The Cake Girl was absolutely amazing and such a joy to work with for our wedding on April 18, 2026. From the start, they were creative, accommodating, and really brought our ideas to life in the best way.
One of the most special touches was the groom’s cake! It was everything my husband loves, from Tampa sports teams to DJ elements and even blackjack details. It completely surprised him and he absolutely loved it. Such a fun, personal, and memorable part of our day!
The mini cupcakes were also a huge hit with our guests!! People are still talking about how delicious they were. And most importantly to me, they truly went above and beyond to work with my dietary restriction. They created a gluten-free cake that was not only safe for me to enjoy, but genuinely delicious, which meant so much.
Everything looked beautiful and tasted even better. Highly recommend!!!!

I cannot believe how absolutely amazing and beautiful this cake was!
The planning process was extremely easy, just a few emails back and forth to give them ideas and they were good! They provided a taste box via mail since we aren’t super local, which was amazing! UPS hit a delay the first time around, and they did not hesitate to send us a new one to ensure the best quality.
The cake ended up being delicious (Vanilla with Blueberry filling) and absolutely breathtaking! -

Our dream wedding cake!
We couldn’t have been happier with our wedding cake! The flavors were absolutely phenomenal—from the tasting to the big day, every bite was delicious. They did an amazing job bringing our vision to life, perfectly recreating a reference image I had photoshopped and walking us through different design options so we could choose what worked best. The final cake looked exactly how we imagined it, and our guests could not stop talking about how good it was. Delivery and setup were seamless and stress-free. We highly recommend them to any couple looking for both incredible flavor and beautiful design. -

Everything about working with The Cake Girl from start to finish was absolutely amazing. First of all, the quality and taste of their cakes is incredible. The service is just as great too. We were able to sample different cakes and frostings to create what we wanted. We asked for recommendations as well and they were very helpful. Their process was clear, simple, and straight forward. Our custom cake looked and tasted out of this world! Many of our guests complemented how delicious the wedding cake was. It looked absolutely stunning and was exactly what we had in our minds. When we got engaged, I told my finace that having a good cake was a priority for me. Coming from a family of bakers in Puerto Rico and in Florida, I always dreamed of having the most incredible tasting cake on my wedding day. I also always wanted a Puerto Rican cake (almond extract version of a rum cake) and when I saw The Cake Girl offered that as an option I was hooked. During our cake tasting day, The Cake Girl far surpassed the others in terms of the consistency of the crumb, taste of the buttercream, and variety of flavors. We ended up with pink champagne and strawberry and Puerto Rican cake with guava. Day of the wedding coordination was a breeze and they dod a fantastic job placing our flowers and cake topper. As a side bonus- after we selected The Cake Girl we found out the owner is a fellow UCF alum which just made it even more perfect! Most importantly- everyone was raving about the cake. It was delicious, flavorful, and tasted incredible! It was truly a dream come true cake and I can't sing their praises enough! Highly recommend The Cake Girl! -

We used the Cake Girl for our wedding and they were AMAZING. They are organized, affordable, and provide high-quality cakes and service. From the start they were incredibly responsive and flexible to provide us with the perfect cake. Kirby was our main point of contact, he was outstanding. Delivery was seamless. We had such a tough time trying to pick our flavors- they were all so delicious. We ended up going with a marble cake and it was incredible! The cake itself was beautiful. My wedding cake was the best cake I have ever had. We ordered the tasting kit, and thank goodness! We had to go with the Puerto rican cake. It was so moist and full of flavor without being too heavy. The staff was available to answer all my questions and made it all easy peasy for me. Seamless Delivery and even put my cake topper on for us, above and beyond customer service. Highly recommended. -

