We simply cannot say enough amazing things about this venue! Michele, our coordinator, was incredible. As soon as we met her we knew she would be the reliable person we could entrust with our special day. She was straight forward, detail oriented, and was always easy to reach. She made sure that everything was exactly to our liking and was so flexible with the changes we made. The owner was incredibly kind, honest, and truly wants all of the people getting married there to simply have the best day. The staff was incredibly friendly to both the wedding party and the guests. Not to mention, the food was delicious! (Our guests were literally raving about the braised beef, steak and cheese egg rolls and the buffalo chicken wontons!) I truly could not have asked for a better experience than what I had with Jones River Trading Post, and especially with Michele who coordinates the events. From the very beginning, she was an absolute dream to work with. Her communication was top notch, and she always made me feel completely supported and confident in every decision.

Any worries or stress I had, Michele immediately calmed. She truly thinks of everything, which allowed me to fully relax and just focus on enjoying my wedding day. Because of her, everything ran so smoothly and seamlessly. I never had to worry about a single thing.

I honestly cannot imagine my wedding without Michele. She was such a huge part of what made the day so perfect. I am endlessly grateful for her and cannot recommend Jones River Trading Post and Michele highly enough.

We planned our wedding in less than five months, and Michele and the team at Jones River Trading Post, made this so easy! The space is beautiful, indoors and out; the food is delicious; the staff is friendly and competent. Michele, the venue coordinator, is awesome! She made sure that every detail of our event was tended to— leading up to and during all parts of the wedding and reception. She even seemed to be having fun while doing all of it! We literally worried about nothing. On top of everything else, Jones River Trading Post was affordable. We can’t recommend them enough!

My husband and I were married at Jones River Trading this past October, and it was a truly wonderful experience overall. In the final weeks leading up to our wedding, Michele was very attentive, responsive, and helpful in ensuring everything came together smoothly. The food was absolutely delicious, and many of our guests commented on how much they enjoyed it.

The venue itself is stunning—full of charm, character, and history. The indoor space, in particular, created such a warm and inviting atmosphere with so much to take in. We were also pleased with how affordable everything was for the quality and experience we received. It was the perfect setting for our special day, and we’re so glad we chose Jones River Trading.

It's been a little over a month since our wedding and I'm still not over it. Jones River Trading, the staff, the food, the atmosphere- were all so incredible and exactly what we were hoping it would be!
The venue itself is amazing. It's huge and gives guests plenty of space to be comfortable. The ceremony area gets set so beautifully; the mix of guests on the deck and on the lawn was a cool touch that I loved! The dance floor is massive and beautiful, the bar from Dublin is insane, the suite in the back is huge and perfect for the bridal party to leave their belongings and the subtle decor/houseplants throughout makes this place feel so cozy.
The staff was also incredible. Mark was easy to talk to with leading up to our date, answering questions and scheduling walkthroughs, and Michele, our coordinator, deserves an award. She was so incredible to have present. She truly made our day so seamless and stressless because she put so much effort into making everything perfect. From rehearsal to the ceremony to the reception, absolute perfection. Michele was my right hand throughout the day which is something that is not really common with venue coordinators, but something I appreciated so much. The decor I brought was set up with zero question or hesitation, she nailed our memory wall without even asking who was who... Michele also joined us during our sunset photos and literally had traffic stopped for us!! The photos are unreal. At the end of the night, Michele allowed us to leave to enjoy the rest of the night with our guests and we went returned the next morning to collect our belongings. She was so accommodating, helpful and caring throughout the entire day/night. I'd be lying if I said I don't keep in contact with her still!!
The food was incredibly delicious and the portions were huge! We opted for the short ribs and Statler chicken and our guests are still talking about their meals and how good they were! This was very important to us going into this, so we are VERY happy with the food selections, presentations and taste!
Long story short- this venue is so amazing, and I would have my wedding here again and again if I could. We had such an amazing experience with staff who truly care about the couples and their guests. I have not a single complaint about booking here!

We had an amazing wedding at Jones River with Plymouth Bay Catering, and it was perfect! Our coordinator, Michele, was amazing. She made the space look stunning with our decor and kept everything running smoothly. She went above and beyond, answering texts beforehand with any question we had, and made us feel so happy and calm on our day. She balanced keeping us on schedule without ever making us feel pressured, so we could truly enjoy each moment. She was organized, easy to work with, and even made sure we got to eat dinner while we were busy mingling. Couldn’t have asked for a better experience!

The Jones River Trading Post was absolutely amazing and we could not have been happier with our choice. From the time I first met with Mark to plan out the details, until the actual day of the wedding, communication was responsive and stress-free. The venue was stunning and exactly what we had hoped for. I loved this venue so much, it was the first and only venue I looked at after getting engaged! I loved having the option for both an indoor and outdoor ceremony, especially when it rained on my September wedding day! The food was amazing! Michele was the best coordinator I could have ever asked for especially coordinating my crazy bridal party. Michele kept checking in to make sure we were taken care of and brought my vision to life better than I could have imagined! The staff set everything up before my arrival and packed everything up before the end up of the night for me making sure I was truly able to enjoy my whole day/night!

Thank you Michelle (wedding coordinator) for making our special day nothing less than spectacular! Jones River Trading Post's attention to detail, from the catering (buffet), meal options were wonderful. My guests loves the presentation, your impeccable service from the appetizer offerings throughout the cocktail and photo shoot time to keeping the food warm until all ate. Michelle accepted all my texts and calls as I planned my wedding from San Diego! To top it off we had beautiful weather on 9/22/23! Highly recommend this venue- a nautical themed setting which fit right in for the Navy bride, groom and guests! what a hit

We got married here on 7/29/23 and our day was perfect! Michele our day of coordinator was a godsend and gave us piece of mind and had everything run smoothly.There was a storm supposed to happen during the ceremony but I was really wanting it to be outside so they waited until 30 minutes before to set up outside to make sure we wouldn’t get rained out. Also even with severe weather and a tornado happening later in the night everything ran smoothly and didn’t affect anything. We did the station party for dinner, and the chocolate fountain for dessert, and it was a big hit for our guests. We got compliments through out the night on how good the food was and how beautiful the venue was with the lighting and decorations. The staff was extremely helpful and had great dance moves as well. One of the servers was also a seamstress and helped me with my bustle multiple times. As I was planning the wedding I had lots of questions and the staff was very helpful and answered all of my questions no matter how small and made great suggestions. For how expensive weddings are especially in New England I feel like we were able to stay in our budget. The venue doesn’t need much decoration with how beautiful and eclectic it is. Our day was perfect and I would recommend it to anyone planning an event or wedding.

