Exceptional service!
We highly recommend The Event if you’re getting married at a resort! Samuel is incredibly responsive, professional, and genuinely helpful. He went above and beyond to accommodate all of our requests, and his pricing is so reasonable for the outstanding quality of service provided.
The mariachi band we hired for our ceremony was absolutely incredible, they created such a beautiful atmosphere and made the moment even more unforgettable.
Our DJ was fantastic and kept the dance floor full all night long, bringing amazing energy right up until the very last song. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience! -

We truly could not have asked for a better DJ for our wedding. From the moment they arrived, everything felt effortless. They were on time, set up incredibly quickly, and required very little direction—which is huge on a day where there are already a thousand moving pieces.
We had a small but very lively group and requested a karaoke setup along with a simple, flexible reception schedule. They absolutely nailed it. The transitions between epic dance music and guest-requested karaoke songs were seamless, keeping the energy high and the night flowing naturally without ever feeling forced.
They completely understood the vibe we were hoping for and helped create a fun-filled, joy-packed evening that felt authentic to us and our guests. The dance floor stayed alive, the laughter never stopped, and the night unfolded perfectly.
I truly could not praise them enough if I tried. If you’re looking for a DJ who is professional, adaptable, intuitive, and genuinely invested in making your event unforgettable—look no further. -

Absolutely AMAZING experience!
The Event Cancún absolutely crushed it at our wedding. Samuel was amazing to work with — friendly, professional, fully bilingual in English and Spanish, and he made us feel completely at ease throughout the whole process, which meant so much since we live in the U.S. (a country away). He mixed our favorite songs with super fun Mexican music that kept the dance floor packed all night — our guests literally danced the entire time! The lighting and wooden dance floor made everything feel next level. We also rented the photo booth and it was a HUGE hit — the costumes were hilarious and people could not stop using it. The whole experience felt like an incredible value and an unforgettable party. Could not recommend them more!

Best wedding ever!
Samuel and his team really know how to throw a fantastic party! They were super flexible with my delayed time lines and they still accommodated every one of my requests! They also played a vast variety of music from my playlist, which added to the party. It even got my husband’s family and friends on the dance floor and they don’t dance at weddings! Please book them! It will not be a mistake. -

Working with the crew from event was fantastic being in the DJ industry in my early 20s. I was very picky about the services that I wanted. I provided Sam with specific playlists of what had to be played what I did not want played and they did a fantastic job of sticking to the script. The mixing was great and the mc was great. I would highly recommend to anyone looking for a DJ if you’re getting married in Cancun or the surrounding areas. -

What can I say about the Event Cancún but... WOW! This company went way beyond our expectations. Sam, the head operator, was very attentive and extremely responsive. Any question or request I had was immediately responded to within the hour. He was a joy to collaborate with and helped us plan and get everything we wanted while staying within budget. The set-up crew were all very professional, organized, and quick to adapt to a heavy rainstorm; they made sure our string light decor was perfect for our reception; and the MCs/DJs followed our playlists to a tee, and made all of our events run seemlessly. I could not have been happier with the way everything went. My husband and I HIGHLY recommend this company, you will not be disappointed! SAM, YOU'RE THE BEST!! -

Samuel and his team were very easy to work with and organized leading up to the event. We made some last minute changes the day of the wedding and he rolled with everything so easily. Amazing Night @ Dreams Playa Mujeres
Hiring The Event Cancun for my mom’s 50th Birthday was the best decision I could’ve made. Samuel was super helpful with all my questions since first contacting him and through out the whole process ! Unfortunately the resort was giving him a hard time but that did not stop him, he and his staff made our party have a way better outcome than expected ! Professional, organized, and kept the energy high
The Event Cancun provided excellent sound and dj service at an affordable price at our wedding. We got married at Dreams Jade on 4.14.23. We had 175 people at our wedding and had two wedding ceremonies. The Event Cancun (we worked closely with Sam) provided enough sound for all of our guests to hear during the ceremonies and offered us suggestions that were extremely helpful to make the ceremonies run smoothly and fun (e.g. color bombs for an Indian ceremony). For the reception, I was surprised at how many people stayed on the dance floor the whole night! They did such a great job! Plus the team as a whole is extremely organized and friendly. Sam from The Event was an incredible part of our extravagant Wedding Weekend
Working with Sam for our wedding as a US-based couple was absolutely incredible! Not only does he offer incredible services for entertainment, performances and a DJ, but he was also the most communicative and responsive vendor that we worked with for our entire Wedding Weekend which had several events. We curated a complete entertainment package with Sam including a Brazilian Batucada, Fire Show, Water Drums, a DJ, MC, and an Hora Loca. It was amazing to work with Sam- one person to coordinate multiple aspects of entertainment for our wedding instead of contacting several vendors for all the services we wanted and paying multiple vendor fees. Sam’s command of English and Spanish was phenomenal and he made himself available to meet with us whenever we needed via WhatsApp to answer any questions for an entire year. Our wedding reception was an absolute dream due to all of our performances and Sam’s attention to detail the entire night. We were very pleased with The Event Cancún! Samuel was very responsive, and made us feel comfortable in booking him from the start! We had so many issues with the DJ that the resort provided and knew we had to hire an outside vendor.
We had Gustavo & Armando help out and they truly knew how to party. Our guests still rave about how amazing they were and the great music they played. We gave them free range as to the music played and we were not disappointed!! :)

