Helpful Venue

The Captain's Club worked with us for about a year to make our wedding special! They not only helped us out with finding vendors but checked in on us during this time of the covid pandemic. They have been very informative and communicated with us every time the government changed an order. With our wedding cordanator Alexandra she was very organized and helpful with the cermony. I called her my wedding planner to the family with how well she helped me. The food was absolutely amazing! The family could not stop talking about the mac-n-cheese and mushrooms! I would choose them cause you are not just getting a venue, you are getting a staff that will make your experience perfect.

The perfect venue and staff!

When I first visited the Captain's Club, I knew it was the perfect place for our ceremony and reception. We held the ceremony on the back patio, and guests were also able to conveniently use the patio with strings lights and tables throughout the night during the reception! Alexandra was incredible to work with, as was the entire Captain's Club staff. They will literally go out of their way to help you, and that did not go unnoticed. My guests are still complimenting both the beautiful venue and it's staff, a few months later! I would recommend the Captain's Club to anyone!!

Amazing experience!!

The Captain’s Club at Woodfield made planning my wedding easier!!! Right from the start, Alexandra was prompt to answer my emails before we even booked and up until the big day! I do not think my wedding would have been “as easy to plan” without the help of Alexandra, and all the amazing staff at The Captain’s Club!!!

Top Notch!!

Overall, the Captain’s Club did a superior job with our wedding! The place is gorgeous from the inside of the ball room to the grounds. There were so many photo opportunities. The planning process was so easy. Every single person was such a pleasure to deal with. All questions, whether it was email or a quick phone call was answered so fast! They were very accommodating to any request we had!
We were planning on having our ceremony outside but it was raining; they had a backup plan to move the ceremony indoors and it was equally as beautiful. We didn’t even rehearse the backup plan and none of our guests even knew. Kerri and the staff made it look so seamless. I can’t stress enough that they really know what they are doing!!
We were married there 5 months ago and our guests are still talking about how fabulous the food was. (We had the salmon, thin-sliced sirloin with the demi glaze, and the beef carving station.) We also had a coney bar and our guests raved about the late night snacks.
We are so glad we chose the Captain’s Club! They really made the planning so easy. They worked with all our vendors and I didn’t have to worry about a thing. We would pick the Captain’s Club a thousand times over!!! Truly, TOP NOTCH!

Very Satisfied!!

Picking out a venue can be a very stressful time in wedding planning but The Captain's Club at Woodfield made very easy! The staff was extremely helpful answering any questions or concerns and worked with what we needed. The food is AMAZING and we got to try plenty of options at our tasting. I could call them anytime if I had questions and they would help me out right away. They were very accommodating as well. I would definitely recommend!

Phenomenal to work with

We had our wedding reception at Captains Club on July 28th 2018. The staff was wonderful to work with, the atmosphere is splendid, and the food was absolutely excellent. 10/10 would recommend.

Perfect from start to finish!

I had an amazing experience from start to finish with this venue! I got married on May 19th, 2018 and to be honest hesitated if this was the best place for our wedding venue at first just because I wasn't sure if it fit our vision. As soon as I contacted Kerri and spoke to her she accommodated all of our needs and made it a personal experience. We had 5 months to plan our wedding and it really was smooth sailing with Kerri and her staff's help. I knew the day of the wedding everything would look perfect because of their eye for detail. The food tasted wonderful from the appetizers to the entree. All 215 of our guest felt comfortably seated and taken care of. The room really came together once it was decorated and the outdoor patio offered a place for cocktail hour and for people to mingle throughout the night. I really couldn't think of anything bad to say about my experience at The Captain's Club. My husband and I would strongly recommend it to anyone!

What a great wedding experience for our son and daughter-in-law! Denny Dowdall and the entire staff at Woodfield were wonderful to work with and provided a memorable experience for a stressless wedding day! They were accommodating at every turn, dropped whatever they were doing to answer questions. We highly recommend this venue for a top-flight, quality experience for any family planning a wedding! Amazing venue, staff and the wedding coordinator Nicole was BEYOND AMAZING!!! She was so helpful, quick to respond and all around fantastic to work with. The food was exceptional and there honestly is not one thing I would complain about. Great prices and many options to fit everyone's budget!