The Best trio around to make your wedding seamless! We had Chris most of the time up to the day of our wedding (stupid covid!) But Michele Stepped in for the weekend and made the rehearsal/ wedding weekend better than I could ever imagined! She is so talented! Thank you again to all and extra thank you to Michele for making our wedding so memorable!

My wife Ally and I got married at Jones River in July of this year. Getting married here was a truly great decision. The staff at Jones river was extremely friendly, accommodating, and helpful with every question and concern we had. In the planning stages, Chris walked us through details and made us feel comfortable with understanding our selections. Michelle's coordination and attention to detail was outstanding. Leading up to the day and during the wedding, Michelle made sure that we had everything we needed and were where we supposed to be at every step of the way. We highly recommend this venue as the staff is a true reflection of the beautiful atmosphere the Trading Post provides.

This is the most amazing venue! We were really looking for something budget friendly as we did not want to go into debt over our wedding. We also wanted a venue that had a lot of character to it. This was the perfect place. All night people were complementing our venue and saying how unique it was! Chris and Michele along with Mark are fabulous staff to work with. They take away every single worry that you could possibly think of. I was definitely a very annoying bride constantly texting them questions but they never made me feel ridiculous and always gave me clear answers! Get married here! You will not regret it.

Choosing Jones River was seriously the best decision my husband and I made when planning our wedding day. The venue is spacious yet charming and cozy, has the most gorgeous dark wood floors, tall ceilings and natural sunlight that together make all pictures come out amazing. And Plymouth Bay Catering food options were perfect -- so many great options to choose from and completely delicious. My guests are still raving about the venue and food. But the best part of the Jones River experience is 100% the wedding coordination team -- Mark, Michele, and Chris. I worked most closely with Michele and was seriously impressed with her down-to-earth, honest and incredibly smart/wise wedding expertise. She was so accessible, helped me to troubleshoot and get everything in order from seating to decorations to food and drink well ahead of my big day. With Michele in my corner I never felt overwhelmed and that's saying something coming from a bride!! Thanks to Michele and the Jones River team for everything, I would work with you guys 1,000 times over!

When my husband and I first went to look at the Jones River Trading Post, we absolutely fell in love with the rustic, beautiful feel of the venue; It was exactly what we were looking for and affordable. Michelle, Chris, and Mark were extremely helpful and answered any questions we had along the way, and even gave us ideas we hadn’t thought of. We had to push our wedding date to the following year due to the pandemic, and they were understanding and super easy to work with. Michelle went above and beyond making us feel happy and comfortable at all times. Every bride has nerves on their wedding day, but she relieved any bit of stress and anxiety for me. The venue itself was beautiful, as they did a great job setting up, and the food was amazing as well! I cannot say enough about how much we love this place, and how lucky we are to have chosen the Jones River Trading Post as our venue. Our wedding day was perfect!

Words cannot explain how truly grateful I am. We got married 10-6-19 and it was like Michele had been by my side planning the whole thing. The room was set up exactly as I imagined, she was so pleasant and easy to work with. She kept the whole day running smooth. Marc and Chris were super easy to communicate with leading up to our day too. I can’t say enough, if you’re considering using this venue you will not be disappointed. ❤️

We had a great experience working with Jones River Trading! Really informative meetings months prior. We loved our day of coordinator, Christopher! He set up the room exactly matching my vision! He answered all of my week of questions and completely set us at ease at the rehearsal. He helped everything run smoothly and followed our timeline for the day. We got so many compliments on the decor, but most of it was just the eclectic decor that comes with this beautiful venue. The food was amazing too!

The venue and food were incredible. It rained an hour before our ceremony and Chris didn’t even think about letting me stress out about it. The storm passed, everything was moved outside, and the day went on as planned without a hitch. The venue was gorgeous and exactly what we were looking for. The absolute perfect hidden gem venue.

I cannot speak higher of Michelle and everyone at Jones River. Our wedding was held in the hottest day of the year, July 20th. Last minute we moved inside and she was so amazing to make sure the venue didn't lose any of the charm we loved about it so much. Everything was perfect - the lighting, the food, the employees.... everything. It is easy to see why so many people choose this venue for their wedding having chose it myself. Michelle was super easy and responsive to work with. If you are looking for a venue that won't break the bank, and will look amazing in photography - look no further.

From the beginning we knew this was going to be our venue. The beautiful backdrop with a flowing river and willow tree and nature surrounding us as we pledged our love to each other. Our day of coordinator, Michelle, was absolutely amazing! She took all my worries away and ensured me that she had everything under control. You couldn’t ask for a better listener, problem solver, and down right - great person! I can’t say enough of how beautiful the venue looked... it was MAGICAL!!! We decided on appetizers and stations for our meal. The food was phenomenal! Guests were so impressed and still talking about it! I highly recommend this venue!!! We had our wedding here last weekend and everything turned out perfect! Michele was awesome to work with. Right when I met her my stress level went down and I knew she would have it under control. She answered all my questions leading up to the day of and made us feel very comfortable about our decision to choose this venue. The waitstaff were so friendly and helpful. When my wife and I first walked into the Jones River Trading Post while looking at wedding venues we immediately loved its unique character and cozy atmosphere. We couldn’t be happier in choosing this space for our ceremony and reception. The staff was very helpful throughout the entire process leading up to our wedding day and had great recommendations for outside vendors. The number of food choices and customizable catering packages was awesome. We felt we could do things exactly how we wanted and JRT would be able to deliver, and they definitely did! They will go above and beyond to make sure you’ll be happy with your event. Michele was our coordinator did such a great job making sure everything went smoothly and everyone was taken care of. Can’t recommend this place enough!

Jones River Trading was the BEST venue we could have imagined. First, it is a really unique space with high ceilings, lots of natural light, and antique touches. Also, the owner, Mark, and coordinator, Mary, are extremely flexible, honest, affordable, and try to help you make cost effective choices. We ended up doing their package and it saved us so much time, money, and stress. They are also super easy to work with and Mary was extremely helpful and kind throughout the whole process - she really works with you. They let us borrow props and helped us rent benches for the ceremony. The day of our wedding, Mary went above and beyond making sure everything ran smoothly and timing us throughout the day. Our guests raved about how incredible the space and food was (the food is seriously delicious). I can’t say enough good things about them. Thanks so much for giving us an amazing day!

