Beautiful and delicious cakes!
Cheryl is the best. We live in Georgia and she sent several cakes overnight for us to taste. They were all so delicious that it was difficult to make a decision. She is very detailed with her designs. Both cakes were so beautiful and moist! Thank you Cheryl for an awesome experience! -

A great experience

Amazing Experience & Wedding Cake
Cheryl is a complete dream to work with, you can tell right off the bat from talking with her that she genuinely cares about you and what you are looking for in your wedding cake! She made our whole experience from cake and dessert tastings to finalizing decisions SO much fun and wish I could do it all over again with her. Our wedding cake and desserts were incredible our guests loved our assortment, they are just too good! Her chocolate shortbread cookies and cupcakes are DIVINE. She added a little personal touch with succulents from her garden which just added to our wonderful experience. Do not hesitate to book her, she truly cares about you and every detail! The sweetest woman you will ever meet! -

Perfect! Very pleased
We had a four tier cake made and it came out perfect! Cheryl did an excellent job and blew our minds with her work. Definitely worth the price and gave out cake as our parting gift on the way out. Definitely reccommend! -

Wedding Cake
Cheryl is one of the sweetest individuals that i have every met! She made picking out a wedding cake so much fun. Since we were a destination wedding, she happily shipped us samples to try. Picking the flavors was harder than I thought! Could not have picked a better person to bake this cake for my wedding. -

Amazing and delicious!
We booked Cheryl to provide a massive dessert table for our 250 guests at our wedding. From the very start, Cheryl was amazing! We are based in Colorado and Cheryl mailed us samples of her cakes and desserts so we could plan from afar. Not only were her desserts amazing, but she goes above and beyond for her clients which made planning with her super fun. She has great ideas and we put together a fantastic plan for our dessert table. Unfortunately, we had to cancel our November 2020 wedding due to COVID, but Cheryl was fantastic and we plan to order desserts from her each time we visit the panhandle! -

Delicious and Beautiful
Cheryl did an amazing job the cake looked and tasted amazing! I found her and coordinated with her through Sunquest cruises, about a year before the wedding and I was halfway across the country but Cheryl still did an outstanding job. She overnight-ed samples of cake for my then Fiance (now husband) to try so we could properly choose the right flavors. I don't know how but the cake was amazing every sample and I wish I had more, but we ended up choosing key lime and decadent chocolate because its a Florida wedding! The cake tasted amazing and looked gorgeous. I would highly recommend for anyone looking for a fantastic cake to make their big day!! -

Such a wonderful experience
Wow, the desserts from The Cake Destination are some of the best I’ve had. Seriously! Cheryl is a sweetheart to work with and has so many good options to choose from. We went went an assortment of desserts and a small cake for our wedding, and they flew off the displays! We received many compliments on how delicious all of the sweets were. You won’t regret working with Cheryl :) -

Extraordinary!!
We met Cheryl in March of 2018 while visiting with vendors in the area in preparation for our destination wedding on October 9, 2018. She was a breath of fresh air after meeting with another, rather stuffy, vendor! Cheryl was kind and open and so excited to make all our dreams come true! She listened to our ideas and got to work creating the wedding cake of our dreams. The day of our rehearsal finally arrived and we were told that we would not be able to have our ceremony the next day as planned, as Hurricane Michael would make landfall in 36 hours. Unbeknownst to us, Cheryl had already completed our cake, but our planner did not notify her that we already had our ceremony 24 hours early due to the mandatory evacuation, so we never got to see or taste our cake :( Fast forward to February of 2019, my wife and I were planning a trip down to Santa Rosa Beach in April to have some photos taken by our original photographer. I reached out to Cheryl on the off chance she would be able to make a small cake for us. She was so excited to hear from me and couldn't believe all that had happened. She not only made the most beautiful and delicious cake we have ever had (Key Lime!), she also made yummy cupcakes in our second flavor (Godiva white chocolate) so we could taste that as well! (And can you believe the detail in her gum paste lily?! She's seriously incredible!) We didn't have a florist this time around, so Cheryl reached out to her vendors and found the only florist in the area that had orchids from Hawaii! I cried tears of absolute joy and gave Cheryl a huge hug when I saw her because she truly made a traumatic experience so much better. She did not have to do any of this, but she did it out of the kindness of her heart. Thank you, Cheryl, for making our day (the first AND second time!)!! We would recommend Cheryl and The Cake Destination to EVERYONE!! -

