ve ever been to. Thank you Los Angeles Athletic Club for delivering the exact wedding we envisioned and making it a smooth and easy planning process.

    Dream Wedding

We had both our ceremony (indoors) and reception (ballroom) at the Club and the whole experience was incredible from start to finish. We had nearly 200 guests and we fit perfectly. Roxy, who is the head of catering, helps you with all the details every step of the way. She helped us curate our own menu and our food tasting was beyond incredible. The food the day of the wedding did not taste entirely the same, however we got rave reviews from our guests, so I'm not upset. The day of staff went above and beyond to ensure our day went smoothly. Dessert was not included in our price per person, but we were allowed to bring in our own (we did cake and donuts and had the Club provide gelato). The Club has a hotel associated with it, although they operate separately so we had to work with other staff to reserve rooms, but they were super accommodating and did not require us to pay for any rooms upfront as part of our block. We were given a free night the night of our wedding, which is where the groomsmen got ready day of. The ladies were given an extraordinary room for getting ready on a different floor. All vendors must be approved by the Club since it is a private club, but only because they have high expectations for their customers. We used a number of approved vendors from the Club's list and were very satisfied. The rooftop is a must for photos with the downtown skyline. We were too large to have our ceremony on the roof, but the pictures are exceptional. Another perk was getting a month of free social membership to the Club for the month of our wedding. We definitely didn't take advantage of it as much as we should, but it was still a nice touch. Also, bathrooms was a very important piece of my venue search. I wanted to make sure they were clean and big enough to accommodate our large wedding. The Club's bathroom is gorgeous and one of my favorite rooms in the entire building. I had our photographer take a photo of me and girls in it because I was THAT obsessed.

I wanted a unique wedding and LAAC was one of the choices that my wedding planner suggested. I just had my wedding there and I loved it. The food taste good and it is an gorgeous place to get married. The rooftop is awesome but I went with the ballroom since December can be a bit cold. Unless you want catering from other place, the price is very good for its quatlity. The only part that I had hard time with was to contact with them. The only person I can talk to about the event is not easily reachable. You may need to start coordinating with them a way early. Also, I thought parking for the guest was somewhat inconvenient. It looks like LAAC and the parking cashier don't talk to each other, and a lot of our guest (and even me and my husband) had trouble getting parking validation.

This venue is absolutely gorgeous. Being a photographer myself, I couldn't have asked for a more photogenic location. We also loved being able to have our ceremony and reception in the same location. Having the catering, cake and linens all lumped into the same package deal with the venue really upped the value of the event as well. In the end, it was really a perfect venue for us and our guests did nothing but rave about the Athletic Club and the service provided to us on the day of the event. The only frustration was booking our wedding during a time when the head of catering position was in flux which caused for some headaches on the communication front. That, and the fact that a wedding rehearsal was booked on the same night of our wedding and on the same floor. I actually had a number of people come up to me while I was in my wedding dress taking photos and asking where THEIR rehearsal dinner was. A minor annoyance in the end, but they lose some points for professionalism, especially since this detail was never communicated to me. In the end though it all worked out and I would never wish to have been married anywhere else.

I am so glad I chose this venue! It was so stunning and perfectly CLEAN on my wedding day. I had just attended another wedding where the venue was not taken care of. Everything was polished... the service was amazing. Roxy, Lupe, and Brenda the three key people that made my day perfect! Brenda- best bartender! My worry was always that there would be a long line, there wasn't! My guests were happy and I didn't have to worry about a thing. I appreciated all of the work and the attentiveness to every small detail.

I don't know if I would recommend the Athletic Club for a venue. The setting is great, the food is good, but the service sucks. Do not rely on Roxy the Catering Director at all. On the day of my wedding she could on be reached. Lupe the Catering Manager was great. Everything that I discuss was Roxy was never relayed to Lupe who will be the person that you will see. IF you choose this venue YOU MUST GET A WEDDING COORDINATOR. That is the only way your vision will get done.

I had my wedding at the Los Angeles Athletic Club, and since I signed have all but been chomping at the bit to write this review. The venue itself is stunning — really vintage and gorgeous details. It's also a cool place because you can have your guests stay at the hotel, making access and traveling very easy!

What I'd like to warn anyone against is working with this venue because of the venue coordinator: Roxy. To say that she made the entire process stressful would be an understatement. Roxy was very friendly and receptive and available before signing, but once we signed our contract she became impossible. I quickly came to learn that if you asked a question Roxy knew the answer to or required zero work, it was fine. But if you asked for anything beyond that, it wouldn't work out. For example, we had to refrigerate our dessert and she told me that was impossible. I called the chef, and he said no problem. I asked about adding more rooms to our room block, and she told me they were booked. I called the front desk, and they added them — no problem. It's her actual job to help with your wedding and all of the details that go into it, but she clearly doesn't want to be doing her job.

At one point she argued with me about where our tables should be laid out — saying she'd done it one way each time and that was the best way. Well, you know what? I wanted them a different way. Why was I being yelled at for wanting something different?

These are just a FEW examples. In general, I had to hound Roxy with emails and phone calls to get any response to basic questions. She was difficult, curt, and not at all flexible. I love how our wedding turned out, but if given the chance I would've gone with a different venue just to avoid working with Roxy.
