We got married in January 2024 and wanted something that felt unique but also allowed us flexibility to bring in our own vendors. We had so many compliments on our wedding and how beautiful the space was. The venue was so easy to work with, accommodated any of our needs and were incredibly patient. Highly recommend including the speakeasy

The Church on Main is a beautiful event space to get married! It is romantic, photogenic, and naturally beautiful. We received many compliments about the look of our wedding venue - even almost a month after our wedding. We couldn’t have chosen a better venue for what we imagined. The convenience of the bridal and groom suite and multiple bathrooms is unmatched as well. The owners of the venue are also easy to communicate with, offered a walk-through of the spaces, and answered our multiple questions leading up to our wedding. The castle-esque look of the venue is such a good choice, you will not regret booking with them!

My husband and I couldn’t have asked for a more beautiful venue! Everything was amazing! The brick walls and open rafters was a romantic touch and made our wedding feel intimate and romantic!

I knew The Church on Main would be my venue as soon as I saw the photos, and absolutely fell in love when we went for our tour. Even with changing owners in the middle of our contract, everything went super smoothly. It's definitely one of the more affordable options in the area but still so beautiful! So many guests complimented us and said it was one of the nicest weddings they've been to! I was very torn about what to do with our bridal party table since I wanted plenty of space for the dance floor, and we ended up doing it on the stage which worked out soo well! I was nervous about it, but we had the bridal party go through the buffet line first so we could finish eating first. Then the groom and I went down to greet the guests rather than them having to come to us, and a lot of people really liked that we came to them! I can't recommend The Church on Main enough! Beautiful, professional, affordable, and kind!

It took us forever to find a venue, because we needed an affordable indoor venue for ceremony and reception for a winter wedding, and were very strongly against anything remotely rustic. Then I stumbled across TCOM. An old church building, exposed brick, arched windows, lots of space, lots of options for lighting and layout...I almost didn't want to hope too much until we saw it in person because it seemed so perfect. And then we saw it in person, and pretty much immediately it was like, "Yep. This is it. This is where we're getting married." It was the perfect setting for an art deco wedding for someone who can't afford to go all out and rent the Read House! Between TCOM's decor closet and decorations from Decor 1601 we were able to bring our vision to life, creating a sort of 1920's classy speakeasy feel. The folks at TCOM were wonderful to work with. They were very accomodating, allowing us to come tour on a Saturday instead of their usual weekday because we were coming from Nashville. They let me come in a couple times in the months approaching the wedding to take some pictures and go through the decor closet to begin putting together centerpiece ideas. We didn't have any flowers or greenery at our wedding. All the big decor was taken care of by Decor 1601, and the small decor, including all our centerpieces and the gold chargers (basically everything on our tables except for linens, plates etc, and table number cards and stands) came from the Decor Closet. It's magical in there. Definitely worth the (very very small) extra cost to have access to it.
They worked with us, our caterers, and our planner to figure out and perfect a layout that worked for us. We had our ceremony in the main room, with round tables for the reception off to the side, and then guests had cocktail hour in the smaller area (B room) while the main area was flipped: round tables pulled forward, head table set up, chairs moved, etc. Then it was opened for the reception. The whole event was beautiful, and I'm so glad we went with them for our venue. They already have very reasonable pricing for their peak months, but I was getting married off-season, and so got excellent pricing and so was able to rent the space for the saturday of my wedding (Feb. 29, 2020) as well as all of Friday (starting at 10am), so we were able to have the rehearsal in the actual space, and do all of the decorating and set up on Friday so there was less for the wedding party to worry about on the actual wedding day, and so the caterers and others who had set up to do the day of were able to do that without us being in their way.

They only thing I can really warn about is that the size of the bridal suite makes it unideal for getting ready if you have even a modest bridal party. My bridesmaids and I got hair and makeup done at our hotel and then got dressed in the bridal suite at TCOM. If you have a small bridal party there is a place set up to do hair and makeup, but the room isn't very big so it could easily get crowded. It is beautiful though, and great for those final getting ready photos. It's also a good size for the bride and bridesmaids to hide away prior to the wedding, and we all felt pretty safe leaving our stuff there during the wedding.

