Fall Wedding Cake

We used Tamara’s for our wedding on 10/30/2021. Our cake advisor from Tamara’s was so patient with us as the flavor we tried dozens of flavors that fit our love story. We ended up having 3 different flavors and only 3 slices of cake left. So I think it was a hit.

Perfect For Small Wedding

We decided to do a small wedding and just do a simple cake for cutting the cake as well. The price was fantastic, it was exactly what I was looking for and the flavor was on point!! The only small thing was I wasn’t thinking about was the gold cardboard on the bottom of the cake. It did not fit onto the cake stand I had purchased and The cake itself was to heavy to try and move so we made it work!! Over all I am very pleased with how everything turned out!!

Delicious!

We ordered a two tier cake and supplemented with sheet cakes for the rest of our guests. The Cake Guru was accommodating and delicious. I would absolutely hire this vendor in the future for other special occasions.

Tamar the cake guru is the best!

The cake guru has the most amazing cupcakes. Every one of the cupcakes is filled with a delicious inside flavor! The cupcakes were moist and beautiful!

The Cake Guru is amazing, hands down the best cupcakes and deserts I have ever had. I had ordered extra cupcakes and we only had 5 left over and were finally able to have ours the next night. People were hunting for more Triple Chocolate cupcakes as they seemed to be the favorite! We did 4 flavors (chocolate chip cookie dough, triple chocolate, carrot cake and strawberry champagne). Our wedding and venue were in Sturgeon Bay and they were so accommodating with the delivery and it was even affordable! If I had it to do over, I wouldn't do it any different. My family is all from across the state and they are still talking about the cupcakes, so much that I went and got 4 dozen to bring home to everyone for our Fourth of July celebrations. Definitely the best choice in cupcakes!

It has been three months since our wedding and people are still talking about our cupcakes. I think more people posted pictures of our cupcakes than they did of us (okay, slightly dramatic... But I'm sure it was close!) they were absolutely amazing to look at and even more amazing to indulge in. Not only are their cupcakes (and their cakes) very good, but we were highly satisfied with their organization, professionalism, and ease of communication.

Hand down the best place to get your cake from!!! We did cupcakes and cheese cakes. The cupcakes and cheesecake is to die for. We didn't have one left over. They were all gone before we knew it. Yummy and beautiful presentation of them.

Love love love our cake!! Gave Tamara a picture of a cake idea we liked and she was able to create a version that fit us and our theme perfectly!! The flavors are incredible too!! They were all great to work with and when I called and requested a Vegan cupcake for my sister/bridesmaid they were more than happy to oblige!

Working with Tamara was awesome! I've always been a fan of her cupcakes so it was a given who we would chose to do our wedding cake! We showed a picture of the what we wanted the cake to look like and she did an awesome job at replicating it! We also had 8 different flavored cupcakes and everyone, including us, loved them! Very talented and great to work with!

Tamara's Cakes was so easy to work with! My now husband and I had a tasting and could not believe all the flavors were were able to sample. I had individual pictures of what I wanted each layer to look like and Tamara was able to take each one and create a five-layer masterpiece! Our cake was the centerpiece of the wedding and more beautiful and delicious than we could have ever imagined. Very satisfied with everything and highly recommended!

I love Tamara the Cake Guru! I ordered 125 cupcakes for my wedding, in 5 different flavors. They were so delicious and all of my guests raved over them. The staff was very helpful during the ordering process, it was a delightful experience working with them.

We showed Tamara pictures of what we wanted, she sketched up a drawing of what we wanted. They have soo many different flavors and fillings to choose from, the cake was delicious!!!

When Tamara calls herself a "cake artist" she truly means just that. She comes up with a concept for a cake with you. She charges by the number of slices since she doesn't exactly know what the cake will look like.

My husband and I attended one of her cake tasting/booking parties and we were blown away by the taste. We had a hard time deciding. We ended up going with a three-tiered cake. Each layer was a different flavor and filling. One layer we didn't even try because it was seasonal (pumpkin) but based on the others we had tried, we knew it would be delicious.

