The Grand is truly that: grand beyond comparison!

I just had my reception at The Grand Baltimore September 2023 and I cannot say enough good things. I will start with the venue coordinator, Nina, who was instrumental to the success of our day, and then move to the venue itself.

The Grand was just the second venue we toured and we signed shortly after, so we had been working with Nina about a year and a half from contract date to wedding date. From day one, she went above and beyond to be as welcoming, patient, flexible, and transparent as possible to make our experience a better one. She went far beyond the expectations of her position to ensure that we were getting everything we wanted and needed, from letting us get ready at the venue when we had no other space, to making an extra entree just for us to try when we misread the menu for the tasting. Over that year and a half of countless email back and forth, late-night texts, meeting my family during several visits, Nina became a friend who was such a big part of the day.

Now the venue itself can speak for itself just with pictures alone, but I will give a little extra. Like I said, we only toured two places before deciding on The Grand, but it's because there was no point seeing any more. After stepping foot into the building, we knew nothing else would compare. Built in the 1800s as the freemason's headquarters and boasting the most stunning stonework and architecture you'll see in the city, The Grand has not only the elegance I wanted, but the history and character of a building made to impress. It has multiple ballrooms, each with their own individual style to suit your event vibe. We were having a celestial wedding, so it was a no brainer to choose the Mirror Room for our reception, which had spectacular star-shaped light fixtures dotting a ceiling the color of the night sky. The adjacent room was used for our cocktail hour and looked like it came right out of a story book. People raved about the food and the day went off without a hitch.

It is expensive, but you get so much for the price: attendants, bridal suite, amazing hors d'oeuvres, open bar, all tables/linens/cutlery, three course dinner, cake and coffee service. So yeah, it was a lot of money but I loved it so much I actually cut my guest list down just to be able to afford it and don't tell the people who got cut, but it was totally worth it and I'd do it again haha The wedding pictures I got from this venue, the memories I got for this venue, the friendships I made from this venue are priceless and beyond compare. 10/10 would get remarried here hahaha

    A Fantastic Venue Experience

My now husband and I got married at the Grand Baltimore in July 2022 and we were incredibly impressed by the professionalism, responsiveness and overall experience at the Grand. We unfortunately had to find a new venue within 6 months of our wedding and the Grand invited us to visit with open arms and were incredibly easy to work with throughout the process. Nina was our point of contact and she was incredibly thoughtful and responsive to the many emails we sent to her with last minute questions. The Grand has a ton of different options for event space. We used the Edinburgh hall for our ceremony, the Corinthian room for our reception and the Roman Strata room for our cocktail hour. The cost of the venue is on par with costs of other venues in Baltimore City but we got 3 rooms for the price of what some venues charge for just one event space. Our caterers were familiar with working at the Grand and we had plenty of space for our 120 guests, dance floor, DJ , 2 bars, and 3 station style areas in the Corinthian room. Nina went above and beyond to make sure we were treated so well our entire night and even sent champagne to our hotel room for afterwards.

    Best night of our lives

My wife and I researched and visited about 6 or 7 different venues in Baltimore City and ultimately chose the Grand, where we recently had our wedding reception in October of 2019. Overall, the experience was quite positive and we are very happy with the service and accommodations offered from beginning to end. First, the Grand was a convenient option, due to its affiliation with the Embassy Suites Hotel by Hilton. The Grand is connected on the 5th floor to the Embassy Suites Hotel. Guests staying at the hotel do not have to exit the hotel to access the Grand’s reception areas. The Grand reserved a discounted room block for our guests and were willing to adjust the size of our room block based on our number of guests. We were also given a two-night complimentary stay at the Hotel. Additionally, we were given Hilton Honors points for choosing this venue (which will later pay for half of our honeymoon).
As for the wedding itself, the staff was extremely accommodating to our needs. Many of our guests were impressed by the Beef short rib entrée and the custom wedding cake was fantastic. There were several options to choose from for our cocktail hour and reception; and we ended up choosing The Marble Room and The Corinthian. My groomsmen and I got ready in a historic conference room, that also happened to be a significant scene in the Netflix series “House of Cards”. The Grand has a very regal atmosphere that’s rich with history and looks classy throughout the entirety of the building, making for excellent photographs; just make sure to let your photographer know that the interior is a bit dark, so additional lighting may be necessary.
Overall, we were treated with the utmost professionalism. Any issues that arose were handled promptly by the staff. We highly recommend working with Jacqueline Hannah as she gave us the white glove treatment. Thank you for helping host one of the best nights of our lives!

We had an AMAZING wedding! The venue is very BEAUTIFUL, the food is GREAT, and the team is the BEST! My coordinator was Nina and Kelley, and they need a raise! Both ladies was on point and very helpful every step of the way. I could not have pulled this off without them and and my planner (Stephanie at CJ's Mommy Planning). All of my guest said it was the best wedding they have been to in a long time, and some said ever. Its a month later and people are still talking about it and the food. I'm so glad we didn't settle for Martin's location. The pricing is about the same, but you get WAAAAAYYYYYY more bang for your buck at The Grand.

There is not enough words I can say about this venue and Mrs. Nina who assisted us on our special day! I came across this venue last March and fell in love! Mrs. Nina made sure my husband and I were well taken care of throughout our whole process! The saddest part about our we wedding being over is not having to talk to Mrs. Nina almost every day. Whatever we wanted, needed, didn't want or need she made sure my husband and I were satisfied with our day and we are. Our family and friends say that was THEE best wedding they've ever been to and it would not have been possible without Wedding Wire and Mrs. Nina! THANK YOU. THANK YOU. THANK YOU!!

The Grand was the second of four venues that I looked at. I was swept away by the decor and feel of the place. It had all the key points I was looking for (good for guests because of the attached hotel, beautiful venue so I didn't have to decorate, convenient parking, all-inclusive pricing, and friendly staff) and I had no doubt that this was the place I wanted to get married in. I was lucky that my now-husband felt the same way.

The staff is very friendly and fairly organized. It can be hard to get a hold of them sometimes, but it helps to send ALL your questions and documents into one massive email rather than 12 small ones. Dealing with the attached hotel was a mess, but I don't blame the Grand for that.

The tasting was ok (they mixed up an entree we were tasting and the temperature of the food was a little colder than I would have liked), but they delivered a great product the day of. They even went as far as to give my now-husband roasted potatoes as his side instead of risotto because he prefers potatoes.

I loved getting married at the Grand and I want to extend my sincerest thanks to Cindy Baucom, Nina Cardenas, and the rest of the fantastic staff for making it magical.

It's almost hard to begin to describe why this was such a wonderful venue for my daughter's wedding but things that come to mind are the beautiful rooms, each with their own particular charm and character, that we had access to for the ceremony, cocktail hour, bride's room dressing room, groom's room and additional rooms for photos. Also, we will never forget Nina Cardenas (my daughter's wedding coordinator). She went to great lengths to accommodate my daughter, was clearly experienced and professional, she was flexible, a great manager, organizer and director, and Nina made us feel that everything that she did was from the heart.

Grand Historic Venue was where the wedding took place - we had Eun Kim as our planner. She stepped in and cleaned a mess up with previous colleagues. She was patient , detailed and flexible. Accommodated our family needs and requests in a timely and professional manner. We appreciated her willingness to make everything work and be a wonderful memory for the bride and groom .

I would highly recommend this beautiful or date venue for a wedding, Gala, or any other event such as corporate conference etc. I would also highly recommend Eun Kim to be assigned as your planner.

The Grand is just that, GRAND. We started our planning a year before the wedding, working with Cathy Peck. From the very first phone call, Cathy exuded a caring for our wedding that lasted throughout the entire planning and execution. Cathy's guidance and expertise was invaluable. She gave her expert advise to help us plan an amazing event.

Together with Amy Lindsay and the staff of the Grand and Embassy Suites, Cathy orchestrated the most beautiful wedding we could imagine. Everything went off without the slightest blip.

Having our wedding at the Grand felt like we walked into a regal palace and lived the life of royalty. Amy's attention to detail was evident. She created her own "screen play" of the wedding and made sure that all of our wishes were met without exception. Amy coordinated with all of our vendors, creating an event that left everyone in attendance with experiencing a stunning wedding and saying it was "the best time they ever had." We cannot thank Amy enough for handling every detail so perfectly that we had not a single concern the entire night.

