PR Wedding Officiant Who Loves What She Does

Rev. Ogla is following her passion and it shows. She traveled from Vieques to San Juan for our wedding. On our first phone call, we didn't know what to expect. Rev Ogla took the time and effort to get to know us and put us at ease. From that point, we knew that she was the perfect officiant for us. Everyone remarked how much they enjoyed the ceremony because it was so personalized to us. After the ceremony, Rev Ogla helped us fill out our paperwork for our marriage license from Puerto Rico. I would highly recommend her.

Exceptional

Hiring Ogla as our officiant was the smartest thing we did for our wedding in Puerto Rico. She's responsive, professional, kind, really listens to your needs, and remains positive about sun even when it rains the entire week of your wedding. Getting married in P.R. isn't necessarily the easiest and she made the process so much easier for us and helped us get through all the red tape. She created the most incredibly ceremony that moved our family to tears. Thank you, Ogla for making our day so incredibly special!

Rev Ogla is first class. She guided us through the paperwork process and helped secure appointments upon arrival to Vieques. Rev Ogla was professional, very responsive and took a personal approach for our ceremony by getting to know us beforehand. She is truly exceptional and give her the highest recommendation.

Great wedding

Ogla was an amazing host. She helped us get all the paper work together. She pointed us in the right direction and even had a few ppl help us since we was not familiar with PR. I would definitely refer her to future couples who are looking to get married in PR. she is nice kind and willing to work with you to make your wedding memorable.

Olga is an incredible officiant!

Olga was amazing from start to finish. She was incredibly positive, receptive, reliable and responsive. She made us feel very comfortable throughout the process and when a natural disaster interfered with our ability to obtain our license, she immediately gave us options. She created the perfect ceremony for us! We totally recommend Olga without any reservation.

Wonderful ceremony

Rev. Ogla is amazing! I recommend her to anyone looking to get married in Puerto Rico. Our experience was great. Ogla contacted us before the wedding to get to know us and created ceremony that was personal to us. She's personal and professional. On the wedding day she arrived early to make sure everything goes smooth at the ceremony and even stayed late for additional mini ceremony at the reception dinner. And lastly, she's also helped us to get a marriage certificate mailed to the US. Overall great experience.
We're very thankful to Ogla for being our officiant!

Professional and intimate

Ogla took the time to get to know my husband and I before hand so our vows would be meaningful. She even took great consideration into our beliefs and the verbiage in which we were comfortable with so that our vows were tailored completely to us and no one else. She was flexible with our elopement dates and even picked up our certificate for us since we were not local.
Ogla was very attentive to my wants as an eloping bride. She kept into consideration the fact that I wasn’t going to have anyone with me and was willing to do whatever to make my vision come true. If I could do it over again, I would still choose Ogla.

Olga made us feel So comfortable and confident she would do a great job! She did a wonderful job! I would go back to her every time. I didn’t have a lot of input on what we wanted aside from simple, she listened to us and our stories and made a wonderful service for us. It couldn’t have been better!

Perfect Officiate for the perfect day.....

Ogla was amazing! She schedule time with us for a personal interview to get to know us. Her service was a perfect representation of our feelings and love for each other! It was as if she knew us. We had an unusual circumstance that caused us to reschedule our trip. She was very accommodating and adjusted to the new date. She provided some great suggestions. Her service brought tears to our eyes. She cared enough to make the service personal. Her process to ensure you have all the required documents to obtain your license was spot on. She met us at the Demographic Office on Vieques to walk us through completing all the necessary paperwork for our marriage license. No need to look any other further. You will not be sorry!

Olga really made our wedding special. She took the extra time to personalize the ceremony to really make it ours. I highly recommend her. I felt so lucky to have her there and to make it such a special evening.

We highly recommend Olga. Since we had a destination wedding, we were not able to meet she until the day of the wedding. Despite that, she did a great job of getting to know us over the phone and making the ceremony feel very personable and unique to us. Additionally, she has a very peaceful and joyful disposition that added a wonderful vibe to our wedding (and helped calm our nerves). We couldn’t be happier.

Ogla was incredible every step of the way. We were denied by other officiants because we are a same sex couple. For Olga, she said her only requirement was that we love each other and both want to take the next step into marriage. This was an amazing response that immediately put us at ease and we knew we could trust her. Ogla was able to create a perfect ceremony that truly represented our love. Our guests were talking about how special the ceremony was all night! She included our family members and was able to speak in both English and Spanish to accommodate both sides. She was reliable and always responded almost immediately to all of our questions. Ogla also guided us through the marriage license process which was a little daunting for us, but her patience and guidance got us through! We highly recommend Ogla - she is amazing!