At her cake tastings, she lets you "draw" for something. Could be a percentage off the overall cost, certain amount off or free delivery. We ended up with free delivery which was amazing since our venue was almost an hour from her shop. The thing that sold me the most was she said she would make us a small cake of the flavor of our cake for our first anniversary so we wouldn't have to freeze the topper. I was sold!

The cake arrived and was more beautiful that we could imaged. She worked with the venue to make sure the cake could be delivered on time. I would recommend her to anyone!

Tamara did such an amazing job on our cake! Not only did it look fantabulous, but it tasted even better! We were able to work with her to design exactly what we had wanted, and the best part was that there wasn't all those additional fees like most bakeries have. She gives you one price per slice for fondant and one price per slice for icing. She even made a Groom's Cake for me with only a couple days notice. She is wonderful!

Tamara made the best cake I have ever tasted...people are still talking about my wedding cake 7 months later! It was gorgeous and she also did a snowmobile grooms cake that WOWED my husband!!! Would HIGHLY recommend!!!! And will be using her for future cake needs!!!!!

We planned my sons wedding in 4 weeks!!! My sister in law was to make the cake but both her young children got H1N1 2 weeks before the wedding. A friend of mine said "I have a friend who makes wedding cakes and I'll take care of contacting her." We checked out her website and found what we liked. With only a couple weeks to squeeze this cake into her already busy schedule we didn't know exactly what to expect. We were so very grateful to Tamara for not only her helping us out but the BEAUTIFUL cake. Everyone raved about the cake;even the DJ invited everyone to take pictures before it was cut. Thank you for making this special day even more amazing!

We order a groom's cheesecake and wedding cake from The Cake Guru. They both were d-lish! We have had nothing be great comments from our guest about them both as well.
Tamara is very easy to work with and creative. The cost of both cake and cheesecake were very reasonable. As a matter of a fact, the both were so much less in cost than one wedding cake at another bakery.

Tamara was amazing from the very beginning. Her cakes are absolutely gorgeous and with all the flavor/filling choices you are sure to find something that everyone will find delicious. The value definintely out-weighed the cost. She was so helpful in designing the perfect cake for our wedding taking all of our ideas and needs into consideration as well as incorporating her own, and was extremely prompt returning any calls or emails. I will be going to her for any other events in the future where a cake is needed!

Tamara is amazing! Our cake was original, colorful, whimsical and EXACTLY what we wanted. A month later we are still getting comments from attendees that our cake was so beautiful and tasty!
I wanted red velvet cake and Tamara is the only place in town that even offers it. I also wanted carrot cake and was so pleased that Tamara does not charge an extra price for this "specialty" cake.... other places we looked into would have charged more.
When we met with Tamara we got to sample cakes, design what we wanted and even talk with her about suggestions for other vendors (our flowers for example). That piece certainly isn't a part of her job, but makes her a great business person and a delight to work with. I'd never go anywhere else for a wedding cake.
I will continue to use Tamara in the future when I need cakes for special occasions, she has a new very loyal customer in me and my family.
I can't believe she did our wedding PERFECTLY AND had a baby two days later. The woman is amazing!!!!!!!!!

I don't often rave about much, but our wedding cake was seriously amazing. Meeting and tasting cake with Tamara was fun, she had great ideas, really listened to us, brainstormed with us and drew up a cake design that I was pumped about.
When we arrived at the hotel I could not wait to see the cake, before we even got to it, people were stopping us saying how cool it was. When my wife saw it she actually screamed with excitement, and I was blown away with the surprise Grooms cake my wife ordered me, a replica of my boat, it was super detailed right down to the name, the paint job, everything.
And the best thikng is it all tasted awesome! Tamara truly is the Cake Guru! We love to watch her facebook page and see her latest designs, and make up excuses why we need more cake!

Tamara was great! The cakes were fantastic and literally talked about all night. We went all out on cake, we did centerpiece cakes as well as one big cake.
Look in her gallery on her website, ours is on there! She was patient and drew up a couple of sketches for us of the main cake, incorporating our style. We set the cake up in the entryway os everyone would see it, and honestly people could not believe it was real.
She is wonderful! They taste wonderful too, so many flavors, our favorite was Chocolate Chocolate Chip and the Raspberry swirl!