The Cake Girl delivered a beautiful and delicious wedding cake. I requested service from The Cake Girl two weeks before my wedding with very specific design specs. No time for a tasting or an in person collaboration on design. Kirby was kind and patient and delivered a design that was spot on. There were many flavor options, but the almond flavored cake with the Dulce de Leche buttercream was absolutely divine. Even my guest are planning on sharing this tasting again on our anniversary. OMG! The cake girl is the most perfect team! Kirby runs things in the store and on the customer service/communication side while his wife prepares the most magical cakes! Kirby is so responsive and was so helpful in the design/size choosing process. They are so professional and the cake turned out so beautiful! My husband Taylor and I came 6 months early to visit and do a tasting. The cake was not only beautiful, but DELICIOUS! The delivery was prompt and they even helped place my cake cluster flowers on the cake for me with the planner when they got there! We were not able to save the top tier of our cake due to so many guests, however we were able to order custom cake jars later that were exact replicas of the four layers of our wedding cake to freeze. I cannot wait to try them out in a year from now!! 100% recommend the cake girl for your wedding day!!! -

Our Wedding Cake was perfection! The process to make our cake was so easy. The staff was super responsive to all communications. It seems like The Cake Girl and her staff takes great care in what they do. The cake was beautiful. It was exactly as described. All of our guests loved it. One of our friends said it was the best wedding cake they ever had. I loved the ease of picking up a sample cake pack and picking out our flavors and design. The option to include cookie butter as your filling is a must. It left all of our guests guessing what the delicious filling was haha. The desserts that I added on were excellent too. I always wanted to have a dessert platter with a cake. If you want a cake for any event, but especially your wedding. This is the place to go! -

Converted Cake Lovers Now!
We are not huge cake people, but The Cake Girl definitely changed our minds! We hired The Cake Girl based on a recommendation from our wedding planner and we were not disappointed. Our only request was to have cupcakes and cake pops for our guest and the rest we left to them...flavors, design, etc. The end product was awesome and more than we could have imagined! The flavors were so bold and delicious that it left our guests raving about the cupcakes and cake pops. The design of our cake was simple but elegant. We loved it! We did the at home taste testing and the girls were wonderful when we went in to the store. They made the process simple, and gave me plenty of options to choose from. All of the cakes we sampled were wonderful. on our wedding day everything turned out beautiful. We had a cake, variety of cupcakes and brownies for our wedding, by the end of the night there was almost nothing left because everyone loved them. They were also great about letting me make a few changes later on to accommodate some guest dietary restrictions. We were extremely happy with the outcome. -

I told my husband I needed a great cake for our wedding as I am a baker myself. If it didn't taste good and wasn't beautiful I would be thinking that I could have done better. And let me tell you, it was the best cake I've had and it was gorgeous! I have never tasted strawberry filling like theirs in my life and to be honest I'm a little jealous of their recipe. I got so many compliments on our cake the next day. They also were so great to work with and saved us after a vendor left us hanging last minute. -

We loved The Cake Girl for our wedding day! With our first booked cake vendor going out of business a few months before wedding day, The Cake Girl was able to step in without missing a beat. Kirby made the whole process so smooth. We did a combination of a small two-tier cake (strawberry cheesecake) + lots of fancy cupcakes (cookie butter, carrot cake, butterfinger and blueberry lemon) and our guests loved them! We even had tons of leftovers for our friends and family, which was the best part 😊 Reasonably priced, great communication and delivery. We actively refer them to friends and family! -

Cannot say enough good things about the entire Cake Girl team!!! Kirby and rest of staff were wonderful to work with from start to finish. We had an idea in mind of the artistic wedding cake we wanted, and with Kirby's guidance along the way it came out even better than anything we could have imagined. Equally, Cake Girl blew our "Goon Squad" themed groom's cake out of the water too! So much so, that sports radio show hosts Pat Donovan & Aaron Jacobson of the "Pat & Aaron Show" crashed our wedding reception to see firsthand... also one of the top wedding highlights for my husband! Not only did we have multiple guests tell us the cakes were best they've ever seen, but there was no wedding cake leftover either (yes, our guests ate every last bite)... we strongly recommend the mocha cream cheese filling! Thanks Cake Girl for making both our wedding and groom's cakes a huge hit, both in design and taste, and thereby helping add to our Best Day yet! We'll definitely be returning customers for all special occasions ahead! -

