Patient, Flexible, and Amazing!

Sandy is a wonderful person who designs wonderful floral arrangements! She has the patience and flexibility of a saint and an amazing eye for flowers. I would recommend her to anyone getting married, especially people like me who are indecisive yet also picky!

Beautiful Wedding Flowers

I was very happy to connect with Sandy at The Flowering Vine when researching for a florist for our October 2021 wedding. Sandy took so much time to talk with me about my vision for the day and really took the reigns when I asked for her expertise! Sandy was thorough and delivered a beautiful product on our wedding day! We were so happy with the way our flowers tied our whole vision together and I loved my bouquet so much that I sent it to be preserved so that I could enjoy it for a lifetime to come!

Stunning centerpieces!

Since I am a covid bride, I have been talking to Sandy for the last two years now. She has always been very responsive and even willing to meet with me several times, as I’ve had to reschedule and change my venue/arrangements multiple times now. She has always been very understanding, professional and accommodating.
The flowers and centerpieces turned out to be fantastic! Several people came up to me during the reception saying how stunning the arrangements were! I can’t thank Sandy enough for making our wedding day so special!

Absolutely Perfect!!!!

I can not say enough about my flowers or florist!!!! I ran out of votives the day of the wedding and she stepped up and made everything look gorgeous. Hands down the best florist around!!!!

Flowers were so lovely and exactly what we wanted!

We were SO happy with how our flowers turned out. They were truly perfect - so lovely and exactly what we wanted. We placed a pretty large order with Sandy and she did an amazing job on everything! That included bride bouquet, bridesmaid bouquets, flower girl "flower wand", groom/groomsmen/father boutonnieres, chuppah, centerpieces, gift/memorial table arrangements and flowers for our cake. Sandy took the time to chat with us and really understand what we wanted. On the day of the wedding she was prompt, which we appreciated as well. Would definitely recommend her!

Gorgeous Flowers, Talented Florist

We were so fortunate to work with Sandy from Flowering Vine. After meeting with her, she took the vision I had described and created floral arrangements that were more beautiful than I imagined. Sandy also had amazing, creative ideas, such as creating a beautiful garland that surrounded us during our ceremony. Sandy is extreme talented, and has such a good eye, while also keeping her arrangements reasonably priced. We're so happy we used Flowering Vine for our floral arrangements!

Sandy is wonderful to work with and her bouquets are beautiful! She did all of the flower arrangements for our wedding at the Publick House. I was in love with my bouquet! She met with us ahead of time, she was lovely to talk with and I was really impressed by her knowledge and ideas when planning the floral pieces. And I just can’t emphasize enough how excellent her work is, I’ll post pictures. I loved working with Sandy and highly recommend her.

Sandy’s beautiful designs were the icing on the cake at our daughter’s bridal shower which was held in the garden tent at The Publick House in Sturbridge on July 8, 2018. We had her make multiple arrangements including the reception and gift tables, each guest table and a couple extras for the ladies room and a hallway table. Each and every centerpiece (which consisted of sunflowers, delphiniums, hydrangea, and roses just to name some of the varieties used) were stunning! Although we knew Sandy was very artistic, we felt our arrangements were still beyond what we could have hoped for. It was so nice to receive many overwhelming compliments from our guests as well. Sandy did the flowers for my daughter's wedding in Newport in July 2013 and my other daughter's wedding at the Wang Theater in May 2017. The flowers at both weddings were over the top beautiful! Working with Sandy is smooth, fun and relaxing. Sandy is very flexible and works within your budget. She comes up with great ideas and works very hard to bring the brides vision to life. I recommended Sandy to my niece and a friend. The flowers at my niece's wedding were gorgeous as well. Thank you, Sandy, for brining beauty to the weddings of my daughters!

I can't say enough about my experience working with Sandy! I had lots of ideas for most aspects of my weddings, but not the flowers. I had absolutely no idea what I wanted, beyond colors and budget. So I emailed Sandy with how many bouquets, boutonnieres, center piece filler, etc I needed, my colors, one picture of a bridal bouquet I liked, and how much I budgeted. Sandy responded very quickly with a whole design for me that sounded wonderful. I never met Sandy in person, but the flowers looked exactly as I'd hoped, and I received lots of compliments. She even prearranged the filler for each individual centerpiece (to go with paper flowers) so no one would need to be creating arrangements the day of the wedding. I couldn't have asked for a better experience. Thank you Sandy!

The Flowering Vine not only provided florals for our wedding but Sandy provided the best advice and expertise you could hope for. In the expensive, highly competitive Boston Wedding market we chose to go with this gem of a florist located in Sturbridge. The support and personal attention that Sandy provides makes you feel like you have a member of the family helping with the flowers. Sandy went out of her way to deliver to our Boston hotel so that we would have our bouquet for the getting ready pictures AND then to our venue… making sure that everything looked perfect and was set up to our specifications. Interactions were prompt and thorough and the cost was spot on. I highly recommend The Flowering Vine.