It's just a beautiful venue that can be dressed up (as we did), or down for those who want a more rustic or shabby chic wedding feel. There is a lot to be said for a space with a lot of versatility. And the owners are great people with whom I had many delightful conversations about our cats. They were super helpful every step of the way and had a ton of advice. I definitely recommend them.

We had our ceremony and reception at The Church On Main and we loved it! From the moment we walked in to tour the venue for the first time, we knew it was perfect for our big day! It's absolutely beautiful!!!!!!!!!

Alison is so great at answering any questions I have. Being from out of town, she has given me so many referrals, answered late night emails/texts, and been above and beyond what I expected as a vendor. I'm getting married August 2020 and am so excited to continue working with her!

We had our wedding reception here and it was perfect. We had about 200 people attend our wedding and chose to just do a reception here so we wouldn't have to flip the space and send people outside during the middle of July. They do have some options for catering towards a shorter flip time, but with 200 people, we decided it would be easier to do the ceremony elsewhere. The space is gorgeous and doesn't need much decorating. We did simple lights and drapery, which was a very nice touch. The natural light as the sun set made for some great pictures throughout the night. The owners are very easy to work with and made the planning a breeze. They even have some recommended vendors, which helps when trying to make decisions. They have a decoration closet that you can add on, which is a nice touch. We had a very nice experience here!! The Church on Main was the most perfect venue for our wedding reception! The space has so much charm and character with the exposed brick and wood floors. Allison was so easy to work with and very responsive any time we had questions. We had so many people come up to us at our reception raving about how much they liked the space. I highly recommend the Church on Main!

Alison was so great to work with from the very beginning. She and I worked with my coordinator on the floor plan and layout. If using TCOM, make sure to take advantage of the decorations closet! We paid for the use of the closet ($100) and did not have to purchase a single decoration! Alison also let me take the chargers home a few days before our wedding to get them cleaned up before placing them on the tables. The space was large enough for both the ceremony and reception without a flip (100 guests), as well as plenty of space for corn hole and giant Jenga. It was even warm enough that we were able to spend time on the back patio! I can’t recommend Alison or TCOM enough!

The Church on Main was the perfect venue for my daughter's wedding. The venue is absolutely breathtaking and when paired with the talented vendors in the Chattanooga area, we couldn't have been more pleased!! Thank you also to Alison and Robert who couldn't have been more helpful!!

The quality of the venue was amazing. I enjoyed the staffing Mr & Mrs Morris. They were very helpful and answered all the questions we had. The venue is a nice size and a great price. Plenty of dressing rooms and a wonderful bridesmaid room. Thank you for all the services.

My Grandaughters wedding was just beautiful,thanks to the Church on main the draping was so beautiful it transformed the venue into an elegant gorgeous arena, ..The guests were amazed how beautiful it was..Five star rating across the board highly recommend this venue and Steve Morris the draping artist..All the staff so easy to work with,especially Alison,such a wonderful and helpful lady.

Thanks to The Church on Main I had the most magical wedding experience a bride could ask for! I engaged the staff to assist me with my wedding, and they were absolutely incredible. Overall, weddings can be stressful, but they were professional, kind, and made everything so simple for me, which I could not have appreciated more! The ceremony could not have been more beautiful, and I got tons of compliments on how pretty the venue was, which also made for super gorgeous wedding photos I get to keep forever! Overall, I would recommend The Church on Main to all of my friends for their next event!

I recently held an event at the church on main and the entire process was so painless and I couldn't have possibly asked for it to go more seamless! The owners took care of all of the behind the scenes work and were amazing with communication, they are wonderful people all around also which is just the icing on the cake. The space was clean to my liking and they recommended a phenomenal caterer. Everyone left happy and a lot of stress was off of my shoulders because of their hard work. I couldn't recommend them enough!

Gorgeous venue! Robert and Allison operate a first class venue. Simple and beautiful. Easy to work with as well. Can't wait to see all the pics from my daughter's New Year's Eve wedding.