My daughter was married at the Jones River Trading Post this past Aug. 19.
It was a perfect day and our guests all raved about the friendly wait staff and the delicious food and the beautiful venue as well!! My husband and I agree with them all!!
From our very first meeting with Mark we were impressed with the professional and courteous manner with which we were treated as well as all of the helpful hints and suggestions he offered us. Our wedding coordinator Mary was extremely helpful in helping my daughter plan this wedding from a distance and walked us through every step of the day on the actual day of the wedding, answering our questions and calming our nerves. The staff put out all of our decorations perfectly which saved us so much time that very exciting but nerve-wracking morning.

The vendors with the champagne package were wonderful as well and made the job of coordinating our long distance plans between my daughter and her fiance who were in Wisconsin with all of the possibilities and nuances of planning a wedding here in Massachusetts!
Everything was just as we all imagined it...and even better than we imagined it could be!
We wouldn't hesitate to recommend The Jones River Trading Post to our friends and family for any special occasion . It was PERFECT.

Five stars is not enough to rate the quality business that is the Jones River Trading Post. Our wedding day was nothing short of perfect thanks to all of the hard working staff that pulled every last detail together. Mary was absolutely phenomenal as our coordinator and even when it was raining out, went along with our wish to have or ceremony outside! Lucky for us, the rain stopped and the sun broke through just in time for the ceremony and some quick pictures before pouring down again! Everyone we worked with was fantastic and incredibly helpful with all of our questions. Our guests have been raving about our wedding saying it was the best they have ever been to! Plymouth Bay Catering did incredible with the food and all of the vendors through the champagne package were top notch. We wish we could do it all again and again! My wife and I had our wedding here on 5/12/2018. The Jones River staff is amazing. They made our day a stress free and fun! I would like to say thanks to all of our servers, Rachel, Emma, Cheryl, Molly, and Jessica. Also, thank you to Chris and Stephanie for serving the great drinks at the bar. A very special thank you to our coordintor Michelle. Michelle is meticulous with her attention to detail and her natural ability to be so accommodating. She is amazing! I need to also thank Kerri and Mark for the beautiful and kind gesture that made our day. If you want a venue where the staff is professional, kind, and truly cares, look no further. At the end of the night, all of the folks at Jones River became like our family.

I CANNOT STRESS HOW INCREDIBLE OUR WEDDING AT JONES RIVER TRADING WAS. Dealing with Jones River Trading and Plymouth Bay Catering was as simple and easy as can be. These folks know what they're doing. If you called with any question, they would answer it. My husband and I dealt with Mark, the catering manager, until the week of our wedding when we spoke with Mary, our wedding coordinator. She was a saint and the utmost professional. She took any stress that we had away and just told us to breathe, enjoy the moment, and keep it simple. Unlike other weddings we had been a part of, everything on the day of felt organized, coordinated, and easy. The staff at Plymouth Bay Catering are a MACHINE. They are so professional and I can't say enough wonderful things. The venue is GORGEOUS, accommodating, and most of all, affordable. We received hundreds of compliments on the venue and especially the food, with many saying it 'was far too good to be wedding food'. It was true! Everything, from top to bottom, was phenomenal. I highly recommend working with these folks and enjoying any event at Jones River Trading.

I just had my wedding at The Jones River and my husband and I could not have been happier! The atmosphere of the venue is absolutely breath taking, the way they set up and accommodated all of my own decorations for the wedding was stunning. The food was to die for, they completely knocked it out of the park! My guests were extremely happy with everything! Mary was the most amazing coordinator. She was so easy to work with and always willing to help with any question I had. If I could relive the night I would in a heartbeat! Everything about The Jones River was amazing, the venue, the wedding package they offer, the wait staff, the coordinators. I just can't say enough good things! We had our wedding at Jones River Trading on October 28th. A friend told me about it when I got engaged, and we went to check it out. It was the first and only venue we looked at. We knew immediately that it was the right place. We lucked out with perfect weather and were able to have the ceremony out back. It's really a beautiful spot. Mark, Mary and Michelle were great to work with. Mark helped us with our menu, and helped save us money wherever he could. We opted for the Smokehouse Buffet, and it was delicious! We got tons of compliments on the food, which was done by their exclusive caterer, Plymouth Bay Catering Company. Mary and Michelle were the wedding coordinators, and they were awesome! They helped with the rehearsal, the ceremony and the reception. I had an extremely large wedding party and they did a great job getting everyone organized and in the right spot. We had a number of things to bring home with us after the wedding, but were staying in a hotel didn't have a car to transport everything. Michelle was kind enough to meet us back at Jones River the following day (her day off) so that we could pack the stuff up. We had a perfect day.

We cannot say enough about how wonderful Jones River Trading Post is. We got married there 9 days ago and had the absolute best time ever! We wish we could start all over and relive it. All the staff was incredibly helpful, and was so amazing with time management. In an instance, they were able to change the ceremony from outside to inside because of sudden rainfall. The ceremony was just as beautiful inside as out. The food, incredible! We had the smokehouse buffet and people still can’t stop talking about it.
The decor was amazing. The Hall was so spacious, and the bar unbelievably unique.
My nieces who were in our wedding, want us to get married again so they can go back. When you’re impressing children, you know they’re doing something right.
The venue fit my husband and I’s vintage love and nautical theme as well, but also had a rustic feel. Everyone kept saying how “us” it was.
We have to ESPECIALLY thank Michelle, our coordinator. My husband and I, along with the rest of my family, Loved her! She was amazing during phone calls, our rehearsal and the day of. We felt a special bond with her and we’ll always remember her. She put us all at ease and was literally the sweetest person we’ve met. She understood our vision and reservations (we’re a little shy) and she was sure to listen and have our ceremony and reception go smoothly. Thank you so much Michelle! We were honored to have you be a part Of our day.
So in conclusion, get married at Jones River Trading Post. You will not regret it!

All I can say is AMAZING! My wedding was on 9/3/17 and not only did I love it, but all of our guests did as well. The food was the best I have ever had at a wedding. Our wedding day coordinator, Michelle, was so accommodating, and literally took care of everything!!! The prices are VERY affordable, and I feel that I received more than what I paid for. The service was outstanding. The venue itself was gorgeous. It did rain on the day of my wedding, but the ceremony inside was beautiful. If you are thinking about booking this venue do it now!!!

I am SO happy that I had my September wedding at the Jones River Trading. From the minute my husband and I walked in to tour the venue we knew we would book it. The venue is so unique and beautiful. You really have to see it for yourself- the pictures barely do it justice. It is such a hidden gem. I loved the outdoor ceremony space where you can get married under a beautiful willow-type tree. We had so many compliments about the venue as well as the food by Plymouth Bay Catering. The prices are so reasonable for the area which is definitely a plus. They’re very flexible with menu options as well. The only thing that was kinda hard planning-wise was that you’re not assigned your day-of coordinator until the week of the wedding; obviously if you have questions before that you can call/email but you kinda just have to trust that your coordinator will be amazing and helpful. BELIEVE ME he was… we had Chris and I cannot say enough amazing things about him. He was so organized and professional but also really laidback and flexible. Literally everything went perfectly that day thanks to him.

