The English Inn was the dreamiest wedding venue. Working with Adriana from day one was such a treat- she was professional, answered all of our questions and went above and beyond for us. We received so many compliments ranging from the beauty of the venue, the professional staff, and the plated dinners that everybody LOVED! I would encourage everybody to get married here.
Having on site hotel rooms & cottages was a major perk for our guests, and every single room was beautifully designed with historic charm throughout.
The grounds of the venue were so beautiful- flowers, lush green grass and mature trees surrounded us as we were married next to the river.
The Medovue Hall (cocktail&reception hall) was stunning!!
I wouldn’t change a thing about The English Inn. If you decide to get married here, you won’t regret it. There was not one hiccup throughout the entire process, all thanks to Adriana!

The perfect English Wedding
This was the perfect venue for us. Do you want an old-world feel and classic feeling for your wedding? This is perfect. Do you want all the amenities, modern accommodations for your wedding? This isn’t it.
We wanted to feel like we were in another world for our wedding. This served as the perfect place. My husband and I stayed in the Ivy suite and his groomsmen in the Essex. This was perfect as he went to the Essex room to get ready with the groomsmen and the Ivy was perfect for the bridal party as there were multiple rooms for hair and makeup to set up.
Most of the wedding party and family rented out the rooms - so we got to see those, and all were unique and beautiful in their own ways. I recommend reserving the room Bath for a bridesmaid or whomever will be steaming dresses.
The pergola and Medovue Hall both were beautiful for the ceremony and reception respectively. We didn’t do a lot of decorations because I felt the beauty of the hall spoke for itself. We had the Duck for dinner - and it was perfect. Everyone raved about it. The bartenders and waitstaff were so nice and personable.
Adriana was great to organize and work with. All in all, we loved our venue and highly recommend it.

Hidden Gem
The English Inn is truly a breathtaking hidden gem. We had our wedding here in July 2025 and could not be more pleased with this venue. Adriana was truly a pleasure to work with and provided support in more ways than we could have ever imagined, she truly helped everything come together no matter the surprises that came up. The Essex was large enough for our party to get ready in, while the other rooms in the building are just seconds away as well. The grounds are absolutely stunning for all your photos. The staff provided 5 star service all night. We got so many compliments on the food, our appetizers went so fast (definitely order more than you think!), the filet was delicious and the best quality we’ve had at a wedding- think true fine dining taste! The venue even stepped up last minute and helped with our desserts when we had a mishap with our original vendor. An additional perk of this venue is when you book a room, a delicious fresh breakfast is included the following morning, it was so special to see so many of our guests before we checked out. I cannot recommend this venue enough for your wedding, or even a dinner celebration

Perfect Venue
Our wedding was at the English Inn in Eaton Rapids on June 6th, and it was truly the most magical, flawless day we could have imagined. From start to finish, every detail was handled with care, professionalism, and warmth.
We especially want to thank Adriana, who was an absolute joy to work with. She was kind, responsive, organized, and always one step ahead—anticipating our needs and making sure the entire day ran smoothly. Her calm, friendly presence made the planning process and the wedding day itself feel effortless and joyful.
The venue is simply stunning. The grounds are immaculate—lush gardens, flowing fountains, and charming pathways that made for incredible photos and peaceful moments throughout the day. The ceremony setting was idyllic, and the reception hall was elegant and inviting. Our guests are still raving about the beauty of the cocktail hour area and how cozy and lovely the cottages were for those who stayed on-site.
Every element—from the staff’s professionalism to the flow of the timeline—was handled with such excellence. We felt so taken care of and so confident in the team, which allowed us to fully enjoy the day and focus on what mattered most.
The English Inn was a huge part of making our wedding day as special and perfect as it was. We cannot recommend them highly enough!

