Energetic & Awesome

They were AWESOME. Pierre’s energy was contagious and he jumped down into the crowd a few times which everyone loved! We would recommend them to anyone. We opted to add a saxophone for an additional charge. They provided all their own equipment. Pierre was a great emcee too for introductions, cake cutting, last call, etc.

Absolutely Fabulous!

Groove Motive was amazing!!

The band brought so much life to our wedding! There energy was something we loved the most! They danced with our guests and encouraged them to have fun. The day of the wedding was a breeze because they were so easy to work with and followed our timeline. We couldn't have asked for a better group to play at our wedding!

Fantastic 50th anniversary band!

Groove Motive played for my parents 50th wedding anniversary party. They played music my parents remembered and many friends and family enjoyed dancing and listening to the band. Thank you!

Amazing! We were so lucky!!

Groove Motive MADE our wedding! The music was incredible! Pierre was so inclusive with guests and created the exact type of atmosphere we were looking for. Kelly has an out of this world voice. Groove Motive is hands-down THE BEST band!

We absolutely LOVED Groove Motive, Pierre and Kelly were amazing to work with and they brought the energy to the dance floor! EVERYONE at our wedding was on the dance floor - laughing and singing! Our favorite photos from that night are of our guests enjoying their time out there - it was completely packed and all because of them! I HIGHLY recommend them - you cannot get a better band- thanks for everything on our wedding night! You all truly were a blessing to work with!

Groove Motive was AMAZING!

Amazing!! Great music! Great performance! Had guests up dancing that said they had not danced in 20 years. Fun from beginning to end. Very professional and accommodating to work with. A perfect evening - great experience with Groove Motive!!!!!

Groove Motive Band Leader Pierre is GREAT!

Groove Motive has performed for our group at two consecutive New Year's Eve Galas and the attendees have been impressed both times. Pierre is a fantastic singer and super entertainer; and our group would invite him back in the future.

AMAZING wedding band!

Groove Motive performed at our wedding last weekend and absolutely killed it! Pierre and the gang put together a perfect setlist, engaged the crowd to keep everyone entertained, and sounded amazing on every single song. We have gotten endless compliments on our band selection and we couldn't agree more! Already talking about what the next event is that we can have them back!

The Groove Motive made my daughter’s wedding day better than we could imagine!!! Pierre went above and beyond! The Groove Motive was the highlight of my wedding!! The reviews and the videos just do not do them justice. They are incredible. Talented and professional. They kept the crowd engaged and definitely knew how to read them.
The band did not take a SINGLE BREAK and kept the entire party dancing!
I cannot say enough great things about them. They went above and beyond what I could have imagined. I had multiple guests asking where I found them and how to get them for their future events.

AMAZING all around! The Groove Motive is fun, full of energy and so talented! The band played at our wedding reception in May 2018 at Meadowbrook Country Club. In the weeks leading up to our wedding, Pierre was attentive, flexible, and offered great suggestions as we planned our wedding. He made the planning process easy and let us know that the band's top priority was to make sure we had an unforgettable celebration. They were extremely professional and had excellent showmanship. The band kept our guests out on the dance floor all night! It was a blast! Our family and friends are still talking about how much fun the band was! Choosing The Groove Motive was one of the best decisions we made in all of our wedding planning! This group is fantastic!

Groove Motive is hands-down the BEST band out there! Groove Motive played for our wedding 3 weeks ago and friends and family are STILL telling us how fantastic the band was. They played the perfect list of songs to get every single person dancing from the start. We needed a bigger dance floor! All the guests complimented how energetic and interactive the band members were with the audience. They even got my husband to play a set on the drums! The band will do everything and anything in their power to ensure that you get 100% exactly what you want. They are outstanding, talented musicians and each member is so incredibly gracious and eager to make the night unforgettable for you. I couldn't be more grateful for all the love and energy of Groove Motive that made the night magical for everyone in the room. You'd be crazy to not hire Groove Motive!

We had an awesome wedding and The Groove Motive was fantastic. Pierre had us ALL dancing and grooving. Everyone raved about how awesome they were. They were great and gave us everything we asked for.

I can't say enough about The Groove Motive! I've been looking at pictures and videos my wedding guests took and every single one of them shows a full dance floor, which means the music was top notch. Several of my guests made a point to come up and tell me that the Groove Motive was the best wedding band they had ever heard. I happen to agree completely. Pierre, the band leader and vocalist, was so professional and fun. He knew how to read the crowd and play the kind of songs that people wanted to hear. Great job!!!

We booked them for our wedding on 11/04/17 and they were awesome! The dance floor was full all night long! The band was full of energy and got the crowd involved, everyone loved them!

If you are looking for an amazing wedding band, look no further! These guys are awesome and really know how to keep the crowd going. We were looking for a group that played the classics and were full of energy and the Groove Motive delivered and then some. They were worth every penny and my only regret is that they could not play longer!! My wedding was 9/30/2017 and my husband, myself, and our guests are still raving.

We were so happy with Groove Motive for our daughter's wedding! Guests love the music and the last hour was especially fun with how they got guests involved. Volume was loud at one point and easily fixed. Thanks to all.