We were a little late to the floral party when planning the wedding but Sandy made it a perfect and effortless experience for us. The flowers arrived at multiple locations and were absolutely beautiful. We can't wait to see all our photos but the ones we have are amazing! Thank you Sandy! ❤️

Sandy Carroll at The Flowering Vine is the only person you should go to for flowers, for any occasion! She is such a joy to work with and is incredibly classy and professional. We had a meeting a brainstormed different ideas for my wedding bouquet and centerpieces, and she had a lot of samples to show me. Not only was she detailed about the flowers, but also wanted me to show her the color of the tablecloth, bridesmaids dresses, etc. so she could make sure the flowers coordinated. Sandy rushed in after the 4pm Saturday mass at our church (ended at 5pm) and quickly set up flowers and pew bows for our ceremony and the guests' arrival at 5:10pm. Working with Sandy was the easiest part of my wedding planning. She is so talented, prompt in responding, and she really takes care of you like you're family. I wish I had more events to plan so I could get more flowers from Sandy!

Sandy made our wedding so beautiful! I was most excited about the flowers and she still blew me away once I saw everything! I showered her a few magazines and Pinterest pictures and she knew my style right away! I didn't feel like I needed to keep meeting with her because I could just tell she knew how to make it all perfect-- and she did! She took a swatch of my bridesmaids dresses and found roses the EXACT color! She knew my venue and knew exactly what I needed! It was everything I dreamed of and more!! Sandy is a TREASURE, I was so lucky to find her through my venue, Old Sturbridge Village. She is an absolute pleasure to work with. I didn't have a clear idea of what I wanted, and she did an amazing job with the small amount of input we gave.
The men all had pussy willow boutonnieres, wrapped with twine. They looked great, so rustic and spring-timey! The bridesmaids had tall pussy willow bouquets tied with purple satin ribbons. My mom and my MIL and my husband's grandmother had lovely small "hand-held" bouquets that used some of the same flowers as my bouquet. My bouquet was SO BEAUTIFUL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I had no idea I would ever be so excited about a bouquet but this was super special. She used a mix of dried flowers and fresh, with soft velvety gray-green leaves and a champagne satin ribbon and pearl pins to match my dress.

She also provided a tall tin vase of pussy willows for the ceremony decorations, and for my two 3-year-old ring bearers she provided a bird's nest and tiny twig basket for them to carry- so sweet!!!
She even made me a bouquet to use for the bouquet toss, since I didn't want to damage mine. She also provided decorations for the diner tables- two small vases per table with dried lavendar and pussy willows.

She thought of everything and was a huge sweetheart. I want to adopt her as my grandma. YOU CAN'T GO WRONG WITH THIS AMAZING ARTIST!!!

Sandy was wonderful to work with! We were introduced to her from the Old Sturbridge Village Preferred Vendor List. I didn't have many flowers, but she made what I wanted beautiful. We did simple wine bottle centerpieces with baby's breath and rose petals sprinkled on the tables. We had an outdoor ceremony at OSV with hanging mason jars full of baby's breath on shepherds hooks. Sandy was able to set up the hooks and mason jars for us before the ceremony started. She made the rose bouquets and boutonnieres beautiful, especially my bouquet! I rented GORGEOUS sparkly brooches from Sandy that made my bouquet so special.

I have to admit, flowers were the one thing in my budget that surprised me with sticker shock. After searching around for vendors in the Sturbridge area, I met with one who stated that she could not work within the parameters of what I could afford. Enter Sandy! Sandy was a vendor recommended to me through Old Sturbridge Village. She does a lot of work for their events, and came highly recommended. I contacted Sandy via email and told her what my fiance and I were looking for and how much we had budgeted. She emailed me back in a timely manner and we scheduled a phone conversation. Together, we worked out a plan that fit into my budget, and she was able to work with me to stay within that amount while also ensuring that my vision remained, but also worked with her aesthetic. We also met in person, and I knew that this warm, sweet florist was the one to book!

Sandy made the centerpieces using wooden boxes that my dad had made, and they were GORGEOUS. The bouquets and boutonnieres were beautiful, and so were the tin vases that were used at the ceremony and reception. My husband ordered flowers through her to be delivered while I was getting ready, and the arrangement was impeccably done. I wish that these flowers could've lived forever. They were even prettier than I could have possibly imagined when thinking about how it would all come together.

I would undeniably recommend Sandy to anyone looking for a florist, and wouldn't hesitate to use her again.