Ogla was EVERYTHING we could have hoped for and more. No need to look any further! I first want to start out by saying Ogla was the best decision we made when it came to our wedding. We received more compliments on our ceremony then anything else. It was so personalized, that people thought we knew her prior to our wedding. There wasn't a dry eye in the house! She even went over and above to help us get our documents expedited for military needs. Being a lesbian, we were initially apprehensive looking for an officiant, but Ogla was very disarming and made the whole process and enjoyable experience!

I had no idea what to expect when searching for an officiant for our destination wedding. When I came across The Exceptional Wedding on Wedding Wire, the first thing I immediately sought to were the great reviews. I prayed and hoped that the reviews were accurate. Rev. Olga was our officiant. She was everything I hoped she would be. She took the time to speak with my husband and I prior to our wedding to hear our love story and get a great sense of our love. She asked all the right questions to make sure that should could deliver a beautiful ceremony and that she did!!!

We also used her services to get our marriage certificate. When I received our certificate, I noticed there was a mistake on my husband's birthday. Rev. Olga made sure to get it corrected and mailed us the new certificate.

Overall, we had an amazing experience with Rev. Olga. Even our wedding guest and bridal party raved about how great and heartfelt our ceremony was!

On April 11th our daughter was married on escambron beach in Puerto Rico by the most amazing, accommodating, and sweetest woman named Ogla Silva. Ten months before we were to arrive for the wedding we contracted with Ogla and she never disappointed. She was so helpful in every aspect of planning, as we live in ny. She even went above and beyond by ordering and picking up a cake for us. Wow!! We definitely chose right! Ogla, discreetly let me know that she hadn't received my payment in the mail. She was so professional and worked with us. I have nothing negative to say about Ogla. I highly recommend her services.

Ogla is amazing! We had many questions since we've never been to PR and she was always quick to answer them all. We had two conference calls where she asked us what we wanted in our ceremony and about our relationship. She listened to all our requests, like making sure to include my 9 yr old as part of the ceremony and specific music. She also added many special touches with the unity candle, a Bible verse we requested, a beautiful speech of her own, and even brought my daughter flowers. I was amazed by her flexibility as we got married in the middle of the rainforest. She even helped me tie my corset backing of my dress. Thank you Ogla for making our day go so smooth and memorable! It was a blessing to meet you!!!

We didn't have a lot of time and found Ogla. She responded quickly, and made finalizing our wedding stress-less. After just a couple of phone calls with us, she had a very unique and appropriate ceremony just for us. I was worried, as we didn't even go over it before hand, but everything went very smoothly. Just stop looking and talk/book to Ogla so she can be your wedding officiant. We cannot be more than happy that she was our officiant. Since the beginning she was very accommodating to our questions and requests and she really tailored the content of our ceremony to be very particular to our story. The ceremony itself was beautiful (every single word) and we got compliments from every guest saying that it was the best ceremony that they witnessed in their life! The day of the event she arrived to the venue 3 hours before and made sure that everything was in place, a true professional. The communication with here is excellent. We cant recommend her enough! Thanks to Ogla our wedding started beautifully.

In considering Reverend Ogla Silva for your special day, don't hesitate. You should book her right away. My experience was exceptional. She had a meeting with me and my groom by phone within a week prior to our wedding. She asked really good probing questions about why we fell in love. She took this information and used it to create a unique experience for our wedding. You could tell she was really experienced in officiating weddings. She made the ceremony interesting and fun...an exceptional wedding!

I knew Ogla was right for us after our 1st call. The soft tone of her voice, the questions she asked of us, her attention to details was just what we were searching for...someone who generally cared about her clients. Olga takes the time to get to know her clients in order to create personally touching vows for the most important day of your lives. We completed a questionnaire and after that Ogla set up a conference call with us where she got to know us even more. We loved the vows she created especially for us! Our guests loved them too! Ogla also was very helpful with obtaining the necessary government stamps required for obtaining and filing our license..saving us that extra step. Communication with Ogla was seamless and a pleasure. Thank you Ogla!