The cake was the most fun part of our reception. Guests were non-stop talking about it, comparing it to food network Masterpieces, etc. Tamara was so much fun to work with, she talked with us about elements of the weddings than sketched up an idea from our likes and dislikes. The colors were matched spot on and she even decorated the cake table

The taste was beyond amazing, we had Raspberry swirl, Kahlua Velvet, Chocolate Chocolate chip and Champagne, all filled and iced in Fondant!
I can not wait to order a fun cake from her again!

We came to Tamara uncertain of the vision of our perfect cake. She sat down with us, looked at the options, discussed a variety of possible flavors and then delivered a sketch with which we were content. When we arrived at our reception and saw the final product, I (the husband) wanted to cry at how beautiful and far beyond our expectations our cake appeared. Our guests spoke highly of the beauty and delightful taste... the red velvet layer went over well. Our family's were satisfied with the craftsmanship and professionalism of Tamara's work. Tamara's cakes are amazing. She was extreemly helpful and flexible. I had no idea what I wanted when I first met with her but she helped create a cake that people are still talking about. She even made cakes for my reserve tables and a birthday cake for my grandma. I couldn't believe how many options I had for flavors. She is very easy to work with and creative. If it wasn't for her and her ideas I would have never had the cake I had. I couldn't imagine going to anyone else.

I loved having Tamara the Cake Guru's cupcakes at my wedding. I received so many compliments! We ordered 84 large cupcakes that were Ferraro Rocher hazelnut, and then a mix of mini cupcakes including White Chocolate Raspberry, Bailey's Salted Caramel, and Peanut-Butter Cup. I think the guests preferred to try many small ones. The big ones were TOO BIG! Although I liked being able to cup up one big one for the photographs. The Ferraro Rocher cupcake was only available in a large, but we could have adjusted it to make them small.

One thing that frustrated me was the communication of Tamara's. I called asking about a tasting, and they said there was one coming up. I asked if I needed to be there the whole time, right at the beginning, or if it was drop in. The lady I talked to on the phone had to idea how they worked. I ended up taking off of work to go to the cupcake tasting...It took 5 minutes and I could have come at the end and finished my shift.

The cupcakes are amazing, but I kind of regret spending so much money on them. Yes, people did love them. But did they love them enough to make spending an extra $400-$500 worth it? We could have got cupcakes from Festival Foods or Costco. It's hard to say. It's hard to balance a wedding budget, we spent a large portion of our budget on these cupcakes when we didn't HAVE TO.

If you have some extra room in the budget, or if money isn't tight, get these cupcakes. If money is a concern, do not splurge on these.

The cake at Tamara's is delicious! It doesn't taste like the fake sugary cupcakes that you buy from the store and get at a lot of bakeries. The prices are so reasonable for what you are getting and the staff also did an amazing job decorating our wedding cake and cupcakes. The provided a wood stand that matched our theme and they did a wonderful job setting up the display after delivering from Oshkosh to Green Bay. We were so happy with how it turned out!

I am so glad we went with Tamara's cupcakes! We originally wanted small cakes on each table, but we soon realized that was not going to be a cost efficient option. Tamara offered us cupcakes for the same price per person as a slice of wedding cake at other places (1"x1.5"). We went to go try out the cupcakes, and we were stunned. You are able to try 3 cupcake flavors, but the cupcakes are so big my husband and I were only able to make it through 2. Then, we were given a list of about 300 different flavors to pick from. Tamara definitely has any flavor you can dream up. I never actually got to meet Tamara, but here assistant was so helpful every single time we went it. We got exactly what we wanted, and our guests could not stop talking about how much they loved the cupcakes. I agree with a few other posts that Tamara does not always return e-mails immediately, but if I ever needed something done right away, I would just call and it would be taken care of within the hour so I did not find that to be a problem. The only thing to be aware of is that you need to return the cleaned cake/cupcake stands within a few days, but the store is closed on Mondays, which it when I would consider to be the best time to return supplies. This may not be an issue if you live nearby, but my husband and I lived pretty far away, so that was really the only trouble we ran into. The cupcakes and cake were totally worth everything we spent on them, and my guests couldn't get enough! We didn't have almost any to take home, because our guests all took extra home with them.

