  Our reception at The Francis was wonderful. Working with Ryan was a pleasure and he was responsive to our emails and questions regarding changes to the menu, room configuration, timeline, etc. The room captain, Carlos, that night kept everything on track and the bartenders and wait staff were great. I can't tell you how many times our guests have told us since the reception how extraordinary the food was. We are hearing comments like "I can't believe that was wedding reception food!" "The grouper was delicious". "The sliders were soooooo good!". We highly recommend The Francis for any event you may be hosting. You will not be disappointed - we weren't! Thanks Ryan and crew for making our day extra special!

  Our reception at The Francis was wonderful.   The Francis did a stupendous job on our wedding day reception! We had very specific wants, needs and designs we wanted followed for our special day and boy oh boy were our expectations met! They worked so well with my outside vendors, followed our detailed timeline and seating requests and the FOOD WAS AMAZING! We had a fully customized stationed reception with very out of the ordinary menu options. Everything came out INCREDIBLY delicious. The staff was very professional and attentive and took great care of us and our guests. We were just blown away by how beautiful the room was and how seamless our night went! They did a great job communicating with our DJ to ensure things went smoothly and our timeline was followed. We would recommend their services to any bride and groom looking for a wedding day to remember forever! Thank you all so much!

  BOOK YOUR WEDDING RECEPTION HERE!!! Great food, awesome staff, flawless execution.
  
  We were married on 10/24/15 and had our reception at The Francis. We had originally planned to have our ceremony and reception in the same spot, but after some plans fell through, we had to find a new reception space -- that is when we found The Francis. Booking here was the best decision we made on our wedding day. From the first time we met with Lisa, she made us feel extremely important and took away a lot of our planning stress.
  
  The Francis is an awesome spot. It's in the heart of downtown, there is a free parking garage attached, and the interior is spacious, gorgeous, clean, and modern.
  
  Lisa worked with us to create the perfect menu -- full of delicious hors d'oeuvres, a flatbread station, amazing entrees, and an awesome dessert room. We had so many guests that the food was the best food they had ever had at a wedding (because it doesn't taste like wedding food -- it tastes like high-end restaurant quality). Lisa allowed us to get creative with our menu and gave us valuable guidance and input along the way. With her help, we were able to transform the formal dining room adjacent to the foyer, into our "holding room" before our grand entrance, and then the staff transformed it into an elegant dessert room for our guests. The dessert selection was amazing (donuts, tartlets, chocolates, cheesecake lollipops, fruit, and slices from our cake). This was a huge hit with our guests -- we even did a powder sugar stencil and The Francis staff made it look beautiful on the table.
  
  Lisa was fantastic in helping us with decor and set-up, and even coordinated with our planner and other vendors to ensure the day went perfectly -- and it did. The staff working our event were professional and so nice to our guests.
  
  If you want to have a one of a kind wedding with great food and great service, go to The Francis. This place (and the staff) are amazing!

  We are overwhelmed with gratitude to Ryan Hill, Lisa Seidensticker and the staff at both The Francis and Libby’s Cafe for the outstanding job they did catering both our daughter’s wedding at Selby Gardens and the rehearsal dinner at Libby’s Cafe. From the moment we made contact with Ryan with our initial inquiry to the end of the wedding evening, we experienced personalized, professional and exceptional service. Ryan worked with us to customize the menu to our taste and the food was both delicious and presented beautifully. We had several guests tell us that the food was the “best wedding food EVER”. Ryan and Lisa also worked with us to help design and execute our reception, meeting with us several times in advance, offering valuable advice and in the end creating a magical setting using beautiful lighting and table settings. We were all absolutely thrilled. Five stars to Ryan and his crew!!

  Happy non-traditional bride seeking family style meal for 50

  Modern events did an incredible - let me say it again - incredible job. As a newly-former restaurant professionals, my husband and I am extremely particular on all-things food and service related. They totally pulled it off. Sury and David made sure we got what we wanted for our destination wedding (family style, whole fish, whole ribeye, seamless & elevated service) . The staff assigned to out event was professional and communicative. I mean, talk about surpassing expectations. I was thrilled - thank you.

  The Francis is a gorgeous, modern venue, and being attached to Louies Modern means they have incredible chefs and service staff. The food at our wedding reception was exquisite, and was set up at tapas-style stations all around the room, which meant little to no waiting for our guests when it was time to eat (unlike typical buffet style). The Francis offered a reasonably priced open bar package, and gave us loads of delicious-sounding menu options. I was just sad that we were planning our wedding from afar and couldn't come in for a tasting!
  
  Overall, our reception was very well executed by the staff. There were, unfortunately, several issues: the primary issue was a lack of communication throughout the planning process, as weeks would go by before I would have a response to a question (and sometimes, I had to pester them to get a response). And on the night of our wedding, certain details were overlooked- the dessert presentation didn't feature our names written in chocolate, as promised, and the banquet captain was not around when we arrived to make sure everyone was where they needed to be for our grand entrance. Most disappointingly, my mother-in-law had to repeatedly ask servers to refilled the bread and dessert stations.
  
  In the scheme of things, these details were relatively small, and our guests had a wonderful time. The space was beautiful, and the servers were very polite and attentive- our waters were constantly refilled, and they even left entrees at our places when we were on the dance floor, because they knew the bride and groom rarely get a chance to eat! I really appreciated that!!!
  
  When we contacted The Francis a few days after our reception, they were eager to apologize for the mistakes that were made and make things right. If I had to do it all again, I would definitely still choose The Francis, but I might have been more assertive about needing a faster response, and I would have sent over my maid-of-honor with a checklist beforehand!
