Wonderful Rustic Event Space

Glasgow farms:

My wife and I used this as our location for our wedding ceremony and reception. We love this venue, with its rustic charm, amenities and privacy. Our wedding ceremony took place in the woods behind the barn, and it was perfect for us. It is secluded, giving the event an even more private feel. We used the barn/patio as our reception location, and it is the perfect spot to celebrate (even while socially distancing). The barn's second story came in handy, as it provided a staging area for our guests to fill their plates with food. The main level was spacious, allowing us to fit as many people we would like. We highly recommend this venue to others!

Stunning Venue

The Glasgow Farm made our wedding day a dream come true. This venue is stunning, and the staff are just as amazing. They were friendly, cared to get to know us, answered all our questions, and made us feel at ease through the whole process. Highly recommend this venue to anyone looking to get married!

Incredible

Sharon was the BEST during the selection process of our venue. We knew immediately upon meeting her that this was the place we wanted to have our wedding. The price is outstanding but the people are what makes it, we cannot wait for October!

Glasgow Farm is a very special place. Sharon and Dale are some of the most kind and giving people - by the time our wedding rolled around they honestly felt like family. Not only is the property gorgeous, it offers so many possibilities in terms of ceremony and reception locations. A perfect venue for any couple looking to host an intimate wedding with a lot of freedom to make it their own!

Loved dealing with Sharon she made this whole process 100x easier! The barn was perfect, the yard was well kept. And to top things off... We were able to have our puppy there with us to join in our our special day!!!

The Glasgow Farms was the perfect venue for my husband and my wedding. It was so magical and beautiful! We loved working with Sharon and Dale from day one. They are such beautiful souls and so professional. The day of the wedding Sharon came in to check on me and my bridesmaids and was so kind. Sharon and Dale also helped our guests with parking for the reception. The kids at our reception loved looking at the farm animals and all of our guests appreciate the beautiful rustic, romantic barn. I would highly recommend Glasgow farms! Plus very affordable as far as wedding receptions go :)

The Glasgow Farm is the perfect wedding venue! It's so cozy, beautiful and has so much charm and character! Sharon is so sweet and is great to work with. This is the BEST venue in the DMV. I'm so happy we got married here- it was truly a dream!

Sharon and Dale were incredibly helpful, welcoming, and extraordinarily pleasant throughout our entire wedding-planning process. From day one Sharon and Dale opened up their barn, home, and schedules to my wife and me, allowing us to visit separately on multiple occasions to see their beautiful barn venue and farmhouse. At our reception itself the barn could not have been more perfect, warm, and welcoming for both our guests and us. Sharon and Dale were also able to help us avert crisis at our reception by letting us borrow a small part to make sure our beer tap worked! We absolutely could not recommend Glasgow Farm highly enough for the perfect reception, place for the bride and bridesmaids to stay the night before your wedding, and beautiful grounds to take pictures on. Sharon and Dale’s constant helpfulness and willingness to go above and beyond to make the day perfect made our experience at Glasgow Farm all the more memorable.

The beautiful barn and fields were perfect for our daughter's wedding. The antique bathtub used for drinks, the loft, the lights inside the barn with the rustic feel of the barn made a beautiful ambience for this summer's wedding. I would recommend this venue to anyone interested in an either outdoor or indoor venue!

My husband and I couldn't have asked for a better venue! The farm is beautiful, and the owners (Sharon and Dale Glasgow) are some of the nicest people we've met! They were so accommodating and very quick to answer any questions we had, leading up to the big day. Everything about our wedding was amazing! Our ceremony took place outside and the reception was in the barn. We 100% recommend the Glasgow Farm to couples looking for a rustic barn venue.

I cannot say enough about this venue. It is everything I wanted for my wedding. Sharon Glasgow is the warmest person you will ever meet! The entire staff was fabulous. I didn't have to worry about a thing. Very sweet and loving family.

My husband and I fell in love with this place the minute we got there. It was everything we had hoped for. The owners were so sweet and helpful, really easy going. We couldn't be happier with the way everything turned out, we're so glad we had the wedding here!

The Glasgows are some of the most beautiful souls you will ever meet! We love the Glasgows! They were incredibly responsive and helpful. And they prayed such beautiful blessings over us before the wedding. They are the best!