I had never seen such amazing and beautiful flower arrangements until the moment I walked into my wedding venue for the first time! Everything was absolutely breathtaking and captured the colors and overall aesthetic I was hoping to accomplish! Sandy was so easy to work with and her visions/creations are nothing short of amazing. When we first met, I had general ideas of what I was hoping my flowers to look like... jewel tones, simple, & rustic. She really helped me hone-in on what the final arrangements should look like and I must say, I could not be happier with her recommendations! Everyone complimented on how beautiful the flowers were. Sandy was AMAZING!! I interviewed a few other florists and I found that everyone else was pretty vague about what kind of flowers they would use, and how they would style the bouquets, and that concerned me because I had a specific sense of what I wanted to have for my flowers (considered DIYing them but then decided to save myself some time/stress). Sandy was great because she was very upfront about what kind of flowers she would use, and I felt she really understood my ideas and was open to making it all work for us. She was also great in working with our budget, but the best part was just how breathtakingly beautiful the flowers were on our day! I was blown away with how gorgeous they were and everyone commented on how perfect the colors and the style were - the look I went for was a classy farmer's market bouquet, and I wanted it to be local and seasonal and bright, and she hit the mark on all fronts! Her work really pulled together the style of our colorful wedding and I now just wish I could order bouquets from her for my home every week! Sandy was absolutely incredible to work with. I wanted all of the centerpieces to have different vases and different arrangements, and she completely understood my vision. Sandra was wonderful to work with. I remember leaving my first meeting with her so excited. She pretty much gave my reception the whole "feel" i wanted and it was perfect. She came up with ideas I never would have thought of. Not only did Sandra do all of my centerpieces which i adored (white birch containers with lots of white flowers - winter wedding). She decorated my whole aisle with candles and fake snow. She put huge white branches by the fireplace with hanging lights and decorated my whole mantle with candles, it was stunning! She exceeded my expectations and is very knowledgeable I highly recommend her!

Sandy did an amazing job with our flowers - seriously, this might have been the only major component of our wedding day that came out absolutely 100% perfect. They were everything I wanted, and they were stunning. Sunflowers mixed with delphinium, baby's breath and yellow buttons. Other great things about Sandy - she worked with us to design a package that would fit into our budget, and she offered very good prices compared to other vendors in the area. She knew our venue - Old Sturbridge Village - very well and was great about tracking down the different places where we needed her to drop off the flowers (for example, we didn't know exactly which room of the hotel the guys were getting ready in in order to deliver the boutonnieres but she found them on her own). I would highly recommend her. A+!!

Sandra Carroll from The Flowering Vine is hands down the best florist in Massachusetts. I met her and her husband at a bridal show and their work displayed was beautiful. My mom and I drove almost 2 hours to meet with her for a consultation and when we arrived she had an entire table set up with my vision and a bouquet. She also went to the venue (1 1/2 away from her store) to take photos of the place and look at the space for ideas, etc. since she had never been there. She did not tell me she was going to do that and I had no idea - we didn't even hire her yet or give her a deposit!! If you do not live in the area, it is worth the drive to her shop!

I told her I wanted a winter wonderland theme and she came up with the most gorgeous high and low centerpieces. She also did the décor and made a beautiful arch for my ceremony. Everyone loved the centerpieces and they really pulled the look together.

My bouquet was everything I dreamed of and more. She did exactly what I wanted and I couldn't have been happier.

I cannot say enough about how amazing this vendor was to work with. Sandra was very flexible and able to meet with me as needed. She was willing to work with my budget and was able to negotiate as needed. The flowers were absolutely beautiful and amazing. They were so much more than I ever expected them to be. We did a Disney themed wedding and Sandra was able to make Mickey heads out of carnations on each table and they were HUGE for the price. She was willing to discuss what I wanted and make my fantasy a reality. I would recommend Sandra to anyone on a budget who is looking for something amazing.

Sandy provided absolutely gorgeous assortment of flowers at my daughter's wedding in Newport, RI. The urns for the ceremony were beautifully filled to exactly what the bride envisioned and made a gorgeous scene for all the pictures. In addition to the ceremony and reception flowers for which the bride had specific ideas, Sandy used her creative talents throughout the 3 other rooms guests could enjoy. We switched from another florist to Sandy because the other florist was very vague with what the centerpieces would like. Sandy was able to show us ideas each time we met with her. I have already recommended her to a friend and will continue to recommend her.

