Unique and delicious cake to make your day more special

We decided to go with the Cakery as we have always liked their cakes before, and they did not disappoint. The appointment for the cake tasting and cake design went smoothly. The cake turned out just was we had designed it, and it was super tasty. They even provide a replica of the top tier for your first anniversary.

Delicious and gorgeous

Our cake with The Cakery was amazing! They were so easy to work with, on time and they make a delicious cake! The red velvet was a dream, but the chocolate and vanilla were also incredible. My wife and I are so happy we went with The Cakery.

Best cake I have ever eaten

The Cakery was the best decision we made for our wedding! The cake was delicious everyone was raving about it. (We did vanilla with strawberry swirl cake). They nailed the decorations. I would strongly suggest everyone to go here for any cake/sweets. We went and spoke to multiple companies and no one compared to The Cakery! Best wedding cake ever!

Beautiful and Delicious Cake!

The Cakery of Dayton made the planning process seamless for our big day. They are highly communicative and responsive. They truly take making cakes to an art form. You can give them a picture and they are able to recreate what you imagine for your special day. I would highly recommend the Strawberry Swirl as it was delicious and enjoyed by many guests!!

Beautiful cake

Our cake was perfect! It tasted amazing, so much so that we barely had any leftovers because everyone went back for seconds! They even made a little sculpture of our pup so she could be part of our day!

They offered a thorough tasting prior to booking, going over all their flavors and options. Were able to accommodate exactly what we visioned with cupcakes for the reception and a small personal cake for us to cut and save! They delivered everything and it was all delicious!

Delicious!!!!

The Cakery was part of the contract with our venue. The cake we chose was spiced with cream cheese and it was amazing! So delicious and they boxed up our top tier for our anniversary in one year. Everyone loved the design we chose and how the cakery made it come to life.

Absolutely Delicious!

Highly recommend getting your wedding cake from here! They went above and beyond by sending filled cupcakes home with me so my fiance in another state could taste their cake. They executed my vision perfectly and we had no cake left over, our guests raved about it!

Willing to work with exactly what we wanted!

The Cakery is a fantastic place to get your wedding cake. Our tasting was absolutely lovely- they let us try all of their most popular flavors as well as one unique flavor we had specifically requested. They were sure to have each cake option with the topping we had asked for to make sure we got what tasted best! Not to mention all of their cake was absolutely delicious! So glad we went with The Cakery for our wedding cake and cannot wait until October for the real thing! We have also recently gotten cupcake versions of each of our tiers to let our wedding party try them and they were just as delicious as we remembered from our original tasting!

The Cakery is our number one go to for cakes, cupcakes and cookies! We've used them for many events including our daughter's wedding this past weekend. Jamie at the Cakery made the Pinterest picture of my ideal wedding cake come to life ---and it was more delicious than I could have ever imagined! Our cake was one of the first items we crossed off on the wedding planning checklist and Jamie made it so simple! The most difficult part was selecting a flavor – all the samples were simply delectable! We booked the Cakery in June of 2015 and did not meet with Jamie again until June of 2016. Even one year later, Jamie had an accurate record of the notes and details we had discussed in our first meeting. She then worked with us to finalize the size, flavors, etc. She handled the delivery of the cake and coordinated with the florist to ensure the flowers were added. Our guests were raving about how delicious the cake was and it was simply beautiful!

We sampled four bakeries and The Cakery was by far the best. The cake was exactly what we envisioned. We loved that the option was given to have a cake stand and also a fake styrofoam layer to make the cake look bigger. That was brilliant. The cake was dense, moist and delicious. The frosting was of thenhighest quality...and we are very picky about that. There was plenty of cake to feed everyone and we even had some left over. Yum!

For our wedding I really wanted a naked cake full of flowers on top. The Cakery was wonderful! They let me take home cupcakes to try over 4-6 hours setting out so I could be sure the cake would remain moist. They checked up on me and were wonderful at helping make decisions for the size of the cake. Our cakes were just amazing!! We received so many compliments on how moist the cake was, how light the buttercream was and how beautiful they were! We had a chocolate cake with peanut butter buttercream and a spice cake with a caramel icing, both of which were just delicious! Thank you very much!!

