Incredible venue and service
I am a Cal Poly Pomona Alumni, so while searching through wedding venues, I remembered the beautiful patio lights I would often see off of the 10 freeway on my way home and thought to look into it as a potential venue. The Kellogg House was our first and ONLY venue walk-through, we immediately fell in love and knew it was where we wanted to celebrate our union. The Kellogg House event manager and staff were amazing to work with and very responsive from start to finish which was tough to come by during the pandemic. Our wedding reception was absolutely perfect and our guests were impressed with the venue. If you are looking for an outdoor wedding ceremony and/or reception, with a woodsy feel and a historic take, the Kellogg House is PERFECT for you! -

The Best Venue.
When I first started planning for a wedding I had NO idea what to start with first. Of course the venue is first so I went on wedding wire and The Kellogg House popped up and I instantly fell in love with all the pictures and awesome reviews I had been planning my wedding for about 11
Months and let me say Jacqueline, Sarah, and all of my preferred vendors made this process so
easy and calm!! Frankly I’m so sad that my wedding is over and no more planning but on to the next chapter of our lives! Our wedding was perfect in every way! They were both so attentive and helpful and responded always so quick if I had a question. I had the preferred vendors Alex from Primetime Music and Some Crust Bakery. They were AMAZING. Everything was absolutely perfect in every way and I wouldn’t have had it any other way. If you want that perfect outside Italy romantic vibes definitely Kellogg House is the way to go! Definitely will forever recommend them . Thank you so much for everything!! 🤍🤍-

A joy to work with!
We couldn't have asked for a better experience for our wedding day than what we got with Kellogg House Pomona.
Jacqueline was very accommodating when we had to reschedule for COVID reasons and continually kept us up-to-date on protocol.
Sarah did an amazing job at the rehearsal and the day of the wedding to help things run smoothly. Even with a slight menu mix up, they fixed the problem promptly.
The venue itself is gorgeous and provides a cozy atmosphere for all guests. The day was everything that we had waited for!

Beyond Expectations
Jacqueline & Sarah were professional, patient, attentive, and just wonderful. They help make our wedding day perfect. The venue itself is spectacular. We received so many compliments on the beauty of KH. We used quite a few of the recommended vendors and they too did not disappoint. It was a magical night and we and our guests had an unforgettable night. Highly recommend this venue. Thank you ladies! -

Great Service and beautiful venue
Perfect for our intimate day. They greatly catered to us the day of the wedding and were very accommodating to our needs. Jacquelyn is the main coordinator for communication prior to the wedding and she always got back to us in a timely manner and processed payments and receipts quickly. Sarah was our in person contact most of the time on visits and the day of the wedding. They were both courteous, professional and communicative which made our day easier on us through all the anxiety and emotion. On top of that the venue catering was delicious! They are a little strict on being at the venue too early before the wedding since they use that time to clean and set up for us but they always listen to requests their clients have and try to acquiesce when they can. We had a beautiful wedding and I do recommend this for others to use!-

Awesome!!!
My husband and I loved our wedding here at the Kellogg house! Jaqueline and Sarah were so sweet and professional! I am so glad we decided to go here. We had a family emergency a month before our original wedding day so we had to move it to a later date. And they were so amazing and completely understood my situation. On the day of my wedding, everything was perfect! They set it up beautifully! And the food was amazing!! All of my guests were raving how good and beautiful everything looked! I am so glad my husband and I decided to get married here! It was an experience we will never forget! Thank you Jaqueline and Sarah for making my wedding day so perfect! -

Hidden Gem
Great venue for a great price! Loved that it was all inclusive in that they provided catering, bar, table/chair rentals, and shuttle services. The venue is very flexible in that there are several different areas you can have your ceremony. We did ours in the lower terrace and it was beautiful. The property also has a lot of hidden trails for photos that really highlights all the nature surrounding the property. We upgraded to the Bridal Suite, and it was so worth it! The suite had so much room and my bridesmaids and hair & makeup artists loved it. And it allowed us early access to the venue which helped us finish setup early. Jacqueline was our main point of contact and she was always very quick to respond to my questions. The food was also great. We got lots of comments from our guests saying that the food was good. Overall, a great experience! -

Great experience and beautiful wedding!
We had a beautiful ceremony and reception at The Kellogg House in January 2019. The staff were really responsive and helpful about accommodating our accessibility concerns (the venue itself, especially the back terraces, are generally not ADA friendly, but we had a few guests in wheelchairs). It was important to us to make it work so that everyone could be there, and we did it, thanks to the flexibility of the staff. My wife and I had a beautiful experience, and we would absolutely recommend this venue to locals in the area looking for a beautiful spot for their wedding or event! -

5/5 stars. Would HIGHLY recommend this venue for your wedding. Here are some top-level highlights:
- Working with the team pre-wedding was a pleasure. Via email, Jacqueline was detailed, prompt, and incredibly helpful. She sent us helpful reminders about things to do before the wedding. Sometimes, even sending us reminders for payments (thank you!!).
- The Kellogg team had everything under control during the wedding. NOTHING went wrong. I fully trusted the team with the night's festivities.
- Food options are great! Everyone LOVED the food.
- Price is competitive and truly the BEST we found.
- The venue was absolutely beautiful. We wanted the perfect backyard wedding and we were able to get that thanks to this amazing venue.
All in all, our wedding was the best night of our lives. The team at Kellogg and the venue itself it had A LOT to do with that. We are forever grateful for their help and ability to maintain such a beautiful property. We are thankful we had the privilege of celebrating our wedding there.
Thank you so very much, Kellogg Team!
Here are some photos from our wedding. This may help you see how photogenic the venue and the surrounding property is. http://www.jonathanyacoub.com/roujean-milad -

Kellog House and its staff were a lifesaver for a couple that had to make a last-minute location change four months before the wedding date!
We worked closely with Jaqueline, Kellogg House Manager, to get our ducks in order from food, floor plans, and contractual agreements. She was very professional throughout the entire process and was always prompt with her responses to our request and questions.
Kellog house was able to provide a shuttle service for our 100+ guest that brought them from the parking lot at the bottom of the hill and Kellog West Hotel to the entrance of Kellog House.
The outdoor floorplan for the ceremony and reception was able to comfortably fit our 110 guest count, which also included a dance floor.
The food was amazing! We served our guest the tri-tip and salmon options for dinner. The kitchen staff even prepared a small surplus of food in case anyone wanted seconds.
Kristen was the venue coordinator the day of the wedding, and she was very supportive of making sure we were on track to complete all the activities we were scheduled to be participants. She also made sure we were hydrated and took care of our personal needs during the reception. Kristen went above and beyond by helping us pack our gifts and personal items at the end of the event and drove our SUV back to Kellog West because we were a little tipsy (as expected). She is a classy gal!
Planning a wedding is an extremely stressful process with a giant payoff at the conclusion. The Kellog West staff was an enormous contributor to helping us achieve what we had planned for our wedding. I would highly recommend Kellog West as a venue location you consider as one of your top options for location, professionalism, and value.
Thank you, Jaqueline and Kristen, for all your hard work and help! CHEERS!

