My daughter just got married at the Garden at the Hops Company and it was truly the most amazing, beautiful venue. Everything went so smoothly and the staff were amazing at making her day perfect. The venue is gorgeous and the coordinators were so great and helpful through the whole process. We could not have asked for a better event. The waterfall and gardens are so perfect for the most beautiful pictures. The tent was beautiful and we loved the large fire pit. -

The Garden at the Hops was the perfect venue for my daughter's wedding. She and her fiance were looking for an outdoor, tented garden setting and it was ideal. We were blown away by how stunning the venue was...meticulously manicured grounds, with a phenomenal outdoor ceremony area--slate walkway, benches, impressive arch, set amongst a backdrop of beautiful flowers and gorgeous landscaping including a waterfall area, firepit with adirondack chairs, and grassy and gravel areas for everything from cocktails to cornhole. The tent is substantial and ample for dinner and dancing, and there is a modern bar, cocktail, and restroom building that opens up for a great indoor/outdoor flow. From start to finish, Anna was phenomenal as the manager/coordinator. She provided a great list of preferred vendors and went over everything with you every step of the way. It is amazing that they handle every detail the day of. You drop off any items that you are providing beforehand and they set everything up and break everything down for you to pick up the next day. It is so wonderful that you can enjoy the day without worrying about anything. They handle it all and are incredibly organized and friendly. Anna personally made sure the bride and groom were well attended to--she brought them drinks and appetizers and checked in on them throughout. As beer lovers, the Hops was the perfect choice. With so many beers and drinks on tap, they offered something for everyone. The bridal suite was great for getting ready and having photos taken ahead of the ceremony. They facilitated the sparkler send off for the couple at the end of the evening and it was truly magical. -

We are so grateful to Anna and the entire Hops Company team for helping bring our dream wedding day to life!! We booked nearly two years out, and for any question or concern that came up along the way, Anna's responses were always quick, kind, and super detailed. On our wedding day, Anna was up and responding to questions as early as I could ask them, and was especially reassuring as she guided us through a day of on and off rain, giving us options and suggestions for the photos and ceremony that made us feel like we were in the best hands and would have the best day no matter what. We also appreciated how seamlessly Anna was able to communicate with all of our vendors and the rest of the THC team—we truly felt like we could pass off all of our plans to the professionals and fully enjoy every moment. Our wedding at Garden at the Hops was gorgeous, joyful, and everything we hoped it would be, and we absolutely recommend it to any other couples planning their dream wedding! -

We had our wedding at the Garden at the end of May this year, and the day was wonderful! We are so happy we decided to have our wedding at The Hops! From start to finish, the team at the Hops was professional and extremely helpful. We hit a few bumps along the way (as that happens with weddings!) but throughout the whole process Alexia and the rest of the team at the Hops communicated and we really felt like we had people in our corner. The Garden is beautiful (and so is there new Lodge!) and it made for such a unique and amazing day. The team really helped our vision come alive. 10/10 recommend The Hops Company for your wedding day! -

My husband and I got married at the Garden at the Hops on October 5th and we cannot express how phenomenal the venue, the staff, and the entire process was. The ceremony area is breathtaking, and the reception tent and grounds are stunning. We primarily worked with Alexia and Anna, and they were always available to answer our questions and provide guidance on the planning process. They regularly checked in with us to make sure we were on track, and they were incredibly helpful and professional. Anna was our day of coordinator, and she was there for us every step of the way throughout our day, keeping us on track, making sure we ate, and even searching through the bridal cottage for anything I needed throughout the evening. Our guests had so much fun and we received countless compliments on the venue. The Hops has a list of preferred vendors, many of whom we used and had an amazing experience with, and having a team of vendors that worked so seamlessly together made the entire experience smooth. We are so thankful to the entire team at the Hops for making our wedding day an absolute dream come true. We cannot recommend the Hops enough! -

We had the BEST experience with The Garden at the Hops. Alexia was always available to answer questions throughout the planning process. The planning pod website they use helped to keep us organized as we were going through the planning. Her walk through with us a few weeks before the wedding was so thorough and really helped alleviate all my stress about how the day was going to go. On the day of the wedding Alexia and her team were phenomenal. Getting ready at the cottage on-site made everything so easy and it was a great space to relax, get our hair and makeup done, eat and take some photos. They set up the tent beautifully and it truly felt magical. There was rain predicted on the day and they were checking the radar constantly to determine if we could have our ceremony outside. We even would have been able to have it outside with their planning but we ended up deciding to take longer with our photos and the team pivoted easily to moving the ceremony under the tent and it was still beautiful. Alexia and her team checked in with us throughout the wedding to see if we needed anything and made sure we always had drinks and were fed. They’re the reason I got to taste all the food on the wedding day! They made the entire day feel stress free! The venue is beautiful and fun and we got so many comments from our guests on what a unique and gorgeous venue it was! I wish I could re-live the whole day again! I would recommend the garden at the hops to anyone getting married in CT! We might come back and do it again as a vow renewal in a few years!

