Couture Closet was so great to work with! Tera helped me find the perfect dress. She was so sweet and made me feel so comfortable trying on different dresses, and was so patient letting me try on so many until I found the one! They made the whole wedding dress buying process smooth and easy. I went to another local wedding boutique before Couture Closet, and while they were nice, they just weren’t the same. Couture Closet just felt so much more personable and made me so comfortable. I felt at ease and like they really cared! Couldn’t have asked for a better experience for buying my wedding dress!

Best bridal shop
I had the best experience shopping at Couture Closet for my wedding dress. They are SO kind and helpful. Allison was so much fun to work with - she helped every step of the way.. patient and encouraging as I tried on the widest range of dresses!! The price ranges were also more approachable than some other shops I went to in Louisville, KY. I was able to bring a good group of my sisters, friends, mom, and mother-in-law with me as well. We had a great experience. Additionally, the Couture Closet staff was so helpful in recommending alterations, steaming my dress the week of and coordinating a pick up. They made it all SO easy. Thank you to the Couture Closet staff!!

Ideal dress shopping experience
The team at Couture Closet is incredibly supportive, patient, and great at what they do. The range of dress styles is wide and the majority of dresses are under $2,000. They did a great job at helping me find my preferred style and designer and ultimately the perfect dress. They had great recommendations for alterations as well as a large selection of accessories. I couldn’t recommend this shop more.

Best place to find your dream dress!
From the moment I made my appointment at Couture Closet, it was a magical experience. Between the sweet town and beautiful storefront, it was magical from the beginning. I had an idea of what type of dress I wanted. Lauren + Tera selected all of the styles I described and a few of their own that they thought I might like. I ended up choosing a dress I never would've picked if it weren't for Lauren and Tera! I picked a beautiful Madi Lane gown that was perfect for my beautiful Fall wedding. Nothing compares to the experience I had at Couture Closet. Also, the selection was beautifully selected and catered to every type of bride. Much love to Couture Closet!

Everything I hoped for!
I was so nervous about shopping, that I wouldn't fit in anything and nothing would look good. Tera at The Couture Closet was amazing, and really knowledgable and helpful! She wasn't pushy at all, ready to intervene if there were naysayers (there weren't because everything was gorgeous) and helped me find what I wanted in our budget. I would absolutely recommend them! They were so great that on my first trip to try things on, I ended up saying yes to my dress!

Love Love Love Couture Closet
I had an amazing shopping experience at Couture Closet. The staff were extremely flexible with my schedule because I was travelling from out of town. I wore my grandmother's dress during my ceremony, and CC not only helped me find the perfect veil, but also let me try the vintage dress on in the store. I also purchase my second "party" dress at CC and absolutely loved it. My experience was stress-free and I would highly encourage all brides to give them a visit.

Holy crap, Couture Closet is hands down the BEST!!! place to shop for a wedding dress! I had been to two different bridal shops before my appointment with Couture Closet and both couldn not compare with the level of service and the super fun experience that CC offered. The knowledge and variety of plus size gowns that CC had was OUTSTANDING!! I tried on so many wonderful dresses and Lauren and Tera had the perfect understanding of what I was looking for. From the moment I walked into the shop to the moment I left with my dress (and beyond, as they follow up with their brides) I was celebrated and treated with kindness - I always left that shop feeling like a million bucks! Couture Closet was my first stop from the airport, and I'm so glad it was!
While I am originally from Louisville, I grew up and currently live in San Diego. However, I want to get married in my home state of Kentucky. Multiple family members recommended I go look at dresses at Couture Closet while I was in town. I ended up having to go straight to my appointment from the airport due to some very last minute change in plans. I was overwhelmed with how kind, helpful, knowledgeable, and genuine everyone was. Brooke was especially patient with me, as I had no idea what I wanted and had never tried on any dresses before. She helped me find my wedding dress, and I could not be more thankful and excited! If only every aspect of planning a wedding was as easy and fun as finding my dress at Couture Closet. I would recommend Couture Closet to any bride, no matter if you are local or from across the country like me! They truly made this California girl feel so loved and right back at home. I happened to be traveling through for work and some in the Louisville area mentioned Couture Closet. I stopped on a whim and found my dress. I would 100% recommend visiting Couture Closet in your search for your wedding dress. The owners are incredibly professional and my experience trying on dresses at Couture Closet exceeded every other location I visited. Lauren and Tera are incredibly friendly and really listened to me when I articulated my vision for my wedding dress. They also have a very talented eye (I combined a dress and a skirt for my wedding dress and they actually came up with the idea and found the different pieces). They are not pushy - they give you space when you are deciding on a dress and respect your decisions or opinions about dresses, even if they are negative. They also offer extremely reasonable prices, which allowed me to get my dream dress in budget! I also ended up buying earrings, a belt, and my veil from them as well. They offer a wide variety of options, that will be sure to please any bride! Tera and Lauren are incredibly easy to work with. They are responsive and made sure to contact me when any of my items were delivered. Additionally, the provided me with recommendations for a seamstress (Melissa Luther) who did an amazing job and was also economically priced. I would definitely recommend using her for alterations. She was extremely accommodating and did a wonderful job. Plus, she is fun to work with! I was an out-of-town bride and I never felt stressed about my dress & alterations, in large part due to the efforts of Tera, Lauren, and Melissa.

