Perfect beach wedding capturing Cape Cod's charm
We just had the most magical wedding at the Lighthouse Inn in West Dennis this September. Kelly, Daniel, and the staff were all fantastic! Our guests loved that the venue felt like authentic, traditional Cape Cod with great food and generous drinks, and we loved being able to get married right in the sand by the ocean. The team was extremely flexible in terms of menu (we had a lot of vegetarian guests), décor, and timeline, and definitely made sure we were fed on the day! We stayed in one of the one-bedroom cottages (plenty of room for me and my three bridesmaids to get ready!) and loved that many of our guests could also stay onsite if they wished to.The Lighthouse Inn's reply:

The Lighthouse Inn was the perfect venue to bring our vision of a classic Cape Cod wedding to life. The charm, the views, and the overall atmosphere were exactly what we had imagined. The coordinator, Carri, was amazing to work with - organized, responsive, and helpful every step of the way. The staff was incredibly professional and attentive, and everything was set up exactly how we described. Our guests kept talking about the delicious food and how great the service was throughout the entire event. Compared to other popular Cape venues, The Lighthouse Inn was also a bit more reasonable, without sacrificing anything in quality or experience. We recommend it to any couple dreaming of the perfect Cape Cod wedding! -

Beautiful day at LHI
We had a beautiful wedding at the Lighthouse Inn on 10/13/2024 at 1130am. We and some of our guests (40 out of out 130 guests) stayed on site and had a blast. The cottages were the typical quaint and rustic Cape vibe that we love. Plenty of space in our 1 bedroom cottage and the grounds were beautiful to hang out at throughout the weekend. Carri was our coordinator and throughout the entire process she answered every email and had multiple calls with me to make sure everything was set. She also seemed to work great with our wedding planner. She managed our rehearsal and was there the day of to coordinate. The wedding ceremony itself was amazing and right on the beach, you really could not ask for a better set up. Going into our cocktail hour we were greeted by staff (special shout out to Daniel!) who made sure we got our appetizers, drinks, and a moment alone together before the party started! Main reception room was perfect and looked just as I had pictured it. We had decor and flowers, but it really is a space that has charm and speaks for itself and you cannot beat the view! Food was delicious and our specialty drinks were great. Had a great party and so many compliments on the venue. We have been going to the Cape my entire life and somehow have never stumbled across the LHI until wedding planning. I'm so glad that we picked this spot and it will now be a wonderful memory to look back on. I am looking forward to future visits to the LHI and am so grateful!! -

From the very first visit to the Lighthouse Inn, we knew we wanted to get married there. It is the perfect quintessential Cape Cod hotel and venue. The staff and wedding coordinator Carri were helpful and responsive from the very first meeting. The ability to have all of our guests stay within walking distance from the wedding and reception was amazing. We cannot say enough good things about the food, it was absolutely delicious and every guest was raving. There were a few very minor things that did not go as expected, but the staff quickly resolved the issues to allow us to just enjoy the night.
Shout out to Daniel who made sure that we (the bride and groom) had a drink and food at all times, he was so super sweet, kind and helpful!
10/10 would recommend the Lighthouse Inn for your wedding. Our family will be making it a yearly tradition to return and enjoy a weekend from now on! -

Thanks for a WONDERFUL wedding weekend experience !!
We chose The Lighthouse Inn for my daughter's wedding, booking a dozen rooms for Friday & Saturday nights, and planning our Saturday afternoon ceremony and reception. Fortunately, we were lucky enough to have one of the few rain-free weekends of the summer of 2023, so our ceremony was outside, and guests could enjoy all of the indoor and outdoor amenities of this lovely venue. The beach setting provided a relaxing and fun atmosphere, and the scenery and views were spectacular.
The facilities offered something for everyone, and everything was clean and very well-maintained. The staff could not have been any more professional, courteous, and responsive to our needs. Our venue coordinator, Carri Hicks, was so helpful, informative, patient, and fun from our first meeting a year ago to our last goodbye hug at the end of the weekend. The reservation and concierge staff, William, Tiana, and Patrick, always aimed to please as they responded to numerous changes to bookings in the weeks before the wedding, and our endless questions during the wedding weekend. The food at the wedding, in the lower level cafe, and at the breakfast buffet was great, and the kitchen staff and servers were so nice, attentive, and professional.
Everyone who attended -- our family and friends from near and far -- were all pleased with every aspect of our weekend at The Lighthouse Inn. Thank you for such a wonderful wedding weekend experience !!! -

