Working with Jenny was so easy! We went with a small tier cake and 5 dessert options. There was an extensive list of desserts to choose from, many different flavors of cakes, and she had LOTS of photos on her Instagram of cakes she had done in the past. I was excited to know that she was a Texas Tech Alumni as well and did a fun grooms cake for the hubby.

Everyone talked about how good the cake was especially the grooms cake which was the Cinnamon Swirl Cake flavor. It was absolutely the best! Definitely recommend this flavor. Both cakes were flavorful and moist.

The best wedding cake around!!!
We used The Jenny Layne Bakery for our wedding cake and desserts!
The team was so polite and well organized! We chose the Italian Cream Cake for our cake flavor and the amazing desert bar. The sugar cookies were perfect, the chocolate covered strawberries were divine. The pumpkin pie and banana pudding was delicious. The cake was just as I pictured it. Our family and friends also were a big fan of all the other desserts!

Maybe best cake I’ve ever had
Through the package we had at the Aristide Mansfield, we worked with Jenny Layne Bakery to provide a dessert bar for our reception. Here’s the lineup
1. Wedding Cake - Lemon with Raspberry Filling
2. Grooms Cake - Chocolate with Raspberry Filling
3. Chocolate Hazelnut Fruit Parfait
4. Strawberry Shortcake Parfait
5. Mini Apple Pies
6. Mini Cheesecake Pies (with strawberry sauce on the side)
All of these desserts were a hit with our guests! Absolutely delicious!!
But when I tell you that lemon raspberry cake was maybe the best I’ve ever had, I’m not lying. It was so good that during our first bite, my husband and I both made audible noises and our photographer said we “looked so happy as if this was the first time you’d ever had cake”. That was probably the only thing I made sure I had time to sit down and eat all evening long.
20/10 would recommend.

Jenny has made so many of my families celebrations special but this one is my favorite! She took my vision for my cake and exceeded it! I was so excited when I saw the cake and how detailed it was. The deserts were delicious as well. We got cake pops, lemon bars, and buckeyes. Each their of our cake was a different flavor and filling! It was a magical experience and everyone has said how delicious it was! I could not thank them enough for the experience we had. No hassles and a whole lot of deliciousness!

Best Dallas Wedding Baker!
My now husband and I have the same birthday and I had a very specific wedding cake in mind inspired by MilkBar birthday cake. I spoke with several bakeries and tried many cakes — but none compared to Jenny Layne! She customized her recipe to match our needs and it was beautiful and delicious. I was also lucky enough to be a Bride of Jenny’s. She is so wonderful to work with and a joy to be around! It’s obvious that she puts a lot of love and care into each order. Our experience with Jenny was amazing. We met her at our venue’s open house and instantly fell in love after we tasted the champagne cupcakes that were samples. We set up a tasting at her bakery which was so fun, not to mention all delicious. We booked Jenny Layne Bakery for our wedding cake and the grooms cake which I surprised my husband with. I had sent Jenny a really rough sketch of what I envisioned for his cake and she did 10000x better than I could have imagined! The cooler on his cake was one I had painted him in college - such a creative, special touch that Jenny was able to incorporate. Our wedding cake was champagne cake with a raspberry filling, and the grooms cake was chocolate cake with a hazelnut filling. You literally cannot go wrong! We are so grateful for Jenny & her team for our cakes! Thank you :)

Amazing! I loved it
Jenny has done it AGAIN! Every cake from my high school graduation to my wedding has been done by her and her team. I had a navy cake with gold for my wedding and her creativity is what keeps me coming. I’ve tried a few cake shops but her cakes always win for me! Somehow they aren’t even the most expensive? Halloween Masterpiece
What can I say...we needed help. We couldn't find a dedicated vendor to see our vision for our Halloween wedding and it was getting closer and closer to our date. Wife was out on a trip so i went into jenny layne's shop for a tasting of many things solo. Upon my arrival the shop was well kept and I was catered to very carefully and attentively by Jenny herself. Then we hit it off. She knew right away what i was going for as she herself had a similar themed wedding. We immediately bonded over the ideas and themes and ideas. I was so fortunate to find her. It didnt end there either. We met again with my wife to continue the planning and vision and the dream became a reality. Jenny was JUST WHAT WE NEEDED and her team was stellar. Worked great with our coordinator and made us a faux topper of the amazingly designed cake. The desserts were equally impressive if you are going for a bar theme. I couldn't recommend Jenny and her team more. Pretty much made the wedding.