After seeing the cake I wish I would have picked a different design but that was my own fault. The cake tasted amazing and we recieved a lot of compliments on it.

Our wedding cake was beautiful and delicious! We couldn’t have asked for anything more. I’ve gone back to the bakery a couple of times just to get more of their goodies.

We had the most beautiful wedding cake from Tamara's! The cake was so pretty I did not want to cut it. She did exactly as we discussed and it turned out better than I could have imagined. I don't have any complaints besides a couple of email mix ups but it was not a big deal at all. I woud highly recommend Tamara's!!!

We recently had Tamara for our cake vendor for our wedding and would definitely recommend her to others! She is so talented and friendly, and will sit down with you and make sure you have a unique cake that fits your theme. Tamara stresses that she does not make the same cake twice, so it is really cool to walk away knowing that your cake is really your own. Not only are her cakes beautiful, but they are delicious (I recommend the strawberry almond swirl and the apple spice cake). We got so many compliments on both the appearance of our cake, and the flavor. I also was just recently at another wedding that booked her and their cake was equally amazing. The only reason why I gave her 4.5 out of 5.0 for responsiveness is because it was kind of difficult to follow up with her the week of the wedding when I did all of my follow-up calls with my vendors. She did get back to eventually, and all in all, we were very pleased and would most definitely recommend her!

We had no issues with the cupcakes - everyone loved them and the variety of the flavors! Our cake (we did a small one because the main dessert was the cupcakes) was beautiful. The only issue we had with them was that they were hard to track down and get a response from. But, they're busy because they're so popular. Once they found out I had been trying to reach them for so long they were apologetic and handled it immediately.

We had mini cupcakes served at our wedding and everyone commented on how delicious they were! The cupcakes turned out just as delicious as all the samples that we tasted at the Wedding Show. We signed our contract at the Wedding Show, which gave us free delivery to Green Bay, making it even more worth it!

We had a 3-tier wedding cake and 1 dozen gluten-free wedding cupcakes. The cake was beautiful and exactly what we were hoping it would be. Our flavors were white, carrot cake, and blue velvet; they were all moist and tasty! It was displayed on a very elegant & ornate silver cake stand, which was an unexpected but wonderful surprise! They also honored our sign-on pricing from a wedding show around a year ago, which was much appreciated.

Tamara did a lot for our wedding - bridal shower cake, groom's cupcake for rehearsal dinner, and of course our wedding cake!! Everything turned out PERFECT!! Her cakes/cupcakes are not only gorgeous, they are also absolutely delicious! We had soooo many compliments. Tamara is super busy so a bit hard to reach but when you do she is more than helpful, open to ideas, and really a pleasure to work with! My only complimant is that the cake was put in a corner (not Tamara's decision!) that made it difficult for all to see the beauty/detail!!! I would HIGHLY recommend Cake Guru for really any occasion!

Tamara was a treat to work with start to finish. She welcomed Mother of the Bride and Mother of the Groom to the tasting and we had a fabulous time. She was able to draw a beautiful rendering of the cake we dreamed of during our meeting, and offered to decorate our cake table for us. The finished product was a work of art with delightful attention to details. And the taste was out of this world. Her pricing was in step with the quality of the product.

We first saw Tamaras Cakes at a wedding show, which I would recommend because they bring several different flavors to sample. The designs she has are very unique and they offer delivery and setup service. I recommend the chocolate kalhua cake, delicious!

We ordered cupcakes and a 3" personal cheesecake to cut (husband doesn't like norm cake). I was a little worried when I first met with them, as they seemed a little disorganized (I was asked to sign the contract without actually getting a chance to read it first), but the end result was amazing. Our photograpber actually had to fend off guests who had been staring at the cupcakes all night because she didn't want the cupcake stand empty when we cut our cake. :) We literally had a line because they looked as delicious as they actually were.

