There's not enough amazing things to write about Daniel and our wedding photos. We knew from the moment we found his page that his style was exactly what we wanted for our wedding pictures. There's something so intimate and candid about his photos yet each picture tells an entire story, it's incredible. His vintage/moody vibes makes it feel like he's shooting on old school film yet he brings a modernity in with a lot of his compositions and unique angles. I can't express how much joy I get out of looking at literally every single picture we got back from him and trust me there were plenty! Besides being an incredible artists (which his work speaks for itself) Daniel is the most down to earth, easy to work with, chill, funny, amazing guy. It was so fun to have him there on our special day. He had us laughing and goofing around, made us feel so relaxed and stress free, and it absolutely shows in the pictures. There's none of that stiff, awkward smiles, staged feel, that you often get with portraits and it has everything to do with him.
We are completely and totally in awe of how well he captured our day and our love. Every moment big and small was so beautifully done, he is truly such a talented artist. WE CANNOT RECOMMEND HIM ENOUGH TO CAPTURE YOUR SPECIAL DAY!! Can't wait to work with him for any future shoots we will have! -

The BEST energy!
We absolutely LOVED working with Danny as our wedding photographer! When we interviewed photographers, we were deciding between a company that had shot countless weddings at our venue and DV. I am SO HAPPY we went with DV. Unlike the photography company, DV got to know us as a couple and tailored the experience. On our first call, DV and I chatted for an hour about our wedding and just life. He is the kind of person that puts anyone at ease (including my camera shy husband!) and could chat for hours over a beer.
This all translated to an incredible experience on our wedding day. Danny brought the BEST ENERGY to our wedding day, was incredibly flexible with our timeline and thought on his feet when the weather didn’t cooperate. He listened to all of our requests and got my husband to loosen up in front of the camera!
If you’re looking for a non-cookie-cutter photographer who brings the energy and his unique style, look no further!

We met Danny at our friends wedding and three years ago and within the first exchange of connection we knew he was it! We didn’t even have a wedding date yet but, we knew that he was going to be our guy. We reconnected about a year later at our other friend’s wedding (no surprise there) haha.. only to confirm with him that we still really wanted him to be apart of our day even though we still had nothing planned and no date in mind. Months later when we finally began our process, and you guessed it, he was the first person we called! To put it lightly, he’s a breath of fresh air. He radiates warm and welcoming energy which is ultimately what makes you feel so comfortable. He doesn’t just capture a moment but, he helps create it. He provides a space of fun, comfort and unity. He’s adventurous and inspires you to step a bit out of your comfort zone which is essential to creating the art of the love he is capturing. Our connection with Danny is undeniably greater than just “work” because he is so communicative and personal. Even though our wedding has since happened, we know it will not be the last time we see him!

NYC Vibes: Couples Shoot
We have worked with handfuls of photographers and can confirm that DV freaking CRUSHED it. This shoot is so unlike the others we’ve done and we are truly just blown away with his work! He spent a ton of extra time with us so he could capture our full vision. We are big fans of DVs — can’t wait to work with him when we visit from FL next!!! -

Couldn’t of asked for a better photographer and friend
There are no words a to describe Danny but I will try my best. My engagement shoot with him was amazing. My husband HATES pictures and feels very uncomfortable. Danny made him feel like a model and had him laughing the whole time with his personality and music! Moving to the wedding, I was a covid bride originally supposed to get married in September 2020. When i reschedule to May 2021 Danny was amazing and so accommodating. As it approached I changed my wedding to out of state due to restrictions. Danny was immediately DOWN! He had everything straightened out and ready to go without any added stress to me. Leading up to the wedding, he made sure to check in with me and my husband on pictures we wanted and make any changes to our timeline to best fit for us! Fast forward to the wedding day…Danny was absolutely amazing and a pleasure to be around. Our guests all loved him and he made sure to get every single shot we wanted. His talent is so hard to put in words because it’s not like anything in this world. He understood my vibe from day 1 and made sure to carry it through until the end. He had us laughing, crying and happy throughout the night. He worked in the Florida heat non stop to make sure every single moment was captured! He also understood and appreciated our alone time or times we didn’t want to do pictures. For example we wanted to be at our cocktail hour and not away taking pictures the whole time, he made it happen without missing any shots. During the ceremony, we didn’t want to be pulled for a million pictures. He made that happen without missing any shots. Danny is absolutely amazing at what he does, he’s talented beyond words, caring, kind and so FUN to be around. His positive and upbeat energy rubs off on all! We will definitely be using Danny in the future for maternity shoots newborn shoots and family pictures without any single doubt. Thank you so much Danny. -