Our dream wedding was on 11.11.22. I always believe that customer service goes a long way. The customer service we received from Kirby made my wife and I choose The Cake Girl on our very first cake tasting visit. The moment my wife and I walked in, Kirby was excited to help us. He brought our wedding cake vision to life. The two most important factors for us were that we didn't go over our cake budget and Kirby made us feel comfortable, being that we are a same sex couple. From design to delivery, he executed everything with 100% customer satisfaction. We thank him again
for his help in designing and creating our dream wedding cake.
Our cake: We chose a 3 tier with delectable layers of rum cake with dulce de leche and cream cheese icing and chocolate cake with cookies and cream cream cheese icing. Our guests raved about how good our cake tasted. -

The custom cake process was efficient. I asked for a MUCH smaller cake, but received a cake for the entire floor of my hotel. I specifically requested a smaller cake as we had no guests. It truly was just a beach ceremony for us. I was stunned when I picked it up. HOWEVER, who can complain when the cake was as beautiful and decadent as shown? We wound up giving the bottom buttercream and raspberry cake to the staff at the hotel. Hope they enjoyed. We saved the top for our anniversary. I ordered the topper and floral pics from Etsy.
Will definitely order again for my daughter's birthday. (Much smaller.) -

I am a destination bride. It was a struggle to find a cake shop willing to ship cake from FL to NJ and thanks to my wedding coordinator at the Hyatt in Clearwater, I found the Cake Girl
Kirby (my cake lead) and his team did a great job designing and delivering pur cake. It is exactly what we wanted and looked exactly how we hoped. The cake was marble with cookies n' cream fling and it was delicious.
We may not have seen them on the day but I was soo happy how everything turned out. The Cake Girlnwas so easy to work with and so quick to respond. They helped me get my cake ordered asap since we lost our 1st cake 3.5 months before the wedding. We worried no bakery would help us, hut they Cake Girl dud and they did great. I'm so happy we found them.
We got a 3 tiered cake and 4 different flavors of mini cupcakes. Everyone loved the cupcakes and cake. The kids loved the cupcakes. -

HIGHLY recommend!! They were our HEROs for pur wedding cake vendor The Cake Girl in Tampa — the week before the wedding we had our original cake vendor cancel our cake on us out of the blue and we’re were left scrambling and so so stressed…. Kirby from The Cake Girl and their team were able to step in to save the day- and it was the epitome of “blessing in disguise” because we ended up having the most BEAUTIFUL cake that Kirby worked with and upgraded our original design and made it look so much better, and the combination of flavors we had of cinnamon roll and chocolate raspberry they were able to do and it was absolutely delicious!! Kirby and the cake girl team were absolutely incredible to work with, and if you need a cake for any event in your life I highly recommend The Cake Girl bakery in Tampa!! Our guests loved it!!! Gorgeous Wedding Cake, Creative Grooms Cake and Yummy Cupcake
I highly recommend the Cake Girl especially for specialty cakes for special occasions like a wedding or anniversary. I trusted my wedding cake to the Cake Girl and they did an incredible job! They blew me away with their hospitality, service, creativity and expertise!! Plus the cake tasted AMAZING not to mention eight different varieties of cupcakes!! The miniature cupcakes were so unique and the talk of the wedding party! The Cake Girl created a custom banana flavored cupcake called the Saddlebrook which was so delicious! I highly recommend adding a specialty cupcake for your wedding that is meaningful for your marriage. The wedding cake process was so convenient too because we got to take the cake flavors and frostings home with us to make our own combinations. My favorite combination was the Puerto Rican cake with coconut filling and butter cream frosting! It was so delicious that I could eat it everyday! Another special part of our wedding was the Stanley Cup themed grooms cake that not only tasted scrumptious but looked like the actual Stanley cup! The Cake Girl was the highlight of our wedding! When you work with their team, you are in the best hands possible and your wedding will be everything you hoped for + and more!!! -

