Summer Wedding

The staff at the Cake Boutique helped make our day so special! The cupcakes were amazing!!! The cake was even better!! They helped pull off a wonderful surprise for my husband! They truly take time to get to know everyone and what they are needing!

Stella was so amazing from the minute we decided to hire her to make our wedding cake! We were planning our wedding from out of town and she helped accommodate our schedules. Deciding on flavors was a challenge because they are all so delicious...so we had 3 cakes (it was a big wedding and we just couldn’t pick one!) Our cake was perfect, beautiful and so delicious and the sheet cakes were heavenly!! We received so many compliments and questions about where we got our cake. We happily told everyone we hired The Cake Boutique and would recommend Stella and her team to anyone! Thank you!!

I did not get my entire wedding cake from the Cake Boutique. Instead I purchased two cupcakes made to look like a bride and a groom. Both were adorable and tasty. They know how to put decorate a cake!

My experience with the Cake Boutique was wonderful. I planned my wedding from hundreds of miles away and they were a breeze to work with via phone and email. When we were in town, they made time so we could sit down to discuss and do a tasting. They made suggestions that fit our reception size rather than simply adding dollars onto the bill. They took time with us to make suggestions and to try different combinations of things. I called a week prior to ensure all was going to go as planned, that we were on the same page and come the day of the wedding my cake was sitting there gorgeous as could be. We are beyond amazed at the simplicity it was to work with this company and how much they went over and above, even for a smaller cake like ours, to make sure everything was perfect.

My cake was exactly what I had pictured, plus it was delicious. We also ordered cupcakes, some seemed to be iced wrong, but in the end were all delicious and everyone loved them. They have so many flavors to choose from. I would definitely recommend them!

We came to Penny and Stella with an idea for a Cinderella themed cake. We wanted it to appear that the Cinderella birds were decorating our cake. They said this wasn't like anything that they had done before but they were willing to give it a shot. Our cake was AMAZING! I couldn't have wished for a prettier cake.

The Cake Boutique and Stella were wonderful to work with. We did a cupcake "cake" with 5-6 different flavors, and everyone raved about how wonderful they tasted. Stella completely captured the look of what I wanted with the cupcakes and with the 6" cake that we cut. I couldn't have been any happier with what The Cake Boutique did for us!! I would highly recommend them and will absolutely be a returning customer. Thanks again!

I was at a Bridal Show looking for florists and bakeries. I stopped and saw Bananas Foster cake. I had to try it. It's one of my husbands favorites. It was amazing. Like, "wow" good. I told my husband that he had to go try this cake, even if we didn't book them. We went to tastings at a few local bakeries first. Then made the trip from east of Pittsburgh to Ohio. As I suspected, he loved it. We liked everything we tried. We decided to go with cupcakes, since they have so many amazing flavors and it was so hard to pick. We did Bananas Foster, Oreo, and Strawberry Cheesecake. I don't like chocolate cake generally, because it can be too dry and it's not my favorite. I loved all of the flavors, honestly. We rented the cupcake stand and had a small cake for us to cut. I made the decision to drive out and pick up my cupcakes the day before my wedding - not a short drive. That's how good they are. Everyone raved about them. They still do. We were at a wedding with some family last weekend and they were talking about them. Stella is so great to work with. I'm so glad I decided to go to the wedding show and found them. Can't wait to make a return visit to pick up more cupcakes.

Delicious cake! We chose to do the "fake cake" with the top tier real so we can cut into it. And we ordered sheet cake for the guests. We ordered unique flavors (Tuxedo and Strawberry Cassata) and they were so great! Highly recommend. Also, our cake we saved for our 1 year anniversary kept very well and tasted very good 1 year later!

We first heard of the cake boutique at the Cleveland bridal show! It was so delicious I kept sneaking back for more. They are about an hour and 20 min drive for us but I drove out 2 before the wedding just to eat there cupcakes. They were a good price and delivery for for the distance was not bad either. Making a trip for cupcakes again this month♡

My Cake Boutique cake was FAB-ulous!!! Not only was the outside heavenly to look at, it was heaven in the mouth too! I ordered it for a Saturday wedding celebration and the left overs are still as perfectly delicious on Tuesday (as I had the last piece today and it hurt my heart it is gone!). White cake with Buttecream icing is the one dessert I am weak for and my reception cake nailed it (I had a small destination wedding in Florida in April and was pleased with the cake I had for my actual wedding, but when I came to Ohio in July for a wedding reception with my family, my Cake Boutique cake, knock me over it was so good!). We saved the cake top layer from The Cake Boutique to have on our one year anniversary and I wish my anniversary would get here already as I loved the cake. I live in Chicago so I conducted all business with Stella via e-mail and she was a joy to work with. Very responsive, profession and sweet. The Cake Boutique is the real deal, my cake was gorgeous and delicious! I wish I lived closer so I could get a cake from here all the time. Last summer I bought a cake from Carlo's Bakery in New Jersery (the one from Cake Boss on TLC). My Cake Boutique cake was 100% better than the Carlo's Bakery cake. It was more moiste and sweet and stayed fresh longer. If you can't tell I loved my cake!