The Lighthouse Inn is a venue you won't want to skip. We recently got married at the LHI on 6/10 and it truly encaptures old cape cod - and what the Cape is all about! As a Dennis local, we wanted somewhere where family and friends could gather, and that people could enjoy whether from near of far. From the beach to the pool, tennis (made into pickleball) courts, mini golf and cornhole - there was something for everyone to do!
From the staff, to cottages, service and everything inbetween the LHI did not disappoint. Carri, the Event Manager, was top notch. She took care of every detail, from soup to dessert, ceremony and beyond. Carri plans events with such ease, and a calm demeanor - there truly is nothing to stress over - and nothing she won't work her magic to try to accommodate and bring your vision to life.

We were married here Memorial Day weekend and stayed in one of the cottages. Carri Hicks was amazing to work with! She was so helpful, fun and easy to work with. Everything was perfect from the moment we arrived. The staff was friendly and so helpful and accommodating. The location is gorgeous and family friendly. We can’t wait to go back! Lighthouse Inn Wedding 9/25
We got married at The Lighthouse Inn on September 25th. If you're looking for something with old Cape Cod style beachy charm, this place is 100% it. The view cannot be beat, and the pricing was some of the most reasonable we found when searching for our wedding venue. We had our ceremony performed next to the beach and our reception inside and everything could not have been more perfect (besides the gusty wind, which is to be expected being so close to the water). Carri was our in-house coordinator and she made sure that everything went according to schedule and to plan. She was always available to answer my many questions. The night before the wedding (and the night of the wedding) we (the bride and groom) stayed in one of the one bedroom cottages. The cottages had plenty of space for us to get ready with our bridal parties the morning of the wedding and were just as quaint and adorable as the rest of the venue. Thank you again for a day we won't forget! -

The Lighthouse Inn was exceptional in all aspects of our amazing day! They had a great staff & worked well with all our vendors. Their in-house wedding planner, Carrie, was on top of everything, responded to us quickly, & took all our questions & concerns seriously. Now to the actual venue, absolutely gorgeous!! It has an vintage feel but is kept up-to-date, such a classic Cape Cod aesthetic. The food was great & everyone had exactly what they ordered. The views are second to none! We got married in the sand with the Nantucket Sound behind us, while our guests still got to stay on the grass. You couldn’t ask for a more beautiful background, completely breathtaking. We wanted a small, simple, and, classy wedding; that is exactly what they provided for us. We stayed in one their cottages for the whole weekend and it made everything so much easier the day of. We don’t have any official photos yet but these are some phone pics we got from some of our guests and some views from the cottage we stayed in. We can’t recommend them enough!! Thank you!! -

I don’t even know where to begin on how amazing the lighthouse inn was for my wedding. The staff was kind and caring, they make you feel so special despite having other weddings to accommodate to in the same weekend. Everyone from the dining staff to the wedding coordinator to the room accommodator were so helpful and took away most of my stress! We stayed on sight for the weekend and I just love the quaintness of this inn! -

The Lighthouse Inn far exceeded our expectations for my son and daughter in law’s dream wedding! We had 85 guests, many of which stayed on site in either the rooms at the Inn or in the darling cottages on the property. From planning to execution, the staff lead by Carri, Bill and Joe made the day perfect in every way. Joe and staff actually picked rose petals on the property for the flower girls baskets when the florist forgot them, 10 minutes before the ceremony! Over and above also when it came to quality of service. Professional, friendly and funny staff who helped take photos, tie flower girls ribbons and add humor to our day! The food was amazing from the rehearsal dinner to the actual wedding. Appetizers and cocktails were served throughout. The setting was STUNNING and the weather was PERFECT for their seaside, magical celebration. HIGHLY RECOMMEND! 5+ STARS! -