The entire staff at Captain’s Club were a joy to work with. Ashley, Nicole, and Kerri made our wedding day perfect with their skill and coordination. Our guests raved about the delicious food. Our ceremony was moved inside last minute due to weather, but there were no hitches in the transition. The indoor space was beautiful for our ceremony and reception. The bridal suite was clean and extremely useful on the day of the wedding. The best part of the wedding planning process was communication with Ashley, Nicole, and Kerri because they were prompt, accurate, and polite, and a bride wants nothing more than strong communication from her venue. Bravo Captain’s Club staff!

The Captain’s Club was the perfect place to have our wedding reception! From start to finish everything turned out perfect. Their wedding planner, Kerri, was extremely helpful! She went out of her way to make sure everything was perfect for my special day and set up just right. She was always quick to respond when I emailed her or called her and never let me worry about a thing. She and her entire staff were awesome and so easy and nice to work with! Denny, the chef cooked everything to perfection! My friends and family could not get over how delicious the food was! We had family that just returned from a two week cruise from Alaska tell us the Cajun salmon at our wedding was better then any salmon they had in Alaska. We also had the late night sliders and mac and cheese that were a huge hit as well! I would not change a thing thanks to Kerri and all the staff at the Captains Club!! I would highly recommend this venue to anyone; you will not be disappointed, I promise!

I was bummed when we had to move our ceremony inside, due to rain, but everything turned out beautiful and we had an amazing day! Everyone was very helpful and let me wait until the last minute to finally decide to move the ceremony inside.

We selected the Captain's Club at Woodfield for our ceremony and reception venue and couldn't have been happier with the way everything turned out!! The staff, especially Kerri and Ashley, were super attentive to everything throughout the whole process and ensured that everything ran smoothly on our wedding day. They also gave us suggestions on where to go with other vendors that they often work with to make the process easier. The venue offered a spectacular backdrop for the wedding and we did everything right on site so that our guests never had to leave the premises. The food was fantastic, as well as the drinks and it was an especially easy place to decorate considering how beautiful everything there already is. We would highly recommend this place to anyone looking to have their wedding in the Grand Blanc area- you will not regret it!!

I was very pleased with my experience with the Captain's Club, and more specifically, Kerri. She was quick to respond to any questions during the planning and was a great resource for all wedding/reception type questions. When we (the wedding party) arrived at the reception, we were greeted by staff with appetizers and drinks and they were quick to take any bags/purses we had brought and stow them away. They kept the reception running smoothly so there was no delay from dinner, to cake cutting, to dancing. It was very well organized and the staff made us feel welcome at all times. If I were to do it all again, I would choose Captain's Club without hesitation.

Captain's Club exceed our expectations! We held our ceremony and reception at the Captain's Club and they helped make our day everything we dreamed. With 200 guests, we had plenty of room for dancing, great food (buffet) and excellent help from the staff. The staff was great to work with and we never had any issues with responses during the planning process and they helped make sure everything went as planned the day of the wedding. We couldn't have asked for a better venue!

After doing the majority of the wedding planning for my daughter, who lives out of state, I now know how critical it is to not only choose a beautiful setting for a wedding reception, but to have an excellent wedding coordinator in charge. I want to thank Kerri, the wedding coordinator, and the staff at Captain's Club at Woodfield for making my daughter's and her new husband's wedding reception everything they could have hoped for. Kerri was professional, organized, and easy to work with. I especially appreciated how prompt she was in answering emails and phone calls. Kerri gave excellent advice when asked, and went out of her way to make this special evening magical. The food was excellent, the wait staff respectful and prompt, and the venue was beautiful. I highly recommend Captain's Club to anyone in the Grand Blanc, Michigan area.

My husband and I could not have asked for a more perfect venue for our special day! Not only is the venue itself absolutely stunning, but the staff is phenomenal! From the very beginning, Kerri and her wonderful group of ladies treated us as if we were their only couple and made sure to put our needs first. Even when our wedding was over a year away, Kerri patiently and thoroughly answered every single one of my questions within a day of me asking them and always made me feel at ease. They were flexible and understanding of all of our requests (no matter how odd they seemed) and exceeded our expectations in every aspect!