As many brides say I barely even ate at my own wedding, and you’re so busy you don’t really get to sit back and relax. So I’m hoping someone else I know will get married at the Jones River Trading so I can enjoy all the food and spend time looking at all the antiques and decorations the venue is filled with.

From start to finish the folks at Jones River were a pleasure to work with. The venue is so unique and our guests were commenting all night what an amazing space it was. Outside is great for photos with the river and mill in back. Chris was my day of wedding coordinator and was fantastic! He kept the night moving and told us where to be and when. He set the room up exactly as I wanted it. The food was also fantastic and we got compliments on it all night. I would recommend the Jones River Trading to everyone.

Our wedding day was PERFECT!
Not only is this an absolutly beautiful venue, but it is unique and has a TON of character. Our ceremony and reception were both held indoors at this location and if the weather was warmer we would've loved to take advantage of their outdoor ceremony area, but October doesn't always cooperate. I am a bit of a control freak and I can NOT say enough wonderful things about our coordinater Michelle. Her and her team put me at ease, did an amazing job with set up, and kept the whole evening moving smoothly and on schedual. We had a large bridal party (16) and a decent sized wedding (130), I know organization can be tough, she NAILED IT!!
Our family and friends had SO many compliments, such as best wedding food for starters! We had a smoke house buffet that had all the comfort foods we all love. It is always nice to hear good feedback from your BIG day and we had nothing but.

My ceremony and reception was held at The Jones River Trading, in Kingston Ma. The venue is beautiful and I loved every part of it. We did the ceremony outside by the river and this large tree at 2:30 pm. The food was done by their cater Plymouth Bay Catering. The food was beyond amazing. All of our guest said this was the best wedding food they have ever had. We had a “station/bar” set up, we offered a carving station with a beef and pork tenderloin, a pasta par with 3 different kinds of pasta, a mashed potato bar (my favorite and it was served in martini glasses) and a raw bar. We had an assortment of passed hors d'oeuvre, cheese and crackers and fruit and veggie station.

My husband and I had our ceremony and reception there on April 16, 2016 and it couldn't have been a more perfect day. From the planning process with Mary, up until the end of the evening, everything was so seamless and amazing. The venue itself is gorgeous, and you don't even need to add any additional decorations. Plymouth Bay Catering did a phenomenal job with the food. We did the smoked meats buffet. Our guests are still commenting on how delicious the food was and how beautiful the venue is; they were so impressed! We got the package that included all vendors except photography and videography, and when we wanted to do our own invitations and forgo the limo transportation, it was no problem at all, we were credited the cost into the final total. They were so easy to work with. Having the package took away so much of the stress, it was a godsend. All the vendors were easy to work with: Judy at Piece of Cake Bakery, Dan from Kingston Florist, DJ Scott Ripatrazone- so awesome. JRT also worked well with my photographer and videographer.

Finally, I have to show special recognition to our wedding coordinator Mary. Not only was she incredibly helpful throughout the whole planning process, she made the day of the wedding the most stress free, special day by just being amazing at what she does. She is such a pro, and not once did I feel overwhelmed because she made sure I didn't have to worry about a thing on the day of the wedding.She was always available, and so organized! She and her team took care of everything including the set up and breakdown of all my additional decorations. They made sure the wedding party had appetizers while we were getting pictures and brought us drinks. EXCEPTIONAL service.

I 100% recommend Jones River Trading. They are also shockingly budget friendly. The value is top notch. There aren't enough ways to thank them for such a spectacular job well done and a wonderfully memorable, special wedding day!

My husband and I had our ceremony and reception at the Jones River Trading in September and it was wonderful. Michelle, our day of coordinator, was awesome! She was so helpful and made everything move along so smoothly. We had so many positive comments from our guests - especially about the food! We did the smoke house buffet, and it was a huge hit. This was the only venue we went to see in person and immediately fell in love. The dark wood floors and the boats on the ceiling were the perfect setting for us. There are adorable little nooks for guests to relax, and a huge dance floor for everyone to dance - it was the perfect mix to please every guest. Mark, Michelle, and the whole crew at Jones River Trading and Plymouth Bay Catering (the delicious exclusive caterer) made the planning simple and stress free, and made our wedding day perfect (and we didn't even break the bank!)

We got married in July, with only 3 months to plan. From the moment I stepped foot at Jones River I knew that this is where I had to have my wedding. We just got married October 24th at this truly stunning venue! The cocktail-hour and the appetizers were delicious and beautiful. The dinner was beyond our expectations! Jones River Trading was absolutely fantastic to work with and I highly recommend.

We had the ceremony and reception on site, and they let us arrive early to use the space for photographs. Mary was our coordinator and was highly professional and made everything incredibly easy for us. Not only was everything laid out for us in a very clear way throughout the entire process, but when we wanted to do something different from what was suggested it was not only not a problem, but they went out of their way to make our idea work best for us. For example, we did the package deal that they offer which includes invitations, however we wanted to use our own vendor for that. When we mentioned this they told us right away that they would take the money off of the package total which was intended for invitations so that we could do our invites elsewhere. They EASILY could have just left that pricing on there or waited for us to barter down, but JRT is a no nonsense venue and always quickly moves right towards the option that makes the most sense for the customer.

I don't think my wedding planning could have any less stress free than it was and I give credit in a huge way to JRT for this. Because we did the package deal JRT hooked us up with local vendors (all pricing included in the package) for flowers, cake, DJ, and more if we wanted it. First of all, the vendors also had a no nonsense style work ethic where they were very clear and professional about everything while advising towards the most efficient and cost effective way to go to achieve my goals. Secondly, since they work together regularly through the JRT packages all coordination was seamless and involved zero effort on my part. Aside from them just being really great to work with, they were all very skilled at their professions. We had Judy from Piece of Cake in Plymouth, Dan from Kingston Florist, and DJ Gene from The DJ Experience out of Plymouth.

Mark and the entire Jones River Trading crew are the best around! We have gotten so many compliments on the venue, the food, the staff, and the service. Our bartenders were amazing, the food was described as "a religious experience" and the venue has an indescribable uniqueness and charm. My husband and I could never have chosen a better venue. I have been to many weddings in the past five years, and all of them have come with incredibly hefty price tags. For the quality we received, we should have paid a lot more. Thank you Jones River, you'll forever be our favorite!

