The wedding band was one of the most important aspects of our wedding for me and the Dapper Gents delivered! I was looking for less of a typical "wedding band" and their folk-rock style was absolutely perfect. Jacob was so easy to work with and our guests absolutely loved them too! They set the perfect tone for our wedding and we cannot recommend them enough! -

Jacob and Danny's acoustic set was so perfect for our ceremony and cocktail hour! It added a touch of fun class with modern songs mixed in (think Bridgerton vibes ;)). They are wonderful to work with, too! -

Incredible Band!
Every guest at our wedding was blown away by The Dapper Gents’ performance. Multiple people made it a point to tell us they were the best wedding band they’ve seen, and that it was like being at a concert. The band was able to play all of our specific songs for all of our dances and are incredibly easy to work with. Would recommend for any wedding, any venue! -

The Dapper Gents were the absolute perfect live band for our wedding. Jake especially is super awesome to work with and has so much experience with the industry that it was completely stress free for us. Our wedding was at a camp on Sebago Lake and The Dapper Gents fit our music vibe to a T. And they DELIVERED. From setting up, ceremony, cocktail hour, to reception everything was so so smooth. Our guests were so impressed with their talent and we spent the entire night dancing. We also highly recommend seeing them live as we discovered them first seeing them live at Bull Feeney’s in Portland. You will no regrets booking this band!! -

One of the best decisions
We couldn’t be happier with The Dapper Gents for our wedding! From the very beginning, their professionalism was evident, and they truly went above and beyond to make our special day unforgettable.
During the cocktail hour, the band played a beautiful selection of music that perfectly set the tone—elegant yet playful, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere for our guests. It was the ideal backdrop as everyone mingled on the lawn of the 1812 Farm (Bristol, ME) and chatted and celebrated.
For the ceremony, they learned the specific songs we requested. The song, played on the cello, was so beautiful.
Once it was time to dance, the DJ from The Dapper Gents expertly curated a playlist (that we got to have a voice in the selection) that got everyone on the floor and kept the energy high all night long.
The talent and dedication of The Dapper Gents made our wedding truly special. We’re so grateful for their amazing work. If you’re looking for a fun and professional group to elevate your event, look no further than The Dapper Gents! -

My fiancé and I got married at a barn venue in Dayton, Maine on 5/18 and had the Dapper Gents for our ceremony, reception and cocktail hour. We saw them in Portland and loved them right away. They were timely and responsive leading up to the wedding and carefully considered our requests. They also set up a sound system and music stand for my grandma who officiated. Their ceremony acoustic music was beautiful and the cocktail hour music was wonderful in the background. They were able to dj some special requests for first dance/ parent dances then had all our guests dancing for the reception. They really struck a balance between playing our favorites and going with what the crowd was loving- we had guests from 5 to 75 dancing all night! We cannot recommend the Gents enough, they made our reception so fun and memorable. -

The Dapper Gents were the perfect selection for our NYE wedding!! Jake was professional and incredibly easy to work with. The band blended good jams, romantic cello, dancing, and New Year’s Eve perfectly and even went above and beyond to adapt a Hamilton song for a surprise Matron of Honor musical toast! Folks were dancing all night! -

Wonderful night
So glad we had the Dapper Gents at our wedding celebration. They are such a great band and fun people, it really brought the whole event together. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for great live music at their wedding. Everyone raved about them afterwards and a they provided great mix of music that fit the vibe. -

We truly had the best experience with The Dapper Gents! They played such an important role in making our wedding so magical and memorable. We knew that music was a priority on our wedding day, and we wanted something special. The Dapper Gents band was everything we could have hoped for and so much more: We had a total blast dancing with our guests all night to their amazing setlist! The Dapper Gents went above and beyond to make our wedding reception all that we dreamed of-- from working with us prior to the wedding to plan out the evening, to accommodating our song requests and playlists, to coordinating announcement making and microphones for speeches. Their professionalism and expertise throughout the whole experience helped everything go so smoothly so that we could all just relax and enjoy the special day. Many of our guests told us afterwards that our wedding was "the most fun" wedding they've ever been to-- we know we have The Dapper Gents to thank for this! -

Had the whole wedding on the dancefloor!
The Dapper Gents were amazing! They had everyone dancing at some point during the night and just generally awesome to watch them perform. We had so many people talking about them after our wedding. Definitely a highlight for the night. Also they were super easy to work with and nailed our first dance song. -

