Ruined the Groom's night!
I've waited a few days to post so that I could calm down. I was mother of the groom to the wedding this weekend. The venue was beautiful, our wedding coordinator was great but to find out that the Venue owner stated to another person so that my son could hear it, close to the end of the night "I can't wait for this fucking wedding to be over" is ridiculous! They took alcohol away from the groomsmen (all over the age of 21) and we did have 2 underage folks get beer (both were 18 and who hasn't tried to get beer at 18? - it was removed). At that point, they threatened to close down the bar (which we paid for). The venue owner showed up in shorts and tank top where she stood guard for the rest of the event and did not smile once! As the MOG and FOG, we were pulled several times in regards to the alcohol issues, which we tried to handle in order to allow my son and his new bride to enjoy their day and to find out the inappropriate comment was made to him was inexcusable.
I gave two stars due to the beauty of the venue and the customer service by the wedding coordinators.
If the wedding business is that miserable, get out of it. Don't RUIN the bride and groom's day!!!!!

Our reviews are very important to us and to our future couples, this is the reason I will be very transparent in responding to this reviews from the Foy family.
Our end goal is that couples have the best day ever. However, as is apparent, there are many outside factors such as extended family, wedding party and guests that all play a part in that outcome.
Our contract is very clear regarding alcohol and what is acceptable. We are a beer and wine only venue. We take underage drinking and being impaired when leaving the venue very seriously. We are located on a two lane state highway. The very next evening a man lost his life less than 1/2 mile from our driveway to a drunk driver. This particular day the situation only escalated as the evening progressed. Due to the continual issues with outside alcohol, underage drinking and disrespectful behavior to our staff. There were several times myself and other staff members reached out to the Foy family to resolve the situation as they asked to be the first contact. For all our efforts the outcome was sadly not what we wish for any of our couples.
Our uniforms are always professional during events and not as described in this review. As for the language I was said to have used, that would be out of character of myself and something that is not in my daily vocabulary.
