Josh was so easy to work with, professional, and picked up on what we wanted very quickly. All of his equipment worked without a single issue, something I didn't really think about until the day of when I realized everyone important for our day needed a mic. We wanted an awesome dance floor at our wedding and got exactly that. We had so much fun we didn't stop dancing to cut our cake. Would absolutely hire him again. -

From the very first consultation to the last song of the night, DJ Sway absolutely knocked it out of the park. We cannot recommend him enough! From day one, he came prepared with everything — timeline, song lists, equipment & lighting, backup plans — you name it. He took the time to really listen to what we envisioned for our big day and made it a reality. No detail was too small. He remembered every request, every "do not play," and every special moment we wanted highlighted throughout the evening. Whenever we had a question or a last-minute change, he was always just a call away. During the actual reception, he read the room effortlessly, keeping the energy high, transitioning seamlessly between songs and genre. The dance floor was packed all night long! If you're looking for a DJ who is professional, detail-oriented, and genuinely invested in making your day unforgettable — look no further. We'd hire DJ Sway again in a heartbeat! -

We worked with Josh for our December wedding and he was fantastic: responsiveness, detail-oriented, and a master of reading the room (dance floor). Every transition in sound services from our ceremony, reception, and final private dance was seamless. We highly recommend Josh for a worry-free party that kept the dance floor moving and grooving through higher energy and slower, romantic songs. -

We can’t say enough good things about Josh and the Headliner Group! From start to finish, Josh was an absolute pro and a huge part of what made our wedding day so special. He crushed the emcee role - everything ran seamlessly, from the AV setup and transitions to the timing of speeches and introductions.
And the music… AMAZING. Josh brought the vibes. Every transition was smooth, every song hit just right, and he kept the dance floor packed all night. Our guests are still talking about how much fun they had.
Josh was also incredibly flexible and easy to work with, even when we sent over some last-minute song edits and requests. He handled it all with a smile and made sure the night felt completely personalized to us.
On top of all that, the value was unbeatable - especially compared to other DC-area DJs. For the level of professionalism, energy, and care Josh brought, we honestly couldn’t believe how reasonable the pricing was.

Wow! If you're looking for the absolute best entertainment for your wedding, look no further than DJ Sway and Emcee Adrian. They were, without a doubt, one of the highlights of our entire wedding day! From the moment the reception started until the very last song, they had everyone on their feet, dancing and celebrating.
DJ Sway's music selection was impeccable. He masterfully read the room, keeping the energy levels high and the dance floor packed all night long. He seamlessly transitioned between genres, ensuring there was something for everyone, and his mixes were absolutely flawless. Our guests are still raving about how much fun they had dancing!
And Adrian, our incredible Emcee, was simply outstanding. He had the perfect balance of charisma, humor, and professionalism. He kept the flow of the evening smooth and organized, making all the announcements with perfect timing and a fantastic energy. He truly engaged with our guests and made everyone feel included and excited. He wasn't just an Emcee; he was an integral part of the party!
Together, DJ Sway and Adrian are a powerhouse team. They truly understood our vision for the night and executed it flawlessly. Their communication leading up to the wedding was excellent, and on the day itself, they exceeded all our expectations. We couldn't have asked for a better DJ and Emcee. I had the pleasure of working with The Headliner Group for a wedding this past weekend, and they were fantastic. Coordinating logistics with the owner, Josh, leading up to the event was seamless and professional. On the big day, Chris Garcia, the Sax Beast, owned the cocktail hour with his incredible performance. He was amazing! DJ Styles kept the guests on the dance floor throughout the reception, ensuring the entertainment was a hit. Highly recommend The Headliner Group for top-notch event entertainment! -

DJ Sway did an amazing job at our wedding. Our families aren't the biggest dancing crowd so we were worried about how the dance floor was going to turn out, however everyone was on their feet at our wedding dancing and having a great time! DJ Sway was able to read the room and adjust the music accordingly. He is also a great DJ and the mixes he put together were really unique and lively. We received a lot of compliments on the music and the crowded dance floor was proof of the awesome job he did! I would definitely recommend DJ Sway for any wedding. You are in great hands! -

DJ Sway was phenomenal from start to finish. He was very easy going (great if you are a stressed bride ;) ) and helped put together a timeline, playlists, and gave some ideas when we were stumped. We emailed back and forth with a few ideas and he jumped on the phone when we needed.
He worked with our coordinator to make sure his timeline fit into our over run of show, which eased a lot of our worries and gave us a good understanding of how the day would go.
He was on time, professional, and everything sounded great. I believe he also worked w/ our videographer to make sure our microphones were set up correctly.
The ceremony was perfect.
The reception was also incredible - maybe I am biased because it was my wedding lol - but he played all the songs we requested and effortlessly created playlists that fit out crowd. The dance floor was bumping all night. What I particularly loved was that he made sure bride/groom were on the dancefloor for the songs we requested. I have been to other weddings where the bride/groom say they never heard the songs they asked for - and it seems their DJs played them when they weren't there.
Honestly, 10/10, 5 stars everywhere, DJ Sway really helped set the tone for the night and created a memorable wedding for us and our guests. -