The Best Wedding Venue

Magically charming and highly professional
The English Inn provided exceptional service, breathtaking scenery, and excellent food and drinks. We couldn’t have chosen a better venue for our wedding day! It was magical and breathtaking. We went with their diamond package, reserved the entire day, had our ceremony and reception there, and reserved cottages for multiple nights. Their event coordinator, Adriana, exceeded our expectations with so many details it’s difficult to list everything. One special, beyond expectation moment was how she helped coordinate our marriage certificate signing within the library, complete with champagne and hors devours from the cocktail hour, for an intimate moment with our immediate family members. All staff made great impressions on us and our guests. We had many guests stay at the Inn for the weekend, and all of them were highly impressed. The grounds and estate have been very well maintained, including being freshly mowed the morning of. We’d also like to highlight the kitchen crew and bar staff; they were on top of it! Everyone enjoyed their meals and couldn’t get enough of the specialty cocktails. Overall, we feel and heard from our guests that our wedding was magical, and we know a great deal of that came from the hard work of The English Inn and its staff. It really isn’t possible to write out all the positive feedback we feel and heard from our guests – without writing a book!

Hidden gem!
We don't have enough great things to say about The English Inn. The grounds are breathtaking and made for the perfect location for our wedding. The gardens are beautiful and well-kept and the riverfront was a peaceful backdrop for our ceremony. The on-site rooms allowed us to keep our immediate family and closest friends close which made for the perfect wedding weekend. We had great locations for getting ready which made for excellent photo ops. The staff was so friendly and considerate and went out of their way to make our weekend special. I can't thank everyone enough, especially Adriana who addressed all of my emails in a friendly, timely manner. She was constantly checking in throughout the wedding and ready to address any issues that arose. We're looking forward to spending many of our anniversaries here for years to come.

A+ wedding venue
Wow, the English Inn was an incredible choice for wedding venue on all fronts. The events manager was so professional, organized, and responsive - our planning anxiety was hugely reduced just by being in their capable hands. We loved having our ceremony on the beautiful grounds outside, cocktail hour was a blast on the patio outside the reception hall, and Medovue was nice and spacious for the reception. (Plus, we loved it as a backup location for the ceremony in case of bad weather.) We're thankful for all the staff's help throughout the day, and everyone LOVED dinner.

Absolutely perfect!
The English inn was the perfect choice for our wedding and I wouldn’t change a thing about it! The planning process was so simple - Adriana walked us through each decision and in no time our day was planned. Our guests loved the food and the simplicity of having the ceremony and dinner in one room. An extra bonus was not needing to decorate because the Inn is beautiful as is! The flexibility of the venue on rearranging our seating at the last minute (Covid cancellations), and the ease of selecting from
their menu, and the fact they accept credit cards all just added to the day. It was truly a stress free experience which is great for a busy couple, or people who don’t want to spend a lot of time wedding planning. I have absolutely no regrets and am so grateful for the inn and their amazing staff!

Adriana and the crew at the English Inn we're beyond amazing! First the place it GORGEOUS!! Second, Adriana is an absolute gem and really made my wedding planning experience and my wedding just absolutely amazing! She was so sweet to work with. She was very knowledgeable and made everything so easy. She answer every email, question and concern and made or very easy for my vendors to come and set up. The food also was wonderful!! All-inclusive and Absolutely Gorgeous!
My wife and I fell in love with the English Inn the moment we laid eyes on it. We both have backgrounds in history, so it just felt right to have our wedding at a historic venue. Every inch of the inn, the outlying cottages, and the grounds outside are beautiful year-round. Our wedding colors of green and gold fit perfectly with the decor both indoors in Medovue Hall as well as outside as the fall leaves began to turn. On top of the beautiful view during our ceremony and reception, the service from events manager Adriana was beyond exceptional. Due to the pandemic, we made the difficult decision to push our wedding date back from 2020 to 2021, and Adriana was extremely accommodating throughout the entire process. She helped us move our room bookings, adjust the date and time of our ceremony and reception, and was consistently there for us whenever we needed help planning aspects of our day. In terms of our actual wedding, we felt that all the services provided to us were well worth the price. The meals were quite literally some of the most delicious we've ever had in our entire lives, and the service throughout the cocktail hour and reception were phenomenal. We had several guests with dietary restrictions all of them were accommodated with excellent meals. And in the evening when it was time to retire to our rooms, we were again met with luxury in every aspect. The rooms were fantastic and each of them unique in a charming way. All of our guests complimented us on our choice of venue and were pleased with the English Inn as much as we were. And if we had to choose again, we would choose to have our wedding at the English Inn in a heartbeat. We can't wait to visit again!

