A Magical Evening at The Cruz Building
My son and his wife decided to hold their wedding at The Cruz Building. This was a destination wedding since guests came from all over the country, but mainly Pennsylvania, New York, and New Jersey. Our guests were blown away by the beauty and uniqueness of The Cruz. Many have remarked that it was the most beautiful wedding that they have ever attended. Since the weather was very cooperative, we were able to make great use of the outdoor area on the 3rd level. There are 3 floors and each level is different and equally wonderful. We worked very closely with Gladys and she was so pleasant and helped us work out details and gave us helpful suggestions. We would definitely recommend this venue. -

Beautiful and Effective!
I LOVED having my wedding here! It’s the most beautiful and interesting venue that I know of in Miami. We looked at so many others for the same price that weren’t half as impressive. Every conversation I had with a wedding guest began with them telling me how gorgeous the venue was. And it offers such unique experiences- walking down the stairs for a show stopping bridal entrance, dinner booths, moving floors, great photo backdrops. They have a comfortable bridal suite and it was so fun to hang out there all day. And the guests loved being able to walk there from their hotels and to walk to bars afterward! (No bus needed). Also- the venue is so gorgeous you can save money on decorations! We went super light with flowers, lighting and decorations and it was perfect. You might even save money in the long run depending on how much you’d need to dress up other venues.
They also make everything SO easy. The manager Gladys is responsive, understanding and helpful. They have a package deal with excellent vendors (the same ones you’d probably end up hiring at any venue) and it makes planning 1000% easier. (You can also save money because you don’t need a planner). My wedding ran SO smoothly and timely (also a testament to the vendors). I really can’t say enough good things about it. 100/10 would do again in a heartbeat! -

Wow!!! Amazing
The minute my now husband and I walked in, our search was over!! There’s really no other venue like The Cruz building in SoFL. Elegant, Romantic and Unique. The staff were equally as amazing. I would recommend anyone to go take a tour, and I’m sure they would fall in love just like we did.-

Spectacular Venue
The venue is absolutely gorgeous and makes a statement the moment you walk in. We used the venue for our wedding reception and it was so beautiful and we got so many compliments from the guests.

Our dream rock and roll wedding!
The Cruz building staff was top notch. Gladys went out of her way to encourage and inspire the process. The building is beautiful to begin with but they made every effort to pull off our vision. Could not recommend the venue or the staff more. -

Great wedding experience
The Cruz Building is beautiful, no additional decorations needed other than flowers and some tea light candles. The building was clean and well kept up. We had the wedding for our daughter and it just was a perfect setting for the type of wedding she was looking for. i recommend this venue to anyone looking for a wedding that is gothic, romantic, intimate, perfect setting. The location was great as well plenty of hotels and places to eat, shop, explore etc. -

Amazing Unique Wedding Venue
I have no words to describe how incredible The Cruz Building was for our wedding venue. From the first day we saw it we knew that it was the place for us. It is so special and beautiful, and all of our guests were wowed the day of. In addition, Gladys was very helpful throughout the whole planning process and was always available to answer questions or help us with planning. I would HIGHLY recommend the Cruz Building to anyone looking for a unique wedding venue. -

Amazing Venue and Staff
The Cruz Building is not only stunning, but the staff is equally as great. I had the best time at my wedding with all 3 floors. From the security guard, to the operations coordinator, everyone at the Cruz building was responsive, helpful, and so professional. SO excited for our 2021 Wedding!
Arilys has been so great to work with! She is very informative, always responds with helpful answers to my many questions, and is very committed to making sure our wedding dreams come true! We are having a long engagement to have time to plan and save money, and for my fiancé to finish med school, but even with a long planning timeline she makes herself available for planning help as we are in the beginning stages, letting us tour the venue, connecting us to catering vendors and other partnering vendors, etc. We love her and are SO excited for our wedding at the Cruz Building! Creme de la creme'
This venue is over the top!!! You want to wow your guests? You want a fairly tale wedding? Look no further, the Cruz building is everything you've ever dreamed of! Just had my wedding on New Year's Eve with 150 people and my family and friends wont stop raving about the venue. The staircase the bride comes down is out of this world. Gladys and the whole Cruz building team are phenomenal! Thanks gladys for everything!! The Cruz building is EVERYTHING you want your wedding to be. Trust me! -