We were in love from the moment myself and my bridal party walked in the door. I didn't expect to find THE dress on my first outing, but their selection was amazing and the last dress was the ONE! I had to most amazing experience at Couture closet from beginning to end! I would highly recommend them to any bride! My group and I were greeted with the sweetest snacks and drinks as we first walked in at the initial consultation, and then every single dress in the store was beautiful, unique, currently in style, and perfect for any taste. The ladies at Couture Closet were absolutely wonderful. Brooke was my consultant, and she was very attentive and patient with me. I had already tried on quite a few dresses before I came to CC and was strongly leaning towards a dress from another store. But Brooke gave me all the time I needed to think through my options. The dress I chose was not at all what I was expecting to wear as my wedding dress but it was absolutely perfect! When my dress came in, I made another appointment to me try it on, and Lauren helped me pick out jewelry. CC has their own alterations, Melissa, who is VERY good. She did a fabulous job and made my dress fit like a glove. There was one spot on the bodice that needed an extra flower appliqué, and Melissa was able to take one from the hem and add it to the top flawlessly. I can't thank the ladies at CC enough!

I was not surprised at all when I found my dream dress at Couture Closet! First of all LaGrange, KY is so quaint and charming. When you walk inside the store you feel like you're in a little piece of heaven because the store is so beautiful and peaceful and the ladies who work there are so unbelievably sweet. Tara was extremely nice, helpful, and so fun to try on dresses with. She asked me a few questions and watched while I chose dresses to try on and she quickly learned my style and the look I was going for and had quite a few great recommendations herself. The selection of dresses and accessories at Couture Closet was absolutely amazing! Their selection was much better than stores I shopped at in bigger cities including Lexington, Louisville, and the Cincinnati region. Once we bought the dress they were wonderful about keeping me updated with shipping dates. They also have an AMAZING seamstress, Melissa, that they work with. Melissa made my dress fit me like a glove and I felt so beautiful in it. The dress I chose had quite an intricate lace pattern. I have no idea how Melissa altered it and matched up the lace design, but she did and you would have never known the dress had been changed from the original at all! I would 100% recommend shopping at Couture Closet for you wedding dress and accessories. You walk in and instantly feel like you've known the girls who work their your whole life and they make you feel so special and beautiful!

The Couture Closet is honestly the best place to buy a wedding dress! I was kind of worried because of how small the shop was so I was sure I would never find my dress there. Boy was I wrong! First of all, since it is a small, locally run shop they make sure to give you plenty of attention. They have separate spaces in the front and back so it feels like you are the only bride in the store. The dress selection is amazing! Don't ever let the size of the store fool you. They have everything and they make sure it is the best of the best. I had a hard time picking a dress because they were all amazing. Plus, they were really affordable too! An even better plus is the wonderful lady they have that does alterations. She loves a challenge and really knows how to put together your vision. At my first appointment there, they made me feel so special; they served us treats & drinks, and they helped me to find exactly what I was looking for. This store is simply amazing. Tera and Lauren have created such a special place to shop for your bridal gown. The well-appointed shop is so much fun - the dresses line the walls and gorgeous accessories are scattered throughout. It's like a toy store for adults!