Our daughter recently got married at the English Inn. Every moment start to finish was amazing! The ceremony and reception areas were gorgeous! The wait staff went over and beyond to ensure that our event went smoothly and our guests were taken care of - like royalty! Rebecca personally maintained contact with me ensuring our happiness; she and her banquet team were spectacular and professional in every possible way. Our guests raved about the food, as the meal was phenomenal!!! Every aspect of the planning process, rehearsal, rehearsal dinner, ceremony, reception and throughout the wedding day and our nights stay was perfection. It will be a day/experience we will always remember fondly, with gratitude to English Inn staff.
Adriana, the special events organizer, was a joy to work with. She made the planning and execution of our event a pleasant and joyful experience. The English Inn is blessed to have her on staff. Our entire experience with The English Inn was truly amazing. Amber was an absolute pleasure to work with, and she went above and beyond to make sure our day was perfect. We stayed in the Ivy Cottage, and it was the perfect place for my bridal party to get ready the morning of our wedding. The grounds are absolutely breathtaking and we were able to get some beautiful pictures before and after our offsite ceremony. The staff was exceptional, and the food was out of this world. Choosing the English Inn for our wedding reception was one of the best decisions we ever made. We were super lucky with a sunny 75 degree day in early May, but the grounds are beautiful. We made a whole weekend out of it with our bridal party and family staying on site for two nights for the rehearsal dinner and the wedding. The rooms are beautiful and the staff is fabulous. They were extremely accommodating before the wedding during planning and during with our many questions and requests. Adriana helped us plan the reception and she is fantastic to work with. Our guests have only had positive comments and they LOVE the food and so do we. Cannot wait to go back!

We had our wedding ceremony and reception at the English Inn and it could not have been more perfect! Our guests raved about the food, the grounds and the superior service that was given. Amber, our wedding coordinator, was so professional and helpful from the very beginning until the end. Anything that we missed, she thought of. Rebecca was in charge of our cocktail hour and our reception, and she also was fantastic. She would check in and make sure everything was going well and kept everything moving. The English Inn really has it all! You couldn't ask for a more beautiful place with such amazing food and staff. Adriana had everything under control and even made my mom feel comfortable with everything (Not a small task let me tell you). The staff showed us at every turn that they wanted everything to be perfect and that they wanted to take care of us. Our wedding went so smoothly and everyone had an amazing time!! It's easy for a venue to rest on the beauty of the grounds but The English Inn really strives to make everything personable and special.
Going out to the inn became a treat for us when we tested the food and the cake. We even planned a trip just to stay the night and try the breakfast (for science :p), which was amazing BTW. I can't wait to go back to visit. They really made everything wonderful for us.

The English Inn is the premiere location for a wedding ceremony/reception in the Lansing Area. We received so many compliments regarding the venue, delicious food, and how seamless everything was. Adriana is a rock star at coordinating events and we literally had NO issues what so ever. Everything was flawless and we even had some very strict dietary requirements for a few guests.