The perfect cake!
Don’t look anywhere else! Cheryl is your cake lady! She has a vast variety of flavors to choose from and all of them are amazing. We never thought we were going to choose piña colada cake for our wedding but omg it is amazing. I shared with her all my ideas of what I wanted and it turned out perfect! Amazing cake, amazing flavors!!!! Delivery on time and will definitely will hire her again for my cake needs. Hire the cake destination now
CHERYL IS AMAZING. She goes above and beyond for her customers!! Our minds were blown when we went to do the tasting and we got to choose from 15 DIFFERENT CAKE FLAVORS!! We ended up with Toasted Coconut, Key Lime, and Godiva White Chocolate. SO SO GOOD. For our desserts we had an awesome spread of magic cookie bars, assorted macaroons, Rice Krispie treats, Italian wedding cookies, cream puffs, and white chocolate covered strawberries. All of our favorite things! Believe it or not it was all devoured by our group of 110 people!!! I've never heard wedding guests rave so much about cake! She worked with me and our florist to get the perfect cake design and to also decorate the dessert table as well. I cannot thank her enough for all of her work in making this day perfect for us! Hire her IMMEDIATELY. -

I don't even know where to start! Cheryl is the cool aunt we all wish we had! She is amazing at every aspect!!! I am from Buffalo New York so just like everyone else planning a destination wedding it is very hard to pick vendors from so far away. I will say with full honesty that I was beyond pleased in my choice with The Cake Destination that I want everyone getting married in Destin to book with her! I assure you you will not be disappointed! My cupcakes and cakes came out just like the pictures and tasted even better! (you really can taste the love in the cake!)

You MUST hire Cheryl to be your cake lady! She is so easy to work with and thorough and detailed. I was pleasantly surprised that she mailed about 2 dozen delicious samples to Ohio as I was planning a destination wedding. Our cake looked like something from Cake Wars! It was beautiful and tasty and exactly what I had envisioned. I had to attach a picture of our cake so you can see how awesome it was...I didn't want to cut it when the time came. From our first phone call when she helped us completely design our perfect cake, to the moment we enjoyed it at the wedding, our experience with Cheryl was wonderful. If you are getting married in the Destin area, you need to get your cake from Cheryl and The Cake Destination! Cheryl met with my family and me early on in the process so we could taste many different flavors of cake and they were all so flavorful and delicious! We narrowed it down to three flavors and they were just as delicious on my wedding day as they were at the tasting! Cheryl worked to make the design I wanted come to life even though she hadn’t ever done one exactly as I wanted before. She also made gorgeous sugar hibiscus flowers that cascaded down the cake and she worked tirelessly to get the flowers the color I wanted even though it wasn’t easy! I can’t stress enough how amazing she was to work with and how delicious her cakes are! She even made fillings to put on the side so that guests could add a little more flavor only if they wanted to! We tasted with three different bakers and she was by far the best! -

Cheryl was an absolutely wonderful person to work with for our wedding cake! We live in Colorado and were planning to get married in Destin, FL and had to do everything from afar. Cheryl made that SO easy. We talked on the phone, got to know one another, and then she MAILED us a dozen or so cake samples to trial. That was one of the highlights of wedding planning for us. We ended up having a mini cake tasting with our maid of honor and picked two different cakes for our wedding cake, and surprised my husband with a grooms cake - it was chocolate and peanut butter and everyone was raving about it after the wedding. We LOVED every part of working with Cheryl and the cake from the Cake Destination. It could not have been more amazing or delicious! I would recommend her to anyone, she is amazing!!! -

