Amazing experience!

We just had our wedding at the Garden House and could not be happier with our experience. Angela was extremely helpful with walking us through the entire process and making sure that we got exactly what we wanted. We had our wedding ceremony and reception both inside the Garden House and loved it. The staff there was incredible and kept things moving on schedule without us having to do anything. The venue is also beautiful so we could save money and time on decorations. I could not recommend the Garden House enough!

Angela was a pleasure to work with!

From touring the venue to packing up our things after our wedding, Angela was an absolute pleasure to work with! She was so sweet and helpful and went above and beyond to make our day perfect. The Garden House itself is just beautiful. We had nothing but compliments on what a gorgeous place it was. Restrooms and bridal suite were sparkling clean. The park itself was a beautiful backdrop. The price for what we got was 100% worth it. You cannot go wrong booking the Garden House!

Best venue ever!!

The Garden House at Look Park was a dream come true for our wedding. The wedding coordinator, Angela Otis, is absolutely amazing. She helped us throughout the entire process, and she made sure everything went perfectly. She was such a big help setting up and taking down decor after. She was flexible- letting us set up a day early and take down decor the morning after the wedding. I truly can't imagine a better coordinator!

As for the venue- Look Park and the Garden House is absolutely beautiful, straight out of a fairy tale. Our ceremony was at the Pines Theater- it looked like something from the renaissance or Shakespearean era. The perfect location. The Garden House looked beautiful as well for the cocktail hour under a tent surrounded by plants and flowers. The lights inside the venue were great too.

If you aren't sure where to have your wedding but you know you want somewhere beautiful, lush, and laid-back, this is your location!!!

Exactly what we were looking for!

We had a very specific look that we were trying to find for our wedding and my now husband had the idea to go and look at Look Park; I fell in love right away with the entire place, and we actually had both our ceremony and reception at Look Park. We started the planning process with Jillian who then got promoted and we finished our planning and had Angela there day of to set everything up and make sure that everyone was where they needed to be. They were extremely prompt when getting back to emails and were extremely flexible when it came to meeting face to face - both my husband and I work 3rd shift so our schedules are really different than most people. The Garden House is simply beautiful; rustic and elegant and really doesn't need loads of decorations which is something that we really enjoyed, all the open wood and beamed ceiling. The Garden House and Look Park in general was the perfect place for us to get married and the pictures that were taken there are simply gorgeous!

Beautiful Venue with a Supportive Team

We used Look Park for our reception (our ceremony was held in a church off site). Jill was incredibly helpful with the whole process from beginning to end. We live in the DC area, so planning out of state was a bit tricky. Jill provided us with her list of recommended vendors in any category you could think of, which greatly helped us plan our whole wedding day. Throughout the entire process, Jill was incredibly responsive and organized, and I never once worried about anything going wrong on our wedding day. The grounds of Look Park are GORGEOUS and provided stunning backdrops for our wedding photos. The room felt large with our 140 guests, bar service was phenomenal, and day-of coordination was seamless. We cannot recommend this venue more!

We couldn't have been happier with our experience at the Garden House. All the staff (especially Jilian) was so helpful and accommodating. We got married on an extremely hot day and they were able to alter the plans for the ceremony and cocktail hour to accommodate for this. We had 120 guests and a 8 piece band and the space was very comfortable. Jilian - you are amazing and we felt so fortunate to have you working our wedding! Thank you for all you did to make our wedding feel so magical. We would HIGHLY recommend this venue - thank you!!!!!

The Garden House was such a wonderful venue for our wedding! Jilian was a pleasure to work with and made the process so easy. We got married in November and we were waiting on the forecast to determine whether we would have an indoor wedding or a wedding on the courtyard. We ended up with exceptionally warm weather for November and had a high of 62 so we elected to have the wedding in the courtyard and it was perfect. We added a chuppah, but the venue set up the chairs. We were a bit worried about guests being chilly so Jilian suggested that we rent heaters, which worked perfectly. Though prior reviewers mentioned issued with the staff and the bar, we had no such issues.The bar closed promptly on time, but while open the staff were friendly and responsive. The woman we worked with the day of Angela was helpful and friendly. The reception in the Garden House was gorgeous and really needs no decorations other than flowers for the tables because the venue is so stunning by itself. I highly recommend this venue for your special day!

