As I've grown up going to AMI every summer, it's been my dream to have my wedding at The Sandbar. My dream finally came true and it did not disappoint. The Sandbar team was incredible - they truly understood my vision, were attentive to my requests/questions, and overall really cared about my experience. The wedding was everything I dreamed of and more - the food, incredible, the decorations, also incredible, and the team, the absolute best. Haley was my day-of coordinator and she was by my side every step of the way, making the day seamless and fun. I can't recommend this team and place enough. Thank you so so much for the perfect day!

Magical Beach Wedding
We had our wedding at The Sandbar in May '25, and I can't speak enough about how magical the evening was. The Sandbar staff was incredibly professional and responsive, the venue was beautiful and the food was delicious. If we had to do it over again, no questions asked, The Sandbar would be our first choice. Kudos to the entire Sandbar team for a job well done, and thank you for making our magical day memorable.

We had our wedding at The Grand Pavilion at the Sandbar and it was AMAZING!!! Everything from the planning to the day of was handled with urgency and professionalism. I highly recommend having your wedding here. The event staff were very friendly and made our day perfect! I had a stress free experience working with them. They provided a list of preferred vendors and this made the planning process so nice as the vendors were awesome at communicating as well! Superb experience!

Perfect venue!
The Sandbar is absolutely breathtaking! Our ceremony took place on the beach and the cocktail/reception took place in the pavilion and sand garden area. Really don't need many decorations as the scenery is so beautiful! The food was absolutely amazing!! If you're on the fence about their day of coordinator, do it!! We had Bailey as our day of and she was FANTASTIC! She was very helpful, relaxed, and got things done efficiently on the day. Have your dream wedding and book the Sandbar!!!

A Dream Weekend
I have been a wedding photographer in Philadelphia for 13 years and have photographed over 400 weddings. The question I have gotten countlessly over those years is “what would YOUR wedding be like?!” I always told people I would either elope or have to do something super special and a bit more unconventional.
I have been vacationing in Anna Maria with my family for 18 years, it is our home away from home! So when we began planning our October '22 wedding, I knew the destination had to be AMI. We were so excited to share this corner of the earth with our friends and family. The goal was to plan a four day weekend for our 85 guests, with the highlight being wedding day.
There’s no better place to get married on the island than The Grand Pavilion at The Sandbar. We noticed several years ago when a new wedding venue was built right by one of our favorite restaurants but we hadn’t looked into it much until we booked the venue. It was absolutely the right choice.
Samantha was accommodating from start to finish. She answered all of my questions promptly as well as doing a venue walk-through during our yearly visit. We flew out some vendors but chose our DJ, Florist and Hair & Makeup from their suggested vendors and they were amazing! We brought quite a few decorations from PA and were able to drop them off at their office a couple of days before the wedding so we could enjoy the weekend.
River was our day of coordinator and I honestly didn’t know what to expect. I have worked with many day of coordinators in the past and they typically are hit or miss when they are only involved in one day. But River was a hit! We went over the run-down of the ceremony right before rehearsal and she helped to execute it seamlessly. I quickly could tell she was assertive, take charge and knew what she was doing. The BEST kind of coordinator. After rehearsal, she took the time to go over my decoration list and assured me everything would be set up accordingly.
The day of our wedding could not have gone more smoothly. The ceremony started right on time. We had an abbreviated cocktail hour, since it was very important to me to do our first dance at sunset. We did our intros before the first dance and it went off without a hitch. If you’ve been to AMI before you know their sunsets are EPIC. We were gifted one of the most amazing sunsets that went on for what felt like hours! Our guests migrated to the beach to take photos and take it all in. My favorite moment of the day. It put us slightly behind schedule but The Sandbar was quick on their toes and allowed for the moment to happen while getting us back on track.
The servers and food alike were amazing! They took care of us but weren’t over bearing. The buffet lined moved quickly so we could get to speeches and DANCING.
Truly, a dream come true. From both a wedding professional and now a bride, The Sandbar is superb.

The best day!
We had our wedding at The Sandbar and it couldn’t have been more perfect. 2 years in the making and many emails backwards and forwards we made it. Travelling from the UK to the USA for our wedding. Shawn was fantastic the whole way through, always on hand to answer my questions and arrange everything. She even came on the day to meet me in person and gave me a big hug. River was with us for the day and she was fantastic. She made us feel so special and made sure our day was perfect. We loved her! Our ceremony and reception was incredible, wedding of our dreams, couldn’t recommend any more. Thank you so much to everyone, we had the best day!