I would recommend the English Inn to ANYONE AND EVERYONE!!! Adriana was one of the sweetest people I have ever met and she was available over email and phone anytime I needed her. She had everything set up perfectly for the day of and was so flexible with my needs. She designed an amazing caramel apple bar that I wanted for my wedding and everyone enjoyed it! The food was incredible, and space held the perfect amount of people (I had 200 guests) and there was plenty of space to move. The servers of food and bartenders were thoughtful, sweet, and understanding. My wedding day wouldn't have been the same without everyone involved! The English Inn is beautiful and the perfect place for a bride and groom that want the wedding of their dreams! :)

Alyssa was wonderful from day one. She was very responsive, and willing to work with us on many requests! The actual day of was amazing, the entire staff was so pleasant, professional, and timely. The venue was GORGEOUS! The food was just as amazing as the service. We are still hearing "it was the best wedding we hve ever attended!"

We held our ceremony at the Pergola at The English Inn and the reception in Medovue Hall for our wedding. It was simply amazing!! Not only is it a beautiful venue to get married at, the staff are absolutely amazing. Adriana was our designated event coordinator and she was so responsive and answered my 1,000 emails promptly. The food was delicious and I couldn't have envisioned a more perfect day. I highly recommend The English Inn for any event!!

We cannot say enough positive things about our wedding experience at The English Inn. My husband (yay!) and I stayed on location with close family and friends for two nights. We had a rehearsal, rehearsal dinner, and afternoon ceremony with brunch reception. We worked with Alyssa and she was an absolute dream. She helped us through the entire process and was SPOT ON during our special day. The service for our entire weekend was impeccable as well. It is a lovely location if you are looking to have a weekend with your close family and friends, a large party or just a small ceremony. The entire facility has the best vibe. It is a photographers dream with many, MANY places for gorgeous pictures. All of our guests described our day as romantic, relaxed and so fun. I could go on and on, but what you really need to know is that you absolutely will not regret the decision to have your special day at The English Inn!

The English Inn was the PERFECT venue for our intimate (45) person wedding and reception. Our guests loved the hospitality, the rooms upstairs, the beauty of the dining room and grounds and the perfect service provided by the staff. My Husband and I were searching for the perfect place to have our 1920's Great Gatsby themed wedding. When we came to have dinner at the English Inn, we fell in love instantly and booked our wedding immediately! It was everything we had hoped and dreamed it would be! Adriana, our wedding planner at the Inn was so sweet and helpful! No matter how many times we called or showed up randomly, she was always so patient and caring for us and our needs. The staff was so helpful and pleasant! They made us feel so welcome and so special! The food is AMAZING!!!! The scenery is beyond beautiful! Our family and friends stayed over night and are STILL raving about how beautiful the Inn was!
This is BEYOND a perfect place for a wedding or any other special event! I cannot wait to celebrate our 1 year anniversary there again!

Magical! That was the word of the day at my wedding. The English Inn was the perfect place for our wedding. From the moment we walked into the English Inn the staff was very welcoming and attentive. The food was very good and the service and pacing was on point.
Amber, our wedding planner, was wonderful. I can't say enough how grateful I am for having Amber as our wedding planner. She was extremely attentive, accommodating and was always available to communicate our needs and wants.
I highly recommend the English Inn Restaurant and Pub in Eaton Rapids Michigan for any event, for dinner or an overnight stay. The rooms were clean and beautifully decorated. Thank you to all the staff and especially Amber for making my wedding perfect and magical.

Our daughter was married at the pavilion by the river, day and ceremony were perfect, grounds were
beautiful, many guests had not been to English Inn before, several mentioned they would like to come back and spend the night for a special event. Staff was gracious, never flustered even when we worried about small details that needed immediate attention. We and several guests spent the night after the wedding, we didn't feel rushed to leave exactly on time next a.m. as we had lots to pack up. Extra meals and cake were given to us next morning to take home. Added two unexpected children at very last minute, not a problem for the staff. Would recommend The English Inn to anyone wanting to schedule a special event, it

We live 2 hours away from the English Inn but the staff were very accommodating and flexible whenever we wanted to come and plan out the date. The place looks amazing for our wedding day, except for the pouring rain right after the ceremony; but I doubt there's anything they can do about that. The wedding was a lot of fun. The place gave it a elegant and timeless feel and the guests loved it! We stayed at one of the new cottages and absolutely loved it!

