Delicious cake

We used The Cakery for our wedding cake and our wedding favor cupcakes. We had a small wedding so we didn’t do anything extravagant but everything was awesome. The cake was delicious. We did three different flavors. The cupcakes looked so cute with their monograms and The Cakery even incorporated, our little dog statues into our cake for us. Their team was easy to work with. Communication was clear and concise. We would definitely recommend.

Fantastic Vendor

The Cakery Bakery is delicious! We hired them for our wedding and they knocked it out of the park! The cake was beautiful and delicious. We also had a cupcake bar and everyone loved it! The pumpkin cupcakes were a hit. We worked with Megan and she did a great job with the planning process. She was very responsive and made sure we had everything we needed. I highly recommend choosing Cakery Bakery to be apart of your wedding day!

Best Cupcakes Ever

After the cake tasting there was no doubt I’m who we wanted to make out cupcakes for the wedding. So many delicious flavors to choose from, and such a reasonable price.

Our cake was a hit - I think about it so often!

We hired The Cakery for our wedding cake and we could't be more happy! It was delicious and beautiful and the customer service experience was amazing! We had to postponed our wedding twice and they were so accommodating every time. Even pre-pandemic, the at home cake tasting option was amazing! Originally, I wanted a simple white cake, but then I changed to something more fun and I'm so happy that I did - it was amazing, totally our style, and I miss it so much! I never thought I'd care about the cake, but The Cakery made it one of my favorite parts of our wedding! Note to self - a sprinkle cake is harder to cut into than anticipated! Haha, but well worth it!

Amazing buttercream

We had a smooth, easy planning and pick-up process, even with pandemic-related changes. The Cakery staff are so kind and helpful. We initially tried out several STL area bakeries for our wedding cake because I am super picky about buttercream frosting, but The Cakery's frosting recipe is perfect. Highly recommend!

Amazing Cake!

Prior to selecting The Cakery, my fiance and I sampled a lot of cake from several vendors. It wasn’t even close, The Cakery without a doubt had the best cake! From reserving our date, to designing our cake, to delivery, working with The Cakery was such a smooth process. We also found their pricing to be very reasonable and competitive. We went with yellow cake with raspberry fruit filling and also opted to have chocolate chip cookies served with the cake. We received several compliments throughout the night from our guests who were raving about the desserts. 10/10 would recommend The Cakery to any bride & groom, and we definitely plan to work with them again in the future.

We LOVE the cakery! We came to them with an unusual request - a cookie cake wedding cake. Little did we know that they had done this before and were experts! They sat down and worked together with us to truly design the cake of our dreams, and it was easy to do with such a great team. Our cake turned out beautifully and looked exactly like a normal wedding cake on the outside, but was full of stacked cookie cakes on the inside. It was beautiful and more more delicious than we could have dreamed of. If you want a cake or a cookie cake, we can’t recommend the Cakery enough.

After having The Cup weekly in college, my now husband and I knew we had to have The Cakery do our wedding cake. There was no doubt in our minds our wedding cake was going to be delicious and we and our guests were not disappointed! Our cake was delicious and the guest enjoyed all of our flavors immensely! We had one kitchen cake left over and took it to our farewell picnic and it was gone in an hour! Not only was it delicious but the design was gorgeous. We told them our budget and they worked with us wonderfully to create a cake that looked and tasted beautiful. Thank you, Cakery for letting us have a little taste of the beginning of our relationship at our wedding!

We highly recommend The Cakery. The cake was not only beautiful but also soooo delicious. The bride and groom chose the chocolate chip cake, and our guests just raved about it. Our only regret was that we could not have second helpings!

I was so excited to be able to use a much loved local Dogtown bakery for my wedding! They were extremely competitively priced, knowledgable, and extremely friendly. They helped me develop a vision for the cake that I would love and that would be incredibly delicious! Will be purchasing them for other events in the future and would absolutely recommend for weddings!

