My cousin worked with Pamela for her wedding last year, and I fell in love with her beautiful and simple arrangements - I knew I had to work with her for my own wedding. After a brief phone conversation, Pamela invited my husband and I to the flower district in the city for a full consultation and walked us through all the different types of flowers, what they mean, and how long they would last in the summer heat during our wedding. We really didn’t know what we wanted for our floral arrangements, but after showing her our color scheme, our venue and discussing our theme, she came up with a beautiful and colorful vision that didn’t break the bank.

When we arrived at our venue on the day of our wedding, the arrangements were BEYOND my expectations. My bouquets was an absolute dream come true, the guys were amazed at their boutonnières (and who would think guys would care much about that?) and our guests had nothing but wonderful things to say about the centerpieces.

Pamela is not only a professional, but so personable, easy to work with and a true artist. She takes great pride in her work, and it clearly shows!

Finding a florist turned out to be one of the hardest things I had to to for our wedding. I had a very specific vision in mind but also a very specific budget and finding one that ticked all the boxes in NY was nearly impossible...until we found Pamela. On our first meeting, she walked me through the Flower District and really paid attention to what flowers and colors I responded to. She offered suggestions and showed me examples of the flowers that she was envisioning, which made things so much easier. Most of all, her pricing was very reasonable, especially for NY prices. Considering the quality of flowers and the types of arrangements we ended up getting on the day of our wedding, her work is worth every penny and more.

The florals at our wedding ended up being one of the highlights of the day - people could not stop commenting about how beautiful my bouquet was or how lush the reception arrangements looked. Hiring Pamela was honestly one of the best decisions we made!

I LOVED my wedding flowers. My favorite part of working with Pamela (at least until we got to the actual wedding day, where she blew me away) was going to the flower market, which we did during our initial consultation. It really helped me visualize the colors and shapes that would be incorporated into my flowers on my wedding day. But like I said, it was on the day of that Pamela completely blew my mind. Not only did she provide an extra boutonniere for my husband (in case his got squished "from hugging", awww), but she gave us a centerpiece for free which we put on the sweetheart table. By the way, that centerpiece is still sitting on my kitchen table at home, because it was just too pretty to part with. She also stayed until the ceremony was over, pitching in to help pin up one of my bridesmaid's hair with flowers, and helping out as I got a particularly bad case of pre-ceremony jitters. She is so personable and thoughtful and really goes the extra mile. Plus, she gives you absolutely beautiful flowers at an excellent value, especially for New York. You will not regret hiring her!!!

Centerpieces Pamela created for my wedding exceeded all my expectations. I wanted fall themed centerpieces but was a little concerned that they will not look romantic enough for the occasion. Well they did. They even had little apples in them. My bouquet and a few extras she added were amazing as well. Pamela seems to really love what she does and it shows in her work. Very happy I found her.

I'm so grateful to Pamela for making my wedding beautiful! From the personal flowers, to the centerpieces, to everything in between, she really did a stellar job. At least two guests asked for her contact information after the wedding hoping to use her at their upcoming events. The bridal and bridesmaid bouquets all looked more beautiful than the photos I provided of what I had in mind. My husband and I don't know much about flowers, but Pamela won our trust at the start when she took us to the flower district and showed us the different possibilities. Truly one of my favorite vendors!

Planning my flowers with Pamela worked out like a dream. She returned phone calls promptly and was very receptive to ideas while sharing her own vision at the same time. We met in the flower market and chatted about what I wanted while browsing through the fresh flowers. I liked way more flowers than was needed in my bouquet, but we were able to settle on an excellent selection. About a week before the wedding, Pamela called to inform me of a change in the arrangment because the type of flower we had agreed on wasn't looking good in the market. I appreciate that she has great pride in her work and made sure that everything looked georgeous.