They did the dessert table for my daughter’s wedding and it was fabulous! The wedding cake was gorgeous and prettier than we even imagined. It had hand painted as well as gum paste flowers that looked so real! The groom’s cake was very personalized with all of the groom’s favorite things and the sculptures on it were a work of art. We also had banana pudding, cake pops, cookies, cheesecake bites and more. Everything was delicious and the guests went on an on about all of it. We have also ordered birthday cakes from this bakery and they were amazing. Jenny and her team are so fun and friendly. They go out of their way to make your special day perfect.

We ordered a 3-tier wedding cake and 2-tier grooms cake for our wedding. From the moment we came into the bakery for the cake tasting to the wedding day, we were absilutely happy about this bakery. They listened to what we wanted and made a scetch of the cake to help us visualize what we were wanting. They worked with us on flavors and recommended what cake to use with certain filings. And the end product did not disappoint! It was exactly what we wanted! Sometimes wedding cakes can taste old sicne the baking time requires the cakes to be baked in advace, but this was was so good and soft and moist! They were so easy to work with. I loved everything about our cakes!

The Perfect Wedding Baker
We got married on May 19th and decided that we weren't really married to the idea of having a big cake and decided that we wanted a dessert table instead. We ordered several different desserts from Jenny Layne and they were all so delicious and our guests absolutely loved them! By the time the party was over, all we had left were lemon bars and our decorative 1-tier cake!
Not just were the desserts delicious, but the price that we paid for the amount of desserts we had was so cheap I honestly thought that I had been misquoted! But that's one of the things I love about Jenny Layne Bakery, there's no upcharge for weddings, just a beautiful flat fee that is perfect for the bride that wants the pinterest perfect dessert spread without paying that pinterest price.

Amazing Gluten-Free Vegan Wedding Cake!
I thought it was going to be challenging to find a wedding cake because I have food allergies to gluten, dairy, and eggs. After doing some research, I came across The Jenny Layne Bakery. After exchanging a few emails, we decided to move forward with scheduling a cake tasting. Usually, gluten-free vegan baked goods can be dense and a bit dry; but not the cake from this bakery! We knew this was the bakery for us after the first bite from our cake tasting! We even had some leftover cake a few days after our tasting and it still tasted moist and flavorful! We selected a layer of chocolate cake with peanut butter filling and a layer of white wedding cake with raspberry filling. Many of our guests were skeptical of eating our cake but after one bite, they couldn’t tell the difference. In fact, many went back for a second piece of cake! If you have food allergies, you can still have an amazing wedding cake from The Jenny Layne Bakery. Highly recommend!!