We thank everyone at the Grand and Embassy Suites for making our wedding perfect in every way. You surely deserve the name GRAND!

I have absolutely nothing negative to say about my beautiful wedding ceremony at the Grand Historic Venue! Amy was a fantastic wedding coordinator: responsive, professional, reassuring, and very efficient. The ceremony went perfectly and the room was set up exactly as I had imagined. When my bridesmaids and I forgot lots of our personal items in the dressing room after the ceremony, Amy had everything (including my iPhone 5) collected and neatly delivered to our hotel room! Amy went out of her way to make sure the rehearsal was scheduled on the day I wanted it, even going so far as to enlist the help of a coworker when she couldn't be there herself. Thank you so much to Amy Lindsey and all the others at the Grand Historic Venue for an unforgettable, wonderful experience!

The Tremont or now The Grand Historic Venue was absolutely amazing. Lauren was our wedding coordinator and made the process so easy. My dream wedding has always include - good food & drinks and a good time. I did not want to be a crafty bride. The Grand is so elegant and beautiful. I felt like a queen every time I went there and especially on my wedding day. It was honestly a dream wedding. Lauren deserves 99% of the credit because she kept me on track on what was needed. Emailed me back ASAP. And made the process so easy. Everyone was complimenting me on how stress free I was but it was all because of Lauren. If I had to do it all again - I would pick The Grand in a heartbeat.

How can I possibly describe how beautiful this venue is. Every single guest I spoke with couldn't believe how gorgeous the rooms were. Even the children asked if they were in a princess's castle, because the building was so beautiful! I worked with Amy as my coordinator and because of her I had the wedding of my dreams. The minute we walked into the Grand we knew we wanted to get married at this venue. The sales office was very helpful and as soon as I met with Amy, I knew my wedding would be flawless. She was available, supportive, and made it feel like I was planning my wedding with my best friend. Every detail was carefully covered up until the morning of the wedding. Even when things would change, Amy would hug me, smile, and say "I got you". The day of the wedding went smooth and there was always someone right there to take care of us. Amy was in contact with all my vendors to make sure everyone was where they needed to be. Our ceremony was in Edinburgh Hall and the room was majestic. The cocktail hour was in the Oriental Room and people raved about how gorgeous every detail was. The Mirror room is where we held our reception and it couldn't have turned out more beautiful. The food was delicious (people couldn't stop talking about the strawberry dessert!!) My dream wedding happened because of the Grand and it's wonderful staff. I cannot say enough about how happy I am with our choice to celebrate our wedding at the Grand Historic Venue. It truly was the best day of our life!

My wedding would not have been the same without our wedding planner Lauren. She was a true professional, and went above and beyond to make my day perfect! We had a few glitches with hotel guests at the Embassy Suites since it was under new ownership -- but everything at the Grand went perfectly. The food was amazing, great service... I loved working with everyone at the Grand Historic Venue! The Grand is the most beautiful venue we visited. It was not the least expensive of the venues we visited before making our decision, but I feel that the Grand was worth every penny! It completely fit the dream of what we wanted our wedding to be. It has the most romantic atmosphere.

Lauren was our event coordinator. She is the sweetest, easiest, most energetic person to work with. Honestly I don't know how I would have been able to plan everything without her! She calmed my nerves when I was sure we were going to be late for the ceremony, and made sure everything went off without a hitch. If you get to work with Lauren, you are a very lucky bride!

Our reception at the Grand was AMAZING! The food was amazing, the service was spectacular, the atmosphere was unbeatable! Our guests were pleased with the level of service they received, the quality of the food, and the friendliness and responsiveness of the staff. I would recommend the Grand without a moment of hesitation.

I had been to many weddings at the Grand so when it came time to select a venue I thought it was a no brainier. After shopping around the Grand offered us the best price for the best quality of services and let me tell you they did not disappoint. Amy was assigned as my wedding coordinator and she was wonderful to work with and always responsive (and I emailed her A LOT). Everyone was so accommodating and easy to work with and Amy made sure my day ran smoothly. And as far as I can tell it all went PERFECTLY!! If I had to do it all again I would pick the Grand again -- no questions asked!!

We also booked at huge block of rooms with the adjoining Embassy Suites. The staff at both the hotel and the venue were top-notch. Every where went people were ensuring that we had everything we needed. They let us pretty much take over their bar area for two days and frequently stopped by to make sure we were doing okay. Every one knew I was a bride, and on such a fun weekend it was a wonderful touch.

I had a wonderful experience with the Tremont. In fact, the venue and more importantly the wedding coordinator, Amy Lindsey, exceeded my expectations. As many people have indicated in their reviews of the Tremont, the venue is gorgeous and I received many compliments from guests about the venue's ambiance, decor, and food (we used the Edinburgh, Roman Strada, and Corinthian rooms). I also received compliments on how smoothly the evening went, which I credit to Amy. She is very organized, responsive, and genuine. She was the best thing about my experience at the Tremont and I feel fortunate to have worked with her.

I would 100% recommend the Tremont to any Baltimore brides looking for a venue.

The Tremont Grand is a magnificent venue. It offers a very different look from most other options and can accommodate a large group. My wedding was just under 130 people, with cocktails in the Oriental Room and dinner and dancing in the Edinburgh. Amy Lindsey was my coordinator and she was fabulous. Every concern I had, she laid to rest. Every question, she had an answer; every request, she had a big 'yes.' Amy was full of great advice and I often felt that she went beyond the line of duty. For example, we wanted to have a cookie table with over 1500 home made cookies. Amy said, sure, they could plate the cookies for us and even sprinkle powdered sugar on the pizzels! The rest of the staff was equally accommodating and always seemed genuinely happy for us. The food was excellent: perfectly cooked fillets and appetizers that had been tweaked by us at the tasting. As the whole night whirled by me, I was finally headed up to my suite where the staff, with the help of my bridesmaids, had deposited every personal item I'd had anywhere near the bridal suite. The Tremont is fabulous venue with an amazing staff. I couldn't have asked for better and I would highly recommend them and Amy to anyone.

From the minute I walked into the Tremont, my husband and I knew that this is where we had to have our wedding. I had two wishes for my wedding venue before I even started looking...outdoor space for cocktail hour and high ceilings. While the Tremont doesn't have an outdoor space for cocktail hour, the rest of the venue was so impressive I didn't care. It was extremely unique and I thought to myself that even if I didn't want to decorate it, it would be beautiful as is!

After signing the contract, Lauren was assigned as my event coordinator and I have no words to even describe the tremendous job she did. She was always so responsive, professional and helpful! The day would not have been what it was without her. All of my guests are still complementing me on how smooth everything ran and for that I cannot thank Lauren enough. I hope that many couples give this venue a look as I promise you won’t be disappointed.

The Tremont Grand was the perfect venue for our wedding. Not only is it gorgeous inside but everyone we worked with was amazing! We got to take photos all over the venue. I love that we were not limited to the floor all our events were on. Plus the chef was very flexible with the menu and allowed me to get creative. Our wedding was perfect! Our event manager, Amy was spectacular! She made everything easy on us. And our wedding party attendant, Nina was awesome! We also stayed over night in the hotel since it was complimentary for my husband & I. The suite we stayed in was really nice. I would definitely hold another event at the Tremont Grand.

As mother of the bride you pray that the day will be everything your daughter dreams of. The Tremont Grand totally made the wedding weekend all that we ever could want. The venue is so beautiful and elegant yet was warm, comfortable and able to be personalized to our needs. So many guests emailed, called and raved about how it was the most beautiful and fun wedding they had ever attended. They couldn't say enough about how nice the Tremont Grand was for a wedding. The staff was so professional and helpful. As others have said, the sales staff were not always so efficient in getting back to you but once you were assigned the event coordinator, all was taken care of perfectly. Our planner was Lauren Flaig, and there are no words to describe how helpful and efficient she was to make recommendations, be so patient and answer any question with quick responses, and to take all the stress away while you know all is being handled down to the last little detail so you can be fully in the moment and present just enjoying the wedding. There was no step along the way that was difficult or stressful in working with the Tremont Grand. I highly recommend that any bride and groom take a look when searching for your venue.

