    Incredible Band!

    Every guest at our wedding was blown away by The Dapper Gents’ performance. Multiple people made it a point to tell us they were the best wedding band they’ve seen, and that it was like being at a concert. The band was able to play all of our specific songs for all of our dances and are incredibly easy to work with. Would recommend for any wedding, any venue!

    So thankful for the Dapper Gents being part of our big day! They played the hits at our reception in Camden, Maine and they had all of our friends and family on the dance floor. Very professional through the whole process with quick email replies and very receptive to our vision and requests. Highly recommend the Dapper Gents for any event!

    Best wedding band ever!!!

    The Dapper Gents were the absolute perfect live band for our wedding. Jake especially is super awesome to work with and has so much experience with the industry that it was completely stress free for us. Our wedding was at a camp on Sebago Lake and The Dapper Gents fit our music vibe to a T. And they DELIVERED. From setting up, ceremony, cocktail hour, to reception everything was so so smooth. Our guests were so impressed with their talent and we spent the entire night dancing. We also highly recommend seeing them live as we discovered them first seeing them live at Bull Feeney’s in Portland. You will no regrets booking this band!!

    Amazing music for all parts of our day!

    My fiancé and I got married at a barn venue in Dayton, Maine on 5/18 and had the Dapper Gents for our ceremony, reception and cocktail hour. We saw them in Portland and loved them right away. They were timely and responsive leading up to the wedding and carefully considered our requests. They also set up a sound system and music stand for my grandma who officiated. Their ceremony acoustic music was beautiful and the cocktail hour music was wonderful in the background. They were able to dj some special requests for first dance/ parent dances then had all our guests dancing for the reception. They really struck a balance between playing our favorites and going with what the crowd was loving- we had guests from 5 to 75 dancing all night! We cannot recommend the Gents enough, they made our reception so fun and memorable.

    One of the best decisions

    We couldn’t be happier with The Dapper Gents for our wedding! From the very beginning, their professionalism was evident, and they truly went above and beyond to make our special day unforgettable.

    During the cocktail hour, the band played a beautiful selection of music that perfectly set the tone—elegant yet playful, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere for our guests. It was the ideal backdrop as everyone mingled on the lawn of the 1812 Farm (Bristol, ME) and chatted and celebrated.

    For the ceremony, they learned the specific songs we requested. The song, played on the cello, was so beautiful.

    Once it was time to dance, the DJ from The Dapper Gents expertly curated a playlist (that we got to have a voice in the selection) that got everyone on the floor and kept the energy high all night long.

    The talent and dedication of The Dapper Gents made our wedding truly special. We’re so grateful for their amazing work. If you’re looking for a fun and professional group to elevate your event, look no further than The Dapper Gents!

    Book them--You won't be disappointed!!

    Choosing the Dapper Gents for our wedding music was one of the best decisions we made. They were extremely professional. They set up the mics for the wedding and a microphone for a short reading. The music during the ceremony and the music for the cocktail hour were both highlights. And, perhaps most importantly, they kept all of us on the dance floor (entertaining guests of all ages). Book them now! We chose the package of live music for the ceremony and cocktail hour and then DJ for the rest of the night. I love how many packages they offer. I cannot say enough good things about them.

    Dynamite, adaptable band. Perfect for our NYE celebration!

    The Dapper Gents were the perfect selection for our NYE wedding!! Jake was professional and incredibly easy to work with. The band blended good jams, romantic cello, dancing, and New Year’s Eve perfectly and even went above and beyond to adapt a Hamilton song for a surprise Matron of Honor musical toast! Folks were dancing all night!

    Wonderful Band

    Jacob and his fellow musicians did a wonderful job performing for our wedding in rural Maine. Their live music was a great touch to our intimate setting. We would recommend them to any couples on the search!!

    Wonderful night

    So glad we had the Dapper Gents at our wedding celebration. They are such a great band and fun people, it really brought the whole event together. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for great live music at their wedding. Everyone raved about them afterwards and a they provided great mix of music that fit the vibe.

    Wedding Reception of our Dreams!

    We truly had the best experience with The Dapper Gents! They played such an important role in making our wedding so magical and memorable. We knew that music was a priority on our wedding day, and we wanted something special. The Dapper Gents band was everything we could have hoped for and so much more: We had a total blast dancing with our guests all night to their amazing setlist! The Dapper Gents went above and beyond to make our wedding reception all that we dreamed of-- from working with us prior to the wedding to plan out the evening, to accommodating our song requests and playlists, to coordinating announcement making and microphones for speeches. Their professionalism and expertise throughout the whole experience helped everything go so smoothly so that we could all just relax and enjoy the special day. Many of our guests told us afterwards that our wedding was "the most fun" wedding they've ever been to-- we know we have The Dapper Gents to thank for this!

    The best!!!

    Hiring Jacob and Danny to play our ceremony then DJ our reception was the best choice we could have made! They were so wonderful and flexible with our requests, they truly made our day as special as it could be! Highly recommend!

    Had the whole wedding on the dancefloor!

    The Dapper Gents were amazing! They had everyone dancing at some point during the night and just generally awesome to watch them perform. We had so many people talking about them after our wedding. Definitely a highlight for the night. Also they were super easy to work with and nailed our first dance song.

    Amazing duo

    We were psyched to have the Dapper Gents play at our wedding. They really are top notch musicians but also very down to earth people. Jacob was very accommodating throughout the process and everyone raved about the music. We love them!!

    Fantastic Wedding Band & DJ!