I had a vague idea what I wanted for the groom’s cake, and they quickly sketched out a perfect Star Wars themed cake that looked even better in person! My cake turned out great as well, and they were very affordable. Both cakes were super tasty. I’m not much of a cake fan, but I had to eat a slice of the almond cake because it was so good! We never met personally with Jenny and her team, as I was planning a Dallas wedding mostly from Houston. But from some sketches and color samples alone, Jenny created the most beautiful (and delicious) cakes we could have ever imagined for our wedding! The wedding cake was multi-tiered and crafted to perfection, down to the last detail, and the groom's cake was perfectly customized exactly as we asked. But none of that matters if the cake doesn't taste good... luckily the cake tasted even better than it looked!! We got so many compliments on how good it was (and questions on who the baker was), and we can't wait to order another for our anniversary! My groom wanted a Legend of Zelda cake and Jenny just threw it out of the park and made it look so great. She was so friendly and so easy to talk to. We went into the meeting not even having a clue what we wanted for cakes, and she took the time to go over several different things we could do. Jenny is very knowledgeable and her work definitely shows her skill. We sampled about 6 different types of cake, icing, and filling flavors and she was so patient as we took our time. We laughed the whole entire time we met with her and could feel her passion towards baking and designing edible art. After we decided on flavors, she took out her colored pencils and drew about 6 different cakes (icing, flowers, ribbons, etc.) to give us a visual of what she could do for us. Her attention to detail is amazing and our cakes were both beautiful and delicious! Our guests could not stop raving about how yummy the cakes were and how awesome the chocolate covered bacon was! She even went and got little figurines and accessories for our grooms cake, and she totally outdid herself! We definitely recommend The Jenny Layne Bakery to anyone and everyone who is looking for delicious and beautiful cakes for any occasion!

Our wedding cake and grooms cake from The Jenny Layne bakery were absolutely amazing. Not only were they gorgeous but they tasted just as good. We had the champagne white cake with raspberry filling for the wedding cake and red velvet with cream cheese for the grooms cake. During our tasting Jenny drew them out and the day of the wedding when she delivered them I was blown away by how well of a job they had done. All of our guests were raving how delicious and gorgeous they were. She even made edible succulents to go on the top. I never had to worry about anything during this process which made my wedding planning easier. Plus Jenny is just the coolest person ever. She goes over and beyond for her clients. Jenny is so so talented!!! She has an incredible reputation for a reason! Every vendor who heard she was doing our wedding cake was like "YES! She is the best!" Her cakes are huge, STUNNING, and absolutely delicious. She is so easy to work with and helped us create a totally unique wedding cake (with 4 tiers, each tier a different flavor) and cool silver foil accents to create a modern minimalist take on a wedding cake!! In our tasting/planning meeting she let us taste all of her flavors and fillings and create whatever combo we wanted. She really listened to what we were envisioning for the cake style and she totally NAILED it! I had never seen what I wanted before so I couldn't' just bring in a photo as an example, so I just had to describe it. She sketched a drawing right there and she totally got it!! Even better, our wedding cake tasted just as amazing as it looked - it was flavorful, moist, and so so delicious!!! The cake was delivered on time in flawless condition! Her pricing is also very reasonable! She is a true professional and literally the best I have ever seen! She totally exceeded our expectations! Thank you so much Jenny!!!

We got engaged and from the start we knew we had to get Jenny and her team to do our cakes. We met with Jenny and had very little idea of the vision our cakes. How do you choose? With a few questions she had helped us imagine something we had not even thought about. The flavor combinations were amazing, and our guests kept going back for second helpings. Our entire experience with Jenny and her team was phenomenal. Jenny is truly an artist not only in baking incredibly tasty cakes but decorating them as well! At our cake tasting we told her our ideas about how we wanted our cakes to look and she immediately pulled out a bucket of colored pencils and started sketching her ideas right there on the spot (we didn't change a single thing from her original sketches because she nailed them on the first try!). You can tell immediately the passion that her and her team has for what they do and her excitement for doing our cakes made us that much more excited! Her cakes are out of this world delicious and our only regret of the night is that we didn't serve ourselves heaping plates of all 4 flavors to enjoy. We can't wait to use Jenny for any and all baked goods needs from here on out!

Jenny provided our wedding cake and our grooms cake. They were both delicious. We really enjoyed the tasting we went to with Jenny. Her pricing was reasonable. She gave us lots of options and she was so sweet. She made it really fun. She also has a few cake stands available for use if you need one. We did a tuxedo cake of vanilla and strawberry with butter cream icing and a strawberry whipped filling. It was delicious. The grooms cake was a double doozie cookie cake. Since my husband is in construction she was able to make a bull dozer out of rice crispy treat to put on top of it and it was really cool! I highly recommend using her for all of your cake needs!

