Earl was the DJ of my dreams!!! He played the best songs, created the most amazing mixes (my millennial heart almost couldn’t handle how incredible the mixes were) and kept our guests dancing all night long! Best DJ ever!
Amazing! Booked DJ Earl for our Charleston Wedding. From start to finish DJ Earl was very professional and thoughtful. He kept people out on the dance floor throughout the entire reception and was very diligent about playing songs that we had requested. In addition, he was a wonderful and fun MC throughout the night in navigating intros and toasts.

Don’t skip on Earl!
Earl was exactly what we were looking for to set the vibe for our big day! He had a call with us to learn about our vision and connected us with a sax player to accompany him. He uses an app so you can work at your own pace on the set list. Before the big day we had another call to confirm all the details. On the day of he helped us to have the groom play a song on piano and got our conga line bumping. He brings the energy and fun! Everyone was dancing, even people who typically don’t. Highly recommend!

Amazing!
Y’all would be absolutely crazy to not hire The Dance Doctors!
The moment we had our first conversation I knew Earl was the man! I specifically wanted high energy/bangers/classic/Spanish music and let me tell you, Earl did not disappoint. The only disappointment I had was that we couldn’t keep dancing all night long! Our guests raved about Earls’ sick music transitions between so many different genres of music! Our dance floor was popping the entire time!! No seriously I want to get married to my husband again just to have Earl again!
They also provided a very cool photo booth and we got extra lights to really elevate our venue like a club!
We love Earl so much!

Incredible DJ, The Best Night!
I can't say enough great things about Dance Doctors! They came recommended from my wedding planner and made everything so easy. They sent over a website a few months before the wedding to input our song choices and recommendations, which was so much fun and kept everything organized. Our wedding DJ, Tim, was phenomenal - from the second dancing started to the last song, the dance floor at our reception was packed! Tim did such a great job mixing in our suggestions and a few must plays into an incredible night of music that was inclusive to all of the age groups and kept everyone dancing. Not only that, Tim was fun and energetic - we had several guests come up to us and say how awesome he was. We couldn't have agreed more! Thank you so much for an incredible night!

Leading up to our wedding, he was very professional, responsive, and flexible. He even mixed together two songs for a surprise father/daughter dance. The Dance Doctors were awesome. Earl Newell was my most responsive vendor. He always emailed me back right away and took the time to go over our wedding day timeline to be sure we chose songs for all the important parts of the day. He showed up early to get set up for the reception. He even included cool lights for the dance floor! Everyone remarked how awesome it was to see people on the dance floor all night and that was because The Dance Doctors kept the music flowing seamlessly. Earl made our wedding so special. Amazing - no better dj
Every single person, including our 80+ grandparents were dancing to EDM, oldies, etc. NO ONE was sitting at their tables. The photographer and videographer said they have NEVER seen so many people have so MUCH FUN and be so joyful. Definitely a YES

What to say about Earl! I cannot even put into words how amazing working with Dance Doctors was. Amazing Experience

It was a PARTY!
Earl made my wedding! I couldn’t recommend him enough. He was referred by a fellow bride, a friend, and I referred him to another bride. Although it rained on my wedding day (even though it said it wouldn’t) he managed to move and keep the party going! We danced all night to the very end. He was such a pleasure to work with. His app for music was user friendly and helped not only for the ceremony but for me to easily give him some songs to play for my family & friends to enjoy. His set up was clean and beautiful.
The photobooth was such a hit as well! Everyone enjoyed it ♥️

We were blown away! Not only did he stay in touch through all the pandemic chaos he was also very attentive.
I have a food allergy and during our meal he noticed something was wrong and come over to check. He went and got me a new plate and food before the restaurant staff noticed!

Awesome, Attentive DJ
I thoroughly enjoyed working with Dance Doctors for my 10/10/20 wedding. Earl was so helpful and patient with me as I cancelled, rescheduled, and downsized. I never once felt like I was working with a vendor. He was more like a fellow member of a group project (I.E. my wedding).
And Josh is just as amazing! I had a very last minute change in music (sorry!) and he worked with me to make sure that the lineup was just as I imagined.
Josh also partnered well with my saxophonist to ensure that I had the processional of my dreams. And, he was just incredibly friendly and a pleasure to be around.

Earl with the Dance Doctors was phenomenal! We recently got married at the Creek Club at Ion during COVID and Earl was so easy to work with and accommodating. October wedding
Earl was amazing at our October wedding. I planned our entire wedding and music ended up last on my list to think about, which became stressful leading up to the big day. The Dance Doctors are something special. They make your wedding experience enjoyable and non-stressful. Picking a DJ can be hard but with these guys its easy! They give you an APP where you upload songs you want to be played, and even the particular's including the first dance, garter toss, etc. Such a great group of DJ's. We needed one in a short amount of time and they came right in and helped ASAP. Would recommend to ANYONE and already have :) Very affordable I might add!