My daughter got her Wedding dress and Bridesmaid dresses at Couture Closet. The staff was wonderful, very friendly, and helpful without being pushy. Also their prices are very reasonable. The whole experience was great! My daughter looked beautiful on her day as did the Bridemaids. I would highly recommend Couture Closet.

I had tried on probably close to 30 dresses before I went to Couture Closet. The third dress I tried on there was the one! Not only do they have beautiful dresses, the customer service and experience is unlike any other. You cannot go wrong at Couture Closet!

I loved buying my dress at Couture Closet. The owners are wonderful. The appointments don't seem overbooked like they do at some places. Tera spent time with me and helped my try on dresses then decide on the gown I purchased. They were wonderful about staying in budget. Very friendly and professional.

Went to the Couture closet looking for a veil, but they did not have any in my price range. Rather than telling me they just didn't have what I wanted they helped me find a gorgeous hairpiece to use instead of a veil that was more affordable!Excellent customer service even though I was not shopping for a dress, and spent less than $100!

I LOVED my visit with Couture Closet! It was my last appointment and I was a little hopeless that I was going to find THE dress, and Couture Closet came through! I was able to get a sample of the perfect dress and they helped me envision adding straps to it and making it my own. They helped me order extra lace from the designer and find a seamstress to do alterations. Cannot thank them enough for going above and beyond to help me!

This boutique is seriously in a league of its own for customer service. I purchased my dress from them almost a year and a half before my wedding, yet when I took my girls in for bridesmaid dresses they remembered me. They remembered my mother and I every time we visited whether it was to look at jewelry or to pick up a bridesmaid dress, that is the kind of personal service you get at CC. When trying on dresses Tera was so honest with me, I put on a few unflattering ones and instead of just trying to make a sale she was sure to let me know we should move to the next dress haha I had the best bridal experience with these girls, from picking out my dress, to my bridesmaid dresses, they were helpful and accommodating every step of the way.

The experience at Couture Closet was absolutely perfect! I worked with Lauren, had my closest ladies with me and we had the whole place to ourselves. Lauren suggested my sister and I walk and pull dresses we liked, unlike other boutiques where I felt they were on top of you. After trying a few dresses, Lauren knew my style and the vision I had so she asked if she could pull something. It was perfect! She knew exactly what I wanted even though I wasn't able to quite put into words. I walked out and everyone reached for tissues, it was "the feeling" you always hope to have. The dress was everything I dreamed it would be but Lauren made the experience of finding it relaxing, fun, and memorable. Thank you so much!

I visited three other bridal shops before stepping into the Couture Closet and should have saved all that time and worry by just making an appointment with these wonderful ladies. I found my dress on my first visit and never looked back. I also used their recommended seamstress and was very pleased with how the alterations turned out. Lauren and Tera were very quick at answering my questions and went above and beyond to make my experience wonderful. I also ordered bridesmaids dresses from the shop and had no complaints there either. Everything turned out beautifully.

I absolutely love the women at Couture Closet! Lauren was with me every step of the way when it came to my dress...she made me feel so special and went above and beyond for me and my family. I say this because my grandmother was meant to come with me to my first appointment, but became sick and was unable. Lauren set up a second appointment as a "mock appointment" just for my grandmother that was exactly like my first...that meant the world to me!
That is not the only thing that makes this boutique special...they prefer to go by appointment only...because of this it is only you, your guests, and the consultant in the whole store! You feel like a queen! It is you and your most important people surrounded my white lace, sparkle, and beauty! Talk about the ultimate girly moment...

I got my dream dress here and the experience was a dream as well. When you make an appointment it is just you and your guests there and so you never feel like you are fighting over dresses or lacking help, because it's just you! They have a smaller selection of dresses than some places, which I found SO nice. You don't feel like you're drowning in tool and lace. They ladies who work there felt like friends and were helpful and knowledgeable! Not to mention the store is beautiful and so cute! I LOVE my dress and I only wish I could wear it more than once!

They try and have only 1 bridal appointment at one time-truly making you feel like you are the most important person! We ended up getting my ENTIRE outfit from there-dress, hair piece, veil, shoes, and garter. My bridesmaids dresses and shoes were from there as well. I loved working with them, and could not have asked for a better dress buying experience.

