We had an absolutely amazing and seamless wedding at this venue. Not only is the venue centrally located for ease of deliveries (e.g. Cake, floral, photobooth, etc.) but the food from the venue is top notch. Our guests raved about the food and cocktails!
Shannon and her team did an outstanding job end-to-end. On the day of it was like a well-oiled machine. The team was able to bring our vision to life and helped keep us focused and on track during the event. Our vendors also raved about how well Shannon's team took care of them.
We recommend this venue and team for your special day! We will definitely host other big events here.

We were thrilled with our USNA Graduation Party at The Golf Club at South River. & think this would be a pefect venue for a wedding. The food, drinks, and ambiance at our event were beyond our expectations. I was extremely grateful to Kerry Petz for her personal expertise on every detail. She guided me through best menu options, drink recommendations, party flow set-up ideas, music recommendations and everything in between. The event staff made the night extremely personal and stress free from set-up to tear down. Gina ran the show, ensuring food and drinks were flowing. She treated us all like family & everyone had a wonderful time. A perfect night with the beautiful club setting in the background from dusk into the evening. Loved watching the night unfold from starting the celebration with pics on the bridge & the beautiful fountain in the background to the pavilion lighting up as the sun set. Our out of town guests could not stop talking about how beautiful the setting was. Hosting at The Golf Club at South River was more personal and frankly more delicious than we would have experienced hosting at a local restaurant, hotel or entertainment venue. Amenities like ample parking, clean facility grounds/restrooms and personal on site staff assistance were things I hadn't considered in planning but were such an added plus. Thank you for making this special achievement such a memorable night for us all! -

My husband and I got married at The Golf Club at South River in December 2022 and couldn't have chosen a more perfect venue/team to work with. We fell in love with this beautiful venue and all it has to offer from the first time we went to visit. They offer an amazing wedding package, and was the only place we found that included everything we needed for a VERY affordable price. Everything from the wedding space, food, drinks, to on-site coordination.
We booked this venue in September of 2021 and in between our wedding planning we lost our original wedding coordinator as she left the golf club. We were then introduced to the new on-site coordinator, Kerry, and her partner Gina who made the whole transition seamless and re-assured us that they had everything under control (which they totally did)! Over the last few months of wedding planning, the most crucial time, the communication between Kerry, Gina and I was top tier as they were there to answer the million questions I had and were very open to all of our requests and suggestions.They are the dream team!
Fast forward to our wedding day, which was an absolute dream. The team at the golf club made our vision come to life and we couldnt be more happy with how the day turned out. They did a phenomenal job setting up, helping our vendors as they arrived, keeping everything and everyone on track, the food and service were amazing and we received MANY compliments that it was "the best wedding food we've ever had". If anything went wrong, we didn't know about it and as the bride and groom, we couldn't have asked for more. Their team truly allowed us to enjoy our day and made it as stress free as possible.
Overall, we are more than pleased with our decision to have our wedding at this beautiful venue and couldn't thank Kerry and her team more for everything they did to make our wedding the most memorable day ever!

Our wedding day was incredible and went without a hitch thanks to the great staff at Golf Club at South River. You typically expect at least one thing to go wrong, but that wasn't the case here. Our event coordinator Shannon Wright was amazing with helping plan/organize our wedding day, and was there the entire time to orchestrate everything to plan. Recommend! -

I apologize for the lateness of this review, but I'm sure all can understand that current events have thrown everyone's world topsy-turvy.
Firstly, my husband and I cannot thank the Golf Club at South River enough for all of their hard work and professionalism that went into bringing our day into fruition. To the event team (Gina & Kim), you girls made sure you were there every step of the way to answer questions, provide what we needed, and made sure everything ran smoothly. To the catering/bistro/bar team, thank you for creating a delicious menu that some of our guests still talk about 7 months later.
If you're looking for a venue don't look any further, Golf Club at South River has you covered from first meeting to last dance. -

