Daniel J and his team did a great job DJing our wedding. The professionalism and experience were evident throughout. Our curated playlist was played and well put together, even with a few surprises! Daniel and his team cared about the subtle details and showed that he wanted to make our experience unique. The only downside was the sound ordinance our venue may have enforced. At some points, we felt like the music was played at lower levels, making it difficult to really get into it, but it was minor and our experience was overall pretty great! -

Daniel Jamieson DJ'd our wedding and did a great job! He arrived early to set up at our ceremony location (Westin at Canal Place) and was quick and efficient to transfer his equipment to our reception location (Creole Queen Paddlewheeler). He called a few days before the wedding to go over our schedule and requested songs for certain events during the ceremony and rehearsal. He did a great job overall, and I would recommend him. -

Daniel did a great job DJing our wedding. He was easy to work with and answered all of our questions about the logistics of the ceremony and reception. On the day of the wedding, he arrived early to set everything up and did a fantastic job throughout the evening. We would hire him again. -

The Good Time DJs were able to work with me even though I had forgotten to send in a worksheet until the day of. They arrived early and kept everything going smoothly, despite some oversights on my and my husband's parts as far as planning went. My only slight complaint is that I wish they had played a few more songs from our playlist during the reception. Their's was very good, and they were cut off early, so I mostly understand. -

The Good Time DJs were absolutely wonderful! They took care of moving everything along at my reception and made sure to check with me before making announcements. They were very professional and very polite in every communication I had with them. -

Should be called Worst Time DJs. We did not get what we paid for and we would not recommend them to our worst enemy. After we we did everything Daniel asked us for per his contract. I even personally had a call with Daniel Jamieson before hire. I asked specifically about his capability that he could play our wedding playlist. My husband and I spent over a year to make for our once in a lifetime event, our wedding. Daniel assured me he could play our wedding play list. "That that is what they are known for." They played 5 out of our 60 songs. Even after my husband spent 2 hours manually inputting our wedding play list to Daniel's preferred system. As per our emails he could not simply go into our Spotify wedding play list. So we filled out all his paper work a month before, the Wedding work sheet, music set up and schedule of events. Even our wedding guest asked them to play our songs. They did not. I also have videos of my niece dancing to a song that was not on our list. Nor was it appropriate for our wedding that children were attending. Daniel also failed to mention he would not be onsite even though our contract clearly stated he is "Good Time DJs". We had two young men who showed up day of. Per our contract we were to be provided a "Master of Ceremonies" this was not true. We were running to find one another for the Cake cutting and into our first dance. We were rushed into everything and our guest where not notified. Even after filling out Daniel's request for "Schedule of Events". There was no involvement from either of these young men as "Master of Ceremonies." Because of all these huge breach of contract. We reached out to Daniel less than 48 hours later with our concerns in full detail. Requesting for compensation for the missing hours in entertainment per our contract. To add insult to injury Daniel offered us 10% off on a future event. As if we would have another wedding.
After speaking with Daniel and explaining again in detail over the phone, his final offer was to give us the $100 tip we paid to his staff back. Which was not his money to give. Long story short...your money is better off with a more professional DJ.

We are sorry you didn't have the experience that you desired. However, you should not put the full blame on us. We played in accordance with our policies and you were well aware of the idea for the playlist. You didn't communicate with the performers that were playing your event and you NEVER specified that ONLY your playlist could be played. If you wanted to do that, you should have plugged your phone into a blue tooth speaker. The whole reason for hiring a professional DJ is to have them make the adjustments that are necessary to ensure that not only you, but your guests have a good time.
As far as the Master of Ceremonies complaint goes, we will assume that you don't understand the definition of that role. The MOC is not a day of planner or liaison for you. They are not responsible for keeping your event on schedule. They simply make any and all announcements necessary for the specific event. If they so choose to go the extra mile and attempt to fill into the role of liaison, then you got MORE than what you should have received.
As far as the resolution of your complaint goes, we always try to suggest a discount on a future show with a different performer. It is not meant to be an insult to you or anyone. It is simply a starting point in the negotiation of what is fair to all parties involved. You were at the other end of the spectrum expecting a full refund, which by not only my opinion but the opinions of the performers as well, was not warranted. Both parties were at fault in this encounter, but services were rendered for the full contracted amount of time.
The suggestion of giving back the gratuity was your suggestion.
I merely asked why you would give a gratuity to the performer if they did such a terrible job. As I said during all of our correspondence on this matter, both parties could have done things better. If you wanted them to play ONLY your list, you could have told them so at any time during the reception and they would have been happy to accommodate that request. Instead, you chose to not to do anything and expect it to magically change. We are entertainment professionals, not psychics. If you had an issue, you should have addressed it during the event when it could be remedied, not after the event when nothing can be done.
Once again, we are sorry that you weren't pleased with the performance, but you won't allow us to make it up to you and you have now received half of the original contract cost back in attempts to resolve this situation. That puts us at the halfway point that we initially attempted to reach with you, but that you refused to negotiate towards. We recommend that you be proactive in communicating with performers at any future events that you may have so that this doesn't happen to you again.