Hiring Pamela of The Flower Girls was the best decision we made! She is sooooooo talented as well as sweet and caring. Prior to hiring her, we met at the Flower District in NYC to talk through what I wanted.... Colors, types of flowers and overall vibe of the wedding. She was very attentive and creative offering suggestions to compliment my very specific vision. I knew after this meeting that she was the person for us. Her pricing was also very reasonable considering the quality of flowers I requested. We stayed in contact during the months leading up... Sending emails with inspiration photos and details. The day of I was blown away by what she did. She was at the venue at 9am with a huge team putting together my magical room of candlesticks and candelabras with flowers and greens draped and flowing all over the tables. The center pieces and tablescapes were even more beautiful than I had imagined or any Pinterest photo I had sent her. She is truly an artist. And a wonderful person. Pamela even called me the week of just to see how I was doing because she knew in her words "it gets a little hairy the week of" :) What any person, let alone bride wants is to deal with someone that you can trust, is reliable and caring. In hindsight I actually don't think she charged enough for all that she did for us. Don't look any further. Pamela can make your dream wedding come true!

Pamela at The Flower Girls was great; she met us in the flower district to show us what was available and listened to everything we wanted. She was very respectful of our budget as well, and helped steer us away from the most expensive flowers toward some equally pretty ones that fit in our budget. We loved how everything looked in the end, and we didn't have to think about the flowers at all the week of the wedding since she did such a good job setting everything up. I highly recommend working with The Flower Girls.

They were really superb, and made my wedding day at the Alger House in March that much more special. She spent a good deal of time with us, and responded to numerous emails, to make sure that we loved the arrangements. Her budget was very reasonable, and she did her best to keep costs down. She also helped us select a chuppah and decorated it beautifully. Loved my bouquet! Excellent job.

I was lucky enough to have Pamela Cravens with 'The Flower Girls' to do the floral design and decor for my September wedding in Warwick, NY. Because we were so thrilled with the work that she did, we decided to give the gift of her flowers to my father-in-law for his small NYC wedding. Once again, Pamela went above and beyond!

The ceremony and reception were small and casual, and both took place in an Upper West Side restaurant - but Pamela gave them the same attention that she had given to our much larger affair. She went to the venue to familiarize herself with the space, and met with the couple to get a feel for their style. The bride mentioned that she had always loved the delicate bouquet that Caroline Bissett carried when she married JFK Jr., so Pamela researched photos and produced the EXACT same bouquet! Both the bride and groom favor aromatic blooms like freesia and hyacinth - when we walked in for the ceremony, the room was alive with their scent!

This lovely lady is a pleasure to work with and a true artist. Use her for your next NYC event!

Pamela is a wonderful florist, a consummate professional, and also an all-around kind and caring person. She initially met us in the flower district, about 8 months before our wedding. I described to her my vision, my color scheme, and my requests: I knew I definitely wanted dark, deep red roses and succulents (as a nod to my husband's home state of California). She took my ideas and ran with them, suggesting flowers I had never heard of and things I hadn't thought of that were all creative and exciting. I was never concerned about my flowers after this initial meeting; I knew it was in good hands. Any time we needed to reach Pamela with questions or to adjust our proposal, she was very responsive and accommodating.

On the day of, Pamela and her team worked hard to transform the venue into a special and romantic setting. I was blown away by my bouquet; it was everything I dreamed of and more! She installed a gorgeous pussy willow tree, lit up with LED lanterns, in the bar area. It added just the right amount of drama. Since we did not have a traditional wedding cake, she helped to create a special dessert display table covered with flowers. This livened up our minimally decorated cakes and pies. The centerpieces were perfect and the candles and rose petals scattered throughout the venue were the finishing touches. Everyone was very impressed with how it turned out.

You will not be disappointed if you book Pamela as your florist. She has extraordinary vision and talent, and she will help to work within your budget. We are so thankful for everything she did for us; her work made our wedding a beautiful place to be!