From the moment we took a tour of the Kellogg House we knew that is where we had to get married. I have so much wonderful things to say I don't even know where to begin. Jacqueline and Kristen were nothing short of amazing to say the least. From the time leading up to our wedding, Jacqueline was literally a phone call or email away from answering any questions we had. She was so helpful and informative and truly made the plannimg process a breeze with her assistance. We married on 5/27/18. We had an evening front courtyard ceremony and reception in the backyard and it was so beautiful. Kristen was literally at my side the whole day making sure I had everything I needed. She even helped me get dressed amongst other things. She truly was my MVP that day and made sure I had everything I needed. I literally had to want for nothing as she always stayed 2 steps ahead. I was able to truly enjoy my day with no worries or concerns as she took care of everything. The staff there was also so sweet, professional and pleasant. The food was AMAZING- we had the stuffed chicken with pesto pasta and everyone kept talking about how great it was. Guests also couldn't stop talking about what a hidden gem the Kellogg House was and how beautiful it was. I would recommend this venue in a heartbeat as it has the quality, professionalism and beauty of everything you need for your special day. -

AMAZING! My now husband and I just had our Disney themed-wedding married at the Kellogg House on April 13, 2018. When we saw the venue, we immediately fell in love with the property and were surprised that most of the property was open for guests to walk around, inside and out. Jacqueline, Kristen and her staff are amazing. Jacqueline answered every question I had and responded so quickly. Kristen coordinated our wedding day and she did and incredible job! Everyone loved the staff working that day and they even danced with out guests when we cheered for them to join in on the dance floor! Our wedding day was perfect and it will be a day everyone won't forget. The food was also so delicious and was complimented by a lot of our guests. Thank you so much for everything! Jacqueline and Kristen, you really made our wedding day the best day of our lives! -

Finding an affordable and show stopping venue is not easy, but The Kellogg House is that and more! I came across The Kellogg House on wedding wire last year during my venue search. I immediately fell in love when I visited last December. The Kellogg House has an outstanding list of preferred vendors which we used for our wedding (Planner: Rebecca Calagna Events, Beverly's Best Bakery, DJ and lighting: PrimeTime Music). Through the entire planning process, Jacqueline the venue coordinator, was amazing to work with. She was always accessible, professional, and always communicated with us to inform us of deadlines. I was very much a DIY bride, creating my own centerpieces, photo booth wall, sweetheart table decor, and favors. The Kellogg House was so accommodating of my vision and on the day of, executed beyond my wedding day dreams! Our guests could not stop raving about how beautiful everything was, how delicious the food tasted, and how great our DJ was as well! If I could live out my wedding day again I would do it in a heartbeat! Thank you to The Kellogg House for making our wedding the absolute BEST DAY EVER!! -

I held my wedding reception at the Kellogg House on August 19, 2017. It was ABSOLUTELY perfect! A complete dream! First off the Kellogg House is seriously a hidden gem. I got so many compliments from so many guest about how beautiful the house was and the amazing views from the house. Second of all, Jacqueline and her team were amazing! Extremely professional and so easy to work with. Jacqueline was always available to meet in person or over the phone. She was great with responding back to emails. She would respond to all my questions and concerns and put me at complete ease. I was beyond satisfied with her work and the venue. I did not have any problems the reception was ran completely smooth. Also, the food was DELICIOUS! I've been to many weddings where the food is not good. The food will not disappoint here and the presentation is awesome. I ended up booking one of her recommended vendors for lighting. His name is Adrian He did amazing. I explained to him that I wanted bistro lighting and chandeliers and he gave me a great price.
I had the greatest experience and I am so beyond happy to have my dream wedding held at the Kellogg House. I definitely recommend this venue for an outdoor event. Jacqueline and her team will totally take care of you. -

Kellogg House truly is a hidden gem! After months of searching for the perfect outdoor venue that not only was beautiful but also within our budget, we found Kellogg House. It was the first venue that we loved and did not have an early curfew or noise ordinance and of course was also within our budget.
We worked with Jacqueline, the venue coordinator and she was amazing throughout the entire process. She was always available or notified us in advance when she would not be. I was very indecisive throughout my planning and was constantly emailing Jackie asking her to make changes. She was always courteous and very helpful. If for some reason they were unable to accommodate any of my requests, she always seemed to have a suggestion for me or an alternative option. The answer was never just a straight "no."
On our wedding day, she was constantly checking on me, making sure I was doing ok or asking if I needed anything. Her and her assistant went above and beyond their duties. They even fixed my dress for me when it needed to be pinned up and brought me a cocktail when I needed one! They did more for me than my actual Wedding Coordinator did! There were a lot of minor hiccups on my wedding day (nothing related to the venue) but they seriously made me feel so much better about it and helped everything go smoothly.
I am so grateful for them and the great work they do and I would highly recommend this venue!

The Kellogg House was the perfect place to get married...not only beautiful, but the staff was super helpful and absolutely amazing, especially the Venue Manager/Coordinator, Jacquie, who helped with every step of the planning and really made the whole process as stress-free as possible. I have no regrets having chosen this venue and would happily recommend this place to anyone looking to get married. 5 stars across the board for all aspects of service!! -

I'm not even sure where to begin! The venue is gorgeous and Jacquie is phenomenal! From purely a cost standpoint, the Kellogg House is the biggest bang for your buck. All of our guests were blown away by the venue and the food, and multiple people assumed it was a six-figure wedding (not even close). BUT the real kicker was the work that Jacquie put in. It hadn't rained in Pomona on our date in the last 10 years, so we weren't really ready for the shock of changing all of our plans when the forecast called for rain this year. But Jacquie did literally everything she could, waiting for the last minute to make any firm decisions, quickly responding to an annoying number of emails and calls from us, and rolling with our requests.
I would absolutely recommend the Kellogg House to everyone! -

We LOVED the Kellogg House for our wedding. We decided to have the ceremony out front and the reception in the backyard to make it feel like two separate venues. The team here were very easy to work with, which was especially important for us as we were coordinating from out of state. During the rehearsal and the wedding day, Jacqueline and Kristen made sure that everything ran smoothly, from set-up, to pictures, to making sure my groom and I had something to drink during, and coordinating dinner and cake cutting with the DJ. All of our guests commented on how beautiful it was, and overall, we had a great time! Plus the food was AMAZING! -