I hired the Cakery for a 50th wedding anniversary as well as my wedding. Both cakes knocked it out of the park! I will never need to go to another bakery again! We have ordered vanilla, chocolate and red velvet cake layers with the vanilla buttercream. Since my husband only got a bite of our wedding cake, I will be going back soon to get another small one for us to enjoy at home together!! Yum. Excellent customer service as well, a fantastic bakery.

Great business to work with. Not only did the cake look amazing, but tasted sooo good as well. The best part is you get to choose 3 different flavor cakes and 3 different filings, so everyone was happy:)

I cannot say enough good things about The Cakery. My husband and I had had their cake before and knew that we absolutely wanted them to make our wedding cake and they did not disappoint! We had so many compliments on how delicious our cake was and The Cakery made the process so easy. Our in person consultation was helpful and informative and we left feeling confident in our decision. If I had to do it all over again, I'd absolutely book the Cakery. The staff was so friendly and more than willing to help whether it was in person or via phone or e-mail. We brought in a photo of what we wanted our wedding cake to look like and they absolutely nailed it. We dropped off our cake stand, topper, and decor from the florist the week of our wedding and they delivered and set everything up without a hitch. The cake and buttercream are unbelievable - it is actually hard to pick a flavor. We are still getting compliments from our guests on our wedding cake months later. You absolutely will not regret booking the Cakery!

This business was actually probably the largest we worked with on our wedding day, so I can't remember the name of the girl who helped us anymore, but everyone was super nice and flexible when we weren't sure about the number of guests or when there was confusion over some of the decorations (which was on our part). This is what they do, day in and day out, so you know they'll get you what you want. We had three flavors, and all I can say is - the banana was the best! Wish our entire cake had been banana.

We loved The Cakery! Their cakes are delicious and so beautiful. Whether you are doing something elaborate with hand created flowers or a simpler design with just like a frosting stripes and fresh flowers on the cake (this is what we did and it was beautiful) their designs are exquisite!!

I am a huge fan of cake and could not wait to start doing tastings. My husband and I loved the idea of having lots of different flavors, so cupcakes sounded perfect! I consider myself a cupcake aficionado and explored the many cupcake options around STL. The Cakery was the 3rd place we tried and we loved it from the moment we walked in the door! They give you a take home tasting box, so you don't have to sit there eating while a person awkwardly watches you. You choose a selection of flavors to try, ALL ARE FANTASTIC! We chose to have a small chocolate chip flavored cake for the wedding party and cupcakes for the guests (chocolate, vanilla, chocolate chip, red velvet). The staff at The Cakery were so helpful in designing our cake and cupcakes! We changed our mind on icing color and cake design a few times, but the staff had no problem updating our order. When we saw our cake the day of the wedding, it was so perfect! They had added the topper I had (my great grandparents' topper) and the little bunting banner I had DIY'd. The cake was SO delicious and the cupcakes were a HUGE hit! People are still raving about how fantastic they were! We had about 130 guests and the staff suggested we order 13 dozen. We didn't run out and had about 1 dozen left to take home with us :) Even a few days later they were still moist and tasty! I've gone back to The Cup (the sister store) quite a few times now to get cupcakes for birthdays and such. I 100% recommend for any event, even if you just want to get a few cupcakes to treat yourself!

I am beyond impressed by The Cakery and their talented team. My partner and I wanted a 3-tiered book wedding cake, and The Cakery more than exceeded our expectations. They were always prompt and professional when we emailed with questions, and our in-person cake consultation was fantastic. They took our ideas and made them into reality. When we finally saw our cake on the wedding day, we were blown away. The cake was exactly what we asked for and more. Not only did it look flawless (I'm still stunned at their buttercream artistry), but it tasted amazing, too. Thank you, Cakery team!!!

This vendor went beyond our expectations. The tastings were phenomenal and they were really easy to work with. They took care of everything with our venue coordinator and we didn't have to worry about it at all. It was wonderful. Several people asked about where we got our cake made. The strawberry was exceptional!