The Troy site provided us with a beautiful wedding cake. They also had a cake stand we could rent to use. We loved the cake and it tasted wonderful!

I absolutely LOVED my wedding cake from the Cakery!! I was so, so excited when I saw it at my reception!! I wanted a 'peacock' themed cake- with two lovey little fondant peacocks at the top and their tail feathers/petals trailing down the sides of the cake. Then on the layers lace/flowers. I wanted some gold/silver pearlizing for a little color. I felt I had some what of a nontraditional request ha, and from the moment I met with them they seemed soo excited to do my cake!! They gave great suggestions and advice! I showed them a picture of what I wanted, but we were able to discuss/change a few things that I would have wanted to be different from the picture. I told them although I wanted to tie in my peacock theme I did not want my cake to look like a mardi gras cake, I still wanted it to be a nice, romantic, white, pretty wedding cake.. and I didn't want the little peacock birds on the top to look silly. They were soo wonderful to work with. I could not wait to see my cake, I was very anxious to see it how it'd turn out. When I noticed it at the reception I literally took my husband and ran over to see it- it was AMAZING!! They did phenomenal work!!! It just was beautiful, so detailed, just incredible, honestly better than what I was imagining/picturing. Beyond how beautiful and perfect it was... it was DELICIOUS! :) Everyone was asking where our cake was from. We had no leftover pieces of cake.... Everyone ate it and so many went back for seconds. I can't wait to eat the top in another year on our anniversary!! I would highly recommend The Cakery to anyone, for any event. Beyond impressed with them and so thankful I went with them!!!

Ordered my wedding cake from the Cakery. I love their cake and knew that its where I wanted to go for my wedding. They were very professional and attentive to detail. They called a week before the wedding to go over everything to make sure that it was still correct and to make sure there were no changes. Awesome cake flavors and very friendly staff!

Like many brides, I had several different cake tastings. However, I choose The Cakery after having some Cakery cake at a birthday party. Our wedding cake was incredibly delicious and beautiful. I enjoyed with working Rachel and the rest of her team. Highly recommend to every bride. I will continue to use The Cakery for all my other cake needs.

We used The Cakery for our wedding cake and other desserts and had a fantastic experience. We had used them before for other parties and always have had great experiences so we were thrilled when they were able to do our wedding cake as well. They not only did our cake but we also had numours different types of cupcakes of different flavors for our guests as well. Everyone raved about how good they were and there were no leftovers! We ordered cupcakes for the guests and a special 6inch for us to cut and keep. They were amazing and delicious. I worked with them through my wedding planner as I live in Florida and was getting married in Dayton.

The 6inch round was just what I was hoping for as it had little gold clocks gone crazy as our theme was Alice in Wonderland. Everyone loved the cupcakes as well.

The Cakery was amazing! They came recommended to us by our caterer (Elite Catering, also wonderful) and we couldn't be happier. We enjoyed our tasting so much that we included four different flavors in our wedding cake. The lemon key lime cake was so delicious, definitely our favorite and the flavor we chose for our anniversary cake. The design of the cake was so beautiful it was hard to cut into it!

I could not be more pleased with my experience at The Cakery. We hired them for our May wedding in Richmond, IN. The Cakery was so easy to work with and created the cake of our dreams! We had so many compliments on our cake - not just the design - but the flavor! Hands down the best wedding cake I've had. I would highly recommend them for any event.

I live in San Francisco, but was having my wedding in Ohio, where my now-husband's hometown.

Since I won't be there in person until two days before my actual wedding day, all communication was via phone calls and emails. I sent them a picture of the cake I liked, along with different favors of cake pops. They patiently walked me through each step (I didn't know you were supposed to keep the top tier for a year! hahah..), and confirmed with me when they received my cake topper and two pins (for my cake).

I had never seen the cake or anything I had order from them until the wedding day. But WOW!!! The cake looks PERFECT!!! :) And the most importantly, YUMMY!!! A lot of my guests asked me where I had order my cake from! :)

We had The Cakery recommended to us by my husband's co-workers, and were THRILLED with the quality of their product!! The cake quote was less than half of what we received elsewhere, and they worked with us on involving all of my creative ideas. The cake was gorgeous, delivered early, and tasted GREAT!! I will be going back to them for years to come!! Call and set up a tasting with them- you won't regret it!!

