The Mohicans was absolutely the right choice for hosting our December wedding. Their event staff was so helpful and knowledgeable and a specific shout out to Amy who managed our event on the day of. She never stopped moving if there was something to be done. She thought of questions and answered them proactively so that not every single question was directed towards me or my fiancé as we were trying to get ready.
We took advantage of a couple of the add-ons that the Mohicans offered. Base price for our date (off-season) was near $4000. We chose to add-on an early set up (day before from 11am to 4pm), table/chairs set up, linen rentals, and decoration rentals. All in all we paid around $5,500.
They have wonderful vendors on their recommended vendor list. I think we used three or four of them and they will also be getting stellar reviews from us. Communication was quick and easy, and the prices were very reasonable, not inflated. Every need was accommodated, and the whole day was magical. -

The Mohicans is one of the most enchanting-looking spaces - we (and out guests) absolutely loved the venue and all of the natural beauty that came with it! The Mohican's team was present throughout the whole process and was very helpful as we navigated wedding planning. We even got compliments from our vendors appreciating how seamless it was working with the venue! We had the most beautiful day and we will always recommend the Mohican's! -

Breathtaking views and exceptional service
Our vow renewal at The Mohicans Treehouse Resort & Wedding Venue was absolutely perfect! Even though it was a 6-hour drive for us, it was so worth it—the unique setting and stunning views made it unforgettable. The string lights made the evening look and feel amazing. Every spot on the property felt special and added to the experience. Having on-site lodging available for us and our guests made the weekend so convenient and relaxing. The planning team was incredibly helpful and responsive throughout the entire process, making sure everything came together perfectly. We couldn’t have asked for a better place to celebrate our day! -

So magical!
The Mohicans was the perfect spot for our forest wedding! We had a lovely late-summer day, and we are so glad because the outdoors of the venue has SO much to offer. All of our guests enjoyed dancing on the patio and the bonfire, and the glowing lights just made for the perfect evening. Amy, our day of coordinator, did a wonderful job keeping everything on track and making sure the timing of things went flawlessly. All of our guests just loved the venue, and we did too! -

The team at The Mohicans was incredibly helpful and made our event planning seamless. They answered any and all questions we asked (no matter how silly) and always answered promptly. I had no doubts they had our best interest in mind, and Kelci knocked it out the day of the wedding. She made sure everyone knew the plan and really reduced our stress on the day, which is a priceless quality. Ellie was great and made amazing drinks. Would recommend this place to anyone looking for a wedding venue. -

From the moment we saw Mohicans in person, we had no doubt we would host our wedding there! For several reasons, we had a weekday wedding, which gave us the advantage of reserving the venue the day before for a very reasonable cost. So we were able to set up the day before, which was a godsend. Their vintage rental room is a treasure trove of decorations, signs, and anything else you could need for wedding decor! It’s reasonable and a huge cost saver.
All of our guests raved about the venue! It’s a little rocky to get to, but for us it just added to the experience and feeling of being a little away from it all! Everyone we worked with was kind, helpful, quick to respond, and friendly!
If you can do it, have your wedding at The Mohicans!!! You will not regret it! -

The Mohicans Treehouse Resort was an amazing place. We wanted a small intimate wedding with a few friends and family, so we decided on the Elopement Package. Miguel was great at communication and they took care of all the details (cake, officiant, photographer). The treehouse was beautiful and the grounds were perfect for photos. -

Our Dream Wedding!
We had our wedding at the Mohicans on 9/24/23, and it was perfect. The planning team was very helpful and communicative leading up to our wedding. Everything ran very smoothly on wedding day, and our wedding was exactly as we pictured it. Our guests loved the venue, and our wedding party and families had a blast staying in the cabins and treehouses that night (especially our toddler nephews)! We would not change a thing about our wedding day, even if we could (well, except maybe the fact that it drizzled for most of the reception - but even then, the party continued on the covered deck)! -

I cannot express how absolutely gorgeous our venue was. All of our guests are constantly commenting on the venue. It was such a beautiful evening. They go above and beyond in the planning phase to ease any worries you may have. And let me tell you, we were that couple, that if anything could go wrong, it did. However, they got things back on flow and reassured us that everything would be as planned, and it was. Would do it all over again with The Mohican. -

