Matt and Jessica went above and beyond for our wedding and our engagement shoot! Matt was so quick to respond to our messages and super helpful with providing us tips to get the best of our experience. They were on top of it the whole day!! From Jessica feeding me pretzels so I wouldn't pass out, helping with my dress and holding that door! It just showed getting those special photos we wanted was their ultimate goal and they did not disappoint! We had sample photos the next day! and the full gallery a couple of days later! I would highly recommend!!! Thanks again for being awesome photographers and awesome people!!! -

Best Wedding Photographers
The Clausen Gallery was an excellent choice for our wedding photography. Communication with Matt and Jessica was great - they answered all of our questions immediately and made the process very smooth. The sample images we saw beforehand were high quality and clear, giving us confidence in their work. On the day of our wedding, Matt and Jessica were amazing photographers who captured all the special moments beautifully. They were also very helpful, going above and beyond to make sure everything went perfectly. We're thrilled with the photos and would highly recommend The Clausen Gallery to any couple looking for talented and professional wedding photographers. -

I'm absolutely obsessed with the photos from The Clausen Gallery! Matt and Jessica are amazing photographers and great people to work with.
I had a full-service planner for my wedding but they provided so much information ahead of my wedding date along with tips and tricks, vendor recommendations, and info about timelines that I felt like I could have planned it myself. They were so responsive and checked in regularly ahead of the wedding date.
On the day, they arrive on time and ready to shoot. They were great at catching the most intimate moments between myself and the bridesmaids as well as my husband and his groomsmen ahead of the ceremony. They also had a great eye for the little details we would want to be captured on film. I didn't feel like they were directing us too much, rather, they were capturing the important moments as we enjoyed our day and experienced it fully.
The posed portraits we asked for were not awkward and went by so quickly. We were able to get great shots and authentic smiles with the direction and assistance from Matt and Jessica.
Where they really shine is action shots! When I saw the bouquet toss photos I was so impressed. We were joking that my aunt pushed someone to get the bouquet and Matt and Jessica captured the exact moment when it happed. The reception was captured perfectly! With the same care and attention to detail as our getting-ready photos, we have all the best moments on film without feeling like we had to ask for anything. They instinctively know when a photo moment is happening!
We had preview images in less than 24 hours and we received our full gallery a week after the wedding. Their speed, quality, attention to detail, and professionalism are absolutely unmatched! I've worked with other event photographers all over the US for my day job and I can honestly say they are the best photographers I've ever worked with.
We are beyond grateful for their amazing work and I would 100% recommend them to anyone looking for a photographer! -

Matt and Jessica were an absolute delight to work with. We had to postpone our wedding several times because of COVID, and they were incredibly friendly, understanding, and flexible as we changed our date and even our wedding location. Leading up to the event day, expectations were clearly communicated, and I didn't have to worry at all about whether our special day would be captured -- they were absolutely professional and on top of everything that needed to be done. Our final photos are gorgeous and were edited and sent to us promptly. They were by far the easiest vendor to work with, and I offer my highest recommendation for Matt and Jessica for any of your photography needs! -

November 2021 Wedding
The Clausen Gallery exceeded our expectations. Matt and Jessica were both very professional and easy going. From engagement photos to our wedding day, they were absolutely amazing and extremely helpful throughout the entire process. They gave us ideas when we ran out of poses and made sure to capture every important moment. I was going through a really hard time on my wedding day (my mother couldn’t attend due to COVID) but by looking at the photos they were able to capture, you couldn’t tell. They captured so many beautiful photos and fun moments. Thank you Matt and Jessica, you two are every talented and I’m thankful we had you guys by our side to capture the most important day of our lives! -

We found Matt & Jessica through a family friend and once we checked out their site we knew they were the ones for us. Matt is so easy to talk to & work with. They were happy to create a special timeline and price for us other than what they listed. They were always very quick to reply and very friendly. My now husband & I had never done a photo shoot before but when we met up for our engagement shoot, Matt & Jessica made us feel super comfortable. This just confirmed that we wanted them to shoot our wedding and we are beyond happy we did. Our pictures turned out amazing & it was so fun to work with them. A huge perk is that they’re a husband/wife team so Jessica was able to handle the getting ready pictures for the girls and Matt was able to handle the boys. I cannot recommend them enough. You won’t be disappointed in their professionalism, friendliness, and quality of work. Plus they had an insanely fast turn around time for our pictures. We got them within a couple of weeks. You won’t be disappointed if you book them. -

Absolutely Wonderful!!
These two did an absolutely amazing job at my wedding this past September! They were so great at capturing so many little important moments! They gave great directions and really made my husband and I feel comfortable when taking photos! All of my bridal party had nothing but wonderful things to say! With both of the photographers they got so many great images and we had them back to us fully edited within 3 weeks, and preview images the same day! I highly recommend them to anyone! -

Amazing wedding photographer!!
It’s hard to put into words how good of a job Matt did! He is super friendly fun and attentive! We couldn’t imagine having any other photographer do our wedding. We had to postpone our wedding twice due to the pandemic and through out the two years, he check in from time to time and offer his help with anything we needed. Matt & Jessica were probably my favorite vendors we worked with. They had everything streamlined for me before the wedding by keeping in contact with me on a regular basis, (without me having to initiate, which is super helpful) and they responded within a couple hours at the max whenever I had a question, photography related or otherwise. The shot list they have pre-made hits all the marks so you don’t have to remember to wrangle your grandma over for a portrait, and they were super flexible with any specific shots you’d like to include. All of our photos were gorgeous and romantic, except for the goofy ones which all rightfully highlighted some of the funny memorable moments that I will treasure forever. They sent me 12 beautiful shots that same evening(!!!!!) and had my entire 700+ gallery done in less than 2 weeks. Now I just have to stop lagging and actually get some photos hung in my hallway! 10/10 overall ❤️ -