The Dapper Gents performed for our ceremony, cocktail hour and reception at our wedding in October. I am still so stunned at what an amazing job they did with everything.
Leading up to the wedding their communication was top notch. Jacob took the time to chat about our vision and his approachable/down-to-earth nature sealed the deal. He both helped with our vision, but also made recommendations along the way.
They accommodated special requests for the Mother/Son dance, learned (and totally crushed) several songs that are very important to us the the ceremony and first dance, and then their whole set list for the night was right on point. They strike a balance of genres that both represented our music taste, but also got everyone on the dance floor. They came with such great energy and helped to make our night amazing.
10/10 recommend!! -

Amazing group, vibe and atmosphere
Danny and Jake performed in an intimate outdoor ceremony for us and we are so so thrilled that we went with them. Despite many changes throughout the pandemic, Jake was responsive, considerate and flexible with us. They really set the tone for the event and took it from a casual outdoor ceremony to an elegant affair. Our friends and family had a wonderful time and even danced through the day. They even learned our first dance song and a surprise song for the groom. The entire group is exceedingly talented and really gave us the soundtrack and atmosphere that made the day so special. Can't recommend them enough! -

We loved working with these guys! They played custom music for our ceremony and then a wonderful cocktail hour. They made everything a breeze from easy payment to prompt emails to set lists, and acoustics outdoors, these guys know how to wow a crowd and a bride and groom! -

We were so happy to have Jacob and Danny at our wedding this October on Peaks Island! They are extremely talented and played beautifully for our ceremony and cocktail hour and learned the John Mayer version of Beyonce’s “XO” for our first dance (and even sent a recording in advance so we could practice) - we absolutely loved it. Jacob then became the DJ for our reception and the dance floor was never empty. They were super and easy to work with, we would absolutely recommend the Dapper Gents! -

My husband and I chose The Dapper Gents as our wedding band because of the flexibility of their offering. We knew we wanted a live band because we are pretty big music fans but we also appreciated that some wedding guests just like to dance to pop music. Jake and the Dapper Gents allowed us to have live ceremony music, cocktail hour appropriate music, live band music sets and DJ sets within the reception as a bit of a one stop shop. Jake also learned a custom mash up of Greensky Bluegrass which was amazing. The value of this band is tremendous, we had lots of wedding guests comment on how great they are and they were really a treat. Very talented, very fun over all awesome band! -

The Dapper Gents are so talented and were perfect for our backyard wedding. Guests are still talking about how much they loved them and how fitting they were with our wedding vibe. They were also VERY accommodating and flexible...I am not a great planner and changed the timeline of our night at least 5 times, and every time Jake just said 'Sure! All manageable!'...They even covered Halo by Beyonce for us (which was a pretty last minute request). Hands down would hire them again. -

Dapper Gents MADE our wedding. We knew we loved them from attending their shows at Bullfeeney’s, but it was so fun to watch how much our guests loved them. By the end of the night, it felt like a concert and the crowd was chanting for an encore (which the Dap Gents kindly obliged until we actually needed to get people on the shuttles). Do not hesitate to book them! Your guests of all ages will be dancing all night. They also learned by father/daughter dance request with a relatively short turnaround time and did an amazing job. 10 out of 10. -

We couldn’t imagine our wedding day without The Dapper Gents. We have seen Danny and Jake (The Duo) play in Portland, ME many times, and have always loved their style. When we heard the full band play this fall, we knew they were it! Our guests are still talking about how amazing they were. These guys made the party. We are so happy that they agreed to travel to the middle of nowhere western MA to play at our wedding. Only thing we could have asked for was a longer night!
Jake was very professional and great to communicate with throughout the entire planning process. We were so happy with our experience with The Dapper Gents, and can’t recommend them enough! Jake kept us on schedule and the night went seamlessly. He was very helpful with our musical choices, and even learned our first dance song last minute and killed it! Thank you so much for making our day so special!

The Dapper Gents (Danny and Jake) played our wedding and they were a major hit!!! I knew live music was a must for our wedding, but wasn't sure they'd be able to travel all the way to Madison,ME for our small wedding... But they were more than willing and super flexible with song choices and schedules for the big day. I thoroughly enjoyed having such a unique duo play the wedding and it made for an amazing wedding day. Thank you Danny and Jake!! -

Perfect Wedding Band
My wife and I hired the Dapper Gents to play our wedding in Searsport, ME. They were well worth the money. Our guests loved the band and danced to every song. They kept the night lively and exciting. I would highly recommend them to anyone! -

Talented musicians - Customer Friendly!
The Dapper Gents had a great setlist for playing at the wedding ceremony and cocktail party. However, when we asked them to learn two more songs, they agreed right away. Easy to work with and very talented.... -
