Letti was AMAZING with planning our special day! She helped us explore so many options for decorating and for special extra activities during the reception. She was always so flexible when it came to scheduling our appointments. The day of the wedding everything was so organized and went without any issues! Our big day was everything we dreamed of and it's all thanks to Letti! -

I highly recommend The Gates on Main venue. Lettie was absolutely wonderful - she did a beautiful job with decor. It was exactly what we envisioned. Excellent communication and her recommended vendors were perfect. If you choose The Gates on Main for your event venue, you will not be disappointed. Lettie goes above and beyond to make the entire experience special. -

My husband and I had our wedding here on August 31, 2019! We loved our experience here with Lettie. She was wonderful and made everything so easy for us and was very accommodating to anything we needed. The venue is beautiful and so clean. Our guests kept complimenting about how nice everything was. I felt like Lettie had everything handled and she knew exactly what we wanted and she executed it very well. Every small thing I hadn’t thought about, Lettie did. It was so nice to have someone who could worry about the small details. I had zero issues on my wedding day and if there were any, I never heard about them! I totally recommend Lettie and her beautiful venue. -

Couldn't have done it without her! Lettie was very flexible. We booked about a year and a half in advance. She stayed flexible and enthusiastic with design changes. It is an all-inclusive venue, so Lettie coordinated with the dj, caterer, and baker. She was very honest, responsive, and passionate. We had no worries on our wedding day, because we knew she'd take care of everything and her venue was picture perfect! I definitely recommend The Gates on Main St for your wedding reception. -

We got married here on 7/20/19. This venue is GREAT! The owner (Lettie) is super patient and nice. When we originally found this venue on wedding wire, I was happy to see that there was even a venue in my hometown. After looking up pictures and asking for prices, I was impressed with the value. The prices are lower than the crazy big venues you'll find in Houston, but not cheap. There are several options so we picked the best one for our budget (kinda somewhere on the lower end). She has good connections with nearby vendors, so you get the ultimate decision of how much work you want to do in the planning process ranging from 'please take care of everything just let me pick stuff' to 'please let me rent the building, I can plan everything' --Amy Santiago style.
Lettie worked very hard to make sure everything went smoothly. From meeting initially several months prior, to a few months before, and a week or two prior, Lettie was professional and prompt with all communication (answering the phone, returning calls/emails, etc).
We had a wonderful reception! It's only been a few weeks, but I'm still receiving comments from friends about how nice the venue is or how much fun everyone had at the reception. If you are looking for a beautiful venue that fits about 200 people, I highly recommend The Gates on Main St. -

Amazing service, friendly staff, and definitely made our day awesome. Lettie was awesome she coordinated this day perfectly. My biggest concern was making sure that they could handle the coordination without coming to me with a million questions on the day of the event and she exceeded my expectations. We were able to enjoy our day and had nothing to worry about during this fun time. I also was very impressed with the decor choices that were all included in the price. I highly recommend them as a place to consider for your big day!!
The Groom's Point of View:
I'm excited that all I had to do literally was taste the cake! Lettie took care of my wife, which made for an awesome night of fun and memorable laughs. I'd highly recommend The Gates on Main services to any couple who would like to experience 5 star service with reasonable pricing and numerous options to choose from.

The night of the wedding went off without any issues! They made sure everything went smoothly. I couldn't have asked for a better group of people to work with. I received so many compliments on the venue and how gorgeous it is. Pictures of this place do not do it justice. It was the perfect intimate venue for the best day of our lives! -

Veronica Sent on 04/01/2015My fiance and I decided to switch venues 4 months before our wedding. I remember my mom mentioning the Gates on Main St. earlier in the planning process so I decided to give them a call and set up a meeting. From the moment we walked in we knew we had found our new wedding reception location!
The main room is beautiful, the bridal suite is to die for! Lettie and her staff were such a joy to work with. Given that we only had 4 months to replan and meet with new vendors, she helped us stay on top of tasks. There were a few vendors (cake, dj, caterer, bartending services, etc) to choose between. We quickly met with all and decided to go with our favorites. But let me tell you, Lettie has paired up with some great vendors to ensure that your wedding is all you could ask for and more!
All in all, we would definitely recomment the Gates on Main St. for a wedding reception(we had the ceremony elsewhere). They help you personalize your wedding and listen to what you want to help create it for you! Thank you ladies for your hard work <3 Everyone loved our reception :) -

Due to family circumstances, we were wanting to cancel our wedding venue over 10 months in advance. We gave our down payment of $1500 on the day we signed the contract plus an additional $2500 BEFORE the next payment was due. I understand the down payment is nonrefundable but she is also refusing to give us the additional money we gave her prior to the due date. In addition, we told her we did not want to exceed a certain amount on the day we signed. After she swiped our credit card, she gave us a higher balance than what we had verbally agreed. She said she had not included the taxes and other fees... conveniently, she waited to tell us that AFTER she swiped our card since the down payment is nonrefundable. We left disappointed and felt deceived. She states she will only return $1500 to us. She has more than 10 months to fill our spot next year in October, a very popular month for weddings. She wouldn't even allow us to downgrade our wedding venue for a less amount or sell our venue. We lost $2500 to cancel our wedding. She will easily fill our spot and sucker another couple to the venue. WARNING: Be careful before you sign anything and make sure she gives you the full and correct amount before swiping your card or taking your money. Do not give her additional money before the first due date and shop around to other places where they are at least honest about all the fees and taxes prior to signing and will allow you to at least sell your venue... unfortunately, sometimes things don't go as planned.
