Our wedding day at The Lodge could not have gone any better! Amy is a total rockstar and made sure everything was exactly how we wanted it. She answered all of my questions and walked me through the details since I was an out of state bride. I have been an event planner for 10 years and worked with tons of vendors, so when I say Amy is awesome— she really is! We had our ceremony outside and reception in the Regatta room. The food was outstanding!! And the views… you can’t beat them!! Every staff member was nice and professional, and all of my guests left in awe of The Lodge! The perfect day :)

As a wedding planner, the Lodge at Whitefish Lake was great to work with! I worked primarily with Marjorie, and she was truly a delight! She was extremely responsive with all communication, and took care of anything we needed over the wedding weekend. You can tell she really loves what she does, and she is so talented at it! The banquet staff was very accommodating as well. I would work with this team again in a heartbeat!

Before I got engaged, I knew that I wanted to get married at The Lodge at Whitefish Lake. What I didn't know was that it was going to be the most simple process with a team of AMAZING coordinators. I reserved my date a year and a half out, and as a very excited newly engaged fiancé, I had a million and a half questions for the team. Fast forward a year later and emailing back and forth, we went for our food tasting and the food exceeded all of our expectations.

We dropped welcome bags at the concierge the day before our guests arrived, and they made sure that each guest received upon arrival. Allison and her team made sure that we communicated the week of the wedding, and I never felt nervous or had any doubt that they weren't going to execute my vision perfectly. Everything was perfect! I would not have changed a thing if I could do it again and I am so grateful for the team at the lodge who made everything go off without a hitch. Couldn't be happier that we celebrated our special day here and forever grateful to the hard working team at the lodge!!

Our coordinator Allison was amazing. Any questions I had for her she knew exactly the answer, and she was flawless in getting our rehearsal and day of event together. Our venue was absolutely beautiful and I had no doubts about how well it would be put together. Highly, highly recommend the Lodge.

The Lodge at Whitefish Lake made the wedding of our dreams come true! My husband's family has always loved the Lodge for their vacations and when we decided to get married in Whitefish, it was truly the only place for us. I cannot thank Kim & Allison enough! They were so caring and informative throughout our whole planning process. All of our guests were technically out of towners and I know that they had an incredible experience at our wedding because of the Lodge's hospitality and elegance. The food was incredible, bartenders made wonderful cocktails and the grounds for our wedding were just gorgeous! If I had to do our wedding all over again, I would choose the Lodge at Whitefish Lake time and time again! You will not regret your experience!

We would recommend the setting, the service, and the people at the Lodge at Whitefish Lake a million times over! Booking the wedding was simple and speedy, and they were prompt in answering all questions. They even sent photos of the venue and rooms along the way - thank you Kim! The day of our wedding could not have run more smoothly and we are forever grateful for Emily! She made sure our guests were taken care of while we were taking photos before the wedding - directed them to the inside bar of course - and she even helped lift me into the boat for our champagne cruise! Every minute and every detail was covered! All we needed to do was enjoy our selves. Our guests were blown away by the gorgeous setting, and the backdrop with the lake could not have been more perfect. Thank you for making our day so special and we will be back to visit!!

We had a destination wedding this August at the Lodge and couldn’t have been happier with our experience! Kim was so helpful and responsive and made planning from afar so easy. All of the staff the day of was amazing, especially Emily who went above and beyond to make our day run as smoothly as possible! It is one of our favourite hotels and all our guests loved it as well. From the accomodation, amenities, venue setting, food, and friendly people, the Lodge was the perfect place to have a wedding!

Had a great team at the Lodge to help me plan my wedding from a distance. The food was spectacular! Guests had an amazing time! When our officiant was a no-show, they helped find us someone to perform the ceremony. As stressful as it sounds, Tracy made it the least stressful part of the day.

The setting was perfect and the service was outstanding. The answer to every request was " Of course we can do that, I'll take care of it right away." The food was excellent and all the guests had great comments. Since I was planning our rehearsal dinner for 100 from many miles away, Kim was an angel and made the evening memorable for us all.

Kim and her colleagues at the Lodge at Whitefish Lake were absolutely wonderful to work with....from the initial planning stages through the entire event! The entire experience was awesome!

The event team at the Lodge at Whitefish Lake is top notch. They help you think through all the details of the wedding day and ensure that the execution of the wedding is as seamless as possible. They were incredibly accommodating of last-minute requests when we realized we missed a detail. I HIGHLY recommend having your wedding here - we couldn't be happier with how our day turned out.