This place is AMAZING. I really am not even a huge fan of most cake (more of an ice cream, cookies, etc. kind of girl) but this place has cake that will knock your socks off! SOOO gooooood.

Everyone raved about the wedding cake at my daugher's wedding saying it was the best cake they have ever had at any wedding. The consultants were easy to work with and offered suggestions when we asked. The set up of the cake was done exactly as we wanted. The cake was decorated lovely-- with fine and clean lines--and the cakes were yummy--and very moist. I recommend the Cakery for any special occassion.

I can't say enough good things about The Cakery. We ordered an 8 inch wedding cake in red velvet and 57 cupcakes in white, chocolate, and strawberry swirl. Everything looked amazing and exactly how I expected. Our guests were raving about how great the cake and cupcakes tasted and looked. I will without a doubt recommend The Cakery to anyone who needs a cake for any occasion especially a wedding.

The cake was absolutely delicious! There employees were wonderful. When my cake topper fell off my cake it ruined my cake... thank god they fixed it and it looked wonderful

We tried a lot of cake (partially because it was fun, but mostly because we couldn't find the exact balance of value and quality we were looking for). We ended up choosing the Cakery because it was the best price, and had the widest range of flavors.
We had 220 final guests, and ordered enough cake for 200 people because everyone gave us advice that we should order less cake or we would have too many extras. We went with chocolate, white, strawberry swirl, lemon with keylime filling, and red velvet. And had zero extras whatsoever. People could not get enough! The design of the cake was beautiful as well, and they were very flexible and professional. We highly recommend the Cakery!

The Cakery made my Daughter's Wedding cake. I can not say enough Great things about the cake. The quality was Perfect. The cake was so fresh. The colors were Perfect. What can I say it was PERFECT.

The Cakery was fantastic. I was amazed at the value for all of the flavors/filling options that you get (we had 3 flavors in our cake) and at how good their decorating is. Our decorator was awesome and able to do everything we asked. They were very flexible when we changed a few things on our order a month out and everything was exactly how we asked and it was delivered on time. They didn't hesitate to call me when there were some questions about my order (i.e. I forgot to specify a filling flavor for the top of our cake) which I appreciated.

If you know about the Cakery in Dayton Ohio nothing needs to be said. If you don't know about them, well, look em up! Best cakes and very, very reasonable prices. We had cakes and cupcakes for 250 guests for under $800.

The cake was FABULOUS...it was beautiful, exactly what I ordered, and it was absolutely delicious. I'd recommend The Cakery to anyone in the Dayton, OH area; hard to beat this vendor!!

The consultants at The Cakery were professional and informative. The cake samples were wonderful, moist, and absolutely delicious! Our wedding cake was beautiful and tasted marvelous. We had many guests come and tell us that it was the best wedding cake they had ever had.

Although our wedding was in Columbus, my groom and I went with a small baker in Dayton for our wedding cake~They did an absolutely WONDERFUL job and we couldn't have been happier. The cake was delivered to us and was set up by their team and was more beautiful than I could have imagined. Thank You Cakery!

It was very important to us to have a good cake, and at the Cakery we got it! The design we had wanted was exactly what we got, and people are still talking about the quality of the cake. The chocolate with buttercream icing was so divine-I can't wait until our anniversary to eat it again!

The best cake I have ever had in my life! The owner of the shop Julie worked directly with us to make sure we had everything the way we wanted it. The cake was beautiful! We didn't want to spend a lot on our cake so we asked about doing half of our fake and she gave us the best price ever! I will be getting all my cake, cookies, and anything else for The Cakery! The are a real class act!

The Cakery did an amazing job on my cake! It was absolutely beautiful, and delicious! They were extremely flexible. I ended up pushing my wedding up and had only 6 weeks to plan it and The Cakery was very accommodating.