Tamara's Cake Guru does such amazing work! The cupcakes are fantastic and I just wish I could eat more of them. They are moist cakes and of huge proportions! We had the dirt cake cupcake and that was such a big hit! She is perhaps not the easiest to get a hold of but she is thorough when you do get a hold of her! This was a vendor I didn't have to worry about, tell her what you want and when you want it and it will be there and fantastically tasty!

Tamara was incredible! I had a low budget wedding and was stoked to find that I could have an award winning cake artist make my cake for the same cost as a piggly wiggly! We went for our tasting and were allowed to pick a different flavor for each layer with no extra charge. We live an hour away, and that was the last time I saw tamara, she was super flexible and easy to contact either via phone or email. I was extremely pleased with her follow through on the design of our cake. I was exactly how I wanted it! I would DEFINANTLY recommend Tamara

Tamara made me a really beautiful cake. She was the only one in this area that offered a WIDE variety of cake flavors and frosting flavors. I also brought in a picture of a cake I really loved, that I found in a magazine and she was able to duplicate it perfectly. She had reasonable prices and was very flexible.

Can I say YUMM?! We had Tamaras Mini Lux Cupcakes at our wedding reception along with a mini cutting cake and we loved them. Our guests raved about the cupcakes and our cutting cake was exactly what we asked for. They are really the best cupcakes in the fox valley! They tasted amazing and looked adorable. We found Tamara by chance. We are from the Madison area and were getting married in Madison and had looked at several places, but didn't find someone that did a lot with fondant. By luck my grandma saw Tamara on a local news channel up in Fond du Lac and told us to check her out. I am soooo glad we did. She offers tons of unqiue cake flavors and fillings and does tons of work with fondant. We booked her and couldn't have been happier! She delievered down to our venue at a fair cost, the cake was amazing, not just the look, but the taste. We have even made day trips up there since our wedding to buy her cupcakes.

We went with Tamara after she did my cousin's wedding. Her cakes are beautiful and she is a very creative cake designer. She is a very busy lady so both times we went to see her she had a cake tasting event. We were able to finalize everything with her through those. She is a very hard person to get in contact with and doesn't always respond to e-mails in a timely manner. The wedding cake was amazing and I was able to add cupcakes for our gift opening, the cake was gone in one night. Her cakes are a little pricey but you get what you pay for. There was a bit of a mix up with the time our cake had to be delivered. Not sure what exactly happened but they were a little late with delivery. Our wedding hall coordinator had to call them and remind them what time the cake had to be delivered. They immediately showed up right away after the mix up.

Tamara built us a tower of cake and made it breath-taking! It literally did when I got to preview our reception room! She worked with our budget and still gave us the cake of our dreams (five big layers with hand created cherry blossoms). Our guests loved the different flavors and hardly any cake was left over in the morning. Tamara has my highest recommendation!

Tamara was very helpful and did a great job getting me the cake I asked for. The detail on the cake was exceptional. When the numbers at my wedding changed, Tamara worked with me to change my design to make it fit for what I needed. She was even flexible as my schedule got mixed up from moving. The only concern I had was that when I got to the hall and saw the cake, the castle was not on the top layer as it was thought to be and as according to the sketch. We did not know if there was something wrong with why the castle was down or not and no note or anything was left there by it. The cake looked good even with that flaw. I would definately reccommend people go to Tamara for their wedding cake!!

Tamara makes beautiful wedding cake designs. She sat down with me and my, now, husband and designed the perfect cake for our wedding. We were married in May and many guests and vendors of ours told us that our cake is the most beautiful cake they had ever seen. We had 3 tiers with 5 flavors and there wasn't an additional cost for the extra flavors. The cake was delivered on time and in perfect condition. It takes Tamara a bit to respond via email, however her staff is very helpful as well.

We went with cupcakes for our guests and a small cake to cut. Our color was purple and by the time we arrive the cut our cake, the ribbon looked more black than purple. They also never left us a box for our cake so that presented a challenge at the end of the night. The cupcakes were delicious and we received many compliments on but they need to give a cake box and provide a better way to transport the cupcake stands (i.e. a laundry basket to place a bunch of glass stands with no cushion isn't ideal).

