This salon went above and beyond what I wanted. They are truly great at what they do. My hair and makeup looked amazing on my wedding day. In addition to the compliments I received on my wedding day, I still receive compliments from people when they are looking at my pictures. The Look and Lifestyle Salon is a must if you want to look fabulous. -

They gave me the BEST LOOK!
About two months out from my wedding date I was struggling to find a makeup artist. One of my friends recommended the Look & Style Salon because that is where she gets her hair done. They were quick at responding and made sure it had a makeup artist for my day. They were a blessing to work with. We also had to change venues due to the hurricane Ian, and they were always responsive and made it work. Sarah was so fun and so sweet and she did exactly what I asked her to do. I felt beautiful and so glad that they were able to come through for me! I would highly recommend this group of ladies for your wedding day!!! -

These ladies are the best! I was welcomed with a smile and a mimosa. Any bride would want to feel special on their wedding day and that is exactly how I felt. My hair and makeup turned out beautifully and held throughout our ceremony which was a few hours after my appointment. Everyone was professional and accommodating! -

After having to reschedule my wedding due to COVID, I needed to find a new make-up and hairstylist because my original stylist was booked on our new date. I live out of state and was finding it difficult to book a new make-up and hairstylist that had my date available and that was responsive to emails. The Look and the Lifestyle Salon was not only responsive, Laura made communication and planning easy. From the moment I walked into the salon for my trial, I was treated like a friend and I immediately felt comfortable. On the day of my wedding, all of my bridesmaids, my mom and my mother-in-law had varied hairstyles that all looked beautiful and their make-up was FLAWLESS! My hair and make-up was so gorgeous. I am a fair-skinned redhead who had gotten a spray tan the day before so I was really self-conscious about being too "orange". Shelby made adjustments to my foundation to ease my anxiety and the color blended beautifully. It looked very natural. My hair was done in a side chignon and it stayed up all night, even after a long night of dancing. After looking at the pictures, I have never looked more beautiful. I would highly recommend. -

I am so thrilled to have made the choice to have Laura and Stephanie from The Look and Lifestyle meet me at my hotel room the morning of my recent wedding. They arrived on time and quickly went to work on my hair and makeup as planned. I thoroughly enjoyed my time with them, so very professional and fun. I felt like a princess on my wedding day and I owe it all to The Look and Lifestyle. I recommend them very highly and it was well worth the expense not to have to worry about a single thing on the morning of my wedding. Thank you both ever so much for making me look and feel more glamorous and elegant than I have ever been.

Such a great team
So impressed! As a long distance planning and covid bride, I had a ton of questions and they were always willing to answer and help in any way possible! They are reasonably priced and a great team to work with. Laura did a great job with my hair and Stephanie did a wonderful job with my makeup. I also had my nails done there and when I scuffed my pedicure they brought the polish with them on my wedding day to make sure that I looked my best from head to toe! They are flexible and fun to work with! They also took great care of the wedding party, and did light makeup on my bridesmaid who doesn't normally wear any. Definitely recommend! -

These ladies are great! Due to COVID-19, my number of girls for getting hair done was constantly changing due to travel scares and what not. The Look & Lifestyle was communicative through this and never had any problems keeping up with the edits. Matter of fact, on my wedding day, I had three people that changed their minds to get hair done. The ladies that came to our Airbnb had no problem at all squeezing them in and were happy to do so. As for everyone's hair, we all looked great! All of my girls were very pleased with their up-dos, and the ladies did touch ups to every girl before they left. I highly recommend them, and would choose them all over again! Also, their prices are affordable compared to many other over-priced places, and they get the job done to excellence. -

Leap Day 2020 was the wedding and being a 40-something, second time bride, I was interested in looking classically understated and glamorous to compliment my beaded cocktail style short wedding dress. Stephanie’s makeup had my skin looking ageless and glowing and Laura took one peek at a photo I had of my up-do thoughts from the internet and made it come to life. I felt nothing short of amazing on my special day and I’m so very glad these super talented ladies were an important part of it! -

Laura and Stephanie were such a pleasure to work with from beginning to end, and absolutely nailed my hair and makeup. As someone who’s never gotten a makeover, and is often unhappy with professional hairstyling I’ve had in the past, I was nervous about the results. I was also very picky about what I wanted. Laura and Stephanie both calmed my nerves when I went in for a trial, as the results were better than what I was picturing. I went into my wedding day knowing I’d look good, which meant SO much. They were also professional, responsive, creative, relaxing and kind. You will not regret booking them! -

These ladies are AMAZING!! I had an early morning wedding, and while not everyone is a morning person, these women came with such wonderful attitudes and were so excited to get us girls ready for the big day!! They work so well together with their timing of makeup and then into hair, it really was flawless. They gave wonderful suggestions of what would work best based on the weather that day (extra humidity, wind, etc.) and my hair and makeup was PERFECT for the whole day!
Only downside is that I live so far away so I can't use them more often!!