This place is perfect!! First of all, Jilian the director is amazing and she really knows her stuff, and on top of that the amount charged to hold a wedding ceremony and reception here is literally 10% of the price of all the other venues in the area that we checked out AND it is nonprofit, which means all the money you pay goes directly to keeping the park open! Not to mention Look park is a gorgeous setting with multiple locations to hold a ceremony and reception. The garden house, should you choose to hold the reception there, has a beautiful, rustic, vintage feel. There's a stone mantle fireplace and gorgeous exposed beams. Seriously is you live in MA, CT or NY check this place out!!!

The Garden House is a beautiful place for a wedding reception and ceremony. There are multiple options on the property depending on what type of ceremony you want. The best part was the built in rain contingency plan - which we took advantage of! We moved the ceremony the night before from The Pines Theater to the large tent outside the Garden House due to weather but it ended up being the best decision we made, the tent is beautiful and the courtyard surrounding was nicely landscaped. I cannot say enough great things about the staff from the first meeting through the end of the reception - Jil knows this place in and out and was very easy to work with. During the ceremony and reception, Jil and Beth kept us on schedule and were on hand getting the wedding party drinks and making sure everyone was comfortable. Every time I turned around they would be clearing tables or helping guests - it meant a lot to us and felt like they cared about making our wedding a success! A couple things to note: the bridal suite is a little small and does not have a bathroom. We had 15 round tables (with 8-10 ppl each) and a sweetheart table - the room felt full but not crowded and people were still able to move around. The initial floorplan included 19 tables for 175 ppl, I'm not sure how this would be possible without everyone being on top of each other so I feel it was the perfect space for our quantity of guests.

We used The Garden House at Look Park for our reception venue, after a church ceremony in Northampton. We selected this venue for our November wedding because of the beautiful exposed beams, huge fireplace, and reasonable price. However, their staff is what makes this venue truly special. Jilian was incredibly helpful and responsive as we planned our event; Jessica was wonderful the day-of making sure our reception went smoothly; and the bar tender was excellent as well. Plus, our pictures around the park were perfect. I highly recommend this venue!

The venue is very organized. Clean. The staff is courteous and very accommodating.
Our wedding was in the courtyard, we had the reception in Garden House. This made it simple for our out of town guests not familiar with the area; less driving from a church to the reception was a good thing for these guests.
The room on its own is beautiful and provided a great back drop to our evening wedding. Our cake vendor, caterer and flower person had an easy time getting in and setting up. Because there was no event prior to our evening wedding that day we were allowed to bring in stuff early. Our DJ was very happy because this made his set up much easier. Do not hesitate to ask if there is an event prior to your wedding, you may find it helpful to get things done early if there is a chance to do so. Again, this was only because there was NO event prior to ours. We were also allowed to go anywhere in the park with our photographer, as long as there was no event going on in other areas.
Communication was easy. We planned our wedding long distance. The response time to emails was fast. Contact person in the office at the Garden House asked that we have a conference call to go over everything detail by detail; this was very professional of them considering we were long distance it worked out well.

Our wedding at the Garden House was a truly magical experience. The ceremony was in the woods at the back of the property, a true wedding in the woods fantasy. The rest of the property was large and beautiful and provided the perfect place for everything wedding related from photos and parking to the ceremony itself, I was incredibly impressed with the service as well.

Because of our Christian faith, my wife and I opted to have an alcohol free wedding where no alcohol would be served at any point. The staff at the Garden house were incredibly attentive to our desires and gave us the best possible wedding with all of our desires met.

It was an absolute pleasure having our wedding here and would suggest it to anyone considering it as an option.

If you enjoy the warmth of rich mahogany paneled walls, a massive working stone gas fireplace, exposed beamed vaulted ceilings and detailed craftsman lighting fixtures and architecture throughout, not to mention beautiful, highly sought after Chiavari chairs, then look no further.

