During my wedding planning process I had a wedding planner quit and Carmen was there to reassure me that everything would be great, she helped coordinate with my new planner, and made sure the ball kept rolling with the design of my wedding. She is extremely professional and timely when getting back to you. She also is great at collaborating with your other vendors to be sure important details are commuincated. She listens to your vision for your wedding and is able to create your vision even better than what you could have imagined. My guests still talk about all the beautiful floral elements and flowers I had at my wedding. I could not be happier with Carmen and I would HIGHLY suggest you hire her. You will not be disappointed. -

Carmen was thoughtful, warm, and did a great job guiding me in the floral process. I was upfront with my mindset of minimal florals- just personals for myself and our bridal party- and Carmen was fully invested in the vision, bringing it to life beautifully. Her communication cadence was reassuring and fit perfectly into our overall planning timeline. She then delivered all the florals day of smoothly. The florals themselves turned out gorgeous, I was looking for a winter inspired, greenery heavy, slightly unique feel and Carmen nailed it! Couldn't have been happier. Carmen listened to all my ideas and then brought it to life. -

We worked with Carmen at The Cutting Garden for our wedding this past summer and were so happy with the results. Carmen thoughtfully listened to my vision and reviewed my mood board / inspiration photos and crafted a proposal based on that. One of the best things is that she had a wide selection of beautiful decor (candlesticks, table signage, runners etc) to choose from so we ended up using her for that too - so nice to not have to go through another vendor for those things. We got so many compliments on the floral from my wedding guests. Would definitely recommend. -

Incredible!!!
Oh my goodness where do I even begin?! Carmen came highly recommended to me and for good reason! Not only is she an INSANELY talented florist, she is also just a JOY to talk to and work with.
She took my floral vision for my wedding and brought it to life, completely blowing my expectations out of the water. Her and her team came in on wedding day and immediately I felt at ease. They set everything up SO fast, and then came back and tore everything down at the end of the night - you could tell this wasn’t their first rodeo.

If florals are important to you and you want absolutely jaw-dropping arrangements, we highly recommend the Cutting Garden. We hired Carmen to do our wedding flowers and she knocked it out of the park. We got married at Como Conservatory, so there were already plenty of flowers around, but the florals we received were even more stunning than anything else around us. We shared our floral vision with her and she completely amazed us. Highly recommend for wedding florals. -

Truly a work of art! We’re so glad we went with Carmen!
Our wedding day was beautiful, and the flowers from The Cutting Garden LLC were a big part of that. Carmen, the owner and lead designer, was absolutely a pleasure to work with. She had a keen eye for detail, an upbeat attitude, and a love for her profession that was evident in every step of the process.
We met with Carmen multiple times to discuss our vision for the flowers, and she was always willing to accommodate our requests. She also offered helpful suggestions and advice, and we felt confident that she understood our vision. Carmen has a way of making you feel comfortable as if you’ve known her for your entire life.
On the day of the wedding, the flowers were even more stunning than we had imagined. They were perfectly arranged and beautifully presented, and they added a touch of elegance to our special day. She NAILED it!
We were also impressed with the competitive prices offered by The Cutting Garden LLC. Carmen explained that she is able to offer lower prices because she operates her business without a fancy storefront which comes with reduced overhead.

What Floral Dreams Are Made Of!!!
Carmen at The Cutting Garden was an absolute dream to work with! I cannot recommend her enough. She totally customized everything to fit our style and our look to make our Hollywood glam wedding a reality. From the lush white floral bouquets, to a gorgeous ceiling install with disco balls above our dance floor that was to die for and beautiful floral arches for our ceremony and everything in between. It was so helpful that she also had furniture rental so we didn't have to use another vendor for that. It made it so much easier on us! Carmen made the planning process easy, fun, and seamless. She is so timely, professional and just amazingly talented at what she does. She and her crew worked so hard to make everything absolutely perfect. It was better than we could have ever imagined. We received numerous compliments from our guests about how beautiful the flowers were from the bouquets, boutonnieres and table decor. We also had a moon arc with greenery and floral behind us at our ceremony and utilized it behind our head table at the reception that we just loved! Everything was just absolutely stunning and Carmen and her team did such a great job on the wedding day getting everything in place and working with my coordinator and other vendors. Working with the Cutting Garden team was a great experience. During the initial consultation, Carmen listened intently to what I envisioned for my wedding while also providing ideas on how to make the day even more beautiful. After booking, Carmen was responsive to all questions (regardless of what they were) promptly. During our final design meeting, Carmen reviewed everything with us to ensure our vision hadn't changed and to make sure she didn't miss anything.
On the day of our wedding, her team came in and quickly got everything set up and then was out of the way so other vendors could do what they needed. They also arrived promptly to tear down all of the items and clean up making things super easy.
The florals turned out exactly as I was expecting and Carmen truly understood my vision for the day. I'd highly recommend working with her! -