As someone who’s not big into pictures DV knew how to make it exciting. Not your regular type of prom pictures and very personable. He was the MVP of our wedding and he had about 3-4 people from our bridal party wanting to hire him for their wedding. Thank you Dan for everything. -

Danny (DV) was absolutely exceptional. He was a pleasure to work with as he is true professional. He shot our wedding day for us and while we KNOW that the photos are and will be spectacular - the way he interacted with our guests and organized us for family photos was wonderful. This can be a difficult task especially on the hot day that it was but DV gave us reassurance just in the way he made things happen. Throughout the day he made sure we had every picture possible and his artistic input will be forever valued. We cannot recommend him enough and by the end of the night he was considered a guest and a friend. Looking forward to working with him more in the future for any/all occasions we want to capture. We wouldn’t want anyone but Danny to capture these memories. -

Let me just start by saying DV is incredible! You NEED to book him! From his personality and his passion to his creativity and talent. DV just recently shot our engagement pictures and we could not be happier! My fiancé and I are both very awkward and don’t like taking pictures and DV helped us feel so comfortable and have so much fun, even when we got caught in a thunderstorm! He cares so deeply about his clients and his work and he’s a super cool human! We couldn’t have chosen a better photographer and can’t wait for our wedding! -

Daniel is amazing
Daniel is literally the definition of professional. He is also the definition of fun and overall amazing person. He captures the very essence of love and turns it even more amazing than it already is. Our original wedding date was set for 8/29/2020 at a big venue but had to be postponed due to COVID. From the engagement party to the wedding. My husband and I still got married on 8/29 just much smaller. Daniel was there. He sacrificed and spent time with us. It meant the world. He traveled with us to take our pictures and even came back and took pictures at our small reception. Let me tell you, his pictures are AMAZING!!!!!!! Beyond amazing!!! We are so amazed that his work is filled all over our home. When we have a baby we absolutely sure to be working with him again!!!! We love him!!!! We recommend him 10000%!!! You will not regret it! -

Daniel was such an amazing photographer. He really captured the day as-is, especially the fact that we didn't hire a videographer. He had to shift his schedule to accommodate our wedding date because yes, we got married on a Tuesday. He is also a traveling wedding photographer and he'll make sure you get exactly what you want. Where to begin...... My fiancé and I met Daniel at a close friend’s wedding and he was amazing. Daniel has a ball of energy that when if you’re standing in 0 degree weather he makes you have such a great time. When Brandon and I got engaged the first thought that popped into our mind was DV Image for our photography experience. We took our engagement shoot at Prospect Park and it was freezing cold that day. We laughed so much and had so much fun that after a while of me wearing a one shoulder strap dress( could you imagine), I didn’t even notice how cold I was anymore. Now when we got the pictures, they were breathtaking. They did take a bit of time to get to us but he was communicated well, he was sincere and believe me it was worth the wait. Daniel captured pure love between Brandon and I. Our pictures were candid, gorgeous and unbelievably beautiful. Everyone that has saw our engagement gallery, loved every picture. They laughed at certain pictures of us laughing or smiled with us. He captured feelings, it was not just about a nice smile, or a kiss, we felt the happiness in all of our pictures. We are so grateful for this experience and looking forward to our wedding day photos!! -

We are addicted to the creative eye of The DV Image! Our wedding just passed, but my husband and I are already planning to hire Daniel in the future to capture our budding family! I am so glad we chose Daniel to be our wedding photographer - not only did he have fair and flexible pricing/packages, and a unique photography style (intimate and moody), but he is also amazingly talented and the nicest guy ever! Even though we already had engagement photos done, we decided to do an extra engagement shoot with him a few weeks before our wedding just to get some extra pictures and sort of have a trial run. The pictures turned out so amazing we didn't regret it at all! He had a ton of great ideas for poses and shots that we would never have thought of. From day 1 he really showed that he cared about us and made us feel comfortable with him throughout all of our shoots. It took about 2 months to receive our final wedding photos, and they all turned out absolutely stunning. We've been getting never-ending compliments on them from our family and friends too. I would highly recommend Daniel to anyone looking for a talented photographer for their wedding or engagement! -

If you are looking for a photographer to capture your love through a lens you can stop right now. We had the best experience ever. My fiance and I laughed through out our whole session. He’s very professional, friendly, and dependable. He seems to be prepared for all things and plans ahead. During our photo shoot, he was able to guide us and make suggestions that took our pictures to the next level. Every photo is unique and it’s obvious he paid attention to the details. So far, (because there will definitely be more moments to come) my husband and I have worked with “The DV Image” for business headshots, our gender reveal photo, and most recently our wedding ceremony and photo shoot. If you want memorable photos to capture the moments you want to last forever “The DV Image” is the way to go!