We recently had our wedding at this venue, and could not have been happier. Plymouth Bat Catering catered the event, and it was amazing. The venue was exquisite, the food was delicious, the staff was helpful, attentive and very friendly, and the price was very reasonable. We would highly recommend this venue to anyone looking for a beautiful setting for their wedding.

Jones River Trading, and their exclusive caterer Plymouth Bay Catering, provided the perfect setting and service for our reception. They were very responsive to phone calls in the planning stages. The venue is beautifully decorated and has great seating areas right along the dance floor. This is a venue where you can get away without any extra decorating. The food was excellent and they allowed us to make adjustments easily, you aren't stuck to the "official" menu. Overall great value and highly recommended.

I got married at the Jones River Trading back in November, 2014. My guests still say it was one of the best weddings they've ever been to. This place is a hidden gem! When you get married here, you are the ONLY event that is held for that particular day. A lot of places only allow certain time slots and other hold more than one wedding reception at a time at their facilities. It is a gorgeous mill that has been restored right on the Jones River. They have an in house catering company that they work with and his food is absolutely out of this World! I chose to work with them through one of their wedding packages...meaning they connected with my DJ, my florist, my limo driver, my cake lady, helped me pick out my wedding invitations, everything! And every single vendor was amazing!!!! I also was able to work with Mary, their wedding coordinator (and Andrew who is also awesome!). Mary is a class act and an absolute professional. She is there for you from day one and helps you plan the day of your dream. They are extremely flexible with everything and any special request you may have (from a special meal, to setting up large and heavy decor) they will go the ends of the Earth to make it happen. Weddings can be pricey and stressful...But thanks to Jones River Trading, my husband and I had a wedding that people still talk about! We had our wedding at the Jones River Trading company a few weeks ago, and it was great. I loved the building and space, it was set up nicely, and Mary (the wedding coordinator) was incredibly helpful. I didn't realize the value of having someone like her there until the day of our rehearsal.

We had our ceremony indoors and everything was taken care of in terms of moving chairs and tables around. Our guests loved the venue, and we had a very fun wedding there.

We were recently married at Jones River and I must say...not only was the venue absolutely gorgeous but Mary and Mark were truly amazing. They were wonderful to work with and extremely flexible. The food was AMAZING and our guests raved about the uniqueness of the venue. If we could do it all over again, we wouldn't change a single thing. If anyone wants a beautiful wedding with a different feel to it, please contact Jones River. I promise you won't be dissapointed!

They did an absolutely amazing job with my wedding. They are very reasonably priced and so was the caterer they suggested- I wasn't forced into choosing anything I didn't want to. They were very open to all of my ideas & were so accommodating. The space is breathtaking and perfect for a nautical themed wedding because of the gorgeous row boat hanging from the ceiling & the multitude of antique lanterns. Plus the river & waterfall is great for pictures. The Plymouth Bay catering company is the caterer the recommend and they were fantastic as well. Andrew was our wedding coordinator and he went above and beyond his job description to make sure we were happy. The food was amazing! We went with 3 appetizers- my favorite being the mini artisan pizzas which they passed around on wooden pizza paddles. For dinner we had a strawberry summer salad to start followed by the guests choice of stuffed chicken or a half top sirloin- both were delicious & I am still receiving compliments 2 weeks after our wedding.

I cannot begin to tell you what a wonderful experience it was to have had our only daughter’s wedding at Jones River Trading Company. The place looked wonderful, the staff that handled our special day was spectacular, and we could not have asked for anything more!

From the day we first came and peeked in the doors of the facility, only to have Tom let us in and show us around, to the end of Kate and James’ reception last night, everything went beautifully. Meg and Tom were so very nice to deal with, the facility is lovely, and the folks at Plymouth Bay Caterers went way above and beyond our expectations. The food was hot (always a concern of mine) and absolutely delicious!

Mary kept our reception moving and was an absolute delight to work with, from the minute we stepped off the limo-bus until the last guest left the hall. She was professional, friendly, and felt like a member of the wedding party, not just a coordinator. I cannot say enough about how smoothly our reception went with her guidance and oversight. Although not at all intrusive, she seemed to materialize the moment I had a question or a concern, and with her assistance, those questions or concerns were addressed with seemingly little effort on her part. She is a gem, and I cannot help but think our reception ran as smoothly as it did because of her!

This place is whimsical, unique, and VERY AFFORDABLE! We had so much fun here, as did our guests, and wish we could go back! Everyone commented on how unique and beautiful the hall was, along with where we held the ceremony out back. The Jones River Trading is a beautiful, unique event venue. Meg was very easy to work with, and answered all of my questions and emails leading up to the event. The wedding reception was gorgeous, especially with the interior lighting after it got dark outside. There was plenty of room for our 185 guests, and the dance floor was very large, easily accommodating a large amount of people dancing. I was very happy with this venue and would highly recommend it for a wedding reception.

I just had my wedding reception at Jones River on 3/3/12. I absolutely loved it! It was a unique venue and it looked so amazing in the photos. They should update their website, the ones they have don't do it justice. I reccomend that you Google some photo blogs and check out some photos from actual weddings there to get an idea. Plymouth bay catering was great to work with, the food was excellent and the waitstaff were friendly and professional. We had 180 people and I think the room was a great size for our crowd. We had our wedding reception here last weekend and it was great. We are so glad that we picked this venue for our reception. The place is so unique, we got a lot of great pictures. The pictures from outback came out beautiful. The food was amazing, people are still calling to tell us how great it was. Mary was the best, she was supportive and very helpful during our planning and our reception. There was plenty of room and the room looked so nice with our center pieces and decorations. We loved this place and are so happy that we were able to have our reception here!

This place is unique and sets the tone for a wedding. It's nautical but not cheesy. The bar is an Irish antique from Dublin! CHEERS!

The venue is huge. There is a large back area with a bridal suite. We were married on the dance floor, however, out back is a nice deck with a large willow tree and a waterfall in the background.

Our wedding reception at The Jones River Trading was beyond perfect. Meg and her husband were beyond accomodating not only the day of but during the planning process as well. The grounds are well kept and perfect for pictures. We had 130 guests with a buffet and the space suited us well. Lots of room to dance and plenty of places for folks to sit and chat or enjoy the music/dancing. We are still getting compliments on what a great venue it is. A true jem.