Everything was perfect! Our coordinator Lauren was easy to work with and made sure everything ran smoothly both leading up to the wedding and day of.
The rooms were beautiful, the staff was professional, and guests had only positive things to say. I took flowers from the church pews and the Tremont added them to the bathroom stalls. Guests were very impressed by this.
We had filet/crab cake duo and everyone raved about how good it was. The chef who was at our tasting came up to my husband and I on our wedding night to say hello and make sure the food was to our liking. We were impressed by this (1) that it was the same chef from the tasting and (2) that he cared enough to stop by and make sure everything was perfect for us.
Every single thing about our wedding ran smoothly and I would highly recommend the Tremont to anyone getting married in Baltimore!

My husband and I were married October 14th 2011 at the Tremont Grand Historic Venue. Lauren Flaig was our coordinator and she did a fantastic job. She told me from the beginning that she would make sure my wedding ran smoothing and I could enjoy myself. Lauren over exceeded my expectations!!!

Lauren and her staff did an AMAZING job, I honestly have nothing negative to say. My husband and I really enjoyed our day. Our guest were blown away by the service they received and the attentiveness of the staff.

I would absolutely recommended this venue to any and everyone.

There is not a single negative thing my husband nor I could ever say about our wedding at the Tremont Grand. It was truly perfection from start to finish.

We had a very long engagement and the venue was the first thing we booked, since our wedding was over Labor Day weekend. We went to about 8 venues in Baltimore, before looking at the Tremont. We liked some of the other places, but the minute we walked into the Tremont, we knew our wedding had to be there. The first person we met at the Tremont was Delia Wilson. Her first motto is that she doesn't shake hands, she only gives hugs. Immediately, I loved her.

Delia was extremely sweet and helpful, and we knew in working with her, we would get everything we wanted for our special day... and we did.

After signing the contract, we met Lauren Flaig, our wedding coordinator. Lauren is one of the most kind, caring, and loving people I know... and to top it off, she's tough! She will make your day perfect, no matter what it takes. Whether it's getting a specific type of wine for your guests, making your dance floor fit, safety-pinning your dress up because your bustle won't work, etc. etc. etc.

What I miss most about wedding planning would probably have to be talking/emailing with Lauren daily... she became way more than a wedding coordinator, she became a friend.

Looking back on the past year and half of planning our wedding, I realize that the times I felt stressed or worried that something would go wrong, Lauren was there to calm me down and re-assure me that everything would be perfect... and it was.

The staff at the Tremont are the most warm and friendly group of people. From the valet guys and hotel attendants to the waiters and bartenders, they were so attentive to my guests' needs and truly made the wedding go off without a hitch.

The food was INCREDIBLE... it all tasted exactly as it did the night of our tasting, which is rare considering they were cooking for 200 people and not the 6 at the tasting!

The guests rooms were amazing and very spacious, our guests couldn't stop raving about them. And, our wedding suite was insane!! My 10 bridesmaids, mom, and grandmas all got ready in our suite and it was big enough to fit another 10 people! It was incredible!

If I could do it all over again, I wouldn't change a thing. It was perfection, thanks to the Tremont Grand.

Tremont was the best choice for our wedding venue. The location, architecture of each room, and the foods were amazing. It was truly a dream wedding. The staff is very sweet and they are there to serve you and your guests. We held our entire wedding at the Tremont. The transition from room to room was seamless and my guests truly had a good time. I worked with Brandon - he was super tentative and had genuine concern in making sure out event was what we wanted. I highly recommend!!

THIS PLACE IS AMAZING. My wedding was fabulous! My coordinator Amy was absolutely amazing. we had a dream wedding for a reasonable cost. My guests were awed by how nice the venue space was, how good the food was, how everything flowed, and how nice the actual hotel accommodations were. We had our wedding here and it was perfection!! The rooms are amazing!! The service was excellent! The food was very good for a large wedding of 130 people. We didn't get to go to cocktail hour but heard from our guests that it was awesome. For dinner we had a choice of sea bass or filet. The filet's were a little overcooked but really they always are at most weddings I've been to. That's why I had the sea bass and it was cooked perfectly! I highly recommend Brandon, he was our wedding coordinator and kept everything running so smoothly I wasn't stressed at all. If you are looking for a wedding venue wait till you see this place. it's gorgeous! I had to post-pone my wedding a year just to have my wedding here and it was so worth it!

I felt from the first time that I saw this venue with my husband that this was the place. It was beautiful and the fact that we had so many people coming from out of town having the hotel for people to stay at was an added bonus. We had a coordinator switch from Brandon to Amy four weeks before our wedding but I have to say even though I was nervous because I loved Brandon Amy was supurb. I couldn\'t have asked for better service. Everyone at the tremont grand was so nice and helpful at all times. Everything went great. I will say that it went by fast and a lot of it was a blur because I couldn\'t believe it was happening and that everything looked so beautiful after all that planning. I will go back to the tremont for our anniversary and stay for a few nights again just in hopes to relive just a little bit of how special that day was for the both of us. We had a blast with all of our friends and family and without the tremont I can\'t imagine doing it any other way. The pictures are worth a thousand words as they came out so nice with all the marble. This truly is a beautiful one of a kind historic building. All of our guest couldn\'t believe how nice it all was, many said they have never been to a nicer wedding and the cake which came from the tremont was the best cake they\'ve had. I must say it was the best. Thanks to all at the tremont and they are wonderful to work with.

We had our reception at the Tremont with the cocktail hour in the Mirror Room and the dinner/dancing in the Edinburgh Hall. It was amazing!! We chose the Tremont Grand because the majority of our guests were coming from out of town, and we loved the convenience of the attached Tremont Suites Hotel as well as the proximity to the downtown area. (Though I will say here that I would not recommend the Hotel - we had HUGE problems on that side...including a raging party that had to be broken up by police. Unfortunately, the Hotel side drags the Grand side down...and I hope one day the Hotel matches the elegance and grandeur of the Grand). Noneless, this is about the Grand which we loved for the historic, unique, and beautiful rooms.

Overall, we were VERY PLEASED with how our wedding reception unfolded. The guests unanimously said it was one of the best weddings they had ever been to - which made us very happy given all the hard work we put into every detail. :-) We had our cocktail hour in The Mirror Room, and our reception in The Edinburgh Room which looked gorgeous with the amber up-lighting and our candle-lit centerpieces. The food was delicious, and our elaborate cocktail hour was a highlight for our guests (the crab claws and the petite lamb chops were the fav). People are still raving about our wedding at Tremont - it was elegant, memorable, and certainly not your standard cookie-cutting reception hall.

Lauren Flaig was our Event Manager, and she is superb! We LOVED working with Lauren, and she made the entire process pretty seamless from start to finish. She always responded to my emails right away, was straightforward and upfront, extremely well organized, and very accommodating to our schedule for meeting times. She is a treasure; our experience with Tremont would not have been the same without Lauren.

Conversely, we feel duty-bound to address some things that could have been improved, if for no other reason than the benefit of future married-couples-to-be that choose the Tremont as their venue.
    * NO PORTOBELLO: I learned from our guests that they were not served their portobello mushroom entrees, but were served lasagna instead. This was embarrassing, as this option was 1 of 3 on my RSVP card. Some people who were not necessarily vegetarians chose the portobello because they love portobello. If the option was lasagna, they probably would have selected something else. I wish we would have been consulted about this change.
    * LATE DINNER SERVICE: Because there seemed to be a mix up with the entrees, not all people at the same table were served at the same time. As a result, some people let their food go cold while they waited out of courtesy until all guests at their table were served.
    * GIFT TABLE: Instead of putting the gift table outside, I would have put it next to us or by the cake. Some people felt uncomfortable leaving their envelopes unattended outside of the reception room, and some people didn't even see the box outside before they entered.
    * SHRIMP AND CHOPS: Since we didn't pay attention to the cocktail hour at all, we can only go by what we heard from guests. So, from that...
    a) I understand the shrimp and crab claws bar immediately ran out and was not replenished. This was especially disappointing to hear, especially since this was an extra add-on to our already expensive package.
    b) This seemed to be the same case with the petite lamb chops - it would run out, and people were waiting around until they replenished the dish to try one.

I love the Tremont Grand! They have weddings and the coordination down to a science. Half of the comments from the guests stemmed from the majestic feel of the historic Tremont Grand. Since my wedding theme was sophisticated simple elegance, this venue was perfect.

