Wonderful wedding
Amanda, you were amazingly patient and helpful throughout the beginning at the process through when Natalie took over. Natalie, I knew that we were in good hands after meeting you at the final meeting. Throughout the whole wedding day, Natalie took the time to make sure that Michael and I are OK and also my mother as the first friends in our group getting married, we didn’t know what to expect. Natalie made everything go super smooth, and we had no worries throughout the entire wedding.-

Highly recommend this beautiful venue
Cannot recommend this place enough! It is beautiful, spacious, and reasonably priced. We decided to scale back our wedding around July from 175 to 25. We had a scheduled meeting with our wedding coordinator Leigh around that time and discussed our options with her. They were more than accommodating! We were able to pick a new date for the reception (10-09-21) with extended family and friends but got to keep our original date (10-10-20) to have a small ceremony. It was lovely to say the least- chairs set up socially distanced, refreshments left out, access to the bridal suite and bathrooms inside. We are so excited to have our reception with them later this year! We had our tasting this past fall and the food was absolutely delicious! Chef even came out to talk to us at the end and answered all of our questions. To sum it up- you cannot go wrong with this company! This is not their only wedding venue by the way. I have personally seen Barn on Bridge and it was beautiful as well!-

The High Point absolutely was the perfect venue for our perfect wedding day! It's a gorgeous building located on beautiful grounds that feel so private. We were looking for a place that had rustic elegance and we were drawn to the simple beauty of the Bank Barn. We also had our ceremony in the historic church right next door, and that made the whole day so seamless. The coordinator, Gail Malcolm, was wonderful - super accommodating over the course of the year that we planned for the day. We live in Seattle, and she was amazing about working around our travel plans and being available via phone and email. One of the best things about the High Point is that they only have one wedding a weekend, and they give you time to set up the day before. I was able to get all of my decorations and flowers ready to go before the rehearsal, which really helped with my stress levels! At the High Point, they also have a list of approved caterers, which ended up being a huge blessing to me. Through that list, I found Serock Catering and they were incredible (plus they were familiar with the space and gave me tons of great planning tips). Another bonus was the back patio where we were able to have our cocktail hour outside. It was a gorgeous June evening and everybody loved chatting and having wine outside before the reception started!
We are so happy that we went with the High Point. It's such a unique place and the people there are so helpful and kind!

The High Point was one of many venues that I contacted but was the only one I ended up touring...we knew it was the perfect place for our wedding. Gail Malcolm became the new Marketing and Event Coordinator about 6 months before my wedding and she did not skip a beat in catching up to speed with all the plans for my wedding. She and Eman Twereet were extremely helpful throughout the whole planning process and were always happy and willing to allow me to stop by the venue in order to make plans for our decor. The fact that the High Point only holds one wedding really allows them to focus on your event. Being able to set up our reception the day before was a HUGE money saver. We did not have to hire a day of coordinator because we were able to do all our decorating the day before and Gail was available during my entire event to help with anything that came up. We also were able to do our center piece floral arrangements ourselves during the day before set up time...also a HUGE money saver!
The High Point is a stunning and unique venue with a lot of history. Gail went above and beyond the day of the wedding to ensure that our event went off without a hitch. Our wedding day was truly perfect and we are so grateful for all the memories we have thanks to the High Point. -

The High Point was the only venue my now husband and I actually visited - but knew it was the place for us right away. We loved the wood, high ceilings and windows over looking the lawn. During the planning, they were especially easy to work with, from the very early walk-through to the wedding day. The day-of went perfectly - we could not have been happier with how things turned out. Definitely happy with our decision and would highly recommend The High Point.