My wife found this venue and instantly knew it was the one, and when we toured the venue, that cemented that fact. The atmosphere, décor, and location are beautiful. The feeling you get as you walk through the venue is just wonderful, you can feel that the staff there are dedicated to making sure your wedding is perfect and everything you imagined, and that is exactly what they succeeded in doing with ours! We will be recommending them to all our friends and family. -

We couldn't have chosen a better venue for our wedding! The moment we toured the place we were impressed. From the friendly staff to the beautiful location we loved everything about it! The entire planning process was so easy with all of their help. They answered my MANY questions and helped me feel less nervous. Leah was our day of coordinator and she was AMAZING! I was worried about not hiring a planner for the day of but she showed me that it was not needed. She was always there to assist us in any way we needed; whether that was helping us set up, making sure my fiancé didn't see me before our first look, or grabbing me another wine to calm my nerves, she made our day go so smoothly! The venue was so beautiful and we received so many compliments on how breathtaking it was. We also stayed in the tin shed treehouse the night of and I was so happy we did! We will definitely recommend this venue to anyone we know getting married and we are already planning on coming back to stay in a treehouse for our 1 year anniversary. :) -

Beautiful magical night
The obvious: this place is gorgeous. Just a dream. Even if u do bare minimum decor it’s just breathtaking. The treehouses are so unique and amazing- it’s not just a wedding here, it’s an experience. So many guests already want to just get a group to go down for a weekday vaca. And we can’t wait to spend anniversaries there! The set up is also perfect if weather turns. Which, it did! We had sun for first look and pictures thanks fully and then at ceremony it rained. The switch to the covered pavilion was seamless and easy and still just so gorgeous it didn’t feel like a compromise- it was still a picture perfect romantic wedding outside yet covered. The rain did clear and we were all dancing in and outside and it made it that much more magical feeling honestly. The only sad is no fire for us but- hey! It all just kept us all together so it worked!
The good behind the obvious- Leah the day of coordinator killed it! She was amazing. Whatever u needed she was randomly there, the guests were even laughing that it was like she was just teleporting to u. Haha. This angel knew I made a killer flower arch so when it rained she went out there and cut it down and moved it to the covered arch!!!!! They also teccomemdrd dj Rockin Al- go with him!!!! Also a saint who kept things seamless and perfect and understood my music tastes and nailed it. We had the most epic wedding playlist. Our bridal party walked into wwf theme songs and he had a lot of fun with that with us hahah. And they recommended pioneer trails for transportation too- amazing. Def hit them up they did great!
The “bad” (I don’t feel there was bad- this is more just important to know before booking) the roads to get there are sketchy. So if guests are staying elsewhere u should factor in transportation bc Ubers are also not available. It was about a grand for us. So keep that in mind in ur budget. For us peice of mind and safety it’s worth it. I would love more stationary signage to get there bc so many people were blowing us up thinking they were lost which got a bit much. And we even put our little signs out hahaha. So some big ones the venue makes would be helpful.
The only other thing was the mimosa bar for getting ready was very pricey. Like 200 I wanna say for two bottles and juices. We did a whole wedding toast for 300 some for almost 30 bottles. So, that’s a little crazy. But it wasn’t necessary for us so no biggie but just know that if that’s something u need or really want.
The only other thing, not venue related but they did recommend so good to know for future recommendation ( avo rito). They were good and nice and did what they could with the rain. Their foods great. Affordable. But we paid them about 2500 for a 110 person wedding bc of travel and tip etc. for tacos and nachos. And I loved it all. Got home and they sent me an invoice saying we now owe $500 more bc some people got more tacos than they planned on. Ummm- that’s on them serving and catering to control that not us. And also it was already a lot for tacos- that has not been a fun debate. Lol. So I would not recommend them. We agreed on an amount and was happy to pay it, u can’t come back and say u kept making more without talking to us so now we owe more.
Anyways, overall amazing amazing. Thank u all for the most beautiful day! Everything was absolutely perfect!!!! -

My (now) husband likes to refer to The Mohicans as the "Enchanted Forest", because it really was the perfect start to our married life. Laura and the entire staff were outstanding to "work" with. Their response time was excellent, and they were very thorough at answering all my questions and addressing any concerns. The venue (and lodging accommodations) were very clean, and one of the wedding coordinators was on-site the entire wedding day to ensure we had everything we needed and we stayed on schedule. Truly, they went above and beyond and helped to make the day so easy and fun! We felt so blessed to be able to start our lives as husband and wife at The Mohicans. -