My wedding coordinator was Brandon. He was amazing. He answered every question I had and was very flexible in providing me what I wanted. The food was also surprisingly good. I picked the venue because of the location and decor. The food was an unexpected bonus. You do not get to taste the food before signing the contract. Brandon made sure that everything ran on time. My guests are still raving about the ceremony and reception. With a December wedding, I think the guests appreciated not having to travel to a reception site after the wedding. Also, there was no lag time between the ceremony, coctail reception, and the sit down dinner. This made the flow appear seamless.

The Tremont is the most elegant venue for brides who cannot be bogged down in details. It's a one-stop shop with the personal attentiveness to detail that you will appreciate with limited time. Having a beautiful separate site for the cocktail hour included in the cost is great. The serivce was VERY professional. Our sit down dinner was beyond elegant and the food was personalized. There was no nit picking. I and my mom (hard to please) were thrilled with our whole night.

I waited to write this review because it is the most important one that I have to write. I am extremely discriminating and particular when it comes to being a hostess and no other venue would do for my guests....it had to be the Tremont Grand. Five floors full of rooms with their own personality? I dare you to find better!
I'd like to thank Suzzane Curtian for the fabulous initial tour and working with my husband and I on creating a contract that would fit who we were. I'd like to thank Melva Cooke for always being pleasant and making sure my guests got the best hotel rates at the Tremont Plaza. I'd like to thank Mrs. Kina for holding me down the evening of the wedding. She is loveable and sincere and it will not be forgotten.
I must give Mrs. Lauren Flaig her own paragraph! Thank you, you're marvelous, and what would I have done without you just don't cut it. Lauren exceeds the expectations of her managers I'm sure and she damn well exceeded mine. Every detail was handled with care. Lauren is organized, funny, firm in a very loving way and I thank God for her. I truly can't tell you what she means to me without bursting into tears (ladies I don't cry often). Her kindness and patience will definitely not be forgotten.
In short, the food and service was excellent. My guests raved about everything, the decor, the drinks, the food, the ambiance...you name it they loved it! Thank you to the servers, chef(s), bartenders, attendants and maintenance staff for making my wedding wonderful and so memorable. You are simply the best!!!

I am a native New Yorker and my wife was born and raised in Baltimore.. so naturally our wedding was to be held in charm city! Needless to say I've been spoiled as to the wedding venues I've attended from the cocktail hour to completion and have attended upwards of 30 weddings in the past 2 years... when we looked at venues my father in-law had fallen in love with one of the hotels in the downtown area, other than the Tremont. We looked at every venue from Pikesville to downtown and the Tremont Grand was the last of the places we saw. With most of my family and our friends being out of town guests it was important that we found a comfortable hotel at a good rate without sacrificing luxury.. When we walked the halls of the once Masonic Temple, Tremont Grand and Plaza, we knew immediately that this was the place we wanted to get married. So much so that my fiancee at the time asked the woman showing us the venue (Danielle) if we were to put a deposit down today can that help!? While, her parents and I thought she was nuts, it seems as though she knew exactly what she was doing.. We got married on 10/9 but placed the reservation for the hall around Jan/Feb time frame. Our wedding coordinator Brandon Casey reached out to us almost immediately and made everything easy from the start. He worked tirelessly to get us enough rooms and the packages we needed. He was more than responsive when even I, the groom (who if you know anything about planning a wedding means nothing) would call him. When we went to town for the tasting I brought my parents along and they had a small issue with the particular room they were in, mainly the size of the bed. Brandon spoke to the front desk and made arrangements for them to stay in a 2 bdrm suite.. he did the same the weekend of the wedding. When the big weekend finally came Brandon was on top of things all weekend. Calling my wife and I to make sure all our plans were set and even that day he called my room to make sure I was ok, calm and ready for anything. He worked with the bridal party to make sure everyone knew exactly what they were supposed to do.. from a run through of walking down the aisle to the pictures and the ketubah signing.. While my wife and I were running around that night making sure everyone was having fun, Brandon was making sure we were. The food was better than the tasting, and being a meat and potatos guy, I've eaten in some of the best steakhouses in NY, Chicago and others.. the filet at the Tremont is a legit piece of meat and was worth every bite.. as was the Chilean Sea bass..The staff at the hotel from the Doormen to the front desk clerks had everything on point and perfect. There were staff that were serving at the wedding and cleaning up until all hours of the morning and then back to work the next morning at the brunch and valet services (Tim) with the same warm, inviting smile and attitude. They are professional, knowledgeable and one of the best service staff I've had the pleasure of being around. They were the glue that kept our wedding together and the behind the scenes crew that put it all together to make this the most amazing weekend of our lives. Without Brandon Casey and the staff at the Tremont, Im not sure it would have been the same.. so a huge thank you to all of you. Anyone who is looking for a wedding venue in Baltimore, would be doing themselves and their guests a disservice by having it anywhere other than the Tremont Grand.

The Tremont was the first place I visited when looking for a venue for our wedding reception. We fell in love instantly and I couldn't find any other place in Baltimore that even compared to it. Danielle gave us the initial tour- she was personable, knowledgeable, and we had so much fun with her! My mother and future mother-in-law were so impressed with everything the Tremont had to offer- the catering, planning, all of the beautiful rooms to choose from-- they even ended up baking our cake. I was worried about budget but Danielle helped us devise a package that met all of our needs.

Our wedding was Memorial Day Weekend so we were concerned about travel for our guests--luckily, the hotel rooms were spacious, updated, and a very affordable price. 75% of our guests were coming from out of town and the Tremont accomodated all of them. Our room rates were unbelievable compared to other hotels in Baltimore city that weekend.

After the initial planning, Lauren Flaig took over as our planner and she was exceptional. She was very professional, responsive, and she paid great attention to detail. We had a great time at all of our meetings and tastings- she was very easy to work with and definitely made us feel relaxed about everything. We had some last minute guest list issues and they were resolved with ease.

Our wedding weekend ran smoothly and successfully. On Friday the Tremont gave our guests shuttle service to the rehearsal, rehearsal dinner, and then to the post-rehearsal party- it was above and beyond what I had expected. On Saturday I was able to focus on my preparation for the wedding and enjoying time with my family because I knew Lauren had control of everything for the cocktail hour and reception later that day. And she definitely exceeded all of our expectations. The rooms were decorated perfectly and things progressed according to our timeline, leaving us plenty of time on the dancefloor at the end of the night. Our service was attentive and timely, especially Zena, our assigned attendant-- she was always there to meet our every need- she placed napkins on our laps before eating and delivered us cocktails before we even had to ask. We felt like royalty.

On Sunday morning, our farewell brunch was also done to perfection. Our guests were so impressed by the presentation and taste of the brunch, as well as the decor (our centerpieces were transferred to the room and there were framed family photos on all the tables for conversation). It was a great way to thank our guests for coming and say one last good-bye.

Overall, my husband and I, as well as our guests, were extremely impressed by the Tremont's excellent service and professionalism, as well as their exceptional catering and elegant atmoshere-- our whole wedding experience was first class and flawless. We had the wedding of our dreams and we are so happy that we chose the Tremont. We highly recommend their services for any celebration!

From the moment when my now husband, parents and I met with Delia Wilson back in September '09, I knew we were going to have our wedding at the Tremont. My dad and my then-fiance, who aren't necessarily men of many words, left the meeting and just could not stop saying how we were never going to find anything better... My mom and I loved it so much, and I really pushed for the splurge I'll admit, but my mom would probably also admit that after looking at the Tremont, no other venue would have been good enough for her only daughter's wedding.

We weren't even sure if we wanted to look at the Tremont at first, it was recommended to us by my cousin (who was my matron of honor) and my aunt. Honestly, the pictures online do NOT do it justice and we weren't sure if we should take the time to look... you have to go see it for yourself! We are from Bel Air, MD but were having the ceremony at my alma mater, the College of Notre Dame. We wanted a reception venue in the city so our guests wouldn't have to drive too far for a Friday night wedding.