We chose The Cakery for their wonderful and famous three tiered wedding cupcakes with the top tier and a small cake for us on the top tier. I shared with their team my chosen colors for the wedding and the polka dot theme. From there they created not only the cutest cupcakes which were a perfect compliment to our wedding, but the tastiest as well. We chose a few of their unique cake and frosting flavors in our gourmet cupcakes and our guests absolutely loved them. YUM! We tasted 4 bakeries around us and The Cakery Bakery stole the show! They were also very affordable. The cake was moist and the fruit fillings added the perfect touch. We were able to decorate the cake exactly how we envisioned and it turned out beautifully! The whole process was very easy... pick up a to-go tasting box with a price list, set up a meeting to finalize flavors and decoration... wedding day!

First of all, the cake tasting is phenomenal. I loved being able to take it home with us and share with my parents. The cake we chose was awesome and I'm so excited to eat the leftovers. I also loved that they sketched out my design and it looked exactly like they sketched it! Overall, simply amazing.

The cake is amazing!!! Very easy to work with and get a hold of. Everyone raved about the cake and cupcakes. We had very little leftovers. We plan to get big events cakes from here from now on.

My wife found this vendor and told me I would be impressed. The design was so beautiful. The details we requested were exact. My wife knows that I am not much of a cake fan and you would not find me eating more than a few bites of cake. However, after our wedding, I could not stop eating the leftover cake it was so good! I had to cut myself off and freeze it so my wife could have some. Their spice "pumpkin" flavor cake was such a hit at our wedding, people were asking for second and third helpings. If you are looking for excellent quality cake with great flavor and a professional look for your affair, go with The Cakery!

Megan was a pleasure to work with. The cake was absolutely what we wanted and it tasted awesome, even a week later, we were still eating left overs.

I've had their cake and cupcakes from past weddings and knew that we wanted to go with cupcakes for our wedding "cake". We had a small round cake for our "cutting the cake" tradition and to also save for our one year anniversary. While I can't attest to the taste of the cake a year later. (it did come with directions on the best way to preserve the cake, so fingers crossed). I can attest to the deliciousness of the cupcakes! They cupcakes were soft, moist, and super flavorful. I enjoyed having the cupcakes as they were easy to decorate, hand out for people to grab, and also for those that wanted to take them home! I highly recommend them for your wedding day. (or any special celebration...)

Our cake was DELICIOUS!!!!! All of our guests loved both the Red Velvet option and the Vanilla Cake with Cinnamon option. The look of the cake came out exactly how I envisioned. I couldn't have been happier. I'd recommend them to anyone looking for a beautiful and yummy cake!

We got married on 10.24.15 and needed a small, two-tier cake for our big day. My mom and aunt wanted to make cupcakes for our wedding guests, but my now-husband and I wanted a cake just for us. We had heard good things about The Cakery so we went to check it out.

Everyone we worked with was professional, fun and very excited about creating our dream cake! We chose their French Vanilla with Raspberry Buttercream filling for our bottom tier and their Red Velvet with Cream Cheese filling for our top tier. We created a design for each tier based on what we liked with suggestions from the "cake stylist" (no clue if that's an actual term but I think it should be!). We also brought our cake topper and the "cake stylist" was great about making sure it was going to match the style of our cake. The Cakery was also great about only showing us things that were within our budget.

Last but not least - our cake was DELICIOUS. It looked gorgeous sitting on our cake table with all of our other decorations and was delivered on time. The Cakery was wonderful to work with and if I ever need a cake in the future, I know who to call!

After working with The Cakery Bakery and both seeing and tasting firsthand what they're capable of, I would without a doubt recommend them to other brides and groooms. From the to-go box cake tasting option to the delivery of the cake on the day itself, they were extremely easy to work with. During our planning meeting with them, they guided us through the process and immediately picked up on what we wanted. We got tons of compliments on the cake, both based on how it looked and how it tasted - many of our guests even went back to try each flavor. Mmmm...so good! We decided to go with the Cakery after we sampled a few different bakeries around St. Louis and I am so happy we did!! The cake was SO good and beautifully designed. My mouth waters just thinking about their cake! We had cupcakes for all the guests at the wedding and an additional cake topper that we saved for the next morning to open gifts. Best cake ever! many options to choose from, but even their simple white cake/white icing is truly amazing!