I recently had the pleasure of coordinating a wedding held at the Church on Main! It was my first time working at this venue, and it was an amazing experience! Coming from another professional in the wedding industry I can truly say the staff was incredible and so easy to work with. They are exactly the kind of vendor I love to work with! They really made me feel at ease and answered any questions I had. The venue itself was beautiful and I would definitely recommend this space to future brides!

Alison was a true professional from the time I first contacted her for my daughter's wedding. The venue was absolutely perfect for the size of the wedding and reception, and I heard many compliments from the guests. I highly recommend The Church on Main for your event!

My daughter's wedding reception was held at The Church on Main on June 20, 2015. We were so pleased! Untouched, it is an absolutely gorgeous venue! However, when the decor (gold chivari chairs, linens, candles, flowers, draping, lighting, etc.) was added, it was transformed into such a romantic space! They were always professional and were prompt and patient in their responses to my many questions along the way; all of which means so much to a MOB who is communicating with and coordinating several different vendors! Many thanks to The Church on Main for helping to make a PERFECT evening!

First of all, my guests raved about this venue! The final setup was gorgeous!
Advice to brides:
If you are considering this venue: limit bridesmaids to 5 and have them dressed with makeup before getting to venue the bridal room is hot, small and only has one mirror with NO bathroom! There isn't a lot of indoor space for guys to hide out except in bathroom hall, so I had to hold my very full bladder until after family photos after the ceremony! Which was TORTURE!! If you're having your ceremony at venue, keep curtain open!!!! I really wished I had done this, but listened to my planners advice to close curtain, which looked bad in photos, let the venue do its thing it doesn't need the satin brown curtain! Also, put DJ in the back of the room, again I listened to my planner and put DJ next to stage which really took away from photos with the wires, and booth in all my ceremony shots:( Ask to see there light options, we had a backdrop I just happened to notice while doing our walk through, it was affordable and gorgeous! Don't forget about grassy outdoor space, I didn't notice until the day of wedding would be perfect for cornhole.
Feedback to The Church on Main
-Offer outdoor area in front of big tree for ceremonies, perfect spot! Photographers couldn’t get good shots of table décor since everyone was already sitting down when we got back from pictures Would have been nice to have the ceremony outside.
-table on right side of bridal suit would be perfect place to hang an additional mirror (against windows), I didn't see my final bridal self until I flat out asked the many ladies in the room to give me some mirror time:((
-pickup doggy poo in back grassy area next to parking lot, my dress went over the very many piles when walking around for photos, someone in that back neighborhood has a huge dog!

When I looked at this venue online I knew it was "the one" and when I walked in to tour the venue I knew I wasn't going to be going anywhere else! This was the 1st and last venue we looked at! It is beautiful all by itself - no decorations needed! Alison and Marian are so helpful and courteous and I am so happy they got a hold of this venue. The church on main has this romantic glow on the inside and it shines through to the outside of the building. The venue is well maintained and GORGEOUS! I couldn't be any happier with how our wedding turned out!

From the moment we first walked into the Church on Main, we absolutely feel in love with it. The staff and the venue itself made our special day a truly once in a lifetime experience! I would highly recommemd this venue for any event!

The Church on Main was the perfect venue for our wedding and reception. The staff were very helpful and offered excellent suggestions to help us make day unique to us. Several of my friends have also married at The Church onMain. All three of our weddings were beautiful but totally diffent.

The Church on Main is gorgeous! There's an intimate feel even though it can seat many people. With all the brick, wood, and beautiful lighting, it looked great in pictures. We had our ceremony and reception there. A curtain closes off part of the church so guests don't see your reception being set up. The rate they gave us was excellent. The venue and caterer coordinated so I didn't have to worry about where anything would be. The venue also had good vendor suggestions. I'm so glad I chose the Church on Main. It was beautiful!

The Church On Main is amazing! The church is so beauatiful that it doesn't require a lot of decorating. Our guests were so complimentary and had a wonderful time. Pam was our professional that helped us and when I say professional that is exactly what she was. We were coming from out of town so we didn't know anyone to contact to cater the meal or where to rent white chairs and all I had to do was ask. She was by my side the day of our wedding to insure I didn't get stressed and even took me to the hotel and got me a room before check in. She went that extra mile that I appreciated so much and I would highly recommend anyone in search of a wedding venue to look at The Church on Main and if you are lucky, Pam will be there for you......