I cannot say enough about Cheryl's hospitality and the beauty of our wedding cake. She was a pleasure to work with. Cheryl's cakes are stunning, delicious, and an incredible value for the quality. My hunsband and I had so much fun sampling all the delicious options. We ended up doing a 4 tier French vanilla and amaretto buttercream wedding cake, a chocolate ganache FSU Seminole grooms cake (SO delicious!!), and assorted cupcakes to honor my sister's birthday. When planning a wedding while living outside of the state from where your wedding is occurring, it can sometimes be stressful. From the moment I spoke to Cheryl on the phone, she put me at ease. She offered to even mail me samples could we not make it to Destin to taste test. However that was not needed we went over a holiday weekend she met us at her shop and had a spread ready for our tasting. By far the most exquisite and decadent flavors around- the Lemon, Amaretto and Orange flavors were superb. Her cakes are light, fluffy and most importantly moist. We have received many compliments on our beautiful cakes ??
Ms Cheryl went above and beyond by offering gluten free cupcakes to our family members who cannot tolerate traditional cake and did an absolutely stunning job with the presentation.. we cannot say enough kind words about our experience with this vendor. HIGHLY recommend!! ?????? -

Cheryl with The Cake Destination is a joy to work with. You truly feel like family. It did not feel like we were working with a business...it felt like we were working with a close family member that REALLY put her heart and soul into the quality of our cake.
We were a destination wedding and I just love how easy it was to get in contact with Cheryl. You can tell she LOVES what she does and is very knowledgeable in her craft. She thinks about the special touches and memories. For example, our cake tasting was fun. She had tons of flavors we could taste and take home and she did all of this complimentary. We didn't waste any time hiring her on the spot.
The design of the cake turned out to be AMAZINGGGG!!! Everyone raved on how beautiful the cake looked and how out of this world the cake taste. When I walked into the room I couldn't help but cry because every single detail was PERFECT!!!

Cheryl with Cake Destination was wonderful to work with and our cake was a delicious work of art! I came in with ideas and she brought them to life, including incorporating the real flowers used in my bouquet. I interviewed several cake bakers and Cheryl actually "interviewed" my husband and I because she wanted to make sure she was a good fit for us. She's so much fun and gave us so many cake choices but in the end, she created an amazing cake that was exactly what I envisioned. Having a destination wedding can be stressful and dealing with a professional like Cheryl made it so nice. -

We had our wedding at Henderson Park Inn on 10/23/2016. Cheryl did such a amazing job on our beautiful cake. I found one of her cakes that she had previously made on Pinterest. We went with her French vanilla and white chocolate flavors, which were delicious! Plus, Cheryl is so sweet and kind! She was wonderful to work with! Cheryl did an amazing job with our cake! 1st off, she has the best attitude ever! She's a go getter and she wants to make your cake exactly how you dream it. We looked at a couple pictures and took ideas from all of them and she turned it into the idea I had in my head. When I saw it on my wedding day I was so happy with the final product!!! I was laughing too because the next day my husband asked where the rest of the cake went. I told him we saved the top but the rest got eaten by guests. hahaha he was so shocked, but I wasn't because everyone was coming up to me saying the cake was amazing. I kept hearing "It's like real cake! Not like yucky fondant cake" :) That made me so happy. Our tasting was amazing too! She had 12 flavors for us to try so don't worry about choices... she's got it all. -