Matt Clausen and his wife were amazing. We had the platinum package and it’s worth every penny. Unfortunately our original photographer, who was a family friend, passed away a month before our wedding and Matt was amazing through the entire process. He took away a lot of my stress! Very professional and easy to work with. He kept us in the loop every step. He was very responsive to all of my messages. Having him there the whole entire day was amazing. We got some great shots. This is one area of your wedding you want to splurge on, so I highly recommend Matt and the platinum package! -

We are so glad we hired The Clausen Gallery for our wedding and our engagement photos! Our photography package was the one thing in our wedding budget that we would not compromise quality for price, as pictures are the one keepsake that will last forever. Matt and Jessica are incredibly sweet and talented, and the quality of their work is outstanding. They helped make us feel at ease in front of the camera and kept our pictures more candid so it looked natural, as opposed to the very posed and fake photos you may get with other photographers. They blend easily into the crowd during the ceremony and reception while still capturing beautiful close-up photos. My husband and I are also very goofy and free-spirited, and I feel that Matt and Jessica were able to capture our personalities perfectly in our photos. Their turn around time for their pictures is amazing! I know many friends who waited six months or more for their photos, while Matt and Jessica were able to give us some the night of the wedding and had our album completed less than two weeks after our wedding. I cannot say enough good things about them and I highly recommend using The Clausen Gallery for any professional photos! -

It’s easy to get lost in the systemic factory of having a wedding. Too often, humanity is shown by those closest to you. The Clausens were amazing people who always helped us know that this was our special day they are joining in on instead of just another job for them. Amazing! Would use them again!
They were recommended by good friends of ours and they loved them so we naturally wanted to use them as well! They were very flexible! I didn't originally know that they were based outside of Bakersfield so when we were setting up our engagement photos we met half way and loved the park he picked out. And for our wedding they were again very flexible, they loved that I had some of my own ideas of photos I wanted, and they happily did them! -

Such a Wonderful experience!
Matt and Jessica were amazing from the beginning!
We were recommended The Clausen gallery by some friends and were pleasantly surprised by their package prices. Upon viewing their website and Instagram page we decided we loved Matt’s photography style and sent an email to coordinate. Matt’s quick response time was impressively well as his flexibility with prices to fit into my budget. I canceled the engagement shoot twice and rescheduled and he was polite and accommodating and had the most understanding and positive attitude. The day of our wedding went so smoothly! Matt and Jessica were there before we were (drove over 2.5 hrs to our venue) and knew how to pose us, what shots were important and maintained professionalism the entire time. Jessica even held my bouquet and styled my train to make sure we got the best shots. I would absolutely recommend The Clausen Gallery for any wedding and I hope to work with them both again in the future! -

Super duper
We booked Matt and Jessica a little over a year in advance and it was definitely worth the wait because we got quite literally the best wedding photos ever. They matched our personalities well, even our camera shy friends were able to shine through. We had a lot of fun and we all felt like friends. Being comfortable with your photographer is super important to have quality pictures of your best day. Most of our pictures are candid so they retell a genuine account of the day. Definitely book them especially if photos are really important to you. -

A definite yes!
The Clausen's were a great choice for me and my husband because we wanted a photographer who would be quick to get the main portrait-style shots with the bridal party (including the immediate family), which allowed us more time to celebrate with our guests. Their strong suit is candids AND SUNSET SHOTS, for sure! If I had to critique anything, it would be that I had to provide the shot list. My suggestions would be to have a shot list to send to clients who can then check mark which pictures they're most interested in getting! -

If you're have any fears on the abilities of Clausen Photography, I will say confidently I trust his team with any wedding party I could give a referral to on booking him. He was able to capture the heart and soul of mine and my wife's wedding and continued to do that throughout the evening. They never let up, kept to a wonderful schedule and allowed me and my wife to go through the night without wondering what we were doing next. 10/10 would recommend. -

Amazing experience. Exactly what we wanted.
We had a great experience with Clausen Gallery for our wedding. We did not want a package, just great photographs of a few hours of the big day. They worked with us on this and we got exactly what we wanted. The pictures they captured were exactly what we wanted. We got some great shots. We did some getting ready pictures, church wedding shots during and after ceremony, pictures at a park, and then tons of reception photos. It was a great experience. We received our edited pictures very quickly and got to look through the album on our honeymoon. We would highly recommend them. -

What can I say about Matt and his amazing work? His prices are fair, the photos are breathtaking. We hired him to take photos at our wedding and he was so patient and willing to take any photos. He was not in a hurry to leave and made sure that we where happy. By the end of the day he felt more like a friend doing us favor. The pictures were breathtaking. Not only was he reasonably priced but he was worth so much more than we paid, he took so many wonderful shots and went along with all the pictures requests we asked for! He was always taking pictures of something, so we have pictures of every part of our wedding! Another thing about Matt Clausen photography was when chaos started with getting things ready for the wedding, he jumped right in to help!