My daughter was married on August 5 with an outdoor ceremony and reception. For her, the venue was love at first sight, and for perfectly obvious reasons. The setting and the resort are spectacular.
Because of that, they do a lot of weddings. Believe me, it shows. I won't tell you not to stress, because you will, but take some solace in this. These people know what they're doing. And come wedding day, you will have Emily. That woman is an absolute marvel. Lots of fun, totally in control, and somehow everywhere at once. I thought our wedding was the best I have ever seen, and to no small degree, she is the reason.
Do yourself a favor. Book this venue. It's worth every penny.

You will not be disappointed by ANYTHING at the Lodge. The rooms, restaurant, spa and event staff were incredible. We would gladly get married here a hundred more times and can't wait to come back for another visit. They really made our wedding absolutely perfect!

This venue was simply amazing! We were treated like royalty and could not be happier with the way our wedding weekend turned out! Everyone, including the doormen, were so accommodating! I cannot thank Kim and Emily enough for all of their hard work for our wedding. And the room, simply beautiful!! I HIGHLY recommend them!!

The venue is absolutely breath-taking. Guests found it really fun to take a chairlift to a wedding ceremony which made it unique and fun. Because it is such a beautiful spot, pictures were fantastic. Sarah, the wedding coordinator is extremely easy to work with and she made our wedding experience much less stressful than I think a lot of wedding experiences are. The only thing that would have been more convenient would have been having all of the vendors in one spot (cake, party lights, etc.).

I cannot even begin to say how amazing this venue was. We looked quite a bit before choosing it, and we found that most venues were approximately the same price, but offered far less in terms of how beautiful and how accommodating this place was. The catering is a little pricey, but oh my goodness is so delicious. Emily and Kim were the coordinators who worked with me, and I do not know how I would've gotten through the day without them. They were just absolutely the epitome of professionalism, graciousness, and made sure our day went without a hitch. They were always in control of the situation, and they worked with me a lot before the day to make sure we had exactly what we wanted. The price I listed included catering.

After our wedding we have a handful of guests tell us that our wedding at the Lodge was the best wedding they have ever been to, and a few said it was the best event they have ever been to. So for future couples, if you want a wow factor with serenity and beauty, the Lodge is it.

We only used the lodge for out reception as we got married out by Glacier National Park. We had a destination wedding so there was only a small number in attendance. The staff at the lodge were extremely helpful and friendly and were very accommodating for us due to us having small numbers. They food was delicious and the rooms were big and comfortable. Many of our guests also stayed at the hotel and everyone had positive comments to say about the Lodge. We would absolutely stay there again.

From the very beginning The Lodge staff was very helpful. They did switch wedding organizers a few times before we finally got Kim, but they were all very responsive to my emails and any questions I had. The wedding weekend couldn't have gone better, when we arrived we met with multiple staff members that would be helping out the day of and they put my mind at ease as they seemed to be very accommodating. The day of was very organized and I didn't have to worry about a thing, they handled everything. The staff was attentive to our needs and even the guests said the staff was great.

This venue was outstanding in everyway! Would not change anything.

Everyone from the time we checked in to the time we checked out was amazing! Kim, our event coordinator answered all our questions in a timely manner and help set up our wedding day the way we wanted. The wedding day could not have been more perfect especially due to the help of Tim and Emily Who were by far the most helpful that day. They went above and beyond to be there every step of the way for myself the groom the wedding party and the guests. The lodge also allowed a special early check-in for myself and the groom the day before the wedding so we could ensure everything was set up properly and so we did not have to rush the day of .

I simply can't say enough about how wonderful it was to work with the staff at The Lodge. Everyone, from the doormen and valets, to the front desk ladies, to Kim and Edna the wedding planners to Tim and Emily the day of coordinators, was incredibly helpful, professional, and truly there to make our dream weekend a reality. The venue itself is spectacular with amazing views (and sunsets!) over Whitefish Lake. The food was delicious, and the service was spot on. I just wish we could do it all again!

This venue was absolutely beautiful and because our wedding was on a Sunday and in the off season the price was extremely affordable for a small budget wedding! They were very flexible with trading things in our wedding package and we're extremely helpful in making the day run perfectly smooth! Tim and Emmie are absolutely amazing at what they do and our wedding went off without a hitch due to their careful planning. The room and midnight snack provided in our package was more than we had imagined. Our wedding was perfect thanks to the (extremely kind) team at Whitefish Lodge and their planning skills!