We used Tamara's for our wedding cupcakes and we couldn't have been happier! By far these are the best cupcakes I have ever eaten! Our guests LITERALLY RAVED about them all night! Our officiant was gluten intolerant and said it was the first wedding in 20 years that she could eat some cake/cupcakes at because we had a gluten free cupcake selection. Amazingly, the gluten free cupcakes (the Boston Creme Pie flavor) were one of the favorites of our guests and us girls when picking flavors! And I am not even gluten intolerant!

The girl who helped me both times was very kind and helpful, despite the fact that they were very busy both times I was there. She was very helpful in selecting flavors and cupcake papers, set up, etc. The prices aren't too bad either, I think $2.50 a cupcake, which is the same or less as some cake places ($3 per person), and honestly these are way more decadent and delicious than a piece of cake! Use Tamara's they are soooooooo good!

I was recommended to Tamara from a friend. Her prices are very reasonable. She was able to design the cake just how I had imagined it, and then when I wanted to make changes she was willing to make them. It was kinda difficult to get ahold of her, I would send an email with no response. The only thing that killed the quality of service, was that whne the cake arrived it was set up crooked. It looked like it was going to tip over. Other than that it was so beautiful!!

I was very happy with my experience. I would definitely recommend someone to the Cake Guru.
I did not have worries about how smoothly it would go.
My guests loved the cupcakes. I had already loved the cupcakes.
My only downfall was communication. It took multiple attempts of emails and calls to finally reach someone who could help me when I needed to check in with my order or make changes.
I would make the same decision if I did this over again and I will choose the Cake Guru in the future.

I was very happy with the way our cake turned out! The flavors and intricacy of the cake was astounding! It was a little difficult to get in touch with her, as the bakery is very busy, but they are very understanding. The pricing is a little high, but you get what you pay for, which is amazing cake! Tamara was super organized with endless possibilities. I've never seen someone put so much artistic value into their work and love as well. There were so many flavors and she would bend over backwards for even the fussiest bride. Lucky I was easy- she had me at CHEESECAKE! Delivery was quick- she made it before me! and setup was perfect! The cake was our splurge and I won't regret a thing ! Like i said she'll design anything! Very satisfied- guests are still talking. A friend referred me to her and my neighbor wants her just for a bday cake!

The end product of the cupcakes and cake was fabulous. Getting ahold of people to communicate orders, delivery times, stands/cutters provided, etc. is a different story. I know they are a popular place, but it would have been nice to have WAY better communication, especially with a stressed out bride. They almost need one person dedicated solely to that, as I am sure they have tons of people request them for wedding. Their cakes/cupcakes are SO YUMMY!

We did have some issues in meeting with the representative at the Appleton store, as he was not very detailed, did not give us a copy of our contract, and did not review some of the important components of the contract language with us. He also seemed to act as though he had never met us before when we came back into the store to return the plates, despite the fact that he took our order. However, anytime we emailed Tamara directly, the responses were extremely prompt and thorough. Overall, a good value and an excellent addition to our wedding reception.

The Cake Guru did cupcakes and a small cake for us for our wedding. The cupcakes were awesome and got rave reviews all night. The bride and groom cake was so good also, I only waited a couple of days to break into the rest of it! We had six different flavors but the list was so long it was hard to choose just six. You may think $2.50 is a lot for a cupcake, but the taste makes up for the cost. Tamara is hard to get a hold of and won't always answer emails in a timely fashion, but once you get your order in and the details ironed out, the staff will take care of the rest.

Very good cake. Very flexible. Didn't exactly make my cake how I wanted it but it was close. Wish they spent more time with consultation to help you design your dream cake and explain everything.

Our wedding cake was really good. We were able to speak to Tamara about our cake during a visit to Wisconsin since we don't live in the area and show her what we wanted. She and her team made it happen! What more can I say?

We loved how easy it was to work with Tamara. We came in with a pretty work intensive idea of what we wanted for our wedding cake. She jumped on the opportunity and assured us it would be no problem. She was very flexible when we decided to switch from late night cupcakes to late night dessert bars.