The desserts Jenny Layne provided for our wedding were so good!!! We had our consultation with her and had decided we wanted a dessert table. The more we tried from her bakery, the more we wanted. Every idea she gave us was absolutely delicious and people LOVED it. We also got a small 2 tier cake that was delicious. Exceeded my expectations and couldn't have asked for more. Jenny Layne baked the gorgeous cake for my wedding this month. The cake tasting with delicious, organized, and professional. She made sure to sketch out my vision while we discussed looks and was very accommodating and easy to work with. The finished product was a four tier cake with a crumb coat, and different cake flavors and icing for each tier. It was not only beautiful, but delicious, and we got a lot of compliments. Great cake for a reasonable price!!

I knew Jenny's family growing up, so I knew I was working with someone who I could trust and would do an amazing job - I've followed her blossoming shop via Facebook over the last few years and was excited to finally get to try to use her for my groom's cake after hearing so many positive reviews from friends. I had quite an interesting request - I'm an incredibly picky eater who doesn't like cake, so I wanted a cookie/brownie/marshmallow cake. I tried to get several quotes to compare, but almost everyone no-quote'd me and I was worried I might have to settle for a cake I didn't like, but Jenny came through. Not only did she come through, but the cake was PHENOMENAL. It was unbelievably delicious and unique - everyone was dying to get a slice and the cake disappeared incredibly quickly... (I think most people decided to go back for seconds from my cake and just ditched trying the bridal cake... don't tell the bride) I only wish I could have a slice of that cake for every anniversary. Jenny was responsive, easy to work with, creative, and accommodating with such a strange request. Do yourself the favor of using the Jenny Layne Bakery.

We ordered our wedding cake and the groom's cake from Jenny Layne Bakery. The cake looked so amazing and flawless. Jenny made a detailed sketch of what our wedding cake will look like and it looked even more beautiful in real life! Also her prices are also very reasonable.. she charges based on serving size and do not charge extra for adding different flavors. Most other bakeries that I have researched charge extra to have different flavors for each tier. The cake also tasted wonderful!

She was the only place I could find that would make a pumpkin and cream cheese wedding cake for us! She even had a special sample made for us to try when we came to the tasting. The cake was super moist even over a week after the wedding! (We went on our honeymoon for a week and my mom saved a piece for us when we got back!)She also went out of her way to go and get donuts in lieu of a grooms cake and arranged them beautifully on cupcake stands that she provided. I LOVE THIS BAKERY!!

This was one of my favorite vendors! Jenny was very professional and didn't pressure us into spending any more money then we wanted. I had this vision for my wedding that I wanted cupcakes, but I wanted them all scattered on a table, and not necessarily on a cupcake tree, and no bakery really seemed to "get" my vision. Jenny layne bakery was outstanding!! My husband and I searched far and wide to find a bakery who could fulfil my vision within our budget. I wanted to do a wedding cake, grooms cake, and dessert bar with other treats. jenny layne figured out with us how to make the numbers work (like you don't need as big of a cake if you have all the other desserts). And everything was so delicious!! We had so many guests afterwards asking who did the desserts (specifically her cheesecake pops- amazing!). And everything was gorgeous. She is so detail oriented that she even thought to put little edible succulents on each cake pop, they turned out so beautiful! We now use Jenny Layne for all special occasions because her cakes are really the best I've ever seen, or tasted!!

My husband and I are so impressed with the cakes Jenny Layne Bakery made for our wedding! We loved working with Jenny to design such personal representations of us. She was friendly and thoughtful when we met and discussed our wedding day. The details on both cakes were so intricate and showed obvious dedication. Is it appropriate to rate my own business? I think so. I wouldn't have used any other bakery. What pressure to put on my staff to hang my wedding cake from the ceiling at a location 2.5 hours away. I have to say something about that! I'm not going to lie, owning a bakery, I had some major expectations set for myself. We had a full dessert bar for 100 guests that included banana pudding, whoopie pies, chocolate chip cookies, cupcakes, cake pops, and sugar cookies. Our wedding cake hung upside down from a rafter beam above the table. I wasn't a part of any of the set-up, other than decorating 3/4ths of my cake, and making an order sheet for what all I wanted. My staff is amazing. They pulled off an amazing task that no one wanted to try, but they were going to do it for the boss! I'm so grateful for the team I work with and the awesomeness they helped me create for an unforgettable wicked weird and wonderful wedding! Thank you guys so much!! You're awesome!

