Amazing service

We hired The Lighting Guy for our wedding 10.8.21.

Absolutely AMAZING service!! We had our wedding in my Grandmas backyard and they made our reception a fairy tale with lighting!! They had so many recommendations on how to bring the night to life and they did not disappoint! They are worth every penny you spend and we are so happy we did not cut cost when it came to lighting. Not only are they amazing at there job, but they are great people to work with! We cannot thank you enough for bringing our vision to life and making our night truly magical!

Quality service you can count on

Kimberly was great to work with. She made sure to scope out the venue before giving us a quote, and was both respectful of our decor budget and completely transformed the venue to fulfill our vision! Kimberly truly went above and beyond to deliver on our wedding day. She is responsive, flexible, and her final product is stunning. I can't recommend her more highly!

Fairytale Wedding

I am so happy with my choice in lighting vendor for my wedding! Kim has the best customer service and professionalism. She truly made my day a fairytale come true. The guests were obsessed with the ambiance, thank you so much for the most beautiful day!!! :)

Kimberly was so easy to work with, and honest about what we truly needed, as opposed to trying to charge as much as possible like some of the other places we spoke with. The lighting was absolutely perfect!! The glow in the room was elegant, and ideal for the ambiance we wanted, and for our photos. I would highly recommend The Lighting Guy and Kimberly!

The lighting guy was great. They were able to do something that other companies told me couldn't be done. They also were able to give us our lighting at an amazing price compared to what other companies were going to charge for a much worse set up. Not a bad thing to say here. Kimberly was always very helpful when talking on the phone and coming up with the design. Great vendor!

We decided to use The Lighting Guy last minute for our wedding at BayPointe. We are so happy we did!!! Kimberly helped us and made sure everything was just what we wanted. I HIGHLY recommend getting the "pin" or spotlighting on the tables. We had beautiful flower centerpieces, and the spotlighting on the tables REALLY showed them off! I was worried it would be too bright, but it wasn't and made everything look romantic and sweet. Also, the lighting made our pictures come out beautifully!
I would definitely use TLG again in the future - and highly recommend them to someone needing uplighting & room lighting - plus they have EVERY color imaginable!

The lighting inside our ballroom made a huge difference. The Lighting Guy did an incredible job and our wedding looked beautiful!

We had full room up lighting at our wedding 2 weeks ago and it was beautiful. I am really glad I spent the extra money for it. It made for a great atmosphere and the Mayan Sun (Orange color) really went well with the room.

At the last minute, we wanted additional room lighting for our reception. Kim urged us to use pin-lighting as well. Very responsive and helpful on short notice. Finished product was great. We received so many compliments during our reception. Would highly recommend.

Was told by event specialist, Abbe Adair,at Apple Mountain Resort in Freeland, MI that the banquet room used for our daughter's wedding had never looked as beautiful as it did that day (and she had been working there for 9 years). Guests also raved about the lighting done by the Lighting Guy. We are invited to another wedding there in August 2014 and they too are going to use the Lighting Guy. When you walked into the banquet room, it actually looked magical. They made what would have been a beautiful wedding reception into a stunning reception. Highly, highly recommended!!!

Kimberly was wonderful to work with! She was able to meet my mother at the venue to discuss what I wanted (I was unable to attend), and it turned out beautifully! The pricing was very reasonable comparatively, and they were able to get the job done the day before...one less thing to worry about on the big day! Would definitely use again in the future for events :)

The whole wedding day was beautiful. And the Lighting Guy made the night beautiful. The wedding was outdoors and the lighting they did on the trees was magical. They are the best!

It was a great experience. The Lighting guy changed the hall from office fluorescent lighting to mood lighting. Did a great job and stayed throughout the entire wedding and disassembled when the hall closed.

I wish we could give 'The Lighting Guy' a 10-star rating in every category. Kimberly and her staff are very professional and streamlined the entire process. The ballroom at the Dearborn Inn looked just amazing . . . we received so many compliments about the lighting . . . even from the staff at the Dearborn Inn. I would highly recommend 'The Lighting Guy' to anyone!

Nothing can make quite a statement to your guests as great lighting. The Lighting Guy took our breath away when we walked into our venue and saw the magic that was created. A year later and our guests are still talking about the amazing night. Do yourself a favor and call TLG for your next event. We're already talking about an anniversary party!

Our venue looked beautiful with the lighting they created....our colors were eggplant and hot pink...they created soft pink uplighting throughout the venue that gave a very soft and romantic look and feel...Would absolutely use this vendor in the future.

The lighting and draping for our ceremony and reception were absolutely stunning. Kimberly was extremely helpful during the planning process - she was familiar with our venue and knew exactly what would and would not work in our event space. That knowledge was clearly evident on the day of our wedding. Our guests were blown away at how amazing everything looked, and The Lighting Guy definitely played a major role in creating that feeling.

The Lighting Guy was a huge part in making our wedding reception truly magical! When you walked into the room it had a feel of a Hollywood movie scene. Our guests did not want the night to come to an end and were taking pictures of the decor the whole evening. Everything was glowing and all the special lighting lit up the room and enhanced everything from the flowers to the wedding cake. Never knew having custom lighting would transform a room like it did and we are so glad we invested the money!

This company was great to work with. They were extremely dependable and easy to work with. They really listen to and are upfront with you regarding what they can do in each venue. I didn't have any surprises on the wedding day. The blue lighting was a brighter blue than I imagined. After speaking with the vendor, she explained that she tried different blues and this one worked the best since we were uplighting brick. I was still very pleased with the overall affect. The pink lighting in the dance floor area was not over powering and gave a beautiful hue to the dance floor. I highly recommend this company for your lighting needs.

The lighting at my Hallowedding really helped set the mood. What a difference it made. There were so many choices to choose from; I wish I could have afforded more.

The company was easy to work with, on time & had no problems. I wish all wedding vendors were this easy.

Good experience

They delivered what we asked under what other competitors were quoting us. We were able to do it all over phone and email which was very convenient to us. They came highly recommended by our venue Rattlesnake Club, so we wanted to make sure and hire someone who knew the space well, and they definitely did. Would recommend!

The lighting guy provided a very high quality service and was very professional. They seem to have a monopoly on premium lighting in the Detro-Metro area and are able to charge a very high price for their services.

Our Wedding was at the Masonic Temple in Detroit, MI. We chose the Light Guy mainly because they had history of doing events at our venue. It was one of the best decision we had made for our venue! The overall atmosphere was incredible and it made the room look more beautiful then we ever pictured!