This venue is straight out of a fairytale!! We originally booked The Mohican for a wedding on June 20th 2020. With COVID my husband and I decided to postpone to June 19th of 2021. The Mohicans didn't even bat an eye when we asked to reschedule. They really went above and beyond to make our wedding day special. Our event manager was amazing and so was the rest of the staff. Could not recommend this venue enough! -

I had my dream wedding at the Grand Barn. I can’t recommend this venue enough, it is breathtaking! I had my wedding August 2nd, 2020 and the staff were very responsive and provided regular updates through the pandemic. No detail was left overlooked and they made my wedding day stress-free! Cell service isn’t great and I recommend following the directions on their website to get there once you turn onto the gravel roads (last 10 minutes of driving) because gps isn’t always accurate, but all my guests made it without issue. Many family and friends stayed in the treehouses and cabins the night after and they were all stunning! Definitely check this place out! -

What an absolutely STUNNING place to have a wedding. We came down for 4 days in August for the Hoadley wedding and loved it so much that we want our wedding here!!
To start,
The quaint tree houses that are all so different, beautifully designed and decorated, were remarkable to even just walk through.
We stayed in a cabin that was spacious, comfortable, and beautiful. The beds were amazing, and quality bed sheets too!! (I love places that care about the little details, and this place goes beyond!)
We spent nights outside on the porch listening to the calls of the wild, had bonfires, and got away from the hustle and bustle of city life.
I truly felt relaxed by the time we left.
The Gran Barn where the wedding was held was beyond words. There were lights strung up thru-out, with rustic wood, and simple white linens everywhere you looked, it was truly a magical evening.
We were fortunate enough to spend some time with the owners, Laura and Kevin, and the rest of their family. They were gracious, took time to make sure we had everything we needed, and went far above and beyond any place I've been before.
I can't say enough great things about The Mohicans!
Thank you again to Laura, Kevin, and the rest of the family for your hospitality, your beautiful location, and your big hearts. It was such a pleasure to be able to stay at The Mohicans, and we will definitely be back, hopefully in a wedding dress :)

I had visited the mohican treehouses and Grand barn 2 years previous. This is where my now husband proposed and I knew instantly this is where I wanted to get married . Living in England I knew that this would be a hard task to complete but Laura, Kevin Mooney and their whole team stepped in . Emails back and forth with advice , knowledge and all the information We needed to make the day perfect . The whole team made our whole wedding party feel so welcome and at ease . The food from when we arrived to when we left was spectacular, the treehouses were truly stunningly beautiful in their own right .The contacts that they had gave us for hairdressers , photographers, flowers, cake maker , beautician and officiant were all fantastic nothing was too much trouble . The wedding day/ceremony had a intimate personal feel in a truly beautiful setting . Every little detail was taken care of so we could just relax and enjoy every second of our day . I cannot recommend The Mohican treehouses and grand barn enough . Anyone who gets to have their wedding here will never regret it . This place and team made our dream become a reality and for that I am eternally grateful. -

The cabins and Treehouses are all gorgeous and have many features and sleep more people than you would expect. We couldn't have asked for a better venue or group of people. Pictures and words just can’t do the Barn and the people justice!
Everything about my experience with the Mohican Grand Barn was phenomenal! Every one was so kind and it was a down home comfort! We felt like they brought us in like we were family and made it to where I had zero stress on my wedding day!
I just don’t know how to properly articulate how great these people are!
And the venue was an amazing backdrop to our wedding! It was out there, but well worth the travel!!! Also, they have a great rental room that made the process even less stressful!
Finally, I must point out that the tree houses are just adorable!
HIGHLY recommend the Mohican Grand Barn! -

Do yourself a favor and choose this venue!
The venue itself is absolutely stunning! You don’t need much decoration because the wood and lights speak for themselves. The staff is amazing! The owners Kevin and Laura, Aimee and Allie were beyond accommodating and helpful. We planned our wedding in a few short months, and it was stress-free because of the wonderful staff. Our guests have all commented on what a beautiful wedding it was and that it was one they will never forget. Our guests also commented that the food was the best they have had at wedding! The caterer, Drew, did a great job doing exactly what we wanted! Couldn’t recommend this venue more!! -