The Church on Main was an excellent vendor! Perfect to work with in almost every single way. The manager, Pam, was truly delightful and so personable. She met me at the venue several times before my wedding in order for me to get measurements, show the venue to various family/wedding party members, etc. And besides all of that, the space is just BEAUTIFUL. What truly drew my husband and I to the space was how it was gorgeous all on its own. I was able to get away with minimal decorations due to the space's own beauty.

The Church on Main is a beautiful setting, with added candle light and simple flowers, and made for a cozy winter wedding. The staff are great organizers and guided us through the entire wedding process. It was a pleasure to work with Amanda and Pam. I would highly recommend this venue for your wedding.

The Church on Main was the "picture perfect" setting for our daughter's wedding ceremony and reception. The beautiful hardwood floors combined with the brick exposed walls and wood beams created an ambiance of simplistic elegance!
Such an incredible open space that allowed for endless ways to incorporate seating, furniture, embellishments and decorations to create a setting reflective of the bride and groom's personality.
Our family and friends continue to "rave" about the beauty and intimate atmosphere the venue provided.

Great venue and great staff! So happy I found the church on main!

This was the absolute perfect venue for me! I was actually the first full wedding and reception there! Newly renovated and absolutely gorgeous! The staff were VERY helpful and supportive of whatever I needed! They did a marvelous job!

The team at Church on Main was great! They were able to offer me an afforable lighting package that was a real money saver (based on other quotes I had received) and helped transform my space from a bland brick room to an over all romantic feeling.. Any email I sent I recieved a response within 24 hours. I felt this space for both ceremony and reception was a great value.

I had to pay outside of my budget to get this space, but it was beautiful and well worth it. Alison, the owner, is absolutely wonderful to work with and was always willing to talk through things with me.

Venue has a lot to offer and staff is top notch! Highly recommend.

Alison is wonderful to work with. Steve at Decor 1601 provided beautiful draping and lighting (that chandelier) for the wedding reception. Thanks for making the reception an elegant Southern celebration!

The space here is absolutely beautiful! Exposed brick throughout the three sections/rooms, beautifully tall rafted ceilings, and a lovely foyer. The space flows really well, also. You can create separate areas or have it all open. There are benefits and draw-backs to it being completely empty when you rent! We had to bring in quite a lot to really fill the space - some furniture, DJ/Booth, arch for ceremony doorway, etc. They have tables to use, which is nice, but I wasn't a fan of the chairs they have on site. We rented those, as well.

Throughout the process, the Church on Main was fairly flexible. They were quick to answer questions through email or phone and happy to let us see the space throughout the planning process if they could. We ended up paying for an extra day prior to the wedding to set everything up as they are somewhat strict on the times you can be in the venue around the event. All rentals and such have to be loaded out the same night as the event, as well.

The venue is in a cute little area of Chattanooga, but also in next to a residential area with homes and a fire station. I was first concerned with that, but they said they are usually very respectful if they know there is an event going on they won't immediately turn on their sirens! Never a had a problem with that and the location was so close to downtown!

Overall, we loved being able to have our smaller wedding & reception (100 people) in the same venue! It was incredibly intimate and beautiful and a special memory we'll have forever!

Gorgeous Venue. I wish the bridal room was little bigger with a bathroom upstair. Overall very happy.

The Church on Main is a beautiful and cool venue. The team of coordinators do a good job in answering questions and helping with the planning details. The venue is perfect for a party of 100 to 150 and the venue has relationships with several local vendors who are familiar with the venue which is helpful. Parking is the most challenging aspect of the venue.