We just had our wedding a couple weeks ago and wanted to make sure we put up a review about Ogla as soon as possible. We had such a great experience with her! She was very reasonable in her costs, she is extremely responsive to questions/emails, and importantly, she was very flexible to help us out when we needed it. For example since we are currently living in the US, we ended up paying her some extra money to cover the marriage license stamp fees, and she was kind enough to go to the administrative offices, buy the required stamps, and mail them to us. This saved us a LOT of time when we were on the island for the actual wedding. She was very helpful in what we needed to do with respect to the demographics office, etc. to actually get the certificate. She was very flexible in terms of how we wanted the ceremony to be done, but still wrote her own beautiful story for us. About a month before the wedding, we had a phone call where she got to know more about us, how we met, what we love about one another, etc. And it really showed in what she said during the ceremony. She clearly customizes each ceremony. In conclusion, we highly recommend Ogla for any couples' ceremonies - she was honestly one of the easiest "vendors" to work with throughout our entire wedding planning process. While with other vendors we constantly had to push for replies and deliverables, it was the opposite with Ogla. She was the one gently reminding us of the things we had to do to make sure it all went smoothly, and we really appreciate that.

Ogla was exceptional. She took the time to speak with us to get to know our love story and incorporated every aspect of our relationship in the ceremony. She made our ceremony incredibly special and personal. Her words were kind, loving, and warm. Us and our guests could not stop raving about how well the ceremony was preformed and how great Ogla is.

Anyone who knows Puerto Rico, knows that there are hundreds of beautiful beaches. Ogla drove to the beach (arrived early!) of our choice in Rincon (which was not a quick or easy route no matter where she drove from).

If we had questions, she was there to answer them. She is incredibly responsive by email and text message. This was especially helpful because I am a worrisome law student. After the ceremony she took care of all of the necessary steps to have our marriage license recorded with the State.

We are incredibly fortunate to have come across her. If you are deciding on who should be your officiant on your special day, PLEASE contact Ogla. She is beyond words amazing!

We had our doubts when planning a "destination wedding", but Ogla put all those doubts to rest. She responded in a timely manner, communicated effectively, arrived early, and delivered a ceremony that we will never forget (all for a fraction of the price for other officiants). There's no telling how our wedding day would have gone if we hired someone else, but as for my wife and I, we are very thankful we chose The Exceptional Wedding to carry out our ceremony. Prior to our arrival in Puerto Rico, we had phone conversations with Ogla so that she could personalize our ceremony that spoke deep truths about our relationship (as opposed to many officiants who just read off of a script). We locked in a date and Ogla took care of the rest! For stressfree wedding planning that allows for a beautiful ceremony, choose the Exceptional Wedding!

My future wife found Olga after a long search for someone to marry us on Culebra Island. She was worried that nobody would be willing to travel all the way there and the date was getting close. Olga was not only willing to travel for the wedding, but also included travel to the demographic office to meet us to complete the paperwork in her fee. We ended up finding a way for a friend to marry us, but can not thank Olga enough for all of the help and piece of mind she gave us. I have no doubt that the ceremony would have been perfect and highly recommend Olga.

Olga was fantastic to work with and I am so glad I found her! She is highly responsive and flexible with our wedding being on the island of Culebra. She was willing to travel to Fajardo to complete paperwork with us, and then again travel to the island the day of the wedding. By my count, that is over 6 hours on a ferry... and her price was so reasonable that we planned to tip her 100% the day of the wedding. We were able to find a way for someone we know to legally marry us, and Olga was fantastic about it. I insisted that she keep our deposit for being so wonderful. The reduced stress level was worth it alone. I am 100% positive that Olga will help give you the ceremony of your dreams. She is a lovely woman who really cares to get to know you and will make it a smooth process from beginning to happily ever after.

I would recommend Ogla. She is Excellent in what she does. She is flexible I was 2 hours late and she was still there with a smile and an open heart. We love Ogla! She went above and beyond to make our day special. She took the time to get to know us and our story. She did a fantastic job incorporating our children into the service. It was perfect! We were truly blessed to have found Ogla! We had our wedding on Flamenco Beach which meant Ogla had to take 2 ferries to get there. She also had to endure my golf cart driving abilities in order to get to the beach. She was a true champ through it all and never once lost her beautiful smile! I highly highly recommend her if you are looking for someone to give you the ceremony of your dreams! She has a heart of gold and personality to match! Ogla was very efficient and responsive to all our questions. Ms Ogla was exceptional. She was very attentive and very knowledgeable. She will come to where ever you are on the island an marry you. She is a woman of her word, if she says she will do something she will. We had the PLEASUE of getting married during the great power outage in Puerto Rico, we had no power Ogla came out to us and we decided to postpone the ceremony to the following day which was a 2hour drive for her. She came out to us again the following day to marry us for no extra charge. She performed beautiful a memorable ceremony. She took her time and included special details about myself and my wife and our son in the ceremony which made it even more special. Even after our ceremony Ogla helped us if we had any questions about things to do and see on the island. Ogla was very welcoming and treated us like family. I give her 10 stars. Perfect. If I had to do it again I would definitely choose Ms Ogla.