One of the best vendors I worked with for my October wedding!! I first met Pamela in the flower district in Manhattan, and I just knew she was the florist for me! Pamela was so sweet and understanding when I told her that I wanted green and orange colors, but that was as far as I knew. I kept explaining to her that I wanted different centerpieces and tons of candles. She completely understood what I wanted (even if I didn't)! She showed me beautiful flowers that I never heard of just based on what I described to her! She was so easy to get in touch with, anytime I had questions or concerns, she responded so quickly to answer everything!
Pamela even wanted to meet with me at my church and reception site in Brooklyn, because she wanted to get an idea of how they looked. She took the train all the way from Manhattan to the very end of Brooklyn! Just that alone, was so impressive!! She is such a perfectionist, wanting to go over every detail to make sure I was completely satisfied!
The day of my wedding, she called me to let me know that everything was going to plan, and not to worry. We must have talked for about twenty minutes! She is such a calming person to have, on a rather hectic day! She asked how I was, if I needed anything, and that she hoped she would see me at some point during the day!
The flowers were GORGEOUS!!! Everyone loved the colors and we all loved our bouquets! The centerpieces were exactly what I wanted. It was such a romantic atmosphere that just fit our wedding perfectly. Pamela even stayed till I arrived at the reception and wanted to make sure I liked all the flowers and if there was anything I would want her to tweak. I couldn't believe she stayed around till I got there! If I could sum up Pamela and the Flower Girls in one word: PERFECT!
P.S.
I found out when I got back from my honeymoon, that the church kept the flowers on the altar for three weeks after my wedding, and all the parishioners loved them too!!

Having Pamela with The Flower Girls do the flowers and décor for my September wedding was the best decision I made after saying yes to my groom!
Our collaboration began with a consultation in which she really got a feel for exactly what we wanted – what type of wedding we would have and who we were as bride and groom. She took copious notes about our venue, my dress, and our plans for the ceremony and reception.
When we began, all I knew is that I wanted “fall colors.” She helped me refine that notion into jeweled tones, natural arrangements, and extremely personalized touches in flower selection – from Fiddle-head Ferns in my bouquet as a nod to my violin-playing fiancé – to Bells of Ireland used in our table arrangements in memory of my grandmother.
Next was a trip to the flower district downtown. Pamela knew every name of every flower I saw! She was obviously well known and respected by each of the vendors we encountered, and knew exactly which shop had the best selection. I left that meeting with a real vision of what I could look forward to on my special day.
Between that day and our wedding, Pamela went out of her way to visit our venue (a new one to her,) and to familiarize herself with the space. On our wedding day, everything was exactly what we wanted! The sconces Pamela used to decorate our outdoor gazebo brightened an unfortunately rainy afternoon… the tables were aglow with those lanterns and jeweled toned arrangements… and my bouquet was – in a word – perfect.
But the real jewel is Pamela herself. On what was a crazy and hectic day, she was a beacon of calm, cool, collected energy I hope that prospective brides who read this can get a feel of how pleased we were with every detail of the floral design and décor that Pamela produced, and how grateful we are to her for her lovely and professional service. I would MOST highly recommend The Flower Girls to any bride in New York City!

Pamela and her team were amazing and I received so many compliments on the centerpieces and the lanterns in the tent. She worked within my budget and really listened to what I was looking for (no other florist I met with suggested a meeting down in the flower district so I can see/touch all the flowers for myself). The arrangements and the decor were truly beautiful and she really thought of everything. The flower arch that we used for the ceremony was such a great touch and addition and her addition of rosemary and lavendar really added to the ambiance of the venue. I couldn't have been happier with my wedding flowers! The bouquets, personal flowers, center pieces and room decorations were more beautiful than expected. I felt that it was a great combination of my preferences and Pamela's vision honed through years of experience.

I secured The Flower Girls seven months before my wedding. During the months of planning I emailed images of flowers to Pamela and she would let me know if they would be in season in August. If they were not, she would give me suggestions of what would be similar. Two months before the wedding we met at the site and brain stormed. A month before the wedding we went to the flower market and I picked out my vases and flowers. I felt totally secure throughout the process that the flowers on my wedding day would be the most unique and beautiful of any florist.