I could not give The Lodge at Whitefish a higher recommendation. Their expertise ensured that everything went flawlessly and my wedding was perfect. Edna White diligently worked with me to stay in budget (hint: consider a Sunday wedding!), Megan Courtright was on top of all the details and Tim Lanaghan was AMAZING the day of the wedding. Since I was doing all planning from out of state, I actually emailed The Lodge a few months before the wedding to ask if there was anything I needed to do because I felt like I hadn’t done very much! Nope, they had everything under control. On the day of the wedding, Tim’s presence truly allowed us to relax and enjoy the day. He was flexible, accommodating and knowledgeable. Our guests were wowed by the setting and the quality of the food. The Lodge even made everything (except the New York Strip) vegan for me! From start to finish, the entire process was a pleasure!

The Lodge was absolutely wonderful! The staff was exceptional and did everything they could to accommodate our needs. I couldn't have picked a better place to get married! Emily and Kim were my heroes, who helped pull everything off and put up with all of my questions.

My husband was a little cautious when I originally picked the venue, but when we went out for menu planning and to visit with other vendors, he was very impressed and told me I nailed it on the location. During the wedding itself, when the guests arrived, everyone figured it out pretty quickly why I picked the location. I heard nothing but rave reviews from my guests about The Lodge. Everyone really enjoyed themselves and the Whitefish area.

I would highly recommend this venue for any wedding, but especially as a destination wedding venue!

The overall vibe and quality of The Lodge was fantastic; it was everything we were hoping for. We were able to hold our wedding in front of some amazing scenery, our guests enjoyed the luxurious comforts at The Lodge, and the staff helped us customize the whole day to fit our needs. The on-site wedding coordinators are top-notch. I'm convinced they could put on a stellar wedding with their eyes closed. We planned this wedding from afar, and sometimes it seemed difficult to get a timely response from the events staff--especially in the week or two leading up to the wedding. But once we arrived at The Lodge, we realized it was because they had an event to coordinate every single day. At that point, it was hard to blame them for less-than-speedy email responses. Plus, by the time we did our final walk-through with the coordinators, we knew they'd be able to handle everything without a problem. We especially appreciated everything Emily and Kim did to help us with the big day!

My family and I have a tradition of spending many special times at the Lodge. We celebrated my parents 50th here just a few years ago, so deciding to have our wedding reception here was a no brainer. Everyone was so lovely to work with. Between the Whitefish Lake Lodge and Goldfinch Events, every detail was handled beautifully. The reception buffet and dessert table was truly incredible. At night cap, we received the warmest of entries to our suite at the Lodge...I don't want to spoil this for anyone by saying too much! The next day we enjoyed the spa...and we were in total heaven! Our guests enjoyed their stay as well, with nothing but rave reviews for the lodging, restaurant, bar, and of course..breathtaking views.

I can't vouch for the ballroom, but the outside pavilion at the Lodge is an amazing wedding location! The whole process, from touring the venue, booking, planning, and the actual weekend; everything was perfect. I definitely recommend you having your wedding here!

The only reason I'm not giving a full five stars is because of the check-in process at the hotel. They did apologize and offer partial refunds for not having rooms for my family available, but it created quite the headache on the wedding day.

The event itself and everyone who helped coordinate were perfect.

I can't say enough about how amazing the lodge is. We bought a wedding package during the off season time. It was less expensive than on season. We did have to provide our own DJ, hair and makeup person, officiate, photographer/ videographer and flower lady. The lodge gave me ideas, options, and suggestions to help me choose people to work with. The lodge has a coordinator that helps prior to the wedding and they have a day of coordinator; that helped a lot and kept every thing on time. They have a beautiful room for the girls to get ready in. They also have a steamer and can steam your dress. To use the outside tent it was $3,500 and then we had a food and beverage min to hit. We ended up with 120 guests. With the package we also got a few perks such as $200 at the spa, 45 min boat ride, Champaign toast, midnight snack for us, cake cutting, I think the day of guy was part of the package. They will work with you and your budget. I loved my experience with them and really don't think there is a nicer more perfect place for a wedding on the lake in the flathead valley or whitefish! The wedding was perfect because of the scenery but also because of all the people at the lodge, and the lake was amazing!