My daughter wanted the Cruz Building for her wedding venue from the moment she first saw it. The grand staircase took her breath away and she pictured herself coming down as a bride. We looked at other venues but after seeing it, it was impossible to forget it and we eventually decided to have it there on April 23, 2016. We started out with Sue and then Gladys took over and did a terrific job. She made sure it all came together and had great suggestions. We had the cocktail reception on the 3rd floor and patio with high and low tops and bar stools. The 2nd floor was a sit-down dinner for 150 guests. We met with Gladys and our caterer to work out the proper seating per table so that the servers were
able to properly serve guests. The first floor was the party/dj and it was nice because the 2nd floor is open to the first floor allowing guests to stay seated or move to the first floor, which was set up as a nightclub with high and low tops and bar stools. The entire first and 2nd floor was lit with amber lighting and of course, the beautiful stain glass ceiling was so attractive. The entire place looked like something from New Orleans, which is my daughter's favorite city. They even had a second line dance with umbrellas down that beautiful staircase. We used all the built-in bars and a Cuban cigar roller sat on the 3rd floor patio and hand-rolled cigars. My only concern was the church ceremony would end too early and our guests would be left standing around the church or the Cruz Building until it opened at 5. Gladys was very flexible and allowed them to come in 10 minutes early, which was great because it was hot and black- tie optional attire.
My guest continue to compliment us on our gorgeous wedding reception venue . If you are looking for uniqueness and elegant charm.. you can't go wrong with the Cruz Building, tucked on a quaint side street in Coconut Grove, Florida. -

We had the most incredible wedding at this most fabulous venue. We had the best service imaginable and if I could do it all over I would choose The Cruz Building again! We also had the most amazing wedding photographers from Couture Bridal Photography, who truly captured our day with the most amazing photography. Alfredo and Giovanni were amazing to work with from the day we contacted them, through to our engagement session, boudoir session and wedding day which we started with by doing an elegant and romantic bridal boudoir session. If you want to have an amazing wedding day I recommend all 3 levels at the Cruz Building and Couture Bridal Photography with their exclusive DJ team of Joey and Jeff to make your wedding day phenomenal! -

The Cruz Building was just a perfect venue for us for our wedding day. The entire team was super helpful and willing to work with us to meet our budget needs. It's not cheap, but was worth every dollar as it provided decorations itself (leaving me with minimal decorations to make myself, super helpful!). It is a unique character for a venue, so my advice would be to make sure it speaks to you and feels right for your overall vision, but if you do choose it, it will be simply stunning for all. Gladys and the whole operations team were fantastic and always wonderful. No issues what-so-ever with any aspect of the venue. They provided me with a list for my caterer who made the whole process so much smoother (it helps if they know the venue well). -

My wedding was at the Cruz Building on October 9, 2015. I worked with Suzanne and Gladys.
Suzanne was very knowledgeable and helped me book the venue. My e-mails never went unanswered, and she encouraged me to ask away. I liked how well she communicated with me and my husband. I LOVED working with Suzanne!!! My traveling documents ended up in my bridal box, and Suzanne kept checking to make sure we had found them...beyond thoughtful!
Gladys was very understandable when the rain and traffic caused my wedding party to be late for rehearsal. We couldn't thank her enough for her comprehension.
Suzanne and Gladys are wonderful people!
Maggie and Alexandra were a pleasure to work with on our wedding day.

I had my dream wedding at the Cruz building. It was the most beautiful venue I could have ever discovered. The staff was amazingly helpful and it all came together with the help of Dream Occasions Studios in Fort Lauderdale for the additional decorating and floral designing and Couture Bridal Photography who captured every moment to reflect on my beautiful wedding day. If your looking to have a beautiful wedding this is the place to have it and definitely check out Dream Occasions Studio and Couture Bridal Photography for your wedding whether here at the Cruz building or anywhere... -

