We decided that we wanted to make our own invitations and programs. We wanted to use the Ink Spot because they were walking distance from our home and we wanted to support the local community. They suggested we use a graphic designer who lived in the area. Everyone was really nice and the design looks great. Our invitations were printed really fast and we got them out on time. When it came to the programs though, I called the Ink Spot a week before the wedding. I was told they would be done on Friday the week before the wedding, our graphic designer, Amanda Hixon, said she would pick them up and deliver at 5pm that Friday. At 5:30pm Amanda called and was like "oh, you don't know. They aren't done." There wasn't much I could do because they were closed. I called the next day and they said "they will be done on Monday." Well, Monday comes around and they are not done. We had 6 pieces of paper for 1 program and they needed to be assembled. My mother-in-law was going to do that for us and she wanted them on Sat. So, Monday night I spoke with the owner of the Ink Spot and he told me that he would stay after hours (why he got 4 stars for flexibility) to complete our programs. It was getting late (around 11pm?) and said that he would leave our programs outside my fiance's house by 6am. They were not there. I took a day off of work because I HAD to get them to my mother-in-law. They were not finished until 5pm on Tuesday. 4 days later than when they were promised and only 4 days before the wedding. To make matters worse, we got a very unprofessional letter 2 nights before the wedding from Amanda saying that nobody would care what scripture passages we read or who lights our candles. The prices were very reasonable and everything was perfect until it came down to that last week when stress was running high.