We searched high and low for an intimate venue to reflect us and were pleasantly surprised to find this gem tucked away in Florence/Northampton. We read the reviews and immediately booked our wedding reception for January 2014. As an experienced wedding planner, my expectations are high, perhaps too high. Jill Larkin and The Garden House at Look Park completely lived up to their exceptional reputation for customer service and exceeded our expectations. Professional, courteous, detail-oriented communications. When planning an event, I tend to ask many questions which may seem insignificant to some, however questions for which answers are necessary. I also prefer communicating by email. Jill clearly addressed and answered each question in each email. She had my full confidence almost immediately. Jill's suggestions were precise and practical for arranging the room specific to our needs for the style of reception we desired, yet she was accommodating with some of our, perhaps unusual, requests.

Our caterer was thrilled to find out we had selected The Garden House as our venue. It speaks volumes when your vendors have established solid relationships. The kitchen facilities and equipment are top notch.

Upon the arrival of our vendors, the facility was clean, polished, and prepared as per our floor plan chart.

Jessica was assigned as our wedding coordinator the day of our wedding. She was present, attentive to our needs and available until we vacated the facility. The bartenders were sharp and on point.

Focus your attention on your caterer, florist (centerpieces) and wedding cake because you won't have a thing to worry about with this venue choice.

When my wife and I went searching for wedding venues, the Garden House at Look Park was a name which came up with several recommendations. When we arrived for a site visit, we fell in love quickly and completely. In fact, it was the only venue we visited!

Jilian, the coordinator for Look Park, did an excellent job keeping the lines of communication open and helping us to use Look Park as a conduit for our vision. The Garden House itself is a beautiful Mission-style hall with a wonderful bar, beautiful tables, and an impressive fireplace in front of which we placed some uplighting and our sweetheart table.

Our actual wedding site was in The Pines Theater, which is also on the ground of Look Park. It was a beautiful, outdoor venue with an excellent price and Jilian also did a fantastic job at translating our ideas into something concrete.

Look Park is a beautiful location for a fantastic price. There's a reason we only saw one venue before we chose: the combination of outdoor beauty and Jilian's professionalism made our choice an easy one!

The garden house was a beautiful location for my wedding. There were a lot of beautiful places to take pictures. The inside is romanticand the up lighting I got lit up the room. It was beautiful. We held our daughters late November wedding at the Garden House at Look Park. The wedding ceremony and reception was everything our family dreamed it would be. Jilian and Jessica were great to work with and didn't miss a beat in setting up everything just as we requested. They worked in our 'special requests' in all areas. My daughter and son-in-laws ceremony was held outdoors at The Pine's Theater in Look Park. They usually do not keep the Pine's Theater open that late in the year due to unpredictable weather. Because my daughter had her heart set on an outdoor ceremony, they agreed to allow us to use The Pines, weather permitting. The weather cooperated and my daughter was able to have the wedding ceremony of her dreams.
There could not have been a better place for our rustic but elegant wedding. The hall is beautiful, clean and well maintained. The added atmosphere of the fire in the fireplace was terrific. Our guests raved about The Garden House.
I would also like to thank the park guards and the set-up crew who worked with us. Everyone was so helpful and made a contribution to a flawless day!

The Garden House at Look Park was a great choice for our reception. Jilian is really easy to work with and the entire staff is really helpful and considerate. The place looked gorgeous for our wedding reception. We hardly needed any decorations because they do such a nice job with the landscaping and seasonal decorations. The banquet manager was really sweet and easy to work with. We had a fabulous time there and would definitely return for other functions in the future.

Jill and the staff at Look park Garden house were wonderful to work with and will cater to your needs. The room at the Garden House was the perfect size for us and our 160 guests. The room is not so big that you lose the intimate feeling, and it was not too small where we felt crowded. The decor is so beautiful that we really did not feel the need to overly decorate the tables or chairs. I highly recommend this venue if your wedding reception is 150 guests or less.