Laura, Stephanie, and the Look and Lifestyle Salon girls were absolutely amazing! They traveled with all their equipment and lighting to the venue where we got ready and set up in no time. They were time efficient and did a beautiful job doing my bridesmaids hair and makeup, in addition to my hair and makeup for my wedding day! They stayed until it was time for pictures, which allowed for any touch ups that the girls or I may have needed. I received so many compliments from our guests! I felt so beautiful! They were the perfect team for our most special day! -

Amazing Hair and Makeup!
Laura and Stephanie with the Look and Lifestyle did hair and makeup for myself, my maid of honor, and our officiant. They did AMAZING work and I was blown away at how beautiful I felt on my wedding day. Laura even took a few sprigs of extra floral we had for decoration and added it to my hair - something I didn’t know I needed but couldn’t live without. They were prompt and on time, and were extremely mindful of our schedule and timing. They also took into account everyone’s taste and style and provided exactly what each girl wanted. I highly recommend them for wedding day looks! -

Laura and Stephanie worked really great together creating different hairstyles for all five of my bridesmaids and my mom. They came to my hotel room which was really convenient and even helped us when or limo driver wasn't answering his phone.
I will recommend 100% their price is not ridiculously expensive compared to like some of the other vendors in Saint Augustine.

Summer Sent on 05/08/2018Laura and Stephanie were phenomenal! I am very particular with both my hair and makeup. I prefer for my own makeup to be used as my skin is very sensitive. Stephanie was very understanding and I looked flawless in all of my pictures. She even showed me a few tricks on how to make my eyes pop. Laura curled my hair and put it up to hide my ears as they are always a big insecurity for me. She even put it on my best photo side so I felt confident and beautiful in pictures. Thank you both so much!

My bridesmaids, MIL, mom, and I got our hair and makeup done. My makeup looked great and looked exactly like the makeup trial. Everybody's hair and makeup look beautiful. The negative was I feel like the one who did my hair did not put enough hairspray/bobby pins and during the ceremony my hair was coming down. Other than that, I had an overall good experience with The Look and Lifestyle salon. The makeup/hair artists were very friendly and accommodating with any changes. -

Perfect hair, ok make up
My daughter and I gave a brief explanation of the styles we wanted and our was perfect. I asked for a natural look for my make up because I rarely wear it. I was very disappointed in the color of my foundation. I have rosy skin and my foundation was an unflattering matte dried mud look. It was not blended into my neck at all. -

Candace Sent on 09/28/2021Never Give your Bride Anxiety Two Hours Before Her Wedding!
I booked the Look and Lifestyle early on in my wedding planning process for my 9/25/21 wedding in Fruit Cove, FL. Laura was very responsive via text and email in the very beginning, which I appreciated. She even texted me photos of work she has done.
The day before my wedding, Laura texted me and said "we are here". I immediately freaked out and texted her back and told her my wedding was TOMORROW, not today. I did not receive a response for hours even though I kept calling, texting, emailing and even calling the salon. No one responded. I even had co-workers and my coordinator try to reach her. She finally responded hours later that she got me mixed up with a bride she had that day. That was anxiety attack number one.
The next morning, Laura and I believe it was her daughter, arrived bright and early to the venue. I don't think they even really introduced themselves formally and didn't ask if I was the bride. I didn't feel completely at home and comfortable with them.
They did do a beautiful job on everyone's hair and makeup, but I found it a bit odd that they applied lipstick several hours before the ceremony actually started. I'm pretty sure the lipstick wore off before we got started with the wedding, and they did not leave any little samples or anything for the girls to reapply.
When it came to my makeup, the girl who was doing my makeup was great. The only thing I was not happy about is that it didn't look really close to what my inspiration photo looked like. I wanted more pink shimmer on my eyes and I got a sort of dull shimmer. I should have said something but I was just over everything at this point. I brought my own lipstick that I wanted to use specifically for my wedding day and the girl did not even offer to apply it for me so that it looked nice. The eyelashes on one of the girls didn't stick after the ceremony, so she ripped them off.
I believe it was Laura who did my hair and I brought clip in extensions to put in. My stylist back home in Orlando cut and colored the extensions, put them in so we could take a pic to show the girl doing my hair on my wedding day how they should look. Laura got frustrated and told me they didn't fit my head and she couldn't get them to work how she wanted. She basically told me that my stylist back home did not know what she was doing with the extensions....no Laura, YOU did not know what you were doing with the extensions. This was a couple hours before I had to walk down the aisle. Anxiety attack number 2 started and I just tensed up the rest of the time she was doing my hair and trying not to cry.
We had to apply more hairspray to everyone's hair before the ceremony started...which I guess was fine.
Overall, I was not super impressed with their services and felt they could have been more warm and welcoming.

Bridal trial took 3 hours, a quarter of the time was waiting while owner or other staff jump to another person to finish them up. I get that it is after COVID and staffing is probably limited but either schedule clients accordingly so that it doesn’t seem like your trying to divide your attention to 2 different clients or have another staff available to do the service. The make up trial was the most upsetting, I was charged $75 for makeup that didn’t even last for two hours, products that were being used were drugstore products such as Maybelline Fit Me foundation and elf eyeliner. The eyelash application was a bit messy leaving noticeable glue residue on the top of the lash. The artist did not have sponges available so instead used her fingers and make up brushes that did not look too clean. It was unsanitary, point is I paid for professional makeup but received less than that, I could of had my sister do my make up and the results would have been better. -