Amazing Wedding Experience
My husband and I cannot recommend The Garden at The Hops Company enough! We just had our wedding on Friday (August 9, 2024). From the day we toured the venue all the way through the wedding day, our event director Anna was responsive, helpful, and so knowledgeable. She guided us with vendor recommendations, answered all of our questions in a very timely manner, and made the wedding planning process easy and stress free. Fast forward to the week of our wedding when it looked like storms and rain were inevitable, Anna reassured us that weather can change and that her entire team was prepared for anything. They monitored the weather up until the last second and thanks to the amazing team at THC we were able to have our ceremony outside! The entire day Anna and her team went above and beyond to anticipate our needs. From holding my drink while taking photos, to bustling my dress, and helping me change from heels to sneakers, the level of service they provided exceeded all of our expectations. This venue is not to be missed! Our friends and family have not stopped raving about how much they loved The Garden. The space is beautiful, the staff is wonderful, and you won’t regret having your wedding here! We cannot thank the wedding team at THC enough. It was a perfect night!! -

Incredible Experience
For anyone considering this venue for their special day, my husband and I can't recommend it enough!! Alexia, Anna, and the rest of the THC team were the most kind, professional, knowledgeable, and incredible people to work with. From start to finish Alexia and Anna made wedding planning the most easy and stress-free process. They were both incredibly responsive to any and all questions and had the most amazing vendor recommendations that helped make our wedding the best day of our lives! The day of the wedding they expertly executed the entire day of coordination and set-up. Alexia and her team seamlessly coordinated the entire day, anticipating our needs before we even knew we needed it! This team takes pride in their work and it shows in every aspect- especially in the small details. The venue itself is stunning and such a beautiful hidden gem. We have gotten so many compliments from friends and family raving about the space and staff. You will not regret having your wedding at the Garden at The Hops!!!! Best decision that my husband and I made. -

May 25, 2024 was the wedding of our dreams at the Garden at the Hops! My husband and I set out to find a venue in CT (where we're both from originally) that was beautiful but relaxed and was not a country club. Our original vision was a backyard wedding but the logistics were way too overwhelming. When we found The Garden at The Hops - we knew we had found it. Anna, from our first visit, to our wedding day and beyond was right there with us anticipating needs and helping our dreams come to life. I cannot recommend the Hops Company enough. The space itself is beautiful but I had visions of extra details all around our wedding and Anna, Shanleigh and their team helped coordinate every last vendor detail from the rentals, band, our photographer, to the florist, to the set up of my intricate seating chart, assembly of our welcome table and our mixed/match style tablescapes. When we wanted a signature cocktail that was slightly different than the standard offerings, Anna got it done seamlessly. They understood our vision and brought it to life beyond our wildest dreams. Our MDW wedding (2024) was everything we could have dreamed of and it was all thanks to the Hops Company team. 10000/10 would recommend. We can't thank you enough!!! -

My husband and I are both nurses and got married during the 2020 COVID pandemic. When I say The Garden at The Hops was the perfect venue for us during that crazy time I truly mean it. My husband and I always went on brewery dates while dating and having a beautiful outdoor venue with lots of craft beer options was so amazing for us. My bridesmaids and I got ready in the bridal suite on site which was spacious and had a kitchen so we could have breakfast while getting ready for photos. They truly made sure we still had the wedding of our dreams but kept our guests safe as well. We can’t thank them enough!The Garden at The Hops's reply:

Perfect Day!
My wife and I got married at The Garden at The Hops August 7, 2021. Our original wedding date was June 27, 2020, but unfortunately we had to reschedule due to Covid, not once, but twice! Anna and the whole crew were nothing but accommodating. They made sure our day was even better than we anticipated. They took care of everything and worked side by side with the rest of our vendors. Simple, elegant, beautiful, classic. Such an amazing experience
We got married this past September 2022 at the Garden at the Hops.
We loved the casual vibe of the lodge but when we saw the garden in back…we knew right away.
We worked with Anna, she was so accommodating and answered all our questions, no matter how many times I asked the same question, and above all else, so patient and kind!
From the picture perfect bridal suite, to the ceremony site that fits so perfectly tucked into nature, to the sail cloth tent- we were sold. We were able to have our dream wedding with all our favorite people in what felt like a secluded, intimate space. We filled it with lawn games, vintage furniture for guests to take photos and food trucks.
Then after the wedding we were invited down to the lodge for an after party. The garden at the hops is so versatile, so easy to work with and all around it was such an amazing experience, we wish we could relive it again.