Working with The Cakery to design our wedding cake was awesome! I was an out of town bride and they were very accomidating in scheduling our tasting. In addition, my husband and I had trouble picking the design and they did an awesome job helping us to come up with something special that we loved. Furthermore, we had several guests who were Gluten Free attending and The Cakery offers individually wrapped Gluten Free cupcakes (that are delcious for the record) for order along with your cake. The cake arrived day-of and was perfect both in look and taste. I can't recommend more highly!

The Cakery Bakery was AMAZING! I had my cupcakes made to look like flowers with a unique recipe for each one and they did an absolutely incredible job! Best. Wedding. Cake. Ever. Hands down this is the best cake I’ve ever eaten. The staff was so easy to work with, even from over a thousand miles away! I let them know what style and flavors I wanted my cake in with some pictures for reference and it turned out spectacularly! The taste is beyond compare. It is incredibly silky and luscious. This bakery is AMAZING!! They made the most ... did i say AMAZING cake ever for our daughters baby shower! A woodland themed one to boot. Two cakes that were so moist and delicious that everyone ask for the bakeries name and directions on how to get there! The smaller cake will be saved for the baby's first birthday! For a bride on a budget, our wedding cake was an area that I was certain I would have to cutback on in order to meet our budget. I was expecting to get a plain cake with plain icing and was completely blown away with what The Cakery was able to offer as part of their standard pricing. We were able to get a 4-tier presentation cake and two "kitchen cakes" (like sheet cakes, except they are baked to look like a presentation cake when cut) with two different flavored cakes, two icing flavors, and colored icing decorations on each tier of my presentation cake--all within their standard pricing! I was extremely pleased with the decoration coordinator we worked with--she was able to give us suggestions and tips on what would make our cake the best it could be within our budget. I cannot believe how excited I got over a cake, but The Cakery far exceeded my expectations.

Our cake was amazing. We picked a very simple design it was executed well. I had a cake topper that I wanted to shine and it did. Everyone raved about the cake. Coming from a cake sob my biggest fear was my cake would be blah. Far from it. It was moist, delicious and every piece of cake had icing. I've had cake in the past that had to have been iced by someone who had no clue what they were doing. Not the Cakery. They got it right! On a side note a bride's maid had cupcakes from The Cup at her wedding about a year before mine (Its a sister store) I had three cupcakes at her wedding...This co has consistency!

The Cakery Bakery is a cute little bakery that believes in their butter cream! They are willing to please and made the process of figuring out the statistics for cake vs people stress-free! I appreciate that the first cake tasting is free and you try your chosen butter cream flavors with each cake flavor you picked for what I feel is the most effective way to try out cake with butter cream. Once you've chosen, they will take your wishes to heart and keep your cake decor and topper safe until the day-of. The cake was beautiful and so delicious. I got rave reviews from my wedding guests. I will most likely be using them for another event in the future! :)

Besides having the best cake we sampled (and my husband is a cake snob!), Cakery was wonderfully responsive and enthusiastic about our requests. They designed a stunning hop vine made of buttercream to crawl up our wedding cake and wonderfully presented our admittedly heavy bobblehead cake topper.

Did I mention the cake flavors??? So delicious we ate our top tier on the honeymoon because it was too good to risk freezing...instead we'll just "have' to order a replacement for our one year anniversary. Kudos to the team for suggesting the out there but delicious mixture of banana cake and cinnamon buttercream frosting: just like bananas foster, but better!

Not only is the Cakery beyond tasty! Their cakes and cupcakes are beautifully decorated and personalized to be exactly how you want them to be. The owner was flexible about when we met, and took her time finding out what we wanted. Our order came out absolutely perfect and was ready to go when we arrived to pick it up. The price is reasonable, especially for the quality. And what really prompted me to write this review was that they did all of this for us on three weeks notice. I mean, really??? That's AMAZING! No complaints for this bride. From the tasting to the big day, everything went smoothly. The cake was delicious- just remember to make time to actually eat a full slice at the wedding (or at least have your caterer box some up for you to take back to your hotel/home). The evening will go by so fast you'll forget to eat a full slice of it. In my case, my husband and I got so carried away talking and celebrating with everyone we don't even remember seeing it after we cut it. Believe me this happens quite often!