Our family had a lovely and memorable experience at The High Point, where our daughter's wedding ceremony and reception were held this past summer. We will be forever grateful. The venue is simple, yet equisite, and sits atop a soft hill overlooking beautiful Chester County.
Donna, the marketing director, was thorough and professional from the day we met her for the first tour of the property. She was sincere and thoughtful in her feedback and insights along the way. Her additional team members... Mary Ann, Molly and Eman, were a delight to work with the day of the wedding.
What we liked most about this location was their care of the property, used for worship by the parish, yet shared with the community for events such as ours. The ceremony was extremely important to the bride and groom, and The High Point was flexible to allow for the time needed -- they reserve just one wedding a weekend, which allowed us to set up the day before -- this was very helpful to the bride as she had planned many creative touches herself.
The location allows both an indoor(main room) and outdoor (lower patio) options for creative use during the event. Please consider...caterers must be approved by The High Point, and there is no oven or dishwasher/limited kitchen. Another consideration is that this is truly a DIY venue... although with that comes the blessing of being able to be unique and creative, and have an event truly personal.
We cannot thank the entire staff at The High Point enough... many blessings on your work and care of this beautiful location!

If we could give them 6 out of 5 stars we would! Their website does not do them any justice; The High Point is a beautiful venue! It is just remote enough that you don't feel like you are in the Philadelphia metro area anymore, yet it's only minutes from an assortment of hotels and the turnpike. The recently built bank barn sits on the hillside of historic church grounds and overlooks a vast wooded area. The wood interior is fantastic and requires very little decoration. Guests have great views of the surrounding hillside.
The staff is also AMAZING. Donna, the marketing director, is very professional and informative. She was a great help and very straightforward with us throughout the whole process. She ensured the proper staff would be available for our setup the day before and for the event itself. Eman, the event supervisor, was FANTASTIC. She was very courteous and professional, and looked to ensure all of our guests were having the perfect evening. There was not a detail that she overlooked and she even helped coordinate for our shuttle to arrive prior to the end of the evening so that some of our guests could get back to the hotel earlier.
Thanks to The High Point and their staff, our reception was memorable for us and all of our family and guests! -

The High Point was a great alternative to your traditional hall weddings, at a very reasonable cost. Everyone was super impressed with the place and couldn't stop talking about how beautiful it was. Being able to have the cocktail hour inside and outside was also pretty cool. We even had lawn games set up during it, which the guests loved! We were also able to have our pictures done right there on their property, which was very convenient. The pictures came out gorgeous! Not only do they have acres and acres of beautiful land, they also have a historical church that we were able to get pictures in front of.
Also, Donna was super easy to work with and was always available! The place is DIY, however, she recommended awesome vendors, which made the process so much easier. She also let us come back several times to just look around, so I could come up with more decorative ideas.
If you want a wedding that people will not only always remember, but rave about constantly, pick the High Point as your venue!! -

The venue itself exquisitely beautiful, the people who work there are kind and accommodating, the landscape around the venue is stunning in any season and it's very, very reasonably priced
The High Point was a huge part of making our wedding day as special as it was. If you are looking for the perfect venue for your wedding, look no further. You've already found it. -

The High Point is a beautiful bank barn nestled in a secluded setting in Chester County. A beautiful historic church adds to the charm of this venue. I am the mother of the bride, and my daughter and I fell in love with The High Point. We had looked at other venues, mostly historic homes, but we would have no other venue after we saw The High Point. Donna was wonderful to work with, made our event stress free. We had two attendants on the day of the wedding who were just so sweet and responsive. I don't think we could have found a better venue for our reception. We had so many compliments from our guests. I would give 10 stars if I could.

We loved our wedding reception at the High Point! The venue is so beautiful, both inside and out. The hardwood floors, wooden beams, and wall of windows overlooking the beautiful grounds made for such a simple, but elegant space.