DJ Sway (aka Josh) was so awesome. Not only was he friendly, but so knowledgeable and responded to my emails/questions super fast. He provided an example timeline to help me plan my wedding playlist (which is optional- he can pick as little or as many songs as you want!). Josh took the time to edit a few songs to make them perfect for our first dance, etc. He also helped us secure a phot booth, which was a huge hit. I can't say enough good things about him - you won't regret hiring him !! -

DJ Sway was an incredible addition to our wedding! We gave him limited direction and he really delivered beyond our expectations. We had several people comment on how they “actually” loved our DJ and his music selection and transitions were fantastic -since wedding DJs can be so hit or miss. Josh was DEFINITELY a hit!!! He also provided us with uplighting and dance lights at a very reasonable price for add-on’s to his package. He was responsive, professional, accommodating, and easy going through our whole planning process. Highly recommend hiring DJ sway for your big day! -

We had a fabulous reception hosted by Josh. We were happy from start to finish. We met with Josh in advance and gave him our schedule, a list of key songs, and a list of songs for inspiration. He nailed it. We had guests of all ages and we like to dance. Josh's mix and lighting kept the energy up and the crowd happy. Beat matching was excellent, and the music was organized with a great flow. The event moved seamlessly throughout our schedule. We received lots of compliments after the ceremony on the music. Coordinating with Josh was a complete breeze- which turned out to be really important. During the event, he made a point to check in with us at key moments, but also took initiative coordinating with the venue/caterer to keep things off of our plate. I would hire him again, and I would recommend him for your event. -

DJ Sway provided his services for our intimate wedding. He brought the music and the vibe! He spent time getting to know us beforehand: our musical tastes, personality, the expected guests. And everything flowed from there. Our guests were pleased and enjoyed the night.

Josh knocked it out of the park from beginning to end - seriously! He skyped with Alexis and I to get an idea of what we envisioned for a DJ at our wedding, sent over an incredibly detailed template for us to work with and walked us through all the way to the big day. And here’s the kicker - we didn’t have power at the venue due to Hurricane Michael and had to run off of generators for the ceremony and reception. You obviously can’t plan for everything, but Josh was quick on his feet to improvise and make everything work. Job well done, would recommend to any couple looking for professionalism, experience and a personable DJ/MC for their big day! -

Josh/DJ Sway guided us through the planning process for the reception music and a photobooth, and his attention to detail and his easy flexibility when we needed to make changes was very helpful. He also laid out what was needed on his side in a clear, step-by-step way for us. During the reception, guests loved how our DJ, Mr. Styles, read the room and amped up the energy when appropriate, and brought it down when needed. We had a wide range of ages, and Mr. Styles was great about pulling from our sprawling playlist to give every generation something to sing along with. Only minor detail was that some guests did request at a few times that the volume come down to better calibrate with our space. We also got a download of all of the photos from the photobooth which was a fun post-wedding treat! -

It was great working with Josh in preparation for the big day. He was responsive, organized, and accommodated changes to our music template prior to the big day. We also really appreciated his flexibility to last minute requests our violinist asked for a couple days before the wedding.
One area of feedback we had was that we didn’t receive a lavalier mic or mic of any kind that picked up audio for my husband and I during the ceremony. Many of our guests beyond the first couple of rows told us after that they could not hear my husband and I. The only person that had a mic was the officiant but she did not point it towards us during our vows so I’m not sure where and how the ball was dropped. We received a mic on my husband’s lapel, which I thought was to pick up the audio so our guests could hear us. When I didn’t hear any audio pick up, I assumed it was a malfunction but was later told that the one lapel mic we had was provided solely by videography.
There were a couple of requests from my husband and I for impromptu songs. He accommodated these requests but only after telling us he needed to stick to the playlist provided by us. Based on what we were told as well as body language, we felt that Josh wasn’t very thrilled to go off the playlist. If it was communicated in advance that impromptu song requests were not accepted or challenging, we would not have asked the day of or would just go with another vendor.
We still had an amazing day and did enjoy every part of wedding. We know that our day wouldn’t have been possible without Josh and all of our other vendors. We appreciate Josh’s expertise and support on our big day. We hope that our feedback is constructive and helps both the vendor and future couples.