When we cut the cake and sampled it, it tasted excellent. Also, we got rave reviews from our guests. Thank you Cakery Bakery!!

I absolutely loved my wedding cake from The Cakery. The Cakery was the most professional vendor I worked with for my wedding. I kept making little changes to the colors/ size, icing choice, added a groom's cake, etc. and e-mailed them multiple times. When I went to the bakery the week before the wedding, they pulled up my file quickly and had all of the little details and pricing exactly correct. They are all incredibly friendly, and the cakes were absolutely DELICIOUS. They have a to go cake box for tasting which is great on a busy schedule and the design fees are extremely reasonable. We had a red velvet cake (my husband did some extensive research and this may be the only place in St. Louis to get one) with cream cheese frosting and a yellow groom's cake with vanilla frosting. Our venue packaged up our top tier for us and it was devoured by my husband the next week.

Our cake from The Cakery was AMAZING! We had an idea of what we wanted, looked at some of their examples, took a design similar to what we wanted, and had them make it our own. They worked with our florist to get our flowers onto the cake, and we gave them our own cake topper, which they took and put onto the cake for us. They delivered our cake to our venue well on time and most importantly, the cake tasted wonderful. We had wedding guests wanting to take some of it home!

We ordered our wedding cake from The Cakery, which was a great decision. We did our initial tasting and loved the red velvet cake they made. The wedding cake was just as good as what we received in our tasting.

The Cakery was very accommodating to our design. I was trying to mirror a picture I saw in St. Louis Bride in which the cake was displayed on the second tier of a glass display. The Cakery rented the top plexiglass stand to ensure the cake was going to be displayed as requested and it turned out perfect.

The Cakery was a great place to order our wedding cake from, and would highly recommend.

We chose The Cakery to make our wedding cake along with an assortment of other desserts and we loved them all! We had brought various leveled cake stands and trays ahead of time to our reception space and the staff at The Cakery arranged them perfectly with all of our yummy treats! Tip: If you’re doing an assortment of desserts like we did, I recommend ordering more servings than the guest count because many went back for seconds and we had some guests who didn’t get any. Simply the best cake out there! Of course, it looked wonderful. Exactly as we planned. The staff is easy to work with and very helpful. The to go tasting is the best way to choose a cake flavor. We had a cupcake cake at our wedding and it turned out AMAZING! We had just found out a few weeks before getting married that we would be re-stationing to Hawaii so we changed the cake design to incorporate flowers on top of cupcakes for the shaping of the icing. The Cakery Bakery was absolutely amazing to work with! I went to them from a friend's recommendation after frustrating visits to other bakeries. They had more display cakes and photos than the other places I went to which was helpful. There were more expensive than other bakeries that I considered but it was completely worth it. The quality is so much better! Their cakes are so much more professional and sophisticated looking than other places. All of our guest told us this was not only the best wedding cake but the best cake they'd ever had!! They confirmed all the details with us multiple times to make sure everything was perfect and even had detailed instructions on how to save the top tier.

The Cannery Bakery was absolutely fantastic to work with! I have celiac's disease and required a gluten-free cake. Instead of buying an entire gf cake, the Cakery was able to take my gf top tier and ice it with the other tiers that weren't gf and make it look like one cake! Their icing is gluten-free so while everyone else was tasting their different cakes, I got to taste all their icings! They were so accommodating to my needs and I would recommend them to everyone!

Best cupcakes in town! They were also wonderful with allowing me to bring in a gluten free cake top and they decorated it to match the cupcakes. Several other places I was pricing wouldn't either alllow me to bring in a gluten free top and they wouldn't bake one either. The Cup also used the gluten free layers that were extra and iced an extra cake top for the gluten free bride to enjoy on her one year anniversary. I have to admit that I way over did it on the cupcakes and ordered too many (my fault as i insisted on 1.5 cupcakes per person). They froze really well and I pulled them out at Thanksgiving and Christmas from October and they still taste great.