We had such a great time at our wedding with Earl as the DJ. We knew we had a lot of people coming that liked to dance, but he really cranked it up a notch and got everyone in the dance floor, even the ones we didn’t expect. Earl Newell at The Dance Doctors not only took the time to get to know us ahead of time but also helped us with special requests! He utilized an awesome app that we shared with our wedding party to help create an awesome playlist ahead of time which he used to customize our whole night! We had everything planned out and had no worries going into the wedding. We were outdoors and he made sure everything happened flawlessly. His lighting wasn’t over the top flashy and was just right for what we needed. He not only kept us dancing all night but also incorporated all ages on the dance floor! He just listened to exactly what we wanted and nailed it all night long! People are still talking about it over a month later which is exactly what you want after your wedding. There are not enough superlatives in the English language to properly express my satisfaction with Earl Newell and the Dance Doctors, and how thankful I am that he blessed our wedding as our DJ. Earl came highly recommended on all local social media wedding pages, and he delivered on all of those recommendations to the fullest! He responded to emails and questions in a super timely manner, had this FABULOUS personalized app that we used to input our preferred music, and kept our dance floor busy all night. His personality is infectious, and it’s easy to see how passionate he is about ensuring you have the best wedding experience possible. It was even better that he provided uplighting for us as well which added the best ambience to our reception area. His DJ setup was VERY professional and his years of experience was evident. Earl is the BEST! I've literally never been to a wedding like a wedding that he's DJing. He Dj'd my wedding and my best friends, both of them had TONS of people on the dance floor. We had so much fun with Earl. And he really likes to get to know his clients which I truly appreciate. We recommend him to all of our friends, you won't regret using him.

We loved having Earl as our DJ! We told him we wanted everyone to have fun and for people to be dancing all night and that's just want we got! He's totally professional while being fun at the same time; highly recommended!

Earl Newell with the Dance Doctors was absolutely outstanding and I am SO happy to have used him for my recent wedding at the Cooper River Room in Mount Pleasant. First and foremost, Earl was a kind, thoughtful, and caring person to work with from the start. He took time to meet with both my fiancee (now husband) and I early on in order to get to know us and learn about us as a couple. He was easy to get in touch with via phone, email, and text and communicated with me throughout the entire wedding planning process. In addition, Earl was incredibly organized and detail-oriented, ensuring that everything we desired for our big day was noted well in advance. When it came time for the day of the wedding, Earl delivered an unbelievably great time in the form of music. He setup and handled the music for the ceremony procession and it was such a relief knowing that such an important part of the day was in good hands. Then, once the ceremony was over, he seamlessly transitioned over to cocktail hour, then dinnertime, and reception party time. His song selections were perfect from start to finish no matter what point in the evening it was. When it was time to dance, he had everyone on their feet and truly contributed in making our evening perfect. Thank you so much, Earl, for everything! I encourage anyone to hire Earl for your next event, wedding or not. You will not regret it as he was outstanding!

Earl, Was amazing he was called in last minuet for our package deal because our DJ cancelled last min. I have never been so happy for someone to cancel. Earl, Played all of the songs we wanted even without having a list because he was hired last minuet. He also downloaded a song we had requested for our neighbors because it was their anniversary too. I would recommend the dance doctors for your wedding defiantly the best in town!!

From our first meeting with DJ Earl, we knew we wanted him on our wedding "team". It's plain to see how he honestly cares about each couple and strives to contribute to the wedding as much as he can. When the wedding day finally came, he was there set up ready to go early, you never even saw the speakers outside during the ceremony (still don't know where he hid them), the Dj table setup was professional and aesthetically clean, and he even included the most amazing uplighting. His timing throughout the night on announcements and songs was flawless, as was his ability to read the crowd and change genres in order to get more folks up and dancing. So glad we had him there with us on our wedding day and if we had to do over our wedding again, we'd hire him again in a heartbeat, no question.

If you are looking for a DJ for your wedding then I urge you to stop looking and book Earl this minute. He is the absolute best DJ that you can get and he even does awesome lighting. We love Earl so much that we brought him down to Disney World to DJ our wedding. We had to pay Disney extra money to allow us to bring in an outside DJ and we were happy to do so because we knew that the quality we were going to receive was far better than we could have asked for. This guy goes above and beyond to make your reception the best thing ever. I'm a wedding videographer myself so I know that a DJ can make or break a reception so don't let ANYTHING get in the way of having the best possible reception that you can have, hire Earl. You will not regret this wedding decision in slightest.

Earl is by far the best DJ around!! He DJ'd my wedding April 15th and we had an older group of people, Earl had everyone on the dance floor all night!! We had so many people come up and ask who picked the music!! I cannot thank him enough for everything and the amazing job he did!

DJ Earl and his team did a phenomenal job at our wedding! They were amazing !! He was so organized, very prompt with responses and was so helpful throughout the entire planning process. He made some great suggestions for song choices and the flow of the reception. He met with us to go over all the details and we felt so at ease afterwards. At the reception our guest never left the dance floor. We have heard from so many of our guest it was the most fun they've ever had at a wedding reception and we owe that to DJ Earl and his team. My husband and I had a blast dancing too! We've already recommended DJ Earl to our friends and family who are planning their upcoming weddings. This is by far the best DJ in Charleston. If you are going back and forth between a DJ or a band, I 100% recommend this DJ. Earl will accommodate his playlist to meet your interests. Our guests hardly left the dance floor. We had a blast and most importantly, what he played was a reflection of us.