Jacqueline, the manager, was beyond amazing and was always professional when we contacted her with any questions or concerns. She coordinated the wedding on the day of and everything went smoothly and perfectly. We appreciated all of her help and professionalism and all of our guests were impressed with her and all of the staff working that evening. The Kellogg House was perfect!! It was an incredibly beautiful venue, both inside and out. We had an indoor ceremony and an outdoor reception, both of which were lovely. The venue made everything so easy and simple for us, with the bonus of being a great value. We were able to have our wedding, reception and even our honeymoon suite all under the same package, not to mention the tables, linens, chairs, silverware, dance floor, etc. (except cake, lights, flowers, photographer and dj) My new husband and I could not have been any happier with how the wedding turned out. Jackie, the venue coordinator, was also so very helpful. Before the wedding, she would answer any and all of my questions very promptly. On the day of the wedding, she was on top of everything at all times and made the big day that much easier! I would recommend The Kellogg House to anyone looking for a beautiful venue with package deals that included just about everything you need. -

The Kellogg House is the perfect venue for any wedding. It is absolutely stunning and the value is incredible! The food is to die for- we had the Mexican buffet and everything on the menu was delicious. One of the best perks about having a wedding here is working with the venue coordinator, Jacqueline. She is amazing! So friendly and professional, very responsive, and she makes sure your wedding day runs smoothly. She even sewed me into my dress when the zipper broke. Overall- we had so many compliments about having our wedding at the Kellogg House and would absolutely recommend it to anyone! -

The Kellogg House is an amazing Venue. When my husband and I took a tour, we instantly fell in love. We booked it right away for our wedding on Oct 7, 2016. We were on a tight budget and the Kellogg house offered us an amazing deal. Jacqueline, the events coordinator at the Kellogg House was a pleasure to work with. We had our own wedding coordinator and they both worked on our timeline. Jacqueline is very good with communicating with you when things are due, she gave us great vendor recommendations and always kept us informed about what we should be doing next in our planning process. The venue is not only beautiful, the food that they catered for us was delicious. My husband and I are still receiving comments from our guest about how delicious it was and how beautiful the location was. The house is near a freeway, but even so, we could not hear the traffic at all. We got married on a Friday at 5pm (total traffic hour) but again we did not hear any of it. So don't let that turn you away. -

To start off I want to thank Jacquie for her professionalism, kindness and flexibility with my husband and I. During our wedding preparation my husband and I went through a very difficult time. Jacqueline was nothing but caring and understanding and did the best job when we were ready to get our wedding back on track. During the day of the wedding so many things can go wrong and will go wrong. You need someone that is able to manage and coordinate her staff while keeping things organized with the vendors and that is exactly what she did. When everything you plan doesn't go accordingly you need someone that is able to take charge and get things done because as a bride that is the last thing you want to do. She has a timeline that she tries to stick to as close as possible and let me tell you it works! She is strict but on your wedding day with so much going on its what you need , organization and everyone sticking to the plan. I am really happy that my husband and I chose the Kellogg House as our wedding reception, the food was amazing (all of my guest got up for seconds) friendly and attentive staff, and all of my guest enjoyed themselves. Thank you Jacquie for making my wedding run smooth and be perfect. -

My daughter recently got married at Kellogg House and we couldn’t have been happier with the venue and the service. The day was perfect- even better than we could have imaged. The historic home and the grounds are beautiful, the food was delicious and the staff were friendly. Our guests loved the venue and many commented that it was the best wedding they had ever attended. My daughter and her husband wanted an outside "woodsy" venue with a vintage, rustic feel, and the Kellogg House delivered.
Jacquie, the event coordinator, is so organized and professional, and kept everything running smoothly. She was pleasure to work with from the get-go, and very responsive anytime we had questions. We had quite a scare the morning of the wedding, as the weather reports were predicting up to a 70% chance of rain during the time of the wedding. We thought we were going to have to move the wedding to the hotel on the Cal Poly campus, and forego my daughter’s dream setting for her wedding. Jacquie and our day-of coordinator held off setting up at the hotel as long as possible, and kept checking the weather reports minute by minute. Three hours before the start time for the wedding, the chance of rain had decreased somewhat, and Jacquie said we could go for it and hold the wedding and reception at Kellogg House - thank you Jacquie!! As it turned out, the weather was perfect, with no rain, and we will be forever grateful that Jacquie understood how much we wanted to keep the wedding at Kellogg House, and took a chance on the weather for us. When we arrived at the venue two hours before the wedding, everything was set up and looked beautiful- I’m sure the staff and our day-of coordinator had to work extra hard to set up everything in time, and we are very appreciative.
Overall, Kellogg House is an amazing venue, everything ran smoothly, and my daughter was thrilled with her dream wedding come true!

The Kellogg House is truly a hidden gem amongst Southern California wedding venues. The venue is beautiful and a perfect fit for those seeking a vintage vibe. My wife and I were recently married at this location (ceremony only) and were very pleased with our experience. Kellogg House offers the most value of just about any similar venue in Southern California. We toured countless other venues only to be turned away by absurd pricing, so finding the Kellogg was a breath of fresh air.
Our coordinator Jacqueline was beyond helpful. One thing in particular was her responsiveness. During our initial hunt for a venue we encountered many different coordinators that would take weeks to respond to the simplest of emails. Jacqueline was very accommodating regardless of how many times I asked her the same questions and was always prepared for every meeting. We never felt like we were lost in the shuffle with any of her other clients.
The only slight con about the venue is: location. Finding the venue can be a little tricky. Personally I had no issue but for some reason several of our guests, despite our best efforts, had trouble finding the venue. We even had a webpage with a map and directions (waze app), we even put up directional arrows on the roads leading to the venue. Perhaps this says more about our guests than the venue but still something to consider. Other than that I would highly recommend Kellogg House to anyone looking for a wedding venue.