I had my wedding ceremony and reception both at the English Inn in Eaton Rapids, MI. I cannot say enough about the professionalism of the staff there. I worked with their wedding coordinator Allie and she went above and beyond my expectations of what I needed and wanted. I was able to put out all of my decorations in the reception area the night before so as not to be scrambling around the next morning with everything. I also was able to get down to the pergola area early the next morning to do my chair and outdoor decorations with the help of the staff letting me into the hall where I had stored my decorations the night before. After the ceremony was over, the staff willingly helped my family gather up all of the chair decorations that we would later take home.
After speaking with a number of our guests who attended the event, they were more than taken care of at the reception. The staff again went out of their way to make sure our guests were served in a professional and timely manner. Our guests also commented on how good all of the food was and that no one went home hungry. We of course having been to the English Inn on a number of occasions for dinner already knew the food was outstanding and chose a variety of things for our guests to eat that day.
My event was beyond my expectations and the grounds of the Inn are extremely beautiful with highly landscaped flowers and greens making it a perfect place for the photographer to take a number of beautiful photos for our event. Also with the pergola backing up to the Grand River, it made for even more stunning photos along the bank of the river.
The English Inn is a place that I would highly recommend to anyone holding a wedding or any other type of event. It is not only stunningly beautiful but the food and service of the staff are outstanding.

The English Inn is a beautiful place to have your wedding. They are one of the more expensive venues in the Lansing area, but you certainly get what you pay for. The grounds are kept up very well. In fact, that was one of the first things I noticed when we started looking for venues in April 2012. The other places we looked assured us that things would be green and starting to bloom in mid to late May (around the time we were hoping to get married), but the English Inn already had flowers planted and lush, green grass. The food and cake were spectacular. Your guests will get a meal that is what you'd expect to get ordering off a menu at a restaurant, not something that tastes like it was made for a crowd. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. We had some guests come up for our wedding who previously thought they wouldn't be able to make it (which is great - the more, the merrier!), and there was never a peep or voiced concern from the staff. They took care of getting our guests chairs and food as if they were expecting them. The English Inn seems to put a lot of thought and care into making sure your wedding day is special. They even put fresh flowers on our dinner plates, which I thought added a nice touch. We received so many compliments about the English Inn. We would definitely recommend them to other couples looking to get married in Mid Michigan.

We absolutely loved having our wedding at the English Inn! Amy was wonderful at making sure that everything happened according to plan. We had our ceremony (beautiful) and reception here. The gardens are an extremely romantic setting and looked awesome in photographs. The staff made sure everything moved smoothly, yet I hardly recall seeing them. The food was outstanding and Amber, the head of service that evening, was amazing. I can't remember the pastry chef's name, but she made our cake...the best we've ever tasted. The rooms were awesome. I can't say enough good things about the Inn. It was the best choice we made for our wedding.

Our wedding venue was better than I could ever imagine. The inn and the gardens are just stunning and a wonderful place for a wedding. The pergola was the perfect setting by the river and the hall was just perfect. Guests are able to roam the gardens and play croquet and not be tied down to just the hall. The food at the English Inn is AMAZING and I cannot wait to go back! The wedding cake that Carolyn made was some of the best tasting cake I have ever had. All of the staff is very helpful and kind. We keep hearing from our guest how fairytale like our wedding was and everyone said that had the best time ever at a wedding.