We have gotten all of our special occasions cakes from The Cakery because they make the best cake! So it was an easy choice when we decided who would make our wedding cake for us. It turned out gorgeous, but slid apart the night before the wedding (same day we picked it up). The next day they replaced it perfectly, in plenty of time, and without any complaints and it was delicious! Had we had fondant on it, I'm sure it wouldn't have come apart as it did, but as someone who also makes professional cakes, I have to say that sometimes, cake just has a mind of it's own... They were super professional about it and got us a brand new cake just as we had ordered it, for no extra charge.

We are using them for our wedding cake. They were a great help to us in designing our wedding cake. The consultant was patient, informative and creative. Enjoyed our cake tasting with them. They also have wonderful tasting Gluten Free cakes as well. Would highly recommend.

I initially had an appointment with a woman who ceased to work there the next day. So, I ended up coming in in person and checking on the order to find out that we would just redo the contract (and I was able to do things that I was previously told weren't possible). The man I worked with was patient, nice, and professional and made sure that I got exactly what I wanted. The cake itself was beautiful and tasted wonderful. They were even able to set aside a brownie with a fondant figure on top for the groom (he dislikes cake).

Affordable and delicious

We are very happy we went with The Cakery for our wedding. We got a small cake to cut, and cupcakes for all the guests. They have many different flavors to choose from. I had brought in a picture of how I wanted it to look, and they made it into reality. The cake was beautiful. They also have gluten free options, which we needed.

Delicious Cake

We hired The Cakery for our wedding and they did a fantastic job! Our cake was breathtaking and delicious! We ordered a four-tiered cake. Many people warned that a cake like this would not be eaten, but people went back for seconds and thirds and there was none left. We met with a consultant early on in the process to create our vision and they certainly brought that vision to life on our day. Our contact with them prior to the day was mostly perfect, they were a few times that I called and the person on the other end of the line was unable to help us. But they do other events also, so I understand the confusion at times. Eventually I was able to get things worked out. I recommend for excellent flavor and aesthetics, the price is also fair. Loved it!

The Cakery in Troy made it very easy to get a simple but yet beautiful wedding cake ordered for our wedding back in October. We did a 3 tier white cake with butter cream frosting that had nice little swirls to decorate the cake. We also provided burgundy colored ribbon to put on the cake and fake fall leaves to make it the perfect cake for our fall wedding. Along with the cake, we had red velvet and white cupcakes for our guests to enjoy and they all loved them! The staff was very helpful and sweet throughout the whole process.

I got my wedding cake from the Cakery's Troy location and I am still receiving compliments on both the look of the Styrofoam display cake and the taste of the served cake. We went with an Ohio State themed four tier styrofoam cake for our display and we had so many people approaching us telling us we would have too much left over cake since we didn't cut up that cake to serve. Everyone thought it was a real cake! My family is now loyal Cakery customers and are planning on getting birthday cakes here in the future! Thank you for making our amazing day taste so great!!!!!!

The Cakery definitely worked with me through all of the changes I made to my wedding cake. They had a very nice and friendly staff. The only thing I didn't like was the cascading cake stands. They were a little hard to put together and a little too wobbly for comfort. However the cakes were all very delicious! Thank you so much.

The cake was beautiful and fabulous. Something must have happened during delivery because a flower had fallen off and they just dolloped buttercream icing around it to hold it back into place. Other than that the cake was delicious and beautiful.

We ended up ordering our wedding cake from The Cakery last minute. They were able to work is in pretty quickly and so willing to help. The cake looked beautiful and was delicious. I would recommend them to any still looking for your wedding cake!

Overall I was very pleased with the cake. It tasted delicious and was simple but beautifully decorated. The only thing I wasn't a fan of was how changes made to our order were scribbled on the original order paper which made it very messy and could have led to confusion.

WOW! I wanted a delicious but affordable cake and The Cakery provided me with all of this and more. They were able to accommodate all of my last minute changes and provide me with delicious cupcakes and a topper cake for my day. The flavors were amazing and I didn't even get to try a cupcake on my wedding day as my guests ate them all. They even stayed open late, as I forgot to pick up my cake the day before the ceremony! I just wish they were opened on Sundays.