Extraordinary to say the very least! I started planning my wedding 18 months prior to the big day. My fiancé loved the idea of having our wedding on 12.13.14, however, it seemed like half of Miami loved that idea as well! To our surprise, The Cruz Building was available on that day.
From day one, I never wanted a traditional wedding. My husband, and I, are both very energetic people, and we loved the idea of having a "lounge" type wedding. The glamorous 3-level venue provided the perfect lounge/club setting for our wedding. Our ceremony took place at a different location. We had cocktail hour on the first floor which worked out beautifully; 175 guests enjoyed cocktail hour very comfortably on the first floor.
Back in the day, couples pretty much had two choices: a sit-down dinner or a buffet. But nowadays, there are so many more options to explore when deciding how to serve your reception meal. We opted out of the traditional sit-down dinner, and had gourmet food stations on the second floor. This was AMAZING! I highly recommend food stations. Our creative food stations and presentation were crowd pleasers; our guests did not stop talking about the wide variety of dishes and the interactive element. I did not provide seating for everyone, better yet, I only provided seating for less than half of the guests. Best decision I made!
The third floor served as our lounge/celebration area. We had the dance floor outside on the terrace, which turned out to be awesome! The vibe was everything we wished for, and more! We wanted a party, and we got a party!
Our guests were truly in awe at the beauty of the building. The venue provides your guests with an element of surprise. Without a doubt, The Cruz Building is the most extraordinary venue you'll find in Miami for your wedding!

I've lived in Miami my entire life, and attended a lot of weddings here.,,, and there is NO PLACE like the Cruz Building.
The moment my fiance and I walked into the Cruz Building, and heard the New Orleans style jazz music playing throughout the building, we KNEW we had to get married there. You are immediately transported to another time and place, far far away from the trendy over the top, over done, Miami venues.
Suzanne is the first person we met - she gave us an amazing and thorough tour and even threw in a bonus for us because we signed the same day, right after our tour. She was genuinely so excited and happy for us, and was just such a tremendous help, always with a smile, throughout the process.
Gladys was the other person we worked with. When we noticed there was construction right outside the building the days leading up to the wedding, Gladys was an incredibly calm and reassuring voice, addressing our concerns and everything went off smoothly the day of.
Every single step of working with these two ladies and the venue was incredibly easy.
While the Cruz Building isn't in everyone's budget, it's worth every single penny.

Suzanne was amazing in our entire planning process. She helped answer any questions we had along the way and was quick on getting back to us. Maggie was there during the execution of our wedding and rehearsal and she was very kind and easy to work with. She made sure things went just as we wanted! The venue is beautiful and impressive. My wedding guests absolutely loved the entire set up. What a great setting for any special event you need. -

I was very picky when choosing my wedding venue. I wanted something unique, elegant, and extravagant which is exactly what I found at The Cruz Building. From the first phone call, down to the very last email, I have had the most pleasant experience with the staff members. Suzanne Buckley was an absolute pleasure helping me gather vendors all the way down to minor little detail questions. They were also extremely flexible. I had originally scheduled my wedding for November 2014, and due to an unfortunate family crisis had to move up my wedding date to March 2014. The Cruz Building accommodated my needs in a blink of an eye. They helped in every way possible and made my dream wedding come true. -

I found out about this venue online, and when I saw the pictures I fell in love with it! I quickly called to make an appointment for a tour and Suzanne was happy to book an appointment for me. The second I walked into the building, I knew that it was the place that I wanted to get married in. It was perfect! Unique and so beautiful! Suzanne gave us a wonderful and informative tour and a few days later we decided to give the deposit. Throughout the entire time from the first day on our tour to the day of our wedding Suzanne and Gladys have been so wonderful! Both have been very pleasant to work with and so accommodating. I'm so thankful for their time and efforts. I highly recommend this venue to any individuals who want to have a spectacular event that wow's their guests! -

This was a perfect event for a summer evening wedding in Miami. Very elegant! The only draw back was having a couple of hours the day of the event to have our personal items out of the building since this is a fully catered event. For a destination wedding this becomes a bit challenging if you're in a hotel. We probably should have planned a better arrangement to have our items package and stored, but with that said...plan ahead! This is a beautiful building where you and your guest can have an all-in-one event! No need to leave if your okay with having your ceremony outside of a church. The courtyard style atmosphere on the first floor provides an excellent setting for the ceremony, second for elegant dinning and third for dancing and entertaining. I don't want to forget to mention the staff that helped show the building and the communication was excellent for securing the date and contract. The staff they provided for the event were very professional and they were very helpful with recommendations for local vendors. We had a great event that impressed all of our family and friends, not to mention amazing wedding photos as well! -