Cheryl Pietrcolla, I don't have enough words to describe her delicious and gorgeous cake. From the get-go, Cheryl was extremely helpful and incredibly sweet. She went step by step to describe the various cake designs she offered and gave me recommendations for my themed wedding. She was a complete professional!!! I hate that I can only give 5 stars because The Cake Destination deserves like a million stars!!!! Reviews are so hard to write sometimes, but these guys are the bomb.com. First, Cheryl is like so sweet and super easy to work with!!! When we were picking out the cake, she would listen to what we were looking for and consider our budget and work with us to find something both really attractive, but within budget (and we all know how helpful staying in budget is!!!) Next, her ideas for cakes so so helpful and beautiful and has so many pictures for you to chose which things you like about each cake to add into your own cake. Next and probably most important, we had such a difficult time picking out flavors for our cake, because all her flavors are absolutely incredible!!! Seriously the best cake I have ever tasted! Next, she would send me emails/texts regularly as we got closer to our day, which was super sweet!! We got both a wedding cake and a grooms cake (Mississippi State cowbell- Hail State!!!) and they turned out absolutely incredible. Words cannot describe how beautiful these cakes were. I legit had tears in my eyes. I hated cutting them because they were a piece of art!! But they tasted amazing and my guests loved them! She even surprised us with two red velvet cupcakes, because it wasn't a good color to add to our white cake, and we had a chance to enjoy her cakes since we didn't get a chance to eat any other than the tasting. Overall, y'all need to hire this lady- you won't be disappointed!!! -

Cheryl exceeded our expectations. I am a year and a half into my marriage (I was married May 9, 2014) and I am a little late on a much deserved review. I planned my wedding out of state and was hesitant to choose any vendor because I was afraid of scams. I managed to choose the best vendors for my wedding. My number one was was Cheryl. She made me feel extremely comfortable with the long distance decisions, she kept in touch, she was prompt in her timing with returning calls/emails and answering questions, she was extremely fun to work with, and my overall satisfaction with her is exceptional. When we did get a chance to visit and meet her to go over final details, her confidence comforted me. I knew my one and only wedding cake was in good hands and I trusted every decision she made and every detail for our perfect cake that she presented to us. In addition, for our one year anniversary, we had our cake a year later. Our cake Traveled from Florida to Kansas 4 days after the wedding with Cake in tow (in a cooler), then stored it in our freezer the min we got home. A year later our cake was like the day of our wedding. It still tasted the same and seemed to be as fresh as the day we had it for the first time. I was (and still am) in awe of Cheryl and all of her amazingness. I am copying and pasting the email I sent to Cheryl on our anniversary in May. It as follows:
Wow. Cheryl. Just. Wow. You are the most amazing cake inventor ever. You outdid yourself with our wedding cake. Can you travel and be our cake lady wherever we are in life? A year later and it tastes like the wedding was today. Amazing. Just wow. David and I are blown away. So thankful to have had you for our special day. I'm never losing you as a contact.
You will not be disappointed when choosing Cheryl at The Cake Destination. I would spread the word and recommend her to anyone, at anytime, for any occasion.

One word for " Our Cake Lady" = Wow. Cheryl truly made our day and was extremely patient and helpful to my husband and I. From the very first time we spoke to her we new this was our lady. Seeing how I lived in Atlanta and was planning a wedding in Destin, FL was nerve wrecking enough... Cheryl was so warm and re-assuring ( even sent us samples) that she made our most memorable day a huge success. Here were are a year later and my husband and I were able to re- live our special day by cutting into our top layer. Still delicious ! Now if you are a chocolate lover, you must get the Godiva Dark Chocolate Cake with moca cream. We had a breakfast the morning after the wedding, and I had guests request a piece of this cake, and some wanted to bring a piece home. Her cakes are moist, fresh and beautiful. My experience with Cheryl was amazing from start to finish. From the very first email we were treated with the utmost courtesy and professionalism. We were able to meet with her before the wedding, not only did she let us taste every delicious cake flavor she had to offer but she walked us through every last design to make sure we felt comfortable in picking a design that was a perfect fit for the ceremony. And boy did she deliver. Not only was the cake beautiful and elegant, it was absolutely delicious!!! Everyone at the wedding raved about how perfect it was. Cheryl, I can not thank you enough for providing such a memorable contribution to our wedding. I'm just glad we still have the top layer to eat in a year, I wanted to eat it all that night!!! -

Our wedding cake was so beautiful. We are from Louisiana and we didn't even to drive to florida to try cake sample. Mrs. Cheryl sent them over the mail. It was so many different samples too. I had a tummy ache after eating all that delicious rich cake. Our wedding cake was the hit of our reception. She delivered and set the cake up and everything. She was so sweet and I'm so happy we chose her to do our wedding cake. -