After Delia sealed the deal with us, Lauren Flaig and Delia were so accommodating in helping us plan within our budget, but still have an amazing wedding. My mom was a little bit of a momzilla and I know I myself had a lot of questions and requests. Lauren was so patient and professional with us, and like the other post commented, she really brought her "A-game" to every meeting... the big day was no exception. She was attentive to every detail from start to finish in the planning process, and was available to us upon our check-in to the hotel wedding weekend on Thursday afternoon. She was also there all day on our wedding day (Friday), and even helped me get into my wedding dress- she is just truly awesome. I miss our weekly e-mails! Lauren pretty much became my friend throughout the planning.

The staff was so attentive to every guest, and my quiet dad who truly enjoyed his title of Father of the Bride could not stop raving about them. I cannot remember her name, I think it was Connie (?), but she was the main attendant to my husband and myself and to my parents... she even brought up the extra Welcome Bags with Natty Boh beers in them and put the beers in the refrigerator for my dad during the after party in my parents' suite! They only "snafu" was that the valet was a little slow the day of the wedding and a few very important guests were late to the ceremony (which was running late anyways)... but the staff was very apologetic about that. On the whole, they greeted us kindly the entire weekend and always knew who we were. We always felt like VIPs. In my opinion, the staff was nothing short of stellar.

Speaking of the suites, they are awesome. We had 3 Chairman Suites- 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, with a full living room/dining room/kitchen; one for the bride/bridesmaids, one for the groom/groomsmen, and one for my parents. I had 8 bridesmaids spend the night in the suite the night before the wedding, and it was so fun! We all got ready there the next day, and it was a blast, we had plenty of room. And it was so convenient to be able to go right up to our room (well, to the after party at least!) after the reception was over. The guests loved it!

I feel like I'm rambling now, so I won't take up any more space. I think you can tell we loved and had a fabulous experience with the Tremont. Thank you, Tremont Grand, from a very happy bride... an awesome wedding all in all.

The Tremont Grand was the first venue my fiance and I looked at and we were sold immediately. From our first phone call to our final check out the Tremont Grand made the entire planning process a true pleasure. Lauren Flaig and the entire event staff are the definition of professionals. Lauren was incredibly responsive, answered all of our questions, had wonderful ideas and suggestions, worked easily with all personalities involved, and brought her "A" game from start to finish. If the beautiful venue were doesn't sell itself, the staff certainly will!
Our wedding weekend was more than we ever imagined and we have Lauren and the Tremont Event Staff to thank for it! All of our guests stayed at the Tremont Plaza and they raved about the spacious rooms, easy access to the inner harbor, and helpfulness of the staff. I would reccommend the Tremont Grand to any and every Bride I know hands down! THANK YOU to the TREMONT GRAND for the most amazing day of our lives.
    Sincerely,
    Amanda

We had our ceremony and reception at the Tremont and just loved it. We received SO many compliments from guests on everything. My friends said our wedding had the best food start to finish out of all of our weddings. There were a couple of small problems with service at the reception, but they were relatively minor in the grand scheme of things. The dinner service was a little slow (we had to ask for the main course for my husband's dad b/c he didn't get one) and our attendant opened all the bottles of our very nice champagne at once and was getting it all mixed up (we had some special bottles for bride & groom). We had such an amazing time though that these things really didn't end up mattering much.

Brandon was our coordinator and he was exceptional. He was very professional and was on top of everything. I can't say enough good things about him. He even ran to my mom's hotel room right before the ceremony when we realized we left the binder with the readings there.

Overall everything was gorgeous and tasty and we keep getting compliments from our guests about how nice everything was.

Wow! What a fantastic venue. I fell in love with it when I first saw it and there was no turning back. If you want an elegant, but original and historic looking venue downtown Baltimore, with 5 star catering in house, PLUS hotel capacity, this is it. similar looking venues in Baltimore will charge room rental fees, but Tremont grand does not. Fine linens and beautiful china are already included. No add ons needed. You can work with the banquet chef to customize a menu that fits your budget. They are worth every penny.

This venue is still a bit unknown since it was only restored a few years ago. So beautiful! Their staff works with you to plan the event and provide a day of coordinator. We had 200 guests at our April 2010 wedding who all raved about the food, the venue, hotel rooms etc. Brandon was my coordinator and he did a fantastic job with every single detail. On our wedding day, we just took it all in and had a great time. We didnt worry about a thing and it all went off without a hitch. Amazing, amazing venue with so many options for ceremony, and reception because of the different ballroom options. What a gem!

Absolutely Fabulous. I couldn't have asked for better service. The staff at the Tremont Grand made my Valentine's Day wedding a dream come true. My husband and I started planning two years prior to our wedding. The venue was perfect; everything was in one location. I can't even describe how the staff stayed on top of every detail. All we had to do was show up. I would recommend the venue to any bride. You will not be disappointed!

We attended the Coates wedding on January 17, 2010. The bride is my co-worker and she was very calm during the entire planning phase of the wedding. I know now that her calm demeanor during the wedding planning had to have been because of her superb wedding coordinator, Brandon Casey. Everything about the wedding, from the invitations to the dancing at the reception, was elegant and full of love. The venue was beautiful with the marble columns and graceful decorations. All of the guests were seated comfortably in the wedding hall. In addition, while we were waiting for the reception to begin, the food stations were generous and the pasta bar was superb. There were ample choices for all, including excellent choices for non-meat eaters. Although we were stuffed when the reception began, we could not resist the stunning presentation of the salad or the scrumptious meal that was prepared for us. The bride looked like a princess and the ceremony and reception were fit for royalty. All of the staff at the Tremont Grand were kind, accomodating, and sincerely interested in making sure that all of the needs of the guests were met. Everything about the day was smooth from start to finish. Thank you Brandon for making this such a wonderful day for them...it is truly the day that love made history.

The Tremont is a very exquisite and an opulent venue to hold marital nupituals. Brandon Casey was our event coordinator and he did a marvelous and outstanding job. The quality of his performance is greatly commendable. We had a grand time and during our intimate and lavish stay, it was the most memorable event ever. The guest and bridal party was treated with an abundance of caring, the quality of service was very accomodating and the professionalism of the hotel staff and Brandon was always above reproach. I recommend the Tremont Grand for any event that needs precise careful attention to the details of any function (business or personal). Angela Fenwick, Mother of the Groom

I recently attended my best friend's wedding at the Tremont Grand. Initially I was just impressed with the venue! So many options to choose from for food, style of the hall, and suplimentary vendors. On the day of the ceremony (and during planning phases) the coordinator proved to far out weigh the physical amenties the venue offered. Weddings can be complicated and emotional events, but this was one of the smoothest most enjoyable weddings I've ever attended, and Tremont's event coordinator handled everything beautifully. He anticipated our needs, and exceeded our expectations, with a smile. Ultemately we had a great night! If I could change the hands of time I would love to have Tremont and Brendan as part of my big day. My best friend's wedding was an enjoyable scene right off of the wedding channel thanks to Brendan.

First let me start by saying Thank You to my Neice Lamecca Coates for allowing me to take part in her most spectacular day! My weekend stay at your luxury hotel was outstanding from my arrival through departure. The venue that my neice chose for both her wedding and reception added the finishing touch to such a magical occasion. The Edinburg Hall had such a detailed setting that was perfect for her intimate wedding, with that being said the reception hall was breath taking , the lighting was set just right, the space was perfect, the presentation of the food was awesome ,and the taste told it all..... All this would not have been possible without Brandon Casey an Outstanding, Most Patient, and Organized, Wedding Coordinator that helped bring Lamecca's vision to Reality. If you are looking for a venue that would leave you and your guess breath taking book the Tremont Hotel.

The Tremont provided excellent service and facilities for my wedding nuptials and reception. As part of my package I was assigned a wedding coordinator which initially I was really nervous. I consider myself a perfectionists, pretty picky, and a stickler for details and superb customer service. I was blessed to receive Brandon Casey as my wedding planner who was perfect in every way. He was attentive to my needs, answered my questions/calls promptly, provided applicable feedback and definitely provided a level of customer service that was outstanding. He worked very hard to make sure I wasnt just content, or happy, but ecstatic about my many choices including linen choices, specialty cocktails, walked me over to a florist (although I decided ultimately to do my own centerpieces) He even put together my centerpieces. I really couldnt have asked for anything more. I truly had a stress free wedding day. People are still raving about the wedding, the details, and specifically Bandon. Anyone looking for a professional male version of a fashionista with eye for details Brandon is definitely your guy. Good luck with your future nuptials.