I fell in love with The Cruz building way before I ever dreamed of getting married there. Back when it was a restaurant (Cristabelle's Quarter) my friends and I would visit almost every weekend. When I got engaged and found out they were now an event venue I knew it was fate! The team at the Cruz, (Suzanne, Gladys, Carmen) were all so nice and accommodating every step of the way. They would assist me with any issues or questions I had throughout my planning process and made my worries less stressful. Everyone at my wedding complimented what a GORGEOUS venue we had chosen and could not believe a gem such as the Cruz Building was hidden in Coconut Grove. I would recommend this venue to any bride that is looking for something different and has definite WOW factor! -

When seeing The Cruz Building on line I never thought it would like the same in person. The building was that and more. The building is breathtaking. The staff was magnificent from start to finish and was very helpful. The Cruz Building is by-far the best wedding venue in Miami. -

This Place to start off is just amazing!!! If you want a wedding venue that will blow you away with detail and is absolutely stunning... Go here!!! I had a destination wedding here and I'm originally from Los Angeles and my husbands family is from Jamaica... So we had to have our wedding some place in the middle to accommodate travel for both sides of our families. It was quite complicated to coordinate this wedding with so many family and friends that needed to come... Until I met Jeannie and Gladys who referred me to the A Joy Wallace group who planned and coordinated my entire wedding. Between The Cruz Building staff and A Joy Wallace group the two of them combined are like a match made in heaven on your wedding day. They both compliment each other as far coordination and support and I was so ecstatic that day because every single detail I was concerned about was taken care of. I wanted to have this amazing "Great Gatsby" themed wedding like the Novel and Movie that came out.. And this place really felt like we were back in the 1920's in this magical and beautiful building that seemed like "The Great Gatsby" mansion interior. The details and decor of this venue can be fit for upscale events but as far as my wedding it pulled all the right elements together. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a spectacular event as I have never in my life experienced being somewhere so amazing with all my family and loved ones all together. We had close to 100 guest but this place could've accommodated at least 300 people..
One of the most important things for me at my wedding next to my dress was the venue... Pictures just don't do this place justice. I will never forget how special my wedding was because having the support of Jeanie & Gladys at The Cruz Building made my wedding a real fairytale ending. Thank You so much for all that you guys do and I hope you bless many more people with your kindness and support. -

Beautiful venue!! As soon as I walked inside I knew I wanted to do my wedding there. My guests were fascinated by all the beauty and elegance inside. It's truly a gem in the heart of Coconut Grove. The staff was wonderful the day of my wedding, always willing to help in order to make my evening go smoothly. Gladys was a great pleasure to work with, she answered all of my questions and helped me whenever I needed her advice. I highly recommend this venue, totally worth every penny spent! -

The entire staff at the Cruz Building work very diligently to make your event extra special. Not only is the building a true spectacle in South Florida, the entire process is extremely easy. We hosted the CRAFT SPIRITS FESTIVAL in the building and experinced the highest quality of service and look forward to returning next year. -

I truly believe the Cruz Building it the most exquisite venue for someone to get married at! The moment I walked in those doors I was never able to settle for anything else. The 3 floor set up let's you plan your wedding however you want. I gave my guests a floor by floor experience and they are still raving about how amazing my wedding was. The second I walked into the Cruz Building I knew I had found the place I would be married in. My husband and I had a wonderful experience from start to finish. The venue is so unique -- it's the perfect place and guaranteed all your guests will love it. Having three separate floors and a beautiful balcony on the outside of the third floor helped us to add all the details we could imagine. We would recommend the Cruz Building to anyone. -

The Cruz Building is an experience in its own. From the moment you walk in the door, you are immediately taken in by the ornate details. From the expansive bars to the detailed ceilings - the indoor garden and the outdoor terrace - you can't help but to be awestruck. There are three floors available for use and you can rent either individual floors or the whole building. Don't be intimidated by the size of this place - it is perfect for large groups and also small intimate gatherings (we used all three floors with around 60 guests). The staff was wonderful to work with - super knowledgeable and they work with you to make recommendations on best practice as well as who some of the top vendors in the area are. Looking at the pictures from the wedding day, i still can't believe that we were fortunate enough to get married in a venue as unique as this. Thank you Gladys and staff for everything!-