We started with a tasting box with 4 flavors of cake and 4 fillings. The cake (including the vegan chocolate) was so good and moist that we didn’t bother looking anywhere else! We ordered a 3 tier cake with different combinations on each tier. We went with a simple buttercream design so that we could use our wedding flowers as decoration.
In addition, when we picked up the box, the woman behind the counter gifted us 6 mini cupcakes to try. She was an excellent salesperson! We ended up ordering 13 dozen in 8 different flavors and almost every cupcake one was eaten before the night was over!
The Cake Girl was also very understanding and worked with us to adjust our order when our guest count ended up lower than expected. -

Cake tasting was my favorite part of wedding planning & it solidified that I was making the right choice because each flavor & filling was amazing! Our wedding cake was beautiful and our favorite tier was coconut cake with guava filling! I also surprised my now husband with a Nepresso pod shaped groom’s cake and it came out PERFECT! He loved it so much & it was chocolate with raspberry filling, so we had multiple flavor options for our guests! I have nothing but great things to say about Kristina and Kirby Lavalee!! We found this company on Wedding wire. Being from Maryland, I had not idea really where to start looking for a wedding cake vendor in the Tampa area. After looking over their website, I knew this was the company for me! I love sweets and I love variety! This company had it all. The pictures of the cupcakes are such a tease. We decided to do a cake to cut for our wedding and the have a bunch of random flavors of cupcakes for our guests to enjoy. We arranged a trip to Florida and due to COVID the Cake Girl was not doing in store tastings but they did arrange a time for us to come by to pick up one cupcake from each flavor that we picked for our wedding. These cupcakes were oh so yummy and had me wanting more. Our wedding was supposed to be November 2020. We rescheduled it and The Cake Girl just transferred our order to our new date. Fast forward to now, sadly, we had to actually cancel our Florida wedding being from out of state. We did not get to use them on our wedding date but I would highly recommend them for many reasons! Customer service and responsiveness was top notch from day 1. We will use them in the future when we return to the Florida area!! -

Wonderful Experience
My wife and I found The Cake Girl as we were scrambling to find a vendor that offered vegan wedding cakes in the area surrounding our ceremony. Our original vendor was no longer available due to COVID, but The Cake Girl was available, responsive, and tended to our needs excellently. Our cake was exactly how we envisioned and then some. Plus it was absolutely delicious. The Cake Girl even delivered to our reception venue. If you are in the Tampa/surrounding area, we would absolutely recommend The Cake Girl. -

From our first experience at the tasting, to our wedding day, Kristina (The Cake Girl!), was amazing! She is so SWEET and was delightful to work with. She customized DELICIOUS mini cupcakes to match our blush rose theme and our cake was more beautiful than we could have ever imagined! On top of that, the price was so reasonable! They delivered and set up everything the day of the wedding and we didn't have to worry about a thing. 10/10 recommend!

Wedding Cake
I ordered my wedding cake from the cake girl with delivery. The cake was delivered on time and was exactly as requested. It was not only beautiful but tasted great! We had the vanilla cake with buttercream frosting and fresh strawberry filling in both layers. So many compliments on the cake appearance and flavor! Definitely recommend!! -

Very delicious cake! We did almond with a boston cream layer and a strawberry filling layer. INCREDIBLE. My only caveat with this vendor was the lack of communication. I did an original cake tasting but wasn't sure what flavors I wanted and they said I could choose closer to the date but then never reached out. I called about 2 weeks prior to the wedding and got it all squared away easily and had a great experience on the phone but my best advice is to stay on it and call instead of emailing! We originally had a $5 per person voucher from our wedding venue to buy a cake here but unfortunately due to the hurricane our venue was damaged and we had to move venues. This did make the cake extremely expensive. Roughly $550 more than we originally anticipated prior to the hurricane.