Look Park is a gorgeous and romantic setting. We were fortunate to come across Look Park when looking at weddings at Smith College. The park offers a number of places to hold the ceremony. We chose the sanctuary, a beauty spot adjacent to the river. A few thunderstorms resulted in change of venue, to the gorgeous marque adjacent to the Garden House.

The prices are very reasonable (getting married mid-week saves a few bucks) and the service is incredible. We had several meetings prior to the wedding - Jill loves getting to know her clients and we felt it was a warm and personalized service.

We had a few last minute changes due to numbers and the weather and for which they were really accommodating.

The Garden House is stunning - a place you simply have to see. The beverage service was professional and not overpriced.

I loved working with the Garden House to plan our event and recommend them without reservation.

We recently married at Look Park in Florence. Our ceremony was outside at the Sanctuary with the reception inside at the Garden House. Jilian, the event coordinator was super helpful, professional and courteous. She made sure everything was perfect for our day, always answering my emails and phone calls promptly and meeting with us a month before to make sure all the little details were right. Her day-of coordinator, Terri, was also very professional and was just around the corner whenever I needed her for anything. Both the sanctuary and the garden house looked great and I couldn't be happier. The only reason I'm giving 4 stars instead of 5 is that Terri approached me shortly into the night at the reception that the lights weren't dimming (the dimmer was broken). She had called Jilian who offered free champagne for us and anything we might want, which was nice, but it was unfortunate that the lights were so bright the whole night- guests did comment on it. Other than that, everything was great!

My wedding at Look Park was absolutely beautiful - I couldn't have asked for a better setting. We had our ceremony outdoors at the Pines Theater, and countless wedding guests told me how unbelievably gorgeous the space was. The Garden House is great as well - with lots of parking and clean, nice facilities as well. I really couldn't be happier with my experience.

Wonderful August Wedding at Look Park

I am so happy that we chose Look Park & the Garden House for our August 2022 wedding! After a long venue search, we decided on the Garden House for a few reasons -- it has beautiful indoor & outdoor spaces, it is a non-profit park, and the wonderful event manager Angela. We were lucky with beautiful weather and got married outside at the Sanctuary at Willow Lake, a gorgeous outdoor space with a unique wooden structure and pond. There are backup options for poor wedding, including a large event tent (with sides that can be added) or doing the event in the Garden House itself. We held cocktail hour outside under the tent, then moved into the Garden House for the reception. All the spaces were lovely, and Angela is very attentive to detail. She made sure that everything was just the way we wanted, and she was there to assist we were rehearsing, getting ready, and for the event itself. Angela was also quite helpful during the planning process. She listened to our ideas carefully, then suggested vendors who were in our price range and met our goals (e.g., local musicians, nearby florists). She also gave advice on floral arrangements to fit the space. I credit most of the wedding's success to our awesome vendor team, and Angela was instrumental in helping us build this group. The prices were reasonable, and cheaper than other "event venues" in the area. We loved knowing that the money went towards a non-profit park. Everything was wheel chair accessible and the Garden House is a modern air-conditioned space. One of the only down sides was the limited getting ready area. The bridal suite was small for my party of 6 bridesmaids, but we were able to do hair & makeup on the dance floor and the groomsmen got ready elsewhere. It worked out well, and was worth it for the other perks. I highly recommend the Garden House / Look Park for an indoor/outdoor wedding venue

Ceremony and reception

If I could, I would pick this place 100 times over. We walked around the grounds with Angela, one of the coordinators, and we quickly fell in love. They were so flexible for us to come and visualize our big day, answer all our questions/emails, and show that they were excited for us!! This place brought my wedding dreams to a complete reality. That was the best day ever (I know, very cliché, but honestly so true!!!) and so much of it had to due with this place. I would recommend it to anyone!!!!