Jessie and Gladys were amazing!!! They catered to everything I wanted to do and were very easy to work with!!
I was told i had the most beautiful wedding people had ever attended all due to the building!
They do have a few rules, but they are not any deal breakers. They just need to preserve the beautful space! (no open flames and no wires)

The Cruz Building and their staff are very professional and accommodating. Gladys and staff were always welcoming and truly excited for our event. The building is spectacular and the guest were amazed by the decor and uniqueness of the building. Thank God we had a wedding planner to help us with the layout, flow and set up because it is a large space to move wedding guests. The Cruz building helps coordinate the chair and table rental, but it is an additional cost and step to make sure that you have all necessary seats throughout the building. I would definitely recommend this venue for a wedding (120 guest or less).

I'm so happy that we booked The Cruz Building for our wedding. My husband and I recently got married at this venue in December '15. It was the perfect backdrop for my dream wedding in Miami. My goal was to stray away from a traditional hotel and have a unique venue with different rooms/settings. While Miami has some really cool venues that can deliver that, I also didn't want an outside venue with the unpredictable Miami weather.
For starters, this place isn't cheap. If you have a strict lower budget I have to break the news that this might not be the place for you. The venue has has a slightly cheaper rental fee on Fridays (the day I got married) than Saturday and you can also just rent 1 or 2 floors instead of the entire 3 floors) BUT from experience, renting The Cruz Building and not having the 3rd floor seems like a complete waste to me. It's the prettiest and the best location in the building for the party/reception. The grand bar up there is gorgeous and the patio is also a great option to have for your guests. I ended up having 90 guests. Ceremony and cocktail on the first floors, dinner on the second, dessert and dancing on the third. The guests have so many compliments to say about the venue. It's like every floor was a new surprise. This place is ideal for mid-size weddings 75-130. More that than can get pretty crowded.
If a unique venue is what you're looking for then go check this place out in person. I must say the pictures don't do it justice. I almost didn't go see it because I wasn't completely sold by the pictures. It's so much more elegant and classier in person. The staff keep this place SUPER clean and cool (what sold my mom).
Another added cost to keep in mind when booking TCB, valet is mandatory upon booking this venue. They also require you pay for valet and to rent a dance floor with them. I brought an outside caterer but all furniture must be booked through them. This adds up so asks for all these costs before booking! -

I came to hear about The Cruz Building by mere coincidence. A friend was gong to be attending a wedding there and I had just recently gotten engaged. I had a vision of what I wanted my wedding to be like. She brought up the website and started showing us pictures of the location and I instantly fell in love. I had not begun my journey to wedding planning yet but I knew in that moment and said " Guys, I'm having my reception at The Cruz Building!" Not thinking of the cost or if it was even going to be possible, a few weeks later we had our first appointment with the lovely, Suzanne Buckley. She was truly an angel on the phone, so sweet and when I met her in person we hit it off right away. We got the grand tour and just fell deeper in love. You are immediately transported to a distant fairy tale land. We knew our theme would be 1920s Hollywood glam/Gatsby inspired so we new this was the perfect place. Suzanne worked really hard, I should say fought to make The Cruz meet our budget needs which was our biggest concern. She was full of ideas and truly cared to make our dream wedding come true! Now a month later, I must say our wedding was spectacular! It was more than we ever dreamed of. The Cruz has a wonderful team that worked together to make our day truly special. The Cruz Building is such a beautiful venue. We booked the venue about a year and half before our wedding. Once we stepped foot in the building we knew it would be the one. Be warned it is very expensive... but you do get what you pay for. In the beginning we worked with Jeanie and later on all of our communication was with Gladys. Gladys was easy to work with, answered e-mails quickly and was a very sweet. Make sure you read your contract carefully as they do have a lot of regulations in place, such as mandatory valet, no candles, security guards, etc. The day of the event went very smoothly and there was always an employee from the building there. There was plenty of security throughout the building and outside which was nice.
All in all it is such a beautiful place you will fall in love with it. There really is no other venue like it in Miami! -

This venue is beyond this world. I visited many places from West Palm to Homestead and this venue has everything beat if your looking for something inside. All indoor venues pretty much look the same, a big ballroom in a hotel. Even places like the Biltmore/Breakers did not meet my expectations and they are supposed to be the "best" ballrooms in S. FL. Why have just a room when you can have the whole building! This building is out of this world and the pictures don't do it justice and to some that may be difficult to believe because this place photographs well! What's also nice is that there is security and a doorman included. We had cocktails on the 2nd floor while guests looked down upon a string quartet, dinner on the 3rd, and when guests came back down, the 1st floor was a lounge. It's a bride's dream..your set up any way you want! A week later and our guests are still raving about our wedding.