We were fortunate enough to find the Lighthouse Inn following our pandemic engagement in Sept 2020, recommended by a close friend whose family member had organized a pandemic wedding there with great success. From the beginning Bill the general manager was responsive and helpful. Our plans changed multiple times over the course of our 7 month planning adventure. Bill was there every step of the way keeping us up to date on restrictions and how that would impact our dream wedding. Come June our wedding had expanded to include more guests and more vendors with the last minute hire of a DJ and Bill couldn’t have been more accommodating. Most of our guests were able to stay on site for a tremendous weekend full of love, great weather, beach time and convenient activities for little ones like the mini golf, playground and pool. Accommodations were clean and conveniently close to the beachfront and each other. We are so grateful for this beautiful experience with the help of Bill, Cari (wedding day coord) and all their staff. We will be back for a family retreat next season! -

If you're looking for a venue, you have found it! The Lighthouse Inn was not only beautiful, but they have the most incredible staff I have ever met! You get your very own contact person who has been planning weddings for a long time. He knows what goes right, what goes wrong, and how to make your day perfect.
The location is gorgeous, inside and out. They can accommodate small weddings and large weddings, and they can keep you safe during the pandemic!
The food is incredible - all of my guests were so impressed - I keep hearing that it was the best food they've had at a wedding!
The staff are friendly and kind, and the service is amazing!
The staff also work well with other vendors, and they even have a list of recommendations to help with your planning purposes!
I never dreamed a pandemic wedding could be perfect, but the wonderful staff at the Lighthouse Inn ensured that it was! I am so thankful that we booked the Lighthouse Inn. It was certainly the best wedding we could have imagined! -

This was the perfect venue for us. My husband (that's still so weird) and I are from huge families and we wanted a place where people could stay and be comfortable. Our siblings and friends all have children, and adults and kids alike LOVED the grounds. Between dancing, playing shuffle board or mini golf, walking out on the jetty, or just having a drink by the sea with dear friends, everyone had a blast. The view- we'll it's pretty unbeatable. We had fantastic weather, but I'm willing to bet a stormy day would be super cozy there as well! We are still receiving glowing reviews. The venue was personal, cozy yet spacious, the staff was very helpful, the food was great (get the red pepper cream sauce on pasta!), and the mood was relaxed and happy. Added bonus- many of the guests stayed there overnight. The visit was extended through the night and at breakfast the next day.

I booked my wedding here and live about 3 hours away. Emailing was very quick with responses and they provided me with all the information I needed. I came to look at the place and fell in love. They had a wedding set up for a ceremony and we actually got to view it from afar. My first venue I looked at and did not need to see anymore, it is perfect. We used the Lighthouse Inn for our rehearsal dinner and welcome party. Bill was great to work with throughout the whole planning process. He responded quickly to all our emails and was flexible with menu options. All our guests enjoyed it there and the service was great! The staff was so friendly and the food was incredible! I would absolutely recommend The Lighthouse Inn for a rehearsal dinner. My family has also eaten there for dinner and stayed at the hotel multiple times and would recommend going there for any occasion! Beautiful building, great views, awesome staff. -

My husband and I were expecting a quaint, cute Cape Cod wedding. We were blown away from what we got. Bill Sherman is so organized, thorough, and prompt. My main priority in vendors is customer service and after visiting the lighthouse inn (the first Venue I visited) I immediately put down our deposit.
Everything went so smoothly. We couldn’t be happier with our decision to get married here. The food was outstanding- I highly HIGHLY recommended the NE clambake. Bill continuously checked in on us during the ceremony. He was even bussing tables at one point. The beauty of the location was what made the Lighthouse Inn so appealing. The professionalism and efficiency is what made this wedding the most perfect we could have ask for. We keep being told how we had the most beautiful wedding of the year! -