My daughter's wedding was last Friday night at Jones River - it was a beautiful night and overall, I was very pleased with the entire event. Everyone enjoyed this unique venue and the eclectic atmosphere - and I received many positive comments about the food. Mark from Plymouth Bay Catering was easy to work with and receptive to changes/specific requests. We were near capacity with 220 guests, so I requested an extra bartender to help with the initial rush for drinks after the ceremony and I would definitely recommend this. Things to note - if you're having your ceremony outside, not everyone will have a seat - some guests will be standing - also, they use plastic cups at the bar - they are nice plastic, but plastic just the same - not a big deal but good to know. I definitely recommend Jones River if you are looking for something different, not the usual country club atmosphere - it was a fun party!

This venue was amazing. It has a very unique atmosphere and feel to it. I liked that it was not a typical ballroom, but had plenty of space. There are neat tables and rooms on the side for people to be around the dance floor who are not into dancing. It definitely kept guests entertained. The couple that owns the venue are great. They were extremely easy to work with, and were helpful and responsive throughout all of the planning. The only thing is they do not have a lot of pictures available there, so if anyone is interested in seeing more pictures of the venue, let me know. Everyone loved the place, and we are still getting many compliments on how interesting and unique it was for a wedding. They work with Plymouth Bay Catering Company only, so you do not have an option to bring in an outside caterer.

We loved having our wedding at the Jones River! My partner and I weren't the most organized people beforehand, but Mary and her team were more than happy to work with us to make sure everything flowed perfectly. I was so impressed by how flexible they were! The venue itself is gorgeous - we had our ceremony outdoors in the most picturesque setting you could ask for, and the reception hall is incredible. The floor begs to be danced on! We received so many compliments on the food and the space - none of which we personally deserved, but instead should go directly to Jones River! I knocked value down a half star because we felt the alcohol to be a bit more expensive than we planned on, but overall this place is an incredible value for the money! Our eternal thanks to the team for making our wedding such an incredible experience!! Highly recommended to anyone looking for a space to do a beautiful, quick ceremony and an elegant but FUN dinner and dance party afterward :)

It is so charming and unique!

Recently got married May 30th! The venue was perfect! From the beautiful interior to the food to the exterior (for pictures). We were so impressed with everything!. The staff was friendly, professional, and always willing to help. Michelle went above and beyond to make sure our wedding day was perfect. She did an amazing job making the entire process easy and non stressful. Highly recommend Michelle, her staff and Jones river! We couldn’t be happier with the outcome! Thank you again!

We got married here 5/25/2019 and had an amazing experience. First, the venue is absolutely gorgeous in a rustic nautical way without being overbearing. It looks unassuming from the outside but is one-of-a-kind both inside and in the ceremony area. Minimal decorations are needed since the venue is already decorated. And, the way the venue lights up at night is enchanting.
There are many different food options depending on if you want a plated dinner, buffet, or stations. We didn't want the typical chicken-steak-fish-vegeterian plated dinner, and were thrilled with the option to have a smokehouse buffet. One downside is that you do not get to try the food before the wedding, but you can eat at the catering company's restaurant (The Charlie Horse Tavern in Kingston, MA) which can give you a preview of what it will be like. They are also very willing to work with you if you have kids or anyone with food allergies, they will go out of their way to prepare separate meals for them (as I discovered with all of our 13 kids, 3 vegetarians, and 1 guest with a serious gluten allergy). My husband (still getting used to that!) and I are foodies and we thought the food was overall ok the day of (some dishes were amazing, others were ok) and it seems like mostly everyone else enjoyed it.
You have an initial planning session with Mark (Catering Manager) at the Charlie Horse Tavern, which is when you pick out your food, napkins, etc. The day of coordinator is not assigned until a week before the wedding, though you can call the Charlie Horse Tavern and leave a message to talk with Mark when he's available if any questions do arise. I did wish that the day of coordinator was assigned earlier given that I had a bunch of questions piled up for the day, however we worked with Michelle as our day of coordinator and she was absolutely fantastic. She was patient with me and the 10-15 questions I had for her during each of our couple phone calls that week, and was extremely helpful. When we were 45 minutes late to our rehearsal because of traffic, she was still patient and didn't make us feel rushed. There were no issues with accommodating the donuts (from Knead Doughnuts in RI!) we brought in and no issues finding room for all the decorations we still did bring in (large framed photo collage of us, doughnut wall, cupcake tower, huge guest board to sign, memorial table pictures, etc.). She was also able to fit 180 chairs outside for the ceremony, which I was very relieved by as I didn't want my guests standing (they have an inventory of 30 chairs, and then a few benches, and then the remainder of guests typically stand - with a wedding our size, I didn't want that so I opted to rent additional chairs). The day of we did not have to worry about a thing because Michelle had everything under control, whether it was to call up tables for the buffet, making sure we had food or a drink in hand, etc. We had a basket of flip flops for the ladies to change into on the dance floor and she even made sure to grab a pair for my mom at the beginning of the night! THANK YOU Michelle & team, you were truly fantastic to work with and made our day go so smooth. We have had multiple people tell us that our wedding was a blast & that it was in the list of the top weddings they have gone to - this couldn't have been accomplished without Michelle, Mark, & the rest of the staff.

My husband and I got married here on 9.2.18 and we could not be happier. The venue is amazing, charming and completely unique. The food was off the charts. Plymouth Bay catering completely delivered and everything was delicious. The staff was professional, friendly and really made our day perfect. Our coordinator for the day was Michelle and she was who I needed on that day. She put me at such ease that I really got to enjoy the day and let her take charge. We put so much time in marking sure our day would be perfect that I was nervous of letting someone else take over but the second I spoke with Michelle I knew I could put the day in her hands and I am so glad I did. I could go on and on about go great this place is but I only have so many characters I can use lol.

After visiting other venues, we knew Jones River Trading would be the one within minutes. Not only is the venue unique and gorgeous, but it's affordable with all the amenities one would expect for a wedding without the need for extra decor. Plus the info pamphlet didn't play games with confusing or hidden pricing as other places do. Mark is a knowledgeable owner who helped us with the (delicious and varied) menu and room layout, and was upfront about costs every step of the way.
Our DOC, Michelle, was absolutely lovely and a joy to work with. She called us a week before the wedding enthusiastically introducing herself and her role, and as soon as she stepped in my stress level went down since we were able to hash out my questions and concerns. At rehearsal we brought in decor/favors in labeled boxes, a list of which items go where, a photo of a centerpiece mock-up, and our timeline (do her a favor and give her these notes, she'll thank you!) and she and her team knocked it out of the park with set-up!! On the big day she was zooming around working her magic, getting us back on time after a small delay and rolling with the punches, plus who knows what else she did that she didn't have me worry about!
Similar to other reviewers, our only issue was communication. Upon meeting, they preferred phone-calls, but the downside is 1. No written record for reference on either side, and email is clearer 2. Every time we called we had to leave a message because the phone is catering/restaurant. Email responses were bare-bones which made me feel like a bother or didn't fully quell my concerns. This is why when we were "assigned" our day-of coordinator a week before I was so thankful since I was able to talk about everything we were unclear or concerned about. Someone suggested hooks for hanging a dress in the bridal suite which would help.
The venue is a true hidden gem and the wedding day was PERFECT, we are so thankful to Jones River for making it possible.