I am so glad we chose the Kellogg House for our wedding venue!
From the beginning, Jacqueline was organized, helpful and very patient with my endless emails of questions. She asked me things I had not even thought of and always seemed one step ahead of me (impressive, since I consider myself an organized individual!) She made sure I had any information I needed and she was such a joy to work with. My parents enjoyed the tour of the venue and Jacqueline shared historical facts about the home and the Kellogg history.
The venue is BEAUTIFUL. The backyard is lovely and we opted to keep things really simple - the trees and beautiful white chairs looked so pretty! The tables were set up and napkins (your choice of color) were perfect! It was just like a fairy tale backyard wedding! The staff was organized and didn't let the extreme California heat keep them from getting things done.
We enjoyed walking around the property to take our portraits after the ceremony (there is never enough time for photos) and Jacqueline was very accommodating when I asked for just a couple more minutes. She brought us water during photos (it was 104 on our wedding day).
Jacqueline and her staff seemed to be everywhere all at once. Our sweetheart table had food on it for us with water -- and the FOOD. The food was INCREDIBLE. My husband and I have heard from numerous guests how amazing the food was and how people couldn't get enough of it.
I HIGHLY recommend the red potato salad and the tri-tip and Gouda potatoes for dinner.
Jacqueline kept everything on schedule, made sure my vendors ate dinner and made me feel like a queen. Basically she was my fairy godmother for the night.
The bar staff was cheerful and so much fun - they were quick and weren't skimpy on the drinks.
I can't say enough wonderful things about the venue, Jacqueline, her staff and the overall success of our wedding day. I am so glad we chose the Kellogg House for our wedding. -

I'm a little late writing this review but very very happy with our venue choice. The Kellogg House was a beautiful location for my wedding day. Every single guest I had at my special day could not stop raving about how much they loved it. Jacqueline the Event coordinator was AMAZING. I absolutely loved her. She was so professional and on top of everything. She was also very down to earth and very kind. The entire night went so smoothly with the help of Jacqueline & her assistant. I would have to say besides the venue and all of its beauty & the great customer service shown by Jacqueline, the number one thing my guests loved was the food!! They said it was the best food they had ever had at a wedding!! Thank you to every single person who helped make my wedding day so special, it is something I will always remember & I'm forever grateful!! -

We had our wedding reception at the Kellogg House in September 2014, and everything turned out to be so beautiful! We have always knew we wanted an outdoor reception, and we looked around a few venues that would work to pull off the natural rustic outdoor theme we wanted, as soon as we saw the Kellogg House for the very first time, we knew right off the bat this was the place.
The Kellogg House has a very beautiful 3-tier level backyard that is surrounded by trails and trees on the hill, the interior of the house is so beautiful and has so much historical elements, therefore very minimal decoration was needed. The outdoor reception turned out to be gorgeous especially during night time with all the bistro lighting up. We had a great experience working with the staff, our reception went very smoothly the day of thanks to their kind and helpful team. Jacqueline the venue coordinator was stellar, not only she had been helpful throughout our entire planning process, she was professional and responded very quickly to all our questions and enquiries just so we can have a peace of mind knowing everything was in control as we didn't have a wedding planner.
Everything turned out to be fantastic in the evening, everyone danced the night away and we continue to receive compliments from friends and families on how beautiful and classy the venue was! -

I had my reception here and it was perfect. We wanted an outdoor venue that wasn't too big (less than 200) and nearby in the San Gabriel Valley. I attended Cal Poly as a student, but I was never up at the Kellogg House. So when I Googled, "outdoor wedding venue," and this came up, I had to check it out. Being a history buff, I enjoyed the history of the house- tours were offered to the wedding guests. It was perfect for our vintage theme as well. The coordinator, Jacqueline, was very accommodating the entire time. My guests thought the venue was absolutely lovely and they had a great time. I could not have imagined having the wedding elsewhere. -

If you want a wow factor for an outdoor venue then this is it! This place has so much history and is aesthetically appealing for pictures – it is truly a hidden gem. Our guests were impressed with the architecture of the house and the antique furnishings that adorns the inside. The event coordinator Jacqueline went above and beyond for us on the day of the event. She worked well with our vendors and was there to assist us in anything we needed and was gracious enough to give some of our guests a tour of the home during cocktail hour. -

I got married and had a reception at the Kellogg House on the campus of Cal Poly Pomona on July 4, 2013. My wedding reception was the most magical, memorable and stress-free experience of my life. The venue was absolutely breath-taking. The girls at The Kellogg House were so flexible and accommodating throughout the six month planning process. They worked extremely flexibly and professionally with all of my other vendors. When the day came, they were there and responsive to our every need. The waitstaff was friendly and helpful and even served me and the groom our dinner because we were chatting with guests and didn't have time to hit the buffet line. The food was absolutely incredible. I've had almost every guest I've spoken with since the wedding comment on what a WONDERFUL venue that was. I feel so pleased and fulfilled by the whole experience and would recommend the Kellogg House as a venue for a wedding with my whole heart. If I had to plan my wedding all over again, I'd go with the Kellogg House every time :) -

We actually had our reception at the Kellogg West Restaruant which is right up the hill from Kellogg House. Better for bigger parties and amazing view. Food was excellently prepared. We were able to make appointments to taste test everthing that we wanted served that day. Even after we made a request to tweek something on the menu they were very accomendating. Cori was our representative and she was amazing! Helped us through the whole process. Very clean and lovely indoors. There is also hotel space nearby for those traveling in (we got our wedding night suite for free!!!) that includes a GREAT "home cooked" breakfast. Everyone loved it! -

I absolutely LOVED the Kellogg House!! It's a beautiful 1920's mansion hidden at the top of a secluded hillside on the Cal Poly Pomona campus. The setting is gorgeous!! You can hold your wedding inside or outside, front or back. We held our wedding ceremony and reception on the outside terraces which easily held all 75 of our guests, dance floor AND our 11-piece Big Band!! Though our wedding was outdoors, guests were allowed to go inside of the house as well (restrooms were inside), so it really felt like someone let us borrow their beautiful mansion for our wedding (unlike some "mansion" venues that only allow you to use the outside). The wedding coordinators were a huge help in making things run smoothly. Even when our keyboardist for the ceremony didn't bring his keyboard (don't get me started on the review for the band...), the Kellogg House coordinators on hand quickly came up with a keyboard and saved the day. Our catering was also through the Kellogg House (I think it's officially called Kellogg West Catering). You can choose plated dinners, or buffet style. We chose the buffet. Now, I'm not just saying this because it was my wedding, but I can 100% honestly say that the food we had was the absolute BEST wedding food I've ever had in my life (and I've been to a lot of weddings)!! We received tons of compliments on the food. We had a huge variety of appetizers, salads, entrees to choose from. We were given a private "taste testing" at the Restaurant at Kellogg Ranch before making our choices, which really helped as well. Our cake was also included in the cost of the wedding and booked through one of the bakeries the Kellogg House worked with at the time. We had our choice of bakeries and decided to go with one called "The Wedding Cake" in Montclair. Unfortunately, I don't think they exist anymore. But they were flexible enough to make us small cakes for each table (a family tradition on groom's side) in addition to our (marginally) bigger wedding cake . More positives about the Kellogg House are the privacy and exclusivity you have for your wedding. They do not book more than one wedding a day, so there's no fear of overlapping weddings or feeling rushed (if you have an early wedding). There is also a private parking lot at the opposite end of the house's driveway which comfortably fit all the vehicles of our guests. There's probably so much more that I could say, but you only have so much time to read it all. To be fair, I have to mention the one and only negative, which really didn't make a difference in the end--the 10 freeway, which sits at distance far below the hills, can be heard. The Kellogg House sits high up, but it is on a bluff and you can hear the sound of the freeway. It was the only thing that made me hesitate, but it became a non-issue once the wedding ceremony and reception were under way. If you are considering the Kellogg House, PLEASE don't let this nonsense issue turn you away. I'm so happy we chose this as our wedding venue and I'm SURE you will love it just as much! P.S.--If either of you are a student or alumni of Cal Poly Pomona, you get a discount! :D -