A+ venue with all star staff!
I had my wedding August 2022 and am SO happy I chose the Hops. It's such a special venue – a balance of beautifully manicured grounds and perfectly relaxed vibes.
From the gorgeous arbor and wide aisle in the ceremony space, to the corn hole during cocktail hour, the beer on tap at the bar and fire pit lit during reception – there's so many pockets of special moments to capture. There is a noise ordinance that meant our band had to stop playing at 10pm but we were able to keep the party going with a Silent Disco that was a HUGE success with our guests and still talked about anytime I see friends and family. Hops also provides reserved space for you at their beer garden after your reception for an easy and really fun after party!
One thing to note is that they're closed Mondays and Tuesdays and mostly busy with weddings on the weekends, so you have to plan your communication with them around that, but they're responsive and attentive during their work hours and MORE than make up for any of that in the quality of service day-of. I cannot express how at ease I felt – Alexia and her team for sure know how to run a wedding and did it calmly, thoroughly, and with SUCH attention to detail. We found this venue on Instagram and we never have been more thankful for a targeted ad. The minute we arrived we KNEW this was our spot. The venue itself is beautiful but the attention to detail and the employees just blew us away. The cottage to get ready in was KEY, made everything so comfortable and easy. We were worried about our photos but this place comes to LIFE. Gorgeous background and this venue made it easy to be in the moment with each other. The venue has thought of everything you could possibly need. It is very relaxed but you can dress it up exactly how you and your soulmate see fit. We were paired up with a dream of a wedding coordinator, Anna. She was the most attentive, caring and experienced professional. She literally brought the magic and we did not have to worry or lift a finger. Anna and her staff made us feel like royalty. She guided us along the way and shared useful information to help make our day perfect. I really had no idea what to expect and now we tell every one- you need someone like Anna. She is truly a gem and we are really not sure how our day would have been without her. The Garden at the Hops is a unique and special place, we are truly grateful and feel so loved and supported. This place is outstanding.

We are still in awe of how amazing and smoothly run our wedding day was at THC. I am a perfectionist and Anna was amazing to work with, she made our wedding day above and beyond anything I could've imagined. From the beautiful and big bridal suite, to the amazing staff who made sure we had all the food and drinks we could need (seriously, I never even got to meet the bartenders because I never had to get myself anything), to the stunning grounds, and Anna's coordination throughout the entire day made it seamless, stress-free, and the most amazing day.
Even with thunderstorms rolling through a half hour before our ceremony, Anna made sure we were all calm and ready for anything. Luckily it cleared up and the staff made sure we had the perfect ceremony outside.
So many of our guests told us it was one of the best weddings they've ever been to, and they want to get married at THC or are recommending it to their friends. THANK YOU ANNA, THC, AND YOUR AMAZING STAFF! -

I cant say enough about how awesome it was to get married here! The grounds are beautiful, Anna was so helpful through the whole process it made it so easy for me and helping my visions come to life! She helped us every step of the way, communication was awesome, and service during our wedding was phenomenal. It was truly a dream come true; we wanted a backyard wedding but slightly fancier. The venue exceeded our expectations, the staff was so friendly and awesome. I can't say enough great things about getting married at The Garden at the Hops or THC in general. We got married on 06.12.2022 and people are still gushing over our wedding 3 weeks later saying it was the most fun they had in years and it was the BEST wedding they have ever gone to. HIGHLY recommend getting married here and working with Anna :) -

THC was a dream come true for our day. Being able to be onsite in the bridal suite all day was so easy, then to seamlessly transition from ceremony to cocktail hour to reception to after party was incredible. We got endless compliments on the venue, where people were able to sit, dance, play corn hole, enjoy the bar and firepit, and all within view so we all felt everyone was still together.
Alexia and the event crew were AMAZING. They were somehow both invisible and always there when we needed. Cannot say enough good things about this space and would highly recommend it. THANK YOU! -