Earl was the best DJ we could have possibly picked!!! From the start he was courteous, professional and knowledgeable. He was able to show up and get set up, without me even knowing he was there (which was extremely helpful because I didn't have a wedding planner so I was very busy). Everyone had a blast and danced non-stop. He catered to the entire crowd and had every person on their feet. He also helped me handle the timing of the wedding. We were running way behind and he saved the whole wedding allowing us time for everything we wanted for our perfect night. I absolutely recommend Earl and Dance Doctors to anyone.

Earl was amazing! Not only did he do a great job at the wedding, but he saved us by being our DJ with only 4 days to go when our previously booked DJ went out of business and neglected to tell us until it was almost too late. Earl really helped me from having a last minute nervous breakdown trying to book another DJ and figuring out all the logistics. He is so sweet and you won't regret booking him for your wedding. 5 start for sure!! Thanks Earl!!

Earl was the best DJ. Awesome song plays, and he did exactly what I asked him!!! He was very responsive in emails, phone calls and texts. I screwed up the line up when the wedding party was introduced, so that was on me, but other than that, I couldn't of asked for a better DJ. I actually found him on The Knot website and it was one of the best decisions that I made. I will recommend him to everyone. Also, he has the best light shows and was very pleased with the atmosphere that he created. JOB WELL DONE EARL!!!!!!!!! You rocked my wedding and I know my guest appreciated it.

Earl was the DJ at our wedding last weekend and was absolutely amazing! The music was great, he kept people dancing all night and even brought cool light sticks for the kids! He also did two awesome lighted monograms for us - one on the wall and one on the dance floor! Some of these things were total surprises for us and great additions to our wedding! He's very generous and very affordable! As far as planning our special day, he kept in touch regularly and made great suggestions for song selections and timing of events during the reception! He really listened to what we wanted at our reception and wedding and made sure everything was perfect! Even our guests and the owners of the reception hall commented on how great he was!

Wow! Earl was incredible. The absolute perfect fit for our party. This was a challenging event in that we needed music for cocktail hour and dinner as well as for dancing afterwards, and for a really diverse (young and older) crowd. He met our needs perfectly, gauged the crowd for what to play next, got even some of the more staid executives up and moving, and kept a smile on his face for the entire event. Highly recommend him and will certainly call on him again for future events. GREAT job!

Earl performed for conference at the Charleston Marriott. During the contracting phase, Earl was incredibly professional and well-mannered. Dance Doctors were amazing!! We had our wedding on June 10th, and two weeks later my feet still hurt from dancing! Every time I felt like I needed to get off of the floor for a break another great song came on that kept everyone moving. I would definitely recommend Earl and the Dance Doctors to every bride out there. He is very professional and prompt when dealing with his clients. And during the wedding you won't have to worry about anyone standing in a corner, he even got the people who feared dancing out there. Great job! Thank you!

He was amazing! I felt like we danced all night. Everyone from our wedding loved the music. He even brought foam glow sticks that were a hit with the many kids we had. He did awesome playing a wide range of music genres. He meet our needs perfectly and was affordable. If you are looking to dance all night long, the Dance Doctors DJs is amazing!

We had a multicultural wedding and I was worried that a Charleston DJ wouldn't do my culture justice. Earl was so accommodating and reviewed every song including the little traditions and dances that go with each song. He's also great at anticipating which songs will get the crowd dancing. Highly recommended!

More interested in his phone than entertainment
Tyrone and his so called "hype-man" being hired for my wedding was the biggest mistake. From ceremony to the reception it was a disaster. The exit song for the ceremony was delayed, he disappeared from cock-tail hour and was found in the parking lot. He rushed through everything during the reception. Cut my first dance song by less than half! Played the daughter/mother song for to long. Played the wrong song during the garter removal and then required/demanded the garter toss was after the bouquet toss regardless of our wishes for order of events. We did an anniversary dance that lasted less than 20 seconds barely allowing guest to participate!!!! I specifically asked there to be dance music and slow songs played all night and you would have thought I asked for only music that you hop around to all night long. And the level of volume of the music playing was so loud I could barely understand what songs were being half played. And even after several requests to turn it down because I was getting guest and police complaint about the volume, he did nothing to fix it. Now I can admit I loaded the wrong song into their app for the last dance song and when I apologized for the mistake asked if they can find the song I had intended to be played he was more interested in making sure I knew I was at fault than just fixing it. I Had heard nothing but great things about Earl and maybe if I had him this wouldn't have happened. But if you book here and you find out Tyrone is your DJ then program the crap out of the app and make sure he knows to not go off script and only play the songs you loaded into the app and if he says his "hype-man" will be there just know the guy sits behind the DJ stand and plays on his phone until its time to hit a button to switch to the next song then goes back on his phone. I find it hard to believe I'm the only 1 star review for them after this experience and am sure it will be removed or taken down, but hopefully ill help someone before that happens to not experience what we went through.