When the day of the wedding finally arrived, I was blown away by the level of customer service and personal touches that Kerri and her staff provided! Every staff member was friendly, professional, and competent. I never once worried about the day-of timeline because Kerri was there every step of the way during the ceremony and reception and kept everyone on track. Kerri even remembered a comment my husband made about the escargot appetizer in one of our meetings and made sure to have a plate of them saved for him!!

In addition, it's been 3 weeks since our wedding and our guests are STILL raving about the venue and the food!

All in all, if you want complete and stress-free perfection on your wedding day, choose Captain's Club at Woodfield. Hands down, one of the best wedding venues in the state of Michigan!

Captains Club at Woodfield was my dream location, and Kerri and Ashley were the dream team. My husband and I looked at two other venues before looking into Captains Club and that's where our looking ended. As soon as we drove up the drive I knew this is where I wanted to get married. It was everything that I had hoped to find in a wedding venue. For those of you living in Michigan you know how unpredictable the weather can be; which is why I wanted to have an outdoor ceremony but to make sure that we had some type of covering in case the weather turned bad. We had our wedding Ceremony on the patio under the tent and it was perfect, it was a little chilly that day but that was expected since we were married in October. Kerri made sure that we had everything that we could possible need or want that day. She even made sure that if worst came to worst the ceremony could be moved down into the ballroom but luckily that didn't have to happen. I had been to CC a few times while it was set up for a ceremony in the ballroom so I knew that it would look fantastic if we couldn't keep it outdoors. Our reception was held here as well in the ballroom; I'm a DYI bride so we did all of the decor ourselves. Since we were married on a Friday and there wasn't an event on Thursday we were able to come in before our rehearsal and set everything up. Kerri, Ashley, and Morgan were very helpful the entire time we were there. They were amazing the 10 months leading up to our wedding as well. Kerri always got back to me whenever I had questions and I had a lot and they were always helpful when I would stop in.
The food was amazing, although I really didn't get to eat much; to busy talking and enjoying the party. We have received rave reviews from all of our family and friends on the food, guest telling us how great the food was especially the Key West Veggies and the 5 cheese mac and cheese. The only down side was that the night just went way to fast, I wish that it lasted a little longer.

I loved having my wedding at the captains club. It may be more than other nearby venues but definitely worth it! The venue is beautiful. The ballroom where we had the reception almost needs no decoration it's beautiful on its own. We had out ceremony outside in the tent and even with the rain worked out beautifully. The food was delicious and the staff was great to work with. Kerri the event coordinator is excellent to work with and is so helpful in making out day special. We couldn't have done it without her and her staff. I couldn't have asked for a better venue!

Kerri & Ashley did an awesome job helping me plan my reception. They even helped lay out all the centerpieces & cake table decorations. My reception was exactly what I wanted & I couldn't of asked for more! I got several compliments on how good the food was & how beautiful the venue site was. I plan on recommending them to other brides looking for a reception venue.

From stepping into the doors at the Captain's Club we knew this place was perfect.
Not only is the view amazing, the staff is outstanding and goes above and beyond to make your day exactly how you want it. Kerri is the sweetest, most down to earth person and doesn't tell you want you want to hear, but truly helps guide you in the wedding planning journey!

The Captain's Club is the only wedding venue that should be considered when planning this special day. Kerri and her staff exemplify professionalism and truly understand that te day is all about te bride and groom. The entire day went off without a hitch and made the entire experience stress free so we could just enjoy the moment!!!

If you are looking for a venue where everything is taken care of this is your place. Kerri, is amazing and we never had to worry about anything not being done. She is on top of everything throughout your wedding day. It is a very beautiful place, and we also got a huge discount for having a November wedding. I would highly recommend using this venue!

I could not have asked for a better location or staff for my wedding reception. The food was excellent. Set up and organization by Kerri was phenomenal. They paid attention to the small details from the room set up, table settings, wine list, and dietary restrictions. The photo opportunities are numberless. Just plain amazing!

Woodfield is a beautiful location with several different locations for your ceremony. The food was excellent and the servers are the best I've seen. My guests are still raving about how beautiful everything was there and the excellent service they received. Having Kerri there to help with all the details and coordination was truly a blessing. She did such an amazing job start to finish with the whole process. Kerri and her team set up the entire ballroom and ceremony space for my wedding exactly as I have envisioned. I can't thank her enough for her hard work!