Dodds wedding 2022
The moment we got engaged, we knew we wanted to get married at the Sandbar. I contacted them right away and was able to book a package 2 years in advance. We live in the UK and communicated via email with Samantha regularly. She always replied promptly and answered all my questions.
There was no stress at all when it came to organising our wedding.
We choose the coquina buffet option - which was divine. All of our guests raved about the food and how good it tasted. The canapés were also delicious.
We hired centre pieces from the Sandbar and paid for the wedding planner option. This was the BEST decision we made. River was incredible and she decorated the venue for us. She ensured our weddi g day ran smoothly and went above and beyond for our whole wedding party.
The Sandbar was perfect and it really made our wedding day magical. I cannot recommend the venue and staff enough.

Beautiful Ceremony/Reception
Loved this location for our ceremony and reception. Everyone who helped us was incredible. I worked with Samantha to set everything up from a distance and she was able to get everything that I wanted and made everything look beautiful. Everything looked incredible on the beach with our alter and the chairs. We booked an officiant and photographer through our package. The pavilion looked incredible with a beautiful chandelier and a table set up just the way we requested. Both Jess and our Bartender did an amazing job at keeping things on schedule as well as incredible service offered. I could not give a higher recommendation to this place and the people who helped us!

We had a beautiful wedding at the Sandbar on 11/13/21! Such a beautiful site.
Molly was our event director and was such a pleasure to work with. She was there for us as our wedding got postponed due to being scheduled in the middle of the original COVID outbreak and helped us transition to our postponed date. She was always so helpful and provide us with recommendations for various vendors.
I don’t know how she keeps up with all of the emails and communications but she was always there for us to answer all of our questions and concerns as we approached the big day. I am SO thankful to have had her!
Bailey was our day of planner and was outstanding. She made sure everything went smoothly and keeping us on track of time. I highly recommend a day of planner bc I couldn’t imagine our wedding without her.
The only thing that would make this venue even better is availability of more bathrooms on site - or bathrooms specifically for venue guests so they don’t need to wait in line with restaurant customers.

Fantastic experience with The Sandbar! They are a “one stop shop” venue that knocks it out of the park. They have recommendations for every vendor you’d need (florist, transportation, officiant, DJ, dessert, photography, videography, rentals, photo booths, etc), but offer a lot themselves. The managers were phenomenal through the entire process. They take care of set up, take down, food, beverages, everything - I cannot say enough about this venue. It’s also in a gorgeous spot and has the ability to be customized in so many ways to personalize it to a tee. Definitely recommend their Day of Planner as well (optional add on) - she allowed us to be completely worry free the entire day.

Most efficient venue I’ve ever dealt with! It was like clockwork!
If anyone is considering a destination wedding the Sand Bar should be your choice! It was absolutely amazing from start to finish! The ceremony was beautiful the reception was awesome! From appetisers to main course everything was delicious! The Venue is beautiful and the itinerary was followed to a T. My husband and I were so very pleased and all our guests said it was the best wedding they’ve been to in a long time!! Their suggestions for Officiant was spot on! The DJ was fantastic and the bakery they suggested was absolutely perfect and delicious!!! I would not hesitate at all picking this venue. They are all amazing! A very big thanks to all who waited on us and the bartenders!!! You are all top notch! Thanks again for making our wedding day perfect!!!!

The best beach elopement!
We had our wedding at the Sandbar in early September. Molly was our event director and she was wonderful! We felt like the communication was always open and she was extremely helpful with making decisions and keeping us on track with planning the entire day. She went above and beyond to make our day feel special and tailored to our wants & needs. Bailey was our day-of coordinator and she was very responsive and definitely brought my vision to life, even though she only had a week of communicating with me and a couple hours to go over all my decor! I gave her creative freedom when setting up my decor and I love the way everything turned out! Our guests could not stop talking about the food, a month later and they still mention our wedding dinner and dessert! We will be going back to the restaurant for our one year anniversary because we loved it so much! When planning a destination wedding, you always worry about booking a place you haven't seen, but we could not have picked a better venue to bring our beach elopement to life!

The SANDBAR gave us our dream wedding! Molly and Baily never stopped answering all our many questions via email and phone conversations. Six months ago, we toured the venue at the Sandbar on Anna Maria and booked it that day for our beach wedding on 3/20/21. Everyone was amazing from Amanda to Shawn to Jess! They were all so helpful and answered every question without hesitation! Our wedding day went smoothly and was stress-free due to this awesome team! They even brought hors d'oeuvres down to the beach so the wedding party could enjoy them between pictures! The food was also amazing! I definitely recommend the Sandbar for your beach wedding!

From the start, The Sandbar at AMI was professional, helpful, flexible, reassuring, and took care of our special event with the upmost care. Truly the BEST!
I cannot say enough good things about The Sandbar and Shawn! Their flexibility through the chaos of COVID was incredible. Shawn was attentive and kind through the entire process and we above and beyond to ensure our day went as smoothly as possible. I have not even mentioned that venue itself, the Sandbar is incredible and beautiful. An evening wedding allows you and your guests to see the STUNNING Anna Maria sunsets. I was so worried that we would feel "on display" with the bustling restaurant being so close. However, this could not have been further from the truth. You wouldn't have even noticed it was there unless you were searching for it. If I had it all to do over again, I would chose the Sandbar EVERY time.