Jacquie is absolutely AMAZING! Customer service is number one to me and ever since the minute I emailed her inquiring about use of the facility, she was with me every single step of the way, I'm not kidding. She answered all my questions and she exceeded my expectations with her response time. I would literally email her sometimes a few times a day or even late at night when I thought of something I knew I would forget and I would know the answer well within 24 hours, even if it went over that, it didn't matter because she proved her trust quickly with me, plus she has other weddings to plan too!!! Quite honestly, the Kellogg House was low on our list to choose as a reception location because the website and PDF brochure could definitely use some updating/refreshing but we decided we had to check it out because we were both alums from CPP and the campus is absolutely beautiful... Sooo glad we did because after we toured the house, we feel in love and the beauty/history it displayed as it was completely the atmosphere and feel we imagined for our wedding, matched our budget better than other previous local locations. We used the preferred vendor list for the DJ & lighting and flowers from the KH and they were also great to work with! The ONLY reason why I didn't rate the professionalism a 5 star is because the day after the wedding as we were talking through the day with our family, my out of town family who so kindly agreed to set up all my decor the day of, mentioned they found the staff unhelpful when they were asking questions/guidance on proper placement of items. I was shocked but everyone has their own opinion, in the end, it worked out beautifully and I wouldn't change it for the world. -

Best day ever
It was a very smooth process and the day of was perfect. I only give flexibility a 4 because I wanted the bridal suite the day of but was told I can’t have it at 6am but 9am earliest and that didn’t work for me. Also there was confusion about when my coordinator was able to be there to set up. Small hiccup though and my day and process was absolutely perfect. Highly recommend Kellogg house. -

A perfect night to remember!
My wedding was absolutely perfect. We worked closely with Sarah and she made us feel like we were family. She worked so hard to make sure that everything was running smoothly and flawless. She checked in with me though out there night to make sure that we were taken care of and there was nothing that I needed. From the moment that I got there she was more than a coordinator for the night. From pinning my dress as I was about to walk down the isle to leaving the venue and helping to do that last minute walk through. I couldn't have imagined our special day being this perfect. -

Wedding Planning Made Easier
The Kellogg House is a BEAUTIFUL outdoor venue for a wedding! We loved how cozy everything felt even while having a little over 180 guests.
In addition to the beautiful setting, Jacqueline and her staff made the planning process so much easier. We were specifically looking for a venue where we wouldn't have to source services and materials one by one and we were very happy with what the Kellogg House had to offer. Everyone loved the food, I was able to rent and arch and table numbers that saved me some time, and the day of coordination allowed for everyone to enjoy themselves without worrying too much about what was happening behind the scenes. Jacqueline even made sure my husband and I were able to eat the delicious dinner, have some cake to take home, and kept us hydrated on a warm July evening.
I also decided to rent the bridal suite to give the girls a little more time to get ready and our vendors a little more time to set up. It's a lovely space and definitely worth it since it completely eliminated me and my bridesmaids having to run around getting hair and makeup done beforehand, instead the makeup artists and hairstylist were able to come straight to the venue so we could relax and spend a little more time together.
Thank you, Jacqueline and Kellogg House staff, for helping us put on such a memorable event! -

The only regret I have about the Kellogg House was that I didn't book them sooner- it would have been a great load off of my mind! Jacqueline is the venue manger and was our contact through the planning process. She made everything easy and answered most of my questions before I even had to ask them. Kristen was our day-of coordinator, and she saved me from stressing out as much as I otherwise would have.
We had a blast at the wedding, our guests enjoyed the food and raved about the Kellogg House preferred DJ, Primetime Music and Entertainment, and the preferred bakery, Some Crust Bakery (we were going to go with them, anyway- sooo good). The venue can be dressed up or down, and we were pretty minimal with our decor and it still looked beautiful. There are also lots of great spots for photography, both indoors and out.
This venue was such a great value for the price, and we still can't believe we had such a great wedding for the amount we spent. -

We had a wonderful experience at the Kellogg House. We were abel to customize our wedding excatly how we envisioned it.
Jackie the coordinator was very good and helpful and was always willing to meet and answer questions. The day of our wedding she took care of us and made us feel like rock stars. When our flower girl scraped her knee and was crying, Jackie saved the day and grabber her a cool blue bandaid, and helped her stop crying.
We had a blast!

I fell in love with the ambience of the house and the grounds. We did not have a lot of guests so I wanted the warmth to be felt. The house was able to provide that. Although it did rain the night before and the day of and we were not able to host our wedding there I would recommend the house to others. Thank you for letting take some pictures at the house that was great! If I ever have the need for a place I would consider the house. -

The Kellogg House is such a beautiful venue at a very reasonable cost. The staff is extremely professional and the venue coordinator, Jacqueline is fabulous (very attentive - and handled any concerns we had).
With any wedding, there are just things you can't plan:
Example 1: such as extra guests that weren't invited (which must be common) - the staff handled it without bothering my husband and I and allowed us to enjoy our evening without any issues.
Example 2: weather! They are well equipped and experienced for weather-related issues. It rained on our wedding day but it was all sorted planned for when the big day came.
Jacqueline is invaluable. I'm sure she's seen more than enough weddings, but extra touches of seeing us off during the ceremony and congratulating us afterwards + the personal note she left us at the wedding suite was just amazing and very genuine.
And I must commend the staff. It's an extra plus that Cal Poly has a college of hospitality management because they were great. Food was spectacular and staff was great. -

The venue is great if you want something private, like a house, with a nice backyard. However, be prepared to have the freeway noise in the background. It wasn't too distracting, but it was there. Overall, a very pleasant experience. Jacqueline, the venue coordinator, is experienced, responsive, and helped organize and run our ceremony and reception. -

Jacqueline is very professional from the very beginning of communication, very timely in how she responds. On the day of our wedding, the timeline changed a bit and she was very well balanced between keeping guests happy but also getting the program going. The Kellogg House itself is very beautiful and they do a great job of upkeep! As we were searching for a place, the Kellogg House was by far the most affordable and valuable for what you get. I would highly suggest this place. -