We had a wonderful experience with all the staff at Whitefish Lodge. Everyone was so accommodating and willing to help us in any way. Our guests had nothing but nice things to say about the staff, the rooms, the entire property during their stay. The only thing we heard from our guest staying (which was about 90%) of our guests list, said when booking the reservations under our block, there was confusion, some were quoted wrong rates, couldn't find the reservation, etc. I did mention this to Kim Saverud. Not complaining but thought it might help for future room block reservations. We would definitely recommend this wedding venue.

The Lodge at Whitefish Lake is a beautiful setting for a wedding. My friends and family had a wonderful time at my lakeside ceremony and ballroom reception. The staff was professional and courteous. Great food. The two-story Loft Suite is a great room. Whitefish is a charming little town, year round! Our whole wedding week was magical!

We decided to hold our wedding at the Lodge simply because we had been there before, and was familiar with the area. The staff were AMAZING. The day of the wedding, Emily checked in with me, getting me whatever I needed from lunch, to checking on the cake vendor so I didn't have to leave my room where my husband might see me!

They even went above and beyond when it came time for the reception. My grandma is on a strict gluten free diet - which I had thought of and ordered her a separate dinner. However, when it came time to eat wedding cake, I hadn't thought of dessert for my grandma! Emily ( who had been SO GREAT all day!) ran up to the kitchen and brought my grandma her own gluten-free dessert. Everyone in the family was very impressed with their service and accommodation.

My husband and I returned to the Lodge for business meetings a few months after our wedding, and one night we found a bottle of champagne and a card from Kim - such a nice touch for them to remember us! .

Overall,

The entire process of planning the wedding was very well organized, communicated and executed. Kim did a very good job with all the details up to the big day. Then Emily (the secret weapon) came in on the final day and made sure everything (every little detail) came together for a perfect event. While it’s not inexpensive by any means, you do get great service in a beautiful venue. We would highly recommend the Lodge, Kim and Emily to anyone.

Most everything was fantastic! Was an Awesome venue, Most every single person commented on how nice everything was. The 30 min boat ride was seriously under 6 mins for the gals... then a turn around, and another four min boat ride with the guys. people seriously were laughing how short it was, would have been nice to at least get a few yards from the dock.. but its all good. I asked and made sure there would be no hidden fees or weird add on costs, but got drilled like 40 bucks for a pot of coffee in the state room, The money it cost to lay down the pre fab stage seemed ridiculous. All being said the lodge took very good care of us, we received many compliments on the entire wedding. We were not disappointed with our choice.

Hard to get a hold of, several guests complaining about getting anyone on the phone to make a reservation under the reserved group. Disappointed in the hairdressers at the lodge. The AC had issues in the banquet room, as it was the first time the weather was hot and AC wasn't working, I'm sure that fixed by now. But it was beautiful outside so many people were enjoying visiting outside. Beautiful location though, a great time, the guests really enjoyed themselves and felt like they had a vacation. Food was fabulous. Kim and Emily were absolutely amazing coordinating and planning, making the day of go by smoothly. They were very helpful and easy to talk to. Overall we had a beautiful wedding.

We are a couple from Florida so we were looking for a place for lodging, fun, and to host the wedding and The Lodge did all of that perfectly for us!

Kim (Wedding Coordinator) was extremely helpful and very professional. She was always pleasant and easy to work with. She was on top of the details and helpful.

Edna, sales coordinator, was quite awkward and very unhelpful the first time we met here. Fortunately, Kim took over and was a delight to work with.

The Lodge overall was quite good. Our room was stunning and we felt like we were treated very well. The hotel staff go above and beyond and we couldn't have asked for a better location or more charming hotel.

Things to improve:
Ensure you provide a detailed schedule so everyone is on the same page
The Lodge dining room service was very poor. Even with a reservation, the staff were disorganized and took far too long to seat people and serve meals. They also missed delivering brunch for the bride and bridesmaids which was a surprise gift that was set up the day before from one of the guests.

The shuttle was not overly accommodating and was late. He was not on time, despite being given specific pick-up and drop off times. We even paid extra, despite most of our guests staying at the Lodge. Overall, the shuttle service was very unreliable.

The food for our wedding dinner was very good and we were happy with the price.

The champagne reception and boat ride for the wedding party was terrific. No complaints. Don't pass up a ride on the boat!

The wedding tent is beautiful and the Lodge was accommodating with respect to decorations.