We used the Cruz Building for our wedding and it was breathtaking. All of our guests were blown away by the beauty of the venue! The first time we walked inside, there was a wedding later in the day and we were able to see the setup of a smaller wedding within the venue, which was extremely helpful. Our decision to book the Cruz Building was made immediately after our tour and every penny we spent was well worth it (it's a bit pricey for Saturday weddings). I can't wait to see the pictures because it was the most spectacular venue I've ever seen! -

I'm thrilled with this place!!! I got married here on February 8th, 2015. From the minute I saw it online, I HAD TO CALL!! the customer service was amazing! I was given lots of help! Both mentally and economically. Suzanne and Gladys are great help and answer as soon as possible, which is extremely necessary for brides that are always in a hurry. I had a problem with the whole issue of ONLY paying with CHECK/MONEY ORDER, but Gladys understood me perfectly and extended my time. Also, I had a huge rehearsal for 14 BM/GM and I practiced without a problem, I'm so happy that I did my wedding here, although my pockets cried a little bit,it was all worth it!! -

Unforgettable and unique venue for a dreamy wedding
The Cruz building is incredible, unique, lavish, elegant, beautiful, opulent and so much more. I had my dream wedding on December 4th,2021. Thanks to my wedding planner and all the vendors I worked with, the wedding was a success and a huge hit with the guests. I used all three floors of the venue. Ceremony on the first floor, cocktail on the second floor, dinner on the third floor and dancing on the terrace. It was absolute perfection. Totally recommend this venue for brides that are looking to have a unique venue experience with that wow factor!-

The Cruz Building is the gem of South Florida. I was looking for a venue for my wedding and was initially excited about a beautiful outdoor wedding surrounded by the ocean and palm trees. That option was soon shot down when I toured a venue under torrential rains. The weather in Miami is very unpredictable and the rain plan for all the gorgeous outdoor venues were not as great. The Cruz Building was my last stop and as soon as we walked in we were amazed at all the beautiful decor and ambiance of this venue. We knew that's where we were going to get married. The inside of this building is so pretty and stunning that it would be a shame to cover it up with a lot of decorations. It also has a great outdoor terrace for those gorgeous Miami days. A few personal touches here and there, some up lighting, and minimal flowers is all you need. I had a vintage themed wedding and the decorations looked stunning inside this beautiful space! Suzanne Buckley was absolutely helpful and so warm and sweet. She made the process so easy and was very responsive when we had questions about availability and pricing. Since I live outside Florida and this was going to be a destination wedding I had a lot of questions regarding vendors and accommodations. Suzanne and her team helped my find a great wedding planner and gave me great advice and tips. They were so delightful and a pleasure to work with. I would recommend the Cruz building to anyone who wants to have a gorgeous wedding, the pictures will come out beautiful and your guests will be amazed at the splendor of this space! -

The Cruz building is one you might walk past as you stroll through Coconut Grove.It is a Miami secret...but make a point to stop and check out this 4-story magnificent facility. It is beautifully restored with stained glass, gold leaf, wrought iron and is rich in detail throughout. My daughter's wedding there was spectacular and we had the entire building to ourselves. The ceremony was on the third floor patio and dinner reception was on the second floor - I loved that they had old-style booths where we seated families with babies and children so they all could be part of the celebration. The first floor was for dancing. You will have to bring in all your vendors, but this means you can transform it into anything you desire. The staff was top notch, professional and catered to our every wish. Our families and guests couldn't stop talking about the building.I only have wonderful memories. Would highly recommend the Cruz for any celebration.