Pamela from The Flower Girls was absolutely incredible to work with from the first time I contacted her. When we first met in the flower district we got to discuss the flowers and vases that I liked there. She accepted as many pictures that I could find as inspirations as well. Everything she made was absolutely beautiful: the bridal bouquet, maid of honor bouquet, 2 mother's corsages, 5 boutonnieres, 2 flower girl baskets, 2 flower pedestals in front of the church, runner with petals, 2 baskets of petals for throwing after the ceremony, 10 small flowers bubbles for the cocktail tables, and gorgeous centerpieces for the reception with flowers also around the cake. Not only were all the flowers beautiful but the attention to all the other details was incredible. The wrapping and jewelry added to the bouquets, the jeweled wristlets for the corsages, the beautifully ribbon wrapped flower girls baskets, the gorgeously decorated baskets for the flower petals to be thrown after the ceremony, the beautiful bubbles in the cocktail hour and then the gorgeous silver holders for our reception centerpieces - Classy and Elegant are an understatement when it comes to Pamela's work. Pamela is kind and really listens, she works with your budget, she is wonderfully creative, and she really executes exactly what you want, which in my opinion, makes her the best in the industry!

I was thrilled with the Flower Girls. They went above and beyond my expectations. Communication, before and after the event was great, which can be the most important thing when you're trying to take care of all the wedding details. The flowers, themselves, were gorgeous, fresh and beautifully arranged, bouquets, table centerpieces and other areas such as rosebuds on the place card table. Pamela was great to work with. I gave her a theme I wanted for the wedding during our initial meeting and she provided some additional ideas that just added to the beauty of it all. She was flexible and accommodating as I had to change my table shapes at the last minute and asked to add some violet to the bridesmaids bouquets. She accomodated these changes without a problem. When I arrived to my venue to see how everything was going Pamela and her team were there to greet me amd show me all their work. Everything from my centerpieces to my bouquet to my place card arrangement & work in and around the venue was gorgeous. I would recommend her highly and would even advise to give her creative license to put together the arrangements as she sees fit. There's so much to worry about when you're planning a wedding. If you hire a professional like Pam and let her do her thing you will not need to worry about your flowers. I'm so glad I hired her!

Talk about a dream come true. Pamela at the Flower Girls exceeded all my expectations. She and I connected at our first meeting, and she was able to visualize exactly what I wanted. Her artistic sense coupled with her eagerness to please is a calming force to any bride. I knew that I could trust her. She took what little guidance I provided her and made a masterpiece. I cannot speak highly enough about Pamela Cravens and The Flower Girls and the artistry that went into the flowers that they designed for my wedding. I was very selective when it came to choosing a florist, and spent a lot of time researching my options. As it turned out, every piece was a work of art, from the bouquets to the boutonnieres to the bracelet corsage for my Grandmother. They surpassed my expectations and looked gorgeous in the photos. Pamela can create for you something much more unique and beautiful than the ubiquitous red roses that everyone gets.

Pamela and the Flower Girls transformed my venue into a romantic and dreamy wedding! We were stuck with two rooms with very different styles that had to be combined to accommodate my guests (one was a glass house garden theme and the other was like a ski chalet!). Pamela listened to my ideas and concerns, and came up with several designs. We tweaked the designs at the sample viewing, and they came out amazing on the day!

I also had a chuppah that needed to be carried during the ceremony. THANK GOD Pamela stayed during the "practice run" an hour before the wedding because the groomsmen broke it!!! She fixed it on the spot, and taught the groomsmen how to carry it properly.

She is extremely thoughtful and even helped me pack up after the wedding (for a very reasonable fee). She is also very conscious of my budget and did everything she could to keep it within my cost constraints.

Thank you Pamela, everyone is still raving about your great work!