While preparing for my wedding, my then fiance' and I got to know Cheryl and Leo, owners of The Cake Destination. We became friends while working on our wedding cake & groom's cake. We absolutely LOVED working with Cheryl and her husband, Leo! They truly brought our dream cake to life, and it was PERFECT. Not only was it stunning, but delicious! 6 months later, our guests still rave about the amazing and unique flavors of our cake! Cheryl brought dozens of cake flavors to our meeting.. Ghiradelli white chocolate, toasted coconut, piña colada, red velvet, berry parfait...You name it, she has it!
Planning a wedding can be extremely stressful.. Especially if it's a destination wedding (like I had). Cheryl kept in constant contact with me, sending pictures, or just texting to see if I needed anything from her. She truly made my wedding an amazing, stress-free experience. She is such a joy to work with and her bubbly personality is contagious. I love this woman, and would reccomend this business to anyone! -

My only complaint, she has so many delicious flavors to choose from which make it very difficult to decide. Cheryl is quick to fix this problem by allowing you to choose multiple flavors. Our wedding cupcakes were absolutely perfect. Our wedding planner told us they would hold up in the August heat and they did. They were delicious, I ate 6 or 7. When it came time to taste the cake, I was stressed out and ready to be done with all the planning. My mom, husband, and I met Cheryl at her bakery where she greeted us all with a hug like she'd known us for years, even though we'd only corresponded through email up to that point. As soon as we met her, the stress just disappeared! She'd prepared a sample of at least ten (maybe more!) different kinds of cake as we didn't know where to begin with flavors. EVERY SINGLE ONE was absolutely delicious and it was a very difficult decision, but we finally decided on berry parfait and pina colada. The one flavor she hadn't prepared was red velvet (which I didn't want for the wedding cake anyway, but my now husband loves), and when he mentioned he liked it, she offered to throw in some red velvet cupcakes for us at no additional charge! She also had the idea of adding crystals to my cake which added to the elegant look I was going for.
On the day of the wedding, the cake was delivered promptly and was more beautiful than I'd expected. Cheryl coordinated with our florist to decorate the cake with real flowers and with a rental company to get a cake stand that complimented everything beautifully. I couldn't be happier with my entire experience with The Cake Destination and would recommend them 100%. -

After many cupcake tastings and meeting vendors, my husband and I knew Cheryl was it. She came prepared with a portfolio of her awesome work and gave us samples of her cakes. Cheryl was fantastic. I felt like an old family friend had come back into my life just to make my wedding cake. Since I was an out of town bride cake tasting can be rather difficult to schedule, Cheryl has this worked out she will overnight you cake samples and then have a phone meeting with you to discuss all the flavors. My husband and I decided on the lemon chiffon and toasted coconut (both of which were to DIE for!!!) All of our guests were constantly commenting on how beautiful the cake looked and how even more delicious it tasted. Cheryl was happy to listen to all of my ideas and give me feed back. We spent a long time on the phone for our first consultation going through pictures of cakes she's done in the past and ones I found online to make sure we both understood what the cake would look like!! and it turned out even better than I imagined. -

Cheryl Pietrcollo of The Cake Destination was INCREDIBLE! We were referred to her by a wedding planner we met at the bridal dress shop, and she was beyond everything she was cracked up to be! Cheryl is a bundle of love, enthusiasm, kidness, excitement, and creativity! She was SO warm from the start, and was very prompt, professional, and a delight to work with. She also recommended our rental/floral/decorator, which was a HUGE help!
I gave Cheryl a couple of pictures, and we decided on a more unique cake. I was FLOORED when I saw the cake on my wedding day!!! It was better than I had imagined! Not to mention it tasted delicious! We had French Vanilla and White Godiva Chocolate cakes. I can't wait until my first anniversary to eat it again! I loved working with Cheryl, and I would highly reccommend her and The Cake Destination to anyone on the Emerald Coast! -