Working with Ogla Silva was amazing, my ceremony was absolutely perfect. From the minute I contacted her she was so friendly and helpful no matter the time or day. I appreciated how easy she made my ceremony and how she was able to make it so meaningful for us. I would recommend her in a heartbeat. We don't live in Puerto Rico nor speak Spanish and she was always phone call away ready to handle any situation that arised.

We used Ogla for our service in Vieques and we couldn't have been happier. She is very responsive and takes a lot of time to get to know you as a couple in order to make your day as special and as you as possible. She was great with our 6 year old son and even watched him while we took some couple photos down the beach with the photographer. Her ceremony was personal and exactly what we were looking for. She was available when we needed and very easy to get ahold of. She has a very calming and inclusive approach which we both really valued. We can not speak highly enough of Ogla and would recommend her to anyone looking to get married on Vieques.

My bride and I had never been to Vieques. We met Ogla via conference call and we both knew immediately she was the perfect officiant for us. She was caring and compassionate and spent a great deal of time with us. She put us at ease about the entire process. Then a week before our ceremony I sent an additional request to her for musical accompaniment and she not only said "no problem", she nailed it with the amazing "Duo Alma". Then 45 minutes prior to our service we had to change venues and I made a call to Ogla and she put me immediately at ease, again. She said she would take care of it and had everything set up in a beautiful part of the beach and my bride was thrilled. If you go get married, go to Vieques and if you get married in Vieques then use the Exceptional Wedding! Thank you so much Ogla, Barry, and Duo Alma!

Ogla was an amazing officiant for April 2016 wedding in Vieques, Puerto Rico. She was easily reachable and always available to answer any questions that I had in the planning process. She also took the time to get to know the both of us before our wedding in order to make it a very personal and beautiful ceremony. Not only was the ceremony perfect, but she also helped so much in the legal wedding process in Puerto Rico. It would have been a disaster to try to navigate the legal requirements without her! She did a wonderful job overall and I couldn't recommend her enough to others getting married in Vieques!!

Ogla was amazing. She made our ceremony special and was beyond accommodating. Though we were super busy planning our wedding and not as responsive as every client should be she kept in touch and was patient with us. We loved working with Ogla! We recently eloped in Vieques at Navio Beach. Ogla was the ultimate professional from day one. She promptly responded to e-mails and answered any questions we had. Ogla took the time to speak with us by telephone (twice) to learn about who we are, enabling her to truly personalize our ceremony.
Ogla advised us on all of the requirements to get our marriage license. We sent her money in advance to purchase the required Internal Revenue Stamps, which she had with her when we met her at the demographic office. Ogla effortlessly walked us through the process of obtaining our license (which was ready for us to pick up before we left Vieques).
Ogla was flexible when we changed the location of our ceremony and brought her partner, Barry with her to be one of our witnesses. Barry was kind enough to videotape our ceremony with our ipad, providing us with video that we truly cherish.
At our ceremony, Ogla delivered beautiful words that captured our love and who we are as a couple. She had clearly put thought and time into crafting just the right words for our ceremony.
Ogla has a beautiful way about her that makes you feel connected to her. I highly recommend Ogla as an officiant for your wedding. You won’t find anyone better.

Ogla wrote a beautiful and personalized ceremony for my husband and I... it definitely was not a standardized ceremony, it was perfectly fit to us and our relationship. Ogla was available throughout the planning process, always responded quickly and with kindness. We had the privilige of having Ogla Silva officiate our wedding. We were married on Leap Year day at the W Retreat and Spa in Vieques, PR, and Ogla was just wonderful! We just married in the beautiful Island of Vieques, Puerto Rico.