Worth every penny
My husband and I weren't initially planning a destination wedding, but after "attending" a wedding one night while we were dining at The Sandbar, we fell in love.
Molly made everything easy. She answered all my questions, quieted my fears and anxieties, made sure that nothing was forgotten or left out.
Bailey, our day-of coordinator (hired through The Sandbar) took all the pinterest photos I had passed along to Molly, and all our decor that we brought and turned the pavilion into the most amazing, picturesque reception venue I could have ever imagined!
The food, as it always is at The Sandbar, was incredible (and one of the things my husband and I were most excited for). The bartender was incredible.
I never really wanted a beach wedding but The Grand Pavilion at The Sandbar confirmed I was, indeed, wrong in every way. They truly made our wedding day absolutely us and absolutely perfect.

The best day and the absolute BEST venue!
Wow, I was absolutely blown away by The Sandbar and am constantly reminiscing about the most amazing day in the most beautiful location. We live overseas and spent six months searching online for our dream venue in the U.S. (lots of different states, locations and changing ideas). As soon as we came across The Sandbar we were sold. Well, I must admit before being 100% sold I did have A LOT of questions (considering we were choosing without seeing it in person) and Molly very patiently and thoroughly answered them all. Molly was incredible throughout the whole planning process - so helpful, enthusiastic and genuine. The wedding day was a dream come true. The beach setting is STUNNING and the pavilion, deck and surrounds provide the most laid-back, natural and wonderful atmosphere. It was actually much larger and spacious than I was imagining (we had 100 guests). It's so handy how The Sandbar has lots of different things to choose from (linens, decor, fairy lights and more) which means less vendors to seek out and liaise with! And they very kindly provided us with some wonderful recommendations for other vendors needed. Big shout out to the chefs at The Sandbar - the food was so so delicious. Of course we're biased in thinking we had the best wedding, but our wedding guests seven months later are still raving about the day and saying it was the best wedding they've ever been to. The credit all goes to the amazing Sandbar.
Thank you, thank you to Molly, Jim, the chefs, the team on the evening and everyone involved at The Sandbar. We can't wait to visit Anna Maria and The Sandbar again.

Heaven on Earth!
Picking The Sandbar for our wedding venue was an easy choice! It's on a pristine beach with white sand & clear blue water and they are also one of the most highly rated restaurants in Flordia!
What I didn't expect was how incredibly wonderful their staff would be! We worked with Molly, who is their wedding coordinator, and she is phenomenal!!! We were truly blessed to be able to work with Molly. She was quick to respond, checked in with us often and knew every answer to every question we had about The Sandbar and also about weddings!!!! Every vendor she recommended was perfect (which is very helpful when planning out of state)! We can honestly say that without her expertise and skillset our wedding would not have been the amazing day that it was! Everything ran so unbelievably perfect it was truly a magical day!

We cannot thank Molly and her team at The Sandbar enough. Our wedding was the most perfect day and was all we could have wished for and more.
Molly helped our vision come to life for our relaxed and beautiful day.
She was great at communication, even though we live in Australia it never felt like we were organising miles apart.
On the day everything went perfectly, all the staff went above and beyond to ensure we were happy.
A special thank you must go to the chef! The food was incredible!!! so tasty, fresh - totally delicious. All our guest were amazed with the quality and the amount!
If we could do it all over again we wouldn't have changed a thing!

The Sandbar provided the most wonderful and beautiful setting for our wedding. The food and drink were delicious and all the guests commented and how good it was. The setting is gorgeous with the white sand and blue sea providing the best back drop to the ceremony and reception.
The staff could not have been more accommodating - Molly, who we worked with throughout the process, was professional, enthusiastic, honest and accommodating...she made the whole planning process very easy. Jim, who managed the event on the day - was also so helpful, professional and efficient yet still personal.
We would recommend this venue to anyone looking for an idyllic beach wedding.

We had an absolutely amazing experience here. We had our wedding on the beach and reception under the pavilion. Everyone was extremely helpful and accommodating. I was nervous trying to plan a destination wedding but the planners made it simple. The first time round we had to reschedule 5 days before the wedding as my fiance had gotten into a car accident. They were understanding and worked with us to pick a new date and even sent him a plant while he was in the hospital. It was an an amazing experience and I could not have asked for such amazing staff. They literally went above and beyond making sure that our day was spectacular!