They did both of my daughters bridal shower and wedding cakes and I was impressed. Penny and Stella are great would use them over and over again.

The Cake Boutique was amazing! The bakers/decorators made sure that every detail was perfect and they were open to my suggestions and ideas. The cakes were delicious too and they have many creative flavors! Thank you Cake Boutique!

We had our wedding cake and grooms cake made here!! I only got to have one bite of the cake during our cake cutting but it was delicious!! Also, we had an Airplane cake made for my husband as a grooms cake!! It was the talk of the evening!! We cut it up at the brunch the next morning and it was delicious as well!!

Stella met with me about a month or so before our wedding and put together an incredible groom's cake - my husband is a KU grad, so I surprised him with a Jayhawks cake. It was AWESOME! She also did the top tier for our cake (the rest was made of cupcakes from DC). It was delicious and beautiful.

I have not had personally had a contract with the vendor but my friend gets all her cakes here for every occasion and they are not only amazing looking but amazing in taste. I love them and i will be using them for my future occasions.

The Cake Boutique did a wonderful job on our wedding cake. It was absolutely delicious, and we received lots of compliments on the three different flavors we served. I was somewhat disappointed with the presentation of our four-tier wedding cake, as it was a bit crooked and leaning when it arrived at our reception venue. Luckily, we cut the cake very early in the night, so it was quickly wheeled out to be served to our guests without worries that it would fall over. Nevertheless, it was super tasty, and everything else about it was beautiful.

Penny did a great job on the wedding cake but the groom's cake was the talk of the reception. She did a cake that looked exactly like our dog Madison. Everyone was taking pictures of it. On top of how beautiful the cake was, it tasted wonderful. We had many compliments on how delicious it was.

I loved the cake and the design. I came in with a photograph and they made me a cake that was identical. However, I asked for royal blue ribbon on my cake but I received black ribbon instead. My wedding colors were royal blue and silver not black. Although this was a minor detail it was important to me. Besides that detail I was pleased with the service and value I received.The cake was absolutely fabulous and everyone loved it.

I did not have an appointment to order/discuss wedding cakes, but the staff was able to fit me right in. My husband and I ordered a gluten free cake for us due to dietary restrictions, and it was excellent! They have a lot of different flavors, fillings, and design options. The Cake Boutique was a bit more expensive than other wedding cake vendors, but the cake was delicious!!

Our cake was delicious! Definitely the best cake you will ever eat! The style of the cake came out just like I had wanted... and throughout the process of making it Penny emailed me picture updates to make sure it was how I wanted it to look. Although, I did notice later on in pictures of the wedding that the top layer of our cake was a lopsided. Also, had a little trouble getting them to provide a box to return the cake bottom in, they refused but ended up bringing one on the day of the wedding. Overall, I would recommend The Cake Boutique to future brides!

The cake was beautiful and delicious! They seemed kind of scattered with organization, and after the wedding got snippy with my mother about her deposit, but other than that they were good to work with and we would recommend them because they're delicious and budget friendly!

Almost perfect

I ordered a cake for my parents 50th Wedding anniversary and I also ordered personalized sugar cookies. I went in to the store to show the owner a picture of the wedding cake I wanted re-created And I sent her the picture to her phone for a reference when making the cake. I paid up front and had it delivered. When it arrived I immediately noticed the colors were way off. The cookies looked amazing but I was a little disappointed that the cake colors were Navy blue and light blue instead of Deep Purple and Lavender. It was too late to do anything about it and I already paid. Maybe the person who made the cake was color blind? The cake tasted great so that was a huge plus. Just wish the colors matched my parents original cake.

My daughter & I were excited to try this bakery since they were a winner on Cupcake Wars and we are planning a wedding. We bought cupcakes ($5 for two) so we could try as many flavors as possible. Small cakes are $15 each. Try as we might to like the products, the texture wasn't good, the frosting wasn't good (except for the buttercream). We tried many local bakeries and this one came in dead last. Presently we haven't found a bakery that could edge out our #1 Pick, Giant Eagle! While, GE doesn't deliver, we are working that out and believe our guests will ultimately come out the winners! Sorry, we really wanted to like this bakery but can't give a good cake review.

Disappointed

Proud Veteran here. This place does not offer any sort of discount support to Veterans. Rather than even discuss it they simply said No. Very Thankful we found someone else who is very reputable and offered 10% as well as free delivery and free cake stands. If you’re a veteran or family of a veteran, get your cake somewhere else.
