My (now) husband and I live in Florida. He is originally from Wisconsin so when we decided to get married in Wisconsin, we felt it was best to ask our wedding venue for all their recommendations (including hair/makeup, officiant services, hotels, catering, and DJ services). After calling many professionals and receiving several quotes, THE HITCHING POST was the one-stop-shop for me and my mom’s wedding hair and makeup!! Their communication was top notch and customer service was always at it’s very best. We didn’t have a bridal party but that wasn’t an issue because THP does small intimate weddings also! My stylist, Jasmine, was absolutely wonderful! She arrived early and even volunteered to stay a little later than expected JUST TO HELP ME WITH MY VEIL! She encouraged me to feel confident when I felt hesitant regarding “playing it safe” with my bridal makeup! I AM STILL THRILLED WE CHOSE THE GLAM LOOK! I looked perfect; like a “fancy Natalie” and not some boring bride or an over-done stranger that my fiancé wouldn’t have recognized at the alter. Just knowing she cared more than she probably needed to meant the world to me. My hair, makeup, and lashes lasted the entire wedding ceremony and reception (even the following next day)! Additionally, mom felt confident with her hair and makeup (we aren’t day-to-day hair and makeup ladies). I am grateful we chose THE HITCHING POST as our wedding hair and makeup stylists. I don’t think I would have experienced the same “dream come true” wedding if it wasn’t for Jasmine. -

I got married on April 16, 2022 in Milwaukee, WI. I had a major hair emergency that Rebecca solved! I changed my mind about the hairstyle I wanted a couple of times, and eventually landed on having Hollywood waves. I had a trial with my hair stylist at the time that didn’t quite turn out. It was only 3 weeks before my wedding when I was in need of someone. I posted in a Facebook group, and a couple people mentioned Rebecca. I contacted her, and luckily enough, she was available! She was super flexible with working with me and the last minute situation.
Rebecca said she could come to me at the Ivy House, and was comfortable doing just my hair, since my seven bridesmaids already had stylists. Fast forward to the week of my wedding… I got word that one of the hair stylists had covid and could not style four of the girls’ hair. I freaked out! I reached out to Rebecca and asked if there was any way she could style a couple of girls’ hair in addition to mine. She said it was no problem, and I can’t explain enough how relieved I was! She did such an amazing job on our hair. The Hollywood waves style is pretty specific, and she absolutely killed it. I felt like a movie star. Even though I didn’t hire Rebecca the traditional way through THP, I can say with 100% certainty that they are who you should hire for your next event! -

The Hitching Post is a team of absolute miracle workers. They totally transformed me and my girls for my big day. I have never felt more beautiful, confident, and overall INCREDIBLE than I did when they did my hair and makeup. Not only are they amazing at what they do, but they're also so much fun. I loved spending time with them and we all had a blast the morning of my wedding. Becca and Isca are incredible and I can't wait to find a reason to work with them again. Worth every penny! -

Our wedding took many detours thanks to COVID, and with a last-minute decision to have our wedding in Milwaukee with a very small guest list, I was scrambling to find new vendors. Bekky from The Hitching Post responded to my email right away with reassurance and excitement. She was responsive to all of my communication prior to our big day. On our wedding day, Bekky and Melissa were professional AND personable, with positive energy and lots of laughs. We loved spending our morning with them, and felt beautiful and confident all day. I cannot recommend The Hitching Post more highly! Thank you for helping make our day so special. -

Becky was the most professional and caring wedding vendor we worked with throughout our entire wedding! She really took the time to get to know me on a professional and personal level. She really made sure everything was perfect! The hair and makeup for myself and my entire bridal party was absolutely flawless. Becky and her team are incredibly talented and choosing her was one of the best wedding planning choices I made! I would recommend for anyone to go with them for their beauty needs! -

Love them!!
The hitching post was absolutely amazing to work with. My whole wedding party adored them. Everyone's hair and makeup looked fantastic. My makeup stayed all night. even still looked good the following morning. -

At my trial, I knew there would not be anyone that could compared! These girls were so much fun and are soo talented! They nailed my look first attempt at the trial! I felt so blessed to have them there on my wedding day. They kept everyone laughing and feeling beautiful! All of my girls and the moms loved their hair and make-up and I felt I had the perfect look for my wedding day!! Oh and if your thinking anout having lash extensions, do it! I had so many compliments!
