The Historic Kallet Theater on the River Reviews

I had the pleasure of not only seeing one of my best friends have her wedding there but also being her maid of honor. The venue was gorgeous and perfect for any fall wedding with the river making a breathtaking backdrop for all photo wants and needs. The staff was a great help in addressing not only all our needs but every little request. The reception was breathtaking with every wall draped in fabric and just the right amount of soft lighting, lanterns were hung from the ceiling, and the table settings were just right for the wedding if the brides dream. For dinner everything was lit with a soft warm yellow light but once the party was ready to begin the lights were right there to set a new tone for the space and get everyone on their feet. As someone who has grown up in the area the Kallet is truly an amazing place that has brought much to the community and has certainly played a part in creating life long memories.

We had our daughter's 8th birthday party at the Kallet Theater in October 2016. We had a movie themed party where each child received a movie admission, a small popcorn, soda with a refill, a box of candy and 2 slices of pizza. The theater is beautiful and very clean, also the staff was extremely helpful. I would definitely recommend the Kallet for birthday parties and even weddings. Thank you for making my daughter's birthday a success!

Carl was great! He covered items that we didn't even think of in our meeting. He was able to make all the events during the wedding flow perfectly. He was able to deal with real time changes flawlessly. I would highly recommend him.

The new Kallet manager Carl is TOP NOTCH! He will go out of his way to make your dreams a reality. I unfortunately did not have that much time to work with him because he just came on board with the Kallet a month or so prior to our wedding. Even with the little amount of time we had he went above and beyond to accommodate us and add many of his special touches. He is also the best calligrapher! One of the many special touches that he was able to add last minute, that was really nice to have the option to do. They have done so many upgrades to the facility, including an amazing lighting package! We added that on last minute and it made the space, as Carl would say, "not just a place to be, but a place you WANT to be in". It was exactly what we needed to make our wedding perfect. They took my visions and they were everything I hoped they would be! Thank you Carl and your team for all the hard work and making such a stress free day for us!

The Kallet Theater was a beautiful, unique, and gorgeous venue that we used for our wedding. I feel it was a good value and they took care of us from start to finish. The set up in the theater is just perfect! All of our guests thoroughly enjoyed themselves. There was no detail overlooked and any request we made was attended to. I am thrilled with the outcome of using the Kallet Theater and would highly recommend it to anyone! Thank you for making our day so perfect and memorable. Also the marquee was such a cool addition as were the popcorn favors!

The Kallet Theater is a beautiful place for an event. It is spacious, clean, and a unique venue. The staff was always available and willing to do whatever we needed to make the event a success. They also had the foresight to care for needs before we even knew they were needs. We were treated very well and look forward to planning future events at the Kallet.

They are flexible, let them know exactly what you are looking for they seemed very willing to work with us to meet our needs. This was our annual dinner and the venue worked out perfectly.

My daughter and her husband had their wedding ceremony and reception at the Kallet. Everyone we worked with at the Kallet were extremely helpful and professional. The theater is an absolutely beautiful venue. It worked well having the ceremony up on the stage. Every guest had a great seat and could see the entire ceremony. We had over 200 guests at the wedding and we had plenty of room to move through out the theater. The staff quickly changed the set up (by adding a front table on stage, removing a few tables for the dance floor etc) from ceremony to reception with out interrupting the flow of the evening. The staff was extremely flexible with a few minor changes through out the day, they always confirmed the changes with myself or my daughter.

We chose the Kallet Theater for our out-of-town wedding for a number of reasons: The unique vibe of the site, the location on a beautiful river, and the ability to decorate and make it into exactly what we wanted. We live in Las Vegas, but chose to get married in Pulaski. Our families couldn't travel easily to Las Vegas, so we brought Las Vegas to them with a Vegas-themed wedding at the Kallet. We were so happy with how everything turned out, and we'd definitely recommend the venue and the staff for a great event, especially if you want something with a bit of personality.

If you want an out of the box kind of wedding or reception, this is the place. Fun, funky and fantastic!

The event coordinator was fantastic, such a pleasure to work with. The venue was gorgeous. The staff was very professional and on top of things .Completely satisfied with everything here.

We are having our reception at the Kallet (as well as using it as our inclement weather plan for the big day), the even coordinator is extremely professional and well versed on everything you could ever think of wedding related. He is exceptionally personable and easy to work with. They have an amazing building which was renovated from ruin basically and now is the perfect place for us. As of now they offer exclusivity the day of your event, we plan on using the morning setting up and decorating the theater and due to them keeping us as the only event that day it has aided in making coordination with other vendors a breeze. They have a top of the line audio/video setup and are very accommodating in making our lighting vision a reality. We are very excited to see the finished product and how the Kallet makes our vision at the reception a reality!

The Kallet Theater is a one of a kind wedding venue. No where else can you find a beautiful venue with excellent staff. The theater offered tables, chairs, linens, a caterer recommendation (Dominick's in Syracuse, who they work closely with), a bar, and EXCELLENT SERVICE; have I mentioned how awesome the staff and service were there!? Steven, the theater manager and our officiant, was available via phone, email, and in person. Steven offered us a custom ceremony and helped us add in parts that represented "us".