Do yourself a favor and get married here! The owners, Laura and Kevin, are awesome and they really care about the couples that choose their venue. The rest of the staff is exceptional and they will go above and beyond to make sure the planning process and big day are perfect. We had a lot of issues with our caterer but the coordinators and grand barn staff took over and made the day perfect! I could not imagine getting married somewhere else. Laura and Kevin and the owners and they are just as involved as their on site coordinators even though they are not in the city. Any time I had a question Laura was available to answer it! My guests LOVED the venue, many of them said it way the most beautiful wedding venue they had ever been to. They were very professional and let me have some special and unique things along the way for the wedding. I would highly recommend this venue to ANYONE! Especially the couples who love nature and have a little outdoorsy side, (Plus who doesn't want to stay in a treehouse the night of their wedding ) We cannot wait to go back for our anniversaries and stay in all of the different houses and take our families back to the cabins ! We feel we gained friends out of the staff they were so amazing ! Melissa even calmed me right before walking down the aisle- (she seemed more like a friend than staff )They also have obtained their liquor license recently and the bartender/ bar was awesome as well as their new Beer Barn! The photobooth was a hit as well which was also way cheaper going through the barn and it matches the barn! -

We used Mohican treetop resort for our wedding. We chose Friday wedding. We were able to decorate and rent the cabins the night before. The one downfall is not being able to have a rehursal prior to the day of the wedding in which the guys couldn’t be involved. Both of our families still talk about our wedding to this day reporting it was the “ best wedding they have ever been too.” The decoration room helped us with all of our ceremony decorations and the center pieces. It saved us sooo much money along with time and energy having to cart stuff there and home. We also were able to have our dogs be apart of our wedding. We woke up the next morning wanting to do it all over again. I highly recommend. -

Truly magical!
My husband and I couldn't have been happier with our decision to choose The Mohicans Treehouse Resort and Wedding Venue for our wedding! Something we loved most was that it didn't need a lot of decorations to bring it to life. It is truly a beautiful and magical setting on it's own! The staff at Mohican were extremely helpful and always answered any question we had within 24 hours. They helped make the entire process easy from first touring the venue to closing things up on our wedding night. We also LOVED that our family and friends were able to stay onsite in the cabins and treehouses. It made for a very easy way to see everyone again the next day. I couldn't recommend this venue more! -

We had The Mohicans at the top of our list before we toured anywhere… it was our last venue tour, and we were so excited there was a Saturday left in June. This was definitely our dream venue! It’s beautiful as is, and we really didn’t feel we needed to add a ton of decoration. The staff was easy to work with, the forms were simple to fill out, etc. There were a few small things we were told that did not end up being accurate (in-house catering is no longer an option, bar packages are not flexible, and there weren’t screens in the windows to help with sound flow from where the DJ was), and the wedding the night before canceled so we managed to use the ceremony site for a rehearsal, but we did have to call and ask about it that night upon realizing no one was up there. However, there was a lot of help from the staff there the day of with setting things up and pulling decorations out of the rental room, keeping our mimosa bar stocked, etc. We still wouldn’t change anything - and we look forward to staying in treehouses in the future! -

Our wedding on July 1st at the Mohicans was beautiful! Everyone raved about how lovely the venue was and had a blast with the treehouses. All week people have been telling me how beautiful it was. There’s gorgeous photo ops all over the property. They provided two day-of coordinators, Heather and Amy, who did a phenomenal job. They took care of everything we needed, all night long. The venue is so beautiful on its own you don’t even have to do much decorating. Plus, they have a decor rental room, and using it is the best decision you can make! It’s full of candles, lanterns, vases, signs, and other decor. All we really did is bring flowers. Our wedding was absolutely magical.
Two notes that I do have: The communication with them wasn’t great. Very difficult to get them on the phone so all communication was restricted to email, which could take some time to get a reply. The amount of information given wasn’t very extensive. The final month they really stepped it up, but it’s not ideal when you spend over a year prior planning. Also, the navigation directions on their website isn’t great. The roads around the venue don’t have good signage, and are dirt and twisty, plus the lack of cell service. It’s hard to find a transportation company, especially one that’s been there before, so it adds on stress as to whether guests will arrive on time. They need a reliable transportation service to work with them, and maybe some better signage.
All in all I had a wonderful wedding day and am very glad I had my wedding there! -