Sandy was a delight to work with! We wanted simple flowers in different sized mason jars and vases and she was able to make our vision come to life! I have received severeal compliments on how beautiful our flowers looked! Sandy helped give us a wonderful wedding with excellent flowers down on Cape Cod, quite a hike for her. She designed gorgeous bouquets and centerpieces and knew exactly what to do and when to do it. We were largely hands off with her, which was great for us to focus on other things. She was prompt at arriving at the venue and had everything set up before groomsmen arrived for the first look and pinned boutonnieres on all of us. She had a beautiful chuppah and scattered flower petals on the ground as a last-second addition, which changed the chuppah from nice to gorgeous.

Sandra did an absolutely AMAZING job on the flowers for our wedding. I wanted a very natural blue & yellow color scheme and she executed my vision perfectly - to the last petal!
She sourced mason jars for the centerpieces and filled them with beautiful sunflowers, geranium leaves, blue delphiniums & queen anne's lace. They were perfect. The girls had gorgeous bouquets that matched the centerpieces. I can't say enough about my bouquet. She used leftover lace from my dress alterations for the base and affixed my grandmother's brooch for a personal touch. The bouquet overflowed with hydrangea, delphiniums, queen anne's lace, yellow buttons & more.
Sandra was very easy to work with and I would highly recommend her services.

We married this year at Old Sturbridge Village & cannot emphasize enough how wonderful Sandy is. I had a very general vision & within the first 5 min of looking at pins, pictures of dresses, suits, etc., she knew exactly what I wanted & how to execute it. Thanks to her floral/design expertise the arrangements & bouquets were more beautiful than I could have imagined--strangers literally shed tears when they saw them!

Throughout working together, Sandy would mention different types of flowers & ideas (they were spot on every time). She seemed just as excited as I was for our wedding & asked about other details in order to tie in floral ideas.

Sandy is incredibly kind & made it easy to voice my ideas/likes/dislikes. She provided guidance to stay within budget, was flexible with last minute adjustments & immediately communicated when anything changed on her end.

Responsiveness--being Type A & hearing horror stories from recently married friends, I emailed Sandy (probably) more than the average bride. I didn't hear back a couple of times, but when I spoke to her, she referenced all of my emails & notes. Don't let the 4.5 deter you--her work is impeccable & everything is under control.

Add'l Perks: Sandy works regularly w/OSV (knows the venue more than any florist I met); has great relationships w/other vendors in the area (works well w/them & can provide insight).

I can't rave enough about Sandy & her work--I had to cut down this review by ~250 words b/c I couldn't stop!

Fantastic, creative florist in Sturbridge

Sandy Carroll at The Flowering Vine arranged the flowers for our wedding at Old Sturbridge Village. We asked for wildflowers to keep with the ambiance of the venue. We sent her some photos to give her an idea of what we had envisioned, but were otherwise not terribly prescriptive. She took our ideas and our colors and created beautiful floral bridal bouquets, wreath centerpieces, boutonnieres, corsages, flowers for the cake, and a chuppah with floral arrangement. It was like she had gotten in our heads and created just the arrangements we were looking for. We would recommend Sandy and The Flowering Vine to anyone getting married in central MA and anyone who wants to get creative and not just have the run-of-the-mill floral arrangements.

Sandy at the Flowering Vine was amazing to work with. She was so warm and personable, working with us to provide exactly what we were looking for. She clearly knows what she is doing, and we would recommend her in a heartbeat. She also provided the huppah for our Jewish wedding ceremony which was absolutely beautiful. We had a rustic themed wedding and she had a birch branched chuppah, and sprinkled white flower petals all around the base of it. It was perfect as were the groomsmen flowers, brides and bridesmaids bouquets. Sandy was also very accommodating when we had a bunch of questions, and had a few last-minute requests for additional flowers.

The flower bouquets and boutonnieres from the Flowering Vine were beautiful. We did not really have a clear idea of what we wanted before our first meeting with Sandy, but after just one in person design meeting, she put together perfect arrangements for the wedding that were just our style. She also gave us a bird's nest for the ring bearer to carry down the aisle (much more exciting for a 4 year old boy than a satin pillow).

We picked The Flowering Vine for our flowers and we could not have been happier. Since our first meeting they listened to what we wanted and they responded. The flowers were awesome just what we wanted. They even made a trial arrangement for us. They went over the top and they thought of everything. The flowers were so good they made my mother cry. It was the only time she cried. If you pick them you will not be disappointed.

My flowers were absolutely what I imagined. The owner and floral designer was very professional and helpful. Her design was beautiful, the flowers were perfect and fresh. Very Beautiful, I would recommend them to a friend.

Flowers were absolutely beautiful and Sandy is very nice/friendly, though difficult to get in touch with her/get a response at times. On the actual wedding day we didn't have to worry at all. Sandy was there when she said she would be and brought what she said she would bring. She returned the following morning to collect the lanterns we had rented for the tables and we didn't have to worry about that at all.