Donna (the event organizer at the High Point) was so easy to work with! In the beginning of our planning process, there was an unexpected date and time change, which she handled within minutes.
In addition, we did a lot of "do-it-yourself" projects, and since we were allowed to set up on Friday morning for our event on Saturday, it made the whole set-up so easy. We went Friday morning, put together the reception hall with the catering company, and it made the rest of the rehearsal and wedding day go so smoothly.
Donna and her team were all very professional, and were so helpful the day of the wedding. They were there making sure everything ran on time and was set up and cleaned up right when it needed to be. Also, the reception hall itself is absolutely beautiful. We had our cocktail hour outside, and it worked out perfectly. We got so many compliments from people about how nice it was to have such an open facility with beautiful wood details, and also just tucked away from everything. My husband and I were so happy with our choice to have our reception at The High Point- it was everything we were looking for. -

My entire expertise with The High Point was wonderful. Donna was prompt to respond to all my questions and pleasure to work with as was the rest of the stuff. The setting is beautiful all the guests complimented the site; we took all our wedding pictures on the property. It feels tucked away, but is very close to most major roads and has several hotels. I absolutely loved the flexibility of The High Point. Most venues looked at for our reception forced you to use in-house catering or from a set list. Here I had the chance to bring in the caterer, band, and florist of my choosing. I even had the opportunity to go the day before and decorate myself (a huge savings). -

My wedding reception was held at the High Point this August. Donna was so responsive and helpful during the planning stages; She was flexible, honest and adaptable to ever-changing ideas and plans.
The setting was just beautiful! We didn't have to take pictures elsewhere, which made planning the big day so much easier! Our guests loved the location and were surprised to find such a jem tucked away in the hills of Chester County.
From the onset of planning to the wedding day itself Donna and her staff were thoughtful and supportive. They brought a warm, personal touch to all of the planning and business arrangements that needed to be made. Donna also had a solid working relationship with a number of other vendors in the area (hotels, shuttles, rental companies) so cooperation was simple and care-free.
I would highly recommend The High Point for any event. I thoroughly enjoyed my wedding day and would do it again in a minute! -

The High Point is first of all, a beautiful place to have a wedding or other function. We had trouble finding the right place to have our reception that fit within our dates, budget and met our expectations. The High Point did not have everything we wanted, but instead we made it everything we wanted. The High Point does not come with a full kitchen, chairs, dance floor as well as other items that may be available at most other venues and is certainly not full service. This made us leery but they had a good list of vendors they use that provide these functions and knew the facility well. Donna, the High Point coordinator, was very flexible in speaking with the vendors to make any arrangements. This set us at ease throughout the process especially with things being potentially complicated. Between Donna and our vendors, we didn't have to worry about anything the day of our wedding. We do wish that we could have gone until 11:00 pm instead of 10:00 pm to give some extra time in breaking down. The price was reasonable given that we had to provide a lot of the amenities to the venue. Overall we had a great experience at the High Point and would recommend it. -

After looking at other local venues my groom and I fell in love with the Bank Barn and the grounds at the High Point. It is the perfect space if you want the look of a barn/rustic space but with modern amenities like AC and no hay bales. We loved that we were able to chose our own caterer, do our own decorations the day before, and that there was indoor and outdoor space. Gail was easy to work with and very accommodating. She even allowed our 15 year old dog at our reception because the High Point is dog/pet friendly. The only negatives we found were that the we wish there was a paved outdoor walkway to the patio space, that the cocktail room was less plain and school room like, and the other negative was that it the base price was a little expensive to have additional costs added on, like chairs, insurance, and a dance floor. That being said we are so glad to have had our wedding reception at the High Point and would definitely recommend it.-

The High Point Venue is so much more than one space. The patio outside the bank barn is a beautiful setting for cocktail hour. The historic church makes a beautiful backdrop for photos. Being around the corner from Great Valley Corporate Center and major highways makes the location convenient for guests to find, and High Point is a secluded setting in the midst of the hustle and bustle.
The bank barn itself is such a flexible space. The wooden architecture is simple yet elegantly understated, and does not require extensive decor to feel well-decorated. Natural light streams through large windows during day and afternoon hours. I would absolutely recommend the High Point for a bride who is not enamored by old country-club carpets or curtains, but one who wants the amenities of climate control, beautiful grounds and convenient location.
N.B. My ceremony was held at my home church nearby, so I cannot speak explicitly to ceremony options of the High Point.
Sincerely,
June 2016 bride -