From start to finish, Kerri was AMAZING. There are no other words to put it, my wedding was perfection from beginning to end. The venue was beyond beautiful, the food was exceptional (this is coming from a very difficult crowd to please!), & Kerri was incredible to work with. She was so flexible, and easy to work with, above all, she knows EXACTLY what she's doing (trust her!) I couldn't have asked for a better venue, staff, or team. Our biggest fear that with such a small staff, and with weddings booked every weekend throughout the year, they would be burnt out at mine, but they delivered flawlessly! They deserve every award they've gotten and will continue to get!

I am so glad that I had my wedding at Woodfield. The entire staff was so great to work with, especially Kerri. We met with Kerri multiple times throughout the planning process and she was always professional and kind. She helped me create the wedding of my dreams. I could not have asked for more from her.
The food and service at Woodfield was also great! We got many compliments on our dinner.

We couldn't have chose a better venue! This is hands down the best pick in the Genesee County/Grand Blanc area. It's the newest as well. It's affordable as well! Kerri was such a big help, she was pretty much our wedding planner because she recommended every vendor we chose and we wouldn't change a thing! We'd recommend Woodfield to anyone!

Loved this place! It is the perfect place for a reception, with the beautiful staircase doing down into the room, and it's own bar. The staff was extremely helpful and set up the place cards and cake cutting knives and champagne toast glasses. I just had to drop them off and they were where they needed to be when the time was there! I loved that they do their own catering as well, one less vendor I had to find! and the food was amazing!

I could not have picked a better place for my daughters wedding. The staff was spectacular and made my daughter feel like she was a real princess. The food was spectacular and Kerri and Kari were awesome. Denny was fantastic with the menu and many of the guest are still talking about what a wonderful reception it was. Many said they will keep Captain's Club in mind for their functions. I could go on forever about the fabulous staff, service and food but all fives should say it all for me. Thank you to the entire staff for a most memorable experience.

I found the staff at Woodfield be exceptionall easy to work with. I actually enjoyed talking to them. Their flexibility was put to the test when the bridal party arrived very late to the reception. The staff really hustled to get the food out quickly, and it was delicious.

My daughter had her wedding at the Captains Club of Woodfield January 22, 2011. Their knowledge and professionalism was superb. From the initial planning stage until the day of the wedding they worked with us every step of the way. The vendors we used (DJ, Photographer, linen, flowers and cake) felt very comfortable at Woodfield making everying flow. Since our event was quite large we needed everything to happen in a timely fashion and it did. Our guests had such a great tiime, loved the ambiance, food and danced all night. The Captains Club of Woodfield is definitely the place to have your reception/event without any hesitation. Bonnie Guith

The staff at Woodfield was AMAZING! The food was wonderful and the service was spectacular! Kerri was so helpful and accommodating. I would recommend Woodfield to anyone that is looking for a place to have their reception.

We had a wonderful day. The staff helped and answered question when I needed them. They were very pleasant and kind. I say it was worth everything we paid.

You guys did an awesome job!! Kerri did an especially amazing job... so easy to work with and great at returning emails and phone calls in record time!! Sometimes just seconds! She also made me feel very calm about the whole day. Harrison did a great job at the reception also!! Everyone said how nice he was.

Kerri and her staff at the Captain's Club were extremely helpful in planning and making sure our day was perfect! She took care of many of the small details that might be overlooked in planning a big wedding event. Our guests all agreed that the food was excellent!

Memories to cherish for a lifetime. Kerri, Harrison & the rest of the staff were wonderful! Kerri is very attentive to detail & made the day go as smooth as possible! We are very happy with our choice of having Woodfield as our venue for both ceremony & reception, as well as rehearsal dinner. We had alot of compliments on the food!

The wedding coordinators were very helpful and organized. They made sure the day went smoothly. The food was amazing and we received a lot of compliments. We were very happy overall with the service and venue.

Could not have asked for a better venue. The coordinators, and chef were a huge help, and offered much of thier time and expertise. The place is beautiful!

Our rehearsal dinner was beautiful, thanks to the Captain's Club at Woodfield. The food was delicious and the room lent itself beautifully to our decorations. The staff was friendly and we ended up having a very nice time celebrating our impending marriage with our friends and family.

They were really easy to get in touch with in the beginning. I think they may have gotten busy with everything. I didnt really like their food much, if I had to do my wedding again, I would not have chosen them.