Highly Recommend
Daniel Verley was accommodating when we were uncertain of our location for engagement photos and he was helpful in choosing where we took photos. Daniel was full of ideas and also allow us to exercise our ideas as well for our photos that we thought would look nice. He was amazing and thoughtful. I would recommend his talent to anyone who needs a photographer. I have attached photos that he had taken of us and also photos (on my terrible phone camera) that I have taken.
I’m adding to this review to include that my wedding photos were equally as elegant and beautiful as the engagement shoot. I have not been disappointed by choosing the DV Image. -

Danny’s affability, expertise and professionalism stood out since our first encounter. Perusing his clients’ work, confirmed that he was the right photographer for our special day. Through his gallery, we noticed a unique story for each couple. His keen eye for detail and creative ability were qualities we demanded, and Danny clearly surpassed those expectations. All of our wedding memories were captured just how we had envisioned it. With Danny’s distinct use of lighting and composition, he was able to perfectly create our own love story that resembled a movie. He made an effort to get to know us and ensured that the photos reflected our personalities. He arrived early on our big day, which gave him time to snap additional pictures. His assistant was also invaluable. Her profound vision for romance helped to display my wedding dress, veil and accessories in various settings. These are shots that many couples may lack because of time constraint, but Danny captured our wedding from sunrise to sunset. We HIGHLY recommend the DV Image as your wedding photographer. His friendly nature, positive energy and charisma allowed us to enjoy his company and be our true selves in front of the lens. Everything was perfect—-from the communication to the quick turn around. All couples should experience a photographer as passionate as Danny, the DV Image.

Alicia Sent on 02/24/2018Dan at the DV Image is nothing short of amazing. After seeing some of Dan's work and meeting with him a few times, I decided to take a leap of faith and put my trust in him to photograph our destination wedding in Costa Rica. I need to mention that this was Dan's first destination wedding and he was traveling and shooting our 95 person wedding ALONE! He was wonderful with all of our wedding guests as he essentially spent the weekend mingling with all of us when he wasn't working. I cannot even begin to describe the amount of dedication and effort he puts forth when taking photos. You truly can tell that he puts his heart and soul into the work that he does, and it definitely shows when you receive your breathtakingly gorgeous photos. My wedding guests still a year later comment on how great and hard working our photographer was. I don't even know how it is possible that our photos came out so perfect, we get comments all the time that our photos looked like they were straight out of a magazine. Again, a year later people are still talking about them. I honestly have no idea how only one person dealing with a bride, groom and a wedding party of 16 plus 80 additional guests was able to be in so many places at once. There is not one photo my husband and I don't like. He nailed them all from scenery, to getting ready, the ceremony, family, wedding party and bride and groom portraits, reception details AND the day after shoot. I always said that when I look at my wedding photos I want to be reminded of all the emotions I felt that day/weekend and be transported back to those moments. Dan delivered that and more!