We had our wedding reception at Jones River in September 2015 for about 150 guests. Mary and Mark were absolutely wonderful to work with and were very accommodating to our requests. Our guests raved about the beautiful and unique nautical setting (perfect for our theme) and how delicious the food was. The wait staff and bartenders were wonderful as well. We were on a budget and looked at various venues on the South Shore but didn't want to do the traditional country club wedding. We could not have picked a better venue and our wedding day was perfect. Thanks Mark and Mary and everyone at Plymouth Bay Catering!

Jones River was my first and only choice for a reception venue. Not only is the facility absolutely gorgeous & boutique, but the price is very reasonable. Plymouth Bay Catering is the company that JRT works exclusively for catering - and I only have good things to say about them. The woman who coordinated the event made the experience wonderful and stress-free (which as a bride, is SO important). The food was delicious and the venue is incredible at night.

We just had our wedding at Jones River Trading and what a wonderful place to have a wedding. Working with Mary, the wedding coordinator, made the day flow so nicely. Any questions/issues that came up- Mary was able to handle them. We had our ceremony there and the reception to follow. All of our guest were very impressed with the uniqueness of the venue. The price was right and the food was very good and served hot! The bridge right before the venue is out, which can make directions to the venue a little confusing- but as long as you let your guests know ahead of time you will be able to relay the correct directions to them (GPS guided directions will take people to the wrong side of the bridge)

What an amazing facility! If you are looking for something truly unique, this is the venue for you. Everything was beautiful and this facility is very flexible.

Jones River Trading is so unique and different, it was one of the main reason we booked it for our June 13, 2009 wedding. Meg and Tom are super friendly and are willing to listen to your needs. Jones River has a nice bridal suite room with a bathroom and shower for you and your wedding party. The main bathrooms for the guest are clean and nice looking. And for photos, the outside is perfect. There are a few wicked old tress, that look great in the background, along with a small river or creek. I highly recommend Jones River for your wedding!!

Jones River Trading Company was the beautiful, unique venue we were looking for. From top to bottom, inside and out, the space is filled with gorgeous detail. It’s a little rustic, a little nautical, and very New England. Very little decoration is needed because the venue provides so much!
Everyone is still raving about the food two months later! The clam chowdah, braised beef, macaroni and cheese, and smoked salmon were all to die for.
From getting everyone in place for the rehearsal to setting up our centerpieces and meeting with the bakery, Mark and his team took care of everything!
The space held our 120 guests perfectly with plenty of room on the dance floor.
My only intsy-wintsy-tiny-little complaint would be that this OCD Bride was a little nervous at times. The planners at JRTC have everything so down to a science, I was worried that we didn’t have a whole lot of communication. But the beauty was, they didn’t need it! Everything was done to perfection, no detail was missed.
I would highly recommend JRTC to anyone looking for something a little different in their wedding venue and a quaint, elegant New England feel.

We had our wedding at the Jones River Trading post in December, 2014. We actually had a really hard time finding a venue that would work for us in the winter on Cape Cod (where we were based) and ultimately decided that Jones River would be the best spot for us. The interior is so unique and really inviting. We were planning the wedding from out of town and my husband’s parents had all the in-person dealings with the venue, specifically Mary, the on-site coordinator. She was great at answering all our questions and working with us extensively beforehand to sort out the menu, schedule, decorations, etc. We decided to to a lot of things ourselves and they were perfectly accommodating; for example, we brought pies from our favorite bakery in Woods Hole instead of having wedding cake (and were not charged any sort of fee for that--one of the things we really liked about this venue), my husband’s family made all the centerpieces and Mary’s team helped set them up, and we brought lots of additional materials for our ceremony backdrop and a Photo Booth. Our friends even brought in a 100lb + hand-built chuppah and set it up in the venue. At first I was really sad that we would have to have an indoor wedding (due to our work schedules the wedding had to be in the winter), but once I saw the venue all set up I realized that I couldn’t have dreamt up a warmer, more inviting atmosphere. This venue also has a lot of space that we didn’t utilize for getting ready, etc, but I can see that being valuable for other couples. In addition, we had clear skies so we were able to take some gorgeous photos in the back of the venue on the river, and across the street in the wooded area--the scenery around here is so beautiful. Mary was great about keeping us on schedule the entire evening, and everything went perfectly. Everyone had plenty to eat and our guests were all happy with the food, especially the clam chowder bar. Overall it was an overwhelmingly positive experience!

I had a very positive experience with Jones River Trading for my wedding reception. While I was a little weary that I didn't know who my day of coordinator would be ahead of time, everything ended up working out perfectly. Andrew was my day of coordinator and he went above and beyond. He did a great job decorating the room with my directions, since I wasn't able to get in there to do it myself because of a wedding the night before. On the day of the wedding he was invaluable. He kept the evening running smoothly and kept us abreast of everything during the night. He even sewed a button on a groomsman during a wardrobe malfunction! He kept me calm, even a couple of days before the wedding when I dropped my decor off. Not an easy thing to do with a type-A personality. Thank you, Andrew.

The wait staff, and bartenders were also great. And the food, as you will read from other reviews, was good and hot! The guests raved about the buffalo mac & cheese appetizers. The staff was also attentive and made sure that the bridal party was was fed and served during pictures. I will say that the passed sangria that we offered during cocktail hour was a HUGE hit with the guests, but the glasses were small (like maybe 4 oz.?) and we ended up paying way more for it than we thought we would. Not really the fault of the venue -- I guess our guests are lushes! And it was really good.

Lastly, the venue itself is just a really great place to have a wedding. I was admittedly a little nervous about the "kitschy" decor, but it ended up adding character to the evening. I liked that it wasn't just a ballroom at a country club or hotel. It gave guests things to comment on and look at during cocktail hour!! The dance floor is enormous, the A/C worked fantastically on our 90 degree day, and the bathroom facilities were ample. We received many compliments from guests on the venue. I think Jones River is very quickly becoming a popular wedding venue and I can see why.