Flowers are particularly important to me, so Pamela Cravens, with The Flower Girls, was one of the first vendors we booked. We met at our venue one Saturday afternoon and as she described her plan to merge my vision with the space and the season, I felt my blood pressure decrease. She got it. It is with deepest and utmost thanks that I write this review of The Flower Girls. I could not have been more thrilled to work with such a professional, attentive and creative floral designer. The flowers at our wedding were elegant and simple and our guests continue to rave about them.

Pamela did an excellent job, given that we only gave her less than 6 months time! The flowers were incredible and reflected our tastes so well. After working with Pamela I will never look at wedding arrangements the same - she made me realize how important flowers are!

Pamela is truly amazing and so easy to work with. I loved going to the Flower District with her to pick out what I liked (and didn't like) - and she really listened. That's part of her secret sauce. I honestly did minimal research on her because my gut told me she knew what she was doing. Boy was I right. She did such a beautiful job with every detail large and small. And a day or two before the wedding when I realized there were a few things we needed last minute that we hadn't anticipated, she was on it and said not to worry. I didn't. Can't beat that. The arrangements she created for our wedding were gorgeous and set the tone for the event that we wanted, and it was perfect. I'd hire her again in a heartbeat for any floral or event decor!

It was such a pleasure working with Pamela to ensure that we had beautiful bouquets, boutonnieres, and wrist corsages. We met a few months prior to the wedding on "Flower Row" in Manhattan. She has so much knowledge of flowers for each season and had great input for which flowers to lean towards for my fall wedding. Pamela also really respected my tight budget which I cannot appreciate enough. She put together beautiful bouquets with different color calla lilies and these very vibrant purple flowers (can't remember the name but they made quite the statement) for myself and my bridesmaids. We received many compliments on how lovely they looked with our dresses. Truly, the perfect and most extraordinary fall bouquets I have ever seen!

What can I say, the flowers by Pamela Cravens and her Flower Girls team were so stunning, guests didn't even wait till the very end of the wedding to snatch them up! I had a very difficult blue palette and Pamela made this happen for me. She personally took me to the flower markets so there would be no confusion about what I wanted. The bouquets she made for myself and my bridal party were just wonderful. And my bouquet had beautiful beaded details on the wrap that I wasn't even expecting. She was prompt, the flowers were wonderfully fresh and vivid and frankly the price was fantastically in my budget (and I had a small budget!) I am only taking away half a star because she does not accept credit cards, I prefer to charge whenever I can. But really in a perfect world I would ignore that.

Our wedding flowers came out beautiful, and Pamela made everything so easy for us. I saved some photos with my ideas and then met with Pamela in the Chelsea flower market. Based on my inspiration pictures, she showed me what I was looking for, and then provided more ideas of flowers and greenery that would be complimentary. She is very knowledgeable and creative – and helped me to find flowers that were in season, kept with my theme, and stayed within my budget. We were extremely happy with the ceremony and reception décor, and the bouquets and boutonnieres came out perfect. Pamela even had the foresight to make an extra boutonniere for my husband since his first one got smooshed from all the hugs!

I am so happy I choose The Flower Girls for my wedding! A few months before the wedding, my husband and I met Pamela in the flower district so we could look at flowers and she could get a feel for what we wanted. I felt like I didn't articulate my thoughts well, yet somehow, Pamela understood exactly what we were looking for. When I saw the flowers the day of my wedding I was stunned! They were vibrant and elegant and completed EXCEEDED my expectations. All of the bouquets and centerpieces were similar, yet all slightly different, which I absolutely loved. I highly recommend working with this vendor!