We could not be happier with our wedding at the Sandbar! Molly was wonderful to work with!! She was so sweet, organized, and professional! There was a change in coordinators a few weeks before our wedding but Molly made it feel as though we had worked with her all along! The day of the wedding the Sandbar staff set everything up perfectly to the way we had discussed and made it very easy for me to focus on getting ready and other things that needed to be done. The food was excellent! So many people commented on how wonderful everything was. We ended up renting the office which worked out very nicely because I was able to wait there with my maid of honor and father prior to the ceremony so that no one would see me before. It also provided two bathrooms for our guests during the reception. All and all we love the Sandbar! We could not have asked for a better venue and it will always hold a special place in our hearts now!

My husband and I got married at the Sandbar, and we could not have been happier. We chose to have our reception in The Studio, and the whole thing was beautiful. We were planning amidst a hurricane, and Christine and Luis were wonderful in keeping us updated and making sure we had a backup plan if needed (which we didn't). Even with a switch of coordinators during my planning process, our questions were always answered quickly and they had an answer to all of them. The team at The Sandbar was great, they made planning a breeze, and made sure our wedding day was perfect. If you want a relaxed planning process and a beautiful wedding with food your guests will rave about, checkout The Sandbar!

Awesome day of service! The wedding coordinators are on top of the logistics of service provided by them and assist in coordinating day of with vendors at your event. They ensure seemless flow of your day. The location of ceremony is beautifully breath taking and the food got many compliments. Overall I am greatful for the work put into my wedding.

They did an amazing job with the dinner and the wedding coordinator did everything we asked and finished their setup in time for the perfect sunset wedding. The pricing was great. Call a week or two ahead of time to finalize your decoration preferences. We did the wedding on November 28th which was a Monday. That made it easy to get enough seating at the restaurant after the ceremony to have dinner with the family. The food and service was beyond what we could have expected for our laid back fun wedding.

This is the one and only place to consider for getting married on the beach! The Sandbar is by far your best choice! Our ceremony was right on the beach as well as the reception which was on the beach under an open pavilion. Patti is wonderful and quick to respond to you with any questions/concerns you may have. My husband and I just recently married there on 11-13-16. It was absolutely stunning. The service was great, the food was great, the sunset was UNBELIEVABLE!!! My wedding was a destination wedding, I live in the Boston area. We had 60 people attend both friends and family. Having a destination wedding on Anna Maria Island at the Sandbar is perfect because there is just so much to do on the Island. My new favorite part of Florida now, cant wait to go back for our one year anniversary and have dinner at the Sandbar.

If you are looking for a beach venue for your wedding look no further. The Sandbar on Anna Maria Island, FL, is the most ideal location.....beautiful beaches and amazing sunsets. Patti, the wedding planner, is wonderful to work with - so accommodating with every wedding detail. The food was simply delicious.

The Sandbar was the perfect location for us. We wanted relaxed and fun and that's exactly what they delivered. We met with Patti on our first visit and she remained available to us for the next 9 months. She responded quickly to every little email I sent. We had a large wedding for the venue but everything turned out great. They had the venue ready early on the morning of the wedding so we had extra time to set up. Patti did a great job running our event also. It started to sprinkle right as the wedding was supposed to start so they had prepared for rain off and on for the last 30 mins leading up to the ceremony. Everything turned out PERFECT! It was more than we had hoped for.

When we started wedding planning, a friend suggested we check out The Sandbar. I love Anna Maria, and I emailed Patti (their event coordinator) and asked about their weddings. She promptly got back in touch with me, and we set up an appointment to discuss things. We had never eaten their, so we decided to go down a little early and have lunch prior to our appointment with Patti. The view from the restaurant, and then the food, convinced us that we'd found our venue. When we met with her, she was very open and accommodating to our ideas, and basically said "Whatever you want, we'll do what we can to make your dream wedding a reality." Patti was a true Godsend. I emailed her multiple times, and she always responded promptly-- making suggestions, helping with vendors, etc..
When we went for the tasting, the food was amazing. My then-fiancee had asked if we could have their shrimp and grits as an appetizer, and of course, she said "absolutely." They brought out plate after plate of food for us to try.
Our reception was amazing... they had the pavilion beautifully decorated, and everything went above my expectations. Again, Patti was like my fairy godmother, saying "this is going to be amazing" when I was worried that the overcast skies would prevent the sunset photos I'd been hoping for. Many guests came up and told me that they'd love to get married at the Sandbar, or wish they had known of it when they were getting married.
Patti and everyone we dealt with at the Sandbar demonstrated nothing but professionalism, and a true desire to make our day unbelievably special.

The staff was professional, courteous, and provided outstanding customer service. The venue was top notch and made the wedding the best we have ever experienced. We enjoyed the 20% military discountg on the venue, and the staff fed the bride, groom, DJ and Photographer for free. The food was outstanding! We were upgraded to Grouper over Mahi Mahi at no charge. The BBQ Shrimp appetizer was a crowd favorite. The Prime Rib and Chicken Marsala was delicious. The chocolate fountain with fruit tree was very nice, but we ran out of fruit quickly.

