In my opinion, music can really set the tone for an event (especially a wedding)...so I was pretty picky when it came to choosing a DJ for my own wedding. Music and the overall vibe are always the most important parts of a wedding to me.
When I first reached out to DJ Paul Reyes, I was immediately impressed by how responsive he was! I knew that if I ever needed anything or had questions during the planning process, he would be easy to get in touch with. That was the first green flag for me.
I spoke with him briefly over the phone and I loved his energy in just normal conversation. Our conversation flowed so easily and he was just very easy to talk to! Another green flag! One of my biggest “concerns” looking for my wedding DJ is the "MCing" part of it. Sometimes I feel like DJs talk way too much on the microphone and it can take away from the moment. Paul was the exact opposite! He knew exactly when to speak, how to hype people up, and he brought such great energy without ever overdoing it :)
He also doesn’t break the bank with his pricing, which is obviously a huge plus (and another green flag) but he’s incredibly talented and genuinely great at what he does. He brings energy both on and off the dance floor!
My main goal for the wedding was to have people on the dance floor all night, and that is exactly what happened . . .and we truly have Paul to thank for that. He played all the songs from my recommended playlist and took my “do not play” list very seriously, which I really appreciated.
I would absolutely use Paul again for any event in the future and would recommend him to anyone. He was that good! If you book DJ Paul (The House of EL Entertainment) - you will not regret it. LOVE YOU PAUL!! (So did our guests, haha!)

The perfect wedding DJ!
We had a great time working with Paul! From our first chat together, we could tell immediately that he was someone we wanted to work with! He was patient, understanding, thorough in his questionnaire, and willing to work with us closely to bring our wedding party/reception vision to life! Kind, professional, and played all our favorites
House of El was amazing for our Wedding! From the planning stages, Paul was very insightful into our wedding venue at Old Polo Estate and gave some fantastic recommendations for set up and day of flow that helped us visualize and plan for the day. Paul was very responsive and professional leading up to the wedding and worked super well with my husband on music selection. We are pretty particular in our taste and wanted to be sure to hear all the songs that were special to us and that our guests were sure to enjoy. He nailed it. Day of, he was an excellent master of ceremonies and was able to make our family, who primarily speak Spanish, and our friends feel welcome. He worked really well with my day of coordinator to keep the flow of the wedding and transitions between everything after we started late (I took a bit longer getting ready than anticipated). I would highly recommend House of El and Paul for your wedding!

We loved having Paul DJ our wedding! He was very communicative from the get go, was so easy to work with, and overall just the nicest guy. He took the time to understand the vision for our wedding and nailed the different vibes we wanted for each part of the day (pre-ceremony, cocktail hour, dinner and party). He did a great job reading the room and has mastered the art of mixing/switching songs without playing the song in its entirety but making sure he hit the good parts that the people want. We appreciated his fun natured but professional demeanor and grateful that he was cool as a cucumber during our 114F outdoor wedding. Thank you Paul!

Amazing DJ and Live Piano! 🤩
From the moment I reached out to Paul to see if he had our wedding date available, all the way to the day of my wedding, he was super professional, personable, and a pleasure to work with!
We hired him for both our ceremony and reception.
Our ceremony was incredible with his live piano! He recommended a list of songs to play as guests arrived but was also open to our requests and did an amazing job. Our processional and recessional songs were some of our favorite songs that were also per our request (Congratulations by Mac Miller and You'll be in my Heart by Phil Collins) and Paul really made my wedding ceremony vision come to life 🥹.
Our cocktail hour, dinner, and reception was also a hit, Paul really took his time to pay attention to our requests, but also read the vibe of our guests and keep people on the dance floor all night! He was very interactive with our guests as MC, very funny, and helped keep things on schedule. Not All Heroes Wear Capes
Paul aka the House of El is Amazing! Not only as a DJ/MC but as a human being. Going into this experience we knew that our DJ/MC was going to be a pivotal decision we had to make. A bad MC would make the flow of the day awkward at best and a bad DJ would make the party a dud.
Thankfully we chose Paul because he pulled all the pieces of our special day together and made everything seamless (even though our people threw some wild cards with extra speeches and what not...fml). We got to know him a little in our video sessions and just knew he was our guy. From teaching music to children to the superman symbol on the wall; we knew he could handle the pressure and rise to the occasion. He is kind, personable, knows every genre of music, and most importantly he is egoless and adaptable to your needs. Paul took our music musts and perfectly curated a night that exceeded our expectations and had everyone dancing and having the absolute best time! As an MC, Paul did an amazing job herding the cats (wedding guests, staff, etc) and keeping everything from falling off the rails. We had countless people tell us how much fun they had and how it was the best wedding they've ever been too. Those reactions would not have happened without having Paul at the helm of our ship. If you are debating between him and anyone else, I can confidently say you NEED to choose Paul. We can't thank him enough and are confident you will feel the same way about him.