The venue is BEAUTIFUL! I love the Church on Main! I originally met with Pam; however, at some point during the process, she "stepped back". I was never informed of this until I emailed asking a question. I was then contacted by another person. Then another. I emailed them my day of insurance (which they require) and they contacted me back to thank me for it. Then turned around and told my coordinator that they didn't have it. When I did a walk through with my caterer in November, they said they had his licenses on file. They told my coordinator a couple weeks before the ceremony that they needed his licenses. It just seemed a bit unorganized prior to the day of. However, Marion (my final contact) was very helpful. She let us drop off the wedding cake the day before (my baker didn't deliver on Saturdays) which was above and beyond. Everything ran smoothly on the day of and everyone loved the venue. Thanks!

The Church on Main was a beautiful place for a reception. In my opinion, it would be too small too host both a wedding and a reception. We had our ceremony at a separate location.

The Church on Main was an absolutely beautiful place to have my wedding. Pictures turning out amazingly, and everyone complimented us on how unique and cool the space was.

The venue is gorgeous. We loved our wedding, and overall, it turned out well. However, the venue was not the easiest to work with. During the nine months that I spent planning, the person that would be at the venue on the day of my wedding changed three times. I was not contacted about it when it changed. I was just told whenever I asked about something else. I did not meet the person there to represent the venue until the day of the wedding. We were reminded an hour and a half before the end of our contracted time that we needed to leave soon and to wrap it up. We left as quickly as possible trying to get everything we brought. We left the top of the cake which was thrown away by the cleaning crew. On the day of the rehearsal we were also pushed out the door. I didn't even have my phone or keys to my car. This is a beautiful place, but I would not recommend it to anyone who does not have a wedding coordinator.

I have contemplated on whether or not I should write a review about my experiences with the event owner, Alison. It wasn't pleasant. It's unlike me to be negative about anyone especially the times we all live in. So everything I say will counter what she claims to offer at her venue. Her communication skills, as a business owner, lack professionalism. As a matter of fact she is down right nasty.
Here's what she claims to offer:

Services Offered
Every wedding held at The Church on Main Street is bound to be unique because each couple has the freedom to select all their own vendors and decor. You can create your dream wedding, down to the last detail. To make your day stress-free and joyful, The Church on Main Street provides set up, clean up, linens, event rentals, lighting and sound, a dance floor, and optional decor. They also welcome outside vendors, including bartenders.

If you don't use her suggested vendors she will tell you you "can" use the food warmer but if it breaks you buy a new one.

She told me to rent a deep freeze for ice because she doesn't have one. There's one in the back that works.

If you ask about balloons outside venue she'll tell you it will cost 750 dollars to get down from the ceiling if brought inside.

Somehow she messed up the bride and grooms table arrangement and left no black tablecloths in the building. I did; however, solved the problem.

She claims she offers clean up services...you pay for cleaning crew. It's in the contract. Alison told us we had to sweep and mop at least the kitchen area....

I choose to use her gold chargers in decor closet. 100$ fee. She requested they be rinsed afterwards, which we did. However, most of the chargers in her closet were crusted with dried food, yuck!

She offers linens but only black. It saves on overhead because white dirty ones have to be replaced.

All the venue offers is the beautiful building, up lighting, two choices in chairs, chair covers, decor closet, brides/bridesmaids room upstairs that did have a mirror and chairs. Outside tables for porch. They will set up tables and break them down, at least they did at our event. The building needs to be cleared and cleaned lights off and doors locked around 11:00. I have heard from others that used the venue she is there all night mingling and eating food. She wasn't there, her poor husband was in the back eating.

Albeit the issues I had with the owner the wedding was wonderful. Our guest had a great time dancing all night. The bartender (Black Tie Affair) was professional and the DJ was super!!! He even led dances on the floor. I believe his last name was, Haywood.

In lieu of dealing with Alison I choose to stop all communication with her and let my daughter ask questions via e-mail. Besides coordinating the wedding I have a son in Kabul, as I type, who is getting the people out of the Embassy,. Mega stressor. My father-in-law recently died and my mother-in-law had a stroke and is non responsive. I have to find a happy place and peace. I choose to smile and even believe Alison may have behaved in this unpleasant manner because something is going on in her life too. I hope it's a rare thing and she treats her clients with respect and courtesy. It would behoove her , she does deal with people.