Fantastic location with a fantastic coordinator - Jacqueline--who will help to make sure your wedding runs as smooth as can be. The house has a beautiful old Hollywood type of ambiance and when lit up at night with a bit of Sinatra playing in the back, is utterly magical! Advice to others booking this venue - have your cocktail hour in the courtyard, it's beautiful and frees up the back for private photos of the bride and groom. Send an email out to your guest with directions since the house is hard to find. Get the shuttle service to take your guests to and from the house and back to the hotel. Try to keep your guests all on the first and second tier. tables 12 and 13 may have a hard time seeing because they are more towards the back by the bar. This place was wonderful to have my wedding and I recommend it to others who are venue hunting! -

We had an amazing wedding and reception at Kellogg House in October. Jacqueline was easy to work with and very organized, she was especially helpful during the event as she made the day run smoothly from the background. We did a lot of DIY for decorations which was challenging due to the short two hour prep time that they allow, but if you have non wedding party helpers you can make it work. Every single person who attended told us how beautiful the venue was. When we compared this venue with others of similar price the setting and staff were far and away better than the others. Everyone thought the food was very good as well. We paid $20 to taste a few additional items during our complimentary tasting which was well worth it. We could not have chosen a better location for our wedding! -

Our wedding was absolutely wonderful. The venue was a perfect setting for our ceremony and reception. The Kellogg house staff was very helpful with fulfilling our needs throughout the entire planning process and event. We did have a wedding planner that did not work for the Kellogg House which also helped make the communication much easier between both parties. The time management of the wedding was very on point. We did for the most part stick to the schedule my only concern was that we seemed to be rushed out toward the end of the event and my guests felt as though we had to scramble to get our items together. Overall it was fantastic and we would recommend the Kellogg house to any couple. -

The Kellogg House is a gorgeous venue. It fulfilled my vision being classic and outdoors. Unlike many venues, the party can also continue to midnight and accommodate 200 guests, which was a major must for my husband and I. Jacqueline and her team were very responsive and I felt well taken care of at every step of the way. My only gripe was the shuttle situation. The venue was unaccomodating in transport of bridal party from the Kellogg West hotel to the venue. This caused a wrinkle in our schedule and stress that we didn't expect. Other than that, everything went according to plan. The venue was accommodating with us having a taco vendor for a late night snack and all of the rentals we coordinated for the reception. If you're considering Kellogg House, would recommend to be super clear with directions! We had one guest that didn't even make it despite all the thorough directions we provided. I would also advise to keep an eye on the weather. We had to rent heaters last minute. Memorial Day turned out to be cold this year! -

Cal Poly Pomona has catering done on campus by the Kellogg West Conference Center. They have a set brochure for wedding catering. You can choose from a served meal or a buffet menu. We chose buffet style. KW offers 3 themes for their buffets; Latin food, Asian food, or Italian food. We wanted to be more flexible with our selections, and chose to go with a custom buffet menu. Our cost was $50 per person for 2 appetizers, 2 salads, 2 entrees, 2 starches, 1 vegetable and includes dinner rolls with butter, ice tea and lemonade.
Jacqueline was our point of contact for everything. We sent her our selections for the tasting and for $10 per additional person, we brought my parents and sister (MOH) to join us in choosing the menu. The servings were generous, but the entrees we tasted weren't very hot.
Price is more on the expensive side than going with an outside caterer, but if you bring your own caterer to either of the 2 Cal Poly Pomona wedding venues, you still have to pay Cal Poly $9 per person just be eat their meal at the venue! -

Pros and Cons to this Venue!
There are definitely pros and cons associated with this venue.
Pros:
- The staff is SO attentive and helpful on your wedding day. They make sure everything associated with the venue runs smoothly and give VIP service to the bride and groom. The staff served my husband and I our dinner and both the venue coordinators asked my husband and I what alcoholic beverage we'd like to drink after the ceremony (and then went and got it for us!). The bartender gave us special attention by prioritizing us whenever we went up to the bar.
- The venue is gorgeous and the food is amazing. We got so many compliments from our guests about how beautiful the venue was and how good the food tasted.
- The venue coordinator responds promptly to email and never lets anything slip between the cracks.
- You can do a lot of DIY at this venue to truly personalize your wedding.
Cons:
- This venue is reasonably priced for how beautiful and elegant it is. However, there are a LOT of upcharges associated with it. One of the upcharges that really bothered me was that you have to pay for glass wine glasses per setting. They only offer 150 stem-less glasses, but their venue has a capacity of 200, so why not carry your capacity? Our guest count was 164, so we had to pay for each wine glass at $1 per glass to have 164 stemmed wine glasses at each table setting. If you want the wine served to each guest (instead of pre-poured), you will need to hire servers at $25 each per hour to do so.
- While the venue coordinator is responsive, she is not the warm welcoming coordinator that you might expect as a bride. Her responses are curt and to the point (and sometimes make you feel like you're bothering her), and it's not the customer service you'd expect for paying a significant amount of money to get married here.
- If you plan to book a room block at the Kellogg West hotel, you can expect the absolute WORST customer service from the manager, Cameron. His email communication is extremely rude, and he makes you feel like you're a nuisance for bothering him. He gives bare minimum answers to everything and never once thanks you for your business.
- You really need to hire a "wedding coordinator" with this venue. The venue coordinators make sure everything at the venue runs smoothly. If you want to ensure that your wedding day timeline runs smoothly, you need to have a wedding coordinator do this for you. Trust me, it's much better than your friend or mom having to do it!!!
Overall though, I would recommend this venue. It was the perfect setting for our wedding day, and we had an overall positive experience. -

over the coarse of a year preparing for my wedding there was times that we felt rushed and a sense of pushy ness for the wedding coordinator. there were some emails that seemed to have some rudeness behind them and when asked about the negative reviews towards her we could not get a legitimate answer. Though the day of our wedding the coordinator was awesome, she was friendly to everyone and very helpful through out the whole night which was great. As for the venue its self was great and beautiful, though the only issue i had was it took a long time to get food out to our guest, some guest didn't get food we had to ask for the plates, so that part seemed very unorganized. it was noticeable to a good amount of my guest and myself that dinner service was not organized right because we are either restaurant owners or chefs, myself being an executive chef. overall it was a great venue and would highly recommend i to other people -

hire a day of wedding coordinator. coordinator provided helps mainly with dinner/house operations, not so much on the wedding schedule/guests. -

The food is amazing! Everyone enjoyed everything that was served. The location is so beautiful! When you book with them, we got a suite on our wedding night at the Kellogg West Hotel which was wonderful. Jackie works well to answer any questions you may have. I would recommed this vendor/location/venue for any type of event. -