Awsome staff and great facility!
We just had our reception at the golf club with a cocktail hour outside in the pavilion and then dinner and dancing inside. We rented out all 3 spaces, paid for an extra hour of both drinks and reception. We used the bistro for 2 additional tables and our photobooth and then 8 tables in the great room with enough space for a dancefloor! Our DJ set up at the top of their grand staircase to allow for more room. They easily worked with all our other vendors and we had about 3 meetings total with them that were helpful with the entire planning process. They had great food and the staff was great! Beautiful location and the golf course and bridges were great for photos! They did a great job with setup and it all looked perfect! -

Beautiful Venue with Amazing Coordinators
I can't say enough about our experience with the Golf Course at South River. Not only is it an absolutely beautiful venue, Kim and Gina were absolutely amazing to work with, putting in so much attention to detail. I honestly don't know how they get everything so perfect. We had our ceremony indoors, cocktail outside while they swapped the room, and reception indoors. The room they use for the bridal suite is the perfect place to take pictures getting dressed with "the girls/moms". The pricing is completely reasonable (we did the last week of off-season), the food is delicious with so many options to choose from. Another thing I loved is since we missed most of cocktail hour for pictures, a server kept bringing us hors d'oeuvres and drinks of choice while we took the pics so we were able to experience it. They also left some upstairs in the bridal suite and at our sweetheart table. I couldn't have asked for a better day/venue and I would recommend this venue 10/10. -

Courtney Sent on 08/16/2018I can't say enough about Angelique and the team at the Golf Club at South River! Selecting the golf club as our wedding venue was hands down the best choice we made in the entire wedding selection process. My husband and I set foot at the club and knew at that moment that the search for our perfect venue was over. Not only is it a gorgeous setting but the professionalism, wisdom and overall quality of the entire team can't be compared.
Angelique was always accommodating to the myriad of questions I asked and offered insights both from her own experience and what she'd seen other brides do at the venue. This included a last minute inquiry around rain contingency plans since there were thunderstorms in the forecast (we lucked out and got no rain!!!) and we planned to hold our ceremony outside under the covered pavilion. Angelique provided numerous options and even proactively reached out to calm my concerns when the weather forecast cleared up! Our day was absolutely perfect! Not only was Angelique great to work with, the team that handled service for the wedding was top notch. They were friendly, incredibly helpful and and were such a great addition to the day. It is amazing to see all of the planning and hard work you put in materialize the team saw the vision and under Angelique's direction it was executed flawlessly!

User3367276 Sent on 12/29/2017Our wedding was wonderful! Excellent day of support & everything was seamless. Angelique was great to work with throughout the planning process. The venue is gorgeous. The great hall is natural, relaxed, and inviting, yet also upscale and elegant. The grounds are well maintained, plus you're close enough to wooded areas to get that forest feel.
Angelique, Dee, and colleagues were so great on the day of that some of my guests even complimented the service too (i.e., "they were super helpful and attentive, yet not pushy or in the way of the party") The food exceeded expectations, as well (we had not done a tasting going in, and it was restaurant quality, not 'catered venue' quality, if that makes sense.) With all that in mind, this was also a great value and they are very transparent about costs, and give honest recommendations (not trying to upsell you unnecessarily) which put us at ease. Highly recommend looking into this venue for your wedding! -

We chose The Golf Club at South River for our wedding venue because it felt like we were at a winter-lodge getaway. It is conveniently located and easy for guests to find, ample parking, and amazing staff that helped us prepare for our wedding before, and helped us execute the day of! A special thank you to Kim and her assistant Gina, who helped us switch our ceremony from an outdoor to indoor days before our wedding due to weather. The staff who worked the event were also exceptional. They were polite and organized. For this venue, the catering is included and all appetizers and entrees were delicious and came out of the kitchen hot! We couldn't be happier with our wedding day memories! -

The views were beautiful and the staff was very friendly and accommodating! I wish we could have had even longer! I would definitely recommend this to anyone who is looking for a rustic, quaint, beautiful location! -