WOW! My husband and I had such an incredible experience at The Cruz Building. Our guests were stunned by the beauty of the building and still will not stop talking about it. The staff was so awesome to work with, especially Suzanne Buckley! If you haven't seen this venue...you MUST! -

Perfect venue for a reception! Had the exact feel I was looking for..romantic, elegant and a good time. The three floors really gives the whole event a unique experience. The lighting in the evening is perfect for pictures. -

Absolutely AMAZING venue... I could not have asked for a better, more fairy tale wedding! Would definitely recommend the venue to anyone looking for an indoor, very elegant, intricately decorated, unique and beautiful wedding! Was worth every penny :) -

This building is absolutely gorgeous! It is so beautifully decorated already that you won't have to spend much decorating it for your wedding. The building is very pricey, but if you can catch them when they're offering some sort of special it can be a bit more tolerable and worth it. Unfortunately we had an issue with one of the sales managers. My best advice is to get everything in writing and signed by whoever said it.
Gladys and Maggie however were so sweet and helpful. Gladys was there for my rehearsal that my wedding planner decided not to come to and she gave us her input as to what looks best and was just overall great! Maggie was there for the beginning of our wedding and quickly made us feel welcome! They were great
The wedding turned out incredible in this venue! It's definitely a dream wedding location! -

We loved having our wedding at the Cruz Building in the Grove! Being able to bring in our own vendors made allowed us to take this huge, beautiful space and make it our own. Jeannie was incredibly helpful in getting us to view the venue -- she led a walk thru with my in-laws and she gave us a tour over the phone (since we couldn't get down to Miami). Her flexibility saved us time and money and was enough for us to know this was the place.
All of our guests were extremely impressed - every inch of the Cruz Building is gorgeous! While the number of guests will definitely determine where you can hold various elements, you can get pretty creative with the layout and there's not a bad spot in the entire building. Highly recommend to couples looking for a fancy and FUN spot to hold your wedding and reception!

Hosted my wedding thete beautiful venue. All my guests loved it. Except the vallet parking was a huge issue. However I have amazing pictures and am overall very satisfied with how things were handled. It's a very personably place and very romantic. -

I had my wedding at the Cruz building and it was absolutely stunning. The building alone has that awe factor. It does however cost a pretty penny when you add everything up. The place alone without catering was 8k for two floors (on a Friday) and and extra 1k for an extra hour. Valet and tables were required to be done by the Cruz and both things ran me 1k each. It was worth the money when you see how beautiful it turns out. Suzanne was awesome and super attentive and helpful with everything. I love her. My only complaint would be that I didn't know the building wouldn't open the doors to guest till ten minutes before the start time. My invitations had an earlier start time cause everyone runs on Cuban time. I was told this at 5pm the day of the wedding. I had no choice but to change the building time to open the doors a half hour earlier, which shaved off a half hour to the ending time. It was either that or pay 1,600 for an extra hour. So that was pretty annoying. Had I known in advance that they had that policy then I would have changed my invitation time of course. But oh well, besides that hiccup everything went perfect and the wedding was beautiful. -

I stumbled upon the venue online and I couldn't wait to take a look I just knew it was perfect.
Getting married in Florida its important to choose a venue that is indoors .
. But I didn't want to just marry in a ballroom setting, I wanted someplace unique.
The moment my Husband and I stepped foot inside this venue it was magical. The place was simply breathtaking and whimsical.
We met with Jeannie the sales girl and she was very helpful that day of course. We decided right that day to leave a deposit. They venue requires 10k for a Friday night wedding with 1k deposit fully refundable. With that you get an empty venue that you have to basically find your own vendors. You must hire a valet service. and book a dancefloor Through the year of planning i actually had to change my wedding date, i would leave messages and emails and Jeannie never really returned my messages it would take her forever. I thought Gladys was much more helpful. The day of the wedding you must get a day of coordinator it was awesome to have them worry about everything and you just be a bride and enjoy your day. If you want to WOW your guests this venue is perfect!!! The street it lays on is so quaint. We had our guests stay around the corner at The sonesta hotel. they loved Coconut Grove. We chose Fancy fiesta catering and production because they were an all inclusive package you must have them if you book this venue. All together i loved the venue and recommend this just be prepared to spend of extra $$. -