Erin Sent on 09/29/2018We cannot say enough good things about Bill and the entire Lighthouse Inn staff. It was incredible to have our ceremony, cocktail hour and reception all in one gorgeous spot! The beach setting for our ceremony, deck for cocktails and apps and the DELICIOUS clam bake dinner were simply perfect. Our guests could not stop raving about the entire day.
Bill was awesome to work with for the 9 months we spent planning our big day. He was organized, responsive, and kept things moving on the big day.
Getting ready in Room 6 upstairs and knowing my groom and his groomsmen were just two cottages away eased any fears of travel issues. Walking down the deck stairs to the ceremony and meeting Kip's eyes in front of the gorgeous beach is a moment we will never forget.
We spend a lot of time on the Cape and have a family house in South Yarmouth - Lighthouse Inn gave us the ultimate Cape Cod wedding and was a fantastic destination for our guests traveling from out of town. Our wedding was on Friday and most guests stayed until Sunday and we have heard nothing but positive reviews about the various guest rooms and the entire West Dennis area.

Laurie Sent on 10/30/2017We planned our wedding at the very last minute (as in, abooout a week) and Bill was just amazing! He walked us through every little detail and made sure we were ready for everything. The historical site is absolutely beautiful and the food was amazing (we chose the clambake where each guest can pick New York steak or lobster and it comes with a giant basket of seafood and veggies--with vegetarian and children's options available, too) and our families are still talking about how delicious it all was. We had our ceremony with our toes in the sand and then a cocktail hour at some cute little tables by the porch. The sun set perfectly over the sailboats behind our party and at the end of the night we gathered around the fire pit and lit off sparklers with all the kids. Honestly, the Lighthouse Inn is charming, beautiful, elegant, and cozy, and any other venue would have definitely charged us separately for using each different part of their property. Not only that, but Bill Sherman steps in and put on the hats of several different careers--he's with you from the start as an event organizer/wedding planner, and then he shows up for the actual day as a master of ceremonies, getting everyone organized and keeping everyone on schedule. You're not going to find a better, more relaxed but elegant place on the Cape to have your wedding! We saw a bigger ceremony take place before ours and they booked the cute little cabins all around the lighthouse for their guests, so everyone all stayed in one place and could swim and hang out together. If you are inviting a lot of people I highly recommend planning ahead and reserving rooms there to create your own happy little wedding village! The place is just elegant enough to be perfect without being imposing or unwelcoming to your guests, and the staff are all incredibly friendly and accommodating.

Nicole Sent on 10/22/2016My husband and I had our wedding reception at the Lighthouse Inn on 9/11/16 and we could not have asked for a more perfect beach setting to celebrate our special day!
Bill Sherman, whose official title is the Food and Beverage Coordinator, was much more than that title suggests in my opinion! He coordinated our entire wedding from our first meeting through our wedding night. He was well organized, easy to work with and stuck to his word on arrangements we had discussed all throughout the course of two years of wedding planning. Not to mention that most of our coordinating was done long distance as my husband and I live in Minneapolis!
Bill worked with us to sort out the best seating arrangement and dance floor space for the amount of guests that we had at the reception ( about 105 of us in total). He's very knowledgeable about timelines and coordinating with vendors- he took a LOT of stress off of us when it came to setting up our flower arrangements, party favors and decorations. Bill even recommended the New England Clam bake reception dinner and we were all blown away with the presentation and taste!! I’m still dreaming of that lobster and we are still getting compliments on it! Well worth the price in my opinion!
All in all, we could not have chosen a better place and person to work with for our wedding day!

Judi Sent on 08/01/2014The Lighthouse Inn made our wedding dreams come true. We wanted a small intimate wedding on the beach and the picturesque Lighthouse Inn was spectacular. Mr. Bill Sherman is very helpful, patient, organized, and a wonderful man to work with. The Lighthouse staff are amazing as well. Everyone seemed to genuinely enjoy making our special day come true.
The Lighthouse Inn served as lodging for all our out of town guests and was the venue for our reception. All our guests raved about the delicious food and service. The Filet Mignon Oscar was outstanding and a popular hit among our guests. The Pork Loin with Peach and Cranberry Chutney was excellent and moist. The Vegetarian dinner inspired a few of our friends to ask for the recipe, which the Inn gave to them. Comments were made by many family and freinds, that this was the best food (and wedding food) they ever tasted!!!
Our dream wedding came true due in large part to Bill and the Lighthouse staff.