Since our wedding, we have had so many compliments that it was one of the prettiest weddings they have ever been to, and much of that is due to the English Inn. The grounds are immaculate and the Pergola the most romatic place for the ceremony. We had some decorations, but really didn't need to do much. The reception/cocktail hour in Medovue Hall was also fantatistic. The food was just as good as at the tasting and is such a classy place. The staff was also great. There was a wedding just prior to ours and the staff was able to turn over the hall in record time. Amy Serr was great to work with and made it so easy! I wouldn't have chosen any other place if we had to redo it. We also had all of the rooms in the Inn and my husband and I stayed in Ivy Cottage. Our friends/family had a blast and didn't have to worry about keeping anyone else up. Ivy Cottage was also so romantic for our wedding night!

Our wedding was absolutely everything we hoped it would be and more and we owe most of that to the English Inn! A friend of ours recommended it to us and we were so glad that they did as it was a little out of the areas that I was originally searching in.
The whole feel of the English Inn was so dreamy and unique its hard not to fall in love. Some of my favorite aspects include:
1. The rooms! There are 20 rooms on site so we were able to have all of our immediate family and the wedding party stay together both Friday and Saturday nights and it was so nice not having travel for the weekend and being all together. The rooms are also STUNNING. The variety of rooms to stay in was so much fun too. The main house/restaurant has 8 rooms that are decorated to resemble the early 20th century English decor and every little detail is just perfect (we put the girls of the bridal party here). There is another house with 5 beautiful rooms where we put the men of the bridal party. There is another adorable house down by the river and 8 other cottages where we put our immediate family. That are all newer and perfect. They also have coffee delivery to your door in the morning and a delicious English breakfast served in the morning with the most attentive staff!
2. The food! How they managed to make 200 absolutely perfect filets is still puzzling to our family and friends. Trust me, they know what they're doing. We also got our cake through them which was so beautiful and delicious. We went with a strawberry cake with a vanilla buttercream frosting - big hit!
3. The staff! The event planner, Adriana, is one of the most friendly, helpful, and organized people I have ever met. She really made the process so much better and was there the whole day setting up until the cake was served. She was also SO helpful for the many months leading up to the wedding. The rest of the staff was also very friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful as well!

The English Inn is a gorgeous setting and a great place for a wedding. I think it's one of the most beautiful venues in the Lansing areas. There are SO MANY great spots to get some amazing photos on the English Inn's grounds. Adriana, the wedding coordinator is great. She was super helpful and made our day perfect. What I really liked about the English Inn is it truly is an all-in-one venue, which made logistics a lot less stressful. Our guests were able to walk from the ceremony right to the reception, and then there are 18 rooms available for guests to stay. It is a bit pricier than some other venues in the Lansing area, but their packages include almost everything needed for the reception.

We had our September ceremony and reception at The English Inn. If your looking for a one stop shop for excellent staff, scrumptious food and beautiful backdrops with flexible budget options, this is the place for you. All of our guests raved about the food, drink, cake and enjoyed the Inn and grounds. I planned my wedding from out of state (military) and Adriana, our coordinator was always so responsive to calls/emails. It made wedding planning a breeze. It truly was the perfect day.

The service was excellent and on the wedding day everything was perfect! The venue is gorgeous! Amber was great to work with and helps out a lot with getting everything organized. If you do want a room book it the day you book the venue we tried 2 months before the wedding and were told they were full and would be put on a waiting list. We never heard anything and one of our guest got a room the week before, but everything worked out great, it's a perfect place for a wedding and they make everything so easy to plan!

It was wonderful to work with Adriana. she was great and helped with the thousands of questions I asked her. I only mark down for flexibility because I was only able to taste test two entrees(everything was delicious so I would have loved to try more). Also there was not an easy option to get cake from another bakery, however I loved this option because the pastry chef, Carolyn, was great!

Perfect spot for a small intimate wedding (7 people)! We booked rooms at the Inn so we were able to get ready on location, had the ceremony in the garden under the trellis, relaxed on the patio with drinks while taking photos, enjoyed a wonderful 5 course dinner in the private dining room right off the back patio (Oxford Room) and were able to retire to our rooms when it was all finished (breakfast was even included in the morning). The best part it was all planned and executed within 30 days! It all went off without a hitch.....service staff was patient and attentive (this is very helpful). Would highly recommend.