When we were looking for a large venue, we came across the Tremont in Downtown Baltimore and loved it. Yes, it is a little more expensive than most but the atmosphere is stunning and the staff is incredible.

During the entire planning stages of our reception we were given Lauren as our event cordinator. She was amazing! Her attention to detail made the event perfect. She even remembered my dad doesnt like onions on his tremont salad! ha

The place is beautiful and the food delicious. I recommend this venue to any bride!

I do not think words could describe how much I enjoyed working with the Tremont's excellent wedding team! My wedding was absolutely stunning! The Tremont has two sets of rooms that are available for wedding use. My wedding was held in the Roman Estrada room. This room is so elegant, that I did not need to embellish it's beauty by using a lot of flowers (which saved some costs on the flowers). I used some tall standing candles which gave the room such a romantic feel. The Tremont event coordinators are wonderful, they take care of every whim you may have. I never had to take gifts back to the room at the end of the night, they did everything for me. I never had to ask for a drink during the night, and they were so professional. I thoroughly recommend the Tremont Grand for a wedding or any event as they have multiple rooms to accommodate any needs. Their food was EXCELLENT!

Tremont Grand was amazing! My fiance and I went to over 75 venues in the area before choosing the Tremont for our special day. I believe in seeing all my options so that I can pick the very best one. We used the Roman Strada for our ceremony, the Marble Room for our cocktail hour and the Corinthian Room for our reception. Everything couldn't have been more beautiful. I enjoyed every step of the planning process with Lauren and the team at the Tremont. Oh, and don't forget about that gorgeous bathroom on the first floor - recently named one of the top ten most beautiful bathrooms in the US!!!! It is breathtaking! Attending the tasting alone was such a fun, personal experience. They even prepared something special for me (I am a super picky eater!). We married during the holidays so we benefited from the numerous beautiful Christmas trees and other professional decor that filled the rooms and hallways. Our pictures came out beautifully here in each of the unique and historically beautiful rooms, halls and lobbies. The personal detail and personal attention that we received on our day was worth every penny! Each table in the reception had their very own server who would even refold a napkin when someone got up to dance! They are experts at every step! The attendant for our sweetheart table was super sweet and made our day that much more special. She made sure that we enjoyed every part of our meal and everything in between. Oh, and all of our guests were absolutely blown away by our wedding!!!! They couldn't get over how beautiful everything was!!!! Definitely use the Tremont! They can't be beat!!! You will remember it forever!

Wow! I just have to say that a year before I even got engaged, I knew I was going to get married at the Tremont Grand. I had gone to their annual My Day Magazine bridal event with some friends, and I instantly fell in love with all the beautiful rooms. My fiance and I actually booked the rooms we wanted several months before we even got engaged. We booked three rooms - The Doric room for the ceremony, the Oriental Room for the cocktail hour, and the breathtaking Edinburgh Hall for the reception. I couldn't have been happier! All of my guests have told me that this is the most fun wedding they've ever been too. I have to thank Lauren, who was my wedding coordinator, for keeping everything running so smoothly. She was such a pleasure to work with. We were going through a lot of the same things together because she got married a few weeks after I did, and we've exchanged pictures as well. The food and beverages were amazing, and I also have to thank the reception service staff. They were excellent, and always there getting you anything you needed.

My one small complaint is in regards to the Tremont Plaza which is where my guests and I stayed the night of the wedding, and where I also stayed the night before. When my husband and I got back up to the suite (same one I had stayed in the night before with my bridesmaids), we found that the room had not been cleaned, the beds weren't made, the dirty dishes were still on the table from breakfast that morning, and the dirty towels were still all over the bathroom. It didn't feel like a honeymoon suite at all. I knew that they hadn't cleaned anything. We had housekeeping come to the room that day, and we told them that we would be moving to the bridal suite in the Tremont Grand at 2:00. I expected them to come back and clean the room, but nobody ever did. We just found a pile of clean towels on the table in the living area.

My advice, if you get married in the Tremont Grand, it's beautiful and I can't say enough wonderful things about it or the lovely staff there. If you're staying in the adjacent Tremont Plaza Hotel the night before your big event, make sure you tell them several times that you want the room cleaned after a certain time.

To Lauren, and the rest of the wonderful staff at the Grand, thank you from the bottom of my heart! You all made this event such a special day for me and my husband.

    Erika and Gary Carpenter

This was a great venue! All of their rooms have a very unique design - not at all like the traditional hotel ballrooms! Everything is very distinctive. We used 5 of their rooms for a pretty elaborate wedding and each room had a different feel and different theme - it was perfect! The food was fabulous - they were able to accommodate our requests and worked with us to create a perfect menu. We received countless complements on the venue and the food - our guests are still talking about the venue 3 weeks later!

Some of my guests even commented that they wish they got married there and are going to recommend it to their children when they are ready to get married. It truely is a place that you have to see to believe.

This is a beautiful well-kept secret of Baltimore. Most would immediately look for something right on the water, but no other venue I visited in the city compared to the stunning architecture inside of The Grand. Katie, our coordinator at The Grand, was particularly accommodating and willing to work with us on all of our requests to make sure our day was perfect.

As the Mother of the Bride, I had the privilege of working with Diane Abrahams regularly since my daughter lives out of the area. Diane was WONDERFUL! She is extremely organized and made sure every single detail was discussed and documented. Our meetings were always professional and she devoted as much time as we needed - we never felt rushed. The tasting and final meeting with the entire staff that would be working our event was unbelievable. The day of the reception - every detail was perfect! The staff, food and decor exceeded our expectations. Our guests were amazed at the entire experience and as Rebecca stated above, we are still receiving complements on the perfect "fairy tale" wedding. Thank you Diane and the entire staff of The Grand!!!

We had my son's wedding (groom reception ) on June 8th,2014 at Grand Historic Venue. What a magnificent place. It was a mix wedding . after signing the contract with Cathy Peck who is expert in international wedding and such a nice person . I received the email from Eun Kim .who was our wedding coordinator. She was just amazing to work with during the planning process. She understood the cultural traditions and helped plan the perfect fusion wedding .She worked very hard for us . Night of the reception she stayed till the end to make sure every thing went as plan. Eun was so kind and friendly to work with. Her hard worked showed through the night. My husband and I were very please with her.
The Venue is Gorgeous & hardly required much decoration on our end due to the beauty of the venue.
Grand Historic catered Indian food from Aroma Indian cuisine for us. It was absolutely delicious . All our guest were very please with the venue and food.
I will highly recommend Grand Historic Venue and Eun Kim as a wedding coordinator . I know we made the best choice. Ruby Sorathia

We knew the second we walked into the Tremont that we wanted to get married there. We used the Edinburgh, Roman Strada and Corinthian rooms. They are all gorgeous! We were able to pick the rooms we wanted which was a big bonus. Amy was our coordinator and she was so incredibly valuable! She was so helpful and so attentive and patient throughout the entire planning process. Having our wedding at the Tremont was the best decision we ever made. You won't be disappointed!

The Tremont is amazing! Lauren was great at catching details we were missing and making sure our special day went off without any issues. She made sure nothing clashed and that every detail was caught. For someone who is very detail oriented, Lauren was a great wedding coordinator to work with.

We originally were not considering the Tremont but something made me walk in when another wedding was occurring. It was decided then and there that it was the place for our special night. As someone who spends a lot of time in hotel meeting rooms, I did not want to get married in anything that felt like work. I was very happy to find that the Tremont's rooms were not like regular hotel ballrooms and that it conveniently had a hotel attached for our many out of town guests. I would highly recommend the Tremont for someone who wants a unique wedding venue.

I would recommend the Tremonts and especially our coordinator, Ashley, to any bride!

The location is beautiful and perfect for city couples. The food is amazing! All the rooms are gorgeous! From the moment I first saw the building I knew I wanted to be married there.

Ashley was amazing. She was very responsive and helped me make all the decisions. She answered our million questions promptly and did not make us feel like they were stupid. She had great ideas like votive candles on the tables during the cocktail hour. I really felt like she was so excited for us throughout the entire process.