We absolutely LOVED having our wedding at The Garden at The Hops. The grounds are so beautiful and well kept and Anna did everything from touring the venue with us, answering all our questions throughout the planning process, to making sure everything went as smoothly as it possibly could on our wedding day- she thought of everything! All of our guests commented on how spectacular our venue was and even a couple said they would get married there! When we walked into THC almost 3 years ago, they were still in the middle of renovations, but we trusted Anna and her vision, and I couldn’t be more grateful for that. Every guest said how they were skeptical when they were walking up to the gate, but the minute they stepped in the back garden they were blown away. The grounds are stunning, the tent set up and the bar were beautiful, the ceremony site is magical. Anna and her whole team, from bartenders to bar back to Anna herself, were courteous, professional, friendly, warm, funny, and helped make our night so amazing and special. Anna is a dream to work with, along with her partner Alexia, and she truly makes everything run so smoothly. Thank you guys!! -

THC has always been really special to me - when I used to live in Connecticut, it was my favorite place to go have a drink with my best friend, so imagine my delight when my now-husband and I discovered we could get married there! From start to finish, Anna was absolutely incredible. She ran through all of our different options for days and packages, and gave us all the information in a straight forward way we loved - we never once felt like we were being upsold, but rather that she genuinely wanted to help us plan our perfect day. THC was incredibly safe, communicative, and responsive over the course of the COVID-19 pandemic, and we would absolutely not have been able to plan our wedding anywhere else. Anything we needed, Anna and her team were right there to help, answering our million questions and going absolutely above and beyond to make sure we had the perfect day. We heard so much great feedback from our guests too! Plus, the grounds are so beautiful that you can use minimal decor and still have a breathtaking backdrop. I got married at THC on 5/1/21 and I cannot say enough great things!! I truly wish we could relive the day. We had a blast & it was all thanks to THC, the entire staff & team - Anna and Alexia especially. They were so kind and helpful during the planning process and on the day of. All of my decor and setup/breakdown was taken care of, they coordinated with all of my vendors, and the day went flawlessly. Our guests couldn't stop talking about our choice of venue and what a hidden gem it is.
The venue space itself is absolutely beautiful, especially on a nice day (luckily we had great weather!). They updated the ceremony and tent space to be paved, the grounds are well taken care of, and there are a ton of pretty spots for photo opportunities. It's unique and doesn't have the vibe of a "wedding factory" like a lot of ballrooms. Pictures don't do justice to how spacious it really is - it is worthy of a tour in person!
Also, not only is the venue beautiful, the bridal suite is as well. I HIGHLY recommend booking it for the whole day if you're able. It is such a cute space with plenty of rooms. It was a major stress reliever to be on-site while getting ready and not have to worry about transportation.
I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them and I'm already hoping someone I know gets married here so I can experience it all over again! Thanks for everything, THC! -

The Hops Company was a beautiful place to have our ceremony and reception. COVID forced us to reschedule our wedding at a different venue, then we decided to visit THC spontaneously and fell in love with the space! The wedding was planned in 5 weeks time, Anna was such a pleasure to work with and was such a big help the day of the wedding and during the weeks leading up to it. We got married October 30 and had crazy SNOW for the first half of the day (which threw us through a bit of a loop) but Anna remained calm and professional the whole time and made me feel much better about the situation. Even under the tent, the ceremony was beautiful and we were able to make the event COVID safe and comfortable for our guests. Definitely would recommend this venue to anyone getting married! -

Don’t think twice, book THC!
Due to COVID we had to cancel our original wedding plans however, we ultimately decided to have an intimate wedding reception with immediate family. THC was recommended to us by our wedding coordinator and I am so glad we ended up there! The renovated barn was the perfect space for our 20 person wedding. We were looking forward to use of the outdoor space as well but unfortunately had some inclement weather. Anna was very supportive throughout the process and was able to help make our night go seamlessly. The other event staff was lovely as well and we enjoyed every second of our wedding! We really hope one of our friends gets married here so we can enjoy the venue again! Would absolutely recommend and would book again and again! -

I absolutely loved everything about this venue and my wedding day. I did both my ceremony and reception here. Everything at the garden is beautiful, the landscaping is stunning. There is SO MUCH space. The tent is beautiful and the lights are the perfect touch. There are SO many places to take photos you'll have a hard time choosing between your arch, the waterfall, the flower garden, the tent and the barn. All are picture perfect. The staff is beyond helpful, I honestly don't think Anna ever said the words NO to me! I used their recommended DJ who was great and I chose to have the clam bake (also a recommendation from the Hops) and it all was beyond our expectations. I wish I could get married all over again. -