    The Dapper Gents helped to make our wedding day a great success! They were the perfect mix of professional and fun. Not only did they provide microphone and audio support, they provided live acoustic music for the ceremony and DJ music for dancing.     Made our day magical

    Can’t say enough good things about working with Jacob from dapper gents. He reached out to us after we had inquired with another musician who our friends had used who was already booked and expressed that he was available for our date. We hired Jacob to do singing and acoustic guitar through our ceremony and cocktail hour and then switched over to being our DJ for the reception. His voice and skills and unreal and he really made our day so special. He was willing to learn multiple songs that we wanted to have played and was a breeze to work with. He was great with communicating his pricing was very fair for how wonderful he was. Cannot recommend him enough! Thank you Jacob from the bottom of our hearts!

    They killed it as usual

    It’s been over a year since they played at our wedding, so I apologize to Jake and Danny…..but we saw them play again tonight and they killed it as usual. They played our wedding on 5/7/22, and they were amazing. We had to postpone and reschedule, and they very flexible and easy to work with. Great communication and very personable. Everyone at our wedding was blown away with them. I wanted them to steal the show, and they did! I have been watching them play since my Portland days. I’ve seen them play in Portland, Boston, Portsmouth, and now Dover. If you’re considering hiring The Dapper Gents for any occasion, do it!!!

    The Actual Best

    The Dapper Gents performed for our ceremony, cocktail hour and reception at our wedding in October. I am still so stunned at what an amazing job they did with everything.
    Leading up to the wedding their communication was top notch. Jacob took the time to chat about our vision and his approachable/down-to-earth nature sealed the deal. He both helped with our vision, but also made recommendations along the way.
    They accommodated special requests for the Mother/Son dance, learned (and totally crushed) several songs that are very important to us the the ceremony and first dance, and then their whole set list for the night was right on point. They strike a balance of genres that both represented our music taste, but also got everyone on the dance floor. They came with such great energy and helped to make our night amazing.

    10/10 recommend!!

    Excellent Band!

    Loved having The Dapper Gents play at our wedding! Jake was very responsive communicating via email, and everything, from planning to day-of performance, was super smooth. We had them play as a two-piece acoustic band during our ceremony and cocktail hour. Such a perfect addition to our celebration!

    Absolutely Recommend!

    We were thrilled to have Jake and the Dapper Gents perform at our wedding this July up in Wiscasset, Maine. Despite needing to push our wedding out a year as a result of the pandemic, Jake remained flexible, reachable and a joy to connect with as we went about re-planning our big event. We ended up having Jake and Danny as a string duet for the ceremony and cocktail hour, both of which they nailed! They even perfectly learned a handful of songs for the day, including an unreal cover of 'Rihanna - We Found Love'. After dinner we pivoted to having Jake DJ for the dancing. We had a pretty good feel for the specific jams our guests wanted to party to and Jake was truly accommodating as we worked through playlists and do-not-plays. He even made sure my 3-year-old niece got to hear and perform to her favorite song "Bubble Butt" surrounded by our laughing guests before she retired for the evening. All in all it was a perfect day and a huge part of that was thanks to the super-talented Dapper Gents. We absolutely recommend!

    Amazing group, vibe and atmosphere

    Danny and Jake performed in an intimate outdoor ceremony for us and we are so so thrilled that we went with them. Despite many changes throughout the pandemic, Jake was responsive, considerate and flexible with us. They really set the tone for the event and took it from a casual outdoor ceremony to an elegant affair. Our friends and family had a wonderful time and even danced through the day. They even learned our first dance song and a surprise song for the groom. The entire group is exceedingly talented and really gave us the soundtrack and atmosphere that made the day so special. Can't recommend them enough!

    Knocked it out of the park, great choice!

    My husband and I chose The Dapper Gents as our wedding band because of the flexibility of their offering. We knew we wanted a live band because we are pretty big music fans but we also appreciated that some wedding guests just like to dance to pop music. Jake and the Dapper Gents allowed us to have live ceremony music, cocktail hour appropriate music, live band music sets and DJ sets within the reception as a bit of a one stop shop. Jake also learned a custom mash up of Greensky Bluegrass which was amazing. The value of this band is tremendous, we had lots of wedding guests comment on how great they are and they were really a treat. Very talented, very fun over all awesome band!

    Thank you!

    We were so happy to have Jacob and Danny at our wedding this October on Peaks Island! They are extremely talented and played beautifully for our ceremony and cocktail hour and learned the John Mayer version of Beyonce’s “XO” for our first dance (and even sent a recording in advance so we could practice) - we absolutely loved it. Jacob then became the DJ for our reception and the dance floor was never empty. They were super and easy to work with, we would absolutely recommend the Dapper Gents!

    Wouldn't have had it any other way!

    We loved working with these guys! They played custom music for our ceremony and then a wonderful cocktail hour. They made everything a breeze from easy payment to prompt emails to set lists, and acoustics outdoors, these guys know how to wow a crowd and a bride and groom!

    Amazing wedding night music!

    My husband and I picked to have Danny and Jake at our wedding after falling in love with them listening them play regularly in Portland when we first moved here. We hired the Dapper Duo, Danny and Jake to play the music for our ceremony and cocktail hour and then they DJ'd our reception. They did a great job and everyone loved the music all night long. It was so special to have them play an acoustic version of the ceremony music as well as our first dance, and then Jake had the crowd dancing from the time the reception started until the final song. We would highly recommend them as your wedding band!