Not only was the cake beautiful for my daughter Katie's wedding but it was so delicious! And my son in law Colin, was so excited to have chocolate bacon heaped on a beautiful platter provided by Jenny as his grooms offering instead of a cake! He was literally in hog heaven and it was a big hit! Jenny was full of helpful suggestions and listened to what Katie was wanted and it was totally captured in the amazing cake. The groom's cake - an Auburn University tie in - was fabulous; Jenny did an amazing job on the design. Wedding cake incorporated multiple cake flavors, fillings and frosting - it was fabulous. Some of our guests are still talking about how delicious they were!! The only thing I wish would have been different is a box for our top tier to freeze. Unfortunately, we didn't receive one so after my husband and I departed for our honeymoon, my parents had no choice but to dump our cake in the trash :( Thankfully, Jenny's bakery is in the same town my parents live in and is so reasonably priced that we will just be having the top tier remade for our anniversary. :)

I've gotten multiple cakes from her and they have all been perfect! She made my husbands cake look exactly like his racing helmet and everyone thought it was amazing! Mine of course was beautiful, and the flowers were exactly like the flowers on my dress! Thank you!

Jenny is so sweet! She was wonderful to work with. She took my design ideas and made them better. I changed the grooms cake design about a month before the wedding with no problems. The cakes were the best we tasted. Super yummy. I've already recommended Jenny to another bride. Jenny is probably the only baker that will "rent" you a cake stand free of charge. She just requires a $100 deposit to make sure you bring the stand back. I will be using Jenny again for special occasion cakes!

The cakes are the one thing everyone walks away remembering because it is the last thing they taste. These were the MOST AMAZING cakes we have ever tasted...and we've tasted a lot. All of our guests made several comments regarding how moist and tasty they were. Not to mention, Jenny did a wonderful job of decorating both cakes exactly how we described.

Jenny Layne Bakery was our choice for our wedding cake. We ended up not doing the traditional bride and groom cakes. We did a big dessert table full of whoopie pies, cupcakes, chocolate covered strawberries, and cake balls. Jenny and her team did such a great job matching all of our desserts to our colors and theme. The desserts were FABULOUS and we had very little left over- which is SO nice because I have heard many brides say they had so much left over from their wedding! That says two things, one, she didn't over price me and make me get way more then I need and two, my guests LOVED the desserts so much that they actually ate them!! Highly recommend the talented Jenny Layne for your choice for your big day!

From the first time my husband and I met with Jenny, I knew we had made the right choice for our wedding cake vendor! Jenny set up a great cake tasting for us and my mother and really made it hard for us to choose what cake flavor and filling we wanted because everything was DELICIOUS! She was flexible with having different types of cake for each tier and we couldn't be happier with how everything turned out - not only were our cakes beautiful, but they were so delicious that my husband and I decided not to wait until our one year anniversary to eat the top of our wedding cake... as soon as we got back from our honeymoon, we took it out of the freezer and enjoyed every bite!

Jenny Lane was such a pleasure to work with! She had made a groom's cake for our friend's wedding and it looked and tasted great! We then spoke with her about doing ours. The initial consultation went great - she was professional and her cakes tasted amazing! We ended up with a grooms cake, bridal cake, chocolate covered strawberries and a sheet cake to keep in the back for a 1/4 of the price we were quoted at other places - and they tasted JUST as good and BETTER! Jenny has a great gift for what she does! She was an extreme pleasure to work with and we will definitely use her again in the future for both casual fun and formal events!