Julie Sent on 12/13/2016We LOVED our classic Cape Cod wedding at the Lighthouse Inn. Almost all of our guests stayed in the Inn or shared cottages! Including the wedding parties! We used the Gate House and the Lodge for our wedding parties- classic Cape Cod cottages and we all got to stay in a big house together and have the true Cape Cod experience that I as the bride grew up with-it was so fun to share it with others who have never been! And we were right on the beach! The evening was magical- the staff continually made sure we had everything we needed throughout our stay- the dinner was just beautiful and everything went as planned, the staff met with us beforehand several times to make sure they understood everything we wanted. They also have a great list of vendors they trust for our band, flowers, etc! And the prices of meals and such at the Lighthouse CANNOT be beat! Loren is the Cape is way over priced. Perfect experience, great staff! Thanks guys!!!! -

Back in July, my then fiancé and I were saved by the lighthouse inn and Bill! We had just postponed our big wedding in August due to covid and we called the Lighthouse inn in hopes that they could host our mini wedding on the same date in August. Bill, was amazing! Not only did they have the availability but he gave us a tremendous discount. He helped us organize and prepare for our big day. We have 10 guests coming and one of our guests rooms was upgraded to a the bedroom villa for free! The resort is gorgeous, the food is delicious, and our wedding went so well! It was one of the best days of my life, and I really give Bill and the light house inn so much credit for that. HAVE YOUR WEDDING HERE! Work with Bill! You won’t regret it. -

I don't even know where to begin this review, but our experience with the Lighthouse Inn was phenomenal. While it didn't feel like a destination to us, because the Cape is truly our home, planning a wedding in Massachusetts while you're in grad school in New Jersey is no small feat. But Bill and the whole team at the Lighthouse really made things so much easier for us.
We wanted this wedding to be a celebration of us and the friends and family who support us. It was not cookie cutter or like something you had seen before, and Bill was so flexible with all our DIY projects. We did the flowers ourselves and assembled them on site. We did all the decor ourselves, but I was able to hand him a map and the team set it up *exactly* how I envisioned it. When last minute changes to the guest list popped up, he was calm, cool, and collected. Our family and friends, literally from all over the country, felt so welcomed and at home. The staff was incredible. Also--get yourself into room 6 for your wedding if you can! It's huge, a great place to get ready. And the balcony is so freaking pretty. Everything was easy, lovely. It was our dream wedding.
And then there's the food! OMG it was so good. People are still talking about that lobster bake. I couldn't finish my plate. People took home "doggie bags" to eat back in their rooms. So delicious and precisely the experience we wanted our guests to have. You simply cannot beat the price for the location, the meal options, and the quality of service. I am thrilled with our choice. -

Pretty good
Had our wedding there June 4 2022. This was an 11:30am ceremony on the beach. Beautiful venue with rustic Capecod charm. The food was amazing and waitstaff excellent and I would give that 5+ stars.
When I (bride) arrived before the ceremony there wasn't a mirror in the room I was to wait in. I wish I had known this. I would have brought my own. This made me anxious as I could not check how I looked prior to the ceremony and touch up my hair and make up afterwards. We had a little trouble customizing the bar options for my guests 2 weeks prior. We had a small wedding (40 people). There wasn't any cake cutting because we had purchased a cup cake tree. Unfortunately, ice cream was not served for dessert with the cupcakes as I expected and was told would be included. We unexpectedly had issues with gnats or beach fleas during the ceremony because it was cloudy with no breeze. This was disturbing for my guests and myself. Had I known this may have occured, I would have asked for bug spray in advance and wish the coordinator had some on hand for myself and our guests.
If you do a day wedding at this place you will be abrubtly rushed out at the end of your wedding time. ( no hanging out on the beach with lingering guests) I had to stop socializing and pack up our stuff and settle my invoice so they could set up for the next wedding. All and all I was happy with everything considering. -