House of El Entertainment brought down the house!
House of El Entertainment perfectly fit the needs of our wedding day. Paul Reyes is both charismatic and bilingual, which was invaluable to emceeing our event, where much of the guests were Latino.
He coordinated with us before the wedding with virtual meetings and followed the wedding timeline, especially for our ceremony, with precision.
Now, for the most important part!
A DJ can make or break a wedding by playing a key role as to whether guests leave with memories of a great time or not. Paul's questionnaire beforehand allowed all involved to get a sense of the music that would best match the wedding crowd on the dance floor. When the time came, he definitely kept the party going.
Paul's beatmatching allowed for smooth transitions between songs and genres. There was nothing rough or abrupt about them, which I've seen from other less talented wedding DJs. He played many of our specially requested songs while weaving through playlists with similar music.
House of El Entertainment is a great fit for weddings that bring together all kinds of people, no matter what generation or cultural background. As a musician, Paul is passionate about music across an impressive array of genres.
Between a high degree of professionalism and being reasonably priced, I would recommended House of El Entertainment for future weddings.

Great bilingual DJ
When my husband & I began searching for a DJ it was important to find someone who could balance English and Spanish music for us, and someone who was bilingual. Paul was just that! At our first phone meeting we knew he was the right choice for us. We ultimately told him to just go with the flow and play whatever everyone is vibing to the most. We wanted our wedding to be a big dance party. He delivered just that! People are still talking about how fun our wedding was a month later and i feel a huge part of that was due to the music! I was dancing literally all night and had the best freakin time!!

Short notice wedding, high value entertainment
Paul worked with my wife and I to give us the wedding we dreamed of! We had a short notice of our wedding and Paul helped craft it to perfection! We also needed a translator and Paul was able to translate throughout the whole wedding reception which made both sides of the wedding feel comfortable! We even threw in a last minute celebration event and Paul adapted well to it and it turned out amazing! Hands down, the best entertainer, DJ, translator, a human there is. Weddings are always stressful, but Paul was super helpful, professional and communicative. I knew right from the start exactly what to expect. Pricing was clear and very reasonable. He was able to work with the venue directly to handle insurance assurances and I didn’t have to worry about it. All the equipment was set up and available on time. During the reception he was able to read the crowd and play songs that were enjoyable for everyone. The paperwork that he asked us to fill out really helped us visual the whole day. We provided him a list of songs to play but he was able to flex from the list when necessary so the event flowed. I would very confidently recommend The House of El and Paul to anyone that was interested for a DJ for their important event.

Amazing service
We had the best experience with Paul and The House of EL Entertainment. They did a wonderful job at setting up our ceremony music and sound. I didn't think twice about what was being played, the transitions, or the set up which was wonderful. They did a fantastic job at moving the night along with cocktail hour, speeches, and getting the dance party started. We had multiple guests come up and tell us how wonderful the music selection was and how much fun they had dancing. On top of that Paul was easy to work with, thought through everything well, and was very detailed in the information he asked from us which made the experience that much better. We highly recommend The House of EL Entertainment!