The English Inn was absolutely gorgeous on our wedding day. The grounds were beautiful and all of my guests could not get over how lovely the area was. The staff were all very helpful and kind to my guests and I.
A wonderful, beautiful place to get married. It is more on the expensive side, but if you can work it into your budget somehow, it is a beautiful place to get married!

My husband and I had visited the English Inn before, and when we were looking for a venue it was at the top of our list. Putting it simply, they were awesome. Adriana was helpful, patient, responsive, and flexible when it came to the details, which we really appreciated. With her help, we had a beautiful wedding and a fantastic reception (the staff working the reception were especially amazing...really great). Can't recommend the English Inn enough!

The English Inn was everything my husband and I were looking for in a wedding venue. The house and surrounding property were stunning, and we were able to have all the details taken care of through the inn. The only outside vendors we had to hire were our photographer and DJ. The dinner we served was a steak and salmon combination and it was the best steak and salmon I've ever had. The staff was impeccable. They were very professional, and a dream to work with. We had a lot of last minute details either come together or fall a part and Amber, the assistant manager, handled it all so well. My one complaint would be that the ceremony started a tad late. We started at 6pm, but my husband and I wanted to start at 4. We were told the inn usually has ceremonies at 6, so we trusted the staff and went for it. We still had the wedding we wanted, but a little more time for dancing would have been neat. All in all, I definitely recommend The English Inn, it's intimate, romantic, beautiful, and the food is delicious.

This is place is beautiful and unique so it books up FAST!! There are sometimes multiple weddings in a day so if you want your family/wedding party to stay at the Inn BOOK EARLY and BOOK EVERYTHING! It really makes for a more magical weekend when there aren't a bunch of other angst-filled families waiting around for your wedding to be done so they can get in. Other than that, the whole process was pain-free and really enjoyable! The locations couldn't be more beautiful and the staff couldn't be more helpful. Overall it was an amazing place to get married and I can't wait to spend our 1st year anniversary!

I think that it would be nice if the tasting for such an expensive event could be complimentary, at least for the bride and groom. Even a discount on our room for our wedding night would have been so greatly appreciated.
That being said, we were so happy we chose the English Inn for our special day. We were so proud to have our event in such a beautiful location! The staff was so attentive and very accomidating. Everythimg was delicious and beautiful and all of our guests had a lovely time. Jim and I as well as 4 others are returning for dinner on Sunday the 26th.
We plan on celebrating our one year wedding anniversary there as well :)

I was recently married at The English Inn, and all I have to say is great things! Many of our guests had never been to The English Inn, and we are still hearing about what a beautiful place it is. If you are looking for something less modern and want to step back in time, this is the place. The grounds are absolutely gorgeous with gardens and the Grand River running behind the pavilion where we had our ceremony. The architecture of the Inn as well as the grounds, makes for unique and great photo opportunities. I stayed in the Honeysuckle cottage the night of rehearsal, and it has a very cute old school charm to it, and the night of I moved to the newer croquet cottages, which are more modern but still give you a relaxing non-hotel feel.
Adriana the event coordinator was easy to work with, and was quick to respond to any questions or concerns that came up during the planning process. The wait staff were great, and we even had one that came out on the dance floor with us for a few minutes, it was great! The food was amazing, and our cake was not only beautiful, but delicious too. We are still hearing about how great the food was, and how beautiful the venue was over all. We will be returning to visit in the near future.

I choose to have my wedding here because of the beautiful scenery and because of the history. It was a very small wedding and they were able to accommodate us to have the ceremony on the back lawn terrace (which they have never done there before) and it was perfect! They were very accommodating and flexible with our requests and everyone had a lovely time in the adorable cottages that we rented!