I had such a wonderful experience at the Couture Closet! I found my wedding gown there the first time I visited (it was the first place I visited too), and I fell in love with it immediately. I also had alterations done with the seamstress they recommended and bought my veil there. The ladies running the shop are amazing and so helpful in finding you the gown that will make you feel beautiful on your wedding day. I would recommend that all my Louisville area friends to make a trip to Lagrange to try on dresses! It was such a fun experience.

I cannot even begin to properly express how much I loved my experience with The Couture Closet. Prior to visiting CC, I had searched for a dress at two other shops, neither providing a positive experience. When I visited CC, I was alone. My mom lives 10 hours away and wasn't able to come up at the time and I really didn't want to have anyone else there to influence my decision.
Tera, one of the CC owners, helped me that day. From the moment I stepped inside the shop, I felt like their only bride. Appointments are private, so the shop is very quiet and relaxing. Tera and I hit it off from the beginning. I really enjoyed working with her! She provided enough guidance in finding a dress that I didn't feel overwhelmed, but not so much that I felt like she was making me try dresses on. It was the perfect balance. I really did not feel alone during the appointment, as Tera quickly began to feel more like a friend. I found my dress that day and, with Tera's help, was able to get my mom involved from a distance by sending her tons of pictures. I never, ever felt pressure to make a purchase, but after leaving the shop and chatting with my mom for a bit, I ended up returning to order the dress that same day.
I came back a few more times to try on the sample dress for friends and family members and browse for accessories and each time CC was super accommodating. I also used the seamstress they recommended, Melissa, and she was wonderful. I am so glad that I found The Couture Closet.

The Couture Closet is truly a gem. Lauren and Tera have great taste, are so sweet and professional, and know their business well. This shop was my first stop on the wedding dress hunt. While I did visit a few other shops around Louisville, nothing compared to what I found at the Couture Closet-- in the level of service, knowledge of product, and dress options. I bought my dress at Couture Closet, but still shopped around other stores for bridesmaid dresses and my mother's dress. I should have known better, because I ended up finding the perfect dresses at Couture Closet! Lauren and Tera made the purchasing so easy for my bridesmaids and for me. I really wish I had been to the Couture Closet before I purchased my wedding dress. I had found one on Pinterest that I loved, located where a trunk show was being held and bought that exact dress very quickly. And don't get me wrong, I love the dress! BUT, the professionalism and quality of appointment time you get with the ladies of Couture Closet is UNMATCHED in the Louisville area. The girls here were so sweet and amazing!! I didn't even try on the dess that I picked but I knew it was mine and admired it from the mannequin! I was blown away by the professionalism and attentiveness at the CC! I loved the 3rd dress I tried on but I didn't not want to make a rash decision. Tera gave me encouragement but never pressured me to buy. I ended up trying on dresses else where but I could not get the CC dress out of my head. I called Tera and purchased my dress over the phone! Couture closet was the first place I went to try on dresses. My future sister in law had heard of it from a friend. At first glance the store seems small compared to the big chain places but what they lack in size they make up for in all other areas! We met with Tera that day and started to go over a idea of what I wanted in a dress. Tera was super sweet and nice, she listened and suggested some styles for me to try on. She pulled a few dresses herself and my future sister in law and I picked a few ourselves. I tried on 6 total dresses. Tera pulled a few that weren't in my initial list, saying that what we picture in our head isn't always what looks great on. She was right! Tera knows her stuff! I ended up picking one of the 6 and bought it that day! First store, first round of trying on dresses! I highly recommend you take the drive to Lagrange and visit CC!!!

I'd recommend The Couture Closet for every bride!! I've never felt so taken care of by any wedding-related business. They made it feel like I didn't have to worry about a thing and it was all about me! Wonderful staff, that are very knowledgeable. Beautiful shop...it didn't hit me until I walked into the shop to pick out my wedding dress, that I was getting married.
Everything went so smoothly and I wasn't rushed. They even opened up their shop for me on a day they would normally be closed. They really are willing to accommodate your schedule.
The Couture Closet has many different dresses for any style. I also picked out my bridesmaid dresses the same day and they take care of contacting all your bridesmaids, setting up their fitting appointments and everything. All you have to do is provide the staff with their email addresses and phone numbers and the staff literally does the rest! I found that very refreshing because as a busy bride, that is one less thing you have to worry about!
My dress is gorgeous and I couldn't be happier with my choice. I give this shop a 12 out of 10 and recommend them over and over again!!