We ordered our cake very close to our wedding date, but that didn't seem to be a problem at all. The owner met with us after hours to go over what we wanted. They even went to the reception location (which was on a Sunday) to set up the cupcakes. The cupcakes were delicious! I would definitely recommend this vendor to other couples.

We actually did cupcakes from the CupCakery--the sister bakery to the Cakery, but we worked through both shops. The Cupcakes tasted excellent and they were very, very professional. I would certainly use them again for events other than weddings too.

We had a cupcake tower instead of a traditional cake. The Cakery was easy to work with, had great ideas on different options to achieve what we wanted, and most important amazing tasting cupcakes. We ordered extra and by the end of the night they were all gone. We had a giant cupcake on the top of the tower and cut that for our "cutting the cake" photos. Highly recommended

The Cakery is amazing. I still hear people talking about those cupcakes. I did nine different flavors and not a one was bad. Amanda was great to work with. She was fast with her responses to any questions, or concerns I had. The cupcakes were most and delicious. The flavors were ourstanding.

The buttercream frosting is enough to convince you to have The Cakery Bakery create your wedding cake. We had the most outstanding tasting Red Velvet cake with their signature buttercream frosting. Another plus was their cost - much more affordable then many other bakeries I contacted but as good as if not better tasting than the more expensive bakeries. I would highly recommend the sweet staff at The Cakery Bakery!

I would highly recommend The Cakery. We had some ideas about about our wedding cake (no fondant and a scrabble theme), and they worked with us to give us a truly unique wedding cake and accompanying cupcakes. It all arrived on time and as described, plus everything tasted amazing! Our guests were raving...and enjoyed taking home the cupcakes for a midnight snack.

So, cake, has to be one of the hardest things in the world to choose!!! My husband and I went to like 5 cake places, before stumbling upon this one. Some cake places, their cake tasted great, but their designs were awful. Some cake places, their designs were great, but their cakes tasted like Crisco!!! The Cakery though, their designs were amazing, and the cake just melted in my mouth!!! The person whom designed our cake, I can't think of her name, was absolutely wonderful!!! She talked to me for only about 10 minutes and drew up a cake design, and I was in love!!! It was perfect, and when I arrived at my reception, and I saw the cake, I was blown away. It was incredible, and everyone loved the cake!! It tasted so great, and looked so beautiful!!! The Cakery is the best!!!

We had put off our cake until the last minute and The Cakery was still happy to work with us. We went with two small layers (a 6" and 9") and ordered cupcakes to supplement that order, and it turned out beautiful. Everyone raved about the cupcakes. They were so popular that my husband and I didn't even get to taste one!

From the first call I made to The Cakery, my experience was wonderful. The staff was kind, friendly, informative and professional. One of the owners did our tasting and it was fun and completely low-pressure. We talked with the staff about incorporating some elements from cakes that we saw in their book with some of our own ideas. They dyed the icing to match the bridesmaid dresses and happily used a cake topper that we found online. The cake itself was absolutely delicious, with french vanilla cake, raspberry filling, and buttercream icing. We have gotten so many compliments on it!

So, I actually used them for cupcakes...hence I was referred to their sister store the CupCakery. They are super friendly and have the best cupcakes in town. Book them early though b/c they fill up fast.

I wanted something a little different than a traditional wedding cake, and these cupcakes were perfect! I opted for a variety of flavors and had our monogram on top, and the display was in the foyer of the home so everyone saw them walking into the ceremony. I had the most wonderful feedback from all of our guests raving about the delicious cupcakes!

This bakery is an up and coming and very popular bakery that recently opened in Saint Louis. The buttercream is their specialty, and I was the first chocolate buttercream cake they did!
The owners are wonderful, accomodating, and the cake is worth every penny. Book them now before they book your date!