If you want to book a fairytale location for your wedding and reception, I'd highly recommend The English Inn. We rented out the whole place for our wedding weekend. The whole wedding party stayed there. We also hosted our rehearsal dinner there. It was so convenient to have everything in one spot. The food and service was also exceptional! I had such a wonderful time there that I want to do it all over again! Highly recommended.

This is a gorgeous venue! We had an issue with the coordinator not directing people where to go after the ceremony and all were waiting in the wrong while photos were being taken after ceremony! Food numbers were not accurate! I was unsure what the role of the coordinator was. I feel anything that did not go so well was do to the coordinator! Wait staff was excellent and compensated when there was disorganization. Food was excellent! Overall I highly reccommend and will be back for our anniversaries!

When my husband took me to see The English Inn I really was wowed by the landscape, architecture and atmosphere of the Inn and it's grounds. Then we ate dinner and were bowled over by the incredible food.
Everyone at the Inn was extremely helpful, always willing to answer my questions or find someone who could and I felt from the start that things would go smoothly.
If you want a georgeous location, incredible service and food and a nice place to stay for your honeymoon, the English Inn is tip top!

The location is beautiful, the food was very good, but not as good as it was when we tasted there. The people were terrific to work with, except for one thing. The bar closed at dinner time, and my husband, my wedding party, and I didn't come in from pictures until dinner time. And they refused us drinks to go with our dinner. The bride and groom! I called the wedding coordinator out and politely demanded drinks, and they served us, but I thought that was pretty poor that I had to do that in the first place.
One other complaint. The bar only had cheap lite beer, such as bud lite and miller lite. We had to pay quite a bit extra over the cost per person for them to order in killians and michelob, which are only mid quality beer.

Everything that went wrong with my wedding was due to the staff and service at the English Inn. We had booked the wedding venue 8 months in advance for a Friday night. We were to have the place to ourselves unlike Saturday weddings where they occasionally book two weddings in one day (morning and evening). However, the site's wedding planner booked a last minute "emergency" wedding to immediately follow our ceremony just days before our wedding. She admitted this to my mom on Thursday (the day before our wedding), but assured her that we were the main priority and we wouldn't even know the other wedding party was there. Instead, the other wedding party was impatiently watching our ceremony, their guests were complaining about how long we were taking, and some of their guests intentionally got in the way of our pictures afterwards! I couldn't believe the nerve of the site's wedding planner! The other thing that happened is that we had plenty of cake for every single guest and then some. However, my husband and I found out later that the cake was never cut and served. Many of our guests commented on how great the cake looked and they wished they could have tried it, but it was never served. For the large amount of money that we paid for this venue, I was EXTREMELY disappointed.

5/7/16 I had my wedding here. We booked a yr out.
3 months out I asked my coordinator about booking a room for two nights. She said the whole inn was blocked out due to a bride who was getting married 5/6.
I had booked our date prior to this other couple ¬ even so much as a phone call was made to me asking if I would like a room!
After 3 phone calls with my coordinator, They gave a room me & my daughters could get ready in. I was assured this room from 9am-12:30pm (my wedding was at 1pm).
I coordinated my hair stylists &make up artists around this time frame.
I arrived at the English inn at 9am ready to go, they were not. The room was still being cleaned and I was unable to get into it until 9:50am!
The wedding coordinator came to the door at 12:15pm checking to see if we would be done by the 12:30. I told her probably not but we would do our best. She made a smug look &left. At 12:30 she was back & was snarky &stated we had to be out! I told her we were doing our best and would be out asap. I at this point hadn't even been able to get my dress on. My mothers &daughters had to scurry around and get all of our stuff cleaned up and out of the room to appease the coordinator. I had to put my wedding dress and jewelry on by myself just to hurry up &get out of the room. We were not able to get any pictures before or any of the special moments a girl dreams of on her wedding day.
Our wedding of course started late.
After the ceremony (which was roughly 30min), we then began taking pictures.