The day of the wedding she coordinated everything, even a few last minute hiccups with vendors. I could actually slightly relax on my wedding day knowing she would take care of everything. She even emailed us after the wedding to make sure we had a good honeymoon and enjoyed our wedding day.

The Plaza Hotel is so convenient. Most guests, even in town guests stayed there so they did not have to worry about driving home. Just be sure that all guests are on your room block-even if they use a third party service like Hotels.com

The Tremont is an amazing place to get married! Thanks Ashley and Tremont staff!

I had visited 5 other Baltimore hotels as a possible venue for my wedding and wasn't completely sold on any of them. Interestingly enough, the day I had my first appointment with the Tremont, I had gone to two other hotel venue appointments earlier and both asked me where I was going next. As soon as I said "The Tremont" both hotel reps had this look on their face like they were thinking "I guess I won't see you again..." That was my first clue that I was going to see something special and I did. The Tremont Grand is a beautiful facility, completely separate from the hotel itself with several unique rooms. We knew as soon we walked into the Edinburgh Hall that was the place we wanted to get married in and the Corinthian Room was so elegant and gorgeous that there was no way we would not have our reception there.
The venue sales contact was a little unresponsive initially which is why I've taken off half a star. She did not readily answer emails consistently and sometimes I had to follow up with another email or phone call. This was a bit disconcerting because I was really trying to get the venue booked and the contract signed so was getting a little nervous. Aside from that, she was very flexible in setting up the contract, allowing us to plan for our wedding within our budget but letting us pay a little more to incorporate an entree and cocktail appetizer options from the higher priced packages to customize our menu. When I first saw the Tremont on their website, I really didn't think the venue would be within our budget but they really worked with us to make it possible.
When it was time to begin the full blown planning, we worked with Lauren Flaig as our coordinator who is amazing! She was so organized, responsive and detailed. Because I'm extremely anal and a bit of a control freak, I knew that I could only work with someone who could stay on top of things the same way and she fit the bill completely.
The day of the wedding went very smooth, the venue looked gorgeous and the service was excellent. We had a small hiccup during the reception when one of the bar tables crashed but I was having such a good time and the staff handled things so well, I barely noticed until someone told me about it later. We served the crab cake and filet duo entree which was delicious. Lauren was excellent about making sure that we accounted for any guests with food allergies and dietary restrictions, even going so far as letting me note which guests liked their steaks at different temperatures. The Tremont even baked our wedding cake as part of our dinner package. I wasn't expecting much as the cake wasn't a big priority for me but the it turned out really nice and tasted surprisingly good, with each layer a different flavor.
My guests all raved about the venue, the food and the night in general. If you are planning on holding your wedding in Baltimore, there is nowhere else you should have it except for the Tremont. You will not regret it!

Everyone at the Tremont Grand has the "Can DO" attitude and does so before you even ask. Example: 30 seconds before the bride walks down the aisle our assigned ANGEL runs to get her a kleenex as that was a NECESSITY at that point.

It is the details that make a wedding. Put your hands in the hands of the TREMONT staff, and your memories will be made.

    Everything we wanted and more!

Having our wedding reception at The Grand was the best decision we could have ever made. From our first visit, to the tasting, and on our wedding day it was always an experience filled with elegance, sophistication, class, and top of the line service. The Grand offers many packages that fit your budget and they are always willing to work with you. We were the type of couple that did not want to spend time and money on decorations and The Grand was perfect for us since it is SO BEAUTIFUL on its own already so you do not need to do much. We were so blessed and fortunate to have Nina as our Sales & Service Manager from The Grand. We had an unfortunate situation happen with our day-of coordinator and Nina quickly stepped in. No hesitation, no questions asked. She went above and beyond to help make our day a success and we will be forever grateful for Nina and the rest of the staff at The Grand.

This venue is sublime. The rooms all have amazing character, to the point where decorations are practically superfluous. I don't no where to start. Everything and I mean everything, down to the last little detail, was taken care of. The Staff was over the top helpful, which every bride deserves! If you want a ballroom wedding, look no further. The Corinthian Room is so beautiful, all by itself, there isn't much you need to do to make it any better. So impressive!! From the beginning, you get what you want, they will accommodate you anyway you want. The food was beyond outstanding and everyone constantly commented on it. I could not have picked a better place. During the dinner and thru out the night, Nina and Zina, were on top of everything and couldn't be any nicer. No worries because there wasn't any, due to the two of them. Tianne was so accommodating as the wedding representative, it was a pleasure to work with her. If you want a wedding with no worries, everything taken care of, and perfection, the Grand is the place!!

A beautiful location for a wedding reception! Eun Kim, Cathy Peck, Nina and everyone at the Grand Historic Venue were very attentive and we enjoyed working with them. Everyone is committed to provided top quality service. Eun was great with wedding planning and reminders, especially since we only had 6 months to organize details. She was also very helpful with recommendations to assist us in planning all the little details that help make the day so special (and the event successful). We enjoyed the tasting and the Grand Historic was very accommodating in working with our special requests regarding food and beverage selection. During the event, Eun coordinated the details and was fabulous in making adjustments to our schedule when necessary. The staff at the Grand Historic was prompt in answering questions and providing updates during the planning process. Salmon, steak, crabcakes, etc. were all very good! We wanted the party to be longer because everyone was having so much fun! Everyone was commmitted to helping us and ensuring the night ran smoothly (and it did) - helping us organize pre-wedding photographs, final details for heading to the church (including helping us with dress challenges), helping us with bustling (who is an expert on that), coordinating details with our other vendors (limo, etc), to ensuring the bride/groom were always having a great time! Review is for reception only: Ceremony held at local church. We had some challenges with the Embassy Suites for hotel rooms (not part of this review).

The Tremont was an absolute pleasure to work with. Amy was our coordinator and did an exceptional job. She was always patient, prompt with responses, and professional. Throughout the planning process, she let us see the space as many times as needed to determine logistics and worked with us to make sure everything fit within our budget. At first, the venue seems a little pricey, especially with their food & beverage minimums, but when you factor in all of the things that are included in the package, it's very reasonably priced for a city wedding. The day of the wedding, everything was set up exactly how I imagined, with little direction. Nina was my bridal attendant. She was entertaining and accommodating. The rest of the Tremont staff was fantastic and so personable. The entire night I had guests telling me that it was like they were at a celebrity wedding. If anything went wrong that day, I was not privy to it and I appreciated that very much. I didn't actually eat any dinner at the reception, but at the tasting, the food was all very good. I did hear from a few of my guests after the fact that their steaks were a little rare. The portions are plentiful. Compared to the venue, the hotel was just okay. When our families arrived to check in on Friday, we had to wait over a half hour for a valet to pick up our cars, and another hour for any bellhop to get our luggage. They also mixed up rooms and gave some guests keys to rooms that were already taken by other people. However, when the problems arose, they were quick to remedy. I stayed in the two bedroom suite, which had plenty of room for my bridal party to get ready.

I LOVED this venue. Once I visited, I tried looking at other venues to keep an open mind, but nothing compared. One of the best things is that they don't nickle and dime you at the Tremont. Other places may seem less expensive at face value, but you need to stop and look at how much is INCLUDED in the Tremont price. Their "basic" package is truly excellent, though pricey. The nice thing is you know your total going into it, instead of the budget magically inflating as you add things because their "standard" isn't something you would put out for a picnic let alone a wedding. So in that sense, the Tremont is truly a good bang for your buck.

Our coordinator, Lauren Flaig, was the only reason I decided to not be Type A for once and let someone take over for me. Everything went off without a hitch. I have heard nothing but rave reviews from my guests on everything from the decor to the location to the food!

    Other great things -
1)They are super flexible. I have a friend who only eats pasta with butter - done. Friends with allergies - done. Everyone got whatever meal they needed, no questions asked.
2)You don't need decorations! You can get by with VERY simple decor because the place is just that beautiful, which saves a ton of money
    3) It is attached to the hotel - your guests never have to leave the place once they get there, and the hotel rooms are fabulous.