I had the pleasure of working with Pierre and his band Groove Motive September 30th this year! They are truly a fantastic band! I am a wedding planner in VA and can not say enough wonderful things about this group. From the beginning working with Brad to Pierre on music and timing, to the day of, showing up on time, energetic, smiling, and on task! Pierre communicated on everything and was so easy going and such a sweet soul! The music was on point!! Wow, they are so good!!! The guests danced the night away and our couple could not have been more pleased! This group is so much FUN and the love of what they do is contagious!! I HIGHLY recommend Groove Motive!!!!

Groove Motive played at our daughter's wedding ceremony in early June 2017. We believe the band makes the celebration and Groove Motive made it happen. Pierre was very accommodating with loads of personality. They take short breaks and know how to keep the crowd involved and on the dance floor. They mostly play 60's and 70's music which was great for our crowd although Pierre was open to different playlists. We not only heartily recommend them but we will use them again for different celebrations.

Groove Motive provided a service unlike any other at our wedding. They were professional, but most of all they were FUN! They interacted with guests and got everyone off their feet and dancing. We booked this band through East Coast Entertainment and loved them from the minute we saw their video on YouTube. They play a good variety of music to make everyone happy and dancing. I worked with Rich and the band learned our song for our first dance that we had taken dance lessons for and it turned out great. Their sound was a little loud for the space, but everyone enjoyed them.

The Groove Motive absolutely stole the show at our wedding reception recently, and that's a huge understatement. Our guests haven't stopped talking about their performance and the energy they brought to the night. We did a lot of research before selecting a band and typically found that you got what you paid for. Groove Motive did not fit this narrative and was far better than bands that charged twice as much. Pierre's (the band leader) showmanship and customer service skills are over the top. Great music for dancing was very important to my wife and I, but we did not have the time/energy to select specific songs or provide clear direction to the band. Pierre personally called us a few times to assure us that he would take care of all of our entertainment needs and we could sit back and relax. He promised as long as we wanted to be dancing all night, we were in great hands, and this could not have been a more true statement. They handled our ceremony music, reception dinner music, performed all of the classic fun wedding songs, and acted as the "DJ" playing top 40-type songs while they took two very quick breaks. The dance floor was packed all night with every age group and brought a level of fun/energy that's just not repeatable with a DJ or a band of a lesser caliber. Inclement weather led to last minute changes but they didn't miss a beat. To summarize and re-emphasize, you can't go wrong with Pierre and Groove Motive and I look forward to working with them for future events!

Pierre and the rest of the band could not have been a better choice for our wedding. Our special day was 2 weeks ago, but we still have people commenting on how great the band was. They sounded fantastic and Pierre was great with the crowd. He would call people out for dancing to the side and get them to join the action! I will not hesitate in recommending The Groove Motive to friends and family for their future wedding planning.

The Groove Motive performed at our daughter's wedding this past weekend and totally rocked the house. The dance floor was full for every song they played and their interaction with the wedding guests was so much fun. Pierre is such a professional and played the requested father/daughter, bride/groom and mother/son dances exactly as requested. They are SO talented musically and know how to keep everyone dancing. Kelly's voice is amazing! I highly recommend them for a wedding! Everyone was so impressed and I heard over and over again how they were the "best band ever". Thanks, Pierre, for being a part of making our daughter's wedding dreams come true. :) I hope you'll be available for daughter #2!!

The Groove Motive

They were absolutely the most professional, fun and intimate band I have experienced. The vocals were outstanding! Pierre had such a fun rapore with our guests! After 4 hours of great music we still had 60 guests dancing and wanting more. They were the best band we could have imagined for my sons wedding! Thank you!

Groove Motive was amazing! EVERY single person was dancing at our wedding and raved about the band. We couldn't have asked for more. We mainly dealt with Pierre, who was very nice and accommodating.

Good entertainers; not as good with communication and not much flexibility with set list

My wife and I hired "The Groove Motive" for our January Charlottesville wedding! We received many compliments from guests about how the band was so talented and raised the energy level. They interacted well with the crowd and played lots of "oldies but goodies". Some other fun moments included them asking us to sing songs, calling out people for having good dance moves, etc.

BUT we were also frustrated with some aspects of our experience. Specifically, we emailed with them in late November to figure out a few questions, and we had to email them again in early January before getting a response from the band. Further, we were hoping to play some more modern music that our friends would recognize and enjoy, but they responded that they needed 5 weeks notice to play songs off the set list (but they didn't respond to our email 8 weeks ahead of time until about 4 weeks beforehand). So, we audibled and asked for some specific songs on the setlist to be played, but not all of those were played either. That was a little disappointing on the wedding day to not have more music that people our age (we were born in 92 and 94) would recognize.

In sum, even though there were some communication issues, The Groove Motive did a great job bringing energy and entertainment to our wedding.

Responsiveness is definitely something that could be improved. I was supposed p hear from Pierre and actually chat with him prior to our wedding to meet him and discuss our requests. I never heard anything. I believe my wedding coordinator reached out as well and it took a while to receive a response. I am under the impression that Pierre maybe ran into a few issues with his health that prevented him from being in contact with us, I just wish someone else had stepped up in the meantime. Our father daughter dance ended up not going the way it was supposed to. The song was to be done live, not the recording and was supposed to be slowed down. The guests were also to be announced to join the dance floor but that didn't happen. There seemed to be a big gap with communication and now everything was to go. Other than the few minor things... we loved having them!