As it is drawing near to my husband and I's anniversary, I was going through my wedding wire profile and reminiscing. I was so disappointed that a review I had written for my florist obviously didn't download! So here is another review for the best vendor for your wedding flowers and your ceremony and reception decor! Pamela Cravens of The Flower Girls was a Godsend. She was recommended by our wedding venue as they have worked with her in the past. I had been planning a NYC wedding while living out of state. My husband could be of only so much help as he was stationed with the Navy in Sicily. But Pamela was patient and thorough, offering plenty of visual aides and ideas through email. She was attentive to my needs and all of my preferences and requests. She stayed true to our theme and color scheme. Pamela listened to our budget and without sacrificing quality, was able to provide a very elegant and lush ambiance. The ceremony was warm, intimate and colorful; glowing with candles, soft petals leading the way down the aisle, and beautiful and full bouquets in hand. Our table settings looked regal and rich! She gave us everything we could have asked for. I actually cried with happiness before the ceremony even began when I walked in the venue and saw the magic that had taken place. Even with all the planning, and the pictures, and the many talks, I had no idea it was going to turn out that amazing. Again, this was such a deserved review, I only wish it had stuck the first time I wrote it almost a year ago. The Flower Girls will not disappoint you! Thanks again Pamela for everything!

Pamela Cravens, from The Flower Girls was nothing but professional, not to mention, extremely knowledgeable about every flower in the flower district, which was where we met for our first meeting. She walked us through multiple shops, pointing out different flowers and suggestions for combinations that might work for our theme and other colors in our wedding. This was challenging because the date was fairly close and I still hadn't had my bridesmaids dresses picked out yet and therefore was not yet sure what color they would be. Throughout it all, Pamela kept an open mind and worked with me as I updated her with the color scheme of the wedding as it was developing. On our wedding day, she was already there, setting up when we arrived and with everything else going on then and to keep track of, it was great that I could just let her do her thing and not have to worry about anything! I would highly recommend her!

I did my wedding flowers with Pamela at The Flower Girls. She did a fantastic job for me. My wedding theme color was pink/ivory, and she decorated the reception place using combination of pink and ivory orchids, transforming the place into a very beautiful, scenic place. Everyone loved it!

Pamela was really great with my husband and I. She took us to the flower district to get a feel of what we wanted for our rooftop wedding. She was well worth the money (super affordable too!) and I'm glad she stuck with her guns to continue to have a roof top wedding regardless of what others thought of the weather the day of our wedding. She knows what she's doing! She's really nice and great! The only thing that I could change which is really minor overall in the end because everything turned out perfect for our wedding was the rose heart hanging above the iron gate for our ceremony. It's not my style. Our garland was beautiful but it looked a little loop sided hung on the gate on one side. It was the first two things I noticed when I walked out of the elevator down the aisle. AGAIN, SUPER MINOR for me but considering I'm a fashion visual manager I tend to notice things. Our centerpieces and the flowers for our cake were BEAUTIFUL! I wish I could have kept my bouquet but we were traveling to get married in NYC where we used to live but currently live in Vegas now.

I reached out to Pamela following a great recommendation I received from our wedding planner. She was so professional and scheduled a time to meet with me at the flower district in Manhattan to allow me to get a better sense of what I like, given that I don't quite understand flowers. She walked me through everything and was very helpful and informative. Pamela worked with me to get what I wanted within my budget. She really has an eye for maximizing your flowers with the budget you set. The only thing I wish I would have done differently is perhaps shown her a color scheme on paper of what I wanted because some of the "blush" shades I had requested turned out a little too pink for my taste. Overall I would recommend Pamela as a trustworthy and professional florist with great service and value.

Pamela was a delight to work with and her flowers were beautiful. She understood what we wanted and really delivered. One of the things that really meant alot to me and surprised me was that she brought all of the beautiful flowers to the venue and arrranged them there; there weren't any arrangements that were done before the party. Everything was fresh and beautiful and she was so efficient. No mistakes. Perfect!

My husband and I were very happy with the floral arrangements that Pamela and her team at The Flower Girls created. Pamela listened to how we wanted the look and feel of our wedding to be and she executed it perfectly. She created such a unique and beautiful atmosphere and we couldn't have been happier!

Pamela was understanding of our vision, patient with my requests, very reasonable cost, and beautiful vibrant end result! She works with you, guides you, and you don't have to worry (really), you're in good hands. You get to go to the flower market and see flowers and discuss your likes/dislikes in person. it's a great way to see things in person and have the dialog.