Carmen was a delight to work with, she has fantastic energy and is amazing at converting your "Pinterest photo dream board" into a reality! She absolutely knocked it out of the park for our wedding, the flowers were so stunning people were elbowing each other out to get the chance to take them home at the end of the night. The Cutting Garden offers many different rental options as well, we rented sofas and special wicker high-back chairs for a cute little seating area indoors. She also had a variety of table runner colors and candles/hurricanes to choose from, great selection! It's too bad weddings only happen once in a lifetime because I would definitely hire Carmen again :) -

The most amazing florist!!!
Carmen is not only so wonderful to work with, but she has the most beautiful vision! Carmen was absolutely amazing! I do not know much about flowers and my husband does not like the smell of flowers, but we both LOVED the arrangements that Carmen designed. The bouquets and boutonnieres were perfect - simple and timeless using a mix of ivory floral and eucalyptus leaves and greenery. She also suggested and made the most adorable flower wand for our flower girl. Along with the bridal party floral, she made our centerpieces using local growlers we collected, our ceremony arbor arrangement, and a 20ft head table arrangement.
Communication was timely and easy. She provided a vision board and the vison and your ideas to life. We are so grateful for Carmen and all of her work. Highly recommend! -

Best Wedding Florist in the Twin Cities!!
I cannot recommend Carmen Carter and The Cutting Garden enough!! Our daughter got married at Hope Glen Farms in Cottage Grove, MN. We interviewed several florists and Carmen stood out without question. Our initial consultation was through a zoom call and she was a breath of fresh air to work with…so calm and sweet. It was evident right away that she was the most experienced, customer focused, and we loved that she had so many unique ideas. You can tell she genuinely loves what she does and treated our daughters wedding day as if it was her own. Working with Carmen was one of the highlights of our wedding planning. We gave her a vision and a modest budget and let her run with it because we felt so confident in her choices. Her communication was excellent throughout the entire process. Fast forward to the wedding day…Carmen was the first one at the venue turning this already beautiful venue into a sight like I had never seen. When I walked into the reception hall she had transformed the space into a complete fairytale. I was literally brought to tears as I was so overwhelmed. What she created was simply magical and we were all in awe. Then I walked to the outdoor pasture and was even more impressed. She even included a cross full of roses on the remembrance table for our loved ones that had recently passed away which was beyond touching. Her attention to detail is impeccable. I don't think there was one guest that did not comment on her work. If I could give her 10 stars I would!
You can go online and see her work at almost every venue in the Twin Cities. Most have her work up in their advertisements and marketing pieces. She has the ability to transform any venue into a fairytale wedding simply with her vision and floral expertise and I would be happy to share our photos so you can see them for yourself. -

Best decision ever!
Hiring Carmen was one of the best decision we made for our wedding!!! The second she brought in the florals the morning of our wedding I couldn't stop talking about how much I loved them. I would go up to everyone and ask if they had seen the bouquets yet because they were so stunning!! She literally made my Pinterest board come to life and all of the florals were everything I wanted and more. She really listened to everything we wanted and executed it perfectly. We also rented her wooden backdrop for behind our head table and it added so much to the space! I love how her and her team were in charge of the set up and tear down of florals/rented items so it was one less thing that we had to worry about. Highly highly recommend The Cutting Garden! -