Playa Mujeres Wedding
Where to start?!
Every family member and friend that came to our wedding raves about our reception. I cannot tell you a time when less than 85% of the group was not on the dance floor. There was never a dull moment or weird transition. The flow of the reception, the lights and dance floor, speeches and timing of events was absolutely perfect. I could not have dreamed of professionalism and FUN like what was delivered.

Satisfied with Great Service
My wedding was at Hotel XCARET 8/14/22 & I couldn’t be more satisfied with the service provided by The Event Cancun. The DJ fit right in and danced /entertained guests. Samuel was very professional, easy to communicate with, and very responsive. He is very flexible and patient, especially when he met us at the wedding venue, and me and my husbands meeting with the coordinator ran over time. He was understanding and still went over the details.
We were very happy to have the event Cancun at our wedding! The DJ played the songs we wanted during dinner and party time, and even played a few songs we requested in a moment at the time of our wedding. Everyone had such a great time!

The Event Cancun saved our wedding day. Two weeks before the wedding we received the quote from our hotel’s DJ and dance floor. Needless to say prices were crazy and we started to look for local DJ’s in weddingwire and found The Event Cancun with great reviews. Lucky us they were available. Even though we had to add to the cost of the crazy outside vendors fees from our hotel, The Event Cancun quote was a great deal! Samuel made the impossible to work our venue. He toured the facilities and met with the the coordinator in advance to set everything before the event. The venue gave him a hard time and still he managed to set everything with his crew. I sent my list on the same day of the event and I don’t know how they were able to nailed the entertainment throughout the night. They even managed to assist one of our guest that had a surprise for us. Also the MC was great with all the last minute details and improvising. The entire team were very nice and helpful. Phenomenal Experience with Sam Galvan
Like many others, I was shocked to see the pricing sheet for my hotel in-house entertainment company. That led me to rapidly begin a search for a DJ/entertainment company a bit last minute for a 40 person corporate party. The Event Cancun provided live musicians, fireshow, hora loca dancers, DJ, and all the A/V equipment. Sam worked with our event objectives and budget very easily and created a truly custom event for us.
This was my first experience planning an event in Cancun entirely remotely (I am in the U.S.) and I was very nervous about sourcing vendors in different country. I reached out to a handful of DJ companies and Sam immediately stood out as one of the best. I am extremely picky and have high standards for my vendor partners. The Event Cancun is top-notch and exceeded expectations.
Sam genuinely loves what he does and is highly experienced with planning and coordinating high-end events. Communication was frequent despite being in different countries and time zones. Sam was super accommodating and handled all of the hotel paperwork for outside vendors in addition to working with the hotel event planner and was willing to drive ~40m to the hotel venue for a walk-through a couple of days early.
The party itself was a huge success, all of my guests could not stop talking about how amazing Armando the DJ was. I never gave Sam a playlist and Armando knocked the music out of the park. That is saying a lot right there. ;) I have worked with my fair share of DJs who could not get the party going! The fireshow was magical and achieved the “WOW” factor I was going for.
My entire team including our CEO and Board member were blown away by the event and said it was one of the most memorable parties they’ve ever attended.

Amazing Service and Great Price
The day of the wedding, Samuel and his crew did an amazing set up of the LED dance floor, sound system, lights, music, fireworks. They also kept the party going and kept everybody entertained. Armando, the DJ, made an incredible mix with the songs we had requested and everybody was dancing all night. Samuel was also very good at getting everybody to participate and dance!