Unfortunately I have to offer a bad review of Jackie as well. My only purpose in this is to warn other couples and their families ahead of time. As the mother of the bride, and not having the advantage of a coordinator, every experience was new. I felt satisfied during the planning stages, and had no worries. Communication with questions we had was decent, and we had no issues. The night of the rehearsal, I felt that Jackie wanted to be any place but there, and her lack of patience with all of us first-timers was noticed. Even so, we felt excitement that the ball was rolling and soon everything would come together. We are very easy-going people, so we let a few minor issues pass. I didn't feel that Jackie was cordial at all during the day of the wedding and the set-up process. The topper was at a point during the food service a family member who had ordered a vegetarian dish, was told there was no more. Jackie went to the table and told our guests that the bride and groom made a mistake in ordering and she would try to get something for them to eat. First of all, we went to great pains to make sure the food order was correct. We even made note-cards, and placed them at the table for those with special requests. And secondly, I feel that regardless of who's fault it was, that the bride and groom should not have been made scape-goats for what went wrong. I felt that was unprofessional. I think Jackie really knows her stuff, but I know from experience that it's difficult to work with the public, and maybe she needs to take a break for awhile. I chose to remain anonymous because despite these issues, our whole family agrees that it was a magical evening, and I don't want to take anything away from that. If you're considering having a wedding here, I highly recommend it. It really is a beautiful venue, and well worth the price. -

Cal Poly Pomona Alumni (Not the best, but it is still fine)
I am a Cal Poly Pomona Alumni and had my wedding this past October. I waited a couple of months so I can write a fair and honest review.
ERROR ON WEDDING DAY: Okay, everything went smoothly but one thing. The open bar. I told the venue coordinator that I will pay up to 3,500. I said the bartenders can serve “Well” liquor, but if a guest orders “Topshelf” liquor, that is FINE. The guest just has to request that liquor. BUT it came to my attention that guests were PAYING for drinks. I am not sure where the miscommunication happened, but I was UPSET! To top it off my bill came out to 3,100 and there was no explanation to why some of my guests were being charged. They said no guests were being charged, but why would my guests tell me they paid for some drinks? Another thing I was charged for 4 glasses of wine, but I provided my own wine that should be the only wine being served. When I asked why I was charged for 4 glasses of wine, they said they were not sure and maybe a guest requested it. But it didn’t make sense because that type of wine is what I offered to guests. I think that is unethical business practice and they should have refunded that money since they had no explanation for it. I have emails to prove it as well.
SERVICE: Okay this is where they NEED to IMPROVE! The service and communication between the staff is not the best. Also it was so hard to reach the venue coordinator. But of course they were on top of it when a payment was due. Now, I know she had a lot on her plate and needed help, but it was so hard to reach her. I had to keep contacting the hotel so I could try to get a hold of the coordinator. When I did reach the coordinator she was apologetic and helped, but honestly, it was so stressful!
VENUE: The venue itself is gorgeous and I got many compliments about it. My guest also had to take a shuttle and I did not hear any complaints about that.
FOOD: The food was SOO good and people have told me it was the best wedding food they have had. I chose buffet style: Scalloped potatoes, lemon caper chicken, tri tip, cesar salad, and pasta salad. It came with bread and lemonade/iced tea. My only complaint is that they took the food away too soon. It didn’t make sense why they took the food away after 2 hours because I am paying for the food. Plus by the time the last table got their food it was about 2 hours. So how are guests supposed to go for seconds if they remove the food right away. The staff was not serving the food either so it didn’t make sense to me.
ADVICE: My advice is if you want to book this venue, then hire your own Coordinator! That will help tremendously. Also, I would book their vendor recommendations because they were amazing and they knew where the location was.

Although the actual venue was beautiful and well liked the coordinator Jacqueline caused a bit of a headache. She lacked clear communication throughout the planning of the event, she did not clearly outline what her role was from the beginning, and as the wedding date approached her attitude seemed to sour. Even guests at the wedding noted how bad her attitude was. We had planned our own procession since we had no idea she would be handling this for us; which she was clearly unhappy with when we told her. She responded with a very snooty "yea, that is my job". It seemed her assumption was that everyone knows how to coordinate and execute an event such as this, just like she "does". I believe the lack of communication was a result of this attitude on her part. The "icing on the cake" was when at the end of the wedding she placed our wedding cake into a used Newcastle Beer box, which was not even labeled! She claimed to have told “everyone” but this was not the case and as a result the cake was ruined. She displayed complete disregard for her responsibility in ruining our cake and blamed it on our cake vendor while claiming the Kellogg House does not carry pastry boxes or a pen apparently. For $16,000 plus she should be able to foresee this sort of problem occurring or at the very least label the beer box. We also did not receive an apology for the staff dropping and shattering two champagne bottles on our guest’s feet or for the staff removing the champagne glasses before the toasts had been performed. Our cupcakes were also not served to our guests and we were not "allowed" to even display the cakes before the cake cutting because according to Jacqueline: "Everyone would eat them". The experience at the Kellogg House could have been great but the experience with the "wedding coordinator" was absolutely horrible, and was far below the standard I'm sure CalPoly strives for, and she is certainly not adequate to be in the position she is in. -

The venue, location, and price was just what I was looking for. I am rating it so low because of the coordinator. I wished the coordinator there was friendlier and more of a people person. I found myself going over things with her more than once. She answered all my questions through email in a timely manner. However when it came to some details I had to ask then she would tell me.
I know on the actual wedding day everyone is on a schedule but she even gave my sister a bit of an attitude ..
My recommendation is to have more than one coordinator to choose from. Or just make sure your one is a people person. -