We were thrilled with all that the Tremont did for us for our wedding. They provided us with a wedding coordinator, Lauren Flaig, who was an absolute God-send. We couldn't have done this without her. When there was a miscommunication about booking a suite for me and my bridesmaids the night before, she was able to secure the room we were hoping to book with only 2 days notice when the hotel was booked up with another conference at the same time. She went above and beyond our expectations and we were so fortunate to have been assigned to her!
The Tremont uses in-house catering which was wonderful. They worked with us to come up with a custom menu that we felt was different than the typical wedding food and suited our tastes and personalities as a couple. The tasting was phenomenal but unfortunately we didn't feel like the food at the actual wedding was as good as the tasting. The staff was incredibly accommodating to any of our needs and responded quickly. The staff took care of everything so we could just relax and we are so thankful. We are incredibly happy we chose the Tremont for our wedding!

Excellent experience from the initial meeting to see the facilities until the final ending of an incredible reception. On site wedding coordinator did a great job with everything and after meeting with her we decided not to hire an outside coordination which turned out to be a wise decision. Roman Strada room for cocktails is very elegant and ornate and required no additional flowers which was a savings to us. Food was excellent, service was great, very accommodating to dietary restrictions and creative to substitute gluten free choices that guests assumed were just a culinary twist to the ordinary. Corinthian Room for the dinner and dancing is equally as elegant and the service throughout the night was superb. Bride, groom and guests could not be happier that the Tremont Grand was selected for the venue.

Preparing for the wedding was stressful at times due to lack of responsiveness, front desk disorganization, and changing management with the rehearsal dinner restaurant within the Tremont. On the day of the wedding, however, everything was flawless. Lauren and her team attended to our every need and paid close attention to details so we had no need to worry.

From a catering perspective, we enjoyed the tasting experience and meeting the chef. The cocktail hour appetizers were perfect and we hear that the entrees were delicious...though it was a blur for my husband and I. Lauren made sure that we had entrees waiting in the hotel room for after the reception. Thank you Lauren!

Overall, we were over the moon with our Tremont experience. Our wedding planner, Brandon, rocked, from the time he was assigned as our planner to the day of execution. Even finding my husband green gum prior to the ceremony! Brandon was flexible and super responsive and checked in to make sure we were both feeling good about our experience. We got married in the Edinburgh Room - loved the warm atmosphere. Had our dinner in the Corinthian Room - nothing but elegance. Our guests were impressed with the rooms (all suites), professional and friendly hotel service and the food, which was excellent. We were a little worried this fall about follow-through -- signed our contract in September for a March wedding, then got a little silent treatment from the catering office despite 4 emails over a 6 week period to try to confirm a tasting date. However, our tasting date was set for November and our planner Brandon took over, we had super smooth sailing. And the site is beautiful, so our pictures turned out terrific! Would recommend the Tremont to any couple who want a professional, turn-key, worry-free, elegant glorious day!

The venue was a perfect setting for our wedding. We loved the Roman Strada. The value for a complete wedding program with a small amount of guest was great. The tasting was a lot of fun. All of our guests were impressed with the venue and our photographs are great. The staff were very accomodating and allowed us to extend the cocktail hour and offer more menu choices for the same pric. The Grand is cnnected to the Tremont Plaza so our guests stayed there and we spent our first night there as a married couple as part of the package. It was very romantic and low stress.

Wow! The Tremont Grand made our dreams come true. The day was absolutely perfect. My guests described it as a fairy tale wedding. Our wedding coordinator, Brandon Cassey, was fabulous. He made the day run so smoothly.
The Tremont Grand is like a museum and each room seems better than another. By the time the guests get to the reception they are in awe of the beauty. The staff was so professional and courteous. There was always someone there to take care of our needs. It was great for our guest to have the hotel connected so that no one had to drive any where and the hotel has stunning views of the city. I highly recommend the Tremont Grand, it is truly spectacular.

We had a wonderful experience with the Tremont. Brandon was a great planner to work with. He was prompt, patient and very attentive to our requests. The event itself was more beautiful than I expected and the staff were wonderful. Thanks to the Tremont for helping us have an amazing event!

The Tremont Grand is an absolutely gorgeous venue! We did our ceremony, cocktail hour and reception there (each in a different room) and everyone said it was beautiful. Our planner, Brandon, was a life-saver on wedding day, letting us know where we had to be and when. He was completely organized and did a great job of relaxing everyone in the bridal party. Anything we needed, he immediately handled in the most professional way. The cost of the entire evening was a bit more than I originally wanted to pay, but Brandon customized a package for us so that the price was not as high as it could have been. We made some last minute changes to our menu, and they were totally accommodating.

My only complaint about the Tremont involved the staff of the Tremont Plaza (the attached hotel where my bridal party and guests stayed). My interactions with the front desk were less than satisfactory. I found the staff varying from inept to merely adequate to totally incompetent. One woman was downright rude to me and my maid of honor. However, where the front desk staff were lacking, the bell hop and valet staff were absolutely the BEST! They got to know my bridal party by name and were constantly pleasant and upbeat! So it was a mixed bag at the Tremont Plaza.

The Tremont is a stunningly gorgeous location! Great for pictures. It is a little pricey, but they were very flexible with their price packaging. The service was good, the food was delicious, and the decor is lovely. Our coordinator, Brandon Casey, was super! He made sure everything ran smoothly, even when we had some last-minute changes. I would highly recommend the Tremont and I would ask for Brandon!

A fantastic place in get married in Baltimore. Lauren was such a help! We hed the reception here and then a brunch the next day. All the guests stayed at the Tremont. It worked out so wonderfully. Everyone was very responsive to our needs and concerns. Even the housekeeping was great! I'd highly recommend this venue.

    The Grand was great!

The Grand event staff were so great! The venue is clearly beautiful but without kind, hardworking people, you never know what kind of night you'll have. Our wedding was everything we dreamed of and a big part of that is because of the staff specifically at The Grand. Embassy Suites (the adjoining hotel).. now that is another story. I would definitely recommend The Grand for a venue but would encourage to look elsewhere for hotel arrangements.

This place is one of the last architectural treasures of Baltimore. It takes you back to a different time of decadence, class and wealth. This place made everyone whom attended the wedding feel "rich" from what I was told. I wish I could attach the pictures of our wedding for to see how beautiful and elegant it looked.
Especially with the lighting that we chose for the reception it gave a warm intimate feeling to the large Corinthian room. The staff was very attentive and helpful. It was a bit bumpy in the early planning phases. However, they became very personal and attentive to our needs once we touched based with the wedding coordinator the venue offered. Tamera Taylor has done a marvelous job in reassuring us that everything will be perfect and she did everything in her power to make it happen.
What I enjoyed is that I didn't have to chase her down and she even made suggestions about things that didn't think of, and anticipated our needs. Coming from a previous hotel sales management background, I was impressed with her and wish I had her on my team back when I was in the business. She showed passion and concern for us and was really flexible to work with us. The banquet captain Zena was great, and the audio-visual gentleman Richard went out of his way to try different lighting concepts to help us to capture the right lighting they we wanted for our wedding and explained how it complimented the room. We booked at a good time and planned very far in advance which I felt helped with our price and the what we were able to do. We had the Edinburgh Ballroom for the ceremony, The Roman Strada for the cocktail hour and the Corinthian for the Reception. We booked our wedding for Sunday right before Labor Day 2014;and we booked in October of 2013. This venue is expensive but it would be best to book in advance to find the best prices. I'm very satisfied!

Overall good experience. The wedding coordinators are awesome, especially Amy. Food was not quite as good as at tasting. Somewhat overdone. But otherwise a great reception experience.
Attached hotel, Embassy Suites had some problems. Parking, arrival and unloading area is a mess. Many gift bags not distributed. Reservations for wedding block difficult and confusing. I think it will get better with time. This was a new Embassy Suites take over right before our wedding.

The Tremont was amazing and I am so very glad that we decided to go with them. The ceremony was in the Edinburgh room, cocktail hour in Oriental Room and reception in Mirror Room. The whole day was perfect, service was amazing and everything went smoothly. There were a couple hiccups (as can happen anywhere), but they were dealt with professionally. I had allergies and my nose was running that morning and the bridal attendant went to CVS and got me allergy medicine!! How amazing is that? So very thoughtful and attentive.
I felt we got quality food and the venue was amazing for what we paid.

I absolutely fell in love with this venue from the moment I walked in. Every room is just beautiful and makes for a wonderful background for photos. Brandon was our planner and he did a fabulous job. He took care of the little details that I did not even think about. All my guests loved the food. I definitely recommend the Tremont.