I recently got married at Look Park and couldn't have been happier. We booked a year & a half in advance since dates fill quickly. While at times Jill was a bit slow to get back to us, it seems like she's the only person doing this work for the Park so I can understand the time restraints she has. Overall, she was very nice and forgiving in terms of when we provided our last count/table assignments.
We had our rehearsal at the Willow Brook Shelter with a picnic theme where we brought in all the food and drinks (no kegs or glass bottles allowed, alcohol permit needed costs $15). I highly recommend doing this. It was laid back, fun, and a great way to start our wedding weekend. Also the Park Staff were so friendly.
We had our ceremony at the Pines Theater. For set up, we only had a few potted plants for decor and our DJ. The seats were set up by the Park Staff. Everything was beautiful but I will warn against bugs. If you're carrying flowers, wear bug spray.
We had our reception at the Garden House. The building is gorgeous so we had very little decorations. While I've read some bad reviews about the bar staff, we had no problems. We had open bar for all of our guests and everyone was served without any hassle. Also the venue staff was amazing. Our assistant for the day was so helpful in getting people away from the sweetheart table and reminding me to eat which I appreciated :)
I would recommend Look Park to anyone that wants a picturesque, semi-DIY wedding. I loved it.

The Garden House was a stunning setting for our ceremony and reception! We ended up having the ceremony in the tent due to rain, and it worked out perfectly. The Garden House itself is the prefect venue, with beams lining the ceiling and a gas fireplace. The staff were very easy to work with as well. Jill took care of everything ahead of time and was always able to answer any questions we had. Jessica was our day of coordinator, and while we didn't meet her until that day, she was excellent! There were honestly no glitches the whole night and she did a great job. She was also ready to get us drinks from the bar immediately following the ceremony which was a nice touch. I would highly recommend Look Park for the venue itself as well as the staff!

My wife and I got married at the Sanctuary at Look Park and then had our reception at the Garden House. It was an absolutely BEAUTIFUL day, and everything was perfect. We dealt with Jillian in all the planning stages, and she was very nice. We also dealt with Jessica as the day-of coordinator and she was terrific. Everything was set up exactly as we asked, and Jessica was incredibly responsive, and had some cool ideas of her own.

I would definitely recommend Look Park to anyone looking for a scenic New England wedding!

We used the Sanctuary in the Park for the ceremony. It was incrediable the sight is perfect for an outdoor wedding. Then we used the garden house in the park for the reception We simply decorated it with a few cadles and our center pieces but the inside is so nice it doesn't take alot it has a Huge stone fireplace which was lite and it just created a beautiful atmosphere.

Loved our wedding venue!

The Garden House and Look Park's Sanctuary was the perfect place for our 100 person wedding. Once we booked our date, Angela was responsive and helpful with any needs we had. Clean, beautiful, and exactly what we were looking for!

Look Park and the Garden House was a great choice for our wedding. The space was beautiful and fit with our garden theme perfectly. The grounds are gorgeous and made for excellent pictures. We had 120 guests and felt that this space worked well for a party this size. Too many more would have been very cramped. We appreciated the rain contingency plan. Rain was forecasted for our wedding day, but we didn't need to decide whether to move the ceremony under the tent until that morning. This was great because the rain held off and we were able to have the wedding outside! Communication before hand was a little difficult, but overall, no major complaints!

The Garden House at Look Park is absolutely gorgeous! We searched for venues for months and actually found this place by chance. We decided to take a peek and fell in love - it is definitely a hidden treasure. The building is styled in Arts and Crafts and the park has tons of beautiful locations for ceremony sites. We chose Pines Theater which is unbelievable.

The Garden House is located next to bumper boats and put put. I was initially concerned about this, but you don't notice it at all.

The park staff were so friendly and very willing open the building for us to view, practice dancing, etc.

The venue manager we directly spoke with was really good with in person questions; however, we were planning the wedding from California and had to send a lot of emails. Her response time was slow and she did not always answer all of our questions. However, she was extremely flexible with any of our last minute details.