Since our ceremony-I have been searching for words to describe everything..but I just can't put together how moving an experience it was for us. I wish there were more people in the world like Ogla-patient and kind, a gift to humanity...we would not have been able to accomplish our wish of getting married in Vieques without her. I wish for every couple wanting a truly soul moving & thought provoking vow exchange to have the experience we did. getting actually married in Vieques, Puerto Rico and not just doing the ceremony requires a lot of forms and interaction with the government officials. Mrs. Silva offered her services to help facilitate the process and do the ceremony at a very nominal fee and made the process go so much smoother rather then to try to handle it ourselves. if this is the avenue you choose to take, then I strongly recommend you contact her. you will not be disappointed.

the ceremony itself was all we could have asked for. it was fashioned so as to be personal and the vows were written just for us using info garnered from the few questions she had asked of us. we wanted a more old fashion, kind of a flowerchild type of ceremony and our desires were met totally. we could not have been more please. Ogla worked with us for months beforehand, hammering out the details of our ceremony over the telephone and via e-mail. Always responsive, Ogla was with is all of the way. Throughout the process of planning our wedding on Vieques, Ogla was able to offer us location suggestions, vendor options, and ceremony options. She even sent us a draft of the ceremony she had written for us, so that we could review it in advance and offer our input. Ogla helped us to understand and file all of the necessary paperwork throughout the process, working with us at the demographic office both before and after our wedding day to ensure that all legal filings were done properly!

We couldn't have achieved such an excellent wedding day without Ogla's help. Through all of the planning she was always patient, understanding and let us call the shots. She was an asset to us in so many ways, going above and beyond her role as officiant.

We had a wonderful experience with Dr. Ogla Silva--we cannot recommend her enough. Dr. Silva performed an extremely moving ceremony on the beach in complete consideration of our wishes. I don't have enough wonderful things to say about Ogla. She is truly amazing. Leading up to our wedding, she was open, communicative, and responsive to any comments or concerns we had. She sent us copies of the ceremony that she had written out for us and allowed us to make any comments or suggestions. During our actual ceremony, she did an incredible job. She was so powerful, spiritual, and lovely-- everyone was absolutely amazed by her. All of the groomsmen were in tears!!! Additionally- I found out after the wedding that our event coordinator showed up ten minutes after the wedding was supposed to begin, and Ogla helped my mother in a pinch! I highly recommend Dr. Ogla Silva without any hesitation or doubts. If she officiates your wedding, you will be so incredibly pleased with her. We love her!

If we could give Ogla 100 stars, we would.

After having a traumatic and potentially disastrous incident with another wedding officiant in Vieques, Ogla was a true angel and COMPLETELY saved our big day.

My now-husband and I reached out to her only 2 weeks (yes...2 weeks!) before our wedding in a complete panic. Thankfully she was available on our wedding date, but not only was she available-- she went above and beyond her call of duty.

The first officiant we spoke with did not even ask for my husband's name, let alone what type of ceremony we had in mind for the big day. Ogla, however, wished to write a unique ceremony for us. She wanted to know how we met, what we saw in one another, and why we decided to marry.

Ogla eased our fears. Naturally, we were a bit nervous to get married legally in Puerto Rico (we are from NYC)-- but Ogla made the whole process easy and breezy, even meeting us at the Demographic office to handle the legal matters on our behalf.

She is also not "on island time," which we found super refreshing. She answered all questions/texts/emails/phone calls in an timely manner. We never questioned her.

The ceremony Ogla wrote and performed was simply gorgeous. Reading it for the first time brought tears to our eyes.

We cannot recommend Ogla and her services enough. She is a true professional and will genuinely care about you, your significant other and your ceremony.

I share what other reviewers have said about Ogla's responsiveness and her invaluable assistance with the marriage license. What stood out most to my husband and I, though, was her thoughtful and personalized wedding ceremony that spoke perfectly to our relationship and personalities. I like to say that we're not "wedding people"—we didn't want anything too formal, too traditional, or even too emotional. Ogla listened and understood (probably difficult enough in itself as a wedding officiant!) and surprised us with a ceremony that was incredibly meaningful and also perfectly tailored to us. Our family members as well repeatedly praised the ceremony. In addition, we're currently dealing with a small correction on our marriage license that Ogla is facilitating for us as well. Our ceremony was beautiful! Even though we live far away, Ogla got to know us and wrote a personalized ceremony, that fit us very well. We had a request for a special ritual, which she performed exactly how we wanted.

She was very accommodating and hospitable.