Amazing! Highly recommend!
Paul was an absolute pleasure to work with from beginning to end for our wedding (ceremony and reception) in Coachella, CA in November 2021. He was very a accommodating with scheduling, payments and song selections. He definitely knows his stuff and made me feel confident in his ability to kill it the day of the wedding. He was probably the easiest vendor we worked with that day! Our guests were dancing the whole night and a lot of them told us the DJ made the night. Not only was he great as a DJ, he was a kind and highly professional vendor that worked well with everyone. Highly recommend Paul if you want your event to be a success.

Amazing service and music
He was one of the most responsive vendors out of all the ones i had for my wedding. Always answered his phone, helped customize our wedding music and found ways to tie things together that were out of the norm that we wanted specially done. He was so friendly it felt like talking with a friend. He was prompt and followed through with every little detail. Everything was so seamless and easy. Music can make or break your wedding vibe - you will love him! Highly recommend!

Best dj hands down!
Paul was such an incredible dj! The planning process with him was personal and organized and he was extremely on top of things. He did a flawless job MCing our wedding and the music was AMAZING. Every guest was on the dance floor dancing the night away. We had a long reception with over 4 hours of dancing and Paul kept the party going. He played our favorite songs, guest requests, and the best dance songs. Every guest went on and on about how much fun they had. He also had great timing and feel when it came to first dances and ceremony. I would recommend Paul to every family and friend hosting an event!

DJ Paul is the best!
Paul was the best DJ we have had the pleasure of working with! He is so organized and had the whole wedding mapped out start to finish which made it so much less stress because I knew things were going to go smooth and it did! I was able to text him all my requests and questions and he always responded quickly. He personalized the music to our taste and even the portions that were DJs choice were awesome. Everyone at our wedding was commenting on how awesome and fun our DJ was. Thank you Paul for making our wedding a hit!

From the exceptional communication, to the music choice recommendations to fit your wedding style, down to the perfect second to start your walk down the isle, and to the details surrounding the timeline of your wedding, Paul made sure to keep our wedding flowing smoothly without any blemishes! My dad even communicated with Paul to arrange a special “remixed” song for our father daughter dance, which goes to show you Paul’s heart for his business is genuine and caring. Paul did a fantastic job of keeping our small celebration going, the music was on point, mixes were refreshing and lively even on the slow songs. He was also able to pick up all last minute song request with ease given our guest a great positive experience! “Best DJ they’ve ever been at a wedding with!”
Our wedding was at Rancho Las Lomas in Silverado, Ca and Paul made sure we had the night of our lives! We danced for three hours straight and were jumping up and down until the very end! Paul is charismatic and was an awesome MC for our English/Spanish speaking guests. He is incredibly professional and talented he met with us over zoom three times leading up to our wedding, making sure he had everything down the way we wanted! Best DJ Ever
DJ Paul was one of our vendors I was most excited about. I heard great things about him and he did not disappoint. He was very detailed and listened to all our requests. He played all our songs on our playlist, and all the DJ choice songs were fire! Our friends said the music was so good! At the end of the night Paul was so LIT we had to get him to jump in the pool! Most amazing dj experience ever!
I was not really sure what to look for when hiring a DJ...but this surpassed all expectations that I could have possibly ever had!! Paul was the most fun and in the moment DJ and he truly made this wedding the very best it could be. He tailored all the music to our tastes...which happens to be punk music...and everyone had the most wonderful experience!! Paul is a must hire!
Paul was our wonderful DJ and MC for mine and my husbands wedding in 2020. We attended a wedding in 2019 in which he was their DJ/MC and absolutely had the best time, and the couple raved about him. During one of the most challenging times in 2020, he was there for us every step of the way. We were lucky enough to still put on a great party, and Paul truly made the night. Our friends and family are still talking about our wedding and how amazing the music and entertainment was. Not only was the music great, but Paul worked so well with our other vendors and played a key role in the smooth flow of our wedding. Loved how personally customized the service was!
Hands down one of the most attentive vendors. He knew exactly the vision that I had for our wedding. I contacted Paul last minute but he was super prepared and attentive to have everything ready prior to the event. We had a game plan and lists of songs that fit exactly the atmosphere I was aiming for. Paul setup for both the ceremony and reception. Everything flowed so well I never had to worry about any hiccups. The experience during the reception was stellar and he kept the people well entertained. We planned for reception activities and we all had a blast! I personally recommend Paul for his great work ethic and professionalism.

