Brandy was wonderful to work with for my daughter, Miranda's wedding (9/19/20). We had a blast at our initial meeting, the bride and groom fell in love with the desserts as much as with each other. On the day of the wedding Brandy arranged everything on our dessert table beautifully and I continue to get glowing compliments from our guests about how great the desserts were. Brandy did such an amazing job with our cake. At the tasting, I would’ve chosen every flavor if I could. We went with two layers of strawberry lemonade and one layer of lemon with raspberry filling. I barely ate any food at our wedding, but I had plenty of cake! We kept it minimalistic with a simple design, with no topper but it stood alone very well. Our guests and our venue’s staff were all able to get a piece and we all loved it! Highly recommend. -

We used the Icing and The Cake for our daughter's wedding, we had a two-tier cake and several different flavors of cupcakes made. They were all wonderful, so much so that we hardly had any left and what we did was gone within 2 days!! -

Hired this business for my wedding cake and cupcakes in July and it turned out great. My theme was Alice in Wonderland and Brandy delivered something that was more than I could have ever imagined. They looked and tasted amazing. -

Best wedding cake experience!
Brandy was excellent to work with for our wedding cake! She really took the time to sit down with us to make sure the cake would be exactly what we wanted! The flavors were delicious and turned out perfectly! All of our guests were very impressed! She also did an amazing job with the groom's cake for the rehearsal dinner! I would highly recommend her for any wedding or special event! -

First of all Brandy makes some of the best cakes I've ever had! She made us the most beautiful and delicious cake for our wedding. Not only is she so easy to work with, but she is so sweet too! Brandy did an incredible job with our wedding cake (and gluten free cupcakes for my sister)! We chose the raspberry champagne and triple chocolate as our flavors and everyone raved about how delicious the cake was. The presentation was also gorgeous and exactly what we wanted. We asked for a simple design with flowers and it turned out beautifully. Not only did she do a great job executing what we asked for, she also went above and beyond and made our cake a day earlier than we had originally planned when we decided to move the wedding date last minute (about 2 days before the new wedding date) to the day before due to a tropical storm. We had a great experience with Brandy at The Icing & The Cake and we highly recommend working with her! -

Absolutely amazing! Brandy did an amazing job, I had no doubt after our tasting, but our cake was even more perfect than I imagined! Everyone compliments how beautiful and also how delicious it was! I would highly recommend her raspberry champagne flavor, it is the best wedding cake I have ever tasted! We can not wait to eat this again on our anniversary! We will be ordering one every year I am sure! You will not be disappointed. Brandy is so nice, sweet, and professional. So easy to work with, we were so happy that she was a part of our wedding day! -

Beautiful and delicious!
My husband and I were already married when we hired Brandy to make our cake. We got married at the magistrate with a few witnesses and had a party for family and close friends afterward. Brandy very quickly responded to my email requesting a cake for our party. The tasting was professional and fun. Brandy was very knowledgeable and provided us with great suggestions on flavors and decorations for the cake! We had a three tiered semi- naked cake. Each tier was a different flavor. We went with lemon, key lime and raspberry champagne and they were all so delicious! She even delivered our cake to Independence, Virginia! Honestly, I would hire her to make birthday cakes for my family because her cakes are so amazing! -

Our cake was jaw-dropping and that is exactly what I wanted. Everyone talked about how good the cake was and how gorgeous it was. Ever since our first meeting, I could not wait to see it at the wedding. There was some competition because we were the second couple to get married but she made our cake the best so we won! I love it! -

My daughter purchased her wedding cake from The Icing And The Cake. Not only was the cake absolutely gorgeous it was absolutely delicious as well. The cake was three layers and my daughter decided to have each tier to be a different type of cake. Each type I tasted at and after the wedding was so so moist and delicious. When I found out the price, I was actually floored. My daughter forgot her cake topper for the cake but fortunately the cake was so beautiful we pulled it off using a flower wristlet as the topper. I absolutely recommend The Icing And The Cake, give them a thumbs up and five stars. -

Torey Sent on 07/25/2018WONDERFUL vendor. I had a consult here to explore places to get my wedding cake at. I had already been to 3 wedding cake vendors before visiting Brandy at The Icing & The Cake. There was 1 of those prior 3 that tasted pretty good, but for the design I wanted the price was DOUBLE what Icing & The Cake was, which is crazy for the simple design I wanted. Brandy was super nice and our consult was GREAT. One thing I LOVE that she did was take photo of my fiance and I before we started the cake taking, and now I am so glad I have that to look back on as the day I chose my wedding cake! The shop is super small, so at first I was feeling "iffy" at the consultation but DONT let me "scare" you off. The cake tastes amazing and her prior designs are truly great. I feel like she has the quality work to be in a big giant fancy shop. Her shop is a great find that we discovered! My wedding hasn't happened yet, but I will update with the end result! Looking forward to it. So far everything has been smooth. And the owner even changed my design a few times for me as I had new ideas and she never once complained. Give this shop a try! Affordable s! as well!
EDIT: After my wedding : No changed! Brandy did an amazing job and our cake came out exactly how we all drew it out! It was awesome! The taste was SOO SOO good! Many compliments from my guests about how amazing the cake and cake filling was! My mother-in-law hosted our rehearsal dinner and also got our Groom's cake from Brandy. It was ALSO amazing! Beautiful and delicious
Brandy made the cake for my daughter’s wedding. She always responded to my emails promptly and was attentive to details in all aspects of the process. My daughter sent her photos of how she wanted the cake to look, and Brandy created a beautiful cake that looked like the photos. My daughter’s wedding cake was raspberry champagne flavor with strawberry preserve filling, and I will say it was SO DELICIOUS! I highly recommend all brides give it a try! I do not hesitate recommending Brandy and The Icing and the Cake! -