Beautiful building, we could not have asked for a nicer venue to have our wedding. Most of our guests said it was one of the best weddings they had ever been to! It was very pricey though; not just for the venue itself, but for all of the add-ons that went along afterwards (chairs, dance floor, tables, etc.). I also wasn’t a big fan of how we had to clean up after ourselves after the wedding, while (most, but not all of) the building staff stood around and did absolutely nothing to help us out. One of the girls even unsympathetically told me, the groom (on the night of his wedding) that I couldn’t use their second empty dumpster because it was reserved for the next night’s event and told me to walk around Coconut Grove and throw the rest of the garbage in the city trash cans (which were scarce, very full already, and were too small to even fit some of our larger items)...all while dressed in my nice tuxedo suit. However, the communication was good, and the event coordinators/building manager could not have been nicer. -

This venue is beautiful! That is the reason i booked it for my wedding reception. However, they are NOT flexible at all. I originally signed my contract for 5 hours because I was planning on doing my ceremony there as well. A month later, my guest list grew and i could not fit all my guests on the first floor for the ceremony. I emailed them and asked if i could get the extra hour removed. (Only a deposit was made. So no money had to be returned to me. Just adjust the time and deduct the extra hour cost.) Two months passed, and after several emails, calls, no one had gotten in contact with me. Finally, when i spoke to the sales person i signed my contract with, she said the hour could not be removed. They were quick to sucker me into the extra hour the day of signing, but not flexible afterwards. For the most part, they were hard to get a hold of and took some time to get my emails answered. However, the wedding turned out beautiful and without a hitch on their part. The place was clean, and ready for the party. I would recommend this place because it is gorgeous and different. Just be careful what you're signing and make sure you don't change your mind afterwards! -

Beautiful building
The Cruz building is beautiful. It is amazing that you get all three floors to yourself. The management was the worst part of our whole wedding. Gladys was unhelpful. When we booked, through Kelly, we felt so comfortable with our decision in this venue. Looking back on it, I would have chosen elsewhere. They did not confirm our rehearsal time until the week of, then we got there and they were angry because they were trying to close. They told us a time and we were on time, so we only ran through it once for 5 minutes. It was extremely frustrating for the price we paid. -

Do not have your wedding here. They only care about taking your money
. I had my dream wedding taken away due to the pandemic, and was financially taken advantage of by the Cruz building. Our wedding was set for June 2020. At this time, local ordinances would not allow more than 10 people. We were set to have a 100 person wedding. Due to having immediate family with compromised immune systems, including my grandpa who was walking me down the aisle there was no way for this wedding to take place. There is still no certainty when a wedding could be safely held there even now. My now husband and I saved for this wedding, his mom worked a second job so we could have this wedding. When I spoke with them about having to cancel the immediate answer was zero refund. We had paid in full $14,000. After weeks of begging for a refund and continuously not getting called back and ignored by Gladys the manager they reluctantly agreed to give 50% back. They are taking advantage of the pandemic, we received no services from them and only got back half of what we worked so hard for.The Cruz Building's reply:
Dear Brittany,
First, we would like to apologize for any delays in responding. We are usually known for our exceptional customer service, but, in this case, we were dealing with an extraordinary number of calls from clients needing to reschedule their events due to the unprecedented circumstances of Covid 19.
Regarding the refund you received, while we are sorry that our resolution did not satisfy your expectations, we would like to clarify what transpired with your event.
Our venue agreement clearly states that we do not allow cancelations or postponements, and if an event is canceled, there will be no refund. However, it also states that if we cannot be open for business due to a force outside of our control, our clients are entitled to a full refund. Due to the pandemic, we offered clients whose event could not take place due to the restriction on the size of gatherings an option to postpone the event for up to one year at the price they originally paid, allowing them to lock in their price and avoid any price increase that occurred since the time they initially booked and avoid any that may occur in the future.
When you called us in April regarding your June 2020 event, you requested to reschedule your event to June 2021, so we moved forward and your contract was then updated and executed by both parties with the date you requested in June 2021.
Two months later, you notified us that you no longer wanted to have your event. Since there is no force outside our control to prevent your event from taking place in June 2021, this would be considered a cancelation and, based on the agreement, you would not be entitled to a refund. However, despite this, and in light of the struggles we are all facing and our desire to make you happy, we extended you a refund of 50% of the price you paid.
We are truly sorry you are not satisfied with the resolution. We greatly value our clients and are trying our best to help them even though this is a difficult time for all of us.