Going to the Cakery to pick out our wedding cake was a fabulous experience. Julie, the owner, walked us through step by step to pick out the perfect cake design and flavors. Since then I have ordered all of our families event cakes and will go no where else. It is a little pricy compared to other bakeries, but your experience is worth it.

We ordered cupcakes and a small cake. Everything was delicious, and the pricing was very competitive. The only negative is I didn't get exactly what I thought I was. We had ordered sprinkles in different colors on the different cupcakes so our guests knew what flavor they were picking up, but the cupcakes came without sprinkles. I came into the store to make my final payment and went over the details with the check-out person, (including providing pictures of what we wanted) but never got a chance to see the designer. I still think their cake/cupcakes are the best in town and will likely order cakes from them in the future, but if it's something you specifically want, go over the design with the person in charge of decorating your cake if at all possible.

The cake and cupcakes were awesome. The design for my cake was almost what I wanted, I had wanted fresh flowers, but they put icing flowers on the tiers. That is the only negative.

The cake tasted INCREDIBLE especially considering the price! It was also beautiful. However, after they set up the cake at my venue it fell over! My aunt was able to fix it and prop it up but it was leaning the whole night. Overall, I would recommend them. They were hands down the best cakes for the price. I just think they should pay more attention to detail.

Their staff is not friendly at all and they seemed like it was an inconvenience that my mother and I wanted a follow up appointment three weeks out from the event just to finalize the contract and make the final payment. They also destroyed my custom made cake topper. The cake tasted amazing and the guests loved it so that is all that matters.

They were very attentive and helpful when we went to design our cake. I absolutely LOVE the way their cake tastes, BEST CAKE EVER! I went with them without trying or interviewing other cake places, so I'm not sure of the value price, probably better than Taste of Elegance.
Anyway they were a late to my wedding and no one could get a hold of them. So that's my only peeve on that one.

The Cakery definitely has the best tasting cake in Dayton. We always get our cakes from The Cakery and enjoy them so we knew we wanted to go with them for our wedding. However we were somewhat disappointed with the service we received from them during our consultations. Our order was a little bit complicated since it involved a variety of cupcakes, however they were somewhat rude and seemed very confused the whole time. Then when they came to the venue on the day of the wedding they only showed up with half of the cupcakes and they had forgotten the other half at the shop! There was plenty of time and they went back to get them, but it just sort of added to the confusion they had had throughout the entire process. However they definitely delivered on quality as always. The cupcakes were beautiful and tasted delicious and everyone LOVED them!!! We haven't had this sort of experience with The Cakery before, so we were disappointed with the service, but still loved the end result.

We had a horrible experience with The Cakery. I will NEVER recommend them to anyone. We booked with them almost a year in advance and planned the design of our cake. I was physically in their shop 6 weeks before our wedding to confirm the colors and sent them the photos of flowers at that time so they would match. They had PLENTY of time to confirm the cake. I received a call from them DURING OUR REHEARSAL DINNER in an attempt to confirm the colors of our cake--which we had confirmed over a month prior. They STILL got the colors WRONG! The cake did not even look like it belonged in our wedding. Our main colors were turquoise and fuchsia. The cake arrived at our venue white, turquoise, and yellow.

They handled themselves very unprofessionally altogether. They should have had their paperwork straight well in advance before the wedding--as I did my part in ensuring they would. Instead, they took poor notes, which left them guessing--and led them to call me the night before our wedding while with friends and family at our rehearsal dinner. That is ABSOLUTELY NOT OK. Further, upon contacting them after the wedding to settle their unprofessionalism and mistake, the man working as a co-manager was extremely unapologetic. He later agreed to refund part of the cake cost, but his memo for the check was "I am sorry our product was not up to your standards." That was not at all a sincere apology for their disorganization and unprofessional handling of their disorganization. It is not inappropriate or outlandish to expect a cake bakery to deliver a correct product with the correct colors AND to not wait until the very last moment--the NIGHT before the wedding--to ensure they know what they are doing...when they had almost a year and over a month to confirm they knew what they were doing. That ugly, out of place cake, is forever in our wedding photos. That's not ok. He later apologized sincerely after my Facebook page review.