Overall, we were very happy with the day and we would definitely recommend a wedding at this venue.

This is an amazingly beautiful venue. We had our ceremony lakeside and our reception in the lakeside pavilion which is stunningly draped. Our main contact, Kim, was fantastic. She was quick to respond and helped us with all of our questions, always friendly and was great to coordinate with our vendors for setting up. The day of coordinator, which is supplied by the venue, seemed a bit stressed and was short with some of the bridal party during the day but everything ran smoothly and was mostly on time.
The food was great and we had nothing but positive comments from our guests. The veggie meal came out different than what we had tasted earlier so the venue graciously comped us for the vegetarian dishes ordered (the one we tasted was unbelievable and what I had ordered and we had talked it up to our guests prior to the wedding so it was a disappointment that we didn't get the same thing). The service was on time and well done. We had served wine which required more attention from the servers and they did a great job. One oversight was that our cake had 2 flavours but the servers were unaware of this so our guests did not have a choice of which cake flavour to have.
The Stateroom was the perfect place for the bridesmaids to get ready in and was available to us throughout the day to store things in. The bridal suite we were given for 2 nights had a stunning lake view and allowed for some extra bridesmaids time with staying in the room the night before the wedding.
There were a few small items that ended up being extra charges, such as the podium for the speeches, which when you are paying for a substantial wedding package would be nicer to be all inclusive rather than tacked onto the final bill.

To possibly have more communication beforehand with the person that is actually going to be the onsight wedding planner. Get the wedding planner to stay at the event the whole night. Make sure the wedding planner is communicating and is friendly with other attendees and photographers. Make sure the wedding planner has back up plans for the extra cake as well as knows and remembers to put favors out at the end of the night for the guests.

We had a very disappointing experience at the Lodge for our wedding. Despite the beautiful setting, we faced many issues that impacted our day. To start with, we had several missing packages that we had sent to the venue and were reported as delivered but never found. This forced us to scramble and replace items on the morning of our wedding. Lack of communication from the vendor's coordinator led us to have last minute changes to our seating chart, and we were left rushing to order a new one. Our florist's chandelier florals were delivered and never set up by the venue. The power went out due to a storm that was passing by and the venue had no backup plan, no generator. If it weren't for our band having brought a second generator I am unsure of what the rest of our wedding day would've looked like. Due to loss of power and the venue having no way to keep their cooler cold, our ice cream dessert station was completely melted and no one was able to enjoy it. The lodge wedding coordinator had made no plan for us to sign our marriage license during our wedding day as she had requested a timeline from our photographer and never compiled a timeline of her own. In the end, the marriage license ended up getting lost in the Stateroom of the lodge and we were forced to extend our stay in Montana to obtain a new marriage license. Perhaps this day would've gone smoother if we had hired an outside wedding coordinator, or maybe if the lodge had an actual backup plan in place in case of extreme weather.

The venue is beautiful, it's been my childhood dream, the food was fantastic, food and beverage lady was wonderful. Our wedding coordinator never responded to emails or would be a week late, they contradicted costs, charged our card without returning a final invoice, then when we questioned the costs they provided documents that were not possible my dad's signature on a paper that they wrote in 8pm after the fact (he was doing our father daughter dance at that time) said he signed at 9:30pm, I asked questions and relayed the information they didn't responded or communicate but they didn't have to because they had already charged our card and moved on, really disappointing from such a beautiful place. Also, be ready for alot of additional costs the basic packages don't include much and everything is a couple hundred dollar add. Maybe it would be different if you use a coordinator, I coordinated my own wedding and it was extremely stressful not receiving responses from the lodges coordinator.

My wife and I wanted to take the time to share with you our experience in dealing with the Lodge at Whitefish Lake. We waited almost a month since our ceremony date, of 1/7/2018, in order to write this with a level head. Following is the short version and then the long version for those who want details.

Short - The Lodge was a beautiful location and I have always like the venue. Still do, except for my dealings with the wedding department. If your and your fiance are considering this place, I HIGHLY encourage you to review your contract hundreds of times and be ready for less than satisfactory service and any of the “accommodating” to come at a cost . Brian is the ONLY one who I felt cared and even though he saved my wedding, I wish I would have chose somewhere else to get married. If you’re trying to do you’re wedding for a budget, they will promise you the world but all I ever got was tears. You'll save money and heartache by choosing somewhere else.
