This venue was a dream! It was so beautiful, and made planning so easy - no need to add tons of decor when the location has so much to offer. Halea and team were amazing to work with, very responsive and informative on every step of the way. Finally, I was surprised how many guests came up to me afterward and told me how delicious the food was - some of their top wedding meal experiences. Venue of our dreams!
Fossil creek was amazing. I could not recommend a better place to have your dream wedding. Their staff is professional and so communicative! The service we received was fabulous. The Golf Club at Fossil Creek was a PERFECT venue for us. I wanted a space that was very classy, but had a touch of enchanted fairytale. We did a black and white color theme and it was so beautiful. The ceremony space is under many shaded trees with so much greenery for photos. Golfers stopped at the 17th hole during the ceremony, so it was quiet and everyone was very respectful of our event. Cocktail hour on the patio was a huge hit for our guests. The weather was perfect in October. Halea and her staff were so accommodating and she always made herself available for emails, calls, and walk-throughs. She was so quick at responding. Fossil Creek had so much to offer in their package, while also letting us make it our own. We brought in some of our own vendors for florists, donut wall, DJ, and photo/video. Halea helped us with planning a smooth timeline and brought all of my visions to reality. On the wedding day, everyone at the venue was timely, organized, and were so helpful with a kind spirit. We truly had no issues. My husband and I were so pleased with our entire experience from touring, booking, food/drink tastings, and the over all wedding day. Fossil Creek is an affordable venue that gives a luxury experience and we had a perfect day! Would recommend to family and friends for a wedding or special event. I cannot recommend Halea or Fossil Creek enough. Not to mention, their golf course that the boys loved a round on Thursday before the wedding. Halea was very punctual and professional when outlining the details of our wedding. She was also flexible when meeting with us to do our tastings and walkthroughs. Whenever we wanted to update plans or headcount, she was able to do so in a timely manner and send us updated pricing. The day of the Drysdales
Halea was an absolute angel on our wedding day. She was so attentive to my bridesmaids and I throughout the day. By the time the ceremony was starting, she lined everyone up and sent them on their way. The venue was absolutely stunning!! We didn’t need very much decorations because the venue stands beautifully on its own. The banquet staff was on point with cleanliness, and food service. Effortlessly Perfect Wedding Experience!
Halea and the Fossil Creek team made our wedding planning process a breeze! The value for this venue can't be beat -- to have ceremony/reception/catering/bar covered all in one contract was so convenient. The food and drinks were phenomenal, and they were very accommodating to our special requests, creating custom signature cocktails and putting together a phenomenal brownie sundae bar for dessert! The bridal suite was very comfortable for getting ready, and the facilities/grounds are absolutely beautiful. Everything on the day of the wedding went off without a hitch, and we had the absolute BEST time! We are so glad we chose this venue for our big day. The outside ceremony was beautiful, and shaded. For our reception in the ballroom we had about 125 people and it fit us perfectly including the dancefloor & a photo booth. We enjoyed the outside patio for happy hour, and liked that they also had the bar/restaurant area inside for people to sit at too. From start to finish the staff here was very professional and easy to work with. Halea was a HUGE help with everything from wedding planning to the day of. She continued to check in on my husband and I throughout the whole evening which we really appreciated, and even helped fluff my dress before I walked down the aisle!! Her and her staff were kind to our family and friends and did an amazing job helping set up as well. We are thankful this venue had a lot included food (which was delicious), bar, ceremony and reception space. It made planning a lot less stressful. Especially the fact that any questions/requests we did have, Halea was very quick to respond to. I would highly recommend! The Perfect Bridal Shower Spot!
This spot is an absolute gem. Not only is it gorgeous, inside and out, but the staff is amazing as well. The ambience is inviting and it makes for the perfect location to throw a party! I worked with Halea throughout the entire process, and she made it so easy and fun. She was knowledgeable and helpful down to every detail. A Perfect Place to get Married
We are over the moon with how beautiful our wedding turned out. Halea and her team at fossil creek did an outstanding job at creating such a perfect, seamless and smooth day for us. Halea was always professional and extremely responsive throughout the past year with all of the million questions I had that not only pertaining to venue things but general wedding advice overall. Her and her team were always so kind and patient with us and we couldn’t be more happy that we chose such a perfect place. Our guests thoroughly enjoyed the plated dinner we chose, the food came out hot and everyone got served at the same time. Not only is the staff incredibly kind, but the venue itself is perfect for an Earthy, elegant wedding. The outdoor ceremony area was perfect for pictures and even though it was 90 degrees the shade of the numerous trees kept everyone nice and cool. (Mother of the Bride) We attended an open house for this venue in 2022. We were blown away by the venue and its grounds. My daughter booked her wedding for March 23, 2024. She had ample time to plan her day with the amazing venue coordinator, Halea. Halea was so helpful throughout the planning process answering multiple questions and providing her expertise to all decisions made. The outdoor patio sold my daughter and the weather for her day did not disappoint. The patio bar and sound system made for a perfect cocktail hour. My daughter and her husband did their first dance on the cart path with the guests with cocktails looking down below. The appetizers and grazing board were outstanding, and the guests were not left hungry. The main course of filet and chicken with garlic mash potatoes was excellent. Everyone raved about the food. The reception followed with enough room to dance for the 135 guests. The bar area hosted about 20 or more watching March Madness and shooting pool while others mingled outside to enjoy the weather sitting on Adirondack chairs around the firepit. Having more than one room for people to spread out and enjoy their time was a huge selling point that worked out perfectly. The sparkler exit was the perfect sendoff.
I highly recommend Fossil Creek and working with Halea was a pleasure. She and her staff did not disappoint!!! At the end of the evening, she was busy packing up linens to be shipped back the next day and not one was missing. Our wedding coordinator, Joined by Love, was top notch. Barbara and her team were fantastic, and my daughter's day was a dream because of her efforts coupled with Halea and the beauty of Fossil Creek.The Golf Club at Fossil Creek's reply:

My husband and I loved our experience at The Golf Club at Fossil Creek. From touring, to wedding planning, to doing a tasting with them, to rehearsal, and wedding day their team was very communicative, accommodating, and comforting.
Halea Humke (Private Event Services Manager) was especially personable, professional, and did everything possible to ensure we had the best day.
Their chef and team prepared a wonderful meal for our guests and even made individual meals for guests that had specific dietary restrictions. I've been a bridesmaid in eight weddings and attended many others, and the food was the best I've had at any of them. We chose the venue's holiday menu with the cheese balls and bacon wrapped jalapenos for the appetizers, and a mashed potato bar, Caesar salad, herb-encrusted chicken, ham, glazed carrots, and green beans for the primary entrée. It took off so much stress to have a venue where the food and alcohol goes through them. The staff even surprised my bridesmaids and me with a gorgeous charcuterie board filled with cheeses, meats, crackers, and champagne.
The bartenders worked quickly, were lively and fun, and were comfortable making any drinks guests wished for.
The venue in one word: Gorgeous! We had our ceremony in their outside space which is covered by beautiful huge trees onlooking their golf course. The venue can hold 180 guests max. We ended up having around 160 guests and inside at the reception it still felt spacious but gave a warm cozy feel. We loved that there is a separate bar room and a huge deck with many places for guests to have private moments in while still being close to the primary dining/dance area. We also appreciated that because the parking lot is a public space guests could leave their vehicles there if they needed to catch an Uber or Lyft home. We wanted guests to have a blast during the reception but safety was a priority for us, and a lot of other venues we visited are private property so they will tow vehicles if left overnight.
The location: the venue is easily accessible, off a primary highway and surrounded by hotels for guests to stay at. There is even a hotel within walking distance to the venue if guests need. There are many restaurants and entertainment facilities in the area if people have guests coming in from out of town.The Golf Club at Fossil Creek's reply:

The Best Kept Secret in Fort Worth
They were AWESOME! The food was delicious, and the drinks were great. I was a very indecisive bride; Halea and her team were so gracious with me and helped me through this process. I recommend this venue to anyone, especially if you want the venue to manage the catering and bar. I Highly recommend Fossil Creek golf Club with a 10 +.. Halea and Staff was very personal to everything I needed and more. Food, drinks, Staff was Perfect. We held our son & daughter-in-law's rehearsal dinner at Fossil Creek... it was nothing short of spectacular!
From the planning process to the actual evening, the staff made things extremely easy.
For the majority of the process, we worked with the Event Coordinator Halea. She was fantastic... her attention to detail was tremendous! She was extremely helpful in the customization of the buffet menu to accommodate requests from the bride and groom AND dietary restrictions. Halea also helped with ideas for setting up the room and really made our visions come to fruition.
The staff was incredibly attentive the evening of the event, down to adjusting the AC for us as the evening progressed!
The food was amazing... so many compliments from attendees. I requested that we do a dessert buffet rather than just one dessert selection and so glad I went that route. Everyone was passing desserts around to try and that just added to the fun!
A/V was so easy because it was all there! And far less expensive than I'd thought it would be (and far less than outside vendors I'd gotten quotes from).
All in all Fossil Creek hit it out of the park. Tremendous value, beautiful setting, attentive staff. HIGHLY recommend!!!The Golf Club at Fossil Creek's reply:

If you are looking for a wedding venue that provides a 10/10 service book today! Halea and her team were quick to respond, friendly, passionate, and went above and beyond from the day we booked until our special day. We booked the venue exactly one year from our wedding day and the communication was outstanding from day one. Halea was always willing to meet us on an evening in person if we requested and made things very easy for us. The food and beverage were 10/10. We had the honor to meet the chef, his team and the complete bar staff. They were fantastic and really made our day and guests feel very important and welcomed.
The venue was very clean, organized and professional. We love the new layout as well as the ceremony and outside seating. Our guests loved the face that they could grab a cocktail and watch the wedding party take pictures before the party started. Again, Halea, the grounds crew, the bar staff, and kitchen crew were unbelievable and made everything worth it.
We visited 7 venues in the Fort Worth area and what The Golf Club at Fossil Creek had to offer was a no brainer. So happy we chose this location.

We couldn't imagine a better venue than The Golf Club at Fossil Creek! The great views, service, and price were all the things that made it a perfect choice for us. The ceremony site was so beautiful and well maintained. The patio was the perfect atmosphere for cocktail hour. We loved having the option for an outside bar too and the inside bar was always filled with our happy guests. Halea, the event services manager, was incredibly helpful and accommodating to our requests and she answered all my questions so promptly and thoroughly. I always felt taken care of with her. We also were extremely appreciative of them allowing us to bring in our own cultural food. From start to finish, planning the wedding with them was great and I would recommend the venue and team to anyone! We chose Fossil Creek because of the beauty of the indoor/outdoor venue. We also liked the idea of a golf course because they could provide us with the wedding/rehearsal location, food, beverages, tables, chairs, etc. Halea was our primary contact for everything and she was "Wonderful" in every sense of the word! Very professional, very gracious, always available and made sure everything worked out as planned. Our big surprise was the quality of the food! We had a tasting prior to the wedding and it was excellent! We thought it may have been because we had so few people doing the tasting. I have nothing but amazing things to say about the staff here, the facility, the service, and the food! We had our wedding on 10/29/22 and it happened without a single issue! Linley and Halea helped with day of details to ensure I didn’t have to do a single thing as a bride. everyone who attended our wedding told me it was one of the most beautiful ones they’ve ever been to, the venue was in amazing condition, the wait staff was the best they’ve encountered and the drinks and food were amazing. We hosted our rehearsal and dinner the night before as well, it was equally fantastic. The chef here as well is amazing, their food options are ones you’d pay far more for elsewhere. Compliments to the chef! If you’re going to get married, this is the place in DFW to do it. TLDR;
- My highest recommendations. 10/10
- Food was amazing. All my guests including some which were chefs have been raving about how good the food was.
- Staff. Super Responsive. Extremely accommodating with scheduling. Will help you plan the wedding of your dreams how you want it.
- Venue. Absolutely stunning. beautiful reception hall. beautiful outdoor ceremony area.
- Pricing. Extremely reasonable.
Full Review
You won't regret booking your wedding here. Fossil Creek Country Club offers something those traditional wedding venues can't. The only vendor you are required to use is their food and alcohol but do not worry, everything tasted absolutely amazing and the alcohol is reasonably priced. There aren't any hidden fees or other fees you might see from a traditional wedding venue.
Starting from the beginning all their coordinators have gone above and beyond to help us plan our wedding. They are extremely responsive and so accommodating. They were always so courteous and answered every single one of my questions no matter how silly they were.
The venue itself is gorgeous with a beautiful outdoor ceremony and indoor reception hall. Even in the Summer heat, the outdoor venue was shaded and so our guests weren't boiling.
Some notes: I had about 140 guests and to make sure I had a big dance floor, the guests were squished pretty close together so keep that in mind if your guest count is anything over that. There also isn't an area for groom and groomsmen to get ready so they either have to get ready at home or use the bridal suite or bathroom.The Golf Club at Fossil Creek's reply:

Linley was so helpful and such a great coordinator. If she didn't know the answer to the questions we had she would find out and get back with us in no time. There are not enough words to express how special this venue was and how precious we were treated. We received a very VIP like experience from the very beginning when we went in for the food tasting. It was my birthday and the coordinator went out of her way to ensure we had champagne to celebrate during the tasting. The tasting wasn’t a couple bites, this was a full blown 4 course meal that 4 of us experienced. That was the start of a of our amazing experience and that is exactly how the rest of the experience went. (From start to the very last minute). Linley, the venue coordinator worked with us on every single detail of planning the event. She helped with even the most minute (my-noot) of details for our wedding day. The staff completed the full set up for our tables exactly as we asked. It poured the day of our wedding but they immediately made arrangements to ensure an indoor ceremony could happen. The reception was perfection and we received so many compliments from our guests on the food (like many many). When I tell you that the food served, was the best I’ve ever had at any event I am not exaggerating. Their chef and staff did an absolutely wonderful job with the menu. If I had to do it all over again, I would pick this venue over and over. From the cooking staff to the bar staff, down to the cleaning crew, all of our guests were raving on how well it was all put together. We could not have done it without Linley, her sweet manager and all the incredible staff! Not to mention it was one of the most affordable options we could find in the DFW area for what we wanted. Julie and her team did an excellent job for us when our daughter got married in October. They could not have done a better job from planning to the perfect day. We absolutely recommend this venue and this team. They are reasonably priced and very accommodating. The grounds and indoor space are beautiful. The food was excellent and beautifully presented. Bar staff could not have been better. -

My wedding turned out beautiful and everyone had a great time. Julie the event coordinator is so wonderful to work with. She worked with us when we had to change our wedding date , getting everything ready for our big day and then on the day dealing with any last minute items I asked for. The staff did a perfect job in setting everything up and helping during the wedding and reception. Our guests raved about everything and how perfect it was. The venue is perfect!!!! -

So happy we chose The Golf Club Fossil Creek as our wedding venue. From day one Julie was easy to work with, always answered my questions (even when I prob asked her 20 times already) and always very helpful. This venue is the perfect size for us and absolutley stunning. I fell in love instantly when we saw it because of how green and beautiful everything was. The food was AMAZING, we kept getting compliments all night and still tot his day. We originally planned for an outdoor wedding, but unfortunately due to weather had to move it inside which Julie and the staff made it very east todo and a quick turn around into a reception space. Everything on the wedding day went smoothly and perfect. It also made for beautiful wedding photos and i can't wait to get the rest of them back! Highly recommend! -

Great venue with great price
Our family fell in love with this place the moment we walked in: high ceiling with modern chandelier and rustic styles. and spacious backyard area (it's worth noting that during sunset and evening, the lighting in the backyard was amazing). Our guests also loved this venue: from the location, service, and food. We were also very happy to work with Halea, the event manager, who was so helpful and professional and trying her best to accommodate our requests. My husband and I found this venue through Zola and instantly feel in love with the ballroom, ivy wall and gorgeous trees. It captured such a beautiful memory of light and soft shade. We toured around decided to pursue securing it. The package description was very comprehensive and gave a lot of options for you to select with food, bar, and help with placements of seats. We connected with Halea their on site coordinator and began to plan. It was very easy to change options and add options on whenever we needed to. They helped us with the seating arrangements, and personalized bar drinks. The day of we received a beautiful carved charcuterie board. The staff were very professional and kind. They worked very flexibly with all of our vendors. The price point was a little more than we expected and there were some more fees that we didn't always agree with but we overall saved a lot of money in a very expensive wedding industry today in 2024. We had the best day and Halea helped us so much in all our prep and day of. She was so kind and sweet and always answered our questions! It is a beautiful venue and we had it on a Sunday and there was no holiday weekend fees!!!The Golf Club at Fossil Creek's reply:

Beautiful Venue with Friendly Staff
Pros:
1. All that's included -
Picking this venue for my wedding was by far one of smartest decisions I made for my wedding. It made planning way easier. The venue package provides outdoor ceremony, indoor reception, bridal suite, bar area, tables, table clothes, chairs, hordourves, dinner, drinks, silverware, napkins, center pieces, bartenders and staff, and more. Basically the only thing I had to do was get a photographer, a DJ, a cake, and decorations. Everything else the venue did or my bridal party did ourselves
2. How beautiful the venue is -
The venue I saw at the time I signed my contract is very different (in the best way) from the venue I had my wedding at. The renovations they had done are phenomenal. It's has such a modern but rustic look now. The outdoor ceremony was gorgeous and just felt so alive with the butterflies and birds delicately flying around under the trees. The reception was classy and beautiful with the indoor chandeliers, wood floors, spacious ceilings, and huge windows. The patio areas looked so modern and pretty. I could continue ranting on how perfect I thought it looked. I can't speak much on pricing because what I paid for on my contract is less than what I imagine this venue is worth now. For that I'm extremely lucky because I know this venue is worth more than what I originally paid for.
3. The Food -
People literally told me they have never had food that good at any wedding ever. I'm so serious. They were surprised it was supplied by the venue and not a vendor or catering company I had chosen. Go with the Italian buffet. You will not regret it!
4. Freedom and Flexibility -
You get a lot of options with this venue. Some venues have restrictions on vendors, but this one does not. I was able to pick any DJ, any photographer, and baker I wanted. I had a lot of choice when it came to the floor layout, where I wanted my DJ and photo booth, where I wanted my decorations etc. It was so awesome to have a sparkler exit because some venues don't allow that. My husband and his groosmen were able to smoke cigars and some venues don't allow that either. I'm pretty sure there wasn't a single request I had that they said "no" to.
5. The little things -
The bridal suite is so cute. And when we got there, there was a cart with crackers and cheese and fruit and champagne. The venue surprised us with a small gift also (don't want to give away what the gift was lol). Service was very good and attentive. When it was time to eat dinner, the venue made plates for my husband and I and brought them to us. The venue cut our cake for us and stored the top layer for us. It was those small things through out the day that really made me say "wow"
I would definitely recommend this venue. I loved my wedding and had a great time here. The only reasons I didn't give it 5 stars are below ~
The cons:
- Over the course of 13 months between when I signed my contract and when I had my wedding, my point of contact at the venue changed 4 times. Everyone I worked with was nice and helpful, but it did make me feel less secure. Response time wasn't bad, so if I had a question, someone would answer it. Sometimes what I was originally told was different from what the new person said, but thankfully they always honored what was in my original contract (for example, having 5 hours instead of 4 hours in the bridal suite)
- Some friends of mine had venues that were more involved in the execution of the wedding day and that had a designated day of coordinator. This venue doesn't have that. There wasn't any events employee at our wedding rehearsal, so we figured out on our own which door the bridal party was going to walk out of, where everyone would stand, etc. You will have to do your rehearsal on your own, your timeline on your own, but the venue will go with what you decide, and if you have questions, someone will get back to you.
- the last con which is only kind of a con is that the golf course will be open the day of your wedding and random people will be walking on the trails around the ceremony area and can come into the venue. For me this didn't really bother me. It was actually kind of charming having total strangers in the gift shop area congratulating me (I decided to hide in the gift shop until it was time to walk down the aisle because none of my guests were over in that area). There were people walking around or in golf carts after the ceremony in the area my photographer wanted to take pictures in, but people were pretty respectful and gave us space for that.The Golf Club at Fossil Creek's reply:

Terry Sent on 06/04/2016The setting is absolutely beautiful. I believe most of the problems we incurred were due to the turnover of 2 wedding coordinators since we initially booked the venue. And the manager at the time was shady; we ordered a beverage/open bar package and we were stiffed! Also, the little details were lacking (dirty windows, creases in the tablecloths...)