The Sandbar was the perfect location for our beautiful beach wedding! We were unfamiliar with the island and the area, but we were lucky enough to have gotten a wonderful recommendation from a family friend who also had a wedding there. Throughout the entire planning process, Patti, the event coordinator, was incredibly helpful and accommodating. Any little questions that I had, she was more than happy to answer and very quick to respond. When we made the trip from Indiana to Anna Maria Island to meet with our vendors, the chef and Patti were both very receptive to our vision and preferences. The staff went above and beyond for our food tasting and provided many options for us. All were delicious and it was very hard to make a decision. When meeting with Patti, I was able to show her all of my pins from Pinterest and she had all of the decorations that I could ever want there, in house. She even had options that I hadn't even thought about! They definitely know how to create a beautiful beach wedding and make the bridal party and families feel special.

Patti was the best wedding coordinator anyone could ever ask for! She handled everything perfectly and made our wedding go off without a hitch! She helped us coordinate every detail from start to finish - Even details we hadn't thought of! She walked us through the rehearsal and on the wedding day, she stood right by our side giving everyone their cue to walk out so the timing was perfect! When we somehow managed to forget the fabric to go over the arch and when we couldn't find the colored sand for our sand ceremony, she miraculously came up with some fabric and sand for us - All of which were the exact colors we had originally planned! She checked on myself and my husband all evening to ensure we had everything we needed and to make sure we ate dinner and always had a drink in hand and a smile on our faces! I could not have imagined a better team than Patti and the Sandbar staff!!

We had our Wedding and Reception at the Sandbar Restaurant on 1/24/15. If there was only one word to describe the entire day it would be "PERFECTION". We only took 2 months to plan the entire wedding and selecting the Sandbar for not only the beautiful location but for the services that they provided made our lives so much easier. Working with Patti at the Sandbar was such a pleasure. She was able to accommodate all of our requests and even offer some great ideas. She also did a great job coordinating with the other vendors that we had hired to capture "Our Special Day", the florist as well as the live entertainment. We felt very comfortable with working with Patti that when we found out that she could also perform the ceremony we hired her for that as well.
During the entire day everyone had such an outstanding time that we still get phone calls telling us how amazing it was for them to experience. We are still in awe with how the staff at the Sandbar worked together to pull off such an amazing day for us. From the Ceremony setup and the Reception decor to the phenomenal food, every detail was perfect. How they worked with the DJ to keep everything running so smoothly was exceptional. We were so concerned that we would be so stressed dealing with all the different vendors that we would not truly enjoy the day with each other and our family. Thanks to the Sandbar staff those concerns were never an issue. Even when I forgot the vase for the very important sand ceremony, Patti again came to the rescue and was able to provide us with something that she was able to find that worked perfectly.
We cannot not thank the staff at the Sandbar, Coordinated by Patti, enough for the outstanding job that they did for us.

We were married at the Sandbar and had our reception on the beach under the pavilion. It was my dream wedding come true! Everything was absolutely perfect! Patti and her team were so great to work with and she answered all of my questions promptly via email in the year leading up to the wedding. On the day of the wedding when I went to set some things up it was amazing to see my dreams coming to life. Everything was just as I wanted it. My guests all said it was the best wedding food they ever had. Seriously, everything was perfect. You can not go wrong getting married here and the value is outstanding!

We had our wedding at the Sandbar on October 5th. Everything was ABSOLUTELY PERFECT. The food was amazing, the weather was amazing, and the view is beautiful! Patti and her staff did an amazing job setting up and helping us. Both the ceremony and reception site were absolutely beautiful. Everyone was friendly from the second we looked at the site prior to booking to the night of the wedding. The food from cocktail hour and dinner was amazing and complimented by all guests. We were very excited to see our sweetheart table have a full plate of each cocktail hour dish that was served to ensure we ate something after photos. Throughout the evening staff multiple times came and offered to get us drinks. This venue has perfected the art of wedding planning and couldn't have been more helpful. I would highly recommend the sandbar to any bride looking for the perfect wedding on Anna Maria Island.

The entire staff at The Sandbar, and specifically Patti their event coordinator, were outstanding to work with. Throughout our wedding planning Patti was timely and thorough in her responses to all of our questions (and never made us feel as though we were asking too many)! Patti's attention to detail, expertise and recommendations were much appreciated as we planned our wedding from afar. We felt so comfortable knowing that we could just sit back and enjoy our wedding reception! Our guests loved The Sandbar's pavilion right on the beach and also loved the service by The Sandbar staff who were all very helpful and accommodating to not just us, but our guests. We felt as though they all had a genuine interest in making our event special.
The Sandbar's food was delicious. The salad with the mango and passion fruit dressing is addictive – to the point that our guests went over to the gift shop seeking out bottles of it to take home.
We just can’t say enough great things about The Sandbar, the staff and Patti! We will look forward to coming back to visit again and again!