Excellent picture taking venue-- The High Point was a perfect place to have our reception venue. The barn atop the hill is very pastoral, and the inside has beautiful wooden floors, vaulted ceilings and wooden beams. Large windows along both walls in the hall provide great lighting and a natural feel (no hotel conference room!). We were very lucky to have a beautiful day to take pictures on the grounds.
Excellent personnel-- We worked with Donna and Imam. Imam was our 'day of' person and she was very professional and accommodating. She wasn't like your typical vendor, she felt like an aunt, she was so kind.
Drawbacks-- Cocktail hour rooms downstairs leave a bit to be desired. There is a beautiful patio, but that is only accessible on nice weather days. The High Point advertises it can fit up to 200-250 people. That is crazy. We had 160 and it felt snug. It was a good size for our wedding, but I would be uncomfortable having more than 175 in that room.

I want to start with the positives. The venue was absolutely gorgeous and was exactly what I was looking for. It was large and had plenty of space to be up and moving around. At the end of the night, volunteers help the catering team with tear down which is an added bonus. And the set up the day before is a big weight off your shoulders, you don't have to hire outside help to set up if you are more of a DIY bride.
Now the not so positives. I thought the price was still a little high, especially since the cocktail room is a plain Sunday school room. Gail was good to work with at times, however she was too in my face at my wedding. For example she told my mother in law that she was concerned my husband was too drunk to drive at 8:30P when our wedding ended at 10P and she came up to me in the middle of my reception to ask who was going to help take the lights down, when one of her volunteers ended up doing it anyway. I didn't enjoy that the day of the wedding but the day before with set up she was very helpful and with the pre planning. She is a nice woman, however I felt she should not have been bothering my husband and I with small details the night of our wedding.
That being said, overall I would recommend The High Point. Everything ended up being gorgeous and I am thrilled with how it all turned out. -

We really loved having our wedding at The High Point. For us, the biggest selling point was the fact that there was a church and reception venue on the same sight. This alleviated so many extra costs/logistics and the guests definitely appreciated it. Plus, the church is absolutely gorgeous and so quaint. It is really a beautiful venue and the area is nice in that The High Point itself is tucked away but it's close to the highway making it easy for guests to arrive + lots of hotel/restaurant options near-by. The staff is also great since they are Christian individuals and not just in the business to sell you a product. There was a bit of a confusion since the marketing director switched over in the middle of our planning process, but it all worked out in the end. Overall it was pretty reasonable but as one reviewer mentioned, there are a lot of added expenses since it's largely DIY so that's something to take into consideration. They provide you with a pre-selected list of caterers that is not too extensive- you can choose to find your own, but I believe there is an extra cost associated with that and you have to get it approved. It also was a bit of a bummer having to do clean-up on the evening of the reception, but I understand why (they have church services there in the morning) and they were very flexible with us. Overall we were very happy with our venue selection and definitely recommend it to others. The marketing director and the event coordinator are both there on the wedding day which really helps the process run smoothly. You essentially have a built-in wedding planner! -

The High Point was a beautiful reception venue for us. It is a gorgeous location and we decorated the inside of the barn with string lights which gave our reception a magical feel. In the end, we had a beautiful wedding and things went smoothly the day-of. However, in the planning process we had some issues with the High Point which, if we could do it over, may mean we would pick another venue. The High Point is up front that they do not provide a caterer, dance floor, chairs, DJ, etc. We were fine with that, but soon discovered it caused more complications in dealing with multiple vendors, as opposed to a country club, for example, where all services would be provided. Also, the High Point has a list of approved caterers, but they were too pricy for us. The High Point allowed us to use another caterer, but it was an involved and difficult process to get them approved. They also gave us a limited time for set up the day before the wedding without flexibility. They are very professional and quick to respond to emails, which we appreciated. But overall, we felt like they were more insistent on rules than on customer service. -