The DV Image was by far the most unprofessional vendor out of everybody that helped put my wedding on.
I arrived at my hotel room and started getting ready. My makeup artist and hair stylist, who had also been in contact with my day of coordinator, adhered perfectly to the schedule. We had to adjust when everybody got their makeup done to factor in when Daniel would arrive, but it was all going smoothly.
Then Daniel calls and says he’s forgotten a lens at home, and it’ll only be 10 minutes of a diversion. Mistakes happen. But this mistake grossly affected my entire wedding. In earnest, I don’t exactly remember how long he was late by, but my husband and his friends were fully dressed by the time he started shooting for him, and my makeup hadn’t been started yet (waiting on him to shoot it) and I should have been finished with. We were running behind.
Because we were running so behind, I had to jump into my dress quickly so we could get more photos in the hotel room, before we left for our first look and eventually photos with our families and friends after that (which should have started an hour earlier). We had to do family photos after the ceremony, which I didn't want so we could enjoy our cocktail hour. I paid for my dress to be altered a certain way so the bustier I wore wouldn’t be visible. But because I had to rush getting into the gown, my dress was off and my bustier was visible in every. Single. Photo. Now most people have assured me they haven’t been able to notice it, but I can. And it breaks my heart. Money wasted. I’m just glad I didn’t notice during my wedding and had fun regardless, but these photos are forever.
Again, because Daniel is so disarming, everybody thought he did a fantastic job at the wedding. Even I thought the same. My wedding itself was great and everybody else did their jobs perfectly. We said goodnight to Daniel, since we had already paid him days earlier, and I was fully expecting to hear from him in the next 48 hours with some sneak peek photos. Trust me when I say I’ve beaten myself up over this for ages now, but I never confirmed with him exactly when we would get sneak peeks. We had talked about it briefly in the early days, but I had nothing in writing or even a verbal confirmation. Truth be told I didn’t think I had to confirm this; it’s 2022. There’s no physical film to be developed. I assumed that I would be getting a few unedited photos right after my wedding to post on socials, and then we would receive the edited photos a month or two down the line. I should have listened to that old saying about assuming.
It was about 9 days after my wedding that I first emailed Daniel about receiving some sneak peeks. I know that the DV image is not his primary job so I didn’t really take too much notice when he didn’t immediately email me back.
I had my husband text Daniel and email him an appropriate distance apart in June. I emailed him again asking for a timeline on July 18th. Radio silence. Meanwhile, on his Instagram, he’s posting other couples whose events happened long after ours. I’m so fixated on this affront still, 4 months later. Something about it has severely rubbed me the wrong way and made me feel unimportant.
The lack of communication was, in the opinion of everyone I recounted our woes to, grossly unprofessional. Had he kept us in the loop on where he was, we would have been far more forgiving.
We didn’t hear from Daniel again until July 24th, two months and two days since our wedding. In that time, I watched no less than 5 other couples get married and post sneak peek photos within 48 hours. In his email, it was full of excuses as to why he had taken so long on our gallery, one excuse being that he had taken 20 additional couples since our wedding. Quite frankly, I was less than sympathetic about his personal life excuses, or however many couples he shot after our wedding. He admitted to overextending himself and needing to hire help, which again, is none of my concern. I paid for a service first, before those other couples, and yet we had been posted nowhere and had nothing to share with our loved ones. It was beyond infuriating.
We were told we’d have our gallery link “later [that] week” and as well as the promise of a few prints for our troubles of waiting (My husband ordered them on September 5th and I’m sure it goes without saying, but it’s September 28th and we still do not have prints). Again, lousy communication, we didn’t receive the link to our photos until August 2nd.
As if this plot wasn’t thick enough, there were photos missing from the gallery. We had taken some photos in the middle of a street and I knew after we took it that I wanted one for our thank you cards, but they were nowhere to be found. Again, my husband emailed Daniel on August 3rd, because I was too hot headed to get a non-offensive email out, looking for these specific photos. Absolute crickets. He followed up with Daniel AGAIN on August 10th. We didn’t hear from him until the 12th, with an excuse of confusion as to why our gallery wasn’t updated. He claimed to have fixed this problem early in the week, except I had gone through the gallery looking for some photos to send to my mom the day before (9th) and still didn’t see them.
I’m scrolling through the “updated” gallery and there are more than just the street photos that have been added. I lost count after 15 but I imagine there were to be about 20-30+ photos that were only added because my husband asked. This has been corroborated by several of my friends and family who noticed the same.
It’s taken me some time for my experience with The DV Image to not cloud my entire feelings on my wedding. It’s embarrassing to have chosen a vendor that has carried on like some Joe Schmo off the street and not a Wedding Wire perfectly reviewed professional. I’ve shown the photos to several photographers who have noted with dismay on how poorly lit the photos are and the clear lack of sufficient editing needed to eliminate shadows. I hired a Black hair stylist and a Black makeup artist so I would be confident that my look would be suited to me by people who knew how to do my hair and makeup for my skin. I would have thought a Black photographer would know better, but again, that’s what I get for assuming.
My husband and I have decided to retake wedding photos on our one year anniversary because of this experience, and because we never got engagement photos. Rest assured, we will absolutely not be contacting Daniel Verley to handle this shoot.