I fell in love with the unique atmosphere and eclectic feel of this venue. We did not want a country club wedding and jones river gave us a special way to make our big wedding (170 guests) still feel intimate. The staff was very kind and helpful. I did feel there was a lapse in communication; I was always the person initiating conversations (deadlines, set up, etc.) and there was some confusion with information on the final bill. Other than this detail, our wedding experience was perfect and our guests LOVED the venue just like we did! They offer a unique, no stress, affordable option for your wedding!

Jones River is the ultimate unique wedding venue. We loved it from the second we walked in. With high ceiling and a nautical feel it was perfect for our beach themed reception. The bar is imported from England and even though it looks small, the bar was never too slow. At night, the place is gorgeous and huge. Even though we only had about 100 people, we felt so comfortable. It is very cozy and truly a hidden jewel.

Jones River is the perfect place to get married and then have your reception. Chris was our wedding day coordinator and helped keep the night moving while making sure the Bride and Groom where happy, fed, and drinking.

The facility is beautiful inside and it is such a unique venue. I didn’t want to have my wedding at a country club or function room like everyone else, and that’s why I picked Jones River. The catering company is also great there. The food was delicious and served hot, since it’s prepared there as well. The only complaint I have is that they switched wedding coordinators a few months before my wedding and that wasn’t made clear to me. So for awhile I felt like I didn’t have a wedding coordinator. Mary ended up being my wedding coordinator and she did an awesome job. She made sure everything went smoothly and everything was perfect.

I would recommend The Jones River Company to anyone who is seeking a venue that is a little bit different. It was beautiful! A mix between rustic and romantic. Meg was always willing to help but it was sometimes difficult to get ahold of her.

This venue is absolutely beautiful and so unique! Meg & Tom were pleasant, helpful and very easy to work with. I would highly recommend this venue to anyone looking for something different and off the beaten wedding venue path.

After seeing photos of Jones River I was very impressed and interested in learning more. The menu was extensive and very reasonable so after a walk through of the building with Chris we decided to book. We had our first menu meeting with Mark and had a great experience with him. He gets right to the point and was very honest about what he thought about menu options and what would be unnecessary costs.
Our wedding planner Mary was amazing! We met with her the night before the wedding for our rehearsal. She was very organized and helped to put my mind completely at ease. I had brought items to setup around Jones River and she told me to leave them on the table and she would take care of it. It was a fairly simple gesture but for an already mentally exhausted bride it was such a major help. The night of the wedding she was everywhere and did everything. She coordinated with our DJ and photographer to make sure everything went smoothly. I felt like I could just enjoy the night.

We had our ceremony out back and it was beautiful! I was a little nervous because it was a very dry summer but they did a wonderful job with the landscape! I also wasn't sure how the setup of the guests would be for the ceremony as they provide chair for about 20 guests and the rest stand. I have to say that this was probably one of my favorite parts of the ceremony. It felt so much more personal having everyone so close and all around us.
We went with the smoke house buffet for dinner and it was delicious! There was something for everyone. We had the short ribs, turkey tips, and baked scrod as our mains and mac and cheese and veggies as our sides. Our guests raved about the food. Everything has wonderful flavor and all of the meats were extremely well prepared and tender. They had the smoker out in the parking lot which got a lot of our guests excited about the meal.
Our experience at Jones River was wondering and Mary allowed me to be a stress-free bride!

A wonderful gem of a wedding location! Had our wedding in Sept. 2019. We fell in love with the willow tree and the awesome reception hall (it doesn't feel like every other bland reception hall). First off - Chris was amazing! Totally relaxed, down to earth, and eased the stress of wedding planning. He did such a good job with our wedding decorations, a true professional (we wished we could have dealt with him 100% of the planning process). We're leaving 4 stars only because the experience booking a wedding was a bit rough around the edges. There seems to be a disconnect with the owner and the day-of coordinators (multiple times we got different answers to the same questions, which stressed out one of my vendors). Also, finalizing the details was last minute - they had us wait to do the final food payment the day before, which was a bit hectic as we had all our family from out of town to juggle too. Also, the bar service was slow - and strangely stingy with sangria (I the bride didn't get any sangria at my reception, but yet they still served some guests a "side stash"). For a tip - make sure you have a good plan to clean up at the end of the night, I would have gladly paid an extra 100-200 bucks to have the venue do it for us. But overall, this place is a fantastic deal, a lot of fun, and extremely reasonable for a price.

I LOVED this place. Meg and her husband were so nice and accomodating. They hung out at the wedding all night to see things through, and when my DJ didn't show, they helped us find a replacement. They even accomodated our odd requests, a photobooth! It was a reasonable price and a unique venue. My only issue was the small bar and lack of flexibility with the caterer -- they only allow one. While the catering company delivered amazing food, they were very difficult to work with on the bar and at the wedding, my guests experienced long lines and bad attitudes. This could be a one time only thing, however it didn't go unnoticed.

At the end of the evening, the event coordinator approached my husband and expressed dissatisfaction with the amount of the tip we gave the staff. She then asked if his mother was still present (suggesting she could add to the tip) and then told him we could always "drop off a check at the Charlie Horse" with more tip money. Asking for more tip money at the end of the night on top of what we gave for tip in my opinion is unprofessional, tacky and probably one of the worst memories you could give a new married couple.

The next day we unpacked our top tier of wedding cake - the tier that we were supposed to eat on our one year anniversary- only to find it completely destroyed. In speaking with the venue the day after the wedding they swore that their staff would never do such a thing to the cake and placed blame on the bakery for not providing a box and also the best man (a former wedding caterer server mind you) and brother of the bride who packed up the car at the end of the night.

Leading up to the event was incredibly frustrating as well. About three weeks before the wedding I had not been contacted by anyone. I sent some emails asking questions to finally receive a response from the caterer saying I should call them to set up a "party planning meeting". We had hoped for a little more proactive communication from the venue/caterer given we were paying them $10k+.

Thank you Jones River for giving me life lasting memories of crying on my way back to the hotel after the reception of my own wedding after berating us for not tipping enough.

AWFUL CUSTOMER SERVICE! Yes the venue is decent, outdated but decent- but good luck working with the managers/owners on your wedding. Communication is not there, you cannot reach them directly and have to wait 2-3 days for a phone call back, if they even give you a call back. If you are working with them on a wedding during a global pandemic make it known they are NOT on your side, and you will NOT get any money back even if they cannot legally host your wedding. I do not recommend working with this venue! Go elsewhere where they appreciate your business! We lost thousands!