As Michele and I have just returned from our honeymoon, we wanted to take a moment to thank you and each of the staff members at the Sandbar for making our wedding/reception a spectacular and memorable occasion. From the set-up on the beach, to the beautifully decorated pavilion, to the delicious meal, to the incredibly pleasant and attentive staff, our expectations were exceeded in every case. Every time we talk about any piece of the evening, we continue to exclaim how truly outstanding it was. Our guests from Ohio had never experienced anything like this wedding, and it continues to be the talk of our little corner of the world up here (as well as Facebook). As a church organist I have had the opportunity to do hundreds of weddings in many venues. I have also worked with numerous wedding coordinators. I can say that you, the Sandbar, and all of your staff were one of the most pleasant and accommodating venues I have ever worked with – there seemed to be no request that wasn’t possible and taken care of without question or complication. Your recommendations on choices and people to use were top-notch. We cannot say enough wonderful about our event and how it was hosted by you folks. My husband and I could not be more pleased with Patti and the services at the Sandbar on Anna Maria Island. Patti is seriously the best. Since we live in Indiana I had to communicate with Patti mostly with email, and she was very responsive and ALWAYS kind and respectful . Honestly she has a way about her that just makes you feel like family. Jeff and I are so pleased with her ability to provide us with our idea of a perfect wedding! I have not one thing negative to say about Patti, but the only thing that I would say negatively is that they had to close our ceremony down at 10pm. It was very upsetting but I am told it is due to turtle season that time of the year on Anna Maria Island which is understandable. Other than that I would HIGHLY recommend Patti and her staff for anyone looking for a beach wedding!!!

If you are looking to have a beach wedding the Sandbar is absolutely perfect. The venue is beautiful and the staff is awesome. Many of my guests said that the Sandbar had the best wedding food they had ever had and I have to agree with them. Patti was extremely helpful with all of the planning and I would recommend anyone to use this venue for their wedding.

Throughout the entire reception the entire staff went out of their way to accommodate everything we asked. The food was so delicious! The Sandbar was such a perfect venue for our wedding. All of our guests loved being right on the beach and getting to have their toes in the sand for both the ceremony and reception. It's a small venue but they make the space work perfectly! We had the buffet, bar, photo booth, dance floor, and corn hole boards set up and everything felt comfortable and not cramped at all. Once the sun went down, the pavilion lit up so beautifully! This venue, combined with all of the great vendors we chose, really made our wedding absolutely perfect!

I don't have enough room to write all the great things I have to say about the SandBar. They did such an AMAZING job with my wedding of 120 guests. Patti their event coordinator was so extremely great, she was promptly responsive to my every need and extremely professional. I received so many compliments on the venue, decor and the outstanding food! All of which were provided by The SandBar. They really went above and beyond and I can't thank them enough. I would HIGHLY recommend them to anyone interested.

Everyone who attended our wedding said it was the most beautiful wedding they had ever been too. It was the time of our lives. Of all the things I did to prepare for our wedding day, choosing The Sandbar Restaurant for our wedding venue was by far the smartest. I was blessed with amazing weather, but everything else was all Patti, their wedding coordinator there! She helped with absolutely everything! She wore so many different hats on March 21st, I could never thank her enough. From coordinator, to counselor, to bartender she did it all with smile on her face! I had my dream wedding at the Sandbar! The best part was Patti and Ashely and the rest is the folks at the Sandbar were my dream wedding planning team! Living in Canada, I was worried I wouldn't feel confident making decisions about my wedding and wanted the important things under control: food, booze, location & fun. Patti's years of experience gave me the confidence to marry my guy and not worry about the little things. She was also respectful of our traditions which made it easy to work together. The food was perfect for a hot beach setting. Our Musician, MC and DJ kept things rolling and at one point I believe frank Sinatra was singing at my wedding. John Ridel was so good! Shootingstar photographer Alek made me feel like a model, took the best photos of my handsome and emotional husband but Alek also fit in like a guest. If you are looking for the perfect beach, sunset, wedding planning team and beach side food the Sandbar is your dream wedding location!!!

The Sandbar goes above and beyond to make every detail of the wedding perfect! They are extremely easy to work with and will ensure all of your wedding day needs are met. We were so appreciative of the professionalism and willingness to make sure our day ran smoothly from Patti and her entire crew. We were able to bring all of our items for set up and the staff was so helpful in making sure the set-up was exactly how we wanted. We had no stress on the wedding day thanks to the Sandbar staff! The food was delicious, the servers great, and the dinner went perfect, on time and with plenty of food for all of our guests. The ceremony was beautiful with white sand and gorgeous beach front views. We wouldn't have changed a thing! Our guests are still telling us how much they loved the beach wedding and reception at the Sandbar!