First of all, Carmen was so kind and nice to work with. She listened to everything I said and the result was 1000 times better than I imagined! My jaw was on the floor when I came in and saw the table decor, in particular the floral centerpiece she created for my head table. I received so many compliments on the bouquet, the arch flowers, and the centerpieces-- many people told me mine was the most beautiful wedding they had ever been to and I credit Carmen with so much of this! Amazing Experience with The Cutting Garden
We cannot say enough good things about The Cutting Garden! Carmen was incredible to work with. So very talented, flexible when we had to change our wedding venue due to COVID-19 and also very affordable for the quality and beauty of the flowers. Carmen is the best! I knew exactly what I wanted, but it was just a picture in my mind. I had no idea what the flowers are called or what the seasonality is. She had several conversations with me to help nail down what I wanted on my day. She did all of the bridal party florals and beautiful, dark-moody arrangements for our centerpieces. My vision came to life and it added so much drama and beauty to our venue! I was so excited to finally meet her on the wedding day. Thank you, Carmen! -

Carmen was a saint to work with while planning a wedding during COVID. She was able to pivot seamlessly with every change of plan. We changed our venue last minute and with that, I needed a lot of guidance from Carmen for ideas. I sent Carmen a few pictures of our new plans and she completely blew us away with the bouquets, table settings, and arrangements for the fireplace we were getting married in front of. So happy with her work, communication, and creativity! Couldn't recommend enough! -

Best florist in the metro!
Carmen went above and beyond to make our floral arrangements and overall wedding aesthetic spectacular! Her decades of experience in floral are unmatched. In our first consultation I knew that she would flawlessly execute on our vision and worked within our budget to make cost effective (but beautiful) arrangements. She is meticulously organized and made sure that all ideas discussed came to life. I could not recommend her more! -

Carmen knows her stuff. From the first meeting I had with her she was kind and professional and helped my fiance and I work with the budget we had. One of the things that stood out to me was that she did not try and upsell us, but she genuinely helped us not to overspend and to still have wonderful flowers. When on wedding day there were a few flowers I didn't love, Carmen took them out of my bouquet and changed them on the spot. We received many compliments on how beautiful the flowers were, and I would highly recommend Carmen. -

Carmen was a dream to work with! We came to her without much direction other than colors we wanted to include and she ran with it. She created the most beautiful bouquets for myself, 6 bridesmaids and 2 flower girls. We also rented our centerpieces from her (cylinder vases, white candles and placed greenery) and they looked exactly how I was envisioning. She was so professional and had everything set up for the wedding so quickly on the day of! The thing that really blew me away was the hanging floral/greenery install that she created as our backdrop for the ceremony. I gave her a picture as inspiration and she exceeded all of my expectations when I saw it on the wedding day! We seriously loved it so much! You can really tell that Carmen loves what she does and is passionate about making couples visions come to life. She really takes the time to get to know you and is so easy to talk to. I would 100% recommend booking with Carmen! -

Ali Sent on 08/02/2018Carmen was such a delight to work with, and did an absolutely fantastic job on the floral decor for our wedding on 6/8/18. I spoke with four different florists and after speaking with Carmen, it was one of the easiest decisions I made. I immediately felt like she just "got" me and what I had in mind. I didn't have a super specific vision, just a general idea of an overall look and feel, so I was giving whoever I chose a lot of freedom to make it come to life. I had no doubts about trusting Carmen to do that. She certainly didn't disappoint-the bouquets, corsages, bouts, and decor were spectacular and beyond my expectations! With some things, it's like she read my mind-I love orchids, but didn't mention them in our consults as I figured they would be too pricey. But I get my bouquet on the wedding day, and what is in it? Orchids! The size of the bouquets, even the bridesmaids', were substantial, the moms and special attendants commented on how they loved the bracelets that the corsages were mounted on, and I loved how Carmen brought extra greenery to help give the non-floral decor items just that extra special touch. Her prices are extremely reasonable, as well, so that's a definite plus! I can't thank Carmen enough for her beautiful work, and would highly recommend her to anyone!