Wonderful Experience
So we had an interesting wedding idea, we invited a bunch of friends and family to a graduation, and we surprised them with a wedding! This was really difficult, for a million reasons I won't get into here, and required a lot of help from Paul (El Entertainment) as well as all our other vendors, and he performed spectacularly.
From the beginning he was prompt to respond, very patient with me and my last minute changes and my varying response times. He was extremely thorough and he knew the venue well. My requirements were slightly between the two tiers of service he provided, but he still offered to do for us the cheaper tier despite all the extra requirements for the unique style wedding we were doing (he even ended up renting special lights for us and didn't charge extra). And despite that he still definitely went the extra mile in providing for us the best experience he could for us. He genuinely cared about helping give us the best wedding he possibly could.
We couldn't have pulled this off without his help. His MC'ing was extremely important for what we had planned, and he performed perfectly and confidently. He has a great voice, is very professional, and is very flexible when needed. It's so hard to know who to pick based on videos and pictures, especially when everyone wants something unique and special for their own wedding, but he was ready to provide exactly the experience we wanted for our special event. He got everyone dancing and having fun. I don't think our experience would have been as great without him. I absolutely recommend House of El Entertainment.

I used Paul for my wedding and he was amazing! He had great communication throughout my whole planning experience and listened to everything I wanted. He even offered to meet me at my venue during my final walkthrough. He was right within my budget and was worth every penny. He sent a very thorough questionnaire to make sure I had every song at the time I wanted it. I left a lot of options up to the DJs choice and he played the perfect music for my guests. On the day of the wedding he showed up early, well dressed and with a great energy. He was a great MC and really took the time to make sure he pronounced everyone’s name correctly. (With my group we all have crazy names.) During the reception he really got the parted started on the dance floor and I love that he takes song requests. (When I was interviewing DJs a lot of them said they would not do that which was surprising to me.) Overall my husband and I were very happy with his services and I am recommending him to all of my friends and family! Thank you Paul!

He was very professional, well prepared prior to the wedding, very detail oriented and extremely supportive and flexible when it came to last minute changes. He was very intuitive with the crowd. We had a Rustic Country style wedding and Paul made sure to have an emphasis on Country music (although he also played what the crowd enjoyed too) he was with us from ceremony to reception ending. We had about 90-100 guests, it was a backyard wedding but felt like a venue like no other. I am a huge dance fanatic and let me tell you DJ had us dancing all night long! We had no problems in regards to volume being too low or high, no neighbors had any complaints and he knew how to change the ambiance flawlessly. He knew when to turn it up too! He was incredibly kind and we give him so much credit to how great our night went! There were no complaints at all and would book him again in an instant.

Paul is truly a professional wedding DJ that does it all.
Paul did an amazing job at our wedding. I spoke to him multiple times to set the music choices and work out the day of details. He even edited our first dance song perfectly and quickly. On the wedding day he arrived early and worked with 3 different locations in one large estate without a hitch. He truly got the party started and kept it going. Throughout this he worked great with our event coordinator and all the last minute changes.

Great DJ That Listened to Our Requests
The services provided were great! We made a last minute change to the ceremony to add some live music, which Paul was totally able to accomodate. Also, the music was great all night and the music kept everyone on the dance floor all night. The wedding party had a lot of requests, but Paul was able to manage all of them and made it a great night! Highly recommend!