I can't say enough good things about the Garden House and the staff. The venue is beautiful for a warm Autumn wedding, and the park it is located at is stunning. We had our ceremony at the Pines Theater (also located at Look Park) and then guests has a beautiful, easy stroll to the Garden House. The interior walls are warm wood paneling with art deco flowers along the ceiling and the fireplace provided amazing ambiance.
We worked with the Garden House coordinator, Jillian and she was very flexible. She allowed us to have an aisle runner going into the Garden House, and also a Pinata! We also could have our own cake decorator and didn't have to buy into any all inclusive, restrictive wedding packages. The on side manager, Jessica was very attentive, but not overbearing - asking me if I needed anything at intervals during the reception. They provided us with a vendor list which is how we found our amazing caterer, Seth Mias.

The cost was unbeatable. We had a small budget ($10,000 total for the whole wedding. Which in New England is a nearly impossible feat) and we managed to stay within it thanks to the reasonable cost of this venue. We also had our wedding on a Sunday, with reduced the cost as well.

My only complaint was that there were often long spells between emails and phone calls from Jillian, the manager. We had to be a little more persistent with contacting her than our other vendors.

Loved this venue! A gorgeous 1930s room with a huge fireplace and large dance floor.
We had 147 people, and it felt tight. Not sure how another 23 people would fit in!

We worked with Jill to finalize all the plans and beverage service. She isn't incredibly responsive, but I think she also works part time. It would have been nice to have someone there the evening of the wedding who had gone through everything with us, but there were no issues, so it didn't matter.

Big Props to the grounds people, who helped set up chairs last minute at the Pines Theater, so we could have our ceremony outside. It was raining in the morning, then not, then rain, then there was a small window so we did it outside! Then it started to pour again!

We actually booked the venue before I saw it since we planned the wedding in less than 3 months. I was very relieved when I saw what a lovely space it is. The fireplace gave the room a great atmosphere particularly on a fall day. The service was great. They were really on top of all the little details, and because we got married on a Monday, Columbus day, we got a great deal.

My husband and I got married last week (April 2017) and had the Garden House as our reception space. We booked it close to two years ago since we were living on the west coast for most of the wedding planning and Jilian, the Director, was able to give us the rates when we booked it in 2015. We loved the venue for its location and beauty, there is not much decorating to do depending on our style/theme. Communication via email was fairly quick and the 24 hours leading up to the wedding was on point. I was able to come in to set up the day before and felt that I could trust Jilian and her staff to do a great job and to put my guests first the day of. The day of coordinator was also very responsive and was very helpful. I would definitely recommend the Garden House for anyone looking for an event/reception space.

We got held our ceremony at the Pines Theatre and it was just STUNNING! We did decorate it ourselves with an arch and some lanterns, but the space is still gorgeous without it. The most frustrating part about it was having to do it on our own.
We had the reception at the garden house which we both fell in love with when we visited it. It is both classy and rustic combined. We had no issues with the bar and them not serving people (as posted in other reviews), and they were really good with our group which was definitely filled with some big drinkers.
My only complaint about it is that you are doing a lot of it on your own. We held our own rehearsal and kind of ran our own show, which was frustrating the day of because we had a lot of vendors ask us questions and we were like "ummm I have no idea." The day of the wedding you work with an assistant (she was great!!!) but I wish I could have been working with her all a long so when it came to our wedding day their wasn't as many questions.

We rented the Garden House, the outside tent, and the Pines Theater for our wedding. All were beautiful and the day was great. Working to set up the event was a bit stressful and figuring out how the bar is priced was part of that. However, the staff onsite day-of was very helpful.

Overall we were happy with our choice, it was a convenient location and had much nicer character than hotels or halls nearby. I also liked being able to pick your own caterer, which saved money. Unfortunately they could not get us in for a day-before rehearsal which was hard having all out-of-town people, and I never met the coordinator until the day of, which gave no time to actually explain what I wanted done. The bar was overly strict and shut down 20 min early without warning or communication (because a guest snuck in an outside bottle), they should not have ruined the remainder of the evening for the rest of the people and should have just delt with that person individually.