Our wedding was amazing and simply rocked!
:: The Good ::
• Beautiful location with lush greenery, a mirror lake, great for photos, truly a different dimension. The grand barn itself is very cute.
• This venue is affordable.
• The catering team was a pleasure to work with. Very communicative, the food was fantastic (Steak, Chicken, Asian salad was a star, green beans, potato gratin).
• Servers and bartenders were professional and kind!
• Amber, the event manager, really took care of us, guided us through and made everything happen.
:: The Bad ::
• Communication was bad. The emails were not signed, probably answered by one of the planning team so it was hard to know who you were talking to. We worried that our concerns would not get addressed and up until the day of the event we did not have a point person we could come to with questions.
• A bit dark, at least over the head table our older guests had a hard time reading menus and their speeches. Make sure you bring another strand of string light or a fixture to supplement the lighting.
• Tables are sad. Aside from the head table, the tables that they offer are almost picnic tables, so they didn't look great.
• Bare bones. Meaning the venue is cheap however you gotta take down your flowers/ arch, candles etc.. the same night. You might want to hire a day-of coordinator to tie in the pieces together, decorating the tables.
• Our DJ had to play quietly because the music might have bothered some campers???
This was weird for me. We were able to move our guests onto the balcony right where the DJ set up but for a bigger party this would have been a bust.
:: Things to take into account ::
• No signage, this could easily be solved by putting a few signs, instead of navigating through dirt roads in rural Ohio.
• No WiFi and choppy reception. So plan accordingly.
All in all, our wedding was a huge success! We prioritized having our guests entertained either with drinks, late night food, or having the fire pit lit, amazing DJ which was our recipe for success.
If you are a very hands-on couple, this is a place for you because it's very bare bones in the sense that you have to piece all the vendors together and deal with communication. -

Sarah Sent on 09/08/2014The Grand Barn was the perfect venue for our fun-loving, DIY, woodsy wedding! The location is beautiful and we received several compliments from our guests. We could not have asked for a more perfect venue (or view!). Some definite perks that made our wedding the best ever were: the awesome photo opportunities (in the woods, the tree houses, and even in a canoe on the lake!), and the great accommodations within walking distance from the barn (we stayed in the 4-guest tree house on our wedding night but easily rented out the rest of the cabins to our guests). If you love the outdoors and don't mind going off the grid (no internet or cell service!) for your big day, you should definitely go take a tour of the barn. It's awesome! -

Breathtaking venue and quality service
This venue itself is a dreamscape wonderland for a wedding. It is a perfect layout for a wedding with photo ops in every corner and spaces for people to commune. The catering blew our minds and was incredibly delicious. They created a custom menu for us as we had a Tiki-themed wedding and it was memorable. The billing was confusing at times as there was no central place to see all of the bills for the venue, catering, treehouses etc. So we were back and forth often with the billing department spending time squaring away what was paid and what was owed. Other than that the staff were very kind and accommodating and we couldn't have asked for a better venue. -

Ashley Sent on 09/23/2017It's a beautiful venue no doubt, we fell in love as soon as we seen it & knew it was the one. If we could've thought about it all over again we may have decided to just come here in a treehouse for our anniversary instead just because it's pricey. Communication could be better I think they have too much of a workload on too few people? There were a few mix ups throughout, they were all solved thankfully. If considering you must know they have their vendors license therefore you can't bring any of your own alcohol in & if you plan to pay for open bar it will be as if you were to pick up everyones tab in a local bar. You can't get in to decorate until 10 a.m. the morning of due to them running weddings Friday-Sunday, which we tried to follow the less is more rule in order to not fall behind. I still ended up hiring the local florist to assist, mainly with outside decor. They have a room full of mainly rustic decor but all is priced to rent & not included in your venue rental purchase. They supply 8 ft. tables & 2 choices of chairs for the reception & benches for the ceremony also a 24 ft. head table, cake table & a few other tables. You have to bring in your own caterer. We rented the newest treehouse (also the most expensive yet) it was beautiful. My only complaint was the water is deifinitely not turned up high enough, I took a very fast & luke warm shower during our stay. In conclusion it is a very unique & beautiful venue, I just think they need to do some price tweeking to make it even more desirable.