Paul was THE perfect person to DJ for our wedding!!! We had some special requests, because my now-husband has a very particular music taste lol, and wanted each part of the wedding (preceremony, post ceremony, cocktail, dinner, etc) to have certain songs. Paul went above and beyond to do his research on artists/songs based off the list we compiled for him. We also met once to go through the detailed timeline Paul put together, and was SO responsive through text and phone calls. On the day of the wedding, everything went soo smoothly and when it came time to dance during the reception.. Paul knows how to get the party started!! There was never a dull moment throughout the day and especially during the reception. And afterwards, all of our friends and family raved about how much fun the dancing and music was! I would have Paul DJ our future parties any day and any couple would be SO lucky to have Paul DJ their wedding! Thanks Paul for EVERYTHINGGG! You know we couldn't have done it without you! :D

Paul was awesome! From the day we met with him he appreciated our attention to detail and how prepared we were (which is always nice) during our initial meeting. He had great ideas an questions and provided feedback to make our day of the wedding timeline flow a lot nicer that we had imagined. He set up the ceremony music and the reception, it was flawless, I didn't even see it happen. He had a pretty big challenge ahead. Our wedding was very small, 17 people total (including us!). Additionally our families had different personalities. Mine (bride) is a lot more reserved and my partner's family is more outgoing and comfortable dancing. He was able to make everyone comfortable in large part because of the flow he established and song selections. Paul is a really wonderful guy and we highly recommend working with him!

We had house of EL Entertainment DJ for our Family Fun Day for Army unit 304th. Everyone loved the music and the consistency of what music was playing and never once did anyone doubt his ability. We were very impressed with the extensive selection of music, the professional looking equipment such as the lighting, and the professional attire that was worn the day of the wedding. In addition, The House of El did the announcing throughout the wedding in English for our English speaking guests and also in Spanish for our Spanish speaking guests.

Great guy, great ceremony, reception… a different story.
Paul was a really great guy, good communication and not overpriced. The ceremony music was on point, but a few things were messed up that made a difference. He forgot my mom for the blessing toast before eating, so he had to stop everyone from eating to allow my mom to have her moment. One game out of 4 that we requested was carried out, and that one was a disaster. Table numbers were mixed up and when no one was dancing or getting up, he left it awkward instead of moving on right away to the next song. Songs like Barbie Girl were played but more wedding worthy songs were not. It felt like a 90’s pop school dance. Luckily we have a wild group of friends that makes anything fun, but it was a bit disappointing.

Hi Tanya,
I am deeply torn hearing the feedback for your event. I do wish I could go back and correct a couple of things. I do have to agree we did rush grabbing the microphone during the toast before eating. For that I am sorry as it seems it caused a rift in having your mom feeling left out or discounted.
However I highly disagree with some of the other observations, but at not fault to anyone. Simply because after I reviewed footage I realized that the way the venue had me setup out side the building facing the parking lot while all the guests were inside at reception there was a limited opportunity to gauge body language, and for me a facial awareness to motivate and engage during the reception. I remember simply calling tables over and over while mixing the music but could not see if anyone was confused. This separation in DJ/Entertainment from the crowd can cause disengagement as they only hear a voice coming from a speaker but not seeing a face. I will speak to the venue in regards to this so they can accommodate a setup where the entertainment is facing the crowd and the main table as its traditionally customary. As far as continuing the other games I did make a judgement call and since guests were dancing decided to continue having them have a great time on the dance floor vs stopping to play a game. For this I do apologize it was not as you directed.
As far as music goes I have a timestamped tracklist and all requested songs on our paperwork were handled. No Barbie girl was played, and all of the songs outside of that were requested by bridesmaids, groomsmen and some of the children that were there at the wedding. I can submit that to you to review but most of the rest was 2000's club music, some new top40 and some 90s requested songs as mentioned. I make it a point in our talk to arrange for requests and throughly offer to provide a Spotify, YouTube list for this reason.
Thank you for providing this feedback though. It will help me fill in any gaps and continue to improve in my services.
