We recently had our wedding ceremony at San Luis Point Lighthouse and it was amazing! The entire planning process was smooth. Deb Foughty was extremely responsive, accommodating and helpful. By the day of the event, I felt confident that it was going to be perfect. Our guested were amazed as we drove up the windy hill to get to the lighthouse, with the expansive views. The ceremony site is on a second tier of the property and looks out to the ocean like an infinity pool. I cannot say enough good things about the location as well as Deb. -

User2520102 Sent on 01/27/2016Love! The Point San Luis Lighthouse was the perfect venue for our ceremony and reception for our small 18 person family wedding.
We had our wedding in January so were thrilled that the venue had beautiful indoor as well as outdoor locations all with stunning views.
The historic venue gives you the feeling of being surrounded by nature but with all the modern conveniences of running water, electricity and a kitchen etc.
Our guests ranged from 3 to 94 and the venue had something for everyone. The venue is handicap accessible which was great for my grandma. They had wheelchair onsite and a docent even helped her in and out the trolley! The kids had plenty of space to run around. And everyone enjoyed the views, lighthouse and swing
For such a small wedding, the lighthouse had all the chairs, tables, linens, glasses, plates etc that we needed! They even set everything up, which made planning easy and stress free.
Deb from the Lighthouse was a pleasure to work with and made sure our dream wedding happened! She even checked in with me a couple days before the wedding to see if there were any changes to our plan. Deb is excellent with little details! Thank you Deb. She also came up with a tasty spread of appetizers for our reception. She was flexible to create a menu which included many delicious options for our vegetarian family members.
To top it all off, the lighthouse has so many wonderful docents volunteering for them that also helped out on our wedding day, giving the lighthouse tour and just helping out where needed. Everyone was so warm and friendly and really excited about our wedding! We could not have asked for more. -

Victoria Sent on 11/08/2014There truly isn't a more beautiful place to be married. We're so happy to have found the lighthouse and have made it the location of our perfect day. Kristi, the coordinator and ED of the lighthouse, is excellent and all our guests had their breath taken away as soon as they arrived. We had a small (70 person wedding) and the size of the site couldn't have been more perfect. Note that there are some extra tricky logistics in getting up and down to the private site via private road. But SO worth it. And it made us feel even better that our site fee went directly to support such an amazing historical site. -
User1398172 Sent on 10/24/2013We recently got married at the Point San Luis Lighthouse in September. Let me start off by saying, the views at this place are gorgeous!!
If you are looking to have your wedding overlooking the pristine waters of the central coast, this is the place for you. Additionally, if you want a place with history and character, this is the place for you. An added bonus is that this is a non-profit organization that takes the money from the venue fees and puts it back into restoring this important historic lighthouse!
Well, its in a secluded location only accessible by trolley/vans that will shuttle your guests onto the property. Something that is a one of a kind experience for your guests.
Kristi, the site coordinator was great to work with. She was very accommodating throughout the planning process and the day of the wedding. I told her what I wanted and she worked hard along with my wedding planner (Sarah Angelique) to make it happen. Our wedding was completely outdoors. Even though the lighthouse had never had a wedding in that manner (they have a banquet hall for an indoor dinner) or the size of ours (130-140 people) before, they made my vision a reality and it was perfect!!!
I highly recommend you consider this venue even if its not one of the traditional venues in the area. It will not disappoint you!
I do highly recommend contracting a wedding planner to help with coordination at this venue and give ideas on how to set it up to your preference. I strongly recommend Sarah Angelique (my wedding planner) because she has developed a close relationship with Kristi and understands the inner workings of coordinating this type of event at this particular venue! She did an amazing job with our wedding, we couldn't be happier!
We saw the potential at this venue and it delivered exactly what we wanted.
Thank you Point San Luis Lighthouse for making our wedding day perfect and unforgettable. We will be back to visit very soon!!