Patti and her team did an excellent job of working with our ceremony and photography provider. She assisted in every need of theirs, as well as every question or concern we had. Patti is a true professional, and when it came to our wedding day she made sure everything was perfectly set-up and that the food and drinks were perfect. Every one of our guests loved the food, their staff who served it and the well-made drinks. We just had our wedding at The Sandbar and it was more beautiful than I could ever imagine. Patti is phenomenal to work with - we sent her over 150 emails and she not once made us feel overbearing (even though we might have been haha). The scenery is beautiful, and dinner under the open air gazebo was so romantic. Sandbar staff was delightful, upbeat and so professional. Our guests raved about the food and the variety of entrees. I highly recommend The Sandbar to ANY bride, especially those on a budget. Have your dream beach wedding here!

I cannot say enough good things about this place and the staff! We had the pleasure of working with Patti McKee as our coordinator there and she is amazing! She is so helpful and prompt with her e-mails, especially helpful since we live in GA. The Sandbar is an absolutely beautiful place to get married. Even though the beach is public, everyone is extremelly respectful of your space and I never felt like anyone was even there. They did a wonderful job setting up our bamboo arch with the design we chose and decortaing the pavilion, the cake table, card table, and buffet line. The food was AMAZING!!! You have so many options depending on your budget for both food and bar. It was very affordable. Patti made sure everything went perfect and in a timely manner from beginng to end! Our experience there was incredible, I would get married there again in a heartbeat! I would absolutly recommend The Sandbar to anyone looking to have a beach wedding, you won't be disappointed! My Husband and I just got married at the Sandbar (4/4/2013). Patti, our wedding coordinator did a wonderful job with planning and making us feel relaxed. The food and bar services were amazing as well. Our wedding day started out with a lot of rain, thunder and very strong winds...but the Sandbar crew made our day one to remember! By the time we went to say our vows the sun was shining and the weather turned out to be gorgeous! Very impressed with the overall set up and decor of the reception. The Sandbar did an amazing job and we couldn't of asked for a better venue.

A huge thank you is in order! We adored our wedding! The flow was orgainized, it sounded, looked, and tasted perfect, and we couldn't imagine it being any different. If you're looking for a beautiful beach wedding, The Sandbar is your venue! We went to the Sandbar for dinner one night (with no wedding date even picked out yet) and by the time we finished our dinner we had picked a date and emailed the Sandbar for their availability the next day!
Patti, the event coordinator, is AMAZING. She was helpful, knowledgeable, and made the experience fun for us. Most of our guests were from out-of-town and Patti gave us all the info we needed to get them all taken care of for the weekend. She worked with us to incorporate some of our own decorations and ideas and the way she made everything come together was absolutely perfect. Patti is always on top of responding to emails promptly and the 'day of' she is there overseeing everything to make sure it goes smoothly.
We were beyond satisfied with our wedding at the Sandbar and all of our guests continue to tell us how beautiful the whole day was. The venue is gorgeous, the food is delicious, and the service staff are polite and top notch. You won't be disappointed!

The Sandbar is not only a wonderful restaurant, but they're also an amazing wedding venue! My husband and I looked at many venues before making our final decision but it was clear from the beginning that The Sandbar would be the best choice! Their food is outstanding and Patti, the wedding coordinator, made everything so simple for us. She was highly organized and made the process of planning our wedding manageable...as all brides know, the process can be rather overwhelming at times! No matter what we needed (kids meal options, custom decoration, assistance with setting up, food tasting, etc) The Sandbar provided everything we needed to make our wedding a success!

While the Sandbar is not an unusual choice for weddings on Anna Maria, we chose them because they were located on a beach that the groom had spent his youth visiting while growing up in Manatee County. We knew they had a great reputation, but having attended other larger events at their outdoor pavilion, were a little concerned that our ceremony, only 23 people total, would be a small fish for an establishment that was accustomed to coordinating much larger events. We thought it wouldn't hurt to ask and when we called, learned that they already had a wedding on the books for the weekend we had selected last spring. Patti McKee, the coordinator, had a wonderful suggestion, however and guided us to enquire at the Studio at Gulf & Pine which was a gallery located only a few blocks away. We could hold our small reception there and have the ceremony close by on the beach. The Sandbar would still provide the set up for the ceremony and reception as well as the catering. It was a perfect solution as, being New Englanders, we wanted to be sure there was a back up alternative for the ceremony location in case of bad weather. Patti and her crew were very professional and, along with Julie and Tommy Fagen at the Studio at Gulf & Pine, helped us arrange a setting that was pretty and special without being too stiff or formal. The food was delicious and met the tastes of all of our guests, including several vegetarians. They also coordinated well with the other vendors and our day went off without a hitch. We felt special and well taken care of and are pleased to have had their help with celebrating this special day.