The Event was beyond our expectations. The DJ was perfect, the MC was perfect, the shows were perfect. Everything was just amazing. Samuel Galvan is incredible to work with! He is an amazing human and very nice!! We just had a multi day wedding in Puerto Morelos and used Sam and The Event for 3 full days and they knocked it out of the park. He made it work within my budget and was very flexible with last minute changes. He is an absolute wonderful vendor, I did my due diligence with 3 other vendors before choosing Sam & The Event, and I KNOW I chose the right person for my wedding, We had 115 guests and multiple parties on the beach. Absolutely amazing experience!
I literally cannot say enough good things about these guys and my experience with them! We hired them for our wedding at Hotel Xcaret in Riviera Maya and right off the bat they were awesome to work with. To me, the music was one of the most important things about the wedding. I am a musician and producer so I am very particular about the quality of sound and the flow of songs. These guys far exceeded my expectations! There was also some difficulty with the hotel who would have rather used their preferred vendor as the DJ, so they were kind of making it hard on Samuel and his crew to do the wedding. Samuel went out of his way to provide all necessary documents and safety gear required by the hotel in order to comply with their standards and every step of the way he let us know he would do whatever it took to make our wedding a success. And let me tell you, he absolutely delivered!!
The set up was gorgeous, from the strings lights, to the dance floor, to the giant LOVE sign and moving heads. The sound system was high quality and the DJ was exceptional. We sent him a list of probably 50 songs we wanted played that night and he blended them perfectly and knew exactly what to play and when to play it. The MC was a blast and did a great job keeping things moving and remembered all the points we talked about beforehand. Honestly our wedding was a huge success and we could not have done it without these guys!! If you’re considering hiring them, go for it! You will not be disappointed!!The Event Cancun's reply:

Best Party I’ve Ever Been To
We got married on 2/26/2022. Sam was amazing to work with from the time we reached out to the day of the wedding. He was so helpful when planning and reached out a couple of weeks before to finalize playlists and important song choices (first dances, grand entrance, etc). When we got to Mexico we did not want to carry a large amount of money and Sam went out of his way to meet up with us so that we would not have to which was so helpful.
The day of the wedding I had a cocktail hour playlist that he honored and made sure to blend the songs well and a suggested reception playlist that he used and added some great songs in the mix. My husband and I received so many comments on how it was the best wedding our guests had ever been to and Sam and his team helped make it that way. I did not want the party to stop!
My only recommendation is to look at the packages and make sure that you are paying for music playing from Cocktail hour to when the wedding starts. Sam had pointed out that we had some “dead” time that wouldn’t have any music and so we ended up having to pay more than what our contract has specified which in the end was worth it.The Event Cancun's reply:

Sam is an awesome person to work with! I promise your reception will be lit! The dance floor was not empty at all, even people commented on how good the ceremony music selection was. He is called The Event for a reason, trust him with yours and enjoy the party! Also he took the time to meet with us before the reception to ensure that everything was right and he also adjusted the sound set up for our outdoor reception which was experiencing a lot of wind. He went above and beyond to ensure things were correct and that we wouldn’t have to worry at all. During the planning phase he was very responsive, for the year leading up to the wedding, and really took pride in our event. He wasn’t there to do a job, he was there to make sure our reception was memorable and that it was! Amazing customer service. Helped me get rid of some wedding day stress. Went through everything and worked with my wedding planner perfectly. Played what we liked and avoided stuff we hate. I would hire them EVERY time I come to Cancun for an event if I could. I was so worried about payment and didnt want any glitches but Sam made it stress free... He even did the fireworks and extra lighting perfectly. Very affordable, very flexible and very polite. They also get back with you quickly. Sam is the best! Samuel y su equipo, son los mejores proveedores de música de Cancún, son sumamente profesionales, muy atentos, siempre mantuvieron un ambiente agradable en la fiesta, desde el inicio supieron amenizar de acuerdo al momento, si alguno de los invitados les pedía alguna canción la ponían sin excepción alguna, hasta dejaron cantar a algunos invitados, sin duda lo recomendaría al 100% y si yo tuviera otro evento serían mi proveedor sin dudar un momento.

I can tell you he was THE BEST vendor I worked with.
Not only he was prompt to answer any of my questions but he was also quick to address any of my concerns during the wedding planning.
His taste is beyond what I imagined, my husband and I were very picky about our colors and the atmosphere we wanted to create and Samuel delivered more than we ever expected.
His music was amazing too and there were requests made from some of our guests and he managed to find the songs last minute even though that wasn't part of the deal.
I can honestly say Samuel and his company are the best in Cancun. I have only great things to say about him and his work.
He also throws in a couple of surprises I won't give away in the mix to make your wedding day just that much more extra especial.