Our cake was gorgeous. My husband and I walked in and my jaw dropped. I couldn't believe how great it looked and even better was how amazing it tasted. We both got many complements throughout the night about the cake, both how it looked and how it tasted. The bars for the late night snack were also amazing.

The only problem was there was a miscommunication between Tamaras and the venue on when the cake was supposed to be delivered. It ended up being delivered after the start of cocktail hour, so many of my guests walked into the venue with an empty cake table.

We were disappointed. We went for a cake tasting and the cupcakes were amazing so we had some high hopes, especially after reading so many reviews. Our cake was dry and didn't look all that amazing either. For the price we paid we were not happy, we feel Walmart could have done just as good for 1/8 of the cost.
I also felt they were hard to get ahold of. Then a few days before the wedding I got an email saying they had no idea what we wanted for our cake when we had sent pictures and described what we wanted. If they were so confused they should have just passed on the cake instead of getting our hopes up. We wanted half traditional and half super hero.

Tamara did a BEAUTIFUL job on our cake. She really captured what we were looking for. Our guests kept complimenting on our cake and loved the flavors. It was really hard for me to cut into the cake for our cake cutting because the cake was so beautiful.

However, Tamara was very difficult to contact, and get a hold of. It was the only disadvantage that I had with her. Her professionalism was okay. I always felt somewhat rushed when I meet with her. She was not as flexible which was understandable because my wedding was during the wedding season which contributed to her busy schedule. It was not a big deal to me.

Other than that, she was really wonderful and really blew us away with the cake.

My husband and I first came to the shope for a "test day" in order to try out flavors for our wedding cake. It was somewhat limiting as they only had a certain amount of flavors, in the form of cupcakes, made to try. We ended up decided on flavor with Tamara and arranged our cake design with her. On the day of our wedding, the first look at our wedding cake was disappointing. We had a farm wedding and wanted to incorporate burlap and sunflowers onto our cake. However, the sunflowers were all peeling off and the fondant burlap was not very creative...it looked simply like a brown band. As professional cake decorators, I feel as though they could have done a better job with the burlap detail...I know I could have made it better myself. There was no reasont he decorative cake pieces should have been falling off as it was not a humid or hot day. All of our pictures of the cake reflect this poor state. Taste was good, but not exactly wedding cake quality...more or less something that could have been made at home. Admittedly, we made the mistake of taking off for our honeymoon and forgetting to tell our family to return the cake slab. Tamara was very rude about this and pointed out that it was in our contract...which is was. Again, this was my mistake. She had a deposit from us but insisted that we needed to return the slab. I told her it would be a 3 hour round trip(on a weekday) for us to bring it back. Rather than do that, I told her she could keep the deposit(which is what its for, right??) and that I would send her a check for the cost of the material. This was not satisfying and so, my husband and to drive up there, pick it up from the vendor and return it. I agree that this was our mistake to begin with but what's the point of having a desposit if you're going to be like that anyway?

Their cakes and cupcakes are delicious, but they are difficult to deal with. I had to continually follow-up to be sure my contract and payments were received, my flavors were correct, my design would be as I wanted it, and the delivery details. In the end the design cake design looked nice but had minor flaws, which is disappointing when you spend the time and money to have it exactly as you want.

I went w/ Tamara b/c she created my sister's wedding cake a few years prior and her cake was delicious. My experience w/ Tamara was disappointing.
First, she's v. hard to contact. I sent her an email to set up a tasting appt. and didn't receive a response for over a week. When it was responded to, it was signed "Tamara" and gave vague info that didn't address my questions. So I called her shop and found out it wasn't Tamara who had actually responded but one of her assistants. Why would they sign off as her?! She wasn't friendly on the phone.
On the day of our wedding, the cake arrived late to our venue which was an issue as the cake was to be displayed in a main entrance that guests would pass on their way into our ceremony. It was to be a focal point. The cake arrived a full half hour late from the 2 hour timeframe our coordinator gave Tamara, which as it was was cutting it pretty close to our ceremony and subsequent cocktail hour start time. Our coordinator even had to call (I believe more than once) to find out where they were. Guests were arriving and there was an empty stand and table. Not pretty and definitely not professional. Another note that left us dismayed: our cake topper fell off the top tier of our cake! My husband and I had already cut the cake and were standing near the cake table with some of our guests when we heard a thud! My husband thinks it was unbalanced on only 1 dowel and was just waiting to tumble. We quickly put it back on. (Fyi, no one bumped the table!)
Finally, what was most disappointing overall was that a few of our tiers just didn't taste fresh and were dry. The raspberry swirl tier was definitely dry and not fresh; you could tell from the grain texture. The banana layer tasted artificial. The design was also less than we expected but pretty. Overall, Tamara just seems to be unorganized and cares less about her cake business these days. Also: don't be fooled by all the flavors & designing. Any good cake baker should offer that.