The day we were married was so magical all because of The Glasgow Farm. Everyone who came marveled at how beautiful the barn and property was. Most people said they had never seen anything like it and they felt like this was the kind of wedding they would only see in a magazine! The owners, Sharon and Dale, were two of the most genuine, caring people I've ever met and I'm truly grateful for what they did to make our wedding what it was. The prices were outstanding compared to all of the other venues nearby that aren't even half as pretty! There were lots of things to add to the package to make things easier for us, so that was a huge plus. Another plus was location: they are in between Richmond and NoVa about 15 minutes from i95, so perfect for traveling guests. It rained the day of our wedding but it turned out to be so cozy and beautiful in the barn. They have so many locations around the property for taking pictures too! Truly the most magical day of my life because we had our wedding there!

I had the most amazing wedding. The owners are so sweet and very accommodating. This was the first venue I saw and the last. I didn't need to see any others It was love at first sight. They surround you with love the moment you walk into the door and make sure your day is everything you could ever imagine. I couldn't have picked a better spot to share my vows with my husband.

We had the absolute pleasure of having our October 4th, 2015 wedding (reception and ceremony) at this lovely farm. The Glasgow family is so sweet, generous and accommodating to their brides & grooms & the family/friends.

We had our dream wedding, got a ton of compliments, not just on our decorations, but on the venue itself. It is the perfect place to have that shabby chic, rustic yet classic wedding I and I'm sure a lot of people have dreamed of. And, my dreams and visions came true. It was raining the whole week and day leading up, but that only added to the charm of the venue.

There are not enough words to explain how truly amazing having our wedding here was. It was worth every penny! I wish I could relive it!

Choosing this venue was the absolute best decision we could have made. Our wedding would not have been the same somewhere else. Everything was gorgeous and I would recommend them to anyone and everyone!!!

My husband and I were married at The Glasgow Farm on May 8th, and we absolutely loved it! Sharon and Dale Glasgow were very kind and helpful and even went as far as to move the cross on the property up into the barn loft for our ceremony. The on staff wedding coordinator, Rachel Moberley, went above and beyond to make planning our wedding a stress free experience and also made our ceremony exactly the way we wanted it. The Glasgow Farm is a beautiful and peaceful place to get married, and my husband and I feel very blessed to have had the opportunity to get married here. We couldn't have asked for a better venue to have our wedding.

The Glasgow Farm was the perfect ceremony and reception location for our May 2015 wedding! The Glasgow's are so welcoming and friendly! The venue is absolutely beautiful and the level of care you receive is incomparable! This farm has all the rustic appeal you could want in a barn venue. I would recommend this venue to any couple wanting to do a rustic theme or just looking to breakaway from the cookie cutter ballroom venues!

The Glasgow Farm is a sweet and perfect venue to hold one's wedding or special event. The lights strewn along the inside of the barn along with the chandelier in the center of the room gave the entire space a really romantic and magical feel. The goats and turkeys were a huge hit as well! Sharon, Dale, and Rachel were all extremely helpful throughout the process. Most importantly, they seemed to really enjoy sharing these moments with other families.

Glasgow Farm is an absolutely beautiful venue. Everyone was so helpful both before our wedding day and on the actual day. We were able to go out to the venue several times to measure and figure out seating arrangements, which was wonderful. Sharon, Dale, and others at the farm are so helpful and seem to truly love what they do which makes a huge difference in wanting to get married there! We feel so blessed to have been married at such a warm and welcoming place. All of our guests are still talking about the wedding and how wonderful it was--the animals frolicking among the party guests, the ambiance in the old post barn, and the beautiful scenery were enjoyed by all. I highly recommend this venue to any couple looking to get married in a more rustic, outdoors setting--perfect for a farm wedding! We also had a tighter budget and this venue was within our budget which was an added bonus!

When you have your wedding at the Glasgow Farm, you feel like you're part of the family. Sharon and Dale go out of their way to make you feel welcome and make sure your day goes off without a hitch. They put so much work into their venue (which also happens to be their home!) to make it beautiful and functional. Our ceremony in their backyard, surrounded by trees and fields, was so romantic, and our reception in their rustic barn was everything we hoped for. Our first dance under the twinkle lights, surrounded by friends and family, was one of my favorite memories from the day. Your wedding is sure to be unique, memorable, and a treasure trove for your photographer, if you choose to have it here! And you also get the satisfaction of supporting a small business run by some of the sweetest people you will ever meet. Bonus: One of their daughters (www.rachaelcurryfilms.com) is a fantastic wedding videographer who knows the property like the back of her hand!