Whenever I imagined my wedding, I saw myself in lace...timeless, classic, romantic. The search for the perfect wedding gown took me to various bridal salons, in more than one east coast city, but ended in my hometown at The Couture Closet.
Lauren greeted us at the door and set us free to explore. She encouraged us to pull dresses from the beautifully curated collection that hung in the quaint and welcoming space. When my mother saw the Augusta Jones that would ultimately set the tone for our entire wedding, she said, "Try this one. It's exactly what you want!" I saved it for last and when I put it on, I knew.
I had all but decided on another dress prior to our appointment, and I told Lauren this as I stood in the gazebo like structure staring at myself from every angle. She said, "Okay, but can you imagine yourself in this dress on your wedding day?" I beamed as I told her that I could not only imagine myself in this dress, but my daughter at her wedding.
The Couture Closet creates memories. They create heirlooms. They create family history. Tera and Lauren welcome you into their "home" and allow you to play dress-up until you find the perfect fit. They are patient and accommodating, thoughtful and thorough. They respond to a bride's frantic phone calls about shipping concerns, even when they are in NYC for Bridal week. I truly loved my experience at The Couture Closet! The wedding gowns are so beautiful, and the quality is top-notch. Since the owners hand-pick the dresses, you don't feel overwhelmed with choices like in other bridal shops. Lauren and Tera were so friendly and helpful; they made my mother and I feel right at home. They gave us recommendations on timeline and alterations, and answered any questions we had. On the wedding day, my dress was gorgeous, and I received so many compliments. The prices may be a little higher than in some shops, but you really get what you pay for. I'm so glad that I spent the extra dollars to get the dress and accessories that I really wanted because I'm loving all the wedding photos that are coming in. A big thanks to the Couture Closet for helping make our wedding day so special!

I had a wonderful experience at Couture Closet. The owners are very sweet and accomodating. They have a limited but beautiful collection of dresses. I bought my dress, veil and shoes there and they arrived in plenty of time. They gave me recommendations for alterations that I was able to schedule at the store and I couldn't be happier.

These ladies were so easy to work with and their seamstress is a miracle worker! She turned my long dress into a short one and it was absolutely perfect.

I had an amazing time here. The ladies are so sweet. When you schedule an appointment, more than likely you will have the whole place to yourself and all the focus and attention is on you. If you want to have that special bride to be day, this is for sure the place. Plus, none of their dresses go over 3000 dollars and they even have a closeout dress section. I saw a dress marked down to 199 dollars. These are top notch, quality dresses that will have you feeling like a princess.

My wife found her wedding dress here at about the same time I found bidonkentucky.com. We were able to save a ton and she got an amazing looking dress. I went with her to pick it up but had to wait out in the lobby so I wouldn't see. The staff was super friendly and very personable, they all seemed to know my wife and what she had picked out.

Couture Closet was the first bridal boutique I went to in my search for my wedding gown. It was also the last. I found my dress almost immediately. The ladies were so nice and helpful throughout the whole process. I couldn't have asked for a better experience. The atmosphere at the store is great and the customized service is fabulous. I'm so thankful for my experience at Couture Closet!

My experience with the ladies at the Couture Closet was a very good one. They had a wide selection of dresses and I was able to try on different styles to really see what looked good on me and see a nice variety. Their dresses started at the top end of my budget, but I was still able to find one that made me feel so beautiful, and was still within my budget. Both of the girls were a pleasure to work with, and I would definitely recommend going to them to try on dresses.

I got my dress, veil, and headpiece from Couture Closet and was in love with the store. All of their dresses are STUNNING and there are no other stores that compare. Couture Closet provides such great customer service and their priority is to help the bride find the dress of their dreams. I loved my dress and am so sad that I can only wear it once!