We got our wedding cake and a groom's cake from Tamara's. I will start with the good....we loved the way our cakes looked and people said it tasted good too. She does a great job on the "art" part of it and once I saw both cakes I didn't regret booking with her anymore. However, the process leading up to the wedding was a headache. I was nervous that the cakes would not be right because there was an extreme lack of professionalism from the employees here, most of which I won't even mention here because I don't want to get anyone in trouble. Tamara met with us to go over the design for our wedding cake, but when it came to the groom's cake, she said that she "prefers to let her staff handle that." While that might have been fine, I did meet with 2 different girls on her staff about it and both of them answered most of my questions with "I'm not sure, I'll have to ask Tamara and get back to you." It felt like a giant waste of my time. I know she is super busy, but it would have been much easier to just meet with the person who can actually answer my questions. They also talked super fast as if they were in a huge hurry, it really felt like they were rushing me. This place is a better choice if you are just stopping in for a cupcake or cookie. For a wedding cake, I would advise couples to go somewhere that isn't so chaotic and that can devote the time to customer service for your cake(s) for the biggest day of your life. If this is something that isn't a concern to you, then go with Tamara's, because your cake will look great.

I have Celiac Disease so we went with Tamara's so we could have a gluten free wedding cake. Went into the shop and sat down with one of the workers. Discussed that we needed 100 servings, gluten free, handed Tamara our swatches for our floral colors and that our wedding was in Winneconne. By the time we left there we had everything picked out except for flavors and floral design. We had exact serving number (100), frosting type, cake style and it to be Gluten Free. Was told by Tamara herself that the floral design would be free/included in the price of the cake. I paid our $100 deposit and left with our contract in hand and quoted at a price of $275. Emailed to find out when would be a good time to bring in my final payment and to drop off my cake topper. I was told "any time we are open". Went to the shop and informed the lady behind the counter that I was there to make the final payment for our wedding cake. I handed her the $175, cake topper and my copy of the contract, Which she read in front me of. She gave me back my contract and the receipt. In the meantime 2 weeks go by I email to set up a delivery time for our cake to be delivered. I receive and email back saying that there is still a balance on the wedding cake. Tamara then called me herself. She had said that I never gave an exact number of servings, never said it was to be gluten free, due to the frosting we chose the floral decoration was no longer free/included and I wasn't charged for delivery. All of which were discussed at our first initial visit with her specifically. So I was charged another $75. At this point my $275 is not refundable. so here I am stuck paying another $75 dollars. I'm really frustrated at this point because I know 110% that this was all discussed and when I made my final payment this $75 was never mentioned. When cake was delivered there were finger prints deep into the cake and the flowers were wrong and falling off. I will never purchase another cake from there.

Tamara has very reasonable prices I believe for what I asked for I received a great price. But I would have perferred to pay more and receive better customer service. She was late for our initial appoint. She never contacted once the wedding got closer to check on the cake topper or anything else. It was very hard to get ahold of her. Once I was able to get ahold of her she was to busy to speak or meet with me and passed me over to her associate. Meeting with her associate made me nervous. My cake was on time to the location but wasn't what I had pictured. The cake was delicious but very disappointing in design. I hoped for so much more and was super excited to receive a amazing cake to only be disappointed. I wouldn't recommend her.

Would not recommend. I left the cake topper with them, and they didn't keep it with the cake. My Mother had to go back for a 2nd trip to pick it up. After we got the topper, it would not stay on the cake after they assured me it would.