I can't say enough good things for The Glasgow Farm event Venue. The farm and barn are beautiful! They are reasonably priced! We had a beautiful ceremony in the upstairs part of the barn and the reception on the bottom! All me guest came up to me and said what a beautiful and perfect place for a rustic barn wedding!

This venue is perfect for a couple looking for rustic romance. We've booked the farm for our April 2017 wedding and are so excited to have our big day there! Sharon is so sweet and accommodating, and the location is idyllic and beautiful.

The Glasgow Farm is an incredibly beautiful family run farm that offers many options in ceremony and receptions locations. Sharon is the kindest and most lovely person and was willing to help with anything the day of! The farm is an incredible venue for the cost of rent and my husband and I could not have had a more perfect day there.

Overall, our experience with The Glasgow Farm was really good. This location is great for a DIY bride, as the property is really an open palate for decor, and has many locations for your ceremony. The barn and the warm lighting inside and outside on the patio is awesome and great for photos. The owners and small staff are very sweet and accommodating, and were quick to respond to questions.
The house on the property is available to rent for the night before the wedding if you have a Saturday event. It is really overpriced, but convenient.
This venue seems affordable, but everything costs extra, even taking out trash, and heating the barn (what?!?), which I was informed of only 2 days before the wedding (they ended up not charging us for this). Setting up and taking down tables and chairs has to be done by you, unless you want to pay $750 for set up and another $750 for cleanup. Neither of these options are detailed well in the contract so I was constantly having to ask what exactly was included. There are items you can rent, but it was so expensive that we got a lot of own own linens, plates, etc elsewhere. You have to be out by 11pm (including any clean-up or collecting personal items) or they will charge you by the hour. This is inconvenient when having an evening wedding. We paid for clean-up and the owner who was present didn't know we paid for it, which caused some confusion, and my mother didn't appreciate that.
One big plus is that we had access to the venue the Friday before the wedding to decorate. You can also choose any food, music, etc, as there are no limitations.
The landscaping on the property can change with the season. Keep in mind sometimes the large field is mowed, and other times its full of wildflowers.
Overall, very pleased with the Farm. I think they just need to work out some details.
In the end, it was the perfect venue for us and everyone told us it was the best wedding they'd ever been to!

The Glasgow Farm is a fantastic location for those looking for a rustic-style, barn wedding! All of our guests couldn't stop talking about how unique and amazing everything was - the Barn, the lights, even the farm animals! They have this big goat that a) loved people and b) proved to be a fantastic photo opp for our guests.

PROS:
1) VALUE. Glasgow was one of the more affordable options. We were originally looking in Loudoun County, but venues there were thousands of dollars more.

2) Ceremony sites. Glasgow has a number of areas where you can have your outside ceremony. We had our in the barnyard next to the barn. In the even of inclement weather, the ceremony can be held upstairs in the barn. Still makes for a great, rustic wedding.

3) Location. They're located roughly 10 mins from I-95 and several hotels. Not to mention the property is beautiful.

4) Flexibility. You're not limited in choosing vendors.

CONS:
1) RESPONSIVENESS. There were several occasions where we would email Sharon (the owner) several questions and wouldn't hear back for 2-3 weeks....and I'm not exaggerating. I cannot begin to tell you how much unnecessary stress this caused us.

2) Random changes. Our initial contract included the option for extra services (renting their china/glass, tablecloths and chair covers). 4 months after signing the contract and upon re-visiting Glasgow, we were informed that they were no longer going to offer these services, as it turned out to be too much of a hassle for them.

Conclusion:
The Glasgow is one of the best values you'll find in a wedding venue. However, please be advised that they are a relatively new venue. As a result, they seem to be going through some learning/growing pains that may cause your stress levels to increase. In the end though, our wedding was a huge success and Sharon, and her husband Dale, provided incredible support on the day-of. No regrets!