We held our wedding at Look Park's chapel "The Sanctuary" and had our reception at their Dow Pavilion. The park itself was absolutely beautiful and the perfect location. It was extremely hard to get ahold of the two people in charge of events for each location however and they were quite slow to respond to emails. The pavilion was a mess and not ready when we arrived which took us time to get cleaned up (bird poop was all over the floors!) and resulted in our wedding being 30 minutes late to start! I'd definitely get married here in terms of beauty, but I'd recommend it only if you can be flexible and you plan ahead to make sure that everything can be cleaned up and ready before you use it! (So no AM wedding receptions at the Pavilion!)

The Garden House is a beautiful place for a reception and we are glad we choose it, but we had a hard time staying in contact with the booking contact and found one individual to be difficult to work with. Also, the woman we worked with to set up our wedding reception was not the person there on the day.

We orginially looked at Look Park for both the reception and ceremony location. During the tour, we were repeatedly told that there is "one wedding a day" and if it rained we could use the tent. During this initial part of the process Jilian was super responsive and full of welcome hospitality. We were thrilled. However, after receiving the contract we had several questions that I emailed Jilian. We waited a few days but never received any response to the email and questions. Therefore, we had deadline dates on hold for Look Park and another location and needed to make a decision. We chose to forgo Look Park for the reception and stay only with the ceremony there. Jilian then responded only to that email to confirm the ceremony sight and gave the price for just the ceremony and all was paid. We were told we had nothing to do for the park until final numbers were needed. We were never made aware that it was actually "one reception a day" not "one wedding a day" at the park and by forgoing the reception, thus we would not have the tent for a rain plan. It was not until 2 weeks prior to the wedding that we learned this information, which was during a call to confirm number of chairs we would need. Jilian's response to the confusion was distant and unapologetic. Now I get that maybe it would seem common sense that this would be the case, however, when you're new at planning your wedding nothing really appears common sense. It would have been helpful that Jilian provided the information in the beginning as I wouldn't have decided on an outdoor ceremony without a built in back up plan as I had everything done 2 weeks before the wedding. Through this whole process it seemed like we were only important when it came to getting our money and we were left feeling it was a political game of word choices to "sell" the park rather than help plan our wedding. A simple change of words, answer to emails and an apology would have gone a long way in helping us feel less like only $.

Bar staff ruined protions of event due to bride paid for open bar but during event bar staff refused to serve bride due to no ID despite her paying for Open bar. Bar tenders served weak drinks, refused many requests and when we approached them on these reports they began refusing more guests in the guise of following the law of no alchol to those people they deemed under thirty. Sorry state of affairs. Do not get bar at this venue

I held my wedding this past summer at Look Park. The venue itself is gorgeous and I was so happy to have the opportunity to get married in the Park as it was a perfect day.

As far as the venue for the reception, look elsewhere. While the Garden House is beautiful, the staff running the events is reason enough not to book. In my opinion, the wedding director is extremely passive aggressive and made may misleading statements over the course of the wedding when it came to the bar. This was the highest cost of the venue, and I was not impressed AT ALL. It seems to be a scam, you must use their bar if you hold an event (although you have outside food vendor). The bar is not fully stocked and their version of the premium bar is not the value you would receive at other local venues. The bar staff refused to serve me (the bride) or numerous guests and our wedding party because we did not have IDs. They also refused to allow us to have a pre-reception toast with the bridal party in the bridal suite. Our caterer had to fight them on this. They ran out of our "signature" drinks and did not make more. They will not serve martinis and I found this to be extremely disappointing as I was lead to believe this was not an issue when booking the venue. The bar tenders themselves were rude to our guests and my husband (the groom). This venue needs a lesson in customer service! It was appalling. I have told many people about this experience and no one has ever heard such a thing.

The day of coordinator (provided by Look Park) introduced herself briefly when we arrived at the venue but I did not see her the rest of the night. Even when we encountered our numerous issues with the bar staff, she was no where to be found. I am so thankful to the caterer and lead server hired, as they truly saved the night (outside vendor).

Overall, it was a lovely wedding, it just is a shame people work in this type of field without a customer focus mentality.