Everything was beautiful and setup exactly how I wanted. My florist messed up the centerpieces and Patti immediately fixed it for me! Everyone of our guests said that the food was the best food they have ever had at a wedding. Our wedding and reception were absolutely perfect thanks to the Sandbar! Talk to Patti if you want to have the most special wedding day ever! She took away my nerves and put me at complete ease. The Sandbar's Venue is the most beautiful on the Gulf Coast! I told her what my colors were, made a few suggestions, and was speechless when I walked in on the day of the wedding. Everything was so gorgeous!!! The price was so reasonable, as I was trying to stay in a strict budget. I stayed in budget, and it was more than I even dreamed. I rented everything from Sandbar instead of using an outside rental company because it was about 1/3 the price. Again, couldn't be happier with anything. My wedding was perfect.

My husband and I knew the week after we got engaged we wanted a destination wedding on AMI at the Sandbar Restaurant. We had been visiting the island for the past 6 years and every time we arrive to vacation, it is our first stop for a margarita and sunset. Of course a bride who dreams of a beach wedding, spends everyday for months envisioning the sun, warm weather and soft waves crashing on the beach. Patti will always hold a special place in our hearts because mother nature threw us for one heck of a loop in April on our wedding day and she worked with our wedding planner Anna Pohl to transform our day into something I never imagined. To take a step back, from the moment we met Patti she was incredible! She made us laugh, was genuinely vested in our interests for the big day, professional, reliable, responded to emails with big or small concerns immediately, I could go on forever! Our wedding day after months of beautiful weather happened to be blessed with 40 mph winds, rain, and very uncertain weather. Just days prior and days after were gorgeous of course. Patti reached out to my husband the evening before our wedding day and offered to let the show go on with the conditions or switch venues across the street to The Studio at Gulf and Pine. We had 110 guests from out of town and he knew we had to make a move. I was told the morning of by my MOH I would have to walk into a venue I never saw-you can imagine the unrest I had but I was so excited for the day I was like let's do it! From the second I walked in it was magical! I could NOT believe they had transferred all of our decorations, plants, food...it was stunningly beautiful. She not only saved our wedding day she gave us a dream wedding we never knew we wanted! The guests couldn't believe the story, the venue, the FOOOD, how it all came together! The Sandbar Restaurant was excellent! Our wedding guests could not say enough about the beautiful set up, delicious food and wonderful service. Patti was there for us every step of the way during the planning. The Sandbar made our wedding dream a reality! Thank you!!!!

I just wanted top take a minute and say thank you fro everything. You did a great job for our wedding, all of our guest remarked at what wonderful setup it was and how beautiful it all turned out. Jay and I really appreciate your hard work and time. I would definitely recommend you guys to anyone that asked.

I found The Sandbar through a Google search and made contact with them through email. I was also checking out some other venues, but my selection of The Sandbar was the best choice, by far, for our wedding! Patti, the event planner, has coordinating weddings down to a science. She is a gem! The beach is beautiful. Our pictures (even the snapshots from our guests) were gorgeous. The staff that worked our reception were so caring. I just couldn't thank them enough. The food was absolutely wonderful. Our guests were raving about how good everything was. We had such a great time at The Sandbar that we went back there for lunch the day after our wedding. In fact, we're already talking about going back there for our first anniversary. What can we say? We LOVE The Sandbar (and Patti)!

Growing up on Anna Maria, I knew this would be the perfect venue. Patti is absolutely incredible and has thought of everything to make her brides' days wonderful.

In my opioion the only place to get married if you love Anna Maria and it's amazing sunsets. Being from London, myself and my husband visit here every year and always loved the Sandbar for a sunset evening meal. When we finally decided to tie the knot we knew how special this place was to us already we decided our guests would love it to so went ahead. I can only say how fabulous the day was, the food, wine, decoration etc was second to none. For me persoanlly what made the decision for me to go ahead was Patti McKee Events Co-ordinator and my fairy Godmother!. She is a genuine Diamond and the most amazing person at what she does. She helped me from day 1 to get everything we needed and organised a truly amazing day. Her relaxing personality meant nothing stressed me and getting married was one of the most relaxing experiences I've had, she met me on the day and we had a catch up and then off I went down the sand aisle and said I do. She is the true assett of this venue and I will always be grateful to her for all her help and assistance. Bearing in mind I live in London we did a great job of communicating and the day couldn't have gone any better. THANK YOU Pattie, your awesome.

Love, Love Love the Sandbar. We had such a great experience working with the Sandbar. The venue is so simple and beautiful and really allows you to make it your own with all the beauty of the outdoors. The staff was wonderful, flexible and professional. The food was amazing from start to finish. Overall This was a night I will never forget and much of it is thanks to The Sandbar