Whew! Where to begin with this one? First, the venue is beautiful and the food is great. I was very excited to be having our May 26, 2012 wedding here and it was nice that I got a discount for being an alumni as well. Well, there in lies the good stuff, and now the bad. The first coordinator through the Kellogg House was a nice young woman, that ended up quitting.. randomly. I thought it was strange but moved on because she was next to impossible to get a hold of any way. So the next coordinator came in and seemed to be more responsive. There were some problems with the lantern company and the Kellogg House working together, which was literally driving me crazy. Also, there was a problem with this coordinator's generality, he told me I could bring whomever I wanted to try our wedding food, they would just have to pay a certain amount of money. Well, some of my family and wedding party wanted to try the food, and then he told me last minute that only 4 people could try the wedding food. Not very good at details, but besides that everything went fairly smooth and I felt I was working with people that actually cared about our wedding.
Well, I was definitely wrong because the day of the wedding I found out before our ceremony that this second coordinator quit that very morning. Yes, that very morning. We had just seen him on Thursday for rehearsal and he pretended that everything was great, even took my day of coordinator's number and talked to her. Well, then some young college kid comes in to tell me to not worry he had all my information on file, which did not make me feel ANY more comfortable. People kept telling me there was parking trouble and there wasn't enough parking for everyone, this is what a coordinator should have been taking care of.
We had asked this coordinator if we could bring champagne in to drink while we were getting dressed, he said no problem. Well, there obviously was a problem because the police came and confiscated our alcohol. Again, no coordinator so??? The police gave my mother in law attitude, and basically told her to mind her own business when she asked what the problem was. Well, she said actually it is my business and the police were telling her one of the groomsmen had a bad attitude and they needed to take the alcohol???? It is really great that the staff would call the police on their customers, don't you think?
The wait staff seemed as confused as I was. They had not poured our champagne for the toast and my DJ had to get on them to do it. Terrible service!
Then in my file I had asked that me and my husband be served (instead of going through the buffet) that way we would be done eating before everyone and might have some time to mingle, this was not done.
We had asked this said coordinator SEVERAL times about how much money we should put into the bar, which he always reassured us that we are putting more than enough money. The bar was at its limit within an hour! My father-in-law asked if he could get a drink and they told him sure, but it would cost this amount. Then he saw the bar tenders giving someone else a drink without them paying??? The bar tenders were also rude, gave my mom attitude when she asked them to make her drink strong.
We had asked for food to be packed for us, so we could enjoy some food in our Bridal Suite, this was never done. In fact, the police were enjoying our food as well as our candy bar that we never even tried. So glad our money was well spent.
Obviously, I went to complain after we had our Honeymoon and everything was settled in our new life. I found out that the main event manager had also quit. So I sent a complaint to Oscar, the new person in charge of the venue. He seemed nice and responsive, but is still working out what he can do to remedy this situation.
My advice to future brides: Stay away from Kellogg House, because they can't provide a professional team. This is really hard for me to say because the venue is gorgeous and the food is amazing. However, this is a very important event and there is no consistency with this venue. You are also paying a lot of money and they should treat and respect you as a customer. -

Horrible customer service
As with some other 1 start reviews, my review is based on the customer service and my experience with the awful staff at Kellogg house.
If you want to work with staff that is warm and welcoming, you will not get it here. Jacqueline is an absolute nightmare to be around. Rude, condescending and clearly not concerned with ensuring the brides she is working with are happy and have their needs met. Unfortunately I was so wrapped up in how pretty the venue was I didn’t think to look at some of her reviews. A quick sweep across yelp and other various wedding sites will give you an idea. Even her responses to some reviews are snarky and unprofessional.
First and foremost the venue allows outside catering, but be warned if you do not use their catering there are many things you are then not allowed to do or have. When I went to visit the venue initially I was shown around by her then assistant Kristen who gave my planner and I so much misinformation. From things we could do, receive, along with alternate rain plans. We found out weeks before that this was all false. Was it remedied? Of course not
My wedding day there was rain in the forecast but it didn’t end up raining. However, the venue never laid our dance floor because when they came in the morning PRIOR to the arrival time of vendors (at 12) it drizzled. That is understandable but when it was noon there was no rain from then on. We should have had our dance floor laid at that time but it was not and again it was never remedied What is irritating is the fact that we were told we would not be refunded the $350 cost of what we were never given. Lawsuit waiting to happen.
On top of this the venue manager was there the day of sucking the joy out of the entire day, making things difficult for my photographer, and having a sour face the entire time. Thank goodness for my wedding planner and the venue’s assistant Sarah. Without them the day probably would have been ruined.
At the end of the day the venue is more concerned with the amount of money that they are going to squeeze out of you and not with making sure they solve issues they have caused or with making their couples happy. If you want to make sure you get your money’s worth AND work with someone who actually cares about making this day special avoid Jacqueline and the Kellogg house.
I will definitely be adding my review to every wedding site I can find so hopefully no one else has to deal with her atrocious personality. -

Beauty and the Beast
The Kellogg House gave me the most beautiful wedding ever, combined with the worst coordinating team I could ever ask for.
The beauty of the Kellogg house shinning at night under the twinkle lights can only be rivaled by their terrible customer service. I could not for the life of me get ahold of anyone. If I could attach every email I sent--I would. When I say no one responded--NO ONE responded. It took me emailing the conference hotel center for me to finally get forwarded to Christina. The first thing she did was be condescending to me and make remarks about how 'obviously it wasn't hard to get ahold of someone if I am speaking to her".
Almost every time we would speak, she would complain and rant about how her father didn't help with her wedding at all and how I have it so easy that my father is helping me.
My coordinator, fiancé And I toured the venue a couple weeks before the wedding and we toured the entire backyard in the dark because she "Didn't want to go all the way into the basement and turn on the lights".
She also argued with me about the start time of my wedding, when I have it in writing what I said. She would argue with me about EVERYTHING. She even tried to short us on our 1 hour and 30 minute dinner time and I called her out for it.
She also gave me attitude about my rehearsal. My rehearsal had been planned for months. So then she acts like it hasn’t already been set for months?? so I told her that the obvious that it was set for Thursday months ago so I wasn't changing it. And in response to that was, "Good because it's my birthday Friday" and then she later continued to complain about how I "last minute I changed my rehearsal"
The week of my wedding was the most stressful week of my life thanks to Christina Godoy. The weather said no rain. Christina called me saying that she was reading something saying it was going to POUR? They don't tell you that they will force you into canceling your wedding or coughing up more money. I told her I didn't want any of the options because literally everything said it would be sunny. She then proceeded to tell me that if I did not pay for a tent she would cancel our wedding because it would be a "destruction of property" to move forward with the wedding because we are ruining all their stuff by getting them wet... How does that make sense? All of the forecasts said Sunny and she was threatening me to cancel the wedding ( it didn't rain.) So we decided to do ONE tent… but why was okay? What happened to destruction of property and not getting their items wet? Or did it only apply half of their items??
I then talked to the lighting guy and he told me a ton of stories about all the weddings he did at Kellogg where it spontaneously starting raining during the weddings. Now I ask you Kellogg house, when it spontaneously rained during those weddings, did you charge the couples for a destruction of property? Or did your property not matter then because it was too late to shell out the money from them!
DAY OF MY WEDDING: The day of coordinator was arguing with me when to start MY wedding. Despite the fact I was telling her that I wasn't ready yet. SHE was arguing with me. She even went so far as to, when I told her I had one more shot (a first look with my dad) SHE WENT AND GOT MY DAD AND BROUGHT HIM IN and almost ruined my first look because it wasn't on HER schedule.
And lastly, when we were all in the tent the lights I paid for ALL went out. (even when they were on a lot were out but that's not what I am talking about) My coordinator went up to her and asked her why they went out and she literally shrugged and said she didn't know. She was not going to do anything about it! The lights had been off inside the tent for 10 minutes! It took my coordinator going off on her for her to finally call the tent guy and get him to come out and fix them!
Moral of the story--Kellogg house is beautiful but make sure you go with whatever they say because if you don't they will do whatever they want anyways or they might just cancel your wedding for the hell of it. -