Love the Couture Closet!! They were flexible enough to open the store for me to try on dresses even when they were supposed to be closed. The dress I chose was absolutely perfect! Everyone was so kind and easy to work with. They made me feel like a bride! I would definitely recommend them to anyone!

I bought my dress here at a sample sale and the 2 owners were very friendly, attentive, and enthusiastic, even knowing that I wasn't prepared to spend thousands on a dress there. They had styles I hadn't seen in Louisville (they are a few miles away in LaGrange). After purchase they were great about providing fabric swatches, and buttons that I wanted added to the back, as well as recommending places for cleaning and alterations. This is a great salon that provides the kind of service you see on TV shoes (Amsale, SYTtD) without being stuffy at all. I got loads of compliments on my designer dress!

Love their selection, they do not offer the same day run of the mill dresses like the chain bridal stores. I was very pleased with every visit to the store and my dress in the end.

I live in Cincinnati, OH. Many brides travel to Cincinnati for our two popular bridal districts. Two of my cousins have even come from Pittsburgh to purchase their dresses in Cincinnati. Ironically, when it came time to purchase my own dress, I found myself at this fabulous and quaint boutique located in La Grange, KY. The Couture Closet is super classy. The dresses are individually hung throughout the store like artwork, and therefore, allows you to see the entire dress without having to rummage through crowded racks and dresses sealed in plastic rap! The service is outstanding. Lauren and Tera only cater to one or two brides at a time. You have your own changing room and your own viewing area. Their hospitality makes you feel like you're trying on dresses with girlfriends in the home of your Maid of Honor! Lauren and Tera's follow up service is responsive and thorough! This is a true gem of a boutique and rivals any place you'd find in a urban metropolis like LA, NYC, or Houston! I will continue to recommend them to any bride-to-be that crosses my path!

This was the last place I went to look for my dress (at their recommendation! When I called, Tara and Lindsay told me to make sure that I went to some other shops first, so that I could experience the difference in the quality of service and products that Couture Closet offers. I remember thinking, "wow. they seem really confident!" Once I set foot in their store, I realized how right they were!). The whole atmosphere of the store, the dresses and the service that they offer is like what I would expect to see/experience in NYC or Chicago or LA. I didn't think that I could experience that here! Although I tried on several dresses, I knew when I'd found 'the One' (like when I met my husband!! :). Lindsay and Tara made the experience so relaxing and luxurious. I bought my veil and headpiece there too, since they were so great to work with and the quality of their products was amazing! Go to the Couture Closet! Let the ladies pamper you and help you look your most beautiful!!!!

Couture Closet was a great place to find a dress. It was actually the only place I tried on dresses. I was unsure about buying my dress there mainly because it was the only place it had gone, but I called them and they took my measurements on a day they were closed because I lived out of town. They were quick to recognize what kind of dresses I liked (even when I didn't know). They have a great place for friends and family to sit and they take great care of anyone who comes in the door. My dress was amazing and everything that I wanted. I couldn't have been more happier with my experience at Couture Closet.

We went searching around everywhere for the perfect dress, but couldn't find any. We tried upscale boutiques, and dress stores that were questionable about how they were still in business. Finally, we came to Couture Closet and it was like heaven. So many dresses to choose from, all gorgeous. We ended up buying the cutest dress, it was absolutely stunning.

If you've been to a place like David's bridal, you will appreciate the girls at Couture Closet even more! Attention to the whole bridal group, style and boutique is what this place is about. Service is the best I've seen. And the choices of gowns are endless! It is easy to get ready for your special day at Couture Closet!

After going to almost every bridal store in Louisville, I was becoming very overwhelmed and confused, finding many dresses that I liked a lot, but none that I loved. I'd always heard that when you find "the dress" you'll know, but I wasn't getting that feeling and after trying on tons of dresses, I decided to take a break from wedding dress shopping. However, I already had an appointment scheduled at The Couture Closet during their sample sale. My mom convinced me to go ahead and go to the appointment at The Couture Closet and I am SO glad that she did because I found my perfect dress that day! I knew immediately that it was the perfect dress for me.
The Couture Closet has a wonderful selection of gorgeous dresses. And the owners are amazing. They are so nice and so helpful. I ended up getting my head piece and veil at The Couture Closet too. It is definitely worth the drive to La Grange to check out this great bridal boutique.