We had our rehearsal dinner at the theater, where the staff had the tables and chairs set up and were working on the lighting and sound for our big day. We were able to eat upstairs at the bar, come down stairs and set up, and then rehearse. Steven and Jessica helped create a beautiful wedding march to our processional song, which they timed perfectly. On our wedding day we knew exactly what to do because Steven and Jessica had set everything up and practiced with us the night before. Our wedding went so smoothly - with perfect sound, light, food, service, and people. Steven even performed a special champagne toast with sabering of the champagne bottle! We couldn't have asked for, or found, a better place and our guests had nothing but wonderful remarks about the venue as well. As if our rehearsal dinner and wedding day weren't perfect enough, the next day we opened all of our cards and gifts and the Kallet staff had slipped in a card with their well wishes and pictures of them from the photo booth into our card box (needless to say I cried).

I would highly recommend the Kallet Theater to anybody looking for a perfect wedding venue with friendly, easy to work with staff. Also, if you are looking for an officiant, I would recommend Steven as he is professional, well spoken, well dressed, and is willing to work with whatever your views and wishes are.

The Kallet Theater was the perfect location for our wedding. Steve, the theater manager, went above and beyond, making sure the whole event went smoothly. Even when I left the table numbers at home, the crew stepped up to resolve the problem within minutes !! The location is picturesque; located right on the river, it was perfect for pictures and out door entertainment. I would recommend this location for anyone looking for a stunningly unique venue.

Steven at the Kallet was a godsend! We have an annual awards ceremony, and wanted to make it into more of a gala. Steven was so accommodating and helpful from the first planning through the very end of the event. The Kallet is a beautiful space with lots of flexibility, and the caterer they work with created a specialized menu for us based on our limited price range. People left the event raving about the elegance of the night, and smoothness of the production. While I won't be the one organizing the event next year, I have no doubt we will be returning to the Kallet!

In all actuality, Steve York and the everyone involved with the night at the Kallet Theater went above and beyond what was expected.
Steve worked with me even when I believed the evening might have been a "lost cause". He assisted us in every aspect.
I and everyone who attended from MGCCCNY, the MIata Club, Porsche club had a great night.
The dinner was excellent, the food preparation and service was excellent.
The dessert was not expected and very appreciated, along with being delicious.
Being able to run the movie during the dinner, and provide and "old" movie with ties to the basics of the clubs was an enormous benefit.
We will set up another dinner and movie night and I hope that the other clubs that were represented will get the "idea" to do the same.

We used the Kallet for a performance of our touring show. Steven, Ola and the staff were great to work with and addressed all our needs quickly and professionally.

The night was a great success and we look forward to using this venue again on a regular basis. All of our team members and guests were very impressed with the Kallet Theater, the service and the conference room .

My sister and I presented a recital at the Kallet Theater in Pulaski, NY. Not only were they extremely helpful and generous with their time and resources, but they went above and beyond to help make the event comfortable for us and our guests. They were extremely quick in their response times and knowledgable about recording, sound amplification, and stage etiquette. They knew what we needed, before even we did! I would use the Kallet for any event in the future and encourage anyone looking for a formal space for anything!

My now-husband and I had a few things in mind when selecting a wedding venue: a) Space for the ceremony and reception in the same building, b) room for a LARGE dance floor, c) Majority indoor space, and d) something non-traditional and offbeat. The newly-renovated Kallet Theater is all of those in spades, from the stage-side ceremony to the massive dance floor rented for our occasion, and the lovely deck overlooking the river outside in case of good weather. The house floor worked perfectly for our 50-ish guests to eat, drink, mingle, and dance, and the classy upstairs bar was perfect for cocktail hour. The space is very customizable, and can accommodate many different event styles and sizes.
It saddens me to hear that Steve York, the event planner and all-around go-to man for questions and requests, is leaving the Theater to pursue other projects, though I wish him the best of luck in his new endeavors. He was enthusiastic, more than competent, and a wonderful resource in utilizing all that the Kallet Theater had to offer. Still, his staff was also incredibly helpful, and I am sure the Kallet will remain a wonderful, quirky location to say 'I do.'

When we booked the Kallet we loved it. It was gorgeous inside everything was amazing for our vision. I was nervous because it was a large space to decorate. It was not until the Kallet hired Carl on as there manager that I became less nervous. Carl was phenomenal. He took all of my ideas and visions and made them happen. The lighting package is an absolute must! It truly does change your space and brings the entire event to it's full potential. Carl was usually very quick to get back to me when he was contacted, he was very busy so there were a couple of times I had to wait, but I always knew he would respond and he would have good news. There were some issues we had where we were told we would have one thing but then never actually had follow through. I believe that this was not done on purpose and that it was all just related to Carl being extremely busy. We never bothered to complain or say anything because overall everything was perfect. Truly an amazing venue with amazing staff and trust me if Carl can do it for you, he will. AMAZING!

The venue was perfect. The students raved about the location and everything that happened on Prom.
