Pick Courtney as your seamstress - you won’t regret it!
Courtney is the kindest and most knowledgable person to alter your wedding dressI bought my dress in NYC but wanted alterations in the Philadelphia area to reduce the travel time; I searched for places that would not only be affordable but trustworthy, even though I really only needed basic alterations (hem, take in waist, and bustle). Lo and hold, The Dress Matters has a flat-rate alterations package for those 3 things and also has an angel of a seamstress, Courtney! (Just note that there is a small fee for dresses bought elsewhere, added to the flat-rate of the alterations package) I had 3 appointments with her before taking my dress home, and I was blown away at every appointment when she explained all details of what she did or planned to do. She was meticulous and wanted to make sure that there was nothing out of place when I stood, sat down, and walked around in my dress. I couldn’t have asked for a better seamstress to alter my dress and make it a seamless experience. Pick Courtney - you won’t regret it! -

I loved my experience with The Dress Matters! They were very helpful in finding several options within my (lower) budget. Despite being a small shop they had a wide variety of dress styles. Staff are friendly, knowledgeable, and patient. -

I cannot thank The Dress Matters for helping me select my dream dress for my wedding. It was gorgeous, vintage and fit our Great Gatsby theme. Everyone loved the dress! If you want a one of a kind dress, by exclusive designers, then come here! They are very professiona,l, very attentive and their alterations person is a sweetheart! -

I had originally gone to The Dress Matters because I saw a designer that I was interested in was having a trunk sale there one weekend. I tried on about 8 dresses, and bought one of them for $200 off because of the trunk sale, so my dress was a steal for under $1000! Debbie and the seamstress Courtney have been such a pleasure to work with, and Courtney made some alterations to create my dream dress! The only minor issues I had is it's such a small shop with limited parking, that I sometimes parked across the street on a side street and that I had to store the wedding dress at my house. -

The Dress Matters staff were all wonderful! They helped me find my perfect gown! I was able to purchase my dream dress on the first day of dress shopping! I did alterations with them as well which was convenient for me. -

They are the first shop that I went to when searching for dresses! I emailed the owner a few days before looking for a specific dress to see if they had it. They did not but she emailed the designer and got it in for me! That is going above and beyond if you Ask me! When I got there I tried on a few different dresses but knew the one I wanted! I am so happy I have gone to the dress matters! -

Even though I didn't purchase my wedding dress from The Dress Matters, that did not effect the quality and care they took to make my dress look amazing! I looked like a princess thanks to this awesome team. I also found my bridesmaid dresses there, and they arrived so quickly and were a great price! Check this place out, you won't regret getting your dress from there! -

This is a small boutique, but they have a great selection of dresses. The prices are great! I found a beautiful dress and had alterations done. I was extremely happy with how the dress turned out. I received excellent service everytime I interacted with any staff at The Dress Matters! -

Caroline Sent on 01/24/2018I went to The Dress Matters for alterations. It was simple to schedule an appointment. I worked with Mehta and she was wonderful! I brought in a strapless dress that needed to be taken in slightly. I had also bought some additional lace and brought it to the appointment with the intention of making straps for the dress. Mehta took my idea and made it even better! The dress came out amazing and the alterations survived the entire wedding, dancing and all. Mehta made the experience great as she was able to give suggestions without being critical and taught me how to wear the dress comfortably and move easily. I would highly recommend working with her for alterations! -

Michelle Sent on 06/11/2018Small shop in a house. Difficult parking. Could use a good cleaning. Decent selection of dresses. Frustrating for alterations. I had to go in 4 times for simple things. Became rather frustrating.