I cannot say enough to express the wonderful job Jenny did!! I requested 3, yes, THREE wedding cakes and groom's cake (shaped as the State of California) and she delivered, set up and was the sweetest person ever!

The entire process has been so comfortable, affordable, and professional from taste testing to delivery. The best thing was, when she delivered my cake the smile on her face was so huge! She was so excited for me to see it, and so excited to have made my cake. This bakery impressed me from the start. We had a ton of cake tastings that seem very unorganized and where the bakers did not care about our vision for the cakes.
At Jenny Layne, they had a wonderful presentation for the tasting. We told them about our ideas for the cakes and they sat down and sketched out the cakes and even came up with ideas how to make them look even better. Most importantly, the cakes taste and looked amazing when they arrived.
We ordered both a bride and groom cake from here and were very pleased.

We absolutely loved working with Jenny Layne for our wedding cake and pies! Jenny Layne herself meets with all brides to ensure she understands their vision, and the cakes (and also pies, 4 different kinds in our case!) are absolutely delicious! We got so many compliments from our wedding guests. She also has cake stands of all sizes to borrow for your wedding or special event at no extra charge! To top it all off, she is definitely affordable, and worth every penny! Would definitely recommend!

Awesome! We chose a very non-traditional route. We opted for a big variety of cupcakes, cake pops, cheesecake bites, buckeye balls, and a grooms cake. Everything turned out great!! They delivered to the venue in Fort Worth the day of the wedding, with seemingly no problems. The cake turned out amazing: we provided them a picture of a very unique and intricate design, and they matched it perfectly! Everyone was very impressed with how it looked.
As far as tasting goes, they were very flexible and generous with us. We were able to try a lot of flavors and see what we liked. Overall, it was a great experience (even if not the cheapest).

BEST CAKE EVER!!! We had plenty of left over and shared it with family and it's amazing! I have Jenny Layne pictures of my dress and she designed the cakes details to match my dress. We did not do a grooms cake as in my groom didn't want one. We did a tuxedo cake with no jelly and I forget what the icing was. It was so good! Our cake tasting was personal and fun.

I loved my cake from Jenny Layne Bakery! It was exactly the vision I was going for!! They were incredibly flexible while working with me and responded so quick when I had questions. Jenny was very personable and designed my cake off of one I found online. The only thing was that they forgot to bring a cake stand to my reception. I was disappointed after the fact, but truly didn't notice that they had forgotten on the day of my wedding!

Jenny was awesome! We got the grooms cake from her also and both the cakes were perfect. I didn't actually get to eat any unfortunately but everyone told me that it was good so I assume it was. Her prices are very reasonable also. We were very happy with the Jenny Layne Bakery.

The two cakes Jenny made for us for by far the best wedding cake I've ever tasted and some of the best I've had in general. When we went in for a tasting, she was accommodating to our crowd, took into account my ideas, asked good questions about what I wanted and delivered. We had a special request for a praline cake for the groom's cake and she did a great job matching it to the style of the bride's cake and it was so freaking good. My only complaint is that I had trouble getting her to respond to my emails and voicemails, but in the end, we were really happy with how everything turned out.

Both the red velvet grooms’ cake and strawberry champagne bridal cake were super yummy – we received numerous compliments on them both, and I know more than one person sought out multiple slices. Bridal cake was just pinker than the reference picture indicated, and the trees on the groom’s came out more corny kid’s cake than elegant forest.

Let me start off by saying Jenny's cakes are the best tasiting cakes I have ever had! Every flavor of her cakes are wonderful. My wedding cake was perfect. Exactly what I wanted. As for the groom's cake, I think that the bakery may ave forgotten what they had promised and not allowed enough time to adeuqately plan for the construction of the cake. It was not anything like we anticipated and it looked rushed. I know Jenny is capable of doing exactly what we discussed, but with her new bakery opening, graduations, and the start of wedding season, I think she may have took on too much. All-in-all the cakes tasted amazing! Just a little disappointed with the groom's cake. As far as price goes, Jenny is super reasonable!