So Glad We Changed Our Original Plans to THC!
We had originally had a large wedding planned for December 5th at a completely different style venue, legally we can't say anything about what happened with that. What we can say is that the minute we started speaking with Anna and the staff at THC, we knew we were making the right call. We cut our guest list down to about 35 people (which quickly turned into about 45 people) to make sure everyone felt safe with Covid. We threw together a wedding in less than a month, that part was stressful, but Anna made it easier. She recommended caterers (I recommend Spice Catering) and worked closely with PowerStations who we already had a contract with for DJ, Photography, and we even added on a dance floor. We rented the bridal suite (highly recommend) to get ready in on the day of, it was adorable + had a ton of space to get all the bridal jitters out in.
Anna made sure everything ran on time and checked in to make sure we had everything we needed throughout the day. Afterwards we went on down to the patio and kept the party going a little longer. Could not have asked for a better day, so glad we changed our plans and also remained safe with Covid. -

I have been to THC many times, and had no idea this existed on the same property. I was in a wedding at The Hops Company on October 6 as a bridesmaid. When I first walked in, I would have never imagined to find what was such a beautiful garden in the middle of the valley. I grew up around the corner in Shelton, and did not know this was hidden behind a bustling beer garden. The barn was decorated with such character, and the tent complete with lights and decor brought an elegant element to the space. I had never been to a wedding where beer was on tap and not bottled, so that was a plus! I am a craft beer lover, so it was nice to see authentic German beers and a great variety of domestic beers being poured. When coordinating set and drop off, Anna was the event director at THC and incredibly attentive and helpful. Such a hidden gem. Thanks for such a fun time, THC! -

Food Truck Wedding
The Hops Company was so accommodating for the vision I had for our big day. I wanted a seated ceremony with several food trucks for our guests and a sparkler exit. They worked with me and my vendors to make it a smooth and perfect day. It started to drizzle right before my ceremony so they moved everything under the tent but when Anna found out I really wanted to walk down the aisle in the grass she moved everything back for me and wiped all the seats off. She also was very accommodating for our rehearsal the night before, sneaking us in between events, and was very helpful with directing the flow of the day. The guests of The Hops Company made our day special because when we were walking in the building to start walking down the aisle everyone cheered for us. Made me even more excited to get married! I highly recommend having your one of a kind wedding at The Hops Company and having a place you can always go back and celebrate at. -

The perfect location for the perfect day!
We got married at the Garden at the Hops on 9/20/25 and the day was truly everything we could have imagined and more. We started looking for venues early 2024 and this was the only one we immediately fell in love with. At the time of booking, the inside location was still the bar/restaurant. In early 2025, they made this portion into another wedding venue. We originally were nervous this would affect our day, however, the way the Hops Company has the venues set up, we never even realized there was another wedding happening! Shanley, Anna, and their entire team were so helpful with giving opinions about everything from the size of sparklers to where frames should go! They were extremely transparent about communication time and how to best contact them. On the day of our wedding, the team was extremely professional, helpful, and made sure each detail was perfect. Shanley continually checked in with us throughout the day to ensure it was going as we had planned.
Each of our guests had an amazing time and we still can’t stop talking about how great ALL of our vendors were! We truly had the most magical day!! -

All I can say is the venue speaks for itself and pictures do not do it justice. I found the Garden through an ad on Instagram, and it instantly caught my attention. My fiance and I decided to take the hour and a half drive to take a tour and fell in love instantly. The grounds are breathtaking and having everything at one location was perfect for the day we were planning. The way that you can customize your special day at this venue is so invaluable. The bridal suite was an added bonus and was a really heartwarming way to start the day. Alexia and team the day of the event could not have been more accommodating, making sure our every need was met. Honestly, everything was perfect. Having the biergarten below for the after party was such a fun add-on as well. Our whole guest list keeps raving to us about how amazing of a venue the Garden at the Hops Company was. My husband wanted a brewery wedding; I wanted a beautiful wedding. We were lucky enough to stumble upon THC during our search and found the perfect culmination of what we both were looking for. The grounds are stunning, the accomodations are customizable, and the team, headed up by Anna, are tremendous. They have a back-up plan to the back-up plan should anything go awry, but most likely it won't. You won't be disappointed if you book this venue. -

THC had one of the most beautiful venues we visited and the upgrades made to the outdoor space are fantastic. However we did not choose to host our wedding here because of the extra fees. For example, there was an extra fee to rent the bridal suite where other places we have seen comes included in the price. So even though we could see ourselves having our wedding here, we had to pass. But we are definitely keeping this location in mind for other events.
